Garden Grove’s Sushi Standouts: Where to Find the Best Rolls, Omakase, and Japanese Flavors
Kopan Sushi & Ramen

Google
Kopan has always been popular in LA, and I’m so glad to find the Garden Grove location is just as amazing—maybe even better! The place has a cozy dark-wood interior and a chill vibe, perfect for date nights or small gatherings. The service was also super attentive. Here’s what we tried and loved: 1. Uni Scallop – Fresh scallop topped with uni and caviar, incredibly sweet and ocean-fresh. 2. Kara Miso Ramen – Rich, slightly spicy miso broth with tender chashu and perfectly chewy noodles. 3. Truffle Salmon Carpaccio – Thinly sliced salmon with truffle oil, aromatic and buttery without being greasy. 4. Unagi Donburi – Served hot with perfectly grilled eel and a well-balanced sweet-savory sauce. 5. Dragon Roll – Eel and avocado combo that’s flavorful and satisfying. 6. Torikawa Gyoza – Crispy chicken-skin dumplings, crunchy outside and juicy inside—so good with their dipping sauce. Everything was on point, but the Uni Scallop and Truffle Salmon Carpaccio really stood out. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for a relaxed dinner or a date night.

We visited Kopan Sushi & Ramen in Garden Grove and it truly feels like a hidden gem. The interior has a cozy Japanese vibe with unique decor, and if you sit at the sushi bar you can even watch the chefs prepare everything fresh, almost like a mini omakase. We tried the Ginza Sushi Set, which was beautifully presented with each piece having a different topping and flavor. The Tuna on Crunchy Spinach was another standout — smoky tuna paired with crispy spinach for a great balance. The oysters were very fresh with no metallic taste, complemented by a tangy sauce. We also had the Uni Bluefin Toro and the Mango Salmon Roll, both enjoyable, especially the refreshing combination of salmon and mango. The restaurant offers a nice selection of sake, with half-off refills after the first order, and there’s also a promotion on sushi rolls (buy one, get the second half off). On average, you can expect to spend about $50 per person if you include ramen or donburi, but if you mainly order sushi and sashimi like we did, it may be closer to $70. Overall, great food, fresh ingredients, and a lively late-night spot open until 11 pm on weekends.

We came here after a long day at Disneyland — three girls, starving and looking for somewhere cozy to eat and chat 🍺. We first tried to get into OC Lau, but the line was insane, so we walked next door and found this Japanese izakaya with great ratings. So glad we did! The place has a relaxed vibe, super friendly service, and a full photo menu (love that!). Every dish came out beautifully plated — and, honestly, everything tasted as good as it looked. ⸻ 🍣 Negitoro Donburi Absolutely loved this one. The rice bowl came topped with three pieces of fresh uni, paired with bluefin tuna belly and scallions. The fish and uni were sweet, rich, and super fresh, balanced by crispy seaweed. Every bite melted in my mouth — a must-try! 🐚 Uni Scallop / Uni Toro If you’re a uni lover, this is heaven. The scallop + uni combo was my personal favorite — thick, buttery scallop with the creamy sweetness of uni. One of my friends had the uni + toro version and said the fatty tuna was amazing too. 🔥 Seared Sushi Bomb A fun “five-flavor” sushi plate — salmon, tuna, snapper, halibut, and yellowtail. I love seared sushi in general, and this one was perfection. Each piece had a different sauce pairing that worked so well with the fish. 🍄 King Mushroom Steak / Sodduk (Sweet & Spicy Rice Cake Skewers) The mushroom steak was unexpectedly good — juicy, smoky, and full of umami. I’m not a big fan of rice cakes, but if you are, the sweet & spicy sausage-rice cake skewers are worth trying too. 🍋 Lemon Highball You can’t go to an izakaya and not order a drink! This Lemon Highball was one of the best I’ve had — super lemony, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink. (Half a glass in and I was already turning red 😆) ⸻ The food looked exactly like the photos, which is rare these days. The three of us ended up chatting and eating for almost three hours, just enjoying the food and the vibe. Highly recommend for a girls’ night, casual date, or post-Disney dinner. Great food, good drinks, no rush — just good times 🩵

