The Best Korean Fusion Dishes in Metro Atlanta

"Krave Philly Steak Bulgogi Located off Collier Road between a coin laundry and a Chinese restaurant, this fast-casual, counter-service Korean restaurant has a few tables on the inside and the outside. It's not winning interior design awards, but you're here because the prices are right, the portions are filling, and the food is tasty. Although Krave has a mostly traditional Korean menu, the kitchen team nails this fusion with what seems like a half-pound of sweet and savory bulgogi topped with buttery provolone. They cook it on the flat top just like a philly with peppers and onions. Grab a few napkins since the hoagie roll barely contains its messiness. " - lamara davidson

I’ve had this place on my radar for a while and I’m so glad I decided to stop for lunch! Had the spicy bulgogi chicken bowl and hot honey fries. Both options are great but the chicken was the highlight for me! Perfectly juicy and very well seasoned. The spice level is just right- mildly hot and slightly sweet with a bunch of additional flavors. Prices aren’t too bad either! I’ll definitely be back with my family at some point, hopefully in the near future!

For Brothers Day Out I let my little brother pick the restaurant. As his palate is diverse and he enjoys a variety of food I wasn’t shocked when we ended up at Krave. Driving up to Krave, it is right off the Main Street so you can’t miss it. Parking is limited as the lot itself is smaller so I would suggest carpooling if you’re in a group. Upon walking in the ambiance is chill yet vibrant. There was an R&B Playlist playing which instantly caught my ear. The style of the decor is simple yet bold. LoL! Let me explain, simple in design, yet bold with the dominance of black as the color stands out with the all glass front and few pops of color. The menu hangs on the wall, I would have loved to have been able to review a paper menu opposed to keeping my neck at an angle while I reviewed the menu, however, there weren’t any. As this was my first time at Krave it took me a few moments to fully capture the menu selections. I think my neck was mad at me. I decided on the Chicken Bulgogi Bowl - 12 oz chicken in fruit based soy sauce over rice… The dish is simple by design but elaborate in flavor. The profile fusion of the spice accompanying the fruit based soy sauce is absolutely mouth pleasing. The chicken was moist and flavorful and seasoned with a spice blend that fit the fusion theme of the bowl. The portion was perfect for the price and had enough for me to take some to go. If you’re not into spice you can get the bowl regular. My little brother had it that way and enjoyed it as much as I did the spicy. The service is quick and efficient. The young lady at the register was nice and was able to answer the few questions we had. The restaurant was super clean. The tables weren’t sticky and the floors were clean as well. Good Food. Clean Environment. Great Playlist. I will definitely be back to Krave for another Chicken Bulgogi Bowl.

I got the steak bulgogi bowl and it was okay. The fried dumplings were good. The reason I’m giving a 3 start is because the Kimchi wasn’t good at all. It was a small portion and it wasn’t fresh. I couldn’t finish it. I had way better kimchi other places.

I was blown away by the spicy chicken bulgogi bowl. This was my first visit. Parking is meh, but that's not enough of deterrent to keep me from returning. I'd walk a couple of blocks if I had to! Ok, the chicken is super flavorful and the amount of sauce was PERFECT for the bowl, was able to coat all of the rice. I just loved this. Very efficient service, took my order quickly. You order at one window and pick-up at another. There are a handful of two-seater tables inside as well as "bar counter" areas at the window and across from the tables. Also, some outside seating. Can't wait to try some of the other options at Krave! Update May 2024: After going here at least once a week over several months, EVERYTHING is SO good! I've had the Mandu several times, the Chicken Bulgogi Platter, Beef Bulgogi Platter, Jap Chae, Kimchee Fried Rice. Recommend the platter, or get a side of the cucumbers.

Korean BBQ place with some American fusion items. We will be talking about this meal for a while. I wish we were in ATL more just to go here. If you are in the area or live nearby, stop by and try it. You won’t be disappointed. Even the fountain drink options are above and beyond delicious. Fresh and unique flavors by STUBBORN. If you prefer, they also have Pepsi products available. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is generously portioned and prepared expertly. The fried dumplings were perfectly crisped. The Philly is loaded with meat. I switched to a fork and knife halfway through it. We were sharing bites of food around the table because it was so good we wanted everyone to try a bite. It’s a takeout style restaurant in a little strip mall. Sometimes those are the best restaurants in town. Go inside. Try it. The vibe is modern and clean. The food is remarkable. The chefs are talented. 6 stars. Seriously. Note to the owners: Dalton, GA needs a franchise. Pretty please?

Finally had a chance to stop by, and it was definitely worth it. The service was quick and the food was fresh (ordered “spicy steak” and “spicy pork bulgogi” bowls)!!! Will defintely be returning again (SOON).

Parking: smaller parking lot Wait time: no wait to order (@ 7pm on Friday) with 5 people Atmosphere: it’s more of a pick up and leave kind of place. There isn’t much seating inside but it’s clean and the cashier was nice. Food: Got the chicken bowl over rice and added the krave fries on the side. I wasn’t sure what the fruit based soy sauce was going to taste like but it was very flavorful with the chicken. I thought the fries by themselves tasted good but I was expecting more than fries and the krave sauce on the side. Everyone that ate it thought it was good. Would I recommend? Yes Would I come back? Yes and I would get the same dish.
