Beautiful place to bring for a date and have some wine. Food was fine, I was honestly expecting way more for the price. I’ve been to places that are half of the price and similar quality. The really annoying part is that they don’t have changing stations for babies, my wife had to change my daughter on the ground. Simply unacceptable for an expensive place to lack such a minimum thing. Hope all the best for the staff and owner but I wouldn’t return.

We were searching for a restaurant with outdoor seating and stumbled upon a gem. The waitress was incredibly warm and attentive—she couldn’t have been more welcoming. We kicked things off with a lightly fried calamari in a lemon pickled pepper aioli sauce that was absolutely amazing. From there, we may have gone a little overboard on the food, but it was well worth it! We tried the stuffed grape leaves, Greek sausage with honey mustard sauce and chips, and a large pork skewer served with tzatziki, warm pita, and Greek fries. Every dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. Well worth a visit and we will return but maybe order a little less food.

I can’t believe I live so close and had never been here. I have nothing but fantastic things to say. The drinks, appetizer, and meals were phenomenal. We’re not dessert people but we had to get some baklava to go because we were so impressed with everything else. 11/10. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Even the atmosphere was outstanding. We were big fans of the murals. We will definitely be visiting Kosmos again!

Update (06/13/2025) - Ordered the Mix Grill, Spanish Rice and Trio of Dips as take out and the quality is as great as always. Truly wonderful location! Q2 2024 - This review is from one dine in and one takeout experience. Dine-in I had a cocktail, sausage appetizer, seafood platter (which is a paella) and desert. Seafood platter is okay. Not exceptional. (Which is not their fault. I have come to an understanding that I'm not a fan of Paella) And as expected, you're missing out if you don't try the meat. The meat platter we had as takeout was exceptional. So were the salad and breads. Highly recommend experience!

We had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated at the nice area and super clean. The service provided by girls was outstanding—they were attentive, personable, and professional throughout the evening. We began with the dumplings, grilled chicken , and a feta and honey dish, all of which offered a delightful combination of flavors. The sauces and drippings were so enjoyable that we ordered pita bread to fully savor every bite. For our main courses, we selected the pork and lamb chops, accompanied by Greek-style French fries topped with feta. The fries, especially when dipped in the tzatziki sauce, were truly memorable. To finish, we enjoyed a beautifully prepared baklava—flaky, sweet, and nutty—paired with olive oil ice cream, a surprisingly perfect match. We also indulged in the “dessert for two,” a decadent phyllo dough and custard creation, drizzled with chocolate and presented like a dessert pizza. Overall, the meal was exceptional—an easy 11 out of 10. We look forward to returning soon.

Google
We loved every element of this restaurant! We were greeted warmly and sat at the bar. Liza and Vinny were perfectly attentive. We ate the dumplings, grilled octopus and feta with honey-thingy. It was such an amazing flavor combination that we ordered pita to dip in all of the plate drippings. Then we had the fried shrimp and lamb chops with greek French fries. The feta on the fries, dipped in the tzikki sauce was… chef’s kiss! We finished with the most flaky, sticky and nutty baklava with olive oil ice cream, a flavor combo I never knew I needed. We also had the dessert for two that was a philo dough, custard stuffed, chocolate drizzled pizza. 11 out of 10, we will be back.

Kosmos is a gem tucked away in downtown Walpole. We began going not long after they opened, and we continue to go back week after week (literally). The staff and owners are family to us now. All of Chef’s creations are wonderful, but we especially enjoy the fried zucchini, dumplings, and brizola (steak), and mama’s bougatsa for dessert. Lunch on the weekends is a must-do for a more casual meal. Also, the bar crew is top notch - we love trying all the creative cocktails they come up with!

Google
I LOVE Kosmos! The food and drinks are always excellent. Tony and Vinny make the best drinks, and the food is absolutely delicious. The chef and Mama always come out to thank us for coming, which makes it feel so personal and welcoming. I highly recommend everyone come out and enjoy authentic Greek food while becoming part of their warm, inviting family. The waitstaff is incredibly friendly and attentive, Mike, Dimitri, Payton, Kaitlyn, and Maria are all wonderful and provide outstanding service. Come out to Walpole and enjoy great food, drinks, and hospitality, you won’t be disappointed!

