Kristin's Breakfast & Lunch

Kristin's delivered a life changing experience for me. My first time trying chicken and waffles, starting as a skeptic on the chicken and maple syrup combination. I called ahead and spoke to Courtney who confirmed it was available. I was lucky to also have her as my server! She was attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Blown away that Kristin is the one making every dish in a from-scratch kitchen. The first few bites brought me to tears because it's SO GOOD. The sweetness from the maple syrup perfectly compliments the savory chicken cutlet and classic Belgian waffle. A side of crispy home fries was the best addition to a perfect breakfast. Highly recommend this hidden gem!!

First time here - food was amazing… we did wait some time for the food, but it was Memorial Day and they were busy so I am sure it was usually faster. Regardless , it was worth the wait. The Irish Benedict with the Deluxe Home Fries was delicious. I would definitely come back.

Super cute diner to get some of the best breakfast! Plenty of options to choose from. My son got the kids pancake with eggs and bacon. My husband got three pancakes and I got a bacon egg cheese on a bagel with home fries. The ladies who work there are friendly and attentive. Great food portions and taste delicious. A solid spot!

Amazing service and the coffee is good ! I got the short rib omelette and they use Franks hot sauce and I was in heaven. My buddy got the two +teo+ Two and we split the blueberry cake French toast ...../. Again fun place

Stopped here for breakfast at the start of our road trip and it was fantastic. Large portions, quick service. Great place!

A nice place for a breakfast/ lunch spot for an early and cozy morning. Very busy and the seating was crampe but, the service as fast and attentive. Highly recommend this establishment and hope to visit again soon

Have been here a couple times always solid food and service, huge pancakes and bacon is just to my liking, worth a try/drive, seating is semi-limited so if you go on a weekend prepare for it to be busy

Great service, the eggs Benedict was great and cooked as ordered. I don’t think the hollandaise is made from scratch. Great flavor. It gets loud here and if you bring a large party, you may have to wait a little bit this place gets busy. Very reasonable.

Stumbled on this little place last week for last minute takeout. Great breakfast sandwich - ready in minutes and friendly staff. And not too much $$$

If you are in there area.. stop here! So many fun unique pancakes and they are amazing. In the picture my husband is showing off the Reese pancake and raspberry cheesecake pancake. Unreal! I had the homemade house potatoes and corn beef hash. They didn't disappoint. Plenty of food, coffee was amazing. I am so sad I live out of the state.

Fantastic! Great location and didn't have to wait. Service was awesome and menu was next level. I wish I were a kid, the pancake options were amazing!! I had the corned beef omelette and it was perfection. Homemade corned beef. Highly recommend a visit to Kristin's. Cash only, but they have an ATM on site.

Get here early, this place fills up quick!!! Came here with my son and various members of his hockey team during a tournament. The food was great, the service came with a smile, and it was relatively priced appropriately. Be advised though, I think it was cash or Venmo only.

My Order: Caramel Pecan Pancakes w/ a side of home fries. No complaints. I lost within 5 mins of eating my food. Took a small portion to go. I'll be back again to conquer the pancakes again. "Bank on it buddy"

My experience at Kristin's was positive. The customer service was great and overall I enjoyed the food! The cornbread pancakes were delicious with the added syrup. The syrup gave them the sweetness they needed. I wish my home fries were a little bit more seasoned, but I enjoyed the addition of the broccoli, onions, people, and cheese. I would definitely go back!

So hopeful based on menu and other reviews. Found a piece of plastic in my omelette after the fourth bite and it wasn't a little piece. It was about 2"x 3/4"!. Waitress seemed uncharted, did apologize, and asked if I wanted something else. Had to ask for another napkin and fork to eat my grilled muffin as attempt 2. When original plate brought over, two pieces of toast fell on the table when she put the plate down. She asked if I wanted more toast, but again, seemed unphased. Also asked for no home fries, but they came anyways. Waitress was not very welcoming. Definitely not going back and wouldn't recommend it.

