I recently dined at K Pot in Rockville, and overall, it was a solid experience. The price for the portions is definitely a great deal, offering a good amount of food for what you pay. The taste and quality of the food were decent—nothing extraordinary, but satisfying enough for a casual meal. I’d rate the food a 3 out of 5 stars. Service was another area that could use improvement. While the staff was polite, we had to ask to switch out our cooking pot, and they didn’t offer much assistance unless we flagged them down. It was a bit lackluster, so I’d rate service a 3 out of 5 as well. As for the atmosphere, it was fine—nothing too fancy, but comfortable. I’d give it a 3 out of 5 stars overall. Overall, I would return mainly because of the value for the price, but there are definitely areas where they could improve to make the experience more enjoyable.

I recently visited KPot and had an enjoyable experience focusing on the hot pot. The atmosphere was beautiful, creating a welcoming and relaxing environment. The customer service was exceptional—our server was very informative and patient, which made the experience much easier as first-time guests. They also provided clear communication about the $14 per pound waste charge, which I appreciated. The hot pot ingredients were fresh, and the small buffet included with the meal was a nice addition. I also enjoyed the free ice cream from the dessert bar and was pleasantly surprised with a free perfume gift, adding a thoughtful personal touch to the experience. However, I did notice that both the crab and lobster balls and the scallops were imitation, which may be disappointing for those expecting authentic seafood options. There are a few key policies to note: KPot has a two-hour seating limit, which can feel rushed if you plan to enjoy both hot pot and BBQ. There’s an additional $5 charge for BBQ, which I opted out of, as preparing my hot pot took up most of my time. One area that could use improvement is the bathrooms—they need a deep cleaning to match the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and quality food made for a positive experience. With some improvements in bathroom maintenance, KPot has great potential. I look forward to returning and trying the BBQ next time.

The food was great and our server was very nice. The calamari is better at the hot bar than if you order off the menu. Good sauce bar too. We came in at lunch during a weekday but were charged a weekend dinner cause it’s holidays tho so watch for that.

Comfy and nice environment. Spacious dinning room. There are BBQ and Hot Pot Service. Bonus free drinks and appetizers include All You Can Eat price. Service was professional. Lunch package have quite limited choices but they were all good quality, flavorful seasoning.

Google
Nice place, food was good. We only chose the grill, no pot. The two together is pricier and there is no way to eat the price off. Beef Spicy bolgogi was the best, all steaks were great.

A little difficult settling in at first but once you get going it's OK. Music was booming i thought i was at a dance club wish it wasn't so loud. Maybe an extra 20 min grace period in case the table has technical difficulties. Luckily we had some helpers. Overall great experience I love ordering on a tablet. Food is extremely fresh coming out cook your own food! Fried blue crabs was weird not even cleaned all the way 😒. Maybe tear off the shell get rid of the not edible parts then fry it sure! Kinda wish you can order their dessert on the iPad. The seats are real tight to get out of. I enjoyed trying their matcha and taro milk teas included with the meal. I'll be back no doubt no real complaints just observations maybe some pointers to help overall business for your next guests.

The service here is always amazing. The servers are always very attentive and offer help to those who might be new to K-pot. The self serve area is always stocked and offers so much more goodies besides the meets you grill. Overall will continue to come back.

This was a fun experience that I think is worth planning for. Our waitress was friendly and gave exceptional service. The food was tasty and I felt satisfied at the end. It is all you can eat, but there is a time limit and they encourage no food waste, which was helpful as it allowed us to be intentional in our choices. I think the cleanliness can be improved upon (silverware and floors). I love their decor. It is a bit pricey depending on what time you go. It is more affordable at lunch on weekdays.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere! Be ready to eat; they just keep bringing you food until you are stuffed!

Yelp
We have been to several KPOT locations; however, this one is the BEST! Our server, Lesly, welcomed us and brought us some sauces she made (all were tasty). The food comes out quick, the selection is vast and there are several items on the hot bar to choose from. Can't beat the price, $35.99, for both KPot and BBQ. We will definitely drive out our way to come back to this location (we came from Arlington).

Yelp
Ambiance was awesome love the lights as well as the musit, food was excellent as well as beverage minor service confusion with drink refill but overall great experience will come again.

