The Best Fort Lauderdale Beach Restaurants - Miami - The Infatuation

"If you’re looking for a dining room casual enough to enter with sandy ankles, Kousine is what you want. The small Peruvian spot makes some of Fort Lauderdale’s best ceviche and Peruvian seafood. Those—not the meat dishes—are what you want to focus on here. They have a small dining room, but sit outside and you’ll be able to see the ocean while you eat very tasty things that used to swim in that ocean." - ryan pfeffer

The food quality was fantastic. Everything was so fresh. I’m still dreaming about those boa buns. I can’t wait to try more of the menu. Sitting outside with my dog was very pleasant and people watching the outfits that go in and out of chipotle is hilarious. Place probably doesn’t get enough credit for the people watching opportunity in this plaza. 😂 as Arnold Schwarzenegger said one time I’ll be back

Google
I really enjoyed the ceviche—it was very delicious and fresh, though I felt the portion was a bit small for the $20 lunch price. I also had the pulpo (octopus), which was excellent—great portion size and packed with flavor I didn’t even know I was missing! The music was a little loud for lunchtime, especially since the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time, but the service made up for it. My server was super friendly and welcoming. Overall, I’ll definitely keep coming back—the food is consistently flavorful and worth it. Just to note: the quality of food has been this good since the day they open. Two other ceviche restaurants opened in this area, but were never able to survive. Keep it up 😀

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Google
The worst Peruvian restaurant ever !!! First. I ordered ceviche clásico. Menu said ají limo , The ceviche arrived. Taste like fish and water. I see the plate and looks weird and I ask the server what happen with the aji limo the menu said ceviche clásico with ají limo. And the server said ohh the owner forget to buy yesterday but here is Mexican aji. Habanero if you want, really but Peruvian ceviche it’s not with habanero the chef is from Guatemala. Also server said it’s not beer. Owner forget to buy the beer yesterday. I wonder where and who is the owner of this restaurant. Can’t believe using the Peruvian cuisine to bring customer and lie to everyone. Also I ordered anticuchos. No ají colorado sauce at all just sal and pepper. Please here are the pics from tonight. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here if you want to eat Peruvian restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic menu with incredible drinks and food. The lomo saltado was so juicy and flavorful, the ceviche was fresh with exciting flavors as was the shrimp and quinoa salad. Highly highly recommend, I’ll be back!

My husband and I had a craving for Peruvian food yesterday, so we decided to try this place out. We were so happy we did because the service, drinks, food and the dessert were great!! We ordered the Ceviche mixto, Jalea, Picarones and for drinks Paraiso peruano and pisco sour. Needless to say we really loved it! We'll def. be coming back to try more.

Google
We ordered takeout from Kousine, and it was pretty good, better than what I expected. We ordered their ceviche mixto, lomo saltado, arroz con mariscos. The ceviche was fantastic, like what we had ate in Peru. The paella was a 7.5/10, with less flavor, but not bad at all, and the lomo saltado, with overcooked beef, under cooked veggies, but a great sauce and fries that soaked up the sauce well.

Google
This is the best Peruvian ceviche in Boca hands down. The aji de gallina was fantastic, probably also the best I’ve ever had. The servers were great as well . 10/10 cannot wait to come back and try more.

Yelp
Coming off a cruise where we dined on cuisine from some of the best chefs in the world (Anne Burrell, Robert Irvine, Maneet Chauhan, etc.), my wife and I stopped in here passing through Boca Raton along A1A. Based on outward appearances... a store front in a strip mall... we weren't expecting much. Surprise, however, doesn't begin to describe our experience. Not being familiar with Peruvian cuisine, we took a bit of time with the menu. Seafood isn't something I would generally associate with Peru, but there were plenty of those options available, as well as more traditional South American items. Ultimately, we settled on sharing a trio of plates. First up: Salmon Tostones. A cross between two familiar items - salmon toast, but served on smashed, friend plantains that were a perfect mesh of crisp and hearty. This plate alone was a meal unto itself. But, undaunted, we dove into item #2: what can only be described as the best pair of Empanadas we've ever had (and we ate Aaron Sanchez's empanadas on the foodie cruise). Full of perfectly spiced, meaty filling. Simply to die for. I'd fly back to Miami and dodge your horrible traffic just for another round of these. And finally, I had to try something authentic and original Peru, so I saked the server for a recommendation. And she didn't disappoint. Tallerines Verdes, a mix of beef simmered in spicy chiles (think Chili Colorado, but with much more depth of falvor), potatoes in a hollandaise-like yellow sauce (subtle and creamy), and a thick spaghetti-like pasta in a pesto-like green sauce. The combination was unfamiliar, but delicious. I had to eat the whole thing - no leftovers for me, thank you very much! We'd have loved to try one of their desserts, but frankly we were gorged on such amazing cuisine. We wouldn't have known where to put it. Top all this off with friendly service, a family-table like atmosphere, and this little gem hidden amongst the palms is worth the time and the drive. We may never be back again, but if we lived nearby, we would be regulars.

