Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab

I have a gluten allergy and the branch in Industry city has been trialing keeping gluten free wraps. They handle my order with so much care to avoid cross contamination ( changing gloves/ not cutting it/ not toasting it etc). I really appreciate being able to eat wraps because it isn’t something you commonly get as someone that’s allergic rot gluten. They’re extremely delicious and flavorful, and I eat them a few times a week!

Great price! Great seasoning on the chicken . Very efficient and fast. Not many people were in the building . Super polite service. The food is what would bring me back here . A lot better than the dry tacos next door . What you see pictured is a smaller version of their chicken sandwich and it was $3.50 that day.

My wife and I both got ourselves a taste of Berlin with the chicken döner cone. It was pretty much exactly what I expected. Very tasty chicken. White sauce. Red sauce. Took about 20 minutes from order to eating. Which they had wine.

One of the last places to close on Saturday evening in Industry City. Not too bad, but some of the orders did not come out the way we asked. Probably because we were one of the last people there.

Epic Kabob wraps, excellent customer service. The owners are very hospitable and sweet. Industry City is the perfect spot for this deliciousness. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

The food used to be much, much better. For the past several times during the last six months, it has gone downhill. See the images: greasy rice and leftover/burnt pieces of chicken.

I love this place. Great atmosphere , wonderful staff, and obviously awesome food!!! My favorite is the Chicken Durum wrap with a blood orange San Pellegrino. Highly recommend to stop at any of their locations in NYC.

Meh. I love this type of food, and this was decent, but I had a lot of issues. The bread is fresh and tasty and crispy, but for almost $17, there needs to be more toppings and especially chicken inside the sandwich. Also, because of the shape of the sandwich, it’s very difficult to eat and fit in your mouth. I also was the only person waiting for my food after I ordered, and it somehow took about 15 minutes for it to be ready.

As someone unfamiliar with this style of food this was a great jump into the world of Doner Kebab. You could taste all of the spices they had and very nice portions where i feel you could easily split it and have a good meal.

While shopping, we got hungry and because this place had decent reviews, we stopped by. We ordered a wrap and salad -- Each had similar ingredients -- meat, vegetables, a bit of kick, and some sauce. I thought the salad was good and my husband said the wrap was as well. It's no frills with pick up and bring to open seating, but it quick, and they had a some good beverages to accompany it. At industry city, it's not a bad option.

This is just average. I was excited to have visitors try here but despite the nice staff, the meat was given to them from a crock pot instead of from the spit causing their sandwiches to be dry and lack flavour. They still said they liked it but word to the wise, ask specifically for fresh meat from the spit, as it was assumed they'd get otherwise you'll get stuck with warm old stuff.

This was the best chicken döner I've ever had. The slaw, chicken, turkish pita, everything was perfect. The bread tasted fresh, the slaw was refreshing, the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The feta added the salty, the sauces added depth. I wish there was this place in Florida because I will crave this until I can get one in Turkey (married into a turkish family).

Still one of my favorite places to grab lunch at. Always delicious and fresh. Surprisingly as many times as I get food from here; the taste and quality never seem to fail me. (Many times when you order from the same establishment they have "OFF" days) but not my Kotti :)

It was my first time ordering from this chain and I went the safe route and got something that seemed most familiar: a chicken over rice bowl. While it was a solid bowl overall with all great ingredients and sauces, the main ingredient (the rice) was undercooked and hard. It could be that I went during closing time and their rice has been sitting there for a while, or they just don't know how to cook their rice since I see some other reviews saying the same thing. Please fully cook your rice!!! It ruins a whole bowl of perfectly good ingredients/toppings if the rice is too hard to chew or digest. I had to throw out nearly half the bowl because of it, and this is after I reheated it. I tried to salvage it, but to no avail. If it wasn't for the rice, this would've been an easy 5*

It's unfortunate that a Döner in NYC costs twice as much as the most I've ever paid in Germany including near Museum Island outside Hackescher Markt S Bahn station in Berlin (so more expensive than most places) just last month. I think we need Döner trucks.

- that was one of the best chicken sandwiches I ever had - it was a sloppy mess and falls apart easily, so be weary with who is around while you are eating - I ordered delivery, so I can't say much about the indoor environment - that chicken and focaccia was reallllllllllly good!

Once again really poor service at this location. I arrive really excited to get a sandwich which came to almost $20 and the clerk refused to take a $50. Had to walk away.

I took a special trip to Industry City in BK from Jackson Heights, Queens on January 3, 2022. After my grocery shopping at Sahadis and the Japanese grocery store at Japan Village, time to get my kebab fill at Kotti. I had my 'go to' Chicken Kebab sandwich. What made it great was Ali, the counter lady. She had great Customer Service. She was very short staff that day but she was still in great spirits. We had a good talk of my love of Germany. I went crazy eating Turkish food when I was there on my 2nd vacay in 2006. Will be back again soon. Like that they had indoor seatings because I didn't want to freeze my assets eating my kebab.

