I ordered the pork bone dish, and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was incredibly tender, falling effortlessly off the bone. The seasoning was perfectly infused into the meat, with just the right amount of flavor;mildly spicy, which was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed it so much that I asked for a second bowl of rice, and they kindly provided it for free. Highly recommended! Just there is no picture for menu, spend sometime to google what is it for other dishes

This Korean restaurant has been serving Toronto for 47 years, and you can taste the experience in every bite. Even though I have to drive over an hour to get there, it’s absolutely worth the trip every time. The food is incredibly flavorful, authentic, rich, and always fresh. Jason, the owner, makes the experience even better with his warm personality and top-notch service. It’s rare to find a place that feels like home while delivering restaurant-level quality. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for the best Korean food in the city.

Google
The overall taste of the dishes was enjoyable. However, for those who are not particularly fond of spicy food, the seasoning here may come across as relatively strong compared to other Korean restaurants. It’s worth noting that the payment system sets a minimum recommended tip of 18%. For example, the stone bowl rice, priced at $29.90 before tip, felt somewhat expensive—especially considering the portion of meat and vegetables was noticeably smaller than what is typically offered at similar establishments.

I went here for dinner and drinks on a weekend with a large group after an event. I ordered the hot stone bowl bibimbap and it was delicious. The owner of the restaurant was super friendly and I really enjoyed hearing his family’s story of how they started the restaurant. I loved the interior design and atmosphere. Such great vibes. Already wanting to dine here again!

We visited here for dinner today as an international party (Canada, US, France). All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, as well as the owner himself. He interacts with all the guests and is very active in the restaurant - he is clearly passionate about his work and made our first evening in Toronto very memorable. The design choices in the restaurant are very authentic as well, and the food was delicious. We hope to visit again when we are in the area.

Lovely owner who stopped by all the tables, checking on customers. The waiters were also super friendly and attentive. If you like kimchi, ask for their younger kimchi! Really enjoyed it. I ordered the bulgogi bibimbap and the mandu. Mandu were very good, bibimbap was forgettable. Can definitely see how Korean Village has been around for so long :)

Came here with family. Owner greeted us personally and immediately made us feel at home. Food was delicious and authentically Korean, and tasted even better because of the overwhelming care and hospitality of the owner. Gave the kids complimentary dessert because we were visiting from out of town. It’s a family business that’s been running for 47 years, and it shows— this restaurant knows what it is to the community and is confident in the food it serves. We will be coming back again next time we visit Toronto. Thank you for making our visit to Toronto memorable and delicious!

Getting to meet the owner and experience his incredible hospitality made dining at this this unique gem an unforgettable experience. He is truly inspirational, and speaking with him sparked conversations among our group of friends that are still ongoing. He made us feel like honored guests. The way they treat their customers and the care they put into their food at this family business demonstrates a true passion for their work. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Really homey Korean food. Definitely get their jajangmyeong - delicious. We ended up getting two bowls for a group of five. We also ordered the seafood pancake, pork bone soup, and tteokbokki. The soup and the tteokbokki weren't anything special but the seafood pancake was one of the best I've had, chewy and flavorful. Service was also extremely fast and waitress was attentive. Our group also had a few people visiting from out of town so the owner gave us ice cream on the house. His friendliness and hospitality makes me want to go back.

Yelp
I cannot believe I'm a vegetarian giving a korean place a 5 star review but its worth it! I didnt even have time to take pictures because I was sooo into the food!! -korean vegetarian pancake 10/10!! -dukbokki ( rice cakes without the fish cakes) soooo yummy! The texture and flavour was to die for -black bean noodles: so so so comforting!! Not spicy at all but the black bean flavour is still really great! - the veggie bibimbap was decent , honestly this could have been flavoured better with the tofu but was still pretty decent. I have to give a very special mention to the owner. The customer service is the best I've seen in Toronto, despite it being a busy Friday night. An incredibly humble owner who cares about carrying on his moms legacy while serving his customers in the best way!

