A Must-Stop Whiskey Experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Whiskey Tasting with Presley at Kooper Family Whiskey Presley was absolutely wonderful during our first whiskey tasting! She was incredibly helpful and informative, walking us through a variety of selections with patience and genuine enthusiasm. We had the chance to try several types—including a bold mask rye, a smooth single barrel, and their reserve bourbon. They’re currently showcasing a rich 7-year black label with a smooth, fruit-forward cognac-style flavor. Every pour felt like a story, and Presley brought it all to life. As first-timers, we felt right at home thanks to her kindness and deep knowledge. The ambiance added to the experience—oak-aged barrels lining the space and the American flag proudly displayed, evoking the spirit of freedom and tradition from the Prohibition era. Thank you, Presley, for such a warm and memorable introduction to the world of whiskey. We’ll definitely be back!

I drive by this place all the time and finally stopped in and bought a bottle of the single barrel bourbon. It is very good. Smooth, sweet, hint of smoke. I would have stayed but had the whole family with me, but the inside is very cozy. I would have never guessed how nice it was for a little building off the highway. Priced mid range but appropriate. Highly recommend keeping a bottle or 2 in the cabinet.

Perfect place for whiskey lovers! The old-fashioned was delicious, and the whiskey flights were a fun way to sample a variety. Great spot to relax and enjoy a drink.

Great people. Made my wife and I welcome. Guy over the counter properly gave us suggestions and allowed us to pick what was right for us. No pressure or pushy sales. Would recommend this place to friends and family.

Love the Speakeasy style. Love seeing so much history in one place... it's crazy to think this was a post office originally! Cocktail's we're amazing as well! Can't wait to go back!

What a gem of a place. Unassuming on the exterior, this place is truly great on the inside. From a carefully curated interior design with dark walls, comfortable chairs, pendant lights and great Texas art on the walls to a creative cocktail menu served by a cheerful, attentive mixologist it is most definitely worth the visit. Will return. They also gracefully maintain TABC's two-drink-per-person limit, so don't expect to roll out of there all crazy-like.

The barrel reserve rye is truly unbelievable. It has a great balance of what’s important. The spice, smoke, tobacco, dark fruits, caramel, vanilla, oak…it’s all there!

What a gem!!! My better half offered to stop by on our way to Round Top and who am I to turn down a pre-shopping beverage? Atmosphere: I loved it. Great man cave type feel. Very dark and relaxing with barrels displayed and great lounge seating. What I found really cool was that it smelled just like distilleries we visited a few months back in Kentucky. It was awesome. Service: The bartender Destiny needs a promotion. She was quick, friendly and crazy knowledgeable. She chatted with us for quite a while about the whiskey and had so many great recommendations for things to do around Brenham. We visited 4 of them and they did not disappoint. Whiskey: By no means am I an expert, but this was right up there with some of the great pours I had in Kentucky. If you like Ryes, I recommend the Barrel Reserve and for Bourbon we got a bottle of Prodigal Son. Neither will last long in my collection. Simply amazing stuff they are bottling. Keep it up! Will definitely be back again.

We stopped here on our way to Austin. It's a beautiful, cozy spot with knowledgeable staff who will encourage you to try something to fit your preference. Hubby had an old fashioned. I had a strawberry bourbon lemonade. They were both amazing. Highly recommended for whiskey lovers.

Such a welcoming environment. Tiffany is very knowledgeable of all the blends. The Whiskey Sour and Smoked Old Fashioned are my all time faves. The seating area, old music and dark walls with old pictures make for a very relaxing visit.

I stopped here on my way back from a trip & had a tasting. I like most of their blends, but my favorite is the sour mash, Prodigal Son bourbon. It's pretty smooth with a sweetness as their description suggests. Yesterday my wife & I made an afternoon hanging out there. I tried an Old Fashioned, smoked. It was excellent! If you like whiskey & are passing through Ledbetter TX., Kooper Family Whiskey is definitely worth a visit.

Update from my previous review. You know how it is...sometimes you might have had a couple whiskeys and then you write a review and after a while you say to yourself "self, was it really that good?" Well, my self told me that yes it was. im here to say that Kooper's is actually better than I remember. If you love whiskey, and especially bourbon...you simply MUST try this place. Filled with good music, chill folks that can hold a good conversation, and best of all...great whiskeys and related cocktails. About 5 minutes in and you will be going through an evaluation of what you like. 10 minutes in you will have found some tasty treat you didn't know about. Drink some and enjoy the great atmosphere. Buy some and text your friends and gloat. Take some home and serve and amaze them. Good, good stuff here. Leave your attitude at the door and prepare for glory! You gonna looooooove! No food here but they don't mind if you bring something.

I encountered some car trouble (read: a large piece of metal encountered my car), rendering it non-drivable today. I pulled over off of highway 290 where I was en route from Austin to Houston to assess the damage & was working on coordinating towing, Uber, etc and was pretty frazzled. A lovely young lady pulled up and asked if I needed help, if I had towing arranged, etc - she let me know that Kooper Family Whiskey was her family establishment and after we chatted for a moment and I told her I had things in the works, she offered to let me use their Wi-Fi, their AC (it was 105° outside!), to grab a coke, and stay as long as I needed until I had help arrive. That type of kindness from someone you don't even know goes a very long way. Now, I ended up stuck on the phone in my car with OnStar for the next half hour, but Tiffany, if you ever read this, thank you so much for your kindness today. We will be making special trip to Ledbetter to say hello in the very near future!

