Egyptian Flame-Grilled Lamb — and Other Cheap Eats - Eater NY

"Koro Koro, located in Hoboken, New Jersey, serves Japanese rice balls, resembling nori sandwiches, with a choice of around 10 fillings daily. Recent fillings include miso beef, Thai shrimp, and a unique cochinita pibil (Mexican ground pork in citrus-scotch bonnet sauce), reflecting a fusion of Yucatecan-Japanese cuisine. The venue provides both counter and outdoor seating, offering a casual dining experience with engaging views." - Robert Sietsema

Onigiri heaven. Freshest I've had outside of Tokyo. Good choice of meat and vegan rice balls. Nutella rice ball dessert. What? Go now.

Super yummy rice balls! We got the salmon and spicy pork. Both very flavorful! Highly recommend as a snack or for lunch.

This place is dedicated gluten free and makes amazing Japanese"rice balls". They aren't straight super traditional in that there are a number of flavors inspired by, say, Cuba or wherever. But super yum if you can be cool with that. They also have sit paper they can use instead of seaweed if you're so inclined. Great Japanese potato salad. I dunno how authentic it is but I'd guess pretty authentic. I love this place. They also deliver locally. Gluten free and suitable for celiacs like myself.

Staff is super friendly. Food is a bit less of my liking I guess because I saw it has a really high rating. I had the: Miso soup - 3.5/5. The soup itself is tasty but the other ingredients are not so good, had better. Spicy Salmon - 2/5 BBQ Chicken - 3/5 The rice is ok, really not best quality like in good sushi places.

Very tasty triangles of rice, filled with wide variety of ingredients. Several vegetarian options (Indian is the best IMO) and all gluten free. Always friendly staff. Outdoor seating in the summer!

There's quite a variety of choices for ingredients, and the onigri is very delicious. They also have weekly specials to try out, so don't miss out on those! Staff were friendly and sociable. Trust me, you'll have a good time here.

Looking forward to ordering from here again. Great service.Great triangles (dug the small video frame describing how to properly open the package) I had the salmon and teriyaki and I enjoyed every bite! Small space with only 2 stools was a small issue for me.

So good! This was the first time I had rice balls, it was like sushi with delicious cooked fillings! I had the Cuban, Yama, Korean BBQ, and red bean. They were all good but the Korean BBQ and Cuban were exceptional.