Yelp
This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience of my life. Korean Village Restaurant is a disgrace to Korean cuisine and food in general. The dishes are so tasteless and unappetizing, I genuinely can't fathom how anyone could stomach them, let alone enjoy them. To make matters worse, the portions are so pitifully small you'll leave feeling robbed--both of your money and your appetite. This place is an absolute embarrassment to the Toronto food scene, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Simply the worst food I've ever had.

Yelp
Highly recommend for the food and service! I came with my dodgeball crew after a game and the owner knew my friends by name - he was so kind and funny. We ordered gamjatang, fried dumplings, jajangmyun (black bean noodles), and more. They were very generous with the complimentary side dishes and refilled them before we even asked! Everything was high quality and fresh. They also have the option of 2 kimchi - a young one, and one that has been fermented longer. Homey vibe, great for casual dining, or with large groups

Yelp
Was in Ktown craving Korean food and decided to come here based on the reviews. The kimchi jeon was crispy and had a good kimchi flavor throughout. The naengmyeon was okay. It wasn't bad, I just wasn't super impressed. The restaurant is okay. Very simple, large portion sizes. If you want something to satisfy your itch for Korean food, then this is a solid option.

Yelp
Great Korean restaurant. I've been here years ago and really enjoyed their table bbq. I came here recently and had the shrimp bibimbap. Unfortunately I found the rice a bit too sauce and did not have the crispiness you usually get with the stone pots. Great restaurant but stick to the kbbq!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty authentic Korean BBQ restaurant, like their stone grill, the smoke was a lot less compared to the average Korean metal grill. The meat was good, we ordered the pork ribs and bulgulgi, beef bone soup, seafood pancakes. Everything was decent, good service too. Only thing was that it was quite pricey, the meat was barely enough for three but we paid prices more expected for seafood or higher end restaurants.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and I always have a great time. The food is always good and the restaurant is cozy inside. On a recent visit I got the kalbi tang, which was great especially on a cold day. I also tried the bulgogi dinner which was also very good. After we ordered we also got some side dishes. The staff are friendly especially the owner who's a super nice guy.
google avatar

Yelp
This is an authentic restaurant in the heart of Koreatown. I had the Kalbi tang and it was excellent. There were good portions of beef and the broth was great. Their kimchi is good but they don't have a lot of banchan, that's their only shortcoming. Portions and prices are very reasonable. Service is fast and friendly. Enjoy!

Yelp
Generally spacious and cute restaurant. They've got little booths for people to sit in. The servers are kind and attentive. You have to press a button to call them over. You order from a QR menu and it's a pretty small but good menu. I ordered the jajangmyun and it was very good. The noodles were nice and chewy and the sauce was quite nice. My friend who is vegetarian ordered jajangmyun as well but to make a vegetarian version there was an upcharge. She was disappointed with what she got because the sauce she got was mostly just onions. She didn't get some veggies that I got such as potatoes and mushrooms. It seems they make a different sauce for it which explains the upcharge. My boyfriend got the bulgogi dinner which was okay. They forgot the miso soup. The meal was quite expensive. My noodles however were very cheap. I recommend the jajangmyun! Overall, a decent place, the hiccups mentioned in this post were probably due to the fact that so many people had come in for the koreatown street festival.

Yelp
Korean Village Restaurant was one of the highlights of our sibling trip to Toronto! We loved the jajangmyeon and their house kimchi so much that we had to eat there twice in the week we were visiting! Jason (one of the owners) came by our table to see how we were enjoying the food, and shared his family story about the restaurant which we found so endearing. He also let us try his special vegan kimchi which was incredibly delicious! The restaurant staff were kind and we felt very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and bite at Korean Village Restaurant. We know you will too!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were walking in Koreatown on Saturday evening and decided to have dinner around there. We picked this restaurant as we saw a lot of people inside. As soon as we entered, there was a welcome sign to greet customers and a board to write your name and number of people. The staff referred to the board to call customers as the tables opened up. The decor reflected the name of the restaurant- it looked like going back in time to an old neighbohood. The place was packed and the crowd was forming inside and outside. We waited about 30 minutes, then our name was called by the staff. Our waiter was a young man who greeted us and brought water, utensils and side dishes. My boyfriend was so excited since this was his first time trying Korean food! It took a bit of time for us to decide as there was a lot on the menu. After, my boyfriend chose large size Kampungki (deep-fried chicken in sweet and spicy sauce) and ordered a small bowl of rice on the side. I picked Soondubu (soft tofu stew with assorted seafood and mixed vegetables with rice on the side). We enjoyed our meal- my boyfriend said the chicken pieces were yummy- the chicken pieces were crispy and sweet and spicy on the outside and juicy inside. The Soondubu was also good, I liked the spice level and there was good amount of seafood and vegetables with soft tofu). Our server was helpful and friendly, he brought us everything that we asked for (e.g. fork, extra napkins, more water, hot sauce). We had a fun time here for dinner. The menu has a variety of items, so you can't go wrong here! There's something for everyone!

