"This casual pan-Asian restaurant specializes in Korean food, with a few Japanese and Thai dishes in the mix for good measure. Those looking for sizzling dolsot bibimbap, simmering bowls of bulgogi ddukbaegi, or crispy pork katsu will not be disappointed with the restaurant’s impressive portions. Most of the entrees are accompanied by banchan, a collection of house-made Korean side dishes like kongjang (sweet simmered soybeans), ojingeochae bokkeum (dried shredded squid), and oi muchim (spicy cucumber salad). Diners can finish their meal with a scoop of the restaurant’s house-made gelato. Koriander is open for indoor dining and takeout." - Mariah Botkin, Sukhjot Sal

Got the curry chicken katsu, sweet and spicy wings and spicy teriyaki chicken. All absolutely delicious. Even the gelato I give a top ten. Even though it was busy tonight, the two waiters did an amazing job. Will definitely be going back.

Google
First time eating here and it most certainly won’t be the last! Very authentic Korean cuisine. I had the Octopus Dolsot Bibimbap. Great flavors and not too much heat. Large portions size, will be having the rest later! Attentive waiter with a positive attitude. Stop in! You won’t be disappointed.

Google
Pretty good, and a nice portion size—it will fill you up. I'd totally get a couple of menu items and share them with others so you can try different things. Tried green tea Gelato flavor, meh.

Google
Went with some friends and had a spectacular time! The staff were polite and quick, the food was delicious, and finishing it off with gelato ice cream was just the perfect way to end the meal. I'll be thinking about those Baked Green Mussels for a long while!

Google
Was my first time there. I was impressed with the portion size and quality of the food. The pork curry katsu was delicious.

Anita Holser

Google
Stopped by for lunch with a friend. She had the Curry Chicken lunch special, and I had the Beef Bolgogi Yakisoba lunch special. Both were tasty and presented nicely. Neither was as spicy as I was expecting, although they were generous portions. No coffee, but several types of tea available. Service was quick and friendly, and prices decent.

Google
The food is absolutely amazing! Two of us had the teriyaki chicken bowl, one bulgogi bowl and a chicken katsu bowl. The portions are good.

Google
Very good food and the portions were huge! My wife had the Bulgogi Stir Fry Udon and I had the Seafood Stir Fry Udon. Both were excellent. I've been here several times and have not been disappointed.

Yelp
**This account only reviews restrooms** While visiting Koriander, a nice little spot in Corvallis, you may feel the call to excuse yourself from the table. There are two restrooms, both single occupancy, one male, one female. Immediately upon entry you are greeted by the throne itself. No frills, straight to business. The decor is interesting. While sitting upon the porcelain delight you can look to your right and dream of the ocean. But... if you need some inspiration on what to do while in the restroom, take a gander of the photo left of the door and you'll see a nice photo of some chocolate gelato. A great reminder of the business you find yourself engaged in. The sink is a little dirty and the door looks like is was gripped by a mechanic that didn't wash his hands over a full day's work, but the restroom has all the tools you need to pull off the job you came there for.

Yelp
Ug love everything here. Ug recommend all things. Ug especially like wings, also soup with beef and noodle. Lunch give mammoth portion for trade. Cave get full fast.

Yelp
Awesome little Korean fusion place I found while visiting family. Quaint dining area can accommodate large or small groups. The menu has a great selection of Asian fusion, so you'll more than likely be able to find something you like to eat. I ordered Gimbap, seafood pancake, and japche And my aunt ordered soup. The food came out fast, it was hot and fairly delicious. I would have liked to have gotten a little more seasoning on the seafood pancake, but other than that, this place was a good lunch choice. I truly enjoyed the japche and the gimbap, two things I used to get all the time in South Korea. If you're looking for a decent Asian fusion place, swing by and give it a try.

Yelp
Food is alright. Small place with small menu. Good service. Steamed bun was better than the sandwich.

Aj T.

Yelp
The kimbap was great! Everything else we tried was pretty good. Great spot for lunch!

Jennifer Q.

Yelp
Oh my. The flavor of the food was wonderful. I tasted all 3 meals at our table and they were all exceptional. The menu was a little overwhelming to a newbie but the waiter was able to navigate it for us. We will most definitely eat here again.

Yelp
This is a good solid lunch place in downtown Corvallis. I really enjoyed my meal in the service was very attentive. I have a hard time going five stars stars on the food in the teriyaki place because I think it's pretty hard to mess up rice, meat and teriyaki shop salad. That's what I ordered and it was absolutely delightful and the service was outstanding.

