Came here just for the kbbq. Service was fast and attentive for the most part, but food was very “mid”. The best meat option was the beef short rib aka galbi, but I feel like that is very hard to mess up. The brisket felt of cheap quality, not to even mention the steak that came out rock hard after cooking it properly. I’m sure that there are other factors like the temperature of the grill (which we did not control) and the lack of oil. However, the brisket was really the biggest disappointment. There was a lot of liquid that came out when cooked, making it hard to get crispy and cook evenly, resulting in chewy and dry meat. Unfortunately, it was the second time for my friend, who had the same complaint about the brisket from his first visit. I do not anticipate on returning.

Oh this is a good BBQ spot if you would like to take your ppl, oh this is fun and you can eat until you dont wanna eat...oh and i low key wanna come for my birthday just to get "hooooooyaaaaaaaaa" I love the food, I love the atmosphere and how fast the servers and workers are... oh thats a good team work. Two things waiting area is kinda small and parking is kinda difficult.

I've gone here 5 times and generally the service is decent. Attentive servers, ordering is quick, and most things you can do by yourself. There is a sauce bar with a variety of options and recommendations which you can do it yourself. Depending on the day the wait time can range from an hour, but generally you are seen right away to 30 minutes. It seems like servers are taught to cook for the guests at times, as this has happened at a few visits. Unfortunately, this last visit was not as pleasant as the others. To start off, the floor was extremely slippery. There was a warning sign at the front, but it felt as if the entire floor was just caked in oil. My server at one point had his finger in the raw food when bringing out an order. I ended up finding a large fly in my soup. I ended up notifying the server who then notified the manager. I was informed that he would talk to the kitchen and find out what happened. Only 15% was taken off the bill after the fact. Lastly it looks like the free drink fridge was removed and replaced with other drinks that cost additional money. Overall, the food comes out quickly and servers are very attentive. Though given the issues with this visit I was not happy with the way things were handled.

Had an amazing time at this hot pot spot! The quality of the food was great for the price — everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Our waiter, Dale, really made the experience even better. He made sure we had everything we needed the entire time, and his fun, upbeat personality turned dinner into an entertaining experience. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Yelp
This review is for a weekday lunch (hotpot + kbbq). This place was great! I showed up on a Thursday right at opening (1130am). Either option (hotpot or kbbq) is available for $20.99, or both for $5 more. I selected both because why not? At any other Korean BBQ, an AYCE option is going to be the same, if not more. Of course you'll likely have more meat options at a dedicated Korean BBQ place, but having the hotpot option plus a mix-your-own sauce bar puts this place over the edge. I was given a tablet to keep at the table and order from. Even though some items are reserved only for the more expensive dinner option, there were enough to keep me satisfied. Oddly, some items (such as the mussels) were "dinner only" on the kbbq menu, but available for lunch on the hotpot menu. Baby octopus was also available for lunch, despite being listed as dinner only on the main website, so I guess this will depend on the location. There's a hot bar with french fries, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, sesame balls (jian dui), and something else fried that I can't remember. It's there, I think, mainly to satisfy kids, but who can't resist a fried chicken wing or two? What impressed me most was the mix-your-own sauce bar. There were probably 15 or so main sauces, along with a sign suggesting popular combinations. There was also red chili powder, ssamjang, minced garlic, minced ginger, cilantro, spring onions, and a few other toppings, as well as a fresh spicy cabbage kimchi, seaweed salad, and pickled radish -- a very good selection! Oh, and there were cream puffs, honeydew melon, and pineapple chunks (I think. I didn't really take advantage of this since I was too busy putting myself into a meat coma). For the hotpot, I selected the Szechuan/mala style. It had pretty high spice level, but was very good. My dining partners and I went crazy on the menu so I can't even recall everything we ordered. Lots of thin-sliced brisket, shrimp, squid, beef bulgogi, and pork belly. Vegetables tried to make a brief appearance but could not compete with the protein offerings (well, plain ol' lettuce leaves were popular so they could serve as a meat and sauce wrapping). I didn't even bother with rice or noodles. At the end, they give you a choice of chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry ice cream which comes in a small 1-serving container. Service was excellent. Upon sending an order through the tablet, the dishes arrived within minutes. The staff was attentive, swapping our grill plate and offering to fill our hotpots as the liquid boiled down. I will definitely be back to try some of the dishes I didn't get to, as well as a few different sauce mixes. The weekday lunch price is unbeatable. I'm not so sure the dinner or weekend price is worth it, though.