I’m guessing the name Kopan comes from a mix of Ko (Korean) + Pan (Japanese) . Tried their $18.95 Lunch Special. Ramen itself was okay, broth was nice, but the tonkatsu was a bit tough. Surprisingly, the spicy tuna roll and Mushroom steak were the best part. Cute waitress with the sweetest voice totally made my day. Cozy vibe, but for this price, I’d rather grab ramen at Gomen in Stanton which has better flavor and only $7.99 for lunch special! 📍 Kopan Sushi & Ramen 10031 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92844

Google
I RARELY give 5 stars let alone in all 3 categories but this place absolutely deserves it... from the O Toro on the menu to the care and precision of their sushi craft... this place exceeds in all areas. The service is always far above average... everyone is happy, pleasant, and tentative. The atmosphere is almost a role play of old Kyoto. There is lots of wood, lanterns, etc. It almost feels like youre transported to Japan. The food has been among the highest quality the past 7 visits. The ramen is consistently delvious, rich broth, the chashu is top top perfectly prepared. I cannot say enough good things about this location of Kopan. Its truly above all others

Google
Kopan Sushi is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and modern, with a clean, minimalist aesthetic that lets the food shine. The sushi is incredibly fresh! every bite melts in your mouth. I highly recommend their Omakase selection if you’re looking to be impressed. Service is attentive and friendly, and the chefs clearly take pride in their craft. Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or just diving into Japanese cuisine, Kopan delivers quality and creativity with every plate. It’s easily become one of my go-to sushi spots!

Google
I recently dined at Kopan Sushi in Garden Grove and the food and quality of fish was outstanding. My wife and I love eating sushi and we’ve been to quite a few spots in OC. This spot was definitely one of the better ones we’ve been to. You know it’s good when the sushi counter is right up front and the sushi chef greets you immediately upon entering. We had a great meal one here and would definitely come back!

Google
Stopped by Kopan Sushi & Ramen after visiting the Crystal Cathedral — it was so hot, I went for the Yuzu Miso Black Snapper Crudo and Japanese cold noodles, super refreshing. I always get sweet shrimp and uni sushi, and this time tried the chef’s recommendation, the Ginza sushi platter — fresh and looks great. The Unagi Donburi (eel rice bowl) was amazing too, tender eel with avocado and fish roe, really tasty. They also have a deal where the second sushi roll is half off, which is pretty awesome. The place is open late on weekends, perfect for a chill late-night bite. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
The service here is exceptional -- the kind of place where the staff remember your face and your favorite drink. I first came here with a friend "just to try it," but now it's our regular Friday spot. The sushi rolls are artfully made; the dragon roll and spicy tuna roll are both must-haves. The rice-to-fish ratio is perfect, and you can tell everything is freshly prepared. I once mentioned casually that I like my green tea a bit stronger -- and every visit since, they've remembered. The chefs also explain what's in season and recommend pairings, which makes the meal feel like a curated experience. Prices are fair for the quality, and portions are generous. If you're someone who values attention to detail and genuine hospitality, this is the place to be.

Yelp
Solid sushi and ramen spot in Garden Grove. The decor is so cozy here (the extra room in the back is perfect for intimate conversations) and service was also good. They have a variety of dishes like udon hotpot (which I really enjoyed the flavor of), sashimi, and sushi rolls. There's even an exclusive Garden Grove menu too! Open late until 11pm on Friday & Saturday which is always a plus, will definitely be coming back for a hangout (and trying the Highball!)

Yelp
First time here and this was the worst ramen place I have ever stepped foot in. Do I start with the blandest ramen broth I've ever tasted or the worst service I've ever had? Even the noodles were gross. We were not checked on once. They hardly even looked our way. Not one employee smiled. Honestly never again. Absolutely don't recommend :/

Yelp
Amazing, friendly and attentive customer service! Thank you for a great experience. Rolls were delicious and fresh. Tuna tasted so fresh and tender. Will be returning to try more rolls as all of the ones we had were great! Restaurant is decorated so cute in the inside.

