The 13 Best Breakfast Sandwiches In Seattle

"This coffee shop is kind of a secret, mainly because it’s located on the second floor of a Queen Anne QFC. But make no mistake, it’s one of our favorite places to grab a breakfast sandwich with juicy sausage, a fried egg, aioli, and a slice of Beecher’s slapped on a squishy toasted brioche bun. If that wasn’t what you had in mind, our feelings are hurt." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Konvene Coffee Review - Queen Anne - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There’s something peaceful about sipping a latte on the second floor of a QFC where nobody can find you. Konvene is one of our favorite coffee shops for their excellent milk steaming and friendly baristas. And even though their seating arrangement is one little counter and a couple of tables (none of which have any power outlets), it works for a short-term work session until your laptop battery dies. And if you’re hungry, they serve an amazing bacon, egg, and Beecher’s sandwich with aioli on a big brioche bun." - Aimee Rizzo

Kovene coffee is a fantastic hidden gem that serves up breakfast and lunch and great drinks. Ronnie was very friendly and easy to talk to and instantly made us feel welcome. The breakfast burrito was fantastic as well as the turkey sandwich. Definitely worth the stop for a quick breakfast or lunch bite of you're in the area.

Google
The owner is really great. We were thinking for a long time in front of the counter, but the he was still very patient and explained everything. My favorite is the smoked ham sandwich and the roast beef sandwich. The smoked ham sandwich has the refreshing taste of apples, which makes the overall flavor even richer.

Google
Just had to leave a review. Amazingly tasty sandwiches and friendly service. They were able to make a grilled cheese sandwich for my daughter who is a picky eater and she ate the whole thing. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and making great food. It’s rare to come across places like this now so wanted to give them a shout out!

Google
Friendly small business serving fresh and tasty food! Will definitely be back! I had burrito bowl with sausage and it was great.

Travis Herman

Google
Breakfast burrito was magical and you could tell with every bite it’s fresh and handmade. Something about the taste was unique and delicious. The vibe is also immaculate. Not sure if it’s always this way, but it’s one friendly dude cranking coffee and breakfast with tunes playing. Can get busy too, and with one guy expect there may be a line and short wait. Definitely worth it IMO.

Google
The owner is great and the place has great coffee. We tried two different pour overs and you can really see the difference. The Ethiopian one was the most unusual we have tasted in a while. I really recommend this place

Google
Weird location but nice enough once you're there, in a loft space above the QFC entrance. It could have more ambience but the space was comfortable and clean, well lit. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Vegetarian breakfast sandwich was delicious. I wish they had an option for it on an English muffin but maybe that's just me , I'm tired of brioche.

WOW!!! I am here on vacation and trying a different coffee spot every day and this place is it!!! Amazing coffee and tea. My wife got the Oatmilk Chai Latte, full of spice and delicious aromatic flavors. He has to make a spice infused syrup or something because this was next level chai!!! My iced Cafe mocha was perfectly smooth, with a rich cocoa flavor, and a velvet finish. Then we ordered a half turkey and a half roast beef sandwich. I really enjoyed the structural integrity of the bread it didn't fall apart, had a lovely chew and a fluffy interior. He lightly toasted the bread added a fig jam spread for the turkey and a horseradish spread for the roast beef. I truly enjoyed both of them. The pickled shallots really balanced and elevated the flavor of the roast beef sandwich beautifully. He dressed and seasoned the greens of each sandwich before layering them in there. (Big difference then dry greens) If you are working in the area and are in a rush, don't skip this place get up earlier and you will have a happier day! I was impressed with his one man show, definitely wears multiple hats but doesn't slack on quality. If I had to guess a well trained chef before opening up this gem of a coffee shop.

Yelp
immaculate food and service. Ronnie is a kind hearted gentleman who runs the place here. He makes the most beautiful coffee with zero bitterness, and enjoys meeting all of his customers. If I could relate coffee to a pop culture moment: The first sip of my vanilla oat latte made me feel like the critic during ratatouille. The first sip reminded me of simpler times during my childhood when my mom would let me sip her coffee to keep me warm as she would take me home from my rainy day baseball practices. This place is without a doubt one of the greatest places to find coffee, food, or a friend.