Yelp
Quite possibly the best meal near Gillette Stadium. It is very high end Greek and Mediterranean food, in a small but beautiful spot in downtown (?!) Walpole. I recently took a dear friend (and proper epicurean) from out of town. It was my second time at Kosmos, and (like the first time there) there was zero disappointment! We both started with a signature cocktail that essentially was a delicious Manhattan but with Metaxa. Unusual and very good. They brought fresh bread with drizzled evoo (super high quality!) We started with their legendary grilled octopus. It is perfectly spiced, so that the flavor is enhanced, but not eclipsed, and it has small dollops of humus (excellent). Out of respect for the amazingly intelligent octopus, I generally avoid it at restaurants, but this one splurge was definitely well worth it. Our server noted that it is unforgettable (and he was right). We split the "meat" mixed grill for two (frankly, it could easily satisfy 4-5!) as I had the seafood for two (but three of us ate it) on my previous trip to Kosmos. Both are delightful. The mixed grill came with grilled lamb chops, amazing grilled chicken on the bone, Greek sausage, and an enormous lamb kebab (so big, we had to ask the server to help to remove the long skewer) and tons of thin Greek french fry wedges (addictive). Generous sides of homemade tzatziki and what we both guessed was taramasalata. Very very very good. And there is fresh pita (as well as those fries) for dunking. In short, the leftovers were so voluminous that they were my lunch and dinner the following day. It's not cheap by ANY standard, but the quality and quantity of their food and drinks certainly justified the cost. This is one of the three best gourmet Greek restaurants I have been to in the US (the other 2 are in NYC) and is on a par with wonderful meals I have had in Athens and the Greek islands.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Ambiance was very nice Service was very attentive We shared the meat platter for 2 and had leftovers for the. Ext day ! Everything was delicious and fresh!

Yelp
Came here for appetizers and boy was I impressed! Their standout dish for me was the Kolokithakia, aka fried zucchini with tzatziki. They are addicting and I could've eaten the whole bowl alone. The perfect crisp paired so well with the sauce. I highly recommend this appetizer. Although I did not eat an entree, my friend ordered the roast chicken dish and loved it. Also tried one of the greek dumplings app which was goooood too! The bartender was also so kind and really took care of my friends and I well! I will be back for more!

Yelp
Excellent fresh flavorful food! I came all over here because fellow Yelpers said check it out so I did. Oh my goodness, absolutely no regrets and worth the drive. We ordered the zucchini chips, the octopus, and the beet salad, and the humongous platter of meat for two. For the first time, we had to doggy bag some of it. Had all of it for lunch the next day. I was very impressed and very full and would love to come back here again if I'm in the area to try some other Greek authentic items. Service was friendly too!

Yelp
Just like we were back in Greece. We came for the honey feta and it did not disappoint. Every dish was full of delicious Greek flavors. Spanakopita was so good. Warm atmosphere and caring staff. We will be back. It is a small restaurant. About 20 tables and a large bar.

Yelp
Best Greek Food I've ever had. Except the time when I was in Greece LOL! You know when you go out to eat you expect everything to be great or how about excellent, exciting, fun, romantic, lively. I know, I know these are just some adjectives I like to use to describe Kosmos. We came here after an event since it was nearby and on recommendation. Luckily we scored 5 bar seats since the restaurant was full. Our bartender (blanking on her name) was incredible. She was so kind and helpful. I was actually the first one there and was trying to save all 5 seats and was hoping my friends would arrive in time and luckily they did. I tried a few of their wines from Greece and I went with their Pinot Noir which was great. To start we ordered: Kolokithakia (lighly battered zucchini), Horiatiki Salad (classic greek salad, Trio of Dips, and a rice dish that I can't remember the name. Everything was spectacular! From service, to food, and then the best part was meeting the owners family and Chef who all came out to say hello. This place is definitely a gem in the heart of Walpole. Both quaint and romantic, a restaurant to take your loved one or friends. A special restaurant for sure and one to check out sometime soon as in tomorrow. Cheers!