Yelp
This is the best KPOT location in the DMV! I've tried a couple of the other locations and their broths were a little strange and the meats had an aftertaste. The KPOT in Rockville always has speedy service and fresh vegetables. They added some complimentary appetizers next to the sauce bar, sometimes they have great dumplings and yummy pineapples. If you choose the kbbq option, definitely try out the LA Galbi since it's typically $30+ at regular restaurants. I always order their pork belly and udon when I'm doing the hot pot option. Napa cabbage can really enhance your broth as well. More recently, they started offering bubble tea at the front for no additional cost! I also like how they give you 2 hours to eat instead of just 90 minutes at other hot pot places. My favorite broths are spicy sichuan, mushroom, and herbal. I typically go on Saturdays right when they open and there's no crowd. I'm pretty sure the team here recognizes us by now.

Yelp
Yes! Yes! Yes! I finally got a chance to have Korean bbq and this was a great first experience. I'm upset that I can't remember the name of the young lady who helped us tonight. She made sure to explain it clearly so we weren't overwhelmed. We did just the bbq side which was honestly enough for me and hubs. The price was 31 a person for dinner. There is a buffet of fried options and fruit. Also a sauce bar for your cooking you are about to do. You then get your tablet and choose your meats. They are brought out promptly as well. Stick them on the grill and chow down. Just don't waste the food or you'll have an extra charge. This place is opening their first location in my city soon so now I will know exactly what it entails. To our waitress, thanks for being so kind!

Victoria N.

Yelp
$20 for an all you can eat lunch buffet? How do they even make money?! This is absolutely worth the money! They also offer free tea drinks (not tasty) and lychee dessert! I'd pass on the watermelon -- had the texture of styrofoam -- and cantaloupe -- was not sweet. The meats. Utter heaven. They had black vinegar that paired really well with the brisket. I would 100% come back! It's well worth the money. We actually went to two KPOT places back-back days because of how tasty it was! The only downside is that the waiter pretty much forgot we existed. He checked on us twice in about 2 hours so our water cup was often empty. It also took like 15 minutes for us to get the check.

Yelp
What a wonderful place to experience both Korean BBQ and Hot Pot, offering a variety of soup bases like Thai Tom Yum, Szechuan Spicy, and Korean Seafood Tofu that you can switch up during your meal. You can add K-BBQ for an additional $5. I really appreciate their all-you-can-eat menu, which you order directly on an iPad, eliminating the wait for servers. They also have fried seafood and chicken, along with a fruit and dessert bar. And don't miss out on grabbing a lychee tea at the entrance--they offer unlimited refills, too!

Yelp
I came here on Sunday, May 26. I came before dinner rush so there was no wait. It used to be a nice comfortable experience coming here but apparently it's age is showing through bean counting by management. After we sat down at our table on the side that is right across from the kitchen, not only did some of the burners didn't work, we didn't even see thr controls for one of the burner. The controls for that burner was actually detached and hanging by the wire cord and it turned out that the inoperable burners were unplugged. But plugging them back in and operating the controls for that detached burner was such a janky setup because the wires were running across our legs. The staff had to assist in plugging it back in several times during the meal because the plugs easily disconnected. The A/C also wasn't on for long periods of the meal which made it uncomfortably hot. When I pointed it out to the server, he replied that's just how it always is. But then later the A/C did come on for a while but also made the server a liar. The A/C cut back off later and it was hot for the rest of the meal. The food was good and service was mostly on point as they delivered what you ordered although they did forget to deliver one order. They had a 15% discount but even with the savings, the issue with the A/C and burners, I'm not in a rush to return anytime soon until they get their act together.

Yelp
Food is really good and the service was outstanding. Server walk us trough the menu and explain how the hot pot orders work and kept check-in on us regularly

Yelp
Finally had a chance to stop by the Rockville KPot for hot pot. I wish there were more people in our party so that we could have more of a variety of food. As I don't eat beef, I'm limited on what I can get when we go out. We did order quite a few dishes of the beef for family. I opted to get the pork belly, and sliced pork and black pig. Portions were good. But this location lets you order as much as you want and no waiting period in between orders. We tried the Miso soup base along with the Thai soup base and the herbal healthy soup base. All three were great. Very flavorful. Got a little confused by the sauce bar. The name tags for each of the sauces is a little smaller than my aged eyes could read clearly. I did come up with some sauce that tasted good though. Will be back. Hopefully with a larger group.

