Me & my daughter have been coming here for years since 1993 & now my granddaughter is coming with us too! We really enjoy the #2 with crunchy noodles & she really enjoy the #3 & the whole staff is like family always a pleasure to seat us & to service us & always at 100+ percent! Thank you so very much for all of the great food & all of the good times & memories. This review was released 3 years ago. REVIEW, "May 1, 2025" Me & my daughter came today to have an early lunch we were the first ones here because they open at 11 am & the food is really fresh at that time 🤤 so you can't go wrong. We got the #2 dinner/s because it has everything we really love one was with soft noodles & the other one was with crunchy noodles & our drinks. Plus we got a side order of fried shrimp 🍤 5 altogether in the order. Please don't forget the 🍒Cherry flavor sweet sauce for dipping or just pouring over your food & the Hot Mustard (it's really hot)! 🥵 🔥. Thank You & ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s. Great Job to our servicer & to everyone else in the kitchen.

When we asked them if they could make some dishes gluten free, they were happy to do it! They understood that even soy sauce and oyster sauce have gluten and made me an order of Almond Chicken and Fried Rice without it! I was able to bring it home and add my own Tamari Sauce. It was so wonderful to FINALLY find a restaurant that was willing and able to accommodate my need to stay away from gluten. I'm so happy!

This place was good! Kinda a hole in the wall place that you would like the food but not so much the building. Food WAS great and came out quick. Huge selection of food. Service was great too. One of my new go to places now. Try it out! Pot stickers were the best!

Definitely recommended! Two of us went to this restaurant, ordered two dinner sets, but the food would be enough for 3/4 people. We took the full lunches we still had home, to take away. The food was served very quickly, it was fresh, hot and carefully served. The service was very helpful and polite. Ask for the recommended beef! We ordered two varieties, both were delicious! For such a set, in addition to your favorite meat, you will receive apettizer, rice or pasta, a large portion of saturated soup and a fortune cookie for dessert. The restaurant looks inconspicuous, but is definitely worth a recommendation. I’m very pleased.

Kowloon is as authentic as its namesake. Highly recommend the honey walnut shrimp and pork fried rice! My friends ordered the beef and broccoli and cashew chicken and they loved it. The service was also exceptional and everyone was so friendly even though we were a large party :)

This is genuine Hong Kong style cuisine. From outside it doesn't look like much, but the food is the best. Kow Loon is a famous district with a lot of great restaurants in Hong Kong.

The best Chinese food in Visalia! Being from the Bay and having a Chinese wife I can definitely say I know Chinese food, and this is it!

For over 35 years we have been coming here and I do not believe the prices have gone up much. Food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are amazing and cater to all your needs. They do not let a cup get empty. We stop in here every time we drive by from Vegas. Great job keeping the place as a tradition by keeping prices low and food fresh. A must stop if you have never been here

The staff is very kind and provides good customer service. Meals are good size portions with savory flavors. Chinese food is authentic & well prepared. I've always had good experiences ordering take out.

Takeout order. The wor wonton soup is very bad. Almost no liquid, and the wontons had a very unpleasant taste, (maybe the filling wasn't fresh?). What little liquid they provided tasted almost like hot tap water.

This is one of our family favorite places for dinner great service the food portion are great to feed big families like ours price point is great service is excellent very nice people highly recommended

Customer service was great.... Food not so great. We got the beef and broccoli on sizzling plate and it tasted as if it was precooked, microwaved and put on a hot skillet. We got the dinner plate # 2 and honestly could barely take a bite of any of it... worst Chinese food I can recall having... Panda Express tastes better

We went for dinner. The place doesn't look like much but it was reasonably priced and very good! The wait staff was friendly and efficient. I will definitely revisit.

Food is fast and easy to get. Noodles are not that great. But the stir fry was good. Price is average for area Chinese restaurants in the area.

Food was outstanding. They came out fresh and hot. Flavors were on point. Great portions. Service was excellent. She was so nice. Very helpful and happy. My wife loves this place. In our opinion one of the best Chinese food we have had. We would definitely be back.