Yelp
From the photos and in person, the restaurant is beautiful. It is modern, sleek, and full of potential. You walk in feeling like you are about to go on a memorable culinary journey. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the aesthetics. Starting with something small, I ordered a ginger ale and what came out tasted like flavored water. I sent it back, and the server returned to let me know the soda machine was out of syrup. The second one was fine, but it set the tone for the overall service, which was minimal and inconsistent. We had to flag someone down each time we needed anything. There were no regular check-ins or effort to stay engaged with the table. As for the food, it just did not deliver. The bao buns were flavorful, but the pork was way too fatty. My salmon entree was nicely presented, but it was just a small block of fish over a bed of quinoa that was pretty average in taste. For the price and portion size, it felt underwhelming. One of our appetizers also looked beautiful but lacked any depth of flavor. It is clear that presentation is a priority here, but unfortunately, the flavor does not match up. The biggest issue for us, though, was the mosquito zapper. Throughout our meal, we kept hearing a loud zapping noise coming from behind the bar. At first, we thought it might be a grill or something intentional. Then we realized they were actively zapping flies while guests were dining. It kept happening over and over, and it really disrupted the mood. It was hard to ignore, and honestly, it made us question why there were so many flies in the first place. At the end of the day, this restaurant is simply not our taste. While it is visually impressive, the food, service, and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. It is highly unlikely that we will be back.

Yelp
Beautiful venue. Walking in and seeing the decor sets high expectations. Service Friendly, but very hands-off. Food -- disappointing The fries were the highlight of the meal. BBQ Pork Bao Buns Uneven portions of pork in each bun. The sauce was fine but overwhelmingly salty. Jala - Three Seafood Appetizer Under-seasoned. The fried fish was better than the rest, but still bland--just needed a touch of salt. Salmon with Quinoa The salmon was cooked well, but the seasoning was off. The quinoa in particular was unpleasant when served hot--oddly enough, it tasted better cold. Each bite became less enjoyable. Prices -- expensive for what you get * $28 for the salmon and quinoa * $38 for the seafood trio, which I initially thought was an appetizer The total came to $100 for three dishes and two drinks. Most off-putting part The staff repeatedly used an electric mosquito zapper behind the bar and near the kitchen/bathroom. The first couple zaps were easy to ignore, but it quickly became unsettling. After a while, I found myself questioning if the black specks on my plate were seasoning... or something else.

Yelp
First off: what is Peruvian/Asian Fusion? I couldn't see the connection from the menu. We were there a bit after lunch. 4-5 tables active. We were promptly seated. Tried to order a chicken dish; they were out. So we stuck with orders of beef Empanadas with a side of fries. It took forever for the food to arrive. Not sure why, but it looked like only one waiter was handling every table. Fries were nicely done. Empanadas, not so much--over oily, filling was diced beef in a brown/grey sauce. Slow to get our check. (Not surprised with one waiter on the floor). In summary: Didn't get the Peru/Asian connection, slow service, so-so food. Hard pass.

Yelp
Stopped by on our last day in town. The service was great and the food is beautiful and delicious.

Yelp
I had the Ají de Gallina and as some who as eaten peruvian food since i was very little (i am Peruvian), it wasn't very good. I personally will not be ordering it again.

Yelp
Great restaurant tucked into the plaza on the southeast corner of 20th St & Federal Hwy. The food is so fresh and delicious. Explosion of vibrant flavors in your mouth. Every meal I have had here has been excellent. The ceviche is amazing, their rice dishes with seafood are outstanding, and there's steak which you can never go wrong with! The service is wonderful and the restaurant is really cute inside. Plus, they have a great lunch menu.