Yelp
It's in top of a QFC, loft style Didn't know this, might be good for a quick coffee but not one for a coffee date

Yelp
This tiny cafe above a grocery store is adorable! It's a one man show. One guy taking the orders and making everything himself. So do be prepared for a slight wait. But the food is well worth it. Plenty of open seating/tables. We ordered the burrito bowl with sausage and avocado, veggie breakfast burrito, harvest squash cake, and a cinnamon roll. For drinks we got a matcha latte and a mocha. The burrito bowl was very filling. It feels a little more lunch than breakfast but that's on me. I was told the veggie burrito was also good! Also it did not come with any salsa. The matcha latte was unsweetened. So you can add your own preferred sweetener. The mocha was good. The cinnamon roll was really good! It was very flaky like a croissant. It's different from what you might imagine as a traditional cinnamon roll. Very glad to have stopped by here!

Yelp
The food and service is superb! We had the vegetarian egg sandwich, ham egg sandwich and muffins for the group and everyone loved their food. Great find for our Seattle trip. Near the Space Needle. Say hi to Ronnie m, he's the best!

Yelp
I had the Turkey and Arugula Salad and it was delicious. Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Yelp
Fresh tasty food - great hospitality and generosity by Ronny who is the owner, the barista and the cook.

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop in Lower Queen Anne tucked above the QFC. I went right around their opening time, so it was pretty empty despite having ample (and wide variety of) seating. Friendly service, and overall a very laid back vibe. Seems like a good spot for a casual breakfast or to get some work done (they have WiFi!). Food is made to order, so don't expect it to be ready right away, but as others have said it's worth the wait. It really tastes like someone made you breakfast at home, lol. The breakfast burrito was my favorite out of the two things we ordered. Americano was great and reasonably priced. It seems harder and harder to find a cafe where an americano is sub $4, and it pains me to pay that for what is mostly hot water. Will definitely be coming back to try the other breakfast options! The pastries in the case looked excellent, too, so will have to try something sweet next time.

Yelp
I came back here several times during my week-long stay in Seattle. Why? The first visit I found out what a great guy Ronnie is, and what a great cappuccino he makes. The second visit he recognized me and recalled what I'd ordered. On the 3rd visit I'd sent my son, and Ronnie recognized him just from the order! The fourth visit was for the coffee and to say goodbye to a great human being- I would miss both. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
For tasty sandwiches this cafe serves unforgettable food! The cafe is unpretentious not even attractive but the sandwiches and friendly service compensate for it. I had the Avocado Toast and it was beautifully done. No boring just avocado but lots of healthy arugula and shallots over it. The Cotija Avocado Toast is another good choice and with an egg on it, it's perfect harmony! The Roast Beef Sandwich is full of flavor with tender juicy roast beef, an unexpected treat!

Yelp
Literally the best coffee I've had in Seattle so far. My friend had the Chai and also said it was 5/5. The place is very unassuming for being so delicious. Never thought my favorite chill coffee shop would be above a QFC but here we are. Walking distance from the needle and a must visit! Service also amazing. Dude is chill af.
google avatar

Jenna H.

Yelp
This is a small coffee shop in the upstairs of the QFC. There's not a lot of space to sit, but you get a nice view of the needle. The roast in my cappucino was alright, not too acidic. The chai was really good!

Amanda T.

Yelp
This family owned business focuses on fresh made to order food. And it's delicious! Highly recommend it if you are looking for a small bite near the Space Needle!
google avatar

Helen L.

Yelp
Located upstairs inside the QFC Market, you'll find Konvene Coffee. There's bar style seating, a couple high tables, a couple low tables, and a couch to relax and enjoy your food. There's a variety of hot & cold caffeinated beverages to choose from and freshly made hot foods. Tried the ham, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwich and it was soooooo good. There's some kind of garlic aioli in there that tastes homemade and is truly chefs kiss. The place is operated by one person who does it all - he's the chef and the barista, very friendly guy. Would definitely come back here the next time I'm in Seattle.