Great little diner style spot that has soo many options for breakfast! I have never seen so many pancake options. We tried the coconut banana and pancake ones. Absolutely yum, and huge! There was a wait when we arrived Sat late morning but once seated overall wait on food wasn't terrible considering how busy they were!

Met an old friend at Kristins yesterday....Great breakfast!...well done!...A wide variety of dishes with lots of specials... everything was cooked to order and I would gladly come here again if I lived in the neighborhood

Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast here on a Sunday morning! We were seated almost immediately. We tried a couple different pancakes and I got an omelette. The portion sizes were pretty big and everything tasted really good. The veggie omelette had a lot of vegetables and came with toast and potatoes as well I had enough to take home. It was a very cute local feel and felt good to be supporting the business! Will be visiting again for sure!! Note: they only take cash or venmo but there is an ATM inside

Delay in review A 10, We ate on. Tuesday and the place was busy, well staffed and clean The Food was amazing, I got the egg scramble with ham cheese and added onions and mushrooms, eggs were fluffy hot and the cheese melted just right, I got a side of hollandaise sauce with great flavor. Raisin bread and home fries. Hubby got chicken and waffles. Waffles were fluffy and chicken was cooked perfectly. He also got the corn beef hash ordered extra crispy, it was exceptional, and not from a can, (biggest pet peeve). cut just right. Hot coffee and tea that was not stale. Staff was attentive and timely. Complements to the kitchen. We will definitely go back and already recommend to friends who are GF because they had a large gluten-free menu for breakfast. What a delicious breakfast. This was planned as a stop halfway between points so not sure we would have found it otherwise but so glad we did. Bring your appetite is all I can say cause we ordered the specialty pancakes and it came with three the size of a platter, YUM. I got caramel pecan and my husband apple cinnamon and both great. They even had almond milk for my coffee. It's such an unassuming little place but definitely worth a stop when you want delicious pancakes. Take them home in a box cause you won't finish them unless you split them!!

Have come here a couple of times throughout the years and always have liked it. Convenient location, food is good. But today, my friend and I went in for breakfast and received a terrible attitude from a waitress. While I understand that weekend mornings at a breakfast place can be busy, I also know that my friend (who had her month old baby with her) needed to go to pick up her husband and daughter at the airport after our meal. Whe we got there, we had plenty of time to sit, chat and eat before their flight got in, but as time went on, we realized it had been 45 minutes with no update of when our food would be out. When I kindly spoke up to ask our waitress if she knew how much longer she thought it would be (with a smile I might add), and tried to explain my friend needed to head out soon and I was going to ask about to-go boxes, she cut me off with an attitude and told me it was a Sunday and the kitchen will beep her when it's ready. She came back 5 minutes later with the food and all she said was "I'll get you the check" and dropped our plates. She then came back a minute later and dropped the check without even looking at us and stormed away. We were both so taken back and appalled that someone would treat their customers this way, especially when they are expecting a tip from us. We still gave 20% because it's the right thing to do, but I honestly didn't want to leave her anything. That put such a bad taste in my mouth and I'm not sure when I will return.

Kristin's breakfast was a 10/10. I showed the waitress a picture from Yelp and said "I want that". She knew exactly what it was (the #6 super deluxe home fries). This was the savory breakfast that I wanted!! I also order a side of kielbasa, just because. I was impressed with the French toast and pancake variations available.

Finding kielbasa on a regular breakfast menu is like finding an oasis in the desert. Not quite as lifesaving but equally thrilling! Maybe we need to get out more.... Kristin's is the quintessential breakfast spot; Cozy but not too small, vibrant counter action, super friendly staff, huge portions, reasonably priced (cheap, actually), and food so yummy you'll never again eat at home. Pancakes are about one inch thick and cover a dinner plate. No exaggeration. Ours were plain but the options seemed endless! One of us has a smaller appetite so the kid's breakfast was more than enough. One egg, pancake or toast, and breakfast meat. We up-charged to kielbasa and were richly rewarded. The kielbasa was perfectly seasoned, had a great snap to the skin, and was more than big enough for the kid's breakfast. The other, with a heartier appetite, had plain pancakes and kielbasa. The pancakes were anything but plain. They were fluffy, perfectly cooked and soooo flavorful; and huge, as mentioned above. Note: Kristin's is cash only. They have an ATM and I think one can use Venmo. Yelpers brought us here and we are mighty grateful. Thanks, all!