Jas Z.

Yelp
Back at it again for lunch. Service is good. Food is good. Not too busy at noon. Food came quick and as usual really good. Only issue I have today is the chicken wings a little saltier than I remember.

Jon T.

Yelp
Went here to celebrate an end to a convention we just came from... why not indulge in something that's AYCE? While maybe this could be a bit too much for those that didn't really eat much, we were really hungry and craving for something that wasn't an uncrustable or a grilled cheese sandwich in a hotel room... that's the convention diet! So if you go here, you're going to notice that there's a lot of new decorations with projectors showing all the cool repeating koi fish swimming display in unison. It really looks cool and it seems like K-POT decided to step up their decor a bit. When you sit down, you have induction heaters if you do decide to go with Hot Pot, or a grill in the middle if you plan to go with eating KBBQ. My group of course like having both options; we like to eat as much as we can so you got to get your moneys worth. There's a time limit of two hours, though I can never tell how long or how much time we have left really. You order everything a la carte through the iPad that they have there. There's options for Meat, Vegetables, Rice & Noodles, and more for both Hot Pot/KBBQ. Lots of good selections to pick from honestly. When you're done ordering you get your broth for Hot Pot, and your grill is turned on for you to start grilling. Then pretty much afterwards it gets very chaotic quick. Many big plates filled with the a la carte items you order are placed there. Meats are in smaller plates but separated by a black/red color scheme, letting you know which one is for hot pot (black), and which one is for KBBQ (red). When you have a group, there's not much room for anything to get really. Try not to order too much, or I suppose just try to clear the table as much as you can. There's a buffet bar and a sauce bar that you can visit. If you like anything appetizer related, this is probably where they moved all of the options that used to be ordered on the iPad as a la carte. I'm sure these items at the buffet bar are popular so it'd make sense. The sauce bar, well with a small bowl you can fill to your hearts content with anything you'd like to dip your meats/vegetables in. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention there's a fridge with drinks you can grab for your duration at the restaurant. It's no bubble tea but it's cool that you can just get as much sweet drinks as long it's there for you to grab. I don't really have a strategy when eating at KPOT, but definitely try to avoid eating noodles/rice or drinking anything that's not water. You'll get full fast. Overall, there's lots of ample parking for everyone to park, the food is great for the value, I could come back anytime for food. AYCE for both KBBQ/Hot Pot is just amazing on it's own.

Geeg S.

Yelp
The food is delicious! The food came quickly. The vegetables were fresh, the meats were nicely cut, and the buffet has great options! The service was quick and efficient. The ambiance is as expected in buffets and kbbq shops. The cocktails were not good. Just stick with water or pop.

Sangho K.

Yelp
Right from the entrance, the space was very clean and organized and greeted by the servers right away. I had the Korean seafood tofu soup base and my wife got the Thai Tom Yum soup base. Both were very good and better than some hotpot soup Ive had before. The veggies and meat are a bit small portioned so make sure to order a bit more for the first round. The shrimp paste side was unexpectedly good and recommended over the shumai or shrimp dumplings (which are frozen). Make sure to pick up a lychee or mango tea by the front entrance as part of the AYCE experience (I don't recommend the taro as it tastes watered down)

Kandace K.

Yelp
I'd give this place 100 stars if I could, honestly. The lunch special? Half off including the KBBQ, Hot Pot, and Hot Bar with unlimited milk and fruit tea for your entire table. For two people and like twenty servings of food (we're big backed) was $54.00 (and it would've been less if I wouldn't have gotten a Diet Coke) and in todays economy? You really can't beat that. Besides, it's so easy to order at the table. You don't have to wait for the waiter to come and check on you because this place has iPads that you order from. So, yeah. New favourite place.

Tommy Y.

