"A perennial Inland Empire food all-star, Kra Z Kai’s first rose to prominence in 2019. The Corona location has since closed, as Kra Z Kai’s has opted to open two locations inside the Rodeo food halls in Stanton and Ontario. Grilled meat is of course the star of the show here, along with marinated barbecue beef short ribs, housemade sausages, and barbecue pork ribs. Sampler platters come with one piece each of chicken, beef short rib, sausage, and a pork rib." - Sean Vukan

Yelp
The best Lao Food in the IE is now closed! What a disappointing day... drove all the way from LA just to see them closed... Everything was great at this restaurant sad to see them closed. Good luck with everything!

Julius L.

Yelp
So sad that they are closed now. Just found out yesterday when i was craving a nice and refreshing thai tea for only $4. To our family, this news is so shocking because kraz kai is our most favorite restaurant for years and we thought they were doing well. We always drop by and get laotian thai tea and beef jerky togo because it's only 5 minutes away. Their food is great and give you that good sour and savory kick with the special sauce. If you haven't had it, give their oc location a try. And for the owners, Thanks for serving such amazing food for these years so close to us. We'll be going to your oc location from now on.

Yelp
Highly recommend getting the Lao BBQ Mix if it's your first time here! You get a sample of most of the protein! It comes with a juicy chicken thigh, tender easy-off-the-bone pork rib, perfectly seasoned short ribs, and an amazing sausage that you wish that they put more of in here! You can choose to get sticky rice or regular steamed rice. Or you can get fried rice for an extra dollar. The plate also comes with a side of garden salad OR you can upgrade to a full sized papaya salad for an extra $10. Honestly, it's worth it. The papaya salad is refreshing and spicy. The food came out pretty quickly, I think I waited about 15-20 minutes. This is inside the food hall so there's lots of available seating. It's also bright and very clean.

Yelp
Well so they claim to have the BEST southeast Asian food around.... They are not lying that's for sure. I live across the street from Kai's and have been meaning to try it. Thank god I did. Food was bomb bomb bomb. And as you can see the portions are huge. So next time you're in the Ontario ranch area and you're craving some delicious food, come give this place a try. Till next time my fellow yelpers

Yelp
I'm so sad to see that they closed!! ): Saw this sign outside when I was craving their Laotian mini bowls again this week. Thank you everyone for all the delicious food. You guys are awesome. Will definitely miss the food here, especially their beef ribs and chicken and amazing sauces. Where else will I find simply delicious rice and meat like this nearby?!

Yelp
The place is located inside Rodeo X, plenty of spacious parking. I believe it's my first time trying Laotian food and I'm glad I tried it here. I bought a mix combo plate with the fried rice substitute and ate it at the bar inside the building. In comparison to Thai food, it seem a bit sweeter but all the meat was delicious. The sausage was flavorful and juicy, reminded me of fillings inside a dumpling. Bbq chicken, ribs were all really good with the meat falling off the bones. Was a pretty big plate, I had to take it home to eat as leftovers.

Priscilla D.

Yelp
We haven't eaten here since they've moved from Corona. We were in the neighborhood and decided to come to check it out. They are located inside the RodeoX building. We were very shock to find this place was so empty and they only had two restaurants and a bar. None of the restaurants have fountain drinks. They do have can sodas or fruity drinks. Refills are $1 for their fruity drinks. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The restaurant itself is very small compared to the one in Corona. The quality of food was the same. I missed their lemongrass salsa so much and it was still delicious. The prices have went up but I'm sure it's due to inflation prices with everything. If you check in on Yelp, you get a free Thai tea and it's really good. I'm glad we got to stop by and eat some yummy food.

Yelp
As someone who has grown up eating Laotian food, this place is LEGIT. Came to pick up one order of each plate they had on the menu with a side order of jaewbong. Forgot to get their papaya salad but you can't go wrong with ANY of the plates. I'd recommend the mixed option though so you can get a little taste of their top picks. Get the sticky rice! I loved how it was wrapped in a plastic sandwich bag and enclosed in aluminum foil. Even after a night, the leftovers were still soft and delicious! I've had several different jaewbong in my life, this one hits close to home. 5/5 would recommend. Also the plates come with a side salad and the peppers are hella spicy.