Yelp
After a long day at the Disney parks we were craving sushi. Our party was 6 people and at 8pm we were seated quickly. The two servers were kept busy as the restaurant was full, but food came out quickly and was tasty. My favorite was the Red Roll, it reminded me of my favorite roll from a small shop in Fountain Valley. California roll inside, ahi on top, and smothered with garlic chips sauteed in butter. The lemon high balls were also delicious. This shop is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Quiet little Japanese restaurant in the heart of Garden Grove. Service was amazing once I stepped into the restaurant. My server, Drake, was very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I tried a few recommended items and it was delicious. I normally don't eat mushroom but the King Oyster steak was pretty damn good! Definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Loved my experience! The waitress was very nice and the restaurant has a really nice vibe to it. I like how dim the lights are and the chill music! The food was great too, very filling !

Yelp
My gf and I stopped by here around 8pm on a Thursday night. It was busy but we were seated quickly. They had happy hour but their happy menu changed I think? Because it was limited to certain items vs the previous "half off." We got a few things to share and try: Jessica albacore- spicy and yummy! Tonkatsu ramen- tried it with chicken instead of pork. Pretty good! We got mild and chili on the side so it wasn't spicy, just a little kick. Crispy rice with spicy tuna- pretty good! And the amount of tuna and rice was perfect!

Yelp
Every time I come to Garden Grove, I usually end up eating Vietnamese food. But actually, the Korean and Japanese food here is also really good . This time I went to the long-standing spot Kopan Ramen & Izakaya, and it was truly impressive! Their focus is ramen and izakaya dishes. And indeed, both menus turned out to be top-notch. Ramen: We ordered a very unique pork katsu ramen. The first bite of the katsu was such a pleasant surprise! Crispy, flavorful, and tender inside--I couldn't believe this was just a ramen topping . The tonkotsu ramen itself was also excellent. The noodles are thin, like Shinsengumi-style ramen, with a rich broth. If you like thin noodles with a bold, flavorful soup, you'll definitely enjoy this. Izakaya menu: Although I don't drink, I really love creative izakaya-style small plates. This time we tried stuffed avocado and stuffed green peppers--both were amazing! The peppers were lightly fried, giving a tempura-like crunch, with creamy cream cheese inside: crispy yet creamy. Highly recommend! We also ordered a toburi bowl for its gorgeous presentation: tuna + uni + fresh wasabi over rice. Beautiful and delicious. All rolls are buy 1 get 1 at 50% off, and the portions are huge--each one can count as a full meal. The flavor is the typical "loaded rolls" style: lots of ingredients stacked together. Pretty good, but if you don't eat much, maybe skip this. Sashimi was just average--you can pass on it. Summary: The ramen and izakaya dishes are excellent --flavorful and even surprising! Rolls and sushi are decent but nothing special; I'd recommend saving your budget for the first two categories. At lunch they also have a ramen + izakaya side dish special, and you can add a small dish (normally $11) for just $5--such a great deal!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night and there was no wait at all. When you step in, you feel like you're transported to Japan. The decor and ambiance of this restaurant was amazing! I ordered the Kara miso ramen, crunchy roll and the king salmon roll. The sushi was all so good and fresh, I highly recommend ordering some when you are here. My fiance ordered the ribeye sukiyaki and he loved it. He enjoyed how clean and sweet the broth was and it came with a lot of veggies, mushroom, and meat. They also have happy hour everyday from 8pm-close. Big big shoutout to our server, Kenny! He was the nicest and most attentive server I've ever had. He was seriously amazing. He let our group know that happy hour was starting soon and that he'd honor the happy hour price for some of the foods we ordered. Thank you for being an amazing server!

Yelp
Kopan was amazing!! My partner and I went to this sushi resturant during our 2 year aniversary! we had the mango lover roll , takoyaki , catepillar roll and jalapeno roll. Everything was amazing and the server was probably the best it could of been during the weekday! There was training going on mid shift but overall the guy helping out the new guy was such a good server! Ambiance was great