The portions of food it not for the diet. This is a hungry man size and the taste is very good.

Went to Kristin's for the first time this past Monday and I was very impressed. They are most known for their variety of pancakes, so I got the raspberry cheesecake pancake and my friend ordered the Boston cream pie pancake. They were delicious and the portions were massive! The wait staff was also very attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back there and try other items on their menu.

Tiny little hole in the wall located in Braintree, MA. This breakfast/lunch place serves the best breakfast and lunch at very reasonable price by the friendliest staffs. Portion sizes are huge and each dish is cook to order. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are and its not greasy and sloppy. Each dish is made with care and you can tell the chef put his heart into each dish as if he/she was preparing it for themselves. Expect to see a line out the door early saturdays and sundays during breakfast.

Service wasn't the greatest food was normal American food. Walked in and didn't get greeted til 5 minutes later when they clearly saw me. The good thing is they take Venmo so you don't have to worry about remembering to bring cash! Would I come back? Ya just for a quick breakfast stop if everywhere else was full.

We got here at 12 . Wait was not bad. We were seated within 5 mins. We got the chicken waffle biscuit, home fries and the cloud . The chicken waffle biscuit was warm and soft. Home fries were flavorful and pancakes was fluffy . Service was good. The price was cheap for the quality. We paid $25 with tip. Definitely a must to hit up

Corn Beef Omlette and Blueberry Muffin was delicious, very busy which was great to see. I think it was a great place to visit on a weekend day, and the service was fast. Very fun environment. I loved it! Check it out for fast breakfast and delicious food with good prices.

What an awesome experience! Was in town for work. Did a quick google search and Kristin's came up. What a great restaurant for breakfast. Best pancake menu I ever seen. Had the corned beef hash eggs Benedict and it was awesome! Had to try a buttermilk pancake that was bigger than my head. Wish I went for a flavored pancake, but nonetheless it was great. Wait staff was prompt and accommodating. Highly recommend this place. Be aware cash only, but worth it.

Maybe my favorite breakfast spot. Everything I've tried on the menu has been great, tables open up pretty quickly if you have to wait. Service is good. The place is cash only, that's what helps keep their prices low. Stop and for a great breakfast.

My fridge ran so empty a college student would take a look inside and cry. Technically I do have ramen, but I am of the age now when Ramen for breakfast would be a bad idea. Since I had a day off and decided to venture out for breakfast. Passed this place a couple times; and decided to give it a try. I was feeling French Toast, and was recommended the Coffee Cake French Toast. I had my hopes set pretty high of the deliciousness scale, but found myself very disappointed. Rather than being something gently crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside, this was like a recipe from a children's video game. It appeared as though one side of a rather large slab of coffee cake was dipped into an egg mix, and then griddled on both sides. Furthermore, it was very fry on the inside, dryer even then I remember regular coffee cake being. The little crumblies also didn't remind me of a coffee cake too much. I will give them credit for having good service! I'm hoping this was a one-off, a bad dish, or a bad day in the kitchen. I will give them a second chance at some point, I'll just steer clear of the coffee cake french toast.

Quaint little dinner. Very good value for the amount of food and they had raisin toast which somehow the west coast has done away with. Service was excellent.

The food was so so, waitress was extremely rude. I cannot give a positive recomendation as I cannot possibly guarantee how you'll be treated or what kind of strange staff presentation you'll receive from strange wait person. Read the other reviews and you'll see what I mean about the rude wait person. This isn't a place to visit for the faint of heart or anyone with PTSD or want emotional hassles from extremely rude paranoid waitstaff. You never know what the wait person will do next.