Yelp
My hubby and I decided to come to RodeoX because we wanted to hit up the Brewery and I wanted to try Kra's Lao papaya salad. So it was a win win! #1 the customer service was top notch! Everyone working was friendly, welcoming, and full of smiles. I really enjoyed the vibe they had going on. I ordered their short rib plate with rice for my husband and I got their papaya salad extra spicy Lao spicy. Because Lao cuisine is suppose to be even spicer than Thai cuisine. I love me some spicy food!!! Now, the short ribs and rice were good but the rice was a bit clumpy but still tasty. The papaya salad was good and it was super spicy!!!! Now, the difference between Lao papaya salad and Thai is that Lao has no sweetness and lime in it Or at least this one didn't. This papaya salad was more heavy on fish sauce and super spicy. I ate it all it was hot AF! Lol I couldn't drink all the juice like I do with Thai papaya salad because it was soooooo hot. Lol I think I prefer Thai over Lao but I'd definitely get this salad again. After eating our food I decided to grab a pineapple dole whip. It was soooooooo good so fresh and refreshing. Omg why haven't we had this before. I feel like we've been missing out. Lol So damn good! My husband and I agree that Kra has some delicious food and that they are definitely on our radar now! You'll be seeing us again for sure :)

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here ever since I read about the restaurant in Westways. I checked the hours on their website and set my Google maps to drive about 30 minutes out of my way adding to my two hour drive home. I arrive, park and find them closed. Seriously. Update your website.

Tina G.

Yelp
The Thai Tea with Soft Serve Vanilla Ice Cream is Ahhhhhhmazing! I came to Rodeo X for something else but the ice cream caught my eye. The staff member was so nice and gave me a big sample of pineapple soft serve since I was torn. But the Thai tea a la mode was different and tastier then I imagined. Next time I'll try bbq but for now... You scream and I'll dream of Thai Tea Ice Cream!

Melissa W.

Yelp
OMG I have been sleeping on this delicious barbecue and I'm so glad I got to try it recently. I had their mini beef short ribs bowl for lunch and I would say to get this if you want a light lunch. If you're hungry or eat more, I would go for their regular sized meal. It did take a while for us to get our food but the cashier was super helpful and friendly and the food was worth the wait. The short ribs were seasoned and flavored so perfectly. Check in on Yelp for a free Lao iced tea. Since I can't have dairy, I got the coconut juice instead and it was refreshing on a hot summer day

Vivian L.

Yelp
If you order online, you get 10% off. It's inside Rodeo X. I've tried this place at Rodeo 39 and my family loved it!! We were excited to have it close to home and I've been introducing my friends to this place. I highly recommend the combo platter to get a taste of everything. My favorite is their sausage. It's flavorful and it goes well with their sticky rice. Definitely order the sticky rice it's so fun to eat. My boyfriend love their chicken thighs and they also had a special deal for it too. I also tried their papaya salad and it was very yummy. I love the crunchy texture and the flavor. Customer service is very friendly and quick. We went on Sunday and it was surprisingly quiet and no wait. They also have dole whip too.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Bomb bomb bomb. I don't know what else to tell you but that you have to try this place ! The bbq was sooo delicious. So flavorful ! And the papaya salad had just the right amount of fish sauce and crunch ! (Sometimes som papaya salads are too fish saucey) . I can not wait to come back here to try the other meats !

Alisa B.

Yelp
THE BEST Lao-style pork ribs I have ever had. The meat falls off the bone due to its tenderness. It's incredibly flavorful as well. Pair it with the sticky rice? It's toooo good! I also recommend their Lao sausage plate! Flavorful and fatty sausage. They make it mild, which I really appreciate. They give some bird's eye chili if you need a kick. The biggest downside for me was their jeow (Lao dipping sauce). It lacked padak and fish sauce for me. It just tasted like a basic tomato sauce.

Rosalie H.

Yelp
I've had their Corona location bookmarked for a while and found out about them moving to Ontario Ranch inside Rodeo X. I ordered their chicken with fried rice while hubby had their combo with sausage, chicken, ribs and bbq. We also ordered a side of the papaya salad everyone on Yelp keeps raving about. All I have to say is wow...so satisfying and so delicious. Chicken has a tasty glaze to it- bit of sweet and savory. Hubby loved all his meats too and I was lucky to get a bite of the sausage and ribs. Their fried rice is also worth a try with pieces of egg, peas, and carrot. We also ordered the green papaya salad - which was a generous portion with grape tomatoes, Chinese string beans ,shredded green papaya all tossed in fish sauce- don't worry it doesn't taste fishy at all We enjoyed our meal and looked forward to returning!