Yelp
My wife, daughter and I had lunch here and it was phenomenal! My daughter ordered the roast beef sandwich, my wife the avocado toast and I had the cotija avocado toast. My daughter's roast beef sandwich (I had half of hers, she had half of mine) was on macrina ciabatta bread, with white cheddar cheese, aioli, shallots and arugula. The sandwich was amazing with some of the tenderest best tasting roast beef I've ever had. My cotija avocado toast was on macrina volkkorn bread, with cucumbers, lime, shallots, lime and cilantro with egg. It was amazing --- a complicated interplay of flavors on a dish I thought I knew well. My wife's avocado toast had the same ingredients as mine except hers had mama lil's peppers (instead of the cotija cheese and cucumbers). She also had tons of arugula on her avocado toast. All of the ingredients on all of the dishes were very, very fresh. The service from the owner was great: he was friendly, down to earth. The ambiance is simple: a sofa, a few tables, some high top tables with a wooden art piece from I think Sumatra. It's located out of the way upstairs inside the QFC market so it takes a little effort to find it. But it's worth the effort for really great food!

Yelp
This is hands down of our favorite coffee shops in Queen Anne!! They have one of the best chai lattes in the area, excellent toasts and sandwiches, and the owner, Rony, is very accommodating to requests/dietary preferences. He's honestly such a nice guy-- each time we've come in we are amazed at the service. Although Konvene does sit atop the QFC, which might make it tough for some folks to find, it still has a welcoming atmosphere. This place deserves its own brick and mortar shop! PS. We would have included a pic of the avocado toast but we ate it too quick! The portions are also must bigger than other competitors in the area. Thanks, Rony!

Yelp
I came here with my daughter, after reading a yelp review, and we were not disappointed!! The menu is small, but focused, and the food is delicious! The proprietor is also very friendly as well.... he makes me think of Mr. Miyagi off the karate kid, if you were an extrovert!

Rita W.

Yelp
An employee at the Gates Discovery Center recommended Kovene to us . . . telling us Konvene has the best sandwiches every! The owner is fun to speak with, professional, helpful, and provided efficient service. The food is delicious -- we split a turkey, etc., sandwich and each had a delicious brewed coffee. We sat at the counter seats and watched all the people/traffic go by. It was so welcoming and comfortable that we will visit again. Have already told some friends about Konvene as well.
google avatar

Craig D.

Yelp
Really good lattes and smooth coffee and really good bakery items and sandwiches. The staff (i think he was the owner) was a delight. Kind of hard ton find but worth it.
google avatar

Paige L.

Yelp
Cafe tucked in a lil lofted spot within/above the QFC grocery. Great vibe, with bar seating looking out the window, tables and comfy couches. Great service. Excellent coffee and breakfast burrito! Reasonably priced! A gem
google avatar

Pam C.

Yelp
Wow. I finally made myself go in to buy a sandwich. I've been recommended this place for years. I recommend this place to my guests. Yet I've never been. The owners couldn't have been nicer. What a great experience. And the sandwich perfection.if you're looking for a good sandwich to take on a picnic or enjoy on a rainy afternoon. This is your place.

Mary G.

Yelp
We stopped in for the first time before shopping at QFC. Ronnie was very welcoming and we had a nice time chatting. The lattes and the banana bread were great. We'll be back soon for coffee!

Erhard S.

Yelp
We are just delighted with the food and the service of Rony the owner and cook. We had brunch there twice so far and loved it every time. I think noatter what your taste is you will like the available selections. Ambiance is minimalistic but cozy Erhard & joanne
google avatar

Boo A.

Yelp
Yup, just what others said. Great breakfast sandwiches, hand made, fresh. Great breads and pastries too! Super friendly and enjoyable staff. I will definitely be back! Thank you!
google avatar

Eva L.

Yelp
Excellent coffee. Husband had a latte and I had an iced Americano with a splash of mocha. Breakfast sandwich with bacon was good too on a fresh bun. Sooooo good! The service was excellent too. Barista was very friendly and accommodated my specialty drink. Of course, he had to write it down ;) Ambience is not too noisy even though it is above a grocery store.
google avatar

Terry K.