Yelp
Absolutely our favorite restaurant in Boca. Everything we have ordered here is fresh, delicious and full of flavors. Everyone works here is very friendly, restaurant itself is colorful and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Absolutely awful. Lomo saltado was inedible. 5 small pieces of steak. Uncutable . Sent back. Ordered empanadas - fair. Check came and we were charged separately for small bowl of white rice and side of bananas. Tagged onto the original order. Also menu was $24 and waiter charged $27 What's happened? Used to be good.

Yelp
I eat Peruvian food all the time. My wife is from Arequipa and I've tried maybe 30 restaurants between New York and Florida. My son (11) also eats it often and has a mature palate. That being said we had an amazing time just finding this place and having dinner on a Saturday evening before leaving Boca for Miami, where we live. We started with the corn tamal with chicken, it was corny, tasty, and had olives inside. That and the salsa criolla made this dish on point and authentic. My wife's aunt makes this similarly. I had the tallarines verdes, or Peruvian pesto, served with lomo saltado sans rice and French fries, and papa Huacaina. This was all in one plate and it was perfect. Maybe the pasta was slightly overcooked but the taste was on point. I highly recommend this. My son had the child's portion of fried rice with chicken. It was delicious, so flavorful and with lots of chicken. My wife ordered the pan con chicharrón which was tasty, but we both agreed that it was dry. The chicharrón was prepared like large chunks of deep fried chicharrón instead of crisp on one end and tender throughout. There wasn't enough salsa criolla on the sandwich, lending to dryness, and further contributing to dryness is that the sweet potato was fried instead of boiled and sliced. In all, the sandwich with lots of rocoto mayo was tasty but Kousine could take a tip from J28, which has the utmost best pan con chicharrón. I had to eat the second half and we shared so it wasn't too big of a deal. I would definitely go back for my own order and both my family members would do the same. I want to give them another try and maybe try other dishes as appetizers.

Yelp
The atmosphere is beautiful and calm. We really liked that it was close to our hotel, although we aren't from the area we could tell we weren't dress for dinner. My husband and I ordered the tallarin verde with steak and papa la huancaina sauce, for the price of the food I don't believe it's worth it. The meat was a little bland, and they give you 4 pieces of meat each plate. We ordered the Lomo Saltado to go and again it was bland, maybe some salt and vinegar would definitely help. My family is Peruvian so we do rate the food as if it is truly authentic. Our waiter was nice and patient with us. But overall we spent $135 before tip and it just wasn't worth that much. I did love the plates the used. Very unique!

Yelp
Food was fine. I loved the interior. Its a decent place to stop if you are in the area

Yelp
We ordered 2 ceviche "to go" NOT SPICY...(says it on our receipt)...We get it home, start to eat and our mouth's are on fire!!! Had to throw them away because we both have stomach issues and cannot tolerate spicy. I called the restaurant asap and man who answered stated "there was no manager on duty and no one would be there for a couple of weeks", he took my name/# and said "maybe someone will call you". Needless to say no one called me so I found different links to contact the business and wrote 3 additional messages and providing my receipt asking for a refund. Not until the 4th message did I receive a response saying he was a "partner" and copied my message with the chef and to get in contact with me with what went wrong. STILL WAITING..................No one has contacted me and our hard earned money went down the drain!

Kathi B.

Yelp
This was our first visit. Very comfortable atmosphere, not too noisy and more understated than most of the better restaurants in Boca. We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
The inside of this restaurant is very spacious and cute! I loved seeing the paintings on the wall and the hanging greenery. We went on a Friday afternoon so there weren't many people. There was plenty of inside and outside seating. Service was great! Our orders were taken and came out very quickly. We got Pisco Sours because you can never go wrong with those! We wanted to keep lunch light so we decided on two ceviche dishes. Ceviche Clasico was your staple dish with the usual lime juice. The Ceviche Kousine had a spin on it with a yellow pepper sauce and tuna which kind of reminded me of a poke bowl since it also had avocado. They were both delicious!