Yelp
I had previously walked past this restaurant so many times and finally went in for dinner today. I am so glad I did. As you walk in, you see photos of all the people of note who have visited for a meal along the wall and it's a very impressive! We were seated quickly and it wasn't busy being a Sunday night, but there were several tables still eating. We were served quickly and the owner even stopped by to make sure we were ordering the right amount of food and being taken care of. Our entrees and banchan arrived quickly and hot so we were eager to dig in. We had the soondubu and ddukbokki (I added the bulgogi and it was so delicious). The portions are hearty and the food has great flavour. You can tell everything is made with fresh, quality ingredients. We'll definitely be back to try more, as all the dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The highlight was most definitely the service. The owner, Jason, takes the time to get to know you, ensures you're enjoying your meal, and shares his love for his mom's cooking and keeping her spirit in everything they do. It was a really incredible dining experience and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
This spot hit the mark on all fronts! The food was tasty and generous in size, the service was kind and fast, and it was clean and and spacious inside. I have been wanting to try jajamyeon for so long, and finally found a place where they make it without pork. It was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back here again to try their other dishes :)

Yelp
Food is always great. Staff were ok, generally they are more attentive than they were our recent visit. love sitting upstairs and watching what is happening on the street

Yelp
A long time staple in the Toronto community, I can't believe I did not visit Korean Village Restaurant until now! I can now see why many celebrities and locals enjoy this spot for humble and delicious Korean favourites! The overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming as soon as you walk inside with your group of friends! Me and my friends were welcomed warmly by the owner and his staff which shows their kindness as a family business. They have a few set items from stews to tabletop cooking for all tastes and preferences. The Seafood Pancake is crispy and has a decent amount of seafood to pair well with the soy and vinegar dipping sauce. The gamjatang has a generous amount of pork bones to broth ratio. The broth is rich and has the right amount of spice to enjoy for every spoonful! Overall, I can't wait for my next visit for the restaurant's food and hospitality!

William K.

Yelp
Perhaps it was because I didn't eat their food inside their restaurant (I ordered via Uber Eats), but I don't think this is one of the best Korean restaurants to eat at in Toronto. I ordered their seafood pancake and tangsuyuk and both food items were not as crispy as other Korean restaurants I've been to for the same food. Again - maybe this is because I ordered online, who knows. The food was still edible though and in the end I was left full and satisfied with my meal. Prices here are also a bit on the higher side. That I also did not understand as Toronto is such a competitive food market - you'd think the prices would be cheaper. Who knows. I'll eat here in person sometime and if the food tastes much better inside the restaurant then maybe I will bump this review up to 5 stars.

Yelp
I come here all the time and usually order their pork bone soup which is very good. I thought I would try something different this time and ordered the kampungi - sweet and spicy fried chicken as it is the #1 rated ordered item, and man after the first bite did I ever regret it. I didn't know wtf I was eating - it was like a cross between a huge tapioca ball and Chinese chicken ball that you'd get from a cheap Chinese buffet. Like the chicken was not crispy at all, but the worst part was that there is no chicken in it. You're basically chewing on this rubbery, doughy ball. Never again will I order this and I do not know how this is the #1 rated ordered item.