Yelp
My family took me here for my birthday. It was such a fun place to go! My oldest daughter is the one who introduced me to Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. I couldn't wait to introduce the rest of my family. It is a fun little restaurant with plenty of people bustling here and there. We had a wide variety of meat. The cheeks were my favorite. The boys liked the steaks. Everything from the meat to the vegetables were fantastic. The thing that excited people the most were the sauces you could make and the food available at the hot bar. They all tried the crabs. Our waiter was wonderful. We had our needs met as soon as we needed anything.

Yelp
My new favorite place for Korean BBQ and Hot Pot has arrived!!! Woohoo, my husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary last night, and it was a gamble that turned into a pleasant experience. We entered and seated in 2 minutes, we decided to go with the combo (BBQ&hotpot): about $40 each. The waiter seated and gave us the tablet (iPad), to order meats, vegetables and all the items that are included (0.00). The kitchen cart would come-in each time and deliver it at our tablet, fast, clean and amazing customer service. There was sauce, dessert and snack stations, included in our meals. Oh did I mention 3 types of drinks (non-alcoholic beverages). Un-limited!!! The quality of the meat and portions were perfect, I liked how they kept the portions on the smaller side to allow the guest to try more things as well as eliminating or minimizing the food waste. The broths were flavorful and the vegetables were fresh. Honestly, my recommendation is to keep up the quality, cleanliness, level of service and the variety. You are taking CAKE! There are some longtime competitors in Fairfax and you are kicking them on multiple levels. KEEP IT UP!!

Yelp
The location in Fairfax has been one of my new favorite hoot/kbbq spots. I love the huge variety of ingredients they offer and the quality is pretty good for AYCE. This is one of the few spots that offers Galbi which is a personal favorite of mine. They also have a hot bar with some small apps (trust me and get the wings) along with a cold bar with some of my favorite kimchi in the DMV. Finish off with ice cream or their homemade sago and you have a great (and filling) dinner. Love this spot for the variety and quality!

Yelp
I've been to KPOT a couple of times and the first time was not the most ideal as we had to wait a while to get our food, but the second time was much much better. What makes this place unique is that you can do both hotpot and korean bbq and you have a two hour time limit to eat as much as you choose. I like that there's a way to order your items from the iPad without having to track down your waiter. I also like the personal hotpot stations compared to shared ones I have seen at other places. The options are also limitless, they have just about every meat, veggie, seafood you could imagine. They also have a hot food bar with crab legs, crawfish, takoyaki, chicken wings and so much more. The sauce bar is also extensive with many options. The sago is really great too, although I do wish they had some other good dessert options. Really fun spot to go with a group of friends!

Yelp
We didn't like anything we tried. The food was very bland, except for the kimchi. Even the dipping sauces were not good. Everything was edible but nothing was good. Several of the plates and bowls from the buffet were visibly dirty. The service/staff wasn't great. Our waitress was nice but most of the staff act as though they didn't want to be there.

Yelp
Wow, what a great find! In all likelihood KPot is the best Korean hot pot and grill in the area. We're big fans of Urban Hot Pot in the Mosaic District, but KPot is much better. We came early afternoon on a Tuesday and there were only a few tables occupied. KPot is huge with lots of tables. Free parking is available in a garage a few steps away from the restaurant. KPot is still shiny new and modern with a very cool interior. Service was exceptionally good. We had a personable server, Chris, who was very responsive and assisted in cooking our meat. Each table has a grill and burners for the broth. The selection of condiments and sauces is vast and amazing. My favorite was the oyster sauce. My dining companions loaded up on the spiciest sauces at the condiment bar. At this time lunch is $20.95 for the hot pot, but for just $5 more, you also get the grill. Even though there are less fish and meat options available at lunch, the selection is still ample. Of course, KPot is all you can eat. I opted for the KPot special broth. It was extremely flavorful and delicious. All the meats were high-quality. My favorite was the lamb. We loved the bowls, though the spoon for getting broth from the hot pot to the bowl is really too small. I was pretty much filled up from my hot pot, but my dining companions apparently have hollow legs and chowed on the grilled meat with great gusto. In addition to the sauce bar, there is another hot table with more items such as fried chicken, gyoza and French fries. I was told by my dining companions that the fried chicken was excellent. For dessert there was ice cream, cake, mousse and coconut cookies.

Yelp
Had a great experience, came here on a Saturday at 5pm no wait. $5 extra to do hotpot and bbq but only did hotpot. Love the ambiance. The hotpot options were great. The Kpot broth was pretty good. They randomly had crab and crawfish boil but it was ok, just tried a few pieces. I enjoyed the variations here compared to other places Be careful because the floor is slippery!! I saw a guy take a fall and they just put a wet sign but their entire floors are slippery so be careful walking or if you're old, disabled, or pregnant. Probably a matter of time before someone slips and seriously hurts themselves.