Yelp
DELICIOUS !!! I go here often and highly recommend the empanadas !! The ceviche is delicious as well, the staff is super friendly and it's a cute vibe inside the restaurant. Love that they give the Peruvian corn as a snack too. The happy hour deals are also amazing and the purple reign drink was phenomenal! Highly recommend this place if you like Peruvian food. The aji de gallina is also amazing!

Yelp
This review is for a delivery made by GRUBHUB, the delivery service used by KOUSINE. this is a review of the food, and not the delivery service. Got it? LA CAUSA @$24 was delicious. I would definitely order this again and highly recommend it. The portion size was acceptable. The BEEF EMPANADAS were the most unusual with large chunks of beef in a wonderful sauce. They were filled with much generous amount of beef and prices @13 for one portion of two empanadas. The FRIED YUCCA was delicious but was a big disappointment at the price point for the number served. FIVE (5) fried yucca pieces @12. Was a rip-off. Maybe someone in the kitchen made a mistake. I would not order them again based on this price and quantity. The side CHAUFA FRIED RICE was delicious and a decent portion @7. Not alot, but it was only $7! Utensils were not provided although I requested and it is noted on the check. Would I re-order thru GRUBHUB? yes. So impressed with the wonderful tastes and smells of this unique Peruvian Asian restaurant that I plan to eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant soon.

Yelp
This is a GREAT place if you are in the mood for some Ceviche. We came on a Saturday around 7:30pm. Wasn't too crowded and there were 3 server, 3 kitchen cooks and 1 busser. The pros: EVERYTHING was Delicious! I mean everything. The appetizers, the main dishes , and the drinks. All was well made and presentable. The place is clean and the decor was cozy and cute. My 9 year old is a picky eater and he LOVED the kids chicken fried rice. He said it was the best he'd ever had and wanted a separate order to take home. We ordered the La Copa (delicious), Ceviche Mixto (delicious), Chicken Tamal (I don't like Tamales but this was good), Chicken Fried Rice (Amazing), Kam Lu Wonton (delicious but I don't think worth $32). For drinks, we had the Pisco Sour and it was good. All workers were super friendly and nice. Cons: the service was super slow. Took us about a good 10 mins to get our drinks in and about 10 to get our drinks. Maybe cause we had hungry kids so it made the waiting time felt longer. At the end, asking for to go containers and the check was even a slow process. Please give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Love this restaurant!! We've been to Peru and we love the food. The food here is fabulous, the service was excellent. Our server was a lovely woman from Peru. The restaurant was spotless and we'll be back.

Yelp
Very good Peruvian food with an amazing staff and beautiful ambiance. Went on a Tuesday at 6:30 pm and the restaurant was empty. Unfortunately they also had no working AC but it wasn't too bad inside. Our server was super nice and friendly. We started with a couple drinks. My pisco drink was refreshing and my MIL enjoyed her margarita. Our food came. Out piping hot and fresh, very quickly from the ktichen. Our appetizers were the La Copa and Anticuchos. The gigantic goblet of grouper, shrimp and calamari in rocoto pepper Leche de Tigre was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. It's topped with fried calamari lightly seasoned and breaded. The anticuchos was tender and smokey. The aioli on the corn was delicious. The Arroz con Mariscos was flavorful and had plenty of shrimp, mussels, calamari served with Criolla sauce. The Lomito Truffle Risotto was my favorite. The tangy stir fried beef over truffle creamy risotto complimented each other very well. The Arroz con pato was a bit rich for me but the duck leg was crispy. A little on the dry side but flavors were good. We ended the dinner with two desserts. The one we wanted was passionfruit cheesecake which unfortunately they didn't have. The lucuma mousse chocolate was delightful though. The Peruvian chocolate cake was a little too sweet and rich for me but still decadent and good. Will be back again!

Yelp
We had originally planned a visit here several weeks ago but got caught up in a live music show and didn't come, so tonight was the night. Kousine isn't hard to find and once you get here, the bright blue signage will make sure you know you're in the right place! There's plenty of seating inside and out, with booths or tables available, but in typical Latin American fashion no one is in a hurry and we stood waiting for a few minutes to get seated. A complimentary bowl of salted cancha (Peruvian corn nuts) got us pretty thirsty but their cocktail prices are high, and we were going out after, so both of us stuck to 1 beer at dinner. I had seen photos of La Copa and knew I wanted it before we arrived and I was not disappointed! A veritable mountain of perfectly tender golden brown, fried calamari rings, sitting on top of a goblet full of ceviche. Chunks of grouper, shrimp, and calamari with boiled corn in a rocoto pepper Leche de Tigre sauce. Spicy, tangy, fresh, and delicious. Enough for leftovers. Speaking of leftovers, even with my help the lovely Spensyr could not finish her Arroz Con Mariscos! A huge serving of Peruvian style paella, with calamari rings, shrimp, mussels, and a wonderful Criollz sauce, topped with a whole giant prawn! Neither of us had room for dessert but they looked amazing as they were ordered by other diners nearby.

