"Kotu’s dining room features neon accents and a dry-aging fridge that proudly showcases primal cuts of beef. If opting in for the premium option, go for the sliced short ribs and beef tongue. Also, be warned that they only seat tables of two or more, so solo diners will be turned away." - Jackie Tran

Really love all the sides. Best Kimchi dishes in Tucson. Great meat and extras you can get as well. Wonderful staff. Our new go to for kbbq! Have some pictures but not a lot (was so hungry and in the moment 😄).

Google
We had a fantastic meal at Kotu KBBQ! They had a wide variety on their classic menu (we didn't feel like we needed the premium selection) and their sides were to die for. They offer to change your grill whenever you want, which is a plus, and they have a pretty good drink selection too. The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the service. Everyone was very nice and helpful, however we had no idea who our personal server was. There were many times we were caught looking around to find help or order another round, with no idea who exactly to look for. But we'll definitely be back!

Google
I would highly recommend this place! We decided on the premium meat option which includes two kinds of short ribs and a cowboy steak.. All were great! There is also a beef tongue on the premium list which we did not try. We enjoyed everything on the regular menu as well. The cheese corn is SO GOOD! our waiter Peter was constantly changing out our grill and asking us if we needed anything. It’s a great place to take to take family/friends that are visiting. 💕

Google
The staff is wonderful, and the owner Joyce is a sweetheart! My husband and I have ate at alot of Korean Restaurants and this is one of our favorites now. Theirs no limits on the meat, seasoning is great, and they have a great selection of side dishes. They're very quick with their food service and you can ask any waiter for help. This is one you have to try!! Be aware they're packed on the weekends but so worth the wait! Very authentic Korean Flavor! ❤️‍🔥

I recently visited a Korean BBQ restaurant that left a fantastic impression. From the moment you step inside, you notice how impeccably clean the place is. It’s cozy but not cramped, comfortably fitting around 40 people by my estimate. The ambiance is modern, hip and practical, although a bit of K-pop music and videos on the projector could have truly elevated the experience. The servers here are nothing short of amazing—polite, friendly, and impressively fast. They’re always available but never intrusive, providing you with a seamless dining experience. One of the standout features of this restaurant, which I’m still raving about, is the burner system. Equipped with smoke vacuums, these beauties ensure that you leave smelling like yourself and not like you’ve just grilled half a cow. Trust me, your clothes and hair will thank you! The side dishes were a delight—each one carefully seasoned to perfection, adding layers of flavor to the already superb meat selection. Speaking of which, the meat quality is top-notch, offering a range that caters to every taste. The eating rules are straightforward and well-communicated, ensuring that even BBQ novices can enjoy their meal without a hitch. Parking is spacious, making it stress-free to visit, and the restaurant is perfect for any occasion—whether it’s a romantic date night, a casual meal, or even a mukbang session. It’s kid-friendly, too, so families can enjoy the experience without a worry. In short, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back—and soon!

Google
We chose this spot for our final meal of 2024, and it exceeded all expectations. The quality of the meat they served for the all-you-can-eat (AYCE) option was absolutely astonishing—each cut was tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. To top it off, the service was exceptional, with our waiter being incredibly friendly, attentive, and making the whole experience even more enjoyable. This was truly a memorable way to close out the year, and we can’t wait to return!

Google
Overall, i would say they did well. Being a soft opening, they have room to improve for sure. The food was very good and there were lots of choices. The servers kept bringing the food to the table across from us. It did take over 25 minutes for us to get the meat to our table. Will try it again once they have had some time to work out the bugs in their system. The wait time was about 10 minutes, it was a very busy night.

Google
I have been here twice now, and both times, it was amazing. The owner did an amazing job with the setup and overall look of the restaurant. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the hostess. When seated, you have several sides already at the table. The menu has 2 categories, the premium and the classic. This is where you decide what meats you will choose from, but both are all you can eat. At the bottom, they have a wide variety of sides you can choose from, and all of them are really good. I brought my children the second time and they lived it as well. You are given a small piece of fat to season the cooking surface of the pan, so dont eat that part. All of the food is fresh, tastes amazing and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They even dry age their meat on site in special coolers.