Yelp
Went here today for the very first time. I cannot believe this place has been under my nose for the past 3 decades. Loved everything about this place! Service was prompt to seat us and take our order. It was a little laxidazial toward the end, we waited a long while before getting our final check and my friend was attempting to flag the waitress down on several occassions and to no avail. I started with a warm 4 oz cup of, likely, green tea, it tasted like it had been made with toasted rice. Delicious and very soothing to my stomach. The rice cakes were very unlike, the hard, round store bought ones. These ones come rolled up (cylinder in shape), soft, fresh, warm, in a spicy sauce with some interesting fish cake- I tried this and did not enjoy it and a boiled egg. The texture of the rice cake resembles a really thick and big noodle. Except its not as heavy as white flour, its lighter, chewy, interesting and tasty. They brought us complimentary miso soup. I love, love, love, love miso soup. It is always a great starter. For my main, I ordered the stone bowl with spicy shrimp. Absolutely scrumptous. It came out sizzling, gotta love that sound. So many mini shrimps, adequately dispersed. It came with a runny yoke, fried egg on the top with strips of seasweed, sesame seeds, some bean sprouts, and green and red pepper. Extra bean sprouts, kimchi and more fish cake strips were offered on the side, as additional toppings. The best part about the bowl, is the well cooked rice at the very bottom. So incredibly tasty. I would have preferred my fried egg, well done, with a cooked centre. I do not enjoy runny yoke (The oozing of it does not appeal), yet allowed it to seep into my rice and ate it nonetheless. I liked that we were there for a good couple hours, taking our time with our meals and there was no rush. Its easy to continue to pick away at your food when conversation is flowing and time is passing. My friend also enjoyed her dish, the same, a stone bowl, except instead of shrimp, she had pork. Loved the spaciousness. Seriously, so much room! The booths are substantial. You could even get a lil' private room, their tables are wide- there is enough room for everything, their hallways are wide, their stairs to go down to the rest rooms, wide. So much space... I love it. Newer places these days have such condensed seating, barely enough room between your table and the guests next to you. Much less, on your own table for your own apps, mains and drinks. Its unbarebly uncomfortable. Not to mention the loudness it gets in smaller spaces. Sound and noise tend to bounce off the walls, contrary to how many people are seated. Here though, at Korea Village, peace can be sought. Although today, the person next to us was talking so loudly it felt like I had to talk over him just to converse with my friend. It was a tad annoying and I was thankful when they left. They may have felt the same about me. We still managed though. They have pictures of famous people who have been there, side by side with the owner, among them, Nelly Furtado, Jackie Chan and Sandra Oh, so cool they commemorate in that way. And they won in 2021, as NOW magazine's readers' choice for Korean Food. Definitely worth returning.

Adrian G.

Yelp
Firstly, I must say that I have never been compelled to write a Yelp review, but I couldn't resist after my recent experience here. To start, I have frequented Korean Village many times over the years and have largely had great experiences there. I used to stand by the quality and price point of their menu, as well as the portion sizes. That said, after my most recent visit I won't ever be returning to this establishment unfortunately. I'm not sure if the kitchen staff has changed over or if the menu has gone through changes, but I was extremely disappointed with the food quality. We ordered a "large" chicken tang su ($26.99) which was comprised of about 10 small pieces of fried chicken which were made up mostly of fat and batter, and topped with "veggies" which evidently meant two small pieces of raw carrot and three small pieces of raw green pepper. We also ordered a bibimbap ($15.99). The portion of the beef was quite good, but there were essentially no veggies on it and it was quite bland. It saddens me to write this review because I used to love the experience of Korean Village, but I'll be sticking with my other favourite Korean spots on Bloor from now on - restaurants with more appropriate quality, portion sizes, and an overall more affordable price point. Having worked in the service industry for many years, I understand and appreciate a restaurants necessity to change things up, make concessions with menu items, and make adjustments that reflect the economic factors we're all faced with, but $80.00 for 2 beers and 2 dishes with mediocre food quality and portion size left me feeling a bit scammed and I won't be returning.