Yelp
Located on the 2nd floor of a multi purpose building, this place isn't the typical standalone sandwich or coffee place you might be thinking of but don't be deceived, this place is legit. I ordered one roast beef sandwich and ended up ordering 3 more. It's THAT good. Using the freshest ingredients and toasted and arranged with care, this is the very definition of a perfectly crafted sandwich. The coffee is on point as well. This was my last meal of a week long Seattle trip and I can't think of a better place to end it.

Mariah R.

Yelp
The owner is incredible. Fast service, great vibes, and the food was out of this world. I got the ham sandwich (half size was perfect) and my husband got the sausage burrito. They were INCREDIBLE!! Packed with so much flavor and was the perfect size. I highly recommend to people visiting or a local who wants a nice spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and some lunch!
google avatar

Zina P.

Yelp
Cute little place above QFC. They have seating upstairs which is kept really clean and organized. They have various sandwiches and burritos which can take some time but it's worth the wait. It seems like they make everything fresh whereas some places heat up pre made sandwiches and burritos. Overall the food is really good. Their chai is SO GOOD. Definitely one of the better chais I've had in Seattle.
google avatar

Mikailah T.

Yelp
As soon as we got there we were greeted with a smile and immediately serviced. The coffee was amazing and so was the food. I got a cappuccino and breakfast burrito, both of which I highly recommend. Perfect spot for a meeting or to get some work done. I'll be back!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I tried the cold brew once and it was alright. I wouldn't go out of my way to get coffee here. It's a tiny shop tucked on the second floor of QFC when you walk in. I'm kind of in love with the balcony style layout and the staff are friendly. I keep wanting to come back to try the food but it just never seems to be open when I'm there.
google avatar

Derek I.

Yelp
Excellent coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I ordered a mocha and the bacon egg breakfast sandwich. Everything was made fresh in front of you. The staff was very friendly as well. Very convenient location above the QFC. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Leah I.

Yelp
Food is spectacular, this place is an absolute gem. I make the drive down from edmonds just to enjoy the delicious food and drinks. Very pleasant experience I highly recommend this place.

Geo X.

Yelp
Wow, this place is amazing Decided to try a new place and Konvene Coffee hit the spot so good! The bacon was perfectly crispy, the shallots nicely tart, everything was made fresh, and I had a nice conversation with the person working there. Give Konvene a go, you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Bryant R.

Yelp
Bland food; slow service Was visiting the area with my youngest and decided to try this place because of proximity and all the great reviews. I'm still scratching my head and thinking maybe it was just an off day. As others have said, the location is a little odd but still comfortable enough for a quick bite of breakfast and a coffee. Counter service was not especially friendly but was fine. And when our food did ultimately come up, it looked good and portions were fair. Taste wasn't bad; it just wasn't great, either. I wouldn't necessarily avoid Konvene, but I also would not seek it out.
google avatar

S W.

Yelp
The egg breakfast sandwiches were fresh, hot, delicious, and only $9! Coffee and tea are available also. Service is excellent!!

R E.

Yelp
Avery good breakfast sandwich. Egg wasn't runny, bacon was perfectly crispy, Macrina bun was tasty, and adding the avocado was the way to go. The place is above the QFC. You get to it by walking into the QFC on the SW corner and go up the stairs.
google avatar

Aaron W.

Yelp
I made a bit of a pilgrimage to Konvene as I'd seen it on Yelp and also am a HUGE fan of breakfast burritos! I was totally surprised to see the food being scratch made per order. I ordered a sausage burrito but they also had ham and bacon. The sausage was excellent and it had potatoes and eggs with a couple mama lils peppers to add some kick and flavor. This was easily one of the best breakfast burritos I'd had in some time, made with Aloha for sure.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
This is my favorite coffee shop in Seattle, hands down. The coffee is great, service is fantastic, and the ambiance is...not what you're expecting based on the QFC below. Get a bacon breakfast sandwich, you won't regret it.
google avatar

Haylee E.