Yelp
I got a Lao BBQ Chicken Plate and my goodness this is 5/5. Priced at $10.99 Marinated in Kra-Z-Kai's Special Marinade then Grilled with Kra-Z-Kai's Lao BBQ Sauce. Amazing chicken so flavorful and the meat is so soft. It came with 3 chicken pieces and 3 cups of your choice of brown or white rice. Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
My overall experience here was a mixed bag. The restaurant is a stall in Rodeo X focused on take-out orders. The menu is clear-cut and a little on the pricey side. The man behind the counter was very kind, though the service did take a while. I had a free fountain drink for checking in, and he let me cash it for one of their refreshers. ~Order~ Side Soy Sesame Salad: This salad came with all the dishes because we substituted it for rice. The salads were fresh, and the dressing was yummy. I ended up eating three of them (more on that later). Lao Beef Dip Plate: My mom ordered this and liked it. The beef was cooked well, and the portion size was pretty good. Lao Papaya Salad: When this dish arrived, it smelled rotten. I took a small bite to test it, which tasted quite bad. I double-checked with my family to see, and they agreed something was terrible. We went up to the counter to return it, and he claimed it was the fish sauce, and some people did not like it. As someone who cooks with fish sauce nearly daily, I can confirm that was not the issue. However, they did give us two side salads in replacement for it. Lao BBQ Mix Plate: My dad ordered this and enjoyed it. All the flavors went well together, and the meat was cooked well. Lao Sausage Plate: I really enjoyed this dish. Out of everything, I think this was my favorite. It had a fun flavor profile and went well with their sauce. If I were to return, I would recommend ordering this dish! Cantaloupe Refresher: This drink tasted exactly like a fresh cantaloupe, so I enjoyed it!

Yelp
I came here with my friends after playing golf in the area. This is one of the vendors located in a food court. Some of my friends recommended this place. I ordered the chicken combination with fried rice. They also offered check-in in Yelp for a free Thai ice tea or fountain drinks. I chose Thai ice tea. The Thai-ice tea was a bit watery and it had too much milk in it. It would be better if the tea base is stronger. The chicken was amazing. The chicken skin was crispy, and it was gazed with honey on top. It has a bit of sweetness. The chicken was very tender and the bone fell off the meat. My mouth is watering when writing this review. Staff was friendly, and service was pretty fast with a little room for improvement. I will come back again.

Yelp
HELPFUL TIP: This restaurant is located INSIDE RODEO X (which is like a food court) TL;DR: unassuming food court take out place with DELICIOUS Lao food (think Thai+Hawaiian maybe?) at a reasonable price! Was objectively good, not just "good for Ontario" AMBIENCE: Don't get confused and discouraged like me when you walk around the parking lot looking for this place. It's INSIDE Rodeo X! I know it's a weird name and there's no signage, but I guess Rodeo X CONTAINS some food court options inside it, including a bar with a bunch of TVs. It was very confusing tbh. But look for it because it's actually good. Once you go inside Rodeo X you'll see a bunch of TVs with sports playing, a bar, and a lot of tables like a food court. Look in the way back and you'll see a couple of food counters including this one! FOOD: There was one man working the register and running back and forth between the back. He was working really hard! I was impressed. It's counter service so we placed our order for the papaya salad and we decided to add on a BBQ chicken thigh on the side to give it a try. Then we checked in on Yelp for a free Thai tea. The prices were fair for the salad ($11-12) and the thigh was less than $5. The papaya salad was really fresh, cool, and healthy! It also had a pretty good spicy kick to it! The one order of side BBQ chicken thigh actually had 2 thighs, which I felt was very generous for the price. It was SO flavorful, tender, and delicious. I really wish we had gotten more. The Thai tea was pretty solid, honestly. As expected for most Thai teas, it was pretty sweet (we usually get 0-50% sugar for boba drinks), but it had a good flavor and tasted real, not like powder. Overall I wish I ordered our whole lunch from here rather than trying the other restaurants in the food court. I don't have a lot of experience with Lao food, but I felt like it was solid for food in general- not just like it was better than I was expecting for Ontario (even though it was)!!