Yelp
OMG..words can not begin to describe the experience..a venue for 8 to 78 year old taste buds is a treasure..and Kosmos is a gold mine!!

Yelp
Cute Greek restaurant right in the heart of Walpole. The appetizer portions are small to share with more than 2 people and priced high, but offer good variety and flavor. The lamb chops are a must try entree, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice. Overall, it's a bit pricey but when we're in the mood to spend a bit more, this place is definitely at the top of our list.

Yelp
The food was very good. We shared the Village Spanakopita and the octopus which was delicious. Three of us split the Poikilia Kreaton which was a combination of lamb chops, chicken, beef and gyro meat. It was delicious. The ambiance was great.

Yelp
We've visited Kosmos twice now and I think we've found our new favorite restaurant. Nestled in a row of buildings in downtown Walpole, it's not much to look at from the street, but inside it's a different story. The place is quaint and larger than it looks, with two inside dining areas separated by a short hallway, and an outside dining area in the back. Table space is more than adequate, the lighting is perfect and the décor is subtle, but inviting. Assuming you like Greek fare, the food is superb! I was especially impressed by the Kontosouvli, a pork skewer with tzatziki, fresh pita bread, and Greek fries made on site. My wife was delighted by the salmon special with steamed vegetables. Their wine list is wonderful, but their desserts - of which there are only three - were fantastic. Monica had the rolled baklava and I had the Lemonopita, a lemon cream merengue with graham crumble. She had an espresso afterward that she thought was terrific. The service was excellent! Our server, Payten, was attentive, friendly, responsive and charming - best waitress we've ever had. What the heck more could you ask for? It's a bit pricey, but the servings were way more than enough and we each went home with enough for another meal. So the value is outstanding. I guess I should add that we have no personal connection to this restaurant; it was recommended to us by a friend.

Yelp
I was very proud of myself for venturing out of my neighborhood and trying out this restaurant......and boy was it worth it. Super cute restaurant with large bar and seating throughout restaurant. The staff is lovely and helpful. The restaurant is popular and busy. (Recommend reservation.). Food is amazing...great selection of Greek appetizers and main courses. If you are up for sharing you can order one of the sharing main courses. Tried multiple items here and loved them all. (Fried zucchini....so yummy.). Good size portions on the plates. So unless you want a lot of leftovers start small. They also have a full bar with craft cocktails and good wine list. Prices are reasonable and there is parking lot in back. Great for a date or dinner with friends. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Kosmos is a breath of fresh air to an otherwise relatively dull and predictable suburban dining scene. Far from the traditional recipes from a Greek Yiayia, they dish everything up with a touch of modern flair that makes for a standout, and delicious experience. The decor is sleek and showcases a lot of blues and whites. There's Birch dividers to break the bar area from the dining area, there's pieces of ropes on lamps to tie in some of the Mediterranean vibes and frankly, it all works beautifully. We opted to try their imported Sparkling water, Zagori ($6.50) a pop to accompany our meal and ordered up a whole bunch of different dishes. The marinated olives ($7) were generous and had big notes of Greek herbs, garlic, and citrus. The Saganaki ($14) was delicious and fun to share; a big hunk of salty, pan-friend Vlahotyri hard goat cheese that came served up with a unique and creative tomato and strawberry jam whose acid cut the richness of the dish. A massive hit for our table. The Kataifi shrimp ($16) were also delicious and beautifully cooked. Five came to an order and the outside was perfectly breaded and the honey that came with it was a nice accompaniment. Then came our entrees: the lamb chops ($39) and the Kontosouvli $26) - which is a massive pork skewer served up with Greek fries, Tzatziki and pita. Both were scrumptious and the presentation on the Kontosouvli was really cool; it came plated in a special tray with the skewer suspended over the rest of the food, dripping occasionally little droplets of fat over the rest of the dish which was... neat and made for a tasty meal. The side of braised wild greens, Horta ($6), were dill-heavy but the touch of olive oil and lemon juice lightened everything up and it paired nicely with our entrees. Service was stellar, as was the food and their extensive selection of Greek wines, imported beers and more made for a beautiful meal and experience. The decor pops and the modern twists on the food give you a big city experience, right in the heart of Walpole. I cannot wait to return. It looks like they'll be refreshing their menu soon for spring which is nice and they just started offering up brunch as well. Do not however that they didn't have any daily specials or a kid's menu during our visit.