Yelp
KPot at its core and concept is a great idea, combination of AYCE Hot Pot and KBBQ, plus cocktails and drinks, it's always a fantastic hangout group meal spot! What I appreciate the most about KPOT is their nice variety of selection for everything: Hot Pot soup base's & ingredients, KBBQ meats, the sauce and sides bar, there will definitely be something for everyone. For Hot Pot I usually like to get their Thai Tom Yum soup base, as it's the most unique option and has a good spice and flavor to it. For the KBBQ, the quality of some of the meats don't really stand out, but for AYCE it is good enough. I do have to point out though that I love their selection of meats, they have some pretty expensive cuts that you don't normally see on AYCE menus: Galbi short rib on AYCE is very rare, pork cheek/jowls are fatty and very delicious, and they have seafood options like the spicy salmon & octopus! The service is pretty nice, servers are friendly and you can order off an iPad whenever you want to order more food, which is super convenient. All in all, definitely one of the better options for AYCE non a la carte KBBQ in Rockville!

Jessica L.

Yelp
We love this place. Always a crowd favorite even with the kids and it's fun. We've been coming for years and it keeps getting better. Yay!

Joshua K.

Yelp
An excellent experience! I recently went with a friend for a weekday lunch and we got the hot pot experience. At $20 for all-you-can-eat hot pot, it is extremely affordable. You get a large bowl of soup with unlimited food and they have a bar with additional sauces for the soup; note that they can charge you $14 a pound for any uneaten food to discourage overordering (If you have a few pieces of food leftover, you will be fine). The ambiance was fine; dim lighting with background Korean music. Overall our service was fine; it did take some time on occasion to get our toppings and check. For the hot pot, I got the shrimp/clam broth. For vegetarians they have two vegetarian broth options; every other broth is chicken-, seafood-, or pork-based. The broth and food options were delicious; about 50 options of meat, seafood, vegetables, and toppings. The hot pot was especially nice as it was a raw, gray day and I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. I highly recommend for your next casual outing, especially with winter coming!

Shelby P.

Yelp
Love the concept. If you want both Korean bbq and hotpot you can get both. I wish that people could get different things at the table as in 1 person gets hot pot and the other bbq without getting charged the up charge. I love that you can just order off the iPad so you don't need to wait for the waiter to come around. Great amount of options and the sauce bar is super extensive. I liked all the meats that came out and surprised that the shrimp were as good as they were. Our waiter was super attentive which was great. I will say at the bar the self serve kimchi tasted awful.

Genevieve D.

Yelp
My family and I have been going to this restaurant to celebrate various events over the past few years. You get a bang for your buck here, truly. The food is good. The only thing I'd say is you just have to be patient. The staff try their very best to keep up with all tables' orders. It's always packed. Just like with any place, there are friendly workers and not so friendly ones. All in all, it's a great place to dine with a big party, all year round. PS: Kyle was a great server tonight! Very kind, smiley and hardworking!

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Kayle was our server, she was very nice and helpful, checked up on us and brought everything to our table in a timely manner.

Lei D.

Yelp
I went to this place with a couple of my friends, and it's not really clean in the first place, as tables are sticky. Also, the meats and menu items that we ordered tasted mediocre, and even if we tried spicing things up with different hot pot toppings, it still tastes decent. We also got an order of Korean BBQ, with short rib and beef bulgogi, but they seemed to be unseasoned and doesn't taste well. For the price, not really worth it for its taste, but the atmosphere is nice, as I've seen the staff come together to sing happy birthday to someone on the other table and was really accommodating of my friend's kid. Overall, service is decent, and food is 5/10.

Kristy W.

Yelp
I recently came here for the first time to celebrate my sister's birthday, and we chose the ayce hot pot for $30/person. The staff was friendly, and the convenience of ordering food directly from the table using the provided iPad was a nice touch, since it eliminated the need to wait for a waiter to take our orders. The restaurant features an extensive sauce bar, and I made mine with a mix of peanut sauce, sweet and spicy sauce, garlic, cilantro, and green onions, which was delicious. There's a hot bar with appetizers and desserts, albeit with a limited variety of Korean side dishes. They also offer free milk and fruit teas, but since there wasn't any boba in them, we didn't end up trying them. I asked if they offered any birthday specials, but they only sing happy birthday to you which was a bit disappointing. Towards the end of our meal, we requested our check twice using the iPad and eventually had to go to the front desk to ask because our waiter was absent. A different waiter came back to give us our check, and I noticed our original waiter was sitting in one of the front booths eating... Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was quite positive. I would definitely return and look forward to trying their KBBQ next time.