Yelp
We just decided to try this place: a Korean fusion restaurant. We didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered bulgogi fried udon, rice cake and dumpling soup and mung bean vegetable pancake. The bulgogi fried udon was quite different but good! The rice cake and dumpling soup- the broth itself was surprisingly one of the better broth I've ever had! The mung bean pancake - we didn't really care for. The food took awhile but we enjoyed the vibe. The relaxing vibe was wonderful after a long day. At the end of dinner, the restaurant even offered gelato! Of course we had to have some! We ordered mango gelato and it was delicious!

Yelp
Koriander was a staple during my OSU days, and it's always one of my favorite places to stop by when I'm in town. Although it's easy to compare them to all the Korean restaurants in Portland, I feel like this review is only fair if it's an assessment based off of what is available in Corvallis - which is, to be honest, not a lot. Anyways, back to the food. They do give less banchan than most places, but if you ask for more, they are more than willing to add on some additional dishes. I really like their Octopus Bokkeum-Bap, and it is one of my go to orders here. The rice is crispy and comes out steaming, and adding a little of Gochujang gives it just the right level of spice! The portion is also quite large and I am always quite full after eating here! They're not open on Sundays, but have pretty consistent hours throughout the week. A great option for lunch or dinner!

Robin S.

Yelp
Good downtown lunch spot (they have adult beverages so maybe dinner as well). - Billed as fusion cuisine and I suppose they offer that but I am more interested in straight-up Korean food. That's on the menu too. - Spicy beef soup (yukgaejang) is very good, although not terribly spicy (I believe you can order that if you wish). You get a large bowl, as is typical, with four banchan (also good) and some rice. - Service is efficient but wooden. Not many friendly greetings or smiles to be had here but you'll get your food in a reasonable time. And the check too. - Ambiance and seating are neutral, comfortable. All low-top tables and banquets so the mobility-challenged will be fine here. - It's quiet. You're not assaulted by dreadful music. - Very convenient to all the downtown shops and doings.

Yelp
Best Korean food in Corvallis! I've been here many times and Koriander never disappoints. Service is great. My favorites are the seafood pancake, Kimbap, Omurice, Stir Fry Udon and the soups. Will be back soon!

Fawn C.

Yelp
Delicious salad, very large, the chicken breast was a little dry. The service was great. The restaurant was very clean.

Lianelys C.

Yelp
The food quality in this place is amazing and it feels like homemade food, so it tastes like comfort. They're busy so keep that in mind, and they also have gelato, which is always a good idea!

Maddie B.

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday night and was surprisingly busy. This place has Korean food with a bunch of different dishes from kimbap to kalbi. We had both of those along with gyoza which were actually really good. They seated us fairly fast and the wait for food wasn't too long. Kalbi came with side dishes too and rice which was good!

Rose R.

Yelp
This place is just genuinely amazing with great service, and awesome food! The service is fast so you can get to go without a problem. You should check it out if you get a chance!

Taya M.

Yelp
Today was my first time! I was very happy with everything we got! We also had pan fry Gyoza 10/10 the dipping sauce was delicious vinegar base! Korean fried chicken wings are a whole other level! I've had plenty of fried chicken but this took the top place easily! Service was super friendly and fast! But everything was still pippin hot and fresh at the table! I couldn't stop eating sizzling hot noodle plate! Very excited to come back for pork and chicken Katsu! Anyone "considering" trying Korianders just go! You won't be disappointed! They also have a gelato selection which looked amazing but I ate too much for dessert to make it in. It was very quiet and nicely decorated! The lighting was dim but also very comforting!

Yelp
Came here for a mother daughter lunch date yesterday. Keeping my review consistent 4 star since I last reviewed 5 years ago? Was going to give 3 because quality of food did go down a bit and price did go up a bit however to support local business through pandemic I changed mind. After all the Korean food they served were still able to bring joy and to the table and tasted good, so that was enough to earn the star back. They still maintained serving delicious banchan (side dishes) and giving more to you with a heartwarming smile made up for it. Portion size wise we ordered dolsot bibimbap ($15) which is stone pot mixed vegetables with rice cooked topped with a fried egg and some bulgogi. You break the egg up and mix all the veggies in and the side of bibimbap sauce. The hot stone pot kind of serves it purpose of charring or "cooking" the rice a bit more while it's being mixed. It was delicious and side dishes went well with the entree and rice will always fill up hungry stomachs. I did wish there were more veggies and meat. It was a good mother daughter lunch date.

Yelp
Always so tasty, big portions. Their food is always so flavorful. Cute little restaurant and great quick service. Definitely a must-try.