Yelp
4.25/5 stars - seafood pancake is a must get! so crispy, chewy and a great size to share or have as an entree for yourself. - soondubu is solid and the perfect spice level. it is a bit smaller and there is not a lot of seafood. the seafood is definitely small and not the highest quality, but the flavors are there and it's good for a cold day. - come early because it gets busy but luckily the space is very large. i was a walk-in and was seated immediately but I also came at 6 and by 7 there was a decent line. - great for groups and they have nice booths, tables, and smaller private rooms - banchan is only okay. they only have 4 dishes and one is a salad, which isn't too traditional. - service was alright. it was really hard to get their attention so we were waiting to order and get the bill - they are open every day but Monday - I would definitely return!

Yelp
Family-owned, Korean comfort food Service: The staff all seemed to be extremely friendly, and checked in frequently to make sure everything was okay even though the restaurant was packed! It's a cozy family-run business and the menus are available via QR code (via a browser on your phone), making it all contactless. Water was filled up quite frequently as well. Food: The banchan were simple but tasty, with small plates of bean sprout, kimchi, and fish cake The dolsot bibimbap was well done and the ingredients tasted fresh. You choose the amount of gochujang to add, as it comes in a bottle. It also came with a small miso soup. The pork bone soup was a very generous serving with about 4 or 5 pieces of pork, and the broth was on the milder side and not spicy at all. It was nice and hearty on a cold Winter's day. Atmosphere: The place was jam-packed with families and friends, and the wooden décor transforms you to Asia, with wooden tables and smaller rooms available as well. It was very warm and inviting for parties of all sizes. Overall: A must-visit for Korean food near downtown, and affordable as well. The family-run restaurant is very humble, well worth a trip to Bloor West!

Yelp
Great service and great food. Especially like the seafood pancake! The owner is lovely and always come by around dinner to personally check up on guests. Such a lovely man!

Yelp
I visited for dinner (dine-in) on a Tuesday night and was seated right away. They currently have capacity limits due to COVID restrictions but they hadn't needed to turn anyone away at the time I was there. I ordered the yukgaejang (spicy beef soup with scallions/veg) and mandu (dumplings). The yukgaejang was perfectly spicy (this is not for the spice-averse) and so comforting on a cold Toronto night. I got the mandu fried and they were standard but still good, pork with a nice hint of ginger. The banchan included kimchi, fish cake, and mung bean sprouts. All were good but I loved the kimchi. Banchan are side dishes and included in every meal, you don't have to pay extra for them. The owner was walking around the floor and attending to customers and ensuring everyone was having a good meal. He informed me that they were short staffed and apologized for the extra time it took to get my food, but in all honesty I didn't think I had to wait that long. I appreciated that he continued to walk around and offer free rice, drinks, etc to customers to make up for the delay. He brought over a side of his special kimchi for me to try, too. Even though they were short staffed, you could tell that everyone was working their hardest during COVID restrictions. I felt so welcomed here and the food was delicious. If you visit, keep in mind that they are working under restrictions and doing their best to serve everyone in a timely manner.

Yelp
Inflation.. $15 meal now $20. No use in complaining about COST. But almost no beef on STONE POT BEEF.. Sat on the worst seat possible; ugly fake plant digging in the back of my head. Conversations are loud, hard to tune people out in the space. One time experience.

Yelp
Wonderful dinner experience. When we arrived, there was not a big wait (15min). We wrote my name on the board and waited in line inside the entrance area. Food was great, the only comment is that we received our pancake only after following up on it, and we thought usually this arrives first. We also ordered the stone bowl beef bibimbap and the soon dobu tofu stew. The food came with many of the appetizer kimchi dishes, a good variety and all was very yummy! Enjoyable experience and we commented that we could come back.

Yelp
Probably the best Korean restaurant in the city. It's spacious and well-organized, so it isn't a long wait to enter, even on a Saturday might. The bbq meat was excellent, as was the service.
google avatar

Yelp
I had the best Korean food in my life here today. No doubt I would have to go to Korea to find better. Food was excellent! Place was clean and service was prompt.

Yelp
This place was a gem. We came here for a late lunch and it was perfect. The food is very different from what I am used to in K-Town LA but was definitely unique and flavorful. We ordered the bibimbap, seafood pancake, cold noodles, and soup - all were fantastic! The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Would recommend a stop by.

Ellie H.