Yelp
Best Korean BBQ in Tucson hands down Great quality, fun cocktails, attentive staff Always a great experience

Yelp
Normally not a fan of going home smelling like I was engulfed in the smoke of my dinner but for Korean food? Worth it even though the AYCE establishments always make money off me (I can never eat enough to say I left winning in terms of out-eating the restaurant). Ate dinner here with a friend on a Sunday night. There were some large birthday parties happening but we were able to be seated right away. We ordered the Classic, 3 meat choice menu and chose shrimp, pork belly, and thinly sliced short ribs. My shrimp was fine but my friend didn't find the meats flavored enough for her liking. I also ordered the Bulgogi Sot Bab. Why this is a side, not quite sure. It was basically a beef bowl which I guess could be more like a lunch entree. But it was delicious and both of our faves of our meal. The house tea is, of course, a hearty barley tea which is my favorite kind. We finished off our meal with it and the grilled cinnamon pineapple. The vibe is definitely festive and noisy. Great for big parties. On a Sunday, most of the businesses adjacent to it are closed so parking is not an issue. I know that AYCE generally don't offer to-go containers s but we had leftovers of one round of food and it was a shame and disappointment that we couldn't bring any of it home. Our kind and attentive server let us know that one day soon they will have to-go boxes hopefully for those instances, but for now, not an option. I would return here, definitely a value and great eats.

Jim S.

Yelp
Travelled across Tucson to try it out on a Sunday. There were 3 tables with people. They would not seat me because I was by myself. I could see it on a busy day or time but they had plenty of open seats. I have never had this problem ever.

Stephanie O.

Yelp
This place was so good! The wait was long but that is to be expected and was worth it. The service was good too, they changed the grill out every time we ordered more meat. I definitely recommend the cheesy corn, that was our favorite!

Alexiz A.

Yelp
Tried them out and so glad we did! The restaurant had a cool casual vibe to it. Lots of people there but there was no wait to get seated. We started off by ordering beef and made our way down to chicken/pork. My favorite was the Angus beef and spicy BBQ chicken. My son enjoyed the grill aspect of it and I loved how many sides also came with. Our server was great and overall we got plenty to eat while also trying something different! Fave sides were the kimchi rice and kimchi stew as well and the cheese corn. It's pricey but worth the money since we ate so much!

Seandean A.

Yelp
I've gone here with friends probably 10 times now so I feel confident in saying this is the best Korean BBQ in town. There is always a line but they cycle through people pretty quickly and I think the longest we ever waited was 25 minutes. They don't take reservations. They are located pretty nicely in central Tucson by the Tucson Mall so it's equally located for those in northern and eastern Tucson. Inside is clean, modern and loud. In the best way. Everyone is enjoying themselves and laughter is everywhere. Now, the food. It's a one price point tier experience there's the standard one and the premium. Me and my group only stay with the standard because everything we want is in that tier. We can even get Australian waygu which makes it perfect. I love the sides that come with the food! Not just the kimchi and bean sprouts sided they automatically bring out but the extended menu sides. My favorite is the kimchi soup. It can be shared but I get it for myself haha. I have previously enjoyed the other places in town that had provided the service prior to Kotu, but sometimes the offerings and the pricing just didn't match up to be the better experiences.

Erick D.

Yelp
I've wanted to try this place for a few months now, but couldn't get folks together to try it out and they were closed for a bit due to a car running into the restaurant. The space is pretty clean and has a lot of cool things like the vintage looking beer fridge. I thought the ventilation systems above the larger tables were pretty cool. The food was excellent and well prepared. The marinated meats had great flavor. Definitely a good Korean BBQ spot.

Jessica B.

Yelp
Overall, we had a good time here at Kotu. We did the classic menu which has a lot of options. They also had a special running for wagyu beef included in the classic menu at no additional charge, so we tried that as well. The food was tasty, except we didn't like the chicken very much. The chicken was a bit too fatty and grisly, which was very off-putting. The beef dishes and side dishes were very good, however. The atmosphere was a little stressful to both my husband and I. It's already very loud and noisy inside with the people and grilling, but they play very loud K-pop music on top of all of that. It was tough to hear each other talking along with the wait staff. Maybe we will try again when it's a bit quieter or has fewer people. We will definitely be back!