Yelp
This is the place ! Best food and service in a perfect setting. I even order takeout once a week! But you need the experience of dining in there amazing Thank you my friend and I enjoyed tonight !

Yelp
Hidden Gem in Waplole Ma. everything we had was excellent, started with the Ceasar salad which was fresh and perfectly dressed . Entrees were the lamb and eggplant both delicious, and followed with a lemon dessert that was fabulous. My new "special" area restaurant.

Yelp
Couldn't decide between trying Kosmos for dinner or for brunch but settled on Brunch. Absolutely loved this new restaurant in Walpole. The inside was very stylish giving off Greece vibes. Nice setup with the bar on one side and then more seating on another to give a quiet experience. The menu offered lots of traditional Greek dishes and a twist on brunch favorites. We got the lamb meatball shakshuka and the French toast. The shakshuka feeds 2-3 and was very tasty. The French toast was the star of the show as it was a nice thick brioche bread and was soft on the inside, but crunch on the edges. The whipped cream, berries and we added the Maranda chocolate to make one of the best French toasts I've ever had. Also got an infused whip cream boozy ice coffee that was so good. I would 100% recommend this spot if you're looking for a trendy brunch with great food without having to go into the city!

Yelp
I doubt this place even needs my excellent review but here goes. We were able to score a seat at the bar on a busy Saturday night. Our bartender Freddy was gracious, friendly, and kind. The two behind the bar could really work the bar shaking the drinks and socializing. The drinks were delicious and well made I got the swordfish which was delicious and flavorful. The lamb dish that my spouse got was excellent as well. The fries were dynamite with the Taziki sauce. The staff here is so friendly it makes you wanna go back the food and the drinks were stellar

Yelp
Immediately upon walking in, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was very clean and chic. Every table was full, and it was a Wednesday night. I'm glad I made a reservation earlier in the day. There were so many options for appetizers but limited options for meals. However, the food that we ordered was very flavorful. The service was great. However, we were there for a long time. One other thing to note - as an ice cream enthusiast, I was there was more ice cream on top of the baklava. Parking was easy. There was street parking and a lot (with a small sign) near the restaurant too

Ex-chef G.

Yelp
Food and service here are amazing! We've been 3-4 times and everything we have tried has been great! The octopus was a little too charred one time but was still delicious. Carrot appetizer, fried shrimp app, octopus, delicious steak and desserts!

Brandon S.

Yelp
Best Greek food I've ever had . The service was excellent maybe the best I've ever seen at a restaurant. The branzino was perfectly cooked with crispy and delicious skin. The grape leaves were very tender and delicious. The dips were psycho good I ate every last drop of the pita and dips. We will be back. 10/10

Yelp
Fantastic!! Truly one of our favorite restaurants and my wife and I go all over Boston (back bay, JP, Roslindale, Sea port, south end). We've gone twice. Lots of great options to share and huge portions. The pork skewer was amazing. We shared the two larger plates Keith another couple. The shared seafood option was updated (lobster, shrimp, swordfish - no clams or mussels) and it was fantastic. Highly recommend this place!

Margaret H.

Yelp
Wow- food surpassed expectations! Service was excellent and the lavender drink was unique and delicious. Cute decor and would like to try in warm weather and sit outside. Lively bar area and we sat in quieter area in dining room.

Yelp
Fantastic food and ambience! Drinks were great. However, we did feel a little rushed to leave.