Yelp
Very disappointing. BBQ menu requires you to order two options & sides. Too much food for 2-4 people. So we ordered bibimpap and tofu/seafood stew/soup. Both were tasteless especially the tofu soup and the bibimpap had very little meat. Adding hot sauce and soya sauce didn't improve things much. The online menu is very confusing as well; preferred the physical menu they used to have. Won't be returning.

Yelp
Went last Friday to this place with my husband and had one of the best dining experiences ever. We ordered the jajangmyun noodles and tang su yuk with chicken. Both dishes were great, very tasty and unique. They gave a few additional free side dishes, one of which was the spicy kimchi. The kimchi is the best I've had, I used to dislike kimchi tillI had this kimchi which really changed my opinion on kimchi. The owner is very sweet, came up to talk to us, even gave us extra kimchi to-go because we liked it so much. Overall, great experience and this is going to be our regular korean place hereon!

Ariana H.

Yelp
If there was above 5 stars, I'd use that. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was the best experience I've had because of the owner, Jason. He is funny, kind, and so welcoming. He makes everyone feel like family and he moved us with his story about the restuarant. Truly an amazing family and person who runs a great restuarant. We even took a picture with him because of what a great person we met.

Andrew J.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience, would definitely Become here again! We ordered the ddukbokki, the bibimbap, the spicy pork rice bowl and the soondubu. All of the food tasted amazing, highly recommend the spicy pork rice bowl. The free sides were also delicious! What really stood out about the experience, however, were the staff! The owner was super friendly, came up to chat with us, gave us his special kimchi, made amazing conversation! Portion size was amazing, very good value! A must try in Toronto!

Anika S.

Yelp
I've come here a couple times and the food is really good! The owner and staff are also very kind and engaged in friendly conversation with us. I come from far just to eat here because the food is so good. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Yelp
We had a lovely evening at the Korean Village Restaurant. We got the La Galbi (Korean bone in ribs), cold noodles, and the seafood pancake and it was all excellent. (5/5). The service here is great, the draught beer is fresh, and when you dine here, you feel more like family than a customer. Would love to come back!

Yelp
Good vibes with authentic Korean food. Their japchae is something I would want to come back for. But for bulgogi and the Korean pancake, their were mediocre. The staff and nice and the owner's son is very enthusiastic.
google avatar

Cathie J.

Yelp
This place is truly a gem. The owner, Jason, is incredibly friendly and will take time to get to know your table and make the experience memorable! Food was delicious as well. It is on the pricier end of other restaurants in Koreatown, but I have gone back multiple times :)
google avatar

Janny L.

Yelp
We came here in November 2021, and until this day, we still talk about the incredible customer service we had. The food was great, but what made it a better experience was the owner, Jason, who spoke of the restaurant's history and keeping its legacy alive. We noticed that the staff and Jason went to each table having genuine conversations - which we appreciated. You can tell the care and passion put into the food and service.

Yelp
Came here on a whim with my boyfriend. Decided to get some Korean food since we are in Korea town. Got their steamed Korean dumplings, L.A Kalbi dinner, and soondubu (tofu stew). Although pricy and the order only came with 3 pieces, I really enjoyed their kalbi, the meat was super tender and flavourful. 4/5 I also really enjoyed their soondubu, super flavourful. Filled with tofu and seafood pieces. A total umami bomb! 5/5 Their dumplings was a bit lacklustre in my opinion. The filling to dumpling skin ratio was on point but the flavour was nothing special. I've definitely had better elsewhere. 3/5

Sarah H.

Yelp
The owner was extremely nice, he greeted every single table that came in with a giant smile. Everything was also delicious, we had bibimbap tteokbokki and dumplings.

Yelp
Yummy. Great smiles. Super service. Good food. Lots of options. Standard options and open to dietary needs.

Yelp
Korean Village Restaurant is a must-visit for its outstanding jajangmyeon and warm service. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff make it a true gem. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Apparently many celebrities have eaten here and their photos are in the entryway of the restaurant. All the servers are friendly and around so it never takes long to get their attention if you need anything. For two females we ordered a small fried chicken appetizer and a tofu kimchi stew. The appetizer was way larger than we expected. It seemed more like a main course dish. I had also thought it'd be like other Korean Fried Chicken and not in small pieces but it was still good. There was plenty of sauce and the breading on the chicken didn't get soggy even towards the end of the dish. I liked that the kimchi stew wasn't too spicy but still had a kick. It was perfect with the rice for a slightly chilly day. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal.