Breakfast was fantastic! Food was delicious and the service was phenomenal considering there was only one person serving a packed house. Fried potatoes are "to die for"! Farmer's omelet is a masterpiece. This place needs to be tried!

Came to Kristens at 10am on a Sunday and it was poppin! Luckily there was a table for two available. I love hash and it was amazing here. They were quick with service and they are super well known for their pancakes, but we were too full to order more. A really great breakfast place to go and highly recommend, but remember to bring cash as it is cash only! They do have an atm inside.

I was around the area and decided to order some breakfast while I waited for my dogs haircut. I ordered over the phone , I went in to pick up my food and decided oh well maybe I should just sit and eat instead of eating in my car ! I politely asked " Do you mind if I sit to have my breakfast I didn't noticed you guys had seating ! The lady turned her back towards me and shook her head and said WELL I WISH YOU WOULD HAVE SAID THAT OVER THE PHONE I HATE WASTING PLASTIC ! i tipped her went to eat in my car and brought her plastic bag that I paid for back

Over easy eggs almost cooked hard, bacon was over cooked and tasted burnt. The English muffin was really good. Service seemed rushed. Really small tables. Locals seemed to like it it was crowded

PANCAKE PARADISE! Just wait until you see the many different flavors and toppings to choose from - cookie dough, smores, oreo, raspberry cheesecake!! The list goes on & on and I wanted to try them all! My husband and I came here early on a Saturday morning and the place was very busy. We were seated at the counter and served coffee in the thick ceramic mugs (my favorite!). I ordered eggs over easy, corned beef hash, home fries and wheat toast. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, home fries and toast. We wanted to split an order of pancakes and after much debate, we finally agreed on the coffee cake pancakes. They were phenomenal and tasted more like coffee cake than any coffee cake I've had! The portion size was huge and we probably could have split one pancake rather than two (you can choose 1, 2 or 3 pancakes). The corned beef hash was probably some of the best I've ever had - real corned beef that was juicy, salty and had a nice crisp to it. I am absolutely coming back for more hash and to try more pancake flavors! If you're a pancake lover, this place is for you!! *cash only*

Staff at Kristin's are all very polite and accommodating. They helped us with plans ahead of time and treated us very nicely during our visit at the restaurant. The menu is amazing! It was hard to make a choice! Our meals were delicious and portions were very generous. We enjoyed our experience from start to finish and can't wait to return!

The service was very friends and coffee was refilled and hot. Eggs were ordered over medium and actually came out over medium. The pancakes were very dense and I prefer fluffy and light. They only take cash and Venmo.

Returned here recently because it was close to the home of a friend I was visiting. Really just not good. Waitress missed the fact we had ordered two avocado toasts and an order of Super Deluxe Homefries which were....indescribably wrong. Basically a mix of veg and poorly cut potatoes with some cheese over the top. The food here appears to be prepared without love or passion. You can almost taste the anger and resentment in every bite. Good food doesn't have to be complicated. Some home fries, cheese and a bit of bacon and green onion can elevate a dish. No need to serve a plate of crap big enough to feed a family of four to rationalize the cost. Just bad. Would not recommend. You can pay by VENMO but there's no way for the waitstaff to even know if you have paid....

Food is not bad. I had the eggs benedict. My brother in law and sister has a breakfast plate with eggs toast homefries and sausage. Im a big fan of pancakes and the pancakes looks nice and fluffy but tasted a bit dry for my liking. The bottled lime ricky was okay. Wouldnt order again. It was a tad busy. We waited 15 mins so not bad. But it seems like the staffs doesnt seem to know what hospitality is. A saw a lot of guest who were disappointed. Some even walked a way. I watched a server yell at an elderly couple who were regulars there. The. Couple waited for a long time for a table so when they sat there wanted to order. She told them that they can wait and that shes under a lot of pressure and they need to wait. She walked away then came back later. When she finally calmed down she took their order then apologized for her behavior. How do you mistreat people then apologize?? My family amd i were so shocked we wanted to leave but were too hungry to leave. She seemed out of it and under stress through out our whole experience and fake smile through the rest of her shift. I know what its like to be in her shoes. I work in a very busy fast paced restaurant in boston and i do not ever put my anger out on my guest. My family and i have agreed that we will never be coming back.