Yelp
Parking: small plaza, plenty of parking Service: 5/5! Servers were very attentive and frequently checked in on us. Great experience there Atmosphere: 5/5 Unique decor around the restaurant. Good place to eat/catch up with friends! Food: 4/5 - I can only review on behalf of takoyaki & tonkotsu ramen. Takoyaki was hot and lightly crispy, big pieces of octopus inside too which was great. No complaints there! :) Tonkotsu ramen was decent, wish they used thicker noodles. Also was expecting a richer flavor but it was still good nonetheless! Overall, would come back to try again. I like the restaurant's decor, it makes for a good place to have dinner and catch up w friends

Yelp
I haven't been to this place in years so finally came here after being indecisive about wanting ramen or sushi, but here you can get the best of both worlds! 'Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna': good appetizer to start with, had a nice little kick, and the rice stayed crispy/didn't get soggy quick. Can't go wrong with this! 'Tonkotsu Ramen': comes with pork chasu slices, egg, and corn. The broth was on the lighter side for a tonkotsu ramen, I usually prefer something richer and thicker, but it was still good! And they use thin ramen here. 'Kara Miso Ramen': I felt like this broth was more flavorful, and it had just the right amount of spice to it as well. Went during dinner and I overall liked the ambiance of this place and the dark setting. The wait for the food wasn't too bad and the service was good here too.

Kami N.

Yelp
Service is the best; no other words needed. I am here to talk about the chicken curry katsu, because I have been thinking about it every single second after my last bite. I miss it. I miss the sizzling pot. I miss the crunchy exterior of the chicken. I miss the warmth of the rice, curry, and chicken katsu harmoniously providing me comfort in the midst of midterms. Amazing dish. The business says sushi and ramen, but do not ignore the curry katsu. (I've never tried the ramen here because I will ALWAYS eat the curry katsu.) Spicy edamame is delicious. Might be too salty for some. Curry katsu is perfect.

Yelp
This is probably the 4th Kopan location I've been to, and I'm always pleasantly surprised at how consistent the culinary execution and freshness of their dishes are! We came during late night happy hour and were able to try quite a bit of their discounted menu, which brought our total bill of 5 dishes + 2 sakes to less than $100 dollars (truly such a steal in this economy)! I personally always order something from their sushi menu, as their fish is consistently some of the FRESHEST that I've had in LA. Their menu also has an extensive selection of curry/rice dishes, soups, and ramen, which is nice if you're not craving raw fish. Service at this location was also very outgoing and friendly, and the interior is very spacious and tastefully decorated like a traditional Japanese izakaya. Highly recommend checking out this little gem for high quality sushi if you're in the Garden Grove area! Featured here: Ribeye sukiyaki Chirashi bento * Jalapeño yellowtail * Crispy rice with spicy tuna * Unagi donburi

Yelp
Koran sushi and ramen instantly became my favorite japanese restaurant last night. Their menu is deep with so many options but everything i ordered was fresh. The sushi was great and the appetizers and ramen was delicious. The waiters were funny and charming, they helped make our experience memorable. The restaurant has a beautiful wooden decor that was eye popping yet simple. Great spot I loved it.

Yelp
Very disappointed with our last visit. Was told by the hostess that they had issues with their internet, no tap to pay was available. Card or cash only, cool. We were seated, waited a good 20mins. Not once did the young ladies came to check on us. Mind you, we weren't seated in the far back of the establishment. We were at next to the cashier. My wife and I come here often. I get that they're having issues. We let the cashier settle the payment issues with the customers. They're busy handling things. But even after that was done, not once they did come check on us. And we're right next to her. Haha. Very disappointed, we just left at that point. This has always been a favorite place of ours. Please work on your custom service.

Yelp
Such a cozy place, Ramens super good, the Sushis amazing. We ordered Kara miso ramen, volcano roll, Bake salmon roll , Okinawa Sashimi, spicy garlic edamame . Everything tasted excellent. Fresh and delicious options and a buy one get one 50% on a big portion of the menu. The price was right. Servers are always friendly and accommodating. Love this place !

Yelp
Got sat very quickly, the restaurant is very dim at night but the interior is decorated very nicely. We got the mayu ramen and miso ramen. The miso ramen was a bit spicy but not overwhelming. The mayu ramen felt like it needed more flavor, maybe more salt. I was a bit sad that the charsiu was cut super thin, I'm use to it being cut thicker in other restaurants. Takoyaki was super good, can't go wrong. Overall, great atmosphere and service, a great date spot!