Yelp
Considering where it's located, Koriander serves decent food. A miss-mash of Asian dishes, with a strong Korean base, it is clearly trying to hit several demographics at once: the student crowd desiring Asian cuisine, the quirky, the small Asian community in Corvallis. In that sense, it tries pretty hard to be all things to all people. The ingredients are fresh and the tastes are pretty authentic. I had the japchae (one of my faves) with bulgogi and my wife had the pad thai. In both cases, the food was competently prepared with extremely fresh ingredients. And again, considering they are not in a huge metropolis, they produce a decent meal. Where they lose points is in service. Despite the place being almost empty, it took a very long time to even order our food. When our meals did arrive, they were not well-coordinated, with one dish coming out considerably later than the second. The waitress, while polite, did not seem terribly interested in serving us. Fair enough, but a restaurant is often about service. If you have a hankering for pretty authentic Korean/Asian food, I'd say this is the place in Corvallis to come. Just don't expect too much more than that.

Anna G.

Yelp
Really liked it here. Service is great! We started with the fried tofu. It was good- didnt love the sauce but my husband did. My husband had the spicy seafood stew and it was hot! He liked it but kept saying how spicy it was. He didn't break a sweat, but gathered it was bordering on too spicy which for him is surprising. I had the Bulgogi beef. Super tasty but basically a platter of marinated beef and onions. After a few bites, was looking for more variation in flavors or a sauce (I know- how American) but will definitely be back and may try a bowl that has more ingredients.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch at Koriander while visiting Corvallis for the day. We had searched for Korean food and found this described as "Asian Fusion" and decided to give it a shot. Glad we did. We each had one of the lunch specials and they all were really good. Service was attentive and helpful, and prices were reasonable (especially considering the portion sizes). The atmosphere was casual and a little quirky but nice. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. Would definitely go back.

H M.

Yelp
Visited Corvallis and wanted to try out a Korean place. Man, this place was legit! We ordered Bulgogi Beef, Veggie bibimbap, and Mung Bean Pancake. They were ALL GREAT. My guest couldn't stop saying, WOW. I would say, they can improve their side dishes (ban-chan) but otherwise, no complaints whatsoever.

Dylan V.

Yelp
Great bulgogi, fun atmosphere, simple service. Not too pricey either. Would definitely come again.

Laura C.

Yelp
Short ribs was tender and tasty. The server was knowledgeable & accommodating to our concerns of food allergies.

Maggie W.

Yelp
Best food ever! The food is so good, the service is quick, and my daughter loves it! There's this one waiter who is so nice, and the last time we went, he remembered my order! Definitely recommend

Shashwat D.

Yelp
The best pineapple fried rice I have ever had! I also like their dolsot bibimbap with an extra serving of hot sauce. They have a decent amount of vegetarian options and always carry a small collection of soju. Service can sometimes be a little slow but is always great!

Joyal S.

Yelp
Excellent food! My go to restaurant every time I'm in Corvallis. Very authentic Korean cuisine.

Cindy L.

Yelp
Super delicious. Visited twice in the last six month. I have to say this is an authentic Korean restaurant. I love all of their beef dishes. Seafood tofu stew is excellent with lots of seafood in the stew. Same for seafood pancake. They are very generous in putting seafood in it.

Michael S.

Yelp
This is our go-to spot when we want to get take out and have plenty of food for days. I always get the Kimchi fried rice, beef bulgogi udon noodles, and two orders I'd sweet and spicy chicken wings. Sooo so good! I forgot to take a picture because I devoured the food too quickly. My recommendation if you're getting take our is to call and whatever time they say, add 10-15 minutes because they get busy! But the wait is worth it. Staff are super sweet too.

Anna S.

Yelp
Our very first night in Corvallis we decided to go check out a Korean fusion place. My kids eat pretty much everything and Korean food is up there. We ordered bibimbap, 2 kids meals of beef with purple rice & tempura while I ordered a mild seafood soondobu. They were all delicious. The mild was still spicy to me. My spice tolerance has gone down, unfortunately. The food was delicious, waiters courteous and the place gets packed too! The wait staff still wore masks when we went.

Eff D.

Yelp
The food here is consistently very good! The portions are excellent ... I can rarely finish all of my meals and I am a big guy with a big appetite. The ambiance is pretty good ... although it can get a bit crowded at times.

Andrew G.

Yelp
It is fusion and creative, which I appreciate, but I actually prefer a run-of-the mill Korean restaurant.

Angela P.

Yelp
Crazy expensive $16 price for a mediocre smallish vegetarian bibimbap bowl without even tofu.

Fiona W.

Yelp
The service was pretty bad. I got sick the next day from the squid bibimbap. I might get food poisoning

Taj T.

