"At Krapow, a Thai-inspired restaurant midway between Lower Clapton and Homerton, they make something called nam price ong. It’s essentially saucy pork mince in a bowl, with touches of chilli and tomato, served alongside big slices of cucumber and pork scratchings. Yes, pork scratchings. We aren’t sure if it’s quite as spicy as we thought it would be, but we are sure about one thing: it’s bloody delicious. And that’s pretty much what Krapow is going for. The menu is made for sharing - curries, papaya salads, and variations on fried chicken. Not everything will blow you away, but nor will anything disappoint. And combined with the cosily intimate space, it makes for a neighbourhood restaurant anyone would want close by." - Jake Missing

If you heard there was a dish with Moo in the name would you try it? Well here at KraPow it’s their signature dish KraPow Moo a delectable beef dish that gets all your taste senses firing! True authentic North Thailand food with fabulous starters of which I had a Thai salad freshly prepared and so tasteful, I also had the eggs with tamarind, which if these guys did a breakfast I’d be there!! Awesome little place awesome staff, fab food and throw in a Thai beer or Thai cocktail and you got yourself a real good night out at KraPow, definitely worth the visit.

Delicious Thai food, full of flavour. Main meals are good portions. The Gai Tod is really good fried chicken, the beef larb was a special - love all that coriander! The krapow moo (with the egg on it) has pork and rice and beef Penang had loads of beef chunks in a creamy sauce.

Cosy and intimate Thai eatery. Ordered Khao Soi (coconut milk curry with noodles) and Gai Tod (buttermilk fried chicken). These dishes were delicious and flavourful with complex and intricate flavours so that’s similar to authentic Thai cuisine. I did find it to be on the salty side and fish sauce taste might be just a tad strong but that’s just me. It was quite pricy for the portion but there wasn’t a discretionary tax so overall it would cost the same as other Thai restaurants around. However, this one stood out because it doesn’t serve the basic and hackneyed Thai dishes that most others serve, so it was refreshing. I quite like the authentic presentation on the pastel plastic plates which is really what street stalls and even restaurants all around south-east Asia use, so it reminded me of where I come from. I just laughed to myself that I’m paying almost ten times the price in London 😂

This place is fantastic. Favourite Thai food in London, cool team, great vibe, unique and delicious dishes. Comparatively cheap too. Have also seen them popping up in food markets. Son in law eggs and the pork sausage are absolute highlights!

Just had an amazing takeaway. The guy phoned up and said that they had forgotten the squid and the delivery rider had already left but he would send it with another rider. The food arrived and was lovely and very shortly after we were very pleasantly surprised to receive not just the squid dish but several others and 2 courtesy beers. The Northern Thai food and the customer service were faultless in my opinion. Will definitely be ordering again 🙂