Yelp
Went to Kpot to celebrate my roommate's birthday. We had a 2 servers named Nelson and Brandon. Nelson was training with his colleague and he was very nice, attentive, and quick with service. Our servers explained how to order the food and side dishes via the iPad system and the prices, we decided to get the Kpot and hot pot combo for $35 per person. I ended up ordering the chicken hot pot with noodles, dumplings, and veggies. The soup is very filling. We also ordered steak brisket and shrimp to cook on the grill. All the meat was very fresh and there was a ton of options for vegetables to include in our grilling and hot pot. They also had a multitude of sauces you can choose to customize your order and a hot bar completed with fries, onion rings, and even a small seafood boil containing crawfish overall, the price was good and the food was delicious. There's a two hour seating limit, but we never once felt rushed by staff. The atmosphere was very nice. They had some R&B music playing in the back and they even came over and saying happy birthday. If you're looking to have a filling mill with great staff this is a nice place to go.

Yelp
Love love love Kpot, also love that the Fairfax location is so close to me. It's a good thing and a bad thing bc I'm always so tempted to go! I'd recommend coming earlier if you can bc they're always busy and the wait is long. They changed up their sauce section and hot sides section into two spots which is quite nice! I really enjoyed their hot pot selections on a cold night during the snowstorm! I feel like each time I come, I try to enjoy a different aspect of what they have to offer.

Yelp
I'd say 3.5 for rating but maybe not 4.0. Our server was very helpful and nice. We ordered hotpot (kimchi and kpot speci soup). Kimchi soup was so flavorful! But meat quality just wasn't there, neither were dumplings since they all come pre frozen! I wanna try bbq next time to see! Love all of the sauces and choices!

Yelp
My Asian kids were living their asian foodie dreams by having both, Korean BBQ and hot pot, in one evening. This mama lived her dreams of endless snow crab legs with mussels and corn smothered in butter and spicy Cajun goodness. Now of course the crab legs weren't huge. And the meats weren't the best cut or amazing. But what do people expect for the price? It's $30 for all you can eat for either hot pot or Korean BBQ for 2 hours. That price includes ice cream at the end and all the dessert, sauces, condiments, and foods at the hot bar which includes chicken wings, fries, and the crab legs. I think it's a good price for all of that. If you want both, the hot pot and the Korean BBQ, it's $35 (an additional $5 per person). We did both and it was worth it. If I had to pick one only one option for $30, I would pick the hot pot. Each person in our table had to pick the same option. And the kids have their own pricing depending on their age. We ordered over 63 items for our hot pot and to be honest, if they forgot an item, I wouldn't even know. And if we did know, we can always reorder it and it comes out fast. Maybe a little too fast because we were still trying to clear stuff that's currently on our table. The vegetables hand roots were fresh. And the seafood such as the shrimp, mussels, and scallops were not frozen. We came around 5 pm on a weekend and were kind of surprised at how clean our table and surrounding areas were. This is a new establishment. Our server was amazing. She helped us grilled some of our meats, change the grill in between, and checked on us often for water refills, tablet ordering instructions or problems, and just little things like napkins or another fork that we could clearly get up and get ourselves. We had 4 kids under 10 years of age at our table so her being sweet, attentive, and helpful meant a lot to us. My only complaint is the parking. The parking lot is tucked way past the restaurant near the condos and not only was it a walk (it's not a bad walk), but spaces were kind of limited for patrons. I don't know if they plan to expand the parking situation because I saw other establishments in the process of starting, like a new pho restaurant, and more convenient parking would be helpful.

Yelp
Dale was the best server! It was our first time at KPot, so he showed us the best menu items and made sure to check up on us throughout. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
KPOT is always really good. My husband likes the meats and they have a good selection for those who are vegetarian (like myself). What made them a 20 out of 10 for our last visit was our server Steven. His energy from the moment he welcomed us set the tone for our date. We had a great experience because he was personable, apologized for things that weren't his fault, patient, and above all us, just kind! If you're going to KPOT ask for Steven, you won't regret it!

Yelp
I think this place has room for improvement. Let's begin with the parking situation. There is a parking garage in the back of the building but there were very limited spots on the first floor where designated retail customers parking is. I had to circle around the side streets to secure a spot. The interior space is so much bigger than it seems from the outside. The dining hall is very big and was split up in different sections. I came on a week night and there was no wait even though the place was packed. Our server (sorry i forgot his name) was friendly but we had to flag him down several times for various requests. Also, FYI for newcomers, if you choose the bbq option; you have to do your own grilling. There is a buffet section in the back where you can get their buffet options (wings, fries, snow crab legs, desserts, make your own sauce station. My friend noticed some of the sauce bowls still had food particles stuck on them. Our table was also sticky like they did not wipe it down thoroughly. As far as food, pricing is pretty fair for what you get but do not expect the best quality cuts of meats. Some were pretty tough to chew and the short ribs had a lot of fat on them. I did enjoy the free drinks they offered. The orange and matcha were refreshing! They also offer ice cream too but i was too stuffed.