I love this place. I would come back again and again for the chicken kebab. The flavor!! The freshness!! The bread!! If you're in industry city, this is a must get.

Fun venue, great customer service and good looking people. Food was a strong okay, would try again to confirm either way.

Wanted to try something different in IC. Staff wasn't very friendly, but they had a doner slider for $5 so a great snack! We got all the toppings and they were tasty. I'd check out the other menu items next time. Pro tip: grab a beer at the Burger Joint next door while you wait for you food!

Not good. It was a giant sandwich - with a ginormous pita which had the texture of Italian bread. Filling was very mediocre at a $15 price point. I would describe their chicken kebab as more of a salad in a sandwich with very little chicken to be found. Very disappointed with this place.

It's worth of Eat as Brooklyn exclusive since I don't see this place nor eat doner kebab like this in The city. I like this thick chewy bread a lot! Great combination with meat and veggies.

I really enjoy this place. The menu is limited but super yummy and flavorful options. Solid choice for lunch or a casual dinner. I think its a great a value as well!

Review refers only to delivery: Initially, the food from Kotti Berliner was consistently good. The salads were hearty and filled with tender chicken, complemented by an excellent array of dressings and sauces. Unfortunately, several recent orders have missed the mark entirely often filled with awful dry scraps of chicken. It is unfortunate as - when in top form - this is a solid take-out option. Hopefully the management will be able to get the restaurant back to its former glory.

We were so happy to come across the food stand version of this place at a street food fair across from the Macy's at Penn Station. We ordered the chicken on a Turkish bread. The bread was so amazing - crisp, fresh and delicious. The chicken was perfectly marinated with lots of different little veggies on top. The bread, sauce and chicken were all so great, making this chicken Mediterranean sandwich we've had. We definitely look forward to coming back the next time we are in New York! I am just happy I didn't let my still-digesting stomach talk me into buying another wrap (since 15 minutes later, I did find that I was indeed full).

Monday June 27th 1:00. They offer vegan and vegetarian options. My vegan wrap had feta in it. When I went to exchange it and this is what happened. Me- I ordered the vegan wrap Her- It is vegan Me- there's feta in it. Her- okay. *rolled her eyes* What? What do you want me to do? * while jerking her head with an attitude* Me- why are you giving me an attitude? Her- I'm not giving you an attitude * while smirking at me* I'll make another one. Me- you know what I don't want another one. I want my money back. I have never received such an unneccesary attitude from a person. She was extremely rude and condescending. I will never go here again and will let everyone else not to.

Made the stupid mistake of trying this place again. The rice was so hard that some of it had to be spit out. The chicken was dry and several days old.

Will definitely come back here. My husband had a chicken bowl, and really loved it. I ordered the tender beef, but I did not consider it to be tender. Tender beef would be short rib or brisket quality. It needs to stew overnight for several hours, in order to be the best texture and quality. I'm not a fan of chicken, but I would definitely do a vegetarian option.

The food is great! I keep coming back because of it. The service is awful. Seems like the requirement to work here is to have the lowest energy level possible and be passively rude to people. I hope it improves.

Got the chicken pilaf bowl and it was delicious. Chicken was super tender and juicy and full of flavor. Rice pilaf and salad and the pickled onions, etc paired well overall. Portion was pretty good for the price. Solid choice when visiting industry city

Could of been better the set up is kinda cool an old school Turkish street cart from Berlin.... but the chicken was kinda spicy The Döner was ok

I ordered the Thursday lunch special and was happy to hear they serve humane chicken! The sandwich was overflowing with vegetables and chicken and the bread was fresh. All the flavors melted together nicely but there was too much sauce in general that soaked into the bread making it overpowering and slightly soggy. I paid a little under $11 compared to their usual $13 price for the dish normally. I would love to try some of their other rice platters!

Ok I gonna be honest ... beeing from #Berlin and basically growing up on #döner I was very skeptical about what @kottidoner is all about... because many restaurants here "trying" to cook german food which isn't even close to anything we would eat back home. We tried the Chicken #dönerkebab and the #dürum both of them taste great and like back home beside we is #veal meat in Germany but this was a great experience and we would come back and certainly try the real restaurant in #brooklyn downtown... Super delicious chicken doner kebab sandwich! The ingredients used were very fresh and of good quality. The sandwich was ginormous, juicy, and packed with flavors. Loved how crunchy the bread was! Yum!

