Google
I’ve been following this food truck around Austin for about 6 years, and it’s the best Indian food in the city guaranteed, and this is coming from an Indian. Ravi, Raj, and his crew put so much care into their dishes and is prepared so well. The quantity is great and it’s very well priced as well. I always leave with leftovers that still taste great the next day too. Their mango lassi is amazing. Truly perfect flavors and I will forever pick this place as my favorite Indian food in Austin.

Google
Our favorite Indian food in Austin. The owners are amazing and go out of their way with good customer service and the food is cooked to order!

Google
Love the food, My family and I have been here multiple times and food is always great. I have tried their all of their dosa’s and recently I tried the tacos and it was amazing.

Google
The most delicious samosas and Tikka Masala! It reminded me of food I would get at Radha Madhav Dham during Holi. Also got the mango lassi, and it was very good, sweet mango. The owner is a very sweet man and opened early for me; I didn't realize he wasn't open yet because the truck smelled so good!

*New Location-7221 McNeil Dr., Austin, TX 78729* Paneer Tikka Masala and Mango Lassi from Konfusedesi Food Truck. They come to the office at Parmer some days and I was super-excited to find them at McNeil today. I usually get the Saag Paneer. You can taste the tradition and love in their food. Chef Ravi and owner Raj are some of the best in the business! Portions are perfect and always leave us satisfied!

Google
Always the best . If you want authentic veggie Indian food don’t go nowhere else . It takes more than including veg items in the menu as most restaurants in austin do . It’s the love and the care that goes into making a good veg dish . Most restaurants use the same spice level etc for meat as well as veg . It doesn’t work that way . Go read some books if you don’t agree . Just simple science or trust my word and come to konfuaed desi . Great location too on 1st st

Google
This is one of my favorite places to eat at. The dosas here are the best I have ever had in the US. So crispy and perfect. The owner Ravi is such a nice and genuine person. We are blessed to have this food truck in Austin. Note that they have moved back to downtown now at 1207 South 1st Street

Google
HOLY MOLY! The Masala dosa and chicken Manchurian bowl were very flavorful and delicious. We ate at medium level for spice heat, and they were not kidding with the spice level. We ate outside on-location , which was very nice, and the staff was very kind and great! Good amount of serving too. We want to come back !

Yelp
Konfusedesi food truck is back in South Austin, this time located on South 1st Street! We absolutely devoured the 3 tacos we had - paneer, chicken and samosa takos. Each taco had a paratha base packed with a generous amount of filling with the protein, rice, avocado and cucumber toppings and delicious one-of-a-kind sauces that are unique to this food truck. The result is that every taco is packed with bomb flavors and tastes different. The owner is a down-to-earth guy, always greetings everyone with a smile and being friendly. He really should try out for MasterChef as his ability to create mouthwatering and flavorful fusion dishes is quite outstanding. There's a few picnic benches next to the food truck and the area is well shaded with trees. Parking spots are available in the same lot as well.

Yelp
Randomly stopped at this Indian food truck place to get some dosas. I got Andhra spicy dosa which was moderately spicy for me ( I am South Indian). It came with dank sambar and chutney. The sambar was thick and had vegetables in it. My friend got set dosa, which came with 4 small dosas. I tried it and it tasted like home. The service was fast. The outside ambiance was good!

Yelp
Amazing food. Literally ate till I was stuffed and still wanted more. The owner is a wonderful guy!

Yelp
Konfusedesi is a food truck serving delicious Indian food. I loved their Chowpatti bowl, which consists of chana masala (chickpea curry), rice, and little bit of salad. The curry is flavorful and definitely on the spicy side, but not so spicy it's inedible. The portions are generous; my bowl lasted me for two meals, and it reheated wonderfully. The owners are very friendly too.

Yelp
Wow... I am slipping on my reviews... I have been meaning to write this review for months. The last I came here, I ordered from chaacha as well as the Mexican food truck next to this one as I knew chaacha would take a hot minute to make the food. Lets get to it, shall we? Vegetable Samosa Fun fact: While samosas are traditionally associated with India, this food actually originated in the Middle East. The name samosa comes from samsa, which is the Persian word for pyramid. The samosa Chaacha made were packed with spicy seasoned vegetables and had the perfect crust to make this appetizer a show stopper! Chili Cheese Dosa I am not a fan of this menu item but Thing Two is. A chilli cheese dosa is a cheesy dosa made with easily available ingredients and are a favorite with littles. This item is similar to the chili cheese toast. Thing Two devoured this all by herself. Hungry Texan The chicken tikka masala itself had a nice, subtle curry flavor. The sauce was creamy and flavorful and seemed to linger after each bite. The combination of cool avocado flavors and the warm curry flavor from the tikki masala made this dish a hit. #supportlocal

Yelp
The best uthappam. Amazing chef with kind and friendly nature. Prepare to be waited before you get your food.