Yelp
Pretty much the only reason I come to Corvallis is to visit Koriander. The city should really be renamed Korvallis in its honor. The lunch combo is such a good deal, I almost felt like I was robbing the restaurant. With my "Bulgogi" combo, I got enough food for lunch and dinner! The beef was a little too heavy on the onions, but the parts that were really juicy and saucy were delicious. The japchae noodles were also wonderful, the glass noodles so different from the usual noodle fare and the mixed vegetables plentiful. I thought the tempura was the best part of the meal. Even though it was a little too oily for me, the shrimp was something special with the way it was fried. The batter was brilliant! We come over and over because of the well sized portions and the quality of the food. The Korean dishes like bibimbap are solid, but you HAVE to try some of the speciality dishes like "Dukbopki". Aside from the food not coming out at the same time, I don't have too many complaints about the friendly service. Keep calm and Koriander on!

John S.

Yelp
I was really disappointed that when we ordered any dishes that included noodles, like the Kimchi stew, that the ramen used was actually instant ramen. The type you buy at the store for like 20 cents. I could tell it was because it was still in it's hard block form partially on the top. It wasn't even fully cooked. For the price I paid for the dishes, I would expect at least a higher quality noodle to be used. It overall tainted my image of the meal to being cheap. I don't recommend this place, there are better Korean restaurants in the area.

Steven T.

Yelp
Now that they are opened for dine in, I have to update and review my favorite restaurant to eat in all of Corvallis. Can confirm that their Naengmyeon is also very good like many of their other dishes. Get it during the summer to cool you off!!

Alexis B.

Yelp
Ohhhh my gosh. Koriander is one of my favorite restaurants in Corvallis. I'm vegan and their selection is amazing. I have gotten their teriyaki tofu which is served on a hot grill pan and the pineapple fried rice. Both were delicious. Friendly staff and not a bad wait time for how big our groups have been!

Leumas S.

Yelp
Great Asian fusion and Korean food. The bibimbap is flavorful and refreshing. The bulgogi beef is a really good, extremely flavor packed filling dish. The prices are great and portion sizes perfect for a single person or sharing with a couple people. I'd definitely come here again. Perfect spot if you're just craving Asian cuisine in general.

Amber T.

Yelp
This is a sold place to come for lunch. Their food is good, portions are good, and their price is good. I really like their seafood pancakes.

Mariah F.

Yelp
Food is pretty good. Not the mind-blowing stuff people built it up to be but enjoyable. The green tea ice cream is really good. Customer service is excellent.

Donna R.

Yelp
Great service with awesome attitudes and the food was fresh tasting and yummmm. Worth the stop!

Kathleen L.

Yelp
Food was great! Service was a bit of a wait (they were short staffed that day) but well worth it!

Naeel C.

Yelp
Just looking at the description of Korean and Italian mix piques my interest. I went during lunch and found the restaurant relatively lively. They offer a nice lunch combo, but I ended up ordering the Shrimp Udon. The shrimp was crisp, and the udon: thick and wheaty. The soup was nice and included an egg, fried tofu, and green onions. I didn't get a chance to grab any gelato, but it's convenient to have a contrasting dessert post meal. I do want to say the lunch combo is great for the value. It's a decent amount of food so be prepared to take a nap afterwords.

Joseph G.

Yelp
Wonderful tasting and looking authentic food. The Kim chi stew is especially good. Great service as well

Brett W.

Yelp
I was so excited when I saw the menu for this restaurant and I was not disappointed! I happen to be a huge fan of kdramas and kpop which also obviously led to a great curiosity about Korean foods and this was the first place I've seen that had all of the foods I was looking for! I will say that not being able to order online was disappointing because I'm antisocial but ordering was super easy and picking up the food also went really smoothly. I got the cheese dukbokki and crispy tofu nuggets and they were FABULOUS. Added bonus is that you get so much food with each order. Friends of mine got the Octopus Dolsot Bibimbap and the Chicken Stir Fry Udon and they were both happy with their choices. Will definitely return because there's so much more I want to try!

Edward L.

Yelp
Unexpectedly good Korean food found in Corvallis. My daughter ordered the kimchi jigae and I got the soondubu, both came pretty spicy - which we loved.

Helen W.

Yelp
This is a nice restaurant in downtown Corvallis! It's clean, nicely decorated, and all the employees are really kind. Even though we came at a fairly busy time, the wait wasn't very long. I got the chicken katsu and the dish came with a ton of food! The chicken was good, but not anything too special. It seemed like some of the prices on the menu were a bit expensive like the kimbap, which was $9. I was discouraged from trying it out since it's something I could make at home. I'll definitely be back since there are so many things to try on the menu! They also have a selection of gelato for dessert that I want to try!

Lindsey P.

Yelp
My absolute favorite Korean restaurant! I don't live in Corvallis but every time i come down to visit my family i always always come here. Their food is superb. Everything i've tried is great. I'd say one of the best in Oregon. I live in Beaverton where they have many Korean restaurants but this one is truly a gem!