Yelp
Fantastic service that is available in English or Spanish. The door is very maritime and elegant. This place would be great for any date night or special occasion. The ceviche is as impeccable as when I had it last year. This year I opted to take advantage of their buy one, get one 50% off on cevcihes (Tuesdays only) since I jad recalled enjoying it so much. They are a bargain at full price and with the discount, it is a downright steal. The ceviches are always perfectly presented and have nice lettuce cups, Peruvian corn, hominy, thinly sliced red onions, sweet potato, etc. depending on which one you order. They are also available spicy or not. I always choose the spicy and it is a delight. It is not mouth-searing, but just a little touch of heat to let you know it is there. Every year I come back to Boca Raton for the SEICCGTC, I always make this place a stop and am never disappointed.

Yelp
Get the beef empanadas and ceviche. Very fresh! Great Happy Hour. Recommend the La Victoria or Pisco Sour for drinks. Friendly service.

Yelp
Relaxing atmosphere, imaginative food and excellent service. We got ceviche, wantan soup and fried yuca, huge portions.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised at how really good this place is. It's a Peruvian Asian fusion, sooooo freakin good. The restaurant is really cute. In a weird spot of Boca, but the location works there's plenty of parking. The service is really great. The servers were really nice and gave great suggestions. The overall experience was great. Now the food! My son ordered the Aji de Gallina. It's shredded chicken with rice and like a yellow cheese sauce. It's so good. I might be butchering that description but that's how it tasted and he loved it 10/10. I got the Tallarines Verdes whcih is a pesto sauce pasta and the meat is stir fried with soy sauce. Omg so good. If you want a hearty meal, this is it. We had plenty of leftovers which means the portion sizes are great. We also ordered some appetizers. All delicious. There's a full bar as well. This is a great date night spot or even just a night out with the family. Loved this place will definitely come back!

Yelp
I still want to try so many other things here but I kept coming back for the catch of the day ceviche add calamari! The calamari is so crispy and fresh and pairs so well with the ceviche the lime soup and the delicious additions. I had to come back because before I ordered take out but wanted to try it all fresh. I also had not had Peruvian ceviche which is a bit different than what I'm used to. Think bigger chunks of fish, in a yummy boat of lime, onion and inka corn, bit hominy style and crunchy small corns. It was all so different I highly recommend trying but don't forget you don't really scoop up the fish with anything, just a spoon. It went so well with a nice sauvignon blanc and can't wait to try the Peruvian style paella. Also the service was amazing! Everyone was so nice and kind, service was amazing. Definitely worth a try!

Yelp
We sat outside tonight and enjoyed every bite of our food at Kousine in Boca Raton! Our server, Adriana, was attentive and gracious. She helped us pick a few things when we told her we wanted to focus on seafood dishes. I started with a Pisco Sour and it was foamy and fresh and delicious without being overly sweet, and my friend had a passion fruit juice. We started with the Leche de Tigre Mixta and also had the Peruvian paella which was so pretty on the plate - flavorful and warm and the rice was creamy and filled with seafood and veggies. We finished with the chocolate cake which was moist and the caramel flavors mixed with the chocolate perfectly. This place serves amazing food that rivals fine dining, I'm so happy we got to eat here!

Yelp
Excellent food! Kousine squeezed us in on Valentine's Day. The food was really good! Seafood was very fresh and delicious. Service and atmosphere were good. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
A Peruvian restaurant in Boca, yes please. Went on a Saturday evening for date night. Service was great, very attentive waitstaff, and not to busy. They offer booths, tables, you can eat at the bar, or even outside. Lots of seating available. The decor is hipster, but fancy at the same time. Food is delicious! Love the food presentation here, very appealing to the eye. This is a great restaurant to come to try Peruvian cuisine. Starting with the traditional corn nuts (warmed) upon seating down. Ceviche, lomo Saltado, picarones, and yummy pisco sour are all offered here for some traditional Peruvian dishes. And if you are interested in learning how to cook Peruvian food, they offer cooking courses here - how cool?!