Yelp
I've always loved their Rowland Heights location, so when I was in the area, I had to check out the new Kopan Sushi & Ramen Bar in Garden Grove! The restaurant is easy to find, located in a plaza right off the main road--just look for the menu sign at the entrance! Stepping inside feels like teleporting to Kyoto! The decor is bursting with Japanese charm: a large glowing moon in the center, playful dolls on the walls, and intricate lanterns, with every detail evoking memories of our family trip to Japan last summer. Couples can opt for a cozy, private booth for a romantic vibe, while those who enjoy watching the action can sit at the sushi bar, where skilled chefs craft fresh sushi right before your eyes--talk about peace of mind! The menu is packed with options, and the drink selection is a real highlight. My husband ordered a refreshing Lemon Highball, which was fantastic! Even better, after your first drink, all subsequent drinks (any kind!) are half-price! With a wide variety of sake and cocktails, this is a dream spot for anyone who loves a good drink. Plus, they're open until 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, a rarity in the area, making it perfect for late-night gatherings with friends. We ordered a sashimi platter and uni scallop(uni, fish roe, and scallops). everything was incredibly fresh, and the uni was delightfully sweet and satisfying! We also took advantage of their buy one, get the second half-price sushi roll deal and got two rolls. The Truffle Hunter Roll was bursting with fragrant black truffle flavor--highly recommend! The other was the rice-free EX Girlfriend Roll, perfect for low-carb diets but still packed with flavor. We left full and happy, with the service being as warm and attentive as ever. * Immersive Japanese atmosphere with impeccable details. * Fresh, high-quality sushi and creative rolls at a great value with the promo deal. * Extensive drink menu, with sake pairing perfectly with sushi and half-price drinks after the first. * Open late until 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, ideal for nightlife. * Perfect for date nights, casual hangouts, or sushi enthusiasts. ‍ Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend visiting Kopan Sushi & Ramen Bar for a delicious and authentic Japanese dining experience!

Yelp
I have visited multiple times a week, and the service is always good. However, today the girl in the red shirt was very awkward, displaying an unwelcome attitude and showing no concern for the customers! Ready for order but no one takes care. Wait time is too long as your shop does not have too many customers. No one asked for help or checked my order, which delayed my work! Terrible experience!

Yelp
Friendly service ! Kind sushi chefs. Also one of the waiters kept checking up on you and really added to the late night happy hour experience. For happy hour, they had certain sushi, appetizers, donburi, and hot pot discounted from their usual price. From the happy hour menu, tried sesame chicken (crispy chicken thigh meat that comes with lemon and sweet / sour sauce), mango salmon special (salmon wrapped around mango and imitation crab with a yuzu sauce), and salmon sushi. Was still hungry after this so tried their buy one get one 50% off promo for their special rolls. Ordered Alaska roll and oyako salmon roll. TBH came here originally just because I was curious about the HH but for the price (total for all of this was $50-60 with tax tip), especially if you're hungry, probably better to get AYCE. Ambiance was relaxed with chill hits playing in the background.

Yelp
Today i ordered baby crawfish roll, baked salmon roll, king crab bite , and crispy rice tuna. I paid for added soy paper for both but they forgot to wrap it with soy paper. The king crab bite was terrible, crispy rice tuna very bad, look like old oil been use to fried the rice.

Yelp
After exhausting most of the food spots in Irvine, I recently stumbled upon this cozy little tavern in Garden Grove -- and wow, it's a game-changer. At this price point, I haven't found another place that matches its plating or food quality. The menu is impressively diverse, the ambiance is warm and intimate, and best of all, they're open until 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. For Irvine folks who constantly struggle to find decent late-night bites, this place is a blessing. Whether you're swinging by after work for a quick, comforting bowl of curry or unagi don, meeting up with friends for some bar bites and drinks, or coming specifically to enjoy the chef's choice sashimi -- this spot has you covered. My personal favorite is the Hotate Crudo: a giant scallop as the base, topped with rich, fatty tuna belly, a perfectly balanced house-made sauce to cut through the richness, and a tiny dollop of caviar to bring out the flavors. It's beautifully composed and seriously addictive. The Salmon Don and Unagi Don are both incredibly hearty. For dishes that are just over ten bucks, the presentation is stunning -- you can really tell the chef puts heart into the plating. Since we had a group, we also ordered the Chef's Choice Sashimi and Sushi. The portions were generous, the fish was fresh, and the chef even came over to introduce each type of fish -- super friendly and passionate. I especially liked the yuzu-seasoned black sea bream, which had a great texture. Don't skip the sweet fruit sake! The pineapple and plum flavors were both refreshing and light -- we're already planning to hunt them down at the supermarket. There's also a daily specials board by the entrance and some solid lunch deals worth checking out.

