Korea Taqueria - Fishtown

The people here rock and the food is mighty tasty but good lord the salsa macha! Makes everything taste heavenly. I had leftovers and put it on top of pierogies with sour cream the next day and it made that insanely good too. If I could swim in a pool of that sauce I would.

Amazing food, and top-notch service. The beef bulgogi burrito is far and away the best burrito I have ever eaten. The birria tacos were also the best tacos I've ever had! Both came with a yummy sauce, not even sure what it was, but it was incredible. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I will be back very soon!

Their food truck was out of their 'Korean Bulgogi Beef Cheesesteak'; luckily, this brick and mortar store was only a 5 minute way away! Glad we did -- wonderful staff, and great-tasting, reasonably priced food! I did have my Korean Bulgogi Beef Cheesesteak, and strongly recommend it -- it is large, you might want to share if you're not very hungry.

I ordered the birria shrimp and bulgogi cheese steak with kimchi cheese fries. It was all to perfection excellent wonderful!! I will be going for more!! They have some kind of wing Wednesday special which I’ll be getting next. It’s a must try place!

I ordered take out and the food gets done pretty quickly. There was a good amount of parking once I arrived and the food was piping hot when I drove home. I ordered the Korean Birria Tacos and they were filled!! The actual birria soup paired well with the tacos and overall it was flavorful and delicious and I couldn't even finish them given the size of these. Overall would come again :)

Very mediocre. We came opening weekend so maybe they were too busy, but our food was cold & very underwhelming. The horchata was terrible. It tasted like tap water, with sugar & a dash of cinnamon, we bought 2 of them since we love horchata but just threw them out. We also ordered churros & didn’t get them. Wouldn’t mind trying again maybe.

The food was absolutely fantastic!! The beef and shrimp birria tacos were great, no skimping on the meat. The consome was super tasty, not salty, and well seasoned. The salsa verde wasn't super spicy, but very fresh. The garlic soy wings we're really good and the salsa macha had great heat and flavor. The cucumber lime agua frescas we're fresh and not super sweet, which I really appreciated. The churros were very good and the caramel sauce was amazing. We got everything delivered and really appreciated that everything was well packaged. No pics because we of course inhaled everything immediately.

While I do think their Meal for 1 is a good deal, I found it to be practically inedible. It comes with a drink- which was a watery horchata. 2 Tacos, Wings, and I chose a side of chips and guac. I found everything to be bland or watery, including the salsas, the consommé, the guac, and the horchata. The wings were soggy and the I peeled the breading off. I did find that the Korean part of the fusion seemed to be making the taco meat sweeter, but it was off putting with no taste in the consommé. I didn’t enjoy the meal enough to finish it.

Very very happy that Korea Taqueria has hit the ground running in our neighborhood. I've ordered twice, the Korean style tacos with chicken (cucumber kimchi slaw and cilantro). Once I ate in the place - it's small and really only good for eating in if you don't have any other choice - but they're really nice either way. Takeout was solid, too. What I love about the Korean style tacos with chicken is that somehow I'm full and satisfied, but at the same time I'm not overfull and sleepy. I actually don't know how they did this - good proportion of fresh vegetables? Maybe they didn't use too much oil? Either way, I'm thrilled, and so thankful they opened up in our neighborhood.

I canNOT get enough of their shrimp birria tacos. The shrimp are big, fresh and delicious!!!! I've also gotten their regular birria tacos and they are good too but the shrimp are outstanding imo. They have wing nights on Wednesday. I thought the wings were ok. And they have taco Tuesday's w 3 off tacos. I will also say that the amount of food you get is a lot! I can't always finish my order. Also their aqua Fresca is not to be missed!!! Keep in mind- no inside seating.

Ordered take out from here on a Sunday around lunch time. It was easy to order online from Toast. It was ready in about 20 minutes. I was actually really impressed with this meal. They had a lot of options for vegans and vegetarians which I really appreciate. I ordered the tofu tacos and a watermelon aqua fresca. My husband had some of the eggplant tacos. The tofu korean style tacos were so delicious - the pineapple made them a hybrid of sweet and savory. Very fresh, very filling, just wow. We got the mexican style eggplant tacos and while they weren't as big as the tofu tacos, they were equally delicious - don't let the gochujang scare you, they were not that spicy.. I like that they give you ample sauce. I tried the cilantro lime mayo and salsa verde. Both were excellent - but I think I liked the salsa verde more. This place is a little expensive and that is my only complaint. 3 tacos was $14.25 - they were very delicious though. Just as a fun detail, the packaging is also really cute, great for my junk journal lol. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Came back on Wednesday to give it another try. Happened to be wing night as well. Ordered a lot: gochujang wings, Korean fried chicken sandwich w/fries & horchata, chips/salsa & their birria beef tacos. Delicious. Wings were perfectly fried and not too spicy. Sandwich was good, I prefer a crunchier chicken and would take regular pickles over the cucumbers but still very good. The tacos were great but the real star is their consommé - best in the area. Horchata is one of the best I've had as well. Chips/fries were both seasoned nicely. The only hiccup was the long wait time and I arrived early for the assigned pick up time but the staff were extremely nice and gave me an accurate wait time when I arrived. Shout out to Chef Ed who was extremely friendly and to the entire staff. Owner reached out as well. Will be coming back. Appreciate a business that cares about good customer service. Did not make the mistake of ordering through Grubhub and ordered off website.

The sampler for one was awesome! Great taste and super filling. I went with the beef birria tacos with consome and salsa verde, spicy garlic soy wings and the fries with cajun seasoning. Almost forgot, can't forget the bev, a refreshing watermelon agua fresca. I suggest order ahead via online, always a line. Which is a good thing. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. Worth every penny. It was chill for sure. They mainly cater to pick up orders.

New spot in Fishtown! Tried their cauliflower burrito and my fiancé got the Al pastor taco. We ordered online and picked up within 15 min. The food was very tasty. Love the amount of vegetarian options #thankyou! Also appreciate they have the classic style of Mexican food and the option to do the Korean fusion. They do have limited seating inside but I would consider this place more of a pickup and go. Excited to try their other options!

I've been waiting for this place to open ever since they put up the sign on the front of the building. It was well worth the wait. I ordered the shrimp birria tacos with horchata. The tacos were $19, which seemed a bit steep, but I had to try them. Worth every penny. It came with a birria consomé and salsa verde. The flavors and textures were excellent. It was also plenty of food. After inhaling these tacos, I washed it down with the horchata, which was also lovely. This restaurant is a welcome addition to the East Kensington community!

Service was amazing and food was PHENOMENAL! We're new to town and we're curious to see such a cool mix of culture/food concept. The people taking our order were super kind and offered suggestions to us small town folks who just moved into the city. We were blown away at how delicious the food was. We both got two different kind of burritos and they were super big too so we tried to self control ourselves, but it was so good we finished them both. We will def be coming to this place for more and bring our friends who come visit from out of state.