Yelp
Say you want hot pot and your friend, KBBQ. One of you needed to make a compromise in the past but no more! KPOT gets you BOTH! That makes a lot of sense. Why argue? Why not both? Beware of the wait times though. They don't take reservations on Fridays and weekends. When I called in to check wait time for a party of 5 on a Friday at 8 PM, I was told an hour wait. We showed up expecting to wait an hour but we got seats in 20 minutes. Your experience may vary. Oh, there is no parking nearby. You can get a parallel parking spot if lucky. There's a larger garage in the back. Follow the signs and you may need to walk a minute back to Kpot. The tablet ordering system is a lot more efficient than ticking boxes on paper like Hot Spot. You pick what you want and submit the order and all the food comes in a cart - very neat! Then you decide if you want to grill it or put it in your soup. You cannot order the soups on the tablet though. Your waiter will get you those once you get your seat. There's a sauce and dessert bar in the back with some small side dishes as well. The sauce recipes show you what to put in but not by how much so it was taking unnecessarily long for me to get it tasting right. In case you don't see it or the waiter doesn't mention it, do walk around to find a fridge full of matcha, orange, and taro drinks. The staff will get you what you need. I cannot say they are enthusiastic about it and understandably so because I see the customers constantly demanding this and that (including us!) If I were in their positions, I'd look indifferent too. No complaints here because we got what we needed without any delay. The walkway between tables is kind of narrow. It felt slightly cramped especially with the food carts moving around. There's a small bar and a bigger, what looks like a private, seating area for bigger groups. You can see some efforts were made to the decoration. The soup bases are rich and taste great! The ingredients are fresh. It's probably the only place I'd pick if we're in the mood for both hot pot and grilled meat.

Yelp
This was my first visit to this location, as I usually visit the one in Falls Church. Right away, I could tell parking might be an issue due to the restaurant's location. There's a garage in the back and a few limited street parking spots--I was lucky enough to snag a street spot. The restaurant is spacious, and I appreciated how the hot bar is accessible from both sides. This is a big improvement compared to the Falls Church location, where the single-sided setup often leads to long lines. We were seated promptly, and I really enjoyed the convenience of ordering everything on the iPad. Special shoutout to our server, Bee, who was attentive, friendly, and provided exceptional hospitality. As for the food, the quality of the hot pot and KBBQ was decent. While it's not outstanding, it's definitely worth the price for an all-you-can-eat experience!

Yelp
FOOD We ordered the AYCE lunch hot pot option for $20.99/person. They have a variety of soup bases and add-ons that you order via tablet or scoop up at the bar. They even post recipes for the sauces you can make as well. They have a great variety of meats included with the AYCE option, including lamb, beef brisket, chicken, and more, They also have tofu-based proteins should you seek a vegetarian option. Hot food items outside of the soup are also available, including fries, chicken nuggets, wings, and more. Dessert items like ice cream bars are available upon request. ALLERGENS They post common allergens in the foods by the counters/hot bars. DRINKS Other than water, three drinks were complimentary-- matcha latte, blueberry juice, and orange juice. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly! We did order a couple things, and they never arrived, but it was no issue since we just ordered the same item again. The bathroom stalls are very nice and tidy. PARKING Ample parking is available in the garage nearby at no cost-- just make sure to not park in a resident parking spot.

Yelp
Love this place, 2nd time and its still the same. We did lunch and had the hotpot and kbbq. Highly recommended. Only downside tho is the portions so you might wanna try doubling up the order. Over all - service, ambiance, location nothing to complain about.

