Korean Kitchen Tofu & Galbi

I’d like to start off that I’m from South Korea, and this place is a gem and such a rare find for legit Korean food in south San Diego County. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’ve been on a diet lately, so I came here for some protein the grilled chicken and steamed egg were both delicious and filling. My friend and I each ordered a steamed egg, and the portions were huge. We also ordered additional dumplings! It is a taste I truly couldn’t forget and dumplings were honestly amazing. Plus, there’s a Starbucks right next door, perfect for coffee after your meal.

Ramen was GREAT! Super flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles definitely one of the better ramen bowls I’ve had in a while. I ordered the “seafood ramen,” and while it tasted good, I was a little disappointed that it only came with shrimp (and head-on shrimp at that 😅) for $21. I was hoping for a mix of seafood like mussels or squid. One thing I really appreciated, their to-go containers are smart! They keep the noodles separate from the broth so everything stays fresh and doesn’t get soggy. Overall, really tasty food and I’d definitely come back to try another dish!

So glad we found this place, so far is the best Korean place we've ever tried. Food it's so flavorful and tasty. The portion of everything it's great. We ordered the fried chicken sweet and spicy ( note its for at least 2 people).

We went inside and immediately felt comfy. The place looks clean, neat and well taken care of. Our server came to our table and helped us. He was very polite. The food was AMAZING! It tasted super fresh! We ordered the spicy Bolbogi, the chicken karagee and the #2 bent box (short ribs were fireee) happy with every meal.

Plays current meta Korean pop which is cool. Vibe setting is very low key for the time I went so it was chill. Food was good but I think it'd be best if a different stone Bowl was used rather than a ceramic coated bowl. After receiving my food, it was sizzling for at most 5 minutes but afterwards it felt like nothing was crunchy which is the most exciting part of a stone Bowl. Nonetheless the experience was good and everything tasted fine! Would come here again.

I went for lunch with my family. Staff were super friendly, vibe was good and food was amazing! We ordered 5 dishes. Everything was really really flavorful. Loved that spicy pork was actually spicy! Portions were very generous. Definitely coming back for dinner. Would be perfect for a night out with friends! highly recommend!

Best banchan with so much variety I definitely recommend their garlic pork belly and tteokbokki the regular and the rosé version. They also have a good variety of soju. Waitstaff is very attentive as well.

Best duk boki I've had in San Diego so far! Quick service only complaint, is I had to keep flagging down our server but was not a big deal

The service and food were exceptional, with quick delivery and friendly staff. They are good with both small and big parties. The beef ribs they sell are phenomenal and is a must have item. Overall very satisfied!

Another extended family day craving Korean! And this place did not disappoint. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm and our large party of 12 was able to get seated right away. Customer service was great and the servers were kind, patient and helpful. We ordered various items like the bibimbap, tofu stew, and bento boxes with galbi and bulgogi. All the items came out in a timely manner and each dish was absolutely delicious. And the banchan was perfect! Totally complemented the meal. All the flavors meshed well. This place is a great find and we'll be back!

If you're craving Korean food and not trying to drive all the way to Convoy, this place will satisfy your crave! Very sweet staff as well. Their combo special is a really good deal and they actually have delicious banchans. Will definitely be coming back!

First time coming here; met up with some family members for dinner. Located in the Telegraph Canyon shopping center off the 805-S. The staff are nice and friendly! The restaurant is cute and themed. The food was delicious and good portions, our party enjoyed everything!

Perfect rainy day for soup! We ordered the #7 Budae hotpot to share with my family and it was a perfect amount. It was a lot honestly and got to take the rest home! Also got the eggroll and chicken karage, everything was yummy! Will be back to try another soup! And the server was super sweet to us as well:)

1st time here was contemplating going to convoy but decided to look up one closer to home that had the tofu soup. We were so glad we came across this restaurant and all the food was great! our server Evy was great and took our order quickly. Tofu soup was really boiling hot just how I like it and Galbi was very yummy too!

Being Korean, I was excited to find a Korean restaurant in the South Bay, however this restaurant was a bit disappointing. The food was edible but not as authentic or tasty as I hoped. It didn't taste homemade and more market produced. The food was overpriced especially for the area. $11 for egg rolls and $45 for a hotpot that was mostly broth. When I think of hotpot, I'm expecting the pot to be filled with goodies but theirs barely fed 2 people. Although the servers were nice, they were busy and customer service was lacking. It was hard to flag someone down for more water, more side dishes, or get the check. For a $70 average at best meal, I'm not sure if I'd return.

