Konoba Mate

Although a rainy night and the latest available reservation, we were seated in a charming room. Our server was attentive. The food was delicious. The flavors of the traditional dishes we tried were amazing. The desserts were exceptional! We ordered the debut of a salted caramel chocolate cake along with a vanilla cream with lemon curd . Both were delicious, but the chocolate creation was the best dessert we've ever had

This was the absolute most amazing dining experience! The food was outstanding. The service was great and everyone was so kind and attentive. The location was beautiful and all for a reasonable price. It doesn’t get any better than this. We were staying in Korčula town so we arranged transport, which was only 15 minutes. It was one of the highlights of our trip and we are so glad that we did it, and you will be too!

Konoba Mate on Korčula is a true gem among restaurants. We were delighted with every aspect of our experience. The food was exceptional, prepared with great care and perfectly seasoned. The service was impeccable, and we would especially like to commend the waitress who was wonderful – kind, attentive, and professional. The ambiance of the konoba is cozy and homely, creating a sense of warmth and hospitality. The wine list is outstanding, with a superb selection of wines that perfectly complement the flavors of the food. The prices are fantastic as well. Overall, Konoba Mate provides a perfect gastronomic experience that we will remember for a long time and gladly recommend to everyone. We will definitely return to this place!

We visited Konoba Mate on recommendation of our host here in Korčula and we were not disappointed. Greeted by a relaxed, romantic atmosphere we were served attentively without being intrusive. A small menu still provided a tough choice. Starter, main course and dessert were all delicious. We both tried each other’s choices and neither of us could find fault. All in all a great evening, a vibrant feast for the senses and very reasonably priced for the quality of food on offer. I hope we will return before we leave this beautiful island. We only photographed the starters as we were too interested in eating the other courses as soon as was humanly possible!!

Great restaurant. The food was stellar, the presentation appealing and the service absolutely lovely. The mixed starter plate was a real firework of flavors. Would come back anytime!

We were here after a massive rainstorm so the back garden wasnt open but still, there was a gas heater, lovely waitress, funny dog and cats, and amazing food. It feels like you are part of the family. The family that runs the place. Home made pasta and home grown vegetables make the foods very unique. We really liked the desserts as well. Keep it up.

We had an amazing dinner and started with the mixed seafood starter that had delicious anchovies, octopus, prawns, small fish and pickles. Our mains were a combination of the pesto pasta (perfectly cooked) and the veal cheeks that just melted in your mouth. These were complimented by their amazing local wines. The whole dining experience was fantastic and the team were super helpful and made the perfect recommendation on the pairing and quantity of food.

they live on their old glory when you get ( 🙄) a Michelin star, then you expect delicious! at least that... we ate pasta with prawns... I cook it like this: Onion, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic, tomato and cherry tomatoes, white wine // and prawns last, when these are cooked well in this order above ingredients 😊 my prawns in Konoba Mate had nothing but cheap tomato sauce, sadness! , my husband ate in the old town of Korcula, everything is delicious and homemade there, restaurant Škver recommended for great, delicious food 🤗 Škver means shipyard