Yelp
KPot is a growing restaurant chain where you can get choose between Korean barbecue, hotpot, or both. This KPot location opened within the last year or so, and I finally had a chance to stop by for my friend's birthday (more on that later). My friend and I came during a weekday and it was surprisingly a little busy, but it wasn't too crazy. Because it was our first time at a KPot, our waiter explained how it worked-- you order what you'd like from the iPad. You have 2 hours to enjoy all you care to eat. In addition to the wide variety of meats you can choose for KBBQ and hotpot, they also offer an appetizer/sauce bar. You can pick up a variety of things like fries, egg rolls, and fresh fruit. One of my favorite things about this place? There is all you can drink milk/fruit tea! There is a fridge near the front of the restaurant with a variety of milk teas such as taro, matcha, and some fruit teas as well like lychee and mango. While they don't have any boba (which makes sense, you wouldn't be able to refrigerate it), this was by far a highlight of my trip. We came for my friend's birthday and the KPot team did not disappoint--they brought out a whole drum and brought him a slice of cake with fireworks! Really cool! (He knew at the beginning of dinner he was going to be embarrassed so it wasn't a secret or anything.) Our waiter was super chill and was a highlight of the meal. He was personable and did a great job striking up small talk while he cooked the meat. Parking is available nearby in the garage. During the week there were plenty of spots. Overall, this was a great visit to KPot!

Yelp
Amazing food. Went for my sisters birthday and the food choices were not limited at all. Although soups were a little held back on choices. Food was great. Service was amazing! Waiter was kind, stopped by every 10-8 minutes to ask us on out food! Amiance was amazing, had a little chuckle watching them do the birthday singing for her!

Yelp
Our 2nd KPot visit (after the Falls Church location). Nice that FFX spot has free drinks. Has More broth selections - but kinda bland about half way thru meal. Seafood - some arrived frozen - was ok, same for lamb - just ok. Veggie selection more limited . Sadly they did not have crawfish at hot bar (even after I called & told there would be :((( Not the best experience, not sure if we'll be back.
google avatar

Marisol D.

Yelp
I love Kpot. I always forget that they give you small portions, which is great for smaller parties who want to try other meats. We can adjust to smaller portions of meat and try more at our table. I love the create-your-own dip station and the extra hot bar for wings and nuggets. I'll definitely be back soon. The place was busy and it did take a moment to get our grill changed but that was only because they didn't have enough staff and our server mentioned that bonus s we didn't mind. It's not too loud we were able to hear amongst ourselves at the table even when they brought drums out to sing happy birthday.

Yelp
We weren't very pleased with our seating, but I won't dock a star for that. There were 7 of us and they squeezed us into a booth for 6 people so 2 people had to share a hot pot. First of all, booth seating is not efficient for a buffet unless you can get out on either side. When only one side has the opening, it's not convenient to go in and out. We inquired about moving to one of the free, bigger seated tables to accommodate us and they said they did not have enough staff to clean them up. So we made do with the booth we had because we were hungry. Ordering through the ipad is quick and seamless. Food comes out very quickly and there is a buffet area where you can get some hot foods and all your sauces. They had blue crab available at this location in addition to different fruit teas. I enjoyed both of those aspects very much. If you go on your birthday and show your ID, your meal is free. If you want good KBBQ and hot pot all in one, KPOT is the place to be.

Yelp
We arrived at 5:15 pm and place was not crowded for a Saturday, but at 6:00, it was very busy! Haven't been to many Korean bbq AYCE that has kalbi so this was a nice surprise! Their choices of side dishes aren't the same as what you'd typically find at a K-bbq place, but you get to choose from different types of sides (I really like the steamed egg most places have, but unfortunately, this place didn't have it that I saw). Surprising they had steamed crab, crawfish, shrimp, as extras! It was nice they have a few dessert options, like sesame balls (with the sweet red bean inside) and cream puffs (they were ok but a little dry). After the meal, they serve ice cream, which was nice! Our server, Kevin was super busy but did a great job helping out. Seats were comfortable and restaurant was very clean. I'd definitely go back and maybe try the hot pot!

Yelp
This was my first hot pot experience, and I absolutely loved it! Our server, Catherine, was phenomenal. She was super sweet and explained everything thoroughly to me. She also was very attentive and checked in frequently without being invasive. And I saw her sort of doing a constant walk-around to ensure her tables were taken care of. Not knowing if I would like hot pot, we originally ordered the KBBQ/hot pot combo, but we filled up on hot pot and didn't order any KBBQ, so she adjusted the price for us. I would have understood if we had to pay the full amount, but was grateful she did that for us. Ordering was incredibly simple with their system, and I was astounded how quickly everything came out (for example, right after our first order, we got up to visit the sauce bar and get a few apps, and our first order was already on the table by the time we went back). I got the miso broth, and it was very flavorful. It complemented everything I had. I loved that it was so easy to try different things. The portions they give of each item are sufficient, but not *too* much, which I also appreciated. I had fish, Crab, thinly sliced beef, broccoli, and seafood meatballs (I think), and I really enjoyed it all. It's a really cool environment, and there were several people celebrating birthdays, so we got to see KPots birthday celebration several times. Overall, the food was amazing, but the service is what really stood out. I absolutely recommend this spot and will be back for sure.