Jesse P.

Yelp
I visited on a very slow time and loved it! The ambience inside is nice and peaceful and all of the workers are very friendly. One that especially stood out to me was Peter! He went above and beyond to make sure my experience was great! And for that I give them a 5 star! They have so many yummy meats to try and I liked all of the ones I tried. The only one I didn't love was surprising the ribeye. But the rest were amazing and cooked nicely!! I will definitely be coming back! And I hope Peter will be there. He deserves a raise or a manager position.

Victoria T.

Yelp
Good service, everything came out timely and staff are very nice. Everything inside was clean and it's nice they have a more secluded area if needed for reservation. I love pork jowl and I was so happy to see it on the menu - it was delicious!! You have to really let it cook and crisp up so I recommend cooking it first. The kimchi soup and steamed egg were delicious. The corn cheese was okay, not bad but not great. The bulgogi however really upset my boyfriend's stomach. I'm not sure if we got a bad batch or what. He was the only one that wasn't feeling well and the only thing I didn't eat that he did was the bulgogi. Hoping it was just a fluke and nothing was spoiled. The rice was also consistently dry. I wish they also offered other banchan like the bean sprouts and potato salad. Considering everything, I don't know if it's worth the price. It's quite expensive in my opinion. There are other Korean bbq places in Phoenix that are cheaper and serve more than this. Excited to see another kbbq location in Tucson though! Excited to see them grow

Landy I.

Yelp
The food there is worth the price all you can eat, and the service are quickly. You don't have to deal with one server. It's all the servers there. It might be a little pricey, but it's worth it.

Belle V.

Yelp
Our first time here, and we didn't regret coming. We love Korean barbecue, and this place is amazingly good! They have Wagyu beef on their meat selection today. And they're not stingy with their portions of meat. One thing: their service is fast, and it was probably the owner who was helping us cut the meat for us. They really take care of their customers. I hope they will stay this way all the time. Their food is good, flavorful, and the meats are tender. I don't mind paying more for excellent service and quality food.

Cindy N.

Yelp
Went to the soft opening for Kotu last Friday. I am ecstatic to have a second all-you-can-eat Korean bbq place in Tucson. The meats were tasty, and I had the honor of meeting who I believe is the owner of Kotu, Ms. Yuha. She cooked our meats for us and shared with us that she is an LA Native who lived in Mesa then came to Tucson. The short rib and marinated short ribs are delicious. Excellent side dishes, including a cup of noodles with rice mixed with sauce. Service was excellent. It is spacious inside as well. Ms. Yuha was very kind. Definitely will be returning here!

Iyana J.

Yelp
Was in Tucson for my birthday this year and I decided I still wanted my all time fav KBBQ! Searched up the interwebs when we came across Kotu! Saw some items I've never heard of and items i was excited to try. The marinated meats are the most flavorful with the LA short ribs being the table favorite. The yogurt soju added the right amount "spice" to really elevate our dining experience. The menu was really packed with tons of options to meet everyone's tastes. The Staff was SUPER friendly. The environment was clean and before i could even ask we were getting our cooking plate swapped out. The bathrooms are very nice and clean. All in all we were all extremely happy with our experience and can't wait to come back again soon. Pro Tip: Don't over crowd the cooking plate and cover all the vent holes! 10/10 Highly Recommend

Yelp
I came here the first time and this place is officially one of my fav spot in Tucson. Service: great, fast and attentive service. They even help you cook the meat like any other legit Korean bbq spot so you can eat in peace Food: their meat quality is wayyyyy better than Taegukgi and their small dishes with side dishes also taste wayyyy better with higher quality. I love their kimchi tofu soup and cup ramen fried rice. Made to perfection. They also got my fav pork jowl. Restuarant itself is very well ventilated and not filled with smoke like taegukgi kbbq. Everything is clean and food is efficiently served. I am def returning here in near future. I wish I can give it 4.5 star

Ryn B.