We're Back!!! Kristin's Food Is Still The Bomb!! This time I ordered The Carmel Pecan Pancakes & We Also Had Cookie Dough W/ Melted Chocolate Chips. The Atmosphere Here Gives You That Home Time Feeling, Which is Awesome Coming From A Straight Up NY'er!!!

Awesome breakfast at a great price! Local folks chatting. Waitstaff knows everyone. It's really cool. Relaxed. It reminds me of the diners when I grew up too many years ago. Except the diners in west Kentucky didn't serve kielbasa and eggs perfectly prepared

The menus is extensive for breakfast/brunch. I have had several dishes and they re ALL really tasty. You must have breakfast/brunch here. You won't regret it. But... bring cash

So...I guess I have to give a single star rating to get this to post. I tried to give it no stars. I understand restaurants are doing their best during Covid-19. That goes without saying, but let me just explain how today's takeout order went. 1. Called in to place an order for Buttermilk Pancakes and Cornbread Pancakes. 2. Was told that the order would take 45 minutes. Ok, I'll bite since this place has a 4/5 star rating. 3. Upon arrival noticed that the establishment was busy and understandably so for a Sunday. Arrived to pick up my order after 40 minutes. Told the woman (who appeared to be in her 40's/early 50's, had blond-ish hair and was fairly tall) that I was there to pick up. She asked for my name, etc. 4. She then proceeds to tell me that it will be ANOTHER 45 minutes because half of their grill was out. Apparently, they lost the pilot light. How hard is it to relight? I'm seriously interested in knowing this. 5 minutes max? Anyone? 5. I told her that I just waited roughly 45 minutes for said, two orders of pancakes and asked her if I heard her correctly that it would be an additional 45? She then proceeds to ignore me and look off in to the restaurant. At this point I am talking to her left ear with zero acknowledgement. 6. She storms off and walks away from me. Yelling back at me as she walks away "I'm going to check the tickets!" 7. Comes back and says "there are two tickets in front of you" Ok...so, what does that mean? She offers no explanation. I asked her if that's roughly 5-10 minutes? To which her response was "it could be that or it could be 6-8, or it could be 10-11 minutes". I go to sit down and wait patiently. 8. She comes back within those 10 minutes and says I'm all set. 9. I said that I hope she has a nice day, to which she replies with attitude "I hope you have a nice day as well". My response "Oh, mines great! I hope yours gets better and improves" she replied "Mines fantastic" I leave her with a "Doesn't sound like it!" And walk out. Upon arriving home, here's what we were given...burnt, falling apart, dry AF pancakes with no taste. Literally we each took a couple of bites and they ended up in the trash. Their website touts the following: "Kristin's opened in Braintree, November of 2003. The restaurant has won the Best of Braintree Best Spot for Breakfast eight consecutive years. We offer many menu items available only at Kristin's." Who did they pay off for this nomination and award for eight consecutive years? Better yet, how do I get my $15-16 dollars back? Recommended? Heck no. IHOP makes way better food than this. Keep the attitude. Your customers don't want to receive it from you. We are trying to be nice and come and enjoy your food/establishment during these tough times to help YOU out. We'll share word of mouth with our family/friends good or bad. You don't want to make the wrong impression folks. Terrible. STAY AWAY. Go to Ashley's! Fast, friendly, and good food. It feels exactly how it should in there. Like an awesome diner. I'm always happy to eat there, and as time goes by it seems to be my go-to place when I need to meet anyone for breakfast.