I have never had Doner before, but i think its my new favorite food. This place is absolutely fantastic. Not only is the food delicious, the customer service is out of this world. We happened to meet the owner, who not only helped me order, but also got us free desserts on the house for my friends birthday! i highly recommend visiting Kotti Berliner Doner Kebab when they have a chance!!!

Finally tried this place which I had long bookmarked. Tucked away in Industry City, Brooklyn, but still open even on Sunday when a lot of restaurants in Industry City seem to close. I had chicken doner kebab and thoroughly enjoyed my choice. Coming in a generous portion, the bread was perfectly toasted, crunchy outside and chewy inside. Chicken was tender, nicely marinated and veggies fresh. My fav was the pickled red cabbage which added the perfect level of acidity and sweetness. $15 for a kebab is not quite what I would call a budget friendly meal, but it's in Industry City so you pay extra for the ambience. Solid option for a meat lover like me. I'd def come again when I'm around.

Phenomenal gourmet kebab- everything is super tasty and fresh- from the ingredients to the homemade sauces. The bread is toasted and crispy and dusted with sesame seeds. Only caveat is that we wish more sauce was added.

This is the best doner on downtown brookkyn. Thank you Ali usta you are the best! I tried doner in a lot of places on New York state but Kotti Berliner Doner more difference than other. Try it and you see what I mean

An overpriced ripoff. Very ordinary Döner kebab and a miserly portion as well. Kind of bland and certainly not worth $13+ for inferior shards of protein. Yet ANOTHER place that disrespects potential customers by not listing prices on their website menu. Kotti obviously know that doing so would be a disincentive for many folks to come. Bummer. If you absolutely must eat at Industry City, Kotti is as mediocre and overly expensive as every other sorry-ass wannabe hipster establishment here. If you absolutely must eat...somewhere, walk two blocks over to 37th and 5th and have one of New York's best tacos at The Tacos El Bronco truck for $2.00. Don't waste your money at Kotti.

We have met Erkan, the founder of Kotti, at his Saturday Smorgssburg Booth. He is really from Berlin and he brought the authentic taste of Berlin Döner with him. As a German I approve this! With big appetite try the Dürüm or the Sandwich. With small appetite try the cone. And there is even a very good veggie alternative with grilled veggies instead of rhe meat. My Girlfriend liked it a lot. The Highlights for us were the sauces. Great Taste and perfect in combination.

It was absolutely delicious. I had the Kotti Doner chicken rice pilaf bowl. A+++!! And very sweet staff! Thank you!

Doner kebab sandwiches are the food I missed most from living in London. I was excited to see this shop opened up and even more excited to see a pop up stand at Saturday smoargasborg. We shared the doner kebab sandwich on Turkish pide. It was fantastic. Crispy, soft bread packed flavorful shawarma and tons of toppings like roasted veggies and Sheppard salad. It was topped with red and white sauce as a proper doner kebab should be.

I love DeKalb Market Hall and was excited to try Berliner's kebab. I ordered the doner kebab with chicken and beef because I couldn't choose. The kebab was a good size and pretty filling. The bread was fluffy and the meat was well seasoned and cooked nicely. The toppings inside go perfectly and provide a nice contrast in texture and lots of added flavor. I have tried many doner kebabs and this was easily the best I've had in the US. It is an elevated version of a doner kebab while still satisfying the craving.

The chicken is extremely flavorful. For the chicken only portion, they give a generous amount. The bread is absolutely delicious. It pairs well with the harissa that they serve on the side. I would love to go back for the vegetables. The description of the foods made by the owner made me want to try the place out. He made it all sound good and to which it ended up tasting good, as well!

I've reached a point where I will never come back here again. I really enjoy eating their breakfast sandwiches but every time I come there in the morning there is always some issue. Today they ran out of eggs. This is not the first time they ran out of eggs before 10A. I asked to have the chicken gyro as an alternative and the machine that makes it was broken. I drive here 30 minutes out specifically to eat their food. I will not come here ever again just to here their words, " we ran out of eggs." "Our gyro machine is not working." All you have to do is have food ready for the public and you can't even do that right. The owner really needs to get their stuff together. Very disappointed in this unreliable business who does not know how to serve its clients. Don't eat here.

I order the $14 "Signature" doner chicken kabob. Gal asks "would like to add extra chicken?" - another way of saying "Our $14 Chicken Kabob doesn't have enough chicken in it." I said no, thinking for 14 bucks how little chicken could it be. then got a "kinda sorta"chicken kabob with MAYBE 1 1/2 ounces of meat. Lame.

So this place is a must try for there organic foods lol.. I've had there rice bowl. And now I'm hooked on there salad bowl. My choice of meat has been chicken. The salad and there dressing is good. It's well portioned. It's worth the money because you can taste the freshness in the food. You can tell everything is prepared daily. This is now a go to spot when I'm in this area stopping at my jobs main office. If you work in this area and want something good stop.here you won't be disappointed...