Michelle Y.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped in because he has never had Laos food before being that I am Hmong I told him to try it. It's located in the Rodeo X food court, lots of parking and there's also sitting areas with tables there. We ordered to go. I ordered the papaya salad because I wanted something light. He ordered a combo plate. Food was better than I expected and I really liked my papaya salad. Staff was friendly and service was good.

Larae S.

Yelp
Authentic Laotian BBQ, we have been here twice and really like the food! We have gotten the short ribs 2x and today I tried the chicken thigh. Yummy!!!! The map location is wrong, it's located inside the RodeoX One suggestion, customer service needs some improvement. The tall guy with the beard always acts as if we are putting him out during the ordering process. Great food needs great service, I hope they improve the way the interact and treat customers.

Leo C.

Yelp
Oh man the food here is 100%. We've tried Laotian sausages at various places, but this takes the cake. We always order extra so my wife has some for a late night snack. Nestled in a food court, it's open seating with a few high chairs. Kind of like a mix between a small food court / packing house. I recommend taking food to go, and eat at home. So you can easily wash hands after eating. There are restrooms, but they're on the side of the building. We've had all the dishes here, including all the spicy sauces. And they are all good. Very BBQ style Laotian food. Choose the sticky rice too. You eat it with your hand and stuff it into your mouth. It goes really well with the meat dishes. They can take phone orders, but you'll have to provide your CC info over the phone.

Yelp
Came here for Kra Z Kai's Grand Opening Day 09.24.22 Located in RodeoXPM Food Court. Kra Z Kai's is known for their Best Lao Bbq. Once you've had a taste of the finger licking tender smoked grilled chicken along w the other yummy options of protein. You'll know what I'm talking about. ~Lao BBQ Mix Plate recommended, so you can have a sample of all the popular proteins Kra Z Kai's have to offer. Which includes the Lao Sausage, their scrumptious honey like glazed w so many different varieties of herbs chicken, Lao pork Rib & Lao Beef short Rib. Comes with your choice of rice. I prefer the original Sweet aka Sticky Rice. Dipped in the tomato Laos dipping sauce. ~Lao Papaya, is a must! Great when it's mild or spicy level. Wrap it w the cabbage provided to enjoy with your entree. ~Lao Iced Tea. Is definitely a great drink option to pair up w your yummy eats.

Marc L.

Yelp
I drove in from Las Vegas for a meeting. I hit Yelp up to find a bbq restaurant for dinner. Kra Z Kai's popped up, so I decided to try for the first time Laotian food. I ordered the Lao Bbq mix and the Papaya salad. Everything was delicious. The depth of flavor on the chicken stood out. My first time trying Papaya salad and it was refreshing and delicious. The service was excellent as well. It was a little difficult to find because it's in the Rodeo X building which houses multiple restaurants and a bar. Very cool concept. I definitely would recommend this restaurant.

Jessica G.

Yelp
This place is great! The food court is still in the works of getting a few more vendors in place but I can see it being super popping once it does. Ribs: super super moist and tender! I normally don't like ribs but this one is amazing!! Sausage: very tender and juicy!!!! Chunks of meat with some veggies. Beef Jerky: on the dry side: Steak Plate: ehh, it could be better. Steak was not over cooked, but it wasn't tender. So it may just be the cut of the meat. BBQ Mix Plate: a little of everything. Chicken was super tender and delicious! Papaya Salad: pretty good! Chile lime sauce: pretty delicious, I personally would've liked more citrus in it since the meats on their menu is already salty and somewhat sweet on certain items. The heat in the sauce was perfect. Hot enough to where you can enjoy more but not overbearing where you need to stop. Lao Thai: complementary when you check in on yelp! SO good! even better when it's free!!

Jagruti L.

Yelp
My family member wanted to try Lao cuisine so this is the closest we found. It is located inside the the Haven food court. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Checkin for free drink.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I came here since I was nearby for an anime pop-up event hosted outside of Rodeo X. This place replaced their Corona location and moved here permanently and opened on August 12. It's located next to Shooters. I chose to get the Laos bbq mix ($17.99) which has sticky rice, Laotian sausage, pork rib, grilled chicken, and grilled short rib beef. The Laotian sausage casing had a good snap to it, the grilled chicken was juicy, the short-rib was tender with lots of meat. My favorite is the pork rib and grilled short rib. All of them were tender to cut with the plastic knife. The jeow mak len is not spicy and the meat is seasoned nicely. They have a yelp check-in for Lao iced tea or fountain drink. The staff is nice and place is clean. They share space with various restaurants. The parking lot is a good size and a good amount of seating that can get packed during the weekend or for an event.