Jay L.

Yelp
Always delicious and huge varieties. Never disappoint. Their selection of meat is excellent. Service super fast and attentive. Highly recommend.

Drew W.

Yelp
This is a great location with so many options. I have been to other Kpots before and they did not have as many options to choose from. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean but you can see it needs better upkeeping with the floors and high traffic.

Jorge H.

Yelp
service was fantastic ! quick , efficient , and very customer oriented ! Diego was the best server we have had !

Luis A. P.

Yelp
KPOT is a unique restaurant that offers KBBQ as well as Hot Pot - and is served AYCE style. Which is actually really rare to find nowadays. My friends and I drove about an hour, to maybe over an hour to try this place. After for driving for that long, of course there was a wait as well. I believe it was about 45 minutes; I remember it being that they did not take reservations. We were lucky enough to have found this place during one of their specials, priced at $20 for ayce. It's a very generous deal, especially being KBBQ AND HOTPOT. Usually when you go to a KBBQ spot, the cheapest you'll find for all you can eat is $25, and probably around $28 for hotpot. So of course, this is an amazing deal to have 2 in 1. Our server was great, he stopped by a lot to make sure we were well taken care of. This restaurant is pretty big, and has dim lighting. I would highly recommend this spot for a night out on a date or with friends.

Michael S.

Yelp
The service here is top-notch. Our server was incredibly attentive, ensuring our food arrived promptly. This Korean hotpot spot is fantastic! They went above and beyond with his friendly and speedy service, making our dining experience exceptional. Overall, it was an excellent experience. During a recent weekday lunch with a friend, we tried their hot pot offering, priced at just $20 for all-you-can-eat. It's a steal considering the generous portions and variety. The ambiance is cozy, with dim lighting and Korean music in the background. Our service was decent, although there were occasional delays in getting our toppings and the check. I opted for the regular pork broth for the hot pot. The broth and food choices were delectable, with a wide range of meats, seafood, vegetables, and toppings. It was the perfect meal for a gloomy day, and I didn't feel the need to eat for the rest of the day. I highly recommend this spot for a casual outing, especially as winter approaches!

Joel V.

Yelp
Wonderful food, variety and service, great atmosphere and food Yummy meat, yummy vegetables and good server Christine

Rachelle S.

Yelp
Let me start by saying this: our server was not the most talkative and didn't explain anything to us other than how to order meat. We had no idea until more than halfway through our meal that there was a get it yourself bar in the back and how to use the inductions for the hot pot. We had a great time and enjoyed many of the options available to us. I really like being able to order our meats and veggies from a tablet. I've never had hotpot before until this and I can truly say I enjoyed it! Our waiter was pretty cool when it came down to recommendations.

Dee R.

Yelp
Hands-on all you can eat My first experience of a Korean bbq joint 1. This one is in a very unassuming "strip mall" down from Aldi's Parking wasn't bad middle of the afternoon on a Friday... 2. Much larger inside, and friendlier, than outside appearance. 3. Eat-in only. No exceptions (except they did let me take my last few sips of my drink with me) PREMISE (recall, this is my first time) For $20 (lunch) You choose your own food. You cook your own food. There is a small " pre-cooked all you can eat" appetizer bar that comes w your meal. You can grab some wings and noodles and egg rolls before your food arrives to be cooked. And you can grab desserts afterwards I chose two beefs and one chicken, and all the vegetable options! Appetizers were just "ok"...no seasoning on the wings, and the noodles had been out for awhile A side of white rice and a bowl of large leaf romaine leaves was placed on the table when she brought me the meats and veggies My waitress helped me w the mixture of sauce options for my main meal..and once she brought the food she showed me how to cook half of it Yes. I know how to cook lol. However, I usually cook "standing over" my pots and pans. Sitting, and "height challenged" (5 1.5), the average person doesn't realize how "far away" the center of the table is..and THEN it drops down-in a couple of inches. So I'm trying to cook, arms over extended, thus it's not the most comfortable position. Chicken takes longer to cook than the beef. But we got it done, and the marinade for all three was delish! She swapped out the "frying pan" after the meat, so I could then do the vegetables. then abandoned me and I was left to fend for myself w the peppers onions mushrooms potato and pumpkin... I made it through, and she seemed pleased at my work when she conveniently returned only AFTER they were done She suggested that, like many Koreans, I use the leafs to add my food, wrap, and eat with my hands...great idea.. and I was filled quite quickly!! Thought the meat and rice had cooled a bit, by the time i finished the veggies, wrapping it all in the lettuce -the hot veggies were enough to make the wrap warm and a nice mix of chew texture All said and done, I prob had 2-3wraps, and enough for another, but was too full. Alas. I couldn't take the remnants with me (see no 3 above). Waitress said I could sit awhile and wait for my tummy to make room in order to finish it off...but I opted to waddle to my car and continue my afternoon Ambiance was pleasant. Waitstaff very helpful. Bathroom clean. And overall a cool $20 cooking food experience Would likely do again, if friends were going, and a "seat pillow/step" was an option to help me reach and cook But prob not likely to go again, alone Recommend!!