Great whiskey, great environment, amazing family. If you can take the time to go check this place out it will be worth your time.

What a great find we happened to drive by. The owner was behind the bar mixing fantastic cocktails and explaining the different types of bourbon and rye. Nice tasting and the inside was cozy, elegant, and a really cool place to hang out. Nice place to meet new people and just enjoy the atmosphere.

Great service and great tasting whiskey. We actually bought a bottle for a Christmas gift. The ambiance was well thought out.

March 25 my sister and I were out on a little journey just traveling through seeing with the where my nieces have went to college just traveling the country Road. Ran across the billboard that said Kooper Family Whiskey. Next thing you know we were there. It's a small but cozy place we you can kick back and enjoy Flight tasting or a cocktail or two. The service was outstanding and their description of each offering to be taste was on point. Will be heading back this Friday to pick up my reserve bottle of the Cooper. Family barrel reserve rye. Can't wait to add it to my collection. PapaJo Rosenberg Texas come down and sit a spell.

What?? A great little distillery en route to Austin from Cypress? Yes Please! I stopped in here for a tester of 3 and was delighted with this space and the whiskey. One of the owner's served and she was very welcoming and in the know. I will definitely return to this great place in Ledbetter.

This is one of my favorite Texas whiskies but we finally had the opportunity to visit their distillery in Ledbetter and were left more in love with the whole company. Aside from buying several limited edition bottles that we could only get there, we had the honor of enjoying a flight and old fashioned while chatting with Michelle about the company. While we sat at the bar, we had the opportunity to watch regulars and newcomers enjoy the purposeful atmosphere and great drinks. We'll absolutely be back and hope to keep supporting and watching this brand as it grows.

We stopped by during the Yarn Crawl and we were glad we did. I am not usually a boubon drinker but I like to try new drinks. The Smoked Old Fashion was sooo good. Take a bite of chocolate and then a sip! You'll love it.

Stopped in based on a sign we saw on the highway and were so impressed. Amazing tasting flights & delicious cocktails. I loved the blackeyed rye. Tiffany was our bartender and was lovely!

This place was AWESOME. The flavors for their whiskeys were distinct and absolutely delicious. I had a bourbon flight of three different kind, and then when the owner found out I had never had rye whiskey, she gave me a couple tastes of different ryes she made. I ended up buying a bottle of both my favorite from the flight as well as it's rye counterpart. So good! Also, it's super cute inside with barrels and little clusters of intimate seating. Will absolutely be back!

This place is absolutely amazing! I love the Michelle and Ashlynn! The whiskey is incredible! Even though I can't get enough of the Kooper Family Rye or the single Barrel.... I love the people who run it. They greet me by name and I truly know how to build relationships around a product that bring people together. I love the whisky... but the service and heart behind it is what immediately sold me on Kooper Family Whiskey! Love you guys! -David and Dana

We were on our way home from the antique shows in Round Top, stopped in this place cause we didn't know what it was (we were really wanting food) and we were told it's a like a small whiskey boutique. Ok that's fine so we sat to rest and have a drink but the rude ass young lady said that we were already drunk and had been drinking.... FIRST OF ALL I hadn't had a drink all day, my elderly and handicapped mother hadn't had anything but water and my veteran boyfriend only had 1 drink earlier at one of the shows. SO FOR THIS B***H to tell me and mom we couldn't be served because we been drinking to much today and my bf he could only have a tiny tiny little sip was extremely insulting and rude. That b***h doesn't know what drunk is obviously nor can she tell if anyone's been drinking. We felt very discriminated against and we do t know what her problem was To bad she judged the book by the cover.

Just stopped by the Kooper Family Whiskey Tasting Room. I can't say enough good things about this place. Tiffany made us feel welcomed as soon as we walked in. The room is a little dark but perfectly sets the ambience for what's coming. After a perfectly made whiskey sour and tasting a couple of the great whiskeys we walked away with two bottles of whiskey that we can't wait to share with friends and family. Definitely will be back!

We had a great time doing a tasting with Michelle at Kooper's. The bourbons they have are delicious. We shared a flight, then got a smoked Old Fashioned. Great quality and great experience! Stop in if you're in the area!

This place is AMAZING! It's one of those hidden treasures in Ledbetter - Kooper Family Whiskey has a tasting room now and the vibe is as phenomenal as the flight of whiskey! The owners are just as special!!!! You will be blown away by walking through the front door! You're going to want to stay awhile for sure! Please stop by and meet this young family that is driven by passion, traditions and family! It has inspired them to become entrepreneurs and share their love for whiskey!

We walked in on our way back from Round Top. We stood around for awhile and didn't get greeted or knew what kind of service we could get. My husband loves whiskey, wish we could have had better service.

This place is so cool it almost makes you wonder what it's doing so far from Austin or Houston. The interior is inviting, with dark tones and stacks of whiskey barrels. The bar is stocked with their locally produced whiskey and rye. And, the owners are on site and engage with customers. Worth stopping in for a tasting, or to pick up a bottle or two!