Yelp
Came here for my dad's birthday and they offer a free birthday meal for parties 4+ or more!!! They also offered a free cheesecake for your birthday!! This place offers both hotpot and KBBQ for $35 dollars which isnt too bad. However, I thought it was super overwhelming to manage both KBBQ and hotpot. Next time, I would probably just do KBBQ only. My favorite items that we ordered was the pork jowl, beef tongue, brisket, the shrimp. The shrimp was SO good on the grill. Highly recommend. They also had a self service bar where you can make your own sauces, get dessert, get crawfish and crablegs, and free boba!!! This was definitely a fun experience and would probably come back for the kbbq only.

Yelp
Stopped here while in the area for a convention. We have been to kpots in other areas, and this was your standard location. The sauce and small plates bar was stocked- but the yum yum sauce was a little off. Might need to check the recipe? Just was an odd consistency and tasted awkward. We got several meats and Vog got to work. The issue moment came when, while still having meat on the grill our waiter pulled up and asked us to clear the grille so he could switch it out. We have been to many KBB's and that was a new one. Not sure if he just had the grill box out and didn't want to make an extra trip or what but this was annoying. Also for the life of me WE COULD NOT GET A CONSISTENT REFILL CHECKUP. Wow! Good on paper, but our visit was riddled with issues.

Yelp
This KPOT is the best one i've had; the other one is the Falls Church Location. I'd take the 30min drive to fairfax any day. The thing that makes this one my favorite is the Kimichi soup base as well as the freshness from the meat. I recommend getting the galbi, and rib fingers to grill. They also have free juice in the fridge up front which is nice. The service is fast, I've had the same server twice now and she's very attentive! I would recommend making the drive if you're thinking of going to a KPOT location.

Yelp
Great value for AYCE kbbq and hotpot, therefore you get what you pay for in terms of quality. Place is huge and you order thru a tablet. Sauces and side dishes are available in an island style self serve bar. Great for groups and large families. Parking is inside the garage marked as RETAIL.

Yelp
My server Julie was really great. She had awesome energy and she was very witty. It made my first time experience at KPot all the more better. I've never been to a spot that is both KBBQ and hot pot, so it was definitely unique, and SO delicious! The vibes were great. I would definitely go back. For an AYCE place, the price is pretty reasonable ($30.99 dinner time). Worth it!

Yelp
Great experience! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were plenty of sauces and appetizers, and the food ordering via the tablet worked very smoothly. Our waiter, Kevin, was very attentive and stopped by to check on things regularly, even though they have the tablet system. We hadn't come specifically for a birthday, but when he saw we were treating our friends then he checked if we had a birthday among us and made sure to apply the appropriate discount, besides the staff singing happy birthday to the person. Fantastic service that went above and beyond. We got both hotpot and kbbq, and while it was a little much to manage both and still chat, it was really nice to know everyone was getting what they wanted in their own pot and could grab the kbbq in addition as desired. Some of the other kbbq or hotpot places probably have some better meats, but the experience at KPot was so much fun we'll be back. And the price was very reasonable considering all the options. Very impressed they included some non-water drinks and dessert/apps in the package. We also felt that we could hear and see each other well, even with all the equipment/vents, so that was really nice.

Yelp
I have been to the KPOT in Bethesda and was not impressed by the quality or service, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Fairfax location! Julie was our server and she was wonderful! She made sure my boyfriend and I knew how the ordering process worked because it was his first time there, checked in regularly, gave suggestions, and was an overall delight! The food quality was also fantastic and the place felt clean and very spacious. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
New and popular. Having the choice for both hot pot and kbbq is appealing but a bit chaotic when cooking both and staff does not really cook the bbq. Ordering is through a tablet and is fairly quick even when busy. Come early or expect to wait on weekends and same with parking in an apartment complex. We enjoyed it but may likely just pick hot pot or kbbq and there may be slightly better choices for each separately elsewhere. Also the sauce station needs some help as you have to go to both sides to get everything. Still a fun and enjoyable experience overall and it's pretty big inside. They also do fun birthday celebrations.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place! We came at a time they only had two servers. Parking is in a garage nearby. We chose the kbbq option and it was nice that it came with the option for a ton of sides (standard ban chan plus dumplings, fried chicken, and crab legs) and sauces you can choose. The meat itself was bland and just didn't taste great. I will say it was convenient just ordering on their ipad and they came out fast. The taste and quality just wasn't there for me. Our server also took forever with refills and the check. Hopefully they get all the kinks of being new out soon and people have better experiences in a few weeks.