Yixin L.

Yelp
Nice selection of meat for lunch bbq. We enjoyed the spicy sliced beef for appetizer and the sweet tapioca and jelly drink for dessert. They also had all you can drank taro and green milk tea but the taro was too sweet and green milk tea was too grainy. The meat was nicely seasoned and we enjoyed the soft steak. They had a good selection for appetizers and dessert. We arrived a few minutes before 12pm and they made us and the baby stand outside in the rain instead of letting us wait inside in the inside waiting area.

Karla W.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in the entire DMV. May be a long review but please read: I come to this restaurant all the time and I live in NW, DC. I have come to this place with large parties, small ones, and eaten alone here. NEVER has this place failed me. Everything is delicious, great bang for your buck, now they have unlimited boba drinks, fries/chicken nuggets as you "wait" for your food to come out although service is always TOP TIER here. Also, a creep individual was not letting me eat my food when I came alone and the bartender intervened and politely removed this person from the establishment. They protected my peace, body, and gave me a free drink. I love this place! Food: 5 stars Drinks: 5.5 stars Service: 10 stars Ambiance: 10 stars

Mimi W.

Yelp
Located at a shopping center by the train tracks, not the best location, but lots of free parking and it is spacious and clean. They have bigger tables to accommodate bigger parties too. This rating is based off of an AYCE place, so don't eat and bring your appetite to get your money's worth lol! Best deal is to come during lunch, but it's worth it even at dinner pricing if you skip lunch. The service was good whenever I went, but do expect to cook your own food. All of the meat was pretty fresh. There is a whole station at the back with sauces and some desserts like fruits and tapioca. Adding the hot pot option I think was an extra $5 which might be worth it if you've never had hot pot and want to try. Definitely get some sauces if you've never had hotpot... you're boiling food in a broth, so the flavor will come from dipping in the sauces mostly. Most people come for the Korean bbq and that's probably where you'll get your money's worth, so you might not want the hot pot option. Overall a solid 4 star for an AYCE place compared to price!

Minxuan H.

Yelp
We have been coming to here for years. The combination of food variety and the price is unbeatable. Staff are nice and working hard to ensure you get your food so quickly. Sometimes the soup flavor like salty level could be unpredictable.