Yelp
I was a fan of Ravi's food when he was at Kurry Takos in central or south Austin. When I heard he had set up shop up north at Konfusedesi, I knew I had to visit. It's a long haul from where I live to where he parks the trailer along 620, but it was worth every drop of gas we burned. The authentic sambar, chutney, and dosa are excellent, just as they were at his previous place. We had a masala dosa and a fried paneer taco, and both were excellent. We were full, and couldn't justify eating more on the spot. So we took two dosas to go for later. Btw if you want dosas, don't wait for the tail end of their hours; when they run out of batter, they're out of dosas and that's that. Dosa lovers, go early.

Yelp
HYPE ALERT If you're looking for some of the most authentic curry, look no further than Konfusedesi. This truck is situated at the Grub Park near round rock and is the real deal, serving up some of the most mouth-watering dishes I've ever had! Let's talk about their lamb curry! The curry is thiccc with three C's, and the lamb was so tender and buttery that it practically melted in my mouth! Bone me. I got extra hot because I like tormenting my body and embarrassing my sweating ass in public. And don't even get me started on the samosas! These little pockets of goodness were so moist and flavorful, plus the owner Raj hooked them up for FREE! It's hard to avoid carbs when they are slingin these babies in my face ugh. Raj puts a lot of effort into each and every dish, and you can tell he has a passion to bring his family recipes to the masses! If you're in the area, you need to check them out, and if you're not in the area (like me) get TF up and go enjoy some of the best Indian Austin has to offer. #austinfood #austineats #atxfoodie #keepaustineatin #512eats #atxfood #atxfoodporn #atxfoodtruck #atxfoodtrucks #atxfoodies (edited) download.gif

Yelp
Great guys running the good truck, fantastic food and their mango lassi's always hit.

Lauren R.

Yelp
This place is amazing!! The owner Raj is so kind and always hooks us up with his best dishes. 10/10 recommend for best Indian food in Austin

Jake B.

Yelp
By far the best Indian cuisine in Austin. The owner Raj cares for his customers and makes the best food!

Yelp
Konfusedesi is a SERIOUS FIND! It's hands down the best Indian food I've had in my 16 years in Austin. Try the Hungry Texan taco it's amazing! The chicken tikka masala was super flavorful and spicy with the tenderest chicken. Even the salad was on point. I'm so sad I don't live in this part of town but honestly it'll be worth a drive in from 45 min away next time I get a hankering. The owner is also the kindest man you'll ever meet. He told me to go eat first while the food was hot and pay him later. And then he even brought me a bottle of water in case it the food was too hot. What a gem!!!

Yelp
We had this food truck out tonight and neighbors loved it. ClearWater Ranch in Liberty Hill. We had a lot of positive comments about the quality of the food. Also on the service and the friendly staff. It was a hit and we will have them back. Highly recommend this truck!
google avatar

Manasa D.

Yelp
Can I copy paste my review of Kurry Takos here? Probably not. Chef has renamed and rebranded and has moved to 15400 Ranch road 620 and has officially turned this food truck park into a legit hub for Indian food. There are now Dosas available for your culinary pleasure. Just come here and eat. You will NOT regret it.

Ruchi J.

Yelp
We hired KonfusedDesi for my husbands 40th bday party. All our guests loved the food! The masala dosa was light and flavorful. The paneer takos had this awesome thick naan and soft paneer. The chicken takos and chicken 65 were also big hits. Mango lassi and gulab jamun were the desserts we ordered and enjoyed. The veg manchurian was delicious but also very spicy. Raj is friendly and easy going and great to work with.

Yelp
Killer curry! Tried this for the first time today on our neighbor's recommendation, and it's some of the best tikka masala I've had in the city in 12 years. Super friendly people, too.

Maribella L.

Yelp
They're so nice and the food is absolutely amazing. If you want a cute little scenic picnic stop it's perfect. I recommend 100%

Yelp
Been here few times as I know the guys who own this place. In fact I have been going to there joint since they were in downtown on Congress. Upon owners recommendation I tried there paneer chili dosa. It was a mixture of fusion dosa with soft paneer and crunchy veggies with hot spicy chutney on the dosa itself. Sambhar was on point as well. It's a neat little food truck parked under the shaded trees. This chili paneer dosa is a must try for everybody ..

Yelp
Oh, hell, yeah. Mast maal taco (lamb). It'll be messy, he said. "Start with a spoon and finish it like a taco." Listen, I haven't eaten anything since a light lunch 7 hours ago, and I'm a 6'2" dude who's always hungry, and I could barely finish that thing. It was AWESOME. The food was spicy for me as an out-of-stater, but not if you're Texan, and certainly not if you're Indian! I was absolutely able to handle it, and taste the food through it, especially with the inexpensive Limca soda to cut the spice. (It's a little like Sprite.) Man, I'm still thinking about that food. will go back. Great atmosphere, chairs and tables, super friendly owners, festive decor, laid back vibe. Really felt like a little corner of India on the middle of Texas. Without the rickshaws or homesickness. Fun fact, the name Konfusedesi *sounds* like it's inspired by the term ABCD, American-Born Confused Desi (Desi meaning a person from the Indian subcontinent or its diaspora)--a term used for folks who've supposedly forgotten their roots. Let me tell you, this place does not seem confused!