Yelp
Best Greek food and flavors I've had, never having been to Greece. Pita and dip appetizer is beyond amazing. Very cute and modern inside. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
Charging extra for more pita bread; not cool! Entrees were good, though. I'd go back.

Yelp
Great place to experience. Delicious food, great service, beautiful decor and touches to the restaurant. Ample of street parking. Best to make reservations in advance for a smooth dining experience.

Yelp
This place is the real deal. Service, drinks, ambiance, food knowledge, food quality. Massively exceeded my expectations and it's definitely the top choice to make over driving to Boston. They destroy most Boston restaurants. Highly recommend and if I could give more than five stars I would.

Christine G.

Yelp
Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Attentive service. Loved it!! Food was authentic Greek with great flavors

Yelp
Food: Recently coming back from Greece, I am happy to say the authenticity was damn near spot on and the portions were perfect (large). Greek salad was a nice start with clean vegitables and a refreshing mix of vegis followed by Burdeto (Bass) that was warm and perfectly cooked. Atmosphere: Staying true to the colors of Greece, you are welcomed with a perfect blend of blue, white, and a friendly greeting. Perfect for small gatherings and romantic fancies. Walking in you are greeted with a smile and a host that takes me back to Athens being overlooked by the Acropolis. Overall: I can easily see this place becoming one of the hottest locations in Mass. The blend of hospitality, food, and atmosphere is exactly what I would antifcipate if I were back in Greece. Looking forward to coming back and trying other parts to the menu.

Chris K.

Yelp
For Mother's Day, we took a trip through the flavors of Greece at Kosmos in Walpole. Although we made reservations for a high top, the bar was wide open when we arrived and decided we'd rather sit there to have a bit more room. We started with the Horiatiki Salad, followed by the Trio of Dips that offered hummus, spicy whipped feta, and a tzatiki to spread over warm pita bread. Both dishes were delicious, although we definitely needed to order a second plate of the amazing pita. Next up we tried the Spanakopita, which was flaky and filled with spinach and feta. I wasn't a huge fan, but I was the only one because everyone else loved and devoured it. The Loukaniko might have been my favorite appetizer to try. It was a delicious greek sausage with a honey mustarda served over some chips. Last on the agenda, the Dolmades were a standout, with grape leaves wrapped perfectly specied ground beef with a light lemon yogurt sauce. To complement our meal, we enjoyed the Kosmos drinks (vodka, white cranberry, orange, and lime) and enjoyed the Kosmos IPA from Opa Opa. We end our dining experience with Espresso Martinis, providing a perfect liquid desert from our meal. Tony, our server, helped make for a fantastic visit. His attentive and personable approach made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout dinner. He was knowledgeable able to answer numerous questions about the menu (not to mention able to pronounce it all for us!), which was helpful given our unfamiliarity. Kosmos in Walpole is a gem worth visiting!

Alyson T.

Yelp
I have been waiting to get here since I drove by saw the sign of a new restaurant coming to town. And it was well worth it and we will be back. The food was so flavorful and delicious. We started with the lamb meatballs and the open faced spanakopita. Then we had the rib eye and the pork skewers. Everything was so so so good. We had the baklava with olive oil ice cream to end the night and I am not a dessert or a big person on sweet. But this was really good and the combination of the sweet with the ice cream was very good, only thing might want it on a bigger plate as cutting it was tough. We will back for sure!
google avatar

James V.

Yelp
Food tasted good and the staff was friendly. Service was slow. Food came out piecemeal. Portions were small relative to the high price. Tables were closer together than in most restaurants. I don't want to be so close to other dinners that I can touch them.