Yelp
I had a great meal here and well worth the 18.99 for all you can eat weekday hot pot meal even though I'm sure I didn't eat as much as is humanly possible. BROTH: we tried the Tom Yum and the soondobu (spicy Korean seafood and tofu). Both were very flavorful from the beginning and with any hot pot the broth only gets better as it takes on the flavor of everything you cook inside. The Tom Yum is mildly spicy but has a good hit of acid. I'd probably get that one next time. The other broth was spicier and had great flavor, too. SAUCE AND SMALL BITES BAR: lots of options to help yourself to. There's fried chicken, jap chae Korean sweet potato noodles with veg, sesame fried round balls, kimchi, several types of fruit, and then a lot of sauces to choose from. I recommend the fried chicken which is perfectly crispy and salted, the Kim chi, and as a palate cleanser after the meal, the honeydew pineapple and orange, which were all perfectly ripe. MEAT: we loved both the lamb and black pork. Both were tender and fresh and very flavorful. Tripe was excellent and clean, pig blood was fine but doesn't take on the broth flavor so I'd skip next time. SEAFOOD: I liked the fish which was quite fresh. The squid was also fresh and comes in pretty big chunks but it doesn't take on flavor as much as other items. The clams were fine but unmemorable. VEG&TOFU: loved the seaweed knots, fish tofu, black fungus, oyster mushrooms, winter melon, daikon, napa cabbage, bean curd skins, and crunchy lotus root. NOODLES&RICE: the ramen noodles and pho noodles were good though the pho noodles are too thin to be pho noodles. They also have rice cakes vermicelli and mei fun. Portion sizes are small on purpose so you can have more variety and minimize food waste. You can always order more. Two hours for the meal seems reasonable and very generous for hot pot. They give each diner a separate broth bowl so you don't have to get the same broth as someone else. They have induction cook tops and great ventilation. Service is quite friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It's nicely decorated inside and spread out which is pleasant enough. All in all, a great joint we will revisit before too long. Also looks like kids under the age of 4 are free which is great!

Yelp
Love this place! Definitely one of our go-tos in Maryland. Been here well over 5 times and we keep coming back. You can't go wrong with both hot pot and KBBQ AYCE spot! Love their healthy herbs broth and the Szechuan spicy broth is definitely solid here as well. Service is 10 out of 10! Every time we've been here, the service has been consistently AMAZING. Staff is super attentive and friendly. This establishment should be the model for customer service. Tonight was a great night to come in, included in the dinner special at this time are crab legs - y'all really out here outdoing yourselves! My only complaint is that the floors can be slippery likely due to the material and whenever liquid spills. There are warnings posted about regarding this FYI, so wear shoes with a good grip. Will continue coming back.

Yelp
It is not a Korean BBQ restaurant, they do not have Korean appetizer, like Kim Chee, etc. They are like Chinese style and imitating Korean style. First order, food was serving to your table fast. Seond and third order, food was serving slow and slow down. Fourth order, they brought a bill to you. Feeling like we had limited buffet... We did not feel satisfied of eaten enough. The buffet is limited for two hours. After that, they hope you write a fake 5 stars review which you will receive 10% discount off of your meal. I can understand how some people refused to pay and left the restaurant. There are pictures on the front enterance door...

Yelp
I've been coming here for a while and it's been okay. Foods fine but the costumer service needs some help. The first bad encounter I had was that the grill at the table was not working and had to move tables and in the mean time they were trash talking their boss/manager which is very unprofessional. Then my most recent experience I asked for a table of 5 and was told to wait which is normal. But then I see that the manger had sat 4 other parties and not our party. She didn't even have the courtesy of letting us know why or what was happening until I got up and asked and she gave me attitude by the way when I asked. Training is needed for her and the employees.

Yelp
Not the greatest but I guess gets the job done if you have a really big party and need a table for KBBQ. I would suggest other places if you're up for hotpot and the KBBQ meats are kind of bland, dry, and you have to order many many many portions to get as much as other KBBQ places with a single order. The hot food section appears lacking compared to Gaithersburg and it also seems a bit dirty inside. I give 3 stars for fast service and the ability to seat large groups without too long of a wait.

Yelp
The Food was amazing and my server Antonio was very respectful and kind. He was very engaged and friend and we had conversations that made me feel welcome.

Yelp
I would say this is the best KBBQ for me around the DMV area. They have top quality meat and I love how you can add unlimited hot pot on your kbbq for only $5! Every bite tastes good and full of flavor! Service is excellent! I love how they give you the ipad to put your order in and then few minutes after they bring you your order already! Staff are friendly and helpful in explaining about how to cook as well as cooking time! I love the kpop background music! Great for big party! I would definitely come back!