Yelp
This was the absolute best coffee & breakfast I have ever had in my entire life. Everything taste unlike anything I have ever experienced before. The service was amazing, the owner was so nice and inviting, he created the best atmosphere for us. Ps We came on a trip with friends and we are eating this for breakfast all 3 days of our trip, it's THAT good!
google avatar

Prudence T.

Yelp
This is a little owner operated spot that I visited because it was near my hotel. Had a healthy breakfast and coffee was good. Owner is a nice guy!
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Saw this place had incredible reviews so I had to try it! It's located upstairs at the QFC (once you walk in). I got the sausage egg and cheese burrito. The man makes it fresh and it came out after a few minutes. So yum and the peppers are definitely a great addition to the burrito. It's fairly sizable so it makes for a great breakfast too. I can definitely see why this place has such great reviews (mine included!). The guy was also very cool and nice. Definitely come by next time and even get some groceries downstairs afterward!

Eddie S.

Yelp
Wow. What a little gem. Great coffee and food. Please support Ronnie and his business.
google avatar

Kin L.

Yelp
This place is an excellent example of the impact of clean ingredients. The ingredients of the burrito bowl was so fresh, balanced, and clean I couldn't help but want another one. The prices are super reasonable and the taste is phenomenal. This place is a gem. Also the owner gave free food away to a hungry transient. What a man.
google avatar

Caroline W.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwiches are a good I'm particularly picky about. There's a lot you can get right but there's a significant difference in the start of my day when I have a soggy defrosted egg sandwich versus one made with care. And I have now found my new FAVORITE breakfast sandwich near me. I stopped by assuming I'd grab a quick coffee to sip while grabbing groceries at the QFC on the lower lever, but ended up wanting to stick around a bit. The owner of Konvene is incredibly welcoming and warm. He greeted me with a huge smile and after talking for a bit, it's clear he's passionate about what he does. I chose to take a seat and have some breakfast rather than taking my coffee to go. The vanilla oat milk latte was perfectly made, and the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with aioli was top notch. I'll be back!
google avatar

Todd R.

Yelp
Piling on a bit... ordered the cojita toast, a mocha and then a cold brew to go. The toast and mocha were both excellent and reflect the owners understanding of how to balance multiple flavor notes to create food that is a notch above. The cold brew was also good reflecting a solid bean choice. I recommend anyone in the area make this recurring stop.

Trina L.

Yelp
Great and quick service. The food was excellent. We had three burritos and a turkey salad and they all came out hot and fresh. Definitely will bcoming back to visit.
google avatar

Carolina R.

Yelp
Seriously one of the best sausage egg sandwiches I've ever had! My brother discovered it a few months ago when he was visiting and he visited twice in the week he was here cause it was that good. I want to try other things on the menu cause I imagine it is good but the egg sandwich is just soooo good! Definitely recommend it!
google avatar

Pooja R.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this place while I was in Seattle for a vacation. If you're closer to the Space Needle, please head to this place for a delicious kickstart to your day. I ordered their Lil Pepper lemon toast, half veggie sandwich, latte and an americano. Everything about this place is awesome, from the food to the people, you won't leave this place without a smile. The place has so much warmth and friendliness, I bet you won't find a cafe like this. I'm coming again :)

Thomas C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! The coffee selection is so good. The Copenhagen latte was delicious. Really high quality breakfast sandwiches too.
google avatar

Sara V.

Yelp
Nice little coffee and quick bite cafe - we stopped in on a Sunday around 11 and no one was in line or dining at the available seats- the gentleman at the counter suggested the breakfast burritos so we got their Ham breakfast burrito, a bacon egg breakfast sandwich, a latte and a London fog. The breakfast sandwich was stupid good, that was for sure the standout dish for me! The drinks were warm and well made too, though the London fog didn't have much tea flavor in it. The sole guy at the shop took our orders, then right away made the items fresh you could hear the sizzling and see him there at the stove, and our items were out pretty quick. I can imagine there might be a wait if you bring a large party or if it's peak time, so keep that in mind if there's only one person on deck - they're working hard! We've never been as it's a bit tucked away above the QFC, (go into the QFC entrance then take the stairs or elevator up one floor- you'll see it right there) but I'd say it's worth a visit!