Yelp
Not authentic kbbq but solid spot. We opted for the kbbq selection ($30.99) but if you pay $5 more you can get both options. Fair warning: there is no banchan with the kbbq. Might be the only place in nova that doesn't do it the traditional ways. Service was somewhat slow in the beginning but our server Kadi was nice despite it- we sat at 6:50pm but finally got our first bite/order at 7:30. We had to ask for the grill start up and no one helped us until 7:15. This place is new so slow service is expected. We ordered some basic cuts such as: spicy bulgogi, brisket, pork cheek, steak, galbi, pork belly, etc. only major stand outs was the brisket was very fatty so really bad and the spicy bulgogi was the best one. Great flavor and spice. The pork was extremely fatty and poor quality- saw another review saying the same thing so I'd believe it'd not just us. The seating was clean but this is a do yourself experience as you have to ask for grill changes and serve yourself utensils. Wouldn't recommend this place if youre new to kbbq but it's very average and not worth it.

Yelp
I love Korean hot pot and Korean BBQ now, thanks to KPOT and my fun family! This location is easy to find just south off of US-50 Fairfax Blvd between I-66 and Main St, just west of where Fairfax Blvd and Main Street swap names. There's a parking garage within two blocks and lots of street-parking too. They are open daily from lunch to late, with lower prices before 4pm. We got there a little after five, and the thirty or forty mostly-empty booths filled completely in short order, so reservations are a good idea after that. They serve AYCE all-you-can-eat Korean hot pot and Korean BBQ, plus some appetizers, alcoholic and soft drinks, and desserts. I've tried Korean cooking before, and I wasn't all that interested in it, but here the great tastes and the super-fun experience have really awakened me! First off, your whole table has to agree on either the hot pot menu or the BBQ menu or both, then you just start requesting anything from the menu! There's a tablet to place orders for each ingredient, and they are brought quickly by very attentive friendly staff. There's also a buffet with additional items. We started with alaskan crab legs and huge shrimp and sauces and spices from the buffet, various flavorful broths for hot pot, and many different cook-yourself fresh seafood and meats, sliced or cut or or minced or whole, plain or spicy. We had cut lamb, several cuts of beef, thin sliced pork, cut and thin-sliced chicken, breaded huge scallops, fresh white swai fish and spicy salmon and mussels and large oysters, shrimp dumplings, tender boneless "finger"-ribs, minced seasoned bulgogi beef, tofu, and more that i've forgotten to list here! We had corn and sweet potatoes and watercress and onions-to-grill and white rice. Some of us had not-too-salty miso broth, one had a savory mushroom broth, and one had a spicy tomato Tom Yum soup. Some of us had sangria or shots or cocktails or juices. The waiter brought us each whatever broth we chose for hot pot, and lit the gas-grill that's built into the table. Each of us had an inductive heater for the broth, built into the table, and you tap the button to cycle through temperature choices: warm, simmering, or boiling. As our seafood and meats and veggies arrived, we simmered or grilled our ingredients, which is fun and quick and active! The thin-slices and seafood cook in just a couple minutes to give you the freshest broth-simmered meats and seafoods I have ever eaten! The thin slices and seafood grill in seconds, and the meats and chicken are ready in minutes, filling your senses with amazing aromas, as you cut any thicker pieces with shears and move and flip your grilling with tongs. Now and then they replace the grill surface with a clean one, because you will burn a few things or stick them to the grill. Add your rice and sauces, ask for refills any time of anything. We all ate with chopsticks, but i bet there's flatware available, too. A few of us managed to save a little room for desserts from the buffet or a free cup of ice cream (or both :-). Besides a thin piece of bright red (maybe strawberry) mousse-cake, I had piping hot soft sweet sesame-balls, and the most lychee fruit I've ever had at one time! Heavenly! Our family are often quiet and relaxed, but here we talked and laughed non-stop for a couple of hours, all the while cooking and tasting and eating so many foods and flavors and fully engaged in our lively dining adventure! I am so thrilled that my family knew of this place, because I haven't enjoyed a restaurant this much in as long as I can remember! I had never really thought much of Korean cooking before, but this was so tasty and generous and fun! Thank you family, and thank you KPOT!

Yelp
Had an excellent dinner with Ling as our waitress! So happy this place opened up and we checked it out. Ling deserves special recognition because she was extra accommodating and helping us cook our food because we had our toddler with us. She was attentive to our table without being overbearing. As far as the food goes, we tried a lot of beef and pork. The spicy varieties had the perfect amount of heat and we enjoyed the vegetables too. There is a sauce station, so you can make your own concoction, which had my name all over it. We will definitely be back and maybe try hot pot next time !