Yelp
This was my first time trying ceviche/Peruvian food, and I can safely say I'll be back for more! The interior is beautifully done and made for a great girl's dinner for us to try something new. We started with La Causa, the salmon tostones and Papa a la Huancaina, all very tasty but I have to say the tostones were my favorite of the bunch! I got the Ceviche Kousine and will be coming back for it again! For dessert we got the passion fruit cheesecake which was DIVINE. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions very well, they were very patient with us first timers!

Yelp
Met my friend here for a quick lunch as she raved about this place for days. However she was not wrong as the food was authentic and fresh. Inside the restaurant it is very quaint and provides a welcoming environment. The service was great and I just can't say enough about how delicious the food was and great portion sizes.

Yelp
My wife and I visited this establishment and thought the aesthetics were very pleasing. The service was good, they were very quick to attend to our needs and take our order. They also gave us our drinks fast. The food is a fusion of Asian and peruvian food. I think we really had high expectations that weren't meant just because we are used to eating Authentic Peruvian dishes.

Samantha S.

Yelp
Everything was amazing and large portions. Perfect to share a couple things so can have a variety of options! The ceviche was out of this world!
google avatar

Stefan H.

Yelp
Brought my Dad here for lunch. Was only able to order from the dinner menu, as I had a Groupon. The dinner menu is pricey, especially for what you get! Presentation is great, and the food reasonably tasty, but protein was hard to find in all 3 dishes ordered. Plenty of rice or masa, but scant seafood, pork, or chicken. Maybe because I had a Groupon? Service was adequate. They have a lunch special which looks to provide better value, and I will definitely be back to check it out!

Yelp
YESSSS! Please try Kousine, amazing Peruvian cuisine, Nicely decorated inside and very comfortable. Great drinks with entertaining names We had two appetizers, they are our go to item on most menus. First, we love ceviche done anyway, but this place has taken it to another level!!! We got Ceviche Trio, shut the front door FABULOUS! All three were great, the ceviche kousine is the best mix of Asian/Peruvian you could only dream of. The other outstanding dish we got was Pulpo Saltado, if you come here and don't order this, you will be missing out! Great flavors and sauce, thank goodness they gave us a spoon! We'll be back. Thank you!

Yelp

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Thoroughly impressed! if you want some Authentic, well portioned and Visually appealing Peruvian food with a dash of Chinese influence - the search is over! I came on a Saturday around 4pm with a friend. It started off pretty empty but by 530 the evening rush started and the tables were almost full There are no outside seating but the inside has plenty of full table seating along with an inside bar and is pet friendly since I saw a small dog at a booth. This is a Peruvian Asian Cuisine - the Asian being Chinese. They have fried rice and wonton soup on the menu which isn't very common for most regular Peruvian restaurants! We got Pisco based drinks to start with- pisco is Perus signature alcohol that is clear in color similar to vodka. We got the Holy Moly Pisco Sour and a Sunrise Blvd. Each of their cocktails seem to be served in different cute presentations. The Sunrise was served in a tropical festive Flamingo floaty (so cute!) ! The Holy Moly Pisco Sour is served in a more serious but creative stone looking cup. I looked over to the table next to us and their cocktail was served in a fish themed mug! Not only so fun but also delicious tasting drinks! If you like sweet I recommend the Sunrise Blvd. For food we got the Lomo Saltado with Tacu Tacu and the classic fish ceviche. Both were awesome. I got some extra hot sauce "picante" for the ceviche and it is spicyyyyy just the way I like it and dilute it in the lime juice. The beef used for the Lomo is sooooo tender. I highly recommend both dishes. It's a great place for a date night. Their plates are beautifully plated and have great portions! Peruvian restaurants are typically on the more expensive side with plates being $20+ and Kousine is comparable to those as well. I will definitely be returning WITH my Peruvian-Chinese family. They will be throughly impressed. Everything was delicious!!