Yelp
I'm a Greek American from Astoria, NY (Greektown USA) now living in the burbs of Mass, who has struggled to find authentic Greek food in the region - well, my search is over! Finally went to Kosmos las night to celebrate my birthday and it was such a gift!!! The place was packed and the service was phenomenal - shout out to our server, forgot his name but from Honduras. Ordered the horiatiki salad, octopus (perfection) and fried zucchini for appetizers. So delicious! We got the meat platter for our main and although the menu states it's for 2, all 4 of us dug in and had leftovers. The platter is that big and utterly delicious. I closed my eyes and thought I was back in Greece.... Thanks for being authentic and yummy! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
There of us went with a reservation on a Thursday night at 6. I thought it was a little weird that we were seated in the back corner of the restaurant and not in the front, quite empty section. We've been here several times now and there's a strange vibe with the hostesses. Anyway, cheerfully greeted by our waiter and introduced to the restaurant. We ordered 3 different cocktails, which were interesting and fine. They brought over bread and a dip, which was nice, except I quickly discovered that the bread was coated in oil, which was strange in that there was a dip for the bread. I then transferred the oil from my hand to the napkin, rendering the napkin useless due to the quantity of oil. Having been there before, we felt that the appetizers were better than the mains, so we planned to order a bunch of them and figured we could order more if necessary. The three dips were quite good with the grilled pita. The Horiatiki salad was very good, as was the fried zucchini. The Saganaki tasted good but it was very dense, almost too tough. The Moussaka croquets were okay, but nothing special. They were more like arancini. If we stopped there, my review would be 3 or 4 stars. Unfortunately, we also got the Keftedes and Spanakopita. Both of these were pretty inedible. The open faced spinach pie Spanakopita was not open faced, but a solid structure that was so tough, you could hardly cut it. It was awful. The Keftedes reminded me of superballs that you had to use a knife to cut. They shouldn't be that tough. My guess is they were on the older side. Unfortunately, I doubt we'll be going back. And it's a shame because we liked it a lot before.

Shauni U.

Yelp
I am foodie so I like trying new types of food in different locations. However a Unwelcoming vibe, sorry service and average food taste makes staying home the best option. Food: was solid, nothing to write home about. Does well I am sure in the town only. Service: unwelcoming, slow and contentious. Waiter really argued with me about the fact I didn't like my drink. I took 2 sips out of the drink, replace it or take it off the bill. Ambiance: is the best thing about the place, it's cute.

Yelp
Stopped here on my way home to pickup dinner to go. While I waited for my order, I took a seat at the bar and order a Grey Goose martin. The martini and bartender were great! Our dinner was delicious. We ordered Spanakopia, Kolokithakia and Baklava. Baklava was good, a little too sweet for my wife. We plan on going back and dine there.

Yelp
Brunch is to die for!!! Dinner is also amazing! You can't go wrong. We loved sharing a platter for dinner and picking at the pita and dips. All delish and a great atmosphere!

Yelp
Kosmos has been an addition to the area. We've dined there multiple times and have always been satisfied. I got the meat kabob plater which included lamb, chicken, sausage and pork - it was well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

Baberto F.

Yelp
Excellent Greek food and service. The lamb chops were perfection and the salmon was great! Nice atmosphere... you'll feel like you're sitting in a little village in Greece!

Sadaf E.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! We love Kosmos!!! We've been here a couple of times and mainly go back for the heavenly delicious chicken every time! The service is superb as well. Definitely try the zucchini chips and tzatziki, caesar salad, and the CHICKEN!! The chicken is just out of this world!! The best chicken we've had in years at a restaurant!

Yelp
Spectacular Greek food in a relaxed casual , certainly not fancy establishment. My adult kids and my family love it there!

Yelp
Finally an excellent restaurant in Walpole. The Greek food is delicious we have yet to try either en entree or small plate that we didn't love. Note we travel often and have eaten at top restaurants to street food. The service is impeccable with the wait staff always pleasant and courteous. The food comes out quickly and yummy. Even the drinks are good. If Boston had Michelin stars this small restaurant would deserve one.

Joe S.

Yelp
Excellent, just go! For authentic greek food you will not be disappointed. Atmosphere is like being in the Old Country

Varsha S.

Yelp
Really nice ambience, drinks were great, few but good vegetarian options. Cauliflower didn't seem cooked well enough, but the trio of dips and fried zucchini were great. Need reservations for dinner a few days before min
