Where to Find Europe's Hottest New Beach Clubs

"It’s the perfect follow-up to a few days in the Greek capital, where the polished suburb of Vouliagmeni, first minted as the Athens Riviera 60 years ago, is now home to the rustic Krabo. This former taverna on Zoska Bay was transformed into a stylish bar on the powdery sands, serving marinated king crab with grilled corn bread, as well as knockout Aperol spritzes with watermelon. The prices—and the crowd, in Fendi glasses and Etro silks—are what to expect when you do make it to the islands."

Overcrowded, small beach, expensive. Table water is 6-10 euro per bottle. Umbrellas and cabanas range from 75 to 250 euro. The location is very pretty and the staff very polite, the waters are clear and there is valet parking. Avoid on weekends.

Top Location. The manager pays attention to it's guest and is always present. When there is a request he is always there to help and solve any issue. The service is fast and flawless, even during the hot hours of the day when resting should be recommended for normal people. Music is great, modern and exactly what to expect from a beach club. All in all absolute recommend.

The food here is truly special—creative, refined, and clearly crafted by chefs with exceptional talent. The gastronomic approach is bold yet thoughtful, and the service reflects genuine care from a team that’s clearly dedicated to creating a memorable experience. The serene setting adds a unique charm that makes the visit even more worthwhile. Although the wine list could benefit from a fresher, more contemporary touch in relation to the Greek labels, there are certainly some standout selections worth exploring. The Sommelier has done a really good job. That said, at this price point, there are a few elements that detract from the overall experience. The venue felt noticeably understaffed, with employees visibly overextended. Drunk patrons dancing and kicking up sand that ended up on diners’ plates disrupted what should have been a calm, elevated evening. Tables were packed tightly together, clearly prioritizing revenue over guest comfort. Within just two hours, we saw multiple guests injure themselves on a poorly placed table set directly in the only walkway—something that should never happen in a space aspiring to fine dining standards. We’ll definitely return for the outstanding food and service, but we sincerely hope management rethinks the layout and atmosphere to better align with the excellence coming from the kitchen.

I brought three friends from the UK to this beach bar in Athens to celebrate a 40th — and it was a huge mistake. The staff, especially the woman on reception, were cold and snobbish. I was judged about my weight, and we were treated like we didn’t belong. They claimed there were no tables, yet seated others ahead of us — and there were plenty of empty tables the whole time. The service was performative, not welcoming. Food was served for show, and we were awkwardly placed at the bar despite wanting a relaxed meal together. I’ve been to some of the most exclusive, high-end venues across Athens — never had an experience like this. It was pretentious, alienating, and frankly embarrassing. This place gives a poor impression of Athens, which is the last thing I wanted for my friends.

Everything was amazing! Super friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, great cocktails, and the whole place has such a beautiful vibe. Loved it and totally recommend Krabo Beach!❤️

Disappointing experience, especially for tourists. I spent €250 for just one day here, and sadly, it felt like I was doing them a favor by being there—not the other way around. The beach itself is small and cozy, which could be nice, but the overall atmosphere was unwelcoming. The manager seemed quite selective about who gets friendly treatment, and as a solo traveler, I didn’t feel particularly valued. For the price and attitude, I honestly wouldn’t recommend it—there are far better options where hospitality matches the setting.

Unprofessional Behavior of Parasol Supervisor at Your Establishment I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate experience I recently had at your establishment. During my visit, I encountered significant issues with the parasol supervisor that I feel compelled to address. First and foremost, I was disappointed by the lack of attention and professionalism displayed by the parasol supervisor. Despite attempting to engage with him regarding my needs, I found that he consistently ignored my presence and failed to address my concerns in a timely manner. This lack of communication led to unnecessary delays and frustrations on my part. Furthermore, I was shocked by the disregard shown towards myself and other guests in terms of the wait times imposed by the supervisor. Despite being assured of a short wait, I ended up waiting for an excessive amount of time without any explanation or apology. This level of disrespect towards guests is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of your establishment. Of particular concern to me was the supervisor's disregard for the well-being of children present at the beach. It is unconscionable to subject young children to extended wait times in hot weather conditions without any regard for their comfort or safety. This negligence is deeply troubling and reflects poorly on the values of your establishment. On a more positive note, I must commend the service staff for their professionalism and dedication to ensuring the satisfaction of guests. Their efforts did not go unnoticed, and I appreciate their hard work in contrast to the behavior exhibited by the parasol supervisor. While I enjoyed the opportunity to sunbathe at your beach, I must highlight the inconvenience regarding the reservation process for beach sun loungers. The lack of emphasis on the need for advanced reservations on your website created confusion and led to difficulties for guests during their visit. Clear communication in this regard would greatly benefit future guests and enhance their overall experience. In conclusion, I urge you to address the issues raised regarding the conduct of the parasol supervisor and take steps to prevent similar incidents in the future. Upholding high standards of customer service and ensuring the well-being of all guests should be paramount at your establishment. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will take appropriate action to address these concerns and improve the overall guest experience at your establishment. Sincerely,