Vicky L.

Yelp
Kra Z Kai has been on my list of places to try and wow I am so happy to finally have gotten to try it yesterday. It's located in the Rodeo X food court, next to Shootz Hawaiian. We ordered the BBQ Chicken plate, Lao Beef Dip plate, Papaya salad, and of course the Dole Whip Icecream. Everything came out fresh and the portions were generous (even for the Dole whip lol). The chicken was so moist. The beef was tender and it's dipping sauces were so so good, paired so well. The papaya salad was delicious. And dang the dole whip was the perfect finish!! Definitely will come back again to try their other plates!!!

Julie T.

Yelp
Finding Laotian food is challenging, especially in certain areas. Having Kra Z Kai as a local choice is such a treat! And the food is amazing. What started as someone who enjoyed cooking and experimented with BBQ, evolved into someone with a dream and the courage to open up his own business. I always admire businesses where you can feel and experience the love the owner puts into it. Try it out if you're ever in the area! There's nothing like Laotian BBQ with some sticky rice.

Stephen K.

Yelp
Overall a great place! Staff was friendly and very tentative! This was my first time trying Laos food and it was very surprising. I got the combo plate and spicy papaya salad. First I loved that the papaya was not overbearing with vinegar, but had great crunch and slightly good kick! The crunchy cabbage helped to cleanse my palate from the main dish. The combo plate came with the best seasoned chicken I have ever had, short ribs, grilled fatty pork, and sausages. I opted for fried rice which is good, but my friends from Laos chose to get sticky rice, which is apparently very close to authentic! All the food here is dense and heavy, so I recommend grabbing a carbonated drink to help alleviate the oils. Other than that, the place is very clean, one of the workers brought us an extra table (since we were a larger party of seven), and the food is delicious! I do want to note that this is a smaller restaurant, so if your party is larger than four people, you may have to tetris around or be creative with the table space you have.

Joel S.

Yelp
Came here as I waited for my wings. I only got two side orders: sausage and jerky. Both were delicious and made me regret not buying ride or noodles to go with the meat. Worker was chill and brought the food to my table. I like this place because it's simple concepts but with seasonings I don't get to eat often.

Bonnie S.

Yelp
The food here is just so good it hurts. I love the Lao beef dip plate. The sauce is like crack and so addicting. The papaya salad is delicious and the salsa is so full of flavor. I like the sticky rice with my order but the fried rice is also very good here. My husband really likes the sausage and my kids really like the bbq chicken plate. Will be a repeat customer here! Highly recommend!

Iris C.

Yelp
Used to love going to this place when it was in Corona. But ever since they move to Ontario, it's been nothing but disappointment. Today I waited 30 mins for a Togo order. If you work and are trying to catch lunch quickly, this is definitely a HUGE pass. Not sure what the workers are doing, but the guy who took my order also cooked the food. So what were the other 2 doing??? This place is a hard pass for lunch when time is limited.

Alan P.

Yelp
After a longgg day out. I was just way too tired to make dinner for tonight's family dinner. I stumbled across Kra Z Kai and was interested trying it. Let's just say, there's hardly any left overs and everything tasted fresh and super delicious. I'm still kinda sweating from the dipping sauces, but my tastebuds are hi fiving one another as if they just underwent a reborn of processing flavors. Anyways make sure to check in to get a free Laotian tea. Super cool staff, great food, and Sucha good location as well. I'm coming back, please stay at this location and never leave.

Catherine T.

Yelp
Located inside Rodeo X Ontario next to Shootz I came on a weekday and the food hall wasn't too busy. There was plenty of parking near the entrance of the building. I ordered the chicken plate with white rice and a Thai tea. Service was very fast. Within 5 minutes, they called my name and texted me to come pick up my food. Reward program available. Friendly staff. Food smelled and tasted delicious! Very pleased I gave them a try!

Beatriz B.

Yelp
This BBQ is delicious ....stop by and get a mix plate ...yummy! The fried rice is so yummy Nice and clean place, friendly staff

Daryl E.

Yelp
Yes. Just go ahead and try it. You will not be disappointed... probably... Enjoyed the food here, and the Thai Iced Tea

Linda G.