Yelp
The menu items have understandably increased (and are very reasonable) since my last review but the food quality remains the same! Run, don't walk to Konfusedesi. The service the owner gives is the best I've seen. He's so kind!

Aja D.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Indian food with great service/prices! I will definitely be coming back to this food truck and recommend to anyone who loves Indian food!

Yelp
This place is my new fave !!! Love the paneer tacos -- I've been here every week for the past month Ravi is super friendly and love that they have a fun outdoor space. Plenty of room for kids to play too Is you love spicy try the chicken 65 ! Intense !! My husband loves the chicken tikka. It's his favorite chicken tikka In town Come check it out !!! Find it on Route 620
google avatar

Damini P.

Yelp
My family and friends love the dosas here. Every time we have guest visit from out of town we give Raj a call and he ensures they're taken care! I recommend giving a call before you head over there because sometimes Google lies/the dosas are first come first serve! The sambar is delicious and our family continuously eats the paneer dosa, chili cheese, and andhar dosa.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
Wish we had known about this hidden treasure in our neck of the woods sooner! Better than any Indian food around here. It's definitely on the spicier side, but the food was great. There are also some jenga blocks to keep the kids occupied so that def allows the parents to spend more time eating there.
google avatar

Atul K.

Yelp
Excellent food and amazing service. Raj and Ravi were really good hosts - we hosted a private event at Konfusdesi and everything turned out great. We had 20 guests over and each and everyone loved it. Thank you guys for making our event a success. I would totally recommend them for catering and private events along with regular eating out days. Texan Chicken Bowl was delicious and dosas were piping hot and yummy

Velma V.

Yelp
I would give them zero stars if I could. They played favoritism to his people and completely ignored my complaints when people cut in line. I love Indian food and support whenever I can but this person in charge was absolutely rude because I was a female from another nationality.

Jacob L.

Yelp
Best Indian food I have had in years! Service was fast , food was hot, and perfectly portioned. Highly recommend for the round rock area!

Ashwani S.

Yelp
Nothing good about it. Food is below average, so is the management. Please avoid this place and save yourself, your time and money. Seems all the good reviews are from family/friends or some well-wishers.
google avatar

Alicia R.

Yelp
Hands down the best Indian Food in North Austin. The menu could use some explaining but now that we know what everything is, it's all super good! The American Punjabi is the best.

Onil G.

Yelp
Best Indian food truck in Austin. Great mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Must try!!

Narmadha P.

Yelp
Very flavorful and tasty food. Tried the Pataka, Chowpaty and American desi. All 3 were unique. Nice and convenient location with benches under a tree.

Sanhitha Rao P.

Yelp
The food tasted really good. Tried a variety of dosas and all were unique and tasty in their own way Will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu Loved the hospitality as well

Yelp
A friend recommended it, since the old iteration of this truck was his favorite. I was blown away by how good it was, and by how awesome the two guys running it were. I had 2 tacos to split with my wife and we both wanted to plan our next meal there, immediately. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. If you go, get some cheesecake from the girls in the tent next door too. That was a killer end to my meal.

Utkarsha P.

Yelp
I don't usually give food reviews. Very good food ! Dosa's are yummy. One dish has lot of quality. The owner is friendly too.

Kia N.

Yelp
I wish we had tried this place before. We drive by almost everyday and never bothered to stop by. Super delicious!!!!! Don't let the food truck decieve you, the flavors and quality is superb.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
The best Indian food in north Austin. Had the Masala Dosa tonight. Just the perfect amount of spice and depth in both the dosa and the filling.

Adarsh S.

Yelp
The best indian street food this side of town. So glad they moved here from the downtown location !!their prices are really reasonable too.

Chauhan A.

Yelp
Best food with closest Indian taste!! Best Dhosa i believe in Austin. Also tried couple of Indian style tacos as well those are really good as well and quite unique.

Reyna D.

Yelp
Excellent food! The owner is very nice..gave us free beer and mango lassis for the kids. A very different and unique desi concept for the first time in Austin. Must try, highly recommend

Adam D.

Yelp
Whoa! This place is very unique and very good. The Samosa Tako is insanely good. The dudes who run this place are very cool and the setting is really cozy. I keep going back and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Pierre D.

Yelp
Tastes like home !! Best unaltered indian in town. Not "americanised" like the rest . Full flavor and a taste adventure !! 100% recommended.

Sri S.

Yelp
Great food ...Great owner ..Great location , just tried their desi taco and veg plate .. it was quite good.. They said they are going to expand the menu next week with more South Indian offerings. Looking forward . Yum