Yelp
Warning: two person minimum. They won't let you eat by yourself. Insane. drove all the way up on lunch break for nothing. spare yourself.

Bill M.

Yelp
Went there on a whim while driving. I've been to Korean style restaurants and have even dated a Korean lady who was a fabulous cook. The place was incredibly clean and perfect temperature inside. The food was amazing and I had a choice of 4 meats in the option I chose. There are several options depending on Lunch or Dinner and also the size of your party. They brought out the uncooked meat/chicken very quickly and explained the table grill. You have a four hour window to have "All You Can Eat" and they bring you three meats/poultry/fish at a time which I liked so the food was fresh and ready to cook. This is a great Date Restaurant!

william z.

Yelp
This family owned business impressed me from the moment I walked in. I was quickly sat and offered the menu. I decided to go Premium and eat my hearts desires! The Cowboy Steak was my absolute favorite menu item off that menu, I mean how juicy is that steak?! I love bulgogi so I ordered pork and beef. The flavors of spiciness with the side sauces is a great combination! Make sure to try the Cup Ramen Bab side as well, the portions are huge so bring a friend (or 3).

Jessica W.

Yelp
Wow! Kotu is fantastic! It lives up to the hype! Ambiance- love the set up. Clean open and vented! Great for groups or even small tables. Can't emphasize enough how great the ceiling vent above each grill is. Food- great tasting meats with good flavors and good quality. The protein came out fast too. Love the sides including the radish paper and several different fried rices. Service- attentive and professional Truly a great kbbq experience and worth the price! Definitely would recommend!

Maiko K.

Yelp
Been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while and finally went! We selected premium and their meat quality was pretty good. Their side menu is pretty good as well but I wish they had lettuce and soy bean paste. I think I saw another review mentioning the lettuce so they should definitely consider adding it Our server wasn't that great and it was pretty obvious he didn't enjoy his job. But everyone else that came by the table to check on us were nice.

Moe G.

Yelp
I have been meaning to write a review for Kotu but have been troubling embodying my five start review. You'll just have to see for yourselves! Great selection, fantastic meat quality, and exceptional service by the manager Yuha (spelling?).

David K.

Yelp
Probably the best AYCE Korean BBQ in Tucson. The meat quality was surprisingly good. Will definitely go again.

Dahee K.

Yelp
The menu option is pretty decent, the price is fair. Service was a little slow but everyone was very kind. I thought there were some things that would improve the Korean bbq experience. The kimchi was okay, the flavor lacked a little. I was a bit disappointed when there was no Ssamjang - it was Chinese Chili sauce that was offered. I'm sure things will improve, as the restaurant just opened not too long ago. I hope that my next time dining, it will change my mind - over all 3 stars!

Mazy B.

Yelp
Very clean & new spot. Excellent service, quick & helpful. Meat sweats were had! The steak & bolgulgi are always my go to, but really liked the pork jowls too. Much more tender & less fatty than the pork belly. The bolgolgi fried rice was super good! Comes in a stone bowl & fries table-side - good flavor! All the sides & fixings are good Overall, a really good kbbq!

Yelp
Stop by to this newly open restaurant that is still in soft opening. It's easy to spot location in Biglots complex, so the parking is easy. We got there around 7.30 pm Sunday night, so it was not too busy. I saw some empty tables and a lot of servers walking by serving the guests, but no one stopped and said anything to us (group of 4), and there was another group of 2 coming right after us. We stand on the reception table for about 7 minutes until finally someone said hi and be right with you. Then another group of 2 came. We waited for another 4 minutes until someone else came and asked who came first. And how many, than she said, "ok, please wait, we'll prepare the table for you." It didn't take long until she came back and checked our son's height on the wall and took us to the seat. Once we sat, she explained the menu, and we chose the classic. We can order 3 meat and 3 sides at once, and then we can order more later. The food comes in a reasonable time. Not so many food choices, but enough for us and the taste are good. It just some menu names are unfamiliar for us. All in all, we are going home stuffed and satisfied.