Yelp
I have not been to the Ontario location but was sad to stop by the Corona location to see it gone... I will make a trip out to Ontario for a Combination Plate soon... A longer drive but well worth it... GBY ALL

Sam S.

Yelp
Lol basic as shit. It's expensive for the crumbs they give you. The dishes are not even labor intensive, so I can even say the price makes sense for the dishes. If you craving Laos (barely passes), then it's fine, but still not worth it. I am like 90% sure it's rates so high, because options are limited in this area. Head to Santa Ana for better food.

Nami M.

Yelp
I saw a promo on Facebook for this place for a free chicken plate and I figured I'd give it a try and wow, I'm so glad I did! I got the fried rice and chicken plate. Everything tasted so good. I highly recommend paying a dollar more to opt for the fried rice. The chicken was juicy and very flavorful. I recommend everyone to come and try the food here. I'm definitely coming back.

Nina E.

Yelp
We've never had Lao food, but it's Asian food, so I know it'll be close to what we know. Since we've been here a few times since they opened, we have tried a few things in their menu. What stood out for me is the sausage and with the sticky rice. I also love their sauces. It's inside Rodeo X, in the New Haven Marketplace plaza. The place is fast food style with Rodeo X seems to be the main scene(mostly for alcohol) the place can be packed and loud on weeknights with music and almost a party scene.

Kristel Faye T.

Yelp
Kai's always hits the spot. Been supporting their business since they opened their Corona location. This location is in a small food hall, but the food was still on point. I usually get their Lao BBQ Mix with sticky rice and their Papaya Salad (mild to medium - depending on who I'm sharing with). Takes me two meals to finish it all, so if you're not looking for leftovers - don't sleep on their Lao sausage. Soooo delicious!!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
I scarfed down my food, I'm so bummed I didn't get a good pic I got the mix bbq plate w sticky rice Chicken salad both were great

Johnny B.

Yelp
I stopped by to try something new, I had never had Loation BBQ before, what a surprise!!! The flavors of the barbecue mix plate we're incredible and I sprung for the fried rice which was perfect! A good mix of chicken thighs short ribs spare ribs and sausage. The portion size is perfect for me but maybe too large for some diners. The salsa or sauce wasn't my favorite, but I would give it another try. I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try don't be scared be adventurous cuz I know I'll be coming back the next time I'm in Ontario. Do it. Do it!

Linda G.

Yelp
We ordered: -BBQ Mix Plate (chicken, sausage, Pork rib, Beef short rib) with Steamed rice & salad with soy sauce dressing -Beef jerky with Sticky rice & upgrade salad (Papaya salad, mild) -Fried rice Loved the chicken and pork ribs. Chicken had a delicious sweet and savory glaze. The pork rib was really juicy.

Krystal G.

Yelp
This location is located in Rodeo X. Customer service was nice, but when it came down to getting a refund on an item they didn't have, none of the employees had permission to do the refund, they had to call the manger or owner to refund my money. Other than that everything was yummy. Their sauce is so good I always have to buy extra to bring home. We got the BBQ mix with sticky rice (a must try) we also ordered the papaya salad spicy (a little too spicy for me. Definitely going medium next tIme) we would definitely come back here.

RyanandJen D.

Yelp
This place is a hit or miss. There's days when you get bomb food. There's days when you get half cooked rice or moldy cabbage. Inspect your food before you go. Sadly, they tell you that they'll refund you, but won't follow through.

Amy H.

Yelp
The combo platter is :: chefs kiss:: Saaaap! Pair of with khao niao (Sticky rice) and tum mak hoong (papaya salad).

Charles D.

Yelp
I frequent Brew Haven in Rodeo X a lot and would usually stay away from Kra Z Kai's, mostly because I didn't know what Laotian BBQ was. I would see other people at the bar eating it, and eventually I gave in. Man, how did I not know about this earlier??? The food is hella good! I had the pork ribs the first time (as the combo plate was sold out) and I had the combo plate the 2nd time. Both did not disappoint. I had the regular white rice as well as the sticky rice which were both spot on. Even the salad was nice and crisp with their refreshing house salad dressing. The only thing I would recommend is if one item of the combo plate is sold out, just give the option of us being able to double up on something. The chicken was sold out the first time I wanted to get it and the cashier indicated they were not able to double up on anything. I feel that would help business as it allows others to try the variety of food you guys have (although one item may be sold out). Overall great experience and has definitely become my go to every time I am at Rodeo X
