A fantastic place! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The shawarma is absolutely delicious. The interior is stylish, very clean, and beautifully designed. The owners truly care about both their staff and customers. Thank you for the excellent service!

Ordered a kids meal for takeout online, it was ready super quick. I added pickles & special sauce to the cheeseburger, it was simple but delicious. Really enjoyed the garlic sauce that came with the fries too. Can’t want to come back and try some of their shawarma!

Ordered a medium belly buster burger and got it rare instead. Biting into it was so disgusting. The middle bun was burned and hard af. For 17 dollars, this is disappointing. I never bothered to leave a review before because I wanted to try it again. I dined here before too, not too long ago, and the food OK. However, the staff were dismissive. After coming to the counter and trying to pick up my food, they seemed annoyed that I was interrupting their conversation. They got annoyed when I was asking for my soda that I had payed for as well. Seen a couple of rats while I was dining outside. The tables with the grass is just an awful gimmick.

This thoughtful approach not only caters to those like me who don't eat meat but also ensures that I get to taste the same flavor as anyone else who eats here. Food: I tried the Sweet Burger and added caramelized onions, paired with the Truffle Parmesan Fries. The combination was a flavor explosion—absolutely a 5/5. Atmosphere: The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between modern and natural, with a foresty vibe that I really appreciated. There’s ample seating both indoors and outdoors, plus easily accessible complimentary water. Another 5/5. Service: The service was limited to ordering at the counter, but the staff member was both friendly and efficient. A seamless experience, deserving of a 5/5. Bonus: They offer a punch card for a free burger after ten purchases, which is a fantastic incentive to keep coming back—aside from the amazing taste, of course. Lawn Hamburger & Shawarma is a must-visit for any burger enthusiast in Chicago, whether you’re a local or just passing through.

The spicy shawarma is so good. Wrap grilled to a perfect level of crispy, each bite has a nice crunch from the wrap as well as very nicely pickled veg. The Ukrainian mayo is delightful, the chicken is excellent. Haven’t been this happy after a meal in a long time. Very happy I stopped in. The outdoor area is very comfortable and has a nice ambiance. The description is apt, this is truly a neighborhood gem. Will be back to try the burgers for sure.

Staff is hospitable and friendly. Atmosphere is very relaxed and green! Great place to hang with friends. The cheeseburger had a very tasty one of a kind mustard and the pickles had a great crunch flavor. My husband doesn’t like pickles and even he enjoyed the burger without taking out the pickles! Also, the burger Bun quality felt like it was home made. Make sure to get truffle fries!

That was one of the best burgers we had in a while. Perfect buns, perfect patties and the cheese… absolutely delicious! Well done guys! They have a nice little patio in the back and also seats inside the building. We enjoyed our lunch here at lot! ✌🏼

We were really excited to try this place today after hearing great things, and we even drove 2 hours just to grab a bite here. The food did not disappoint—everything was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for, cozy and welcoming. However, our first visit was soured by the attitude we received from the lady at the front. It was our first time here, so we weren’t familiar with the ordering process. Instead of kindly guiding us, she seemed frustrated that we didn’t know we had to order at the counter. That really threw us off and didn’t make for the best first-time experience. While the food is great, customer service matters just as much, and we hope the staff can be a bit more patient with new visitors in the future. It’s tough when you drive that far and leave feeling a bit let down.