Yelp
What was ordered: 2x Kuro Mayu Ramen, 1x baked green mussels, 1x chicken karage. My wife and i went around 7:30pm on a thursday night, and were seated promptly. Place was very clean and looked nice inside, really nice ambiance. Right from the start the staff was super friendly and welcoming which in my opinion sets a great tone. I wish i could remember our server's name, but he was so charismatic and friendly it was contagious. A blind person would easily be able to "see" how much he enjoyed just being there, talking to people, and doing what he can to ensure his guests can enjoy their visit with the things he could control. The food was...okay I suppose. The appetizers were honestly great, in fact. The mussels were perfectly baked and CLEANED, which some restaurants fail to do, and tasted great. The karage was nicely fried and tasted amazing, though i wish the order was a bit bigger by like one or 2 more pieces, or perhaps the chicken cut a tad bit smaller to make it easy for a single bite. The ramen however, was just alright. The broth had a great taste, egg was properly cooked, however the noodles were really bland and the chashu as well. I also felt like the chashu was perhaps sliced a bit too thin, just ended up feeling like dry crispy pieces of pork instead of chashu. The best part of the dinner i think was how open to feedback the 2 servers were. The other server stopped by our table a few times to check in while his partner was busy with other groups, and they worked well off of each other. When he asked for feedback about the food and my wife and i were trying to be nice about it, he insisted on our honesty and even expressed to us how he felt about it (respectfully of course) which you'd almost never see any other restaurant do. While some may see it as unprofessional, i instead found it refreshing that they were very self-aware of their problem and proactively seemed to want feedback on how to make things better. While eating i didnt think i'd give it another chance, but honestly after receiving the service i got, i'm genuinely looking forward to the next visit because i think they will make good, honest improvements in the near future. I'll update my review after the next visit, but for now i think this review is fair. Service: 10/5 Food presentation: 4.5/5 Taste: 3.5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5

Yelp
We had a great lunch at Kopan in Garden Grove. We ordered a mix of ramen and sushi. The Tonkotsu Ramen with Chashu was rich and flavorful. Yellowtail Jalapeño had a perfect spicy kick, and the Okinawa Sashimi was super fresh. The Mango Lover Roll was a delicious surprise -- sweet, creamy, and balanced. Takoyaki and Ginza Sushi were also solid.

Yelp
I loooved the negitoro bowl with uni. It was amazing! It is very pricey for such a small portion, though. The bowl is the size of a small rice bowl. Rolls were nothing to write home about, pretty standard. Appetizers were good, like many other sushi restaurants. Service is always friendly here and they seem happy to talk to you :). It feels intimate depending on where you are sitting, it has a nice cozy lighting.

Yelp
Came back to Kopan to try their new menu and i was pleasantly surprise the food is so much better. Service is on point and helpful. Ambiance is clean and we came in right before the dinner time rush.

Yelp
**A Hidden Gem in Garden Grove: The All-Rounder of Japanese Cuisine** Still featuring a full illustrated menu--a lifesaver for the indecisive, so you'll never feel lost when ordering. The traditional *izakaya*-style ambiance, warm golden lighting (perfect for photos!), and tableware like rustic pottery and lacquered bowls add a refined, ceremonial touch to every dish. **Must-Try Dishes** *Negitoro Donburi* & *Unagi Donburi*--two classic rice bowls that never disappoint. *Ginza Sushi*--a chef's selection of 12 *omakase* sushi pieces, showcasing the freshest flavors. *Tuna on Crunchy Spinach*--thick-cut tuna atop crispy fried spinach, drizzled with a secret sauce so good you'll want to lick the plate clean. *Uni Bluefin Toro* (from the Special Menu)--a luxurious bite of sea urchin and fatty tuna. Every dish is artfully plated, embodying that quintessential Japanese *"small yet exquisite"* philosophy.