When i ordered take out i found bugs and roaches in my rice and chow mein it happened a while ago so didn't take a picture but I've spoken to other people and they have had similar experiences with finding roaches in their establishment dont eat here

When the time came today for something to eat , I was out-vetoed on tacos. What can I say you can never go wrong with really good Mexican food ! Chinese it was. My wife called to place our order and asked what type of specials they had. The person on the phone said there were no combo specials and anything on the menu was available for order. She asked for the mandarin chicken and rice and they told her that mandarin chicken was unable to be ordered. Allright so much for anything on the menu. Then they told her that it had to be ordered in a quart. That's cool fam don't you know how much I eat? My wife asked what type of combo plates they had and they informed her a " 1, 2 or 3" but no explanation was offered on what they were. As she was relaying everyone's order over the phone to the restaurant they asked her if she needed anything else because they had other people on the phone. Now for the food , typical fast Chinese food. It wasn't too expensive , the portions were quite big but the rice and chow mein were pretty bland. The mandarin chicken and the orange chicken were similar in texture. Kind of like that really thin almost fake chicken. I can put up with mediocre customer service if the food was amazing , sadly that is not the case. It's pretty hard to pick which was worse.

I come to Kow Loon Chinese restaurant for one reason to enjoy authentic Chinese food. The food they serve is as good if not better than many of the Asian countries I have visited. The dine in experience makes me feel like I am eating at home. The take out food is always delicious with generous portions. Kow Loon has been in business longer than I have lived in Visalia, the restaurant is a classic. Small or large groups they can handle your appetites. Go here for traditional Chinese food.

Alright so I came back to try this place again and I was not disappointed!! My food this time was definitely ten times better than before, maybe they got another cook, I don't know? But I will definitely be back.

Kow Loon is the spot for Chinese food. I usually pick up and they're fast. Typically 10 mins and my order is ready. We love the dinner soup on those cold days.

My First time here. My mother lives in the area and this is where she like to come so we tried it out. Lady working the front was friendly and funny was cracking jokes the whole time while we waited for or orders to go. Portion were huge and food was hot and had flavor. Just saying if my mother wants to order this when we come to visit her I will definitely agree.

The food was super affordable and tasty. I was thinking I was reading the menu wrong because there is so many different portions of food you get with their combos haha. I had a lot of left overs that lasted me a few meals. I went with my one year old and they were super sweet with him too. Everything was clean but some things looked like they needed to be replaced because of wear and tear.

I work very close to two other Chinese restaurants but would rather drive to eat here. Inside is a little worn, and some of the booth seats feel like you are sitting in a hole, but everything is clean. I have tried several dishes but my favorite is the Egg Foo Young. Every other place has always just served the standard gravy covered pucks but here you get four that are then covered in vegetables and a choice of chicken, pork, beef or meatless. I always take half home for dinner because the serving is so large. The drinks are a little pricey but that's probably my only negative.

Spent 31.00 dollar on 2 items. Orange chicken was soggy and no taste. Honey walnut shrimp was good, done well and delish. Neither of these dishes came with rice or chow main. I wont go back

This is my family's favorite Chinese food place in Visalia. I only wish their chili oil had more chili flakes in it.

We have been struggling to find a decent Chinese restaurant in town for years. So we gave Kow Loon a try. We ordered a couple of entrées, so I feel like we had a pretty good variety. Nothing really stood out to me. Everything had the taste of food that was lightly seasoned. Bummer.

I wanted my family who came from Mexico to try this place but the guy in the front was so rude telling us they can't seat 10 people. He didn't even offer to sit us separately. We came to Canton Chinese Restaurant instead.

Authentic Chinese food, yummy! The staff there are super friendly and takes time to explain dishes that are not familiar to me. I know things and times are hard but if management have enough for upkeep of the restaurant environment, a brighter i side paint and cleaner floor and outside paint and cleaning will go a LONG way, just a friendly input since I love Kowloon!!!

