The 21 Best Restaurants In Neukölln - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Although we don’t need to be in a restaurant to watch things burn, side-eyeing the food going up in flames from the chef’s table at Kramer is indisputably more fun than doomscrolling at home. Once you get past the trashy noughties nightclub feel, the barbecued steak and seabass—even the lettuce is grilled—with flavours of Mexico and the Philippines will have you forgiving the fireside prop chains that might incite flashbacks to the Berghain basement. Don’t come here for a romantic candlelit date—consider bringing someone you met in, well, the Berghain basement. We like the grilled prawns, oyster mushrooms, and ceviche, but what gets us most fired up are the pineapple, lime, and jalapeño-heavy sauces, which bring a freshness to the smoky charcoaled meats and fish." - Olivia Ladanyi

Been to many great restaurants but this one was different. Every single dish was a 10/10, so thoughtfully created. The staff and service were above and beyond. This is Michelin Star level dining minus the small portions and exaggerated prices. Big big recommendation for every foodie looking for a culinary adventure. Thanks again for an unforgettable experience to the whole Kramer team.

We came here for dinner as a group of three and sat ordered the ribs, steak, pork belly, betel salad, asparagus, cheesy bread, and oysters. Surprisingly, the highlight of the evening wasn’t the meat, but the betel salad – beautifully presented, with fresh, vibrant flavors and a well-balanced composition. Overall I found the veggie dishes better than the meaty ones. The oysters were good, fairly average in quality. The ribs were coated in a great sauce, but the outside was unfortunately a bit dry. Same with the steak – tender and juicy inside, but slightly overdone on the outside. The pork belly was good, but overall, given the high prices, we expected a more refined execution. Service that evening was a bit of a letdown. The staff felt rushed and somewhat unfriendly, and we were forgotten multiple times. We found out that one team member had called in sick, but even under pressure, friendlier service should still be part of the experience at this price point. If I could give a decimal rating, it would be a 3.7 – a mixed experience with some real highlights, but also room for improvement.

Highly recommend their oysters and entrecôte. Service was great. In my opinion, ribs can be skipped. They were perfectly cooked, but very lean. People who love ceviche will definitely love the one they serve here. Overall the place was great and definitely worth the money.

I was so enamored by the vibe, mesmerized all night watching the chef tend the grill. The front wait staff were very kind and had knowledgeable advice to offer about food and wine. The food was very good, and the wine selection was plentiful and the one we chose (the orange Slovenian) paired well with all of our meal choices. Great experience overall

Now, Kramer is not a Restaurant, Kramer is an experience. All Kudos to the owner and his staff who from the moment we entered the Restaurant, we were treated as friend. It is the quintessence of casual fine dining. The food is out of this world, especially the Tomahawk, and all the details match the flair, from the home pottered plates over the music to the open kitchen. Truly a wonderful experience.

Amazing food! The japanese oysters, Picanha and ceviche were the highlights! Definitely one of my favorite places in Berlin now! Only thing that can be improved is the time it takes to prepare the food, but they were understaffed. The staff were still very professional, friendly and did a great job!

We came here for a celebration and treated ourselves to a beautiful spread: mackerel, wild rock oysters 🦪, shrimp 🦐, Iberico ribs 🍖, and sheep cheese 🧀 with grilled grapes 🍇. The flavors were vibrant and well-balanced—especially the mackerel 🐟 and oysters. The concept—bringing a touch of culinary theater to Berlin’s barbecue scene—is something we genuinely appreciated. While the overall experience was great, we felt there’s still room to refine a few details—particularly in expanding the wine selection and ensuring the team is fully equipped with knowledge about the ingredients they proudly serve.

We went to the restaurant because the reviews are good. Honestly, we were really upset. Portions are very small, food & drink overpriced, beef was chewy. From 48 euro beef we expected much more quality and taste. At the end we divided the invoice to 3 and 1 euro was left. My friend paid 9 euro Trinkgeld and we 10 more. Still the waiter was asking who should pay the rest 1 euro. Fish and port belly were good but for the price we expected more taste and quality.