Yelp
Service was REALLY friendly and the food itself was quite nice. I think this is one of the best ramens I've had in recent times. I also really enjoyed the interior design it's very authentic and intimate!

Yelp
The ex girl friend roll and scallop rolls were delicious. We asked for extra sauce and ginger to go and they loaded it up. The interior ambiance is a nice dark moody vibe and seems like it would be a really fun night time drinking spot. Would return again in the future

Yelp

Yelp
Kopan is one of the closest spots to where I live and it has always hit the spot. Their black ramen is decadent, rich in flavor, and well balanced. The portions are great, the noodles are chewy and textured, and the service is good! I have nothing to complain about this joint and it's been a staple in Little Seoul for years now.

Yelp
Kopan Ramen has always been my favorite Ramen place! The ramen is so flavorful especially when you add their hot sauce for extra spice! I usually eat at the restaurant but decided to order take out instead. The restaurant is always clean and the waiters attend you immediately! The chicken cutlet ramen is always the way to go!

Yelp
Delicious sushi in a cute setting! Our server Kenny was great and attentive. We came here towards the end of the night and did not feel rushed whatsoever. We got the negitoro donburi with uni and scallop crudo, along with a blue crab roll and various pieces of nigiri- sweet shrimp, salmon, hamachi belly, and scallops. So freakingggg goood. Will be frequenting this location from now on! It's so close by!

Yelp
Be very careful with this restaurant, most especially with online ordering --the staff, especially the manager, is all after the sale and are very unsympathetic and unhelpful to their customers. I ordered 2 bowls of ramen on their website and the site directed me to several online delivery apps for processing. Since I have a Door Dash account, I opted to order through it. I was very surprised when I arrived at the restaurant and saw two sets of my order. Door Dash had a system glitch and processed two orders - and for some reason, charged two credit cards. What made the matter worse was that the erroneous order was charged on our Revenue Director's credit card whom I hardly know, and who is based in our Chicago office. We used her card when our office had a food delivery for lunch some weeks ago. With that, my top priority was to process the refund right away. This restaurant manager (who refused to give his name) refused to help - gave me all sorts of ridiculous reasons as to why he cannot process the refund. "You can try calling Door Dash but we cannot guarantee." I wanted their assurance that if I do walk away without the food, and cannot get a refund from Door Dash, they will at least give me a restaurant credit for what I paid for, because I know that eventually, they will get paid by Door Dash. This (silly) manager said they only prepare the food, the money never goes to them. I argued that it does not matter where the money is - since I paid for the food, I should at least be able to use it in the future. When he realized, after 20 long minutes of talking to him, that I would not go away, he finally took his phone and called Door Dash. He had the number all along! And he knew the exact process on how to get a refund! I realized he stalled me because he thought I would relent and just take the order. (I would have done so if it was charged on my card. The order was on my Director's card and I have to process the refund ASAP and at the same time get an assurance that if I leave there without the food, and end up not getting refunded, I would still get a restaurant credit. But this restaurant did everything they could to keep their sale and not help at all, I reached the point where it was all about the principle and not even about the money anymore) Door Dash processed the refund in less than 3 minutes (three minutes!) but since the restaurant was the caller, they could only email the refund confirmation to them. I lost it when the manager refused to forward the email confirmation to me. I was polite all throughout this craziness, but I lost it when he said "I make impossible requests." A restaurant credit and an email, apparently, are impossible requests for them. I left the place very upset (and very hungry : ) The ramen wasn't even that good -- I certainly can get something like it somewhere else hassle-free. Be careful with your transactions with this company, most especially online orders.

Yelp
This is a cute little spot in the corner of the plaza. The rolls are beautiful and different. I liked the refreshing rolls. The tonkotsu ramen was beautiful as well but lacked flavor. I don't know how the other ramen bowls would compare, but I would stick with the rolls!