Just walked in because this is one of the few Chinese restaurants open until 9:30pm. It was 8:51pm and the waitress says, "I think we are going to close early." So why do business hours say 9:30pm. Total disappointment. I hope the owner reads this.

In my opinion, the absolute best Chinese restaurant in Visalia. I just came home from Kowloon town, Hong Kong, and the food wasn't as good there as it is here!

We arrived at time when we thought we could be served in a timely fashion. The man who walked in behind us, ordered takeout and was out the door before we were waited on!! I got the menu off another table. Our Orange Chicken was dry and our Shrimp Chowmein had only 6 smallish medium shrimp. The best thing we ordered were the Pot Stickers! Needless to say, not going back here again any time soon!

Love the war wonton soup here and the combination dinners are good too (pork fried rice -yum). They are quick if you call in a to-go order. The restaurant could use a face-lift, but the food is decent and the employees are very nice and remember you over the years.

The best potstickers and their Kowloon fried rice is yummy. We always order too much because we love it all. The sauce that goes with the potstickers is to die for! I love the service and always are taken care of quickly. They even know my order

I always love my food from here and everyone is so very nice. I never eat in though the place needs a face lift too dingy and a little icky. Highly recommended for take out no doubt. Yum yum yum

This Chinese restaurant might not be fancy or big, but their food is absolutely delicious. It is never a disappointment, and every time is the same quality on their food as long as their customer service. Their beef fried rice is one of the best beef fried rice I have ever eaten in my life, always with juicy meat and fresh vegetables. The food is always hot and delicious. This place is must go every week.

Authentic and delicious. Needs some work in the inside and I've noticed a lot of people say it's dirty, but I always get fresh food and never had anything unsanitary happen when I visit. service is great, friendly people. Okay I'm so grossed out. Went to kow loon the other night for dinner. Enjoyed our food and brought home the left overs. Today my husband was about to heat his leftovers and saw a dead cockroach mixes into his fried rice. A few years back there was a fly in the air wonton soup. Didn't go back for a while. Gave them another chance. But a cockroach! No more chances. They need an exterminator and an inspection! Quick

I only gave it a 1 because I HAD to give a star to submit. I spent 25$ on a dinner plate a side of dinner soup and a a side of fried shrimp. The plate was all rice and maybe 1 scoop of sweet and sour pork. No egg roll noneff foo young nothing but rice. There was also a roach in my dinner soup. I called to speak to someone and no one answered.

Great portions and delicious food! Definitely order the honey walnut chicken (I usually love honey walnut shrimp but since I can't have shrimp anymore, this is a great alternative). The beef and fried rice dishes are great also. If you're going for dinner, you could probably share an entree- they're huge! I'd stay away from the fried wings though- they are battered in fried banana batter and can be passed on. You'll get fortune cookies at the end of your meal too.

Always a great place to get take away. Our go to around Visalia for Chinese food. Maybe not the cleanest place but I guess I'll take my chances. Been eating there since I was a kid and haven't died or gotten sick from the food yet.

This restaurant serves old style traditional Chinese food. There are some vegetarian options, but most everything else is fried. I ordered the potstickers and egg rolls which are served as appetizers. Both my selections were absolutely delicious, and the portions are large enough that I had to take some home. The service was average, but the quality of the food makes up for the average service. This restaurant is run by an actual family from China, so they know how to make so many different appetizing options. If your looking for a fancy restaurant then don't go to Kow Loon's it reminds me more of a road side diner from the 1960's. They also offer a take out option, and the food is always sent exactly how you order it. We have ordered take out at least 50 times, and we have never had an issue. As with most places in California they are not cheap, about average on price.

Kow Loons is the still the best restaurant for Chinese dishes. They've cut back a lot on the onions in their dishes. My dear mother-in-law and hubby LOVES their orange chicken! I love the brocolli and rice as well as pork and rice dishes. They serve a LOT tof food hat we often have to get take-home bags! The family that owns this restaurant are so friendly and quick to take and serve our orders. You'll not leave hungery!