Genevieve M.

Yelp
One of the best Korean bbq places I have been to. Excellent choices of meat cuts and such a delish side menu. I like the fact they offer half orders which allows you to try a lot more variety without wasting. Not a big meat fan? Those sides alone are meal worthy and filling in its own. The service is amazing and attentive each time I have been here. Clean, well lit and NOT Smokey (they have a good ventilation system).

Honey K.

Yelp
Tried this place since it's the closest one to us. Everything was great when we got there. Price is on the high side compared to the one we frequent to in Chandler and Mesa when we are in Phoenix. We are Korean BBQ regulars so this is not something new to us. The table was set with the little side dishes when we got there ( hopefully they add bean sprouts and potato salad soon ) The table couldn't contain all the plates and dishes when they arrived. It was tight. We had to place our meats on the top divider of the place to make it work. The plain meats were not the best quality and taste but we really enjoyed the marinated ones. I see some reviews here about napkins, we just ask and they gave us a whole wad of it. If you need more side dishes just ask and let them know you enjoyed it so much you would like a double order or triple. They will give it to you. Also ask for 2 sets of thongs so you don't contaminate your cooked food especially when ordering chicken and pork. Just to be on the safe side of getting sick. I did observe one thing and I hope the owner can address this. The one's cleaning the table and sweeping should not be allowed to touch the clean table and help setup with clean dishes. I don't know if that person washed his hands after handling the dirty dishes and the broom but I was intently watching the guy. It was pretty busy and he was hurried to clean another table. Also avoiding touching the plates where food goes and parts of the utensils that goes in mouth.

Robert C.

Yelp
I was excited about trying this place, but I've been by several times and they're never open. I came by today and they are open, but apparently they don't do solo dining so you have to have more than one person to sit and eat. I was extremely shocked and, not ever interested in trying to return again.

Leah B.

Yelp
I have been to Kotu quite a few times since they've opened and it is by far the best KBBQ in Tucson. They do so many things right- ESPECIALLY the meats. The meat is definitely the focal point of any KBBQ restaurant, and both the quality of the cuts and the quantity of each plate is worth the trip alone. Everything is perfectly marbled, nothing has ever been too fatty or too lean (specific to each cut, of course). Some of our favorites that we get each time are the rib fingers, jowl, and the short plate. The service has always been dependable and prompt. A few things to keep in mind however is that the sides can vary in their quality. For the most part they are amazing- especially the tukppoki, chicken gangjung, and braised beef short ribs. They all have great flavor and their recipes are amazing. However, sometimes they can be a little cold (particularly the fried rices and stews). Again- the flavor and quality are amazing! I would definitely recommend Kotu if you are in Tucson, the food, atmosphere, and staff are all well worth the experience.

Rebecca I.

Yelp
Honestly everything on the menu is delicious. A couple of the sides were new to me so I wasn't a huge fan of them but the meats are spiced perfectly. I really enjoyed the hot sides like the egg and the corn cheese. Would recommend the rib fingers for sure as well.

James M.

Yelp
This was one of, if not the best, Korean BBQ places that I have dined at. We had a party of (6), so we had a little bit of a wait, but not an unreasonable one due to the place being packed. Restaurant is brand new, so everything is nice and shiny- I was confused with the sinks in the bathroom, very high-tech, but was helped by a younger tech-savvy young man, so I figured it out. Our waiter was Peter, he was awesome and he kept the meat & food coming. We never had to wait, and our glasses stayed full. The side dishes & bonchon were delicious and complemented the main course, which is some of the best meat that I have tasted. I planned to focus on just the tasty meat, but it was hard The meat was some of the best that I have had, and that includes some very expensive steakhouses. The cost was around $50 per person for the Premium selections. We will be back for all special occasions in the future.

Dillon G.

Yelp
Had to try out this new Korean barbecue spot And I was not disappointed. Checked out the spa on Mother's Day and they were offering a special Wagyu beef, which was absolutely divine. The menu offered different levels of quality of meat cuts based on what the table wanted to sample given a total of two hours to enjoy the Korean barbecue experience with frequent refills, as requested the service was exceptional. It was busy on Mother's Day weekend, but we were able to get a table after a short wait. Highly recommend coming back. Very fun experience and great atmosphere!