Yelp
The food is decent, but the service is terrible -- I found this to be the case both times I have dined here. The complimentary Peruvian corn is delicious. The Ceviche Pulpo al Olivo and Ceviche Kousine are my favorite ceviches. I was not a fan of the Leche de Tigre Mixta ceviche. The Ensalada Kousine was good, but could have had a little more tuna. The Parihuela is flavorful and filled with lots of seafood.

Yelp
I can't rave about this place more, the food was truly incredible and the servers were the nicest people, making sure we were taken care of

Yelp
Pretty good Ceviche joint. Came here for HH alone. Good drink options. Tried the daily ceviche and it was grouper and delicious. Fried Yuca dish was uhm okay. Fried Calamari was meh. Cold chopped mussel was so so. Stick with ceviche I guess!

Yelp
La copa was great, forgot to take a before picture but it came with +15 fried calamaries and ton of ceviche. I had to take half of it to go! I also got a size of rice and the combination was delicious.

Yelp
This was my second time at this restaurant, I came for lunch and wow the food is great. Come out quick and taste very fresh. I love their ceviche. The vibe is chill and never too busy when I visit but I would never have thought to eat lunch here until my girlfriend asked me one day. Great place just weird location for a good restaurant. Must try for Boca Raton location

Yelp
Loved this place! The atmosphere was mellow, the staff was super nice, we had a big party of 9 and they were able to accommodate a table for us without a long wait. They greeted us with some free canchita (Peruvian corn) then we order yuca, and calamari as appetizers, they were fresh and warm the onions were freshly made. Not a lot of Peruvian restaurants have home made dishes and I was surprised to see they had Aji de Gallina. It really brought me back home, it felt like I was eating at my grandmas house, it was so good!!! We also order Lomo, and Seco all orders were very well portioned, the plates were huge, & super pretty too. We had chicha pitchers that were super refreshing, for desert we order ice cream and cake. I made a specially request for the ice cream to have candles and the waitress definitely delivered everything on time. At the end of our meal we wanted to take some pictures to send back home for rest of the family that couldn't be with us. I don't if it was the manager but she was super nice and took the pictures for us. She was super nice and thank us before leaving. This was definitely a very welcoming experience and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Kousine is probably my least favorite type of restaurant. Great decor, good service, awesome menu concept, and comfortable seating are all present, but culinary execution is lacking in the most disappointing of ways. Classic ceviche with added fried calamari (nice) tasted good, but was definitely not prepared at a "medium" spice level as requested. Inconsistent fish chunk sizes made the dish somewhat difficult to eat. Our entrees were one-note (Aji de Gallina) and under-reduced and watery (Kam Lu Wantan). Portion sizes varied as I'm pretty sure somebody would pass out if they ar the whole Aji de Gallina and would still be hungry after the Kam Lu. I honestly feel that trimming the menu and focusing on the rockstar dishes for the kitchen staff would improve the culinary experience. Drinks looked fun and festive but we were unable to drink this evening. Great decor with comfortable seating, a reiteration of solid service with plenty of staff, and good noise level for conversation. Value without drinks would be good if the food tasted better. Poor execution of a great concept bothers me to my core. I don't think we would come back for the food, but maybe to try drinks with friends. 3/5

Yelp
This is probably the best Peruvian restaurant I've been to. The food is definitely high quality and the service is outstanding. There are 2 locations but this Boca one has a full bar. And let me tell you. The drinks here are very good and the presentation is on point. Speaking of presentation, the food is also beautifully prepared. Kousine really takes Prevuvian to another level. There are too many to mention but my faves are the lomo saltado, jalea, causa, tiradito, and the lamb shank just to name a few. The flavors are amazing and each dish is made with love. I can guarantee you, once you tried one dish, you will end up ordering more items. How about the desserts? OMG. Not only they're pretty but truly decadent. I love the Suspiro Limeno and Lucuma Mousse. Flavor explosion! If you love Peruvian food, I highly recommend this place. It's casual but it rivals any high-end restaurant. I live 40 minutes away from here but I will keep coming back for more!

Yelp
Officially obsessed with this Peruvian restaurant! If only I lived closer, I'd be here everyday. First off, the place is so beautifully decorated! Love the style. The service is on point and the food is phenomenal. My favorite dishes were the ceviche trio, the tallarin verde, the tamale, the tiradito, the pulpo, well basically everything was a hit in my book.