Yelp
This place is practically a Toronto institution and I love grabbing a hot stone bibimbap in their cozy booths. I've also done the Korean BBQ when family was in town, staff were attentive and helped us when we looked clueless. The quality of the meat was pretty good. The owner is friendly and strikes up a conversation with customers and thanks them for coming. This is a solid spot to grab a meal.

Yelp
Decide to visit Toronto's Koreatown and came across this restaurant. Came around lunch time on a weekday and there weren't that many people. My wife and I ordered the Spicy Cold Noodles, Yukgaejang, and LA Galbi. The Spicy Cold Noodles were very refreshing since it was hot out. Noodles were cooked well and had some elasticity to it. The LA Galbi was a bit overcooked to me. It came out already cooked on a skillet so that may have been why compared cooking it raw Korean BBQ style. The highlight of the meal was the Yugaejang. The broth was so clean, smooth, and flavorful. Wasn't too spicy and the combination of shredded beef brisket (super tender and not dry) and the assortment of veggies was perfect. There's a lot of Korean spot on that long road, but this is a spot that you must try at least once!

Yelp
Great food, service and atmosphere. I went with a group of friends on a Wednesday night and we had a great time. The food was delicious and good portion size for the price. Also the owner of the restaurant came around and was so kind and welcoming to our group. Will definitely come again and would recommend to others!!

Yelp
Korean Village Restaurant is a great place to come get staple korean dishes at a decent price. It has a large menu, so there is something for everyone! We also came as a group of 6 and they were able to accommodate us quickly without a reservation. The cheese ddakgalbi ($35) came on a portable stove to keep it warm. It was perfect to share between 4 people. I love that you get vegetables, meat, and cheese in one dish! What more can you ask for? It's especially great on days where you want warm comfort food. Hancook is still my number 1 restaurant for this dish, so there was a slight feeling that something was missing here, but it was still good. The omurice ($11) was a pretty standard egg and rice dish; I found it great to pair with some meat and veggies. My meal felt really well balanced combining these two dishes. Overall while nothing stood out as being exceptional to me, it is a great place for basic korean food. I would probably give it a 3.5/5

Yelp
This is a wonderful Korean restaurant that's been established in the neighborhood since the 1970's. it's a No-Frills Korean restaurant that has a good assortment of traditional dishes. The tofu soup is particularly good someone in my group noticed. When you walk in the restaurant you immediately notice the owner with local and international celebrities. This is the kind of restaurant you can hang out with friends and not feel any pretentiousness. The prices are reasonable and the food aligns with that.

Yelp
First of all, I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I feel this is one of the iconic, go to places you have to try in the city; specially if you're in Korea town (Bloor and Bathurst) area. The restaurant is a family owned establishment, inherited by Jason from his mother. God rest her soul, she was a most gracious hostess and you can see how well liked she was by all the pictures hanging from the walls as you walk into the place. They even got Jackie Chan on that wall. Jason the new owner, has always been the type of manager that bends over backwards to accommodate and ensure his customers are happy. It had been almost two years since I had been to Korean Village (because I moved to the suburbs) but he recognized me nonetheless, since I used to be a regular of a couple of times a week at least. We had the Korean BBQ and it was tasty and well priced. For the price I don't think you can go wrong with this place, but the service is outstanding and is the focal point if my review because whatever you ask Jason, he will try his best to accommodate. Whether it be extra lettuce to wrap your bbq with, or extra sauce, or no sauce, believe you me; my wife is picky. Jason even went to far as to gift my daughter with a collectible family heirloom that night. Truly an unbelievable and touching night. I am grateful for and this review is way overdue. Kid-friendliness We don't feed the baby salty or spicy stuff, and Jason was very accommodating with making us some baby friendly food. Nothing fancy but he took it upon himself to make adjustments to the food to accommodate our preferences.