Kim T.

Yelp
I would probably give it a 3.5 or 3.75, but the experience wasn't bad so I rather put 4 star than a 3 star. We did Premium which was $49, $10 more than the classic, (4 additional meat to choose from but max 1 per person for each meat). The meat was overall good-- wish the premium had a choice of marinated/not. They were all non-marinated which wasn't bad. It wasn't too crowded when we went and that was during lunch time (Sunday).Table was a bit small-- and they only allow 3 meat portion at a time and 3 sides. If you did 3 portion of brisket, that was it for meat or you can do 3 types of different meat. As mentioned, they weren't busy but they keep forgetting. I never got my rice, some stuff we had to request again. Friendly staff though, never rushed us out. Meat was tender but some of the marinated was just okay. Drinks are on the expensive side. A plus, for the smokeless grill, my hair and clothes didn't smell afterwards like those with vents on top of grill. Overall good experience.

Erika J.

Yelp
Poor ventilation, we could see a cloud of smoke and it smelled really burnt. The host was sarcastic and had really poor customer service. He asked how many people in our party. My husband said 4. He then asked why we were not counting our newborn. I responded she didn't need a chair. He laughed in a very disrespectful and sarcastic manner. He sat us and literally threw the menu at us and disappeared for 15 minutes. Nobody came to greet us or take drink orders. We were confused, as everyone around us was being served. We got up to leave and the host immediately came to us. We told him it was taking a bit too long. He again laughed in the same sarcastic way and proceeded to tell another server in a loud voice and make a scene saying we were not patient and were leaving because the service was too slow for us. We took our business to Churrasco de Brazil and it was the best experience/service ever. Unfortunately there's no way to give zero stars, so I have to give this business one star, which is way more than they deserve. Stay away from this place!!!

Philip S.

Yelp
The meat was low quality, service was slow, parking lot is a deathtrap, grill barely cooked.

LG G.

Yelp
We celebrated a friend's birthday at this establishment and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The service was exceptional, characterized by attentiveness and warmth. The cuisine was outstanding, and the atmosphere was notably free from the staleness and smoke often found in Korean restaurants, thanks to effective ceiling ventilation. The venue's cleanliness and food quality were both exemplary, making it a worthwhile choice.

Sean Z.

Yelp
Finally a good Korean bbq in town. The wait staff is super friendly, and they even come over to help cook for you. The meat is delicious, kimchi is home made, and they have a huge assortment of Korean sides for those that want to try. Soft opening for now. They mentioned about having a lunch service moving forward.

Dylan N.

Yelp
I randomly found this place on Instagram today so I decided to go because it's just recently opened. It's still in soft opening mode because the staffs still have to be trained. The inside of the restaurant was spacious, clean and welcoming. I have to say the meats here are so high quality, fresh, juicy and tender for an AYcE KBQ place. The owner happened to grill our meat, gave us suggestions on what to get and even cooked the side dishes for us in the kitchen. She told us the wagyu is a limited quantity since the restaurant only has 3 boxes per day. I just felt like a VIP today because of her (Choi). She is so friendly, attentive and kind. She told us a little story about where she is from and stuffs. I just love hearing it because she came from the state I was recently lived in. Overall, the service was phenomenal , food was excellent and I would definitely come back. Ps: She told us she might opens more restaurants in the future. ;)

Philip Y.

Yelp
As a new resident from LA , I decided to FINALLY check out Kotu on Oracle since I work out at nearby Chuze. Sadly , they have a TWO person minimum for "dining in" policy in place. I felt like I was New York City. The place wasn't overly busy either. I don't order out. I think this is a poor business model as many residents in Tucsons are transplants , retirees etc and like myself enjoy eating alone. As such , my experience is a 2 star only.

Eileen Q.