I come here every time I'm in town. Multiple times per visit lol. The food is fresh and authentic. The ahjoma's in the kitchen making homemade tasting dishes! The service is great and attentive without being overwhelming. And the ambiance is cute with traditionally decorated booths that are just private enough.

Nice atmosphere and the food is great. If you like Korean food you'll love this place!

Adrienne was such a genuine and kind waitress. She was funny and very real, even gave us some tips and a menu tour. The unlimited sides are so yummy, the galbi meat was aromatic and full of onions. The ambiance was nice, very clean and cozy.

My hubby and I came here on a Friday evening and were seated in less than 10 minutes. Our server was quick to take our order and shortly afterwards, our side dishes came. I ordered the bulgogi tofu soup, my hubby ordered the beef tofu soup, and together we shared the rose tteokbokki and chicken wings. I liked how we were able to order plain tofu soup and have the spicy paste on the side so we could customize the level of spice to our liking. Also we ordered the plain chicken wings and had the Korean sauce on the side, although we were surprised by the $1.00 charge for the sauce on the side. The ambiance also reminds me of restaurants from our trip to Korea, it makes me want to go back to Korea soon!

Quick seating and service. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. If you're in the area, it's worth trying if you're in the mood for Korean food. I am used to usually having Korean bbq, but this is a decent option, and the price point isn't bad at all. The ambiance is relaxing and low key, it's a great way to wind down after work. There were a few parties when I came in with lots of ordered picked up for takeout.

This place is so cute and cozy! The vibe is super homey and welcoming, service is great. The food portions are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. I ordered the dumpling ramen, and my boyfriend got the rose tteokbokki--both were amazing, but that ramen really hit the spot. Also... the THAT TEA. Absolute bomb. I could come back just for that alone! 10/10, I'd totally come here again. Perfect spot for comfort food and a chill atmosphere.

We got the dinner special and it was super filling! For $25 you get an entree + a side. Staff was very attentive and came at the right times. It wasn't too loud or quiet even though we came when it was generally empty. Will be coming back!

While I was told before coming here that the food isn't as good when you get it to-go, I had no choice but to do so since they do not allow dogs inside. The staff was super friendly during my short time picking up. The food was okay. There was flavor to everything, but each dish was just missing a "wow" factor aka something to make it truly special. Sadly one of my favorite foods that I tried was the fish cakes that they provided on the side. Started with the Mandoo (which were really crispy and tasty, but the sauce it came with added nothing to the dish) and the Karaage (too much breading and couldn't taste anything else besides how salty it was). For entrees, I tried the Spicy Pork Bulgogi (honestly, not spicy at all, but the overall flavor was decent enough) and the Galbi (best flavor of any dish of the day. Would definitely get this again). If I come again, I would have to come in person.

Second time here and so far good experience! You get what you pay for, portion wise! The food is very good! Service is good, depending how many workers there are and how busy it is. They play K-pop music and the place is relaxing and chill.

Always a pleasure to dine in this restaurant. My staple dish is always their bulgogi spicy ramen, careful if you order the very spicy (quite the spicy jump!) Friendly service every time, very attentive in refilling the complimentary side dishes. Great place to dine for groups of less than 4 people, and the noise level is never too loud to hold a conversation.

Korean Kitchen is our favorite Korean restaurant south of Convoy. Been coming for years. Decided to try the BUDAE JJIGAE (ARMY STEW) and it did not disappoint! Very flavorful with lots of ingredients. Huge serving that can feed 3-4. Will order again!

when I lived in the area, I would go to Korean kitchen every week. I recently started ordering it through Uber and every time I get it, the food is terrible no flavor. I ordered the tofu soup with seafood. I was given one piece of shrimp two calamari and three muscles. It was the most dissatisfying lunch ever. even the rice was very mushy and not edible. very disappointing for a place that I used to go to every week.

I love this spot! I've been able to try so many different Korean dishes that I can't find elsewhere. And I've loved every single one! Service is kind and they always play fun K-pop!

The food here is really delicious. The soondubu is especially good. The decor of the restaurant is very nice and I love the plant theme. They play Kpop music, and as a Kpop fan, I love it. The server is really nice and explained the menu to us. I would recommend this place to people who love Korean food.

Total disappointment. Kimuchi wasn't even fresh. I ordered tofu soup. It was watery. My hubs ordered a spicy bulgogi bowl. No flavor and very hot. Never again.