Yelp
I love an all you can eat Korean BBQ. Service is quick with your order but the cooking can be a bit slow. I like that this is a family event for me as we are able to talk and enjoy each other's company while slowly cooking morsels of food to share. Secretly I like the family time I get when we come here because everywhere else is go go go. Here you have to take your time.

Yelp
Overall I'm happy that Fairfax has a Kpot because the food and atmosphere is pretty good. You can have hot pot or KBBQ. They got all the variety of meats, veggies, seafoods, and sauces. I like how they have a fruit and desert bar and also cooked foods like fries, fried chicken, clam bake with King Crab legs, deep fried shrimp that's located in the central part of the dining area. There is also free fruit drinks like green matcha, orange, lychee, and taro. They do have ice cream as well. Definitely worth coming if it's your birthday since you eat free with a party of 4 or more. And this guy in a bear costume comes out to serenade you in a song. There is also a coupon that gives you 15% I don't like how they don't have a large waiting area because when it's cold you don't want to be outside.

Yelp
Really solid kbbq and hotpot. There are plenty of options and I haven't had a bad thing. I normally get the bone broth for hotpot. I get mainly get lamb and beef. For the bbq side I recommend the hanger steak. The galbi is just okay. Plenty of side options and sauces. Worth it.

Yelp
Came on a friday for dinner and they were celebrating their grand opening, although I thought they'd been open for several months now. They had special cupcakes and half a lobster for customers for the event which was nice. Although the lobster was not fresh and we ended up not being able to eat it. There is the option to pay an additional $5 for both hotpot and kbbq. We usually go for both but this time we just went to kbbq mainly for the shortribs. It can be overwelming with both options. There's also a decent buffet of sides and desserts and they offer free milk tea and fruity drink options. The only downside to kpot is their sauce, which is pretty important since the sauce is integral to how your food tastes especially the meats that dont come premarinated. The sauces are either too sweet or salty no matter what combination I try. The server was attentive and came to take away dishes and asked us how we were doing occasionally.

Yelp
Food: you are able to select from kbbq, hot pot, or both. I opted for the kbbq only. You will receive a tablet where you can order from and the staff will bring out the food. For the kbbq option that's is very limited selection from the veggies which was a bummer but great options for the meats! I really enjoyed their short rib was it was packed with flavor! There was also steak on the menu which I do not see at other kbbq. You can also order some seafood items such as shrimp. There is also a hot bar area which you can get some starters such s friends, crawfish, corn, dumplings, kimichi, and desserts like lychee, sago, and cheesecake. Attached the hotpot is the sauces! Service: great service & the food came out in a timely manner. This location for kbbq does not cook the meat for you like others so you cook the meats yourself at the table. Parking was horrendous though. There is limited parking on the street & limited garage parking as it is attached to then apartments behind the restaurant. Note they do not take reservations so recommend coming early to get your name on the list esp for dinner time as it does get packed. Overall this is a decent place for kbbq and one of the few places you can get both hotpot and kbbq.

Yelp
We've been to other Kpot locations plenty but first time here. We moved 3 times because the girl who was originally serving us didn't know how to find a table to seat the correct number of people we had. She also sauntered around the restaurant and even stopped to chat with a co-worker like she did not have a table to address - it was very frustrating. The meal was frankly saved by the next server who took over our table named Tan. He was professional and attentive..or this meal would have been a 1 star. Our first batch of orders delivered fine but every other subsequent order was either missing items or just never showed up. This is an issue that needs to be fixed - overall frustrating meal, though Tan was the one beacon of light.

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch to celebrate a birthday sometime back. Here are the things that are good about this place - it is pretty large and not cramped, the service is decent although the waitress missed a couple of items we ordered and we had to call for it separately, and lastly the birthday boy or girl gets a free meal if you can show them ID with your birthday date on it. Here are the opportunities for them to get better - they give you two hours of all you can eat, but by the time you order and start eating, you only have like an hour to an hour and a half left especially for people that are doing this for the first time, many items are not available in the lunch menu, and they charge five dollars extra if you wanna do barbecue on top of the hot pot - so even if you don't wanna do the hot pot, you still gotta pay the extra five dollars per person for the bbq for every person on your table (which seems like a rip off, for our table in a party of four only two of us did the bbq and other 2 just the hot pot but paid for all four due to the silly rule). Here are the tips for newbies - if this is your first time, then have your waiter cook the first round of barbecue for you rather than either under cooking or over cooking your food, also do not order too much food in the first round as you may not be able to consume it all, please note that if you have extra food left on your table, then you may be charged another $13 fee at the end. For us it was an OK experience and even though my daughter found it interesting and our son did not, we will not be going back any time soon.