Yelp
A decent place for kbbq and hotpot! Lunch is decently calm but if you come for dinner on a weekend expect to wait a bit. Lunch menu is a lot more limited though. There's a waitlist online if you plan accordingly. I have enjoyed kpot a lot with friends and family. Food is good and there's a lot to choose from. However my recent experience here on a Saturday evening really felt rushed. I hadn't been here in a while and well I didn't like it. My server kept coming over and asking if I was going to order more off the iPad or if I was going to grill more meat. There was already a lot of food cooked so my friend and I wanted to finish that first before ordering more. However my server kept rushing us as if we weren't allowed to relax and enjoy the food we had just cooked. Probably won't be coming for dinner anymore if all they care about is how many tables they can get as possible. I came here to enjoy the ambiance and food but left feeling really rushed and annoyed.

Yelp
Took the baby bro here for lunch for his birthday. On the weekends, the price is $30.99 plus $5 if you wanted to add BBQ to it. Very tempting offer, but the hot pot alone was filling enough! I chose the Thai Tom Yum and my brother had the Japanese Miso. The Tom Yum was good, had a hint of spice to it, nothing overbearing, definitely a good choice. Such a great selection of meat, seafood, veggies - so excited that they had lotus root! Service was quick, once we were ready to order more items, they were basically there as soon as we hit send. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This might be the first hot pot spot I've been to where service is a real thing and I loved every second of it! The staff was so helpful, didn't matter if they weren't assigned to your table, if you needed something, they were there and ready to make it happen. The options for hot pot were great! Tom yum and s'échina broths were our choices. I loved that they make an effort to be low waste and actually have signs everywhere. You walk in and the moment you are seated you've got 2 hrs to dine and close out your check. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here and will be back.

Yelp
This is my second time back at KPOT at this location and again I've had a wonderful experience. Customer service was quick & pleasant. The quality of the food was 9/10. We had a great time.

Yelp
Acceptable food & great service. We enjoy our hotpot here because there are variety of vegetables & toppings on pot. Today we tried BBQ too, but Only some types of BBQ beef are good taste like Steak & Ribs. Ribs are fatty. Luat- our service guy today is great. He is so enthusisatic, friendly & helpful

Yelp
This was my first Korean BBQ experience, recommended by one of my friends. We went as a group of 12 and got seated pretty quickly, the restaurant area is large-- lots of spots available for big groups (and small). For service, you order your food through an iPad, drinks through the waiter-- everyone was attentive and the food comes out really fast. The table itself is centered around two grills, with each seat also having a small hot plate warmer that you can control for the hot pot broth. We ordered unlimited kbbq and hot pot for our table (if any one person chooses this option then the whole table has to do it as well). I had the miso broth hot pot and added the udon noodles and rice cakes, as well as the think pieces of beef that you cook in the broth. The broth was really flavorful on its own, but I also chose to add in some oyster sauce and chili oil. For the Korean bbq part, we got steak, ribs, pork belly, chicken, prawns, and shrimp. The ribs and chicken came marinated and full of flavor. Overall, the restaurant had great options for food and nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this if you're coming with a large group!

Yelp
Fried chicken, that's all I'mma say. Not the popcorn chicken -- the fried chicken. As a part of the --- OH, I got ahead of myself, let me tell you about this place. KPOT is located in Rockville near Mom's -- and it's as busy as your usual KBBQ or Hot Pot spot -- btw, as the name implies, they have both. It's kind of hard to pinpoint an exact time to meet up with friends on weekends, since there will most likely always be a wait. Thankfully, if you go to Google you can immediately hop on the waitlist and you'll see where you are on the list. They'll call and text you when you're up! Depending on how far you live, I would recommend showing up once you think you'll arrive just as it's your turn. They also don't require your entire party to be present, but do note that the time starts once you're seated -- you have 2 hours. So my party of 5 showed up and we decided to do both Hot Pot AND KBBQ (it's an additional $3 for both. Price-wise, it's also quite affordable compared to some other places. I had pretty much every meat, but especially liked the pork belly and the dumplings... oh, and the FRIED CHICKEN! Seriously, AYCE fried chicken alone is a treasure. And it's so darn good! It was surprising that the popcorn chicken was no way as flavorful or pleasing. We also had some cocktails that were really good -- like their margaritas. The low point of the evening was the sauces -- most of the sauces we had were extra watery, and just tasted like a shell of what they were supposed to. Some exceptions were the chili paste and kimchi which were amazing. If you haven't tried KPOT already, go. Plan accordingly!