Kotti is one of the best sandwiches you will ever have. Period. Everything works incredibly well together, I'm very thankful they are now in this part of Brooklyn!

UPDATE: MY RESPONSE TO THE MANAGEMENT/OWNER- Sorry Alison, it really isn't a "specialty dish" as in Germany it's mainly food you get after a night out, or as a quick cheap snack. Furthermore, this "dish" is eaten daily by modest people such as construction workers that pay no more than 5 euros for a doner kebab that comes with fries and a soda. So sorry, I don't think that your meat is anything special and I definitely don't think that it should cost as much as a steak at a restaurant. The fact that the sauces are homemade and the pide bread is made from a Turkish bakery also means nothing to me. Bread is the food of the people - it shouldn't cost more than a few cents to make. And lastly, the fact that you claim that the "prices reflect the cost of living in New York" is also nonsense. That is just code for "We do not sell enough doner kebabs so we need to raise our prices." Or maybe you just really want to get rich by selling doner kebabs, which if true, would also explain your absurd prices. Or it just might mean that you can't afford to stay open. It ultimately doesn't matter as I'm sure the rich hipsters of Brooklyn will think that they are very cool by eating it and will happily pay that much money. However, do you think a shop that sells bagels in New York City for 3-4 max $5 would claim what you are claiming? No, because everyone here knows what bagels are worth and they would be shut down if they had high prices like you have because no one would go there.

We stumbled across Kotti on our first morning in Brooklyn, having followed our noses to industry city. And what a find! The food. You could tell it was lovingly prepared, with generous portions of freshly prepared ingredients, and it tasted perfection! The service. Totally genuine, and above anything I'd have expected. I've never come across better. And a great recommendation for coffee! Thank you for making the first day of our visit from England start deliciously adventurous. Joseph and Charlotte

I was hungry we were in the area and my husband had been to this place a while back and wasn't too happy with the food. But since i am the one from Berlin he figured i should give it a shot. After a little bit of thinking both of us (also my former disappointed husband) decided to get the Döner Kebab without tomatoes and cheese since we both don't really like either of it. My first impression was hmm its a little small and kinda pricey for basically a salad on bread. I do know that the meat and the way its made and comes is the pricey part of this meal and it's nothing we will eat all the time anyway. So i tried it since it looked really delicious and i finally wanted something in my belly. And omg it was delicious. Although the sauce reminded me of when i eat indian food (it must have been a certain spice) and the meat was bigger chunks than how i know it - it was super delicious ! ...and filling actually since i wasn't starving hungry when we got there. I am giving 4 stars because of the price factor almost $12 dollars for a rather small Döner is a bit much if you need an actual meal when you are hungry. The staff was super friendly and it will definitely be a place to return to if the Döner hankering gets to me and i won't be visiting Berlin any time soon !

Nothing spectacular for me. Just another fast food. Not cheap at all. I don't think they do anything special or put extra effort into this place. Won't eat there again.

Checked out Industry City and this stall caught my eye - been a while since I've had a doner kebab! TLDR: Doner kebab sandwich was great, service not so. Doner kebab sandwich ($13) Wow! A thick square of bread, smeared with white garlicky sauce on one side and tasty red harissa sauce (not spicy hot) on the other, then stuffed with chicken, vegetables and feta. Firstly, is it just me or is this bread amazing? Pillowy soft on top, and a good crunch at the bottom. Harissa sauce was very tasty! Really makes the sandwich. Combined with the white garlicky sauce, it was divine. Chicken pieces were plentiful and not dry at all. Vegetables bring in some freshness and lightness. The only issues would be... 1. The sandwich is *huge* (part of the appeal though!) must keep food monster in check to not end up with sauces all over. 2. One guy was not welcoming at all... he was just staring at the air. Maybe he had a bad day or something but it turned me off a bit.. Anyways! Definitely a spot to check out! ;)

I go to Kotti Berliner at the Dekalb Market on a weekly basis because their doner kebabs are so dang delicious. It's always my top recommendation to everyone I know. Their doner kebabs are perfection - the bread is fresh and delicious, the chicken is high-quality, the toppings are bright and crisp, and the sauces pull everything together beautifully. While I am shamelessly addicted to their food, it is really their customer service that has secured me as a loyal customer forever. They take extra care to make sure that your order is executed perfectly every time. Only one time did I receive an incorrect delivery order - missing sauces that I had asked for on the side; however, the owner realized their mistake, called to notify me before I even received the food, and then took an uber a mile to my house to hand-deliver the sauces because "everyone deserves to get exactly what they ordered". I was incredibly impressed with the owner's dedication to customer satisfaction, and I will never forget that.