Yelp
We went for dinner on a Friday night, the parking was ample, greeted by the friendly owner's and got seated right away. The place packed up right away but the service was on point! We had lots of our favorite meats just like in SoCal - so yes, it's very comparable! And we have frequented many KBBQ places. This one is our new favorite in Tucson. Nice friendly vibe (unlike SoCal) they are very kind and hospitable here! Go!

Robert T.

Yelp
Place was very good, food was amazing and the staff were very attentive during the whole service. Will definitely go back again the next time I visit!

Nicole W.

Yelp
Came on Christmas evening. Place was busy. Servers were attentive and fast! Peter was our server and he was one of the best! The meat was delicious. We loved all of the marinated meats. The spicy marinated meats were so amazing especially the pork belly. Not at all too spicy just really flavorful. The restaurant was clean and decorated for the holidays. We were very impressed! Cannot wait to go back! On a side note we wished they had rice paper and lettuce. May have to bring our own next time. But truly everything was perfect!

Mary Ann L.

Yelp
Can we do 6 Stars!!!!! Even 10!!! Best K-Bbq place I've ever been. Will put Kbbq places in Phoenix to shame! Plus.. BEST SERVICE EVER!!! Friendly helpful.. just ready for your every needs!!! Wish I could go everyday. Driving for 2 hours to get down to Tucson for this is WORTH IT!!!

Veronica M.

Yelp
I love Kotu! I've been here a few times during their soft opening, but it looks like they're officially open with sleek new menus and new offerings! I the decor is pretty simple but it's always clean and has lots of seating. I like that the regular tables have the fan set in the table/grill, so you don't get that smoky smell in the air. Their menus are affordable for KBBQ and I love the variety of side dishes offered. Staff are always nice and service is always quick. Just be sure to come with an empty stomach, and be prepared to enjoy their variety of meats!

Yelp
If you are looking for a new Korean place to try in Tucson, go to this restaurant. I have went twice with my friends, and the food is yummy and filling. The waiters are kind and welcoming, and the wait hours are not too lengthy. For the aesthetic, the restaurant space is simple and spacious. Overall, I will come here again.

Yelp
This place was so good! I went here a couple weeks ago with a friend, and I would definitely recommend it for any Korean BBQ fans. The meats were really good, and so were the side options. Of course you get a lot of food considering it's all-you-can-eat for a couple hours. The staff was attentive too, so overall, no complaints from me!

Yelp
Okay soooo this place is so freaking good! & the one way you can tell from the this post that it was really good is by noticing i forgot to take pictures of the food! The staff is friendly, the price is good (for the quality of the meat), and it was very clean! We always do kbbq during lunch so that we can insure that we have all the meat selections and not miss out on anything because it ran out, which usually happens. There was a 10 minute wait, and we got seated super fast. Another thing that i really liked was the selection of sides. You must get the steam ribs - SOOOOO GOOD! Anyway come here!!!

Yelp
Tried Kotu for the first time. Always welcoming new asian eats in town! Staff was very friendly and they know korean food well! As we were trying out the place we ordered generously and tried everything. Gold authentic taste, a bit sweet on some of the marinades, but overall I am more a fan of unmarinated meats anyway (brisket 차돌 빼기, pork belly 삼겹살 and pork jowl 한정살) . Kimchi was well made and this is how I gauge my initial impression from any korean restaurant which is great. Buddaechiggae was ok - a bit on the salty side but still flavorful. Braised shorb rib was tender and I'm sure many people will enjoy it. Come with a group and try everything out and support local asian eats! The staff is a korean team from LA and I have high hopes!

Yelp
HOW TO GIVE 10/5 stars?!?! Coming back to this place 100%%%. Our group had such a fun time here. We opted for the premium option which seemed to all of us like a great deal. There was wagyu being served as an option because it was opening month (or week... or something along those lines). The owner of the restaurant came to chat with us, she helped us cook more food, and had some playful banter with us. We ended up tapping out right around the 2 hour mark, but she said we could stay as long as we wanted. Such a fun environment inside the restaurant. The service was also really good. Good service at an all-you-can-eat spot is a necessity because it dictates how much food you can order, and it was great here! The staff were constantly asking if we wanted to put in any other orders, refilling our sauces and waters, and changing our grills.
