Kroger Workers Will Protest In Houston For Pandemic Hazard Pay | Eater Houston

"Employees and supporters will hold a rally at the store from 4–7 p.m. to demand restoration of the $2-per-hour hazard pay instituted at the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Members of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 445 and allies including the Democratic Socialists of Houston say a one-time “thank you” bonus offered in response to backlash is insufficient as the pandemic continues into its seventh month. Protesters also point to recent company moves — ending the union’s healthcare plan, reducing full-time positions, and capping part-time vacation allotments — as additional reasons for the demonstration. The action comes amid broader local labor unrest, following a hospitality-union protest ten days earlier and about a month after expanded unemployment benefits expired." - Brittanie Shey

The customer service line is long, it takes 30 minutes per person because there’s only one person helping out, they really need to do better, people got places to go and things to do instead waiting on a line for over 30 minutes. Plus the manager just just stood over there looking at us and laughing with another cashier.

Google
I checked Google page if this location is open and it clearly says open. I stopped there around 4:10pm today “ thanksgiving day “ The manager was at the front door telling people the store is closed and when approached him to let him know that they need to update their Google page, he was completely rude and told me talk to Google I can’t believe they hired a manager like this He was smoking at the entrance in front of customers! He definitely needs to be fired!

Walmart cucumbers are better than this and last longer - Found chicken salad. Bought it only to find it was expired - purchased $7.99 Bought it again Thursday. Can the grapes and chicken be cut up? Yikes. Be sure to check dates people.

Chelsie J. is at the "Customer Service Dept" right now. I went in to ask questions about a scratch off ticket and to purchase lottery tickets. Not once did she smile. She was very short/interrupted me while I was speaking. Her responses to my questions were she didn't know and she just works there. She went on to say that she does 3 jobs and only gets paid for one. As a customer, I don't need know this. I felt dismissed. I was the only customer there. NO line. After her repeating that she "only" works here, I stated if she didn't know the answer she should get a team member who might be able to help. I guarantee she would not like her mother to be treated this way. Her attitude is unacceptable.

Google
Fantastic Kroger experience. Clean, organized, friendly staff, extraordinary selection, and felt like neighborhood shopping. Found some great deals and B was able to have an enjoyable grocery experience. Would definitely return to shop here again!

Metehan B.

Google
Nice, well-organized, and large supermarket where I could find everything I was looking for. The staff always answered my questions whenever I asked. Thank you very much!

Google
I needed just a few things for my work lunches, I was in and out in a short time. Beautiful Orchids, but the color has been dyed to have the deep turquoise, pink and purple. But they are still pretty.

Google
It's wrong that employees keep buying Pokemon cards and not letting customers buy. They should have a limit

Yelp
Every time I come to this Kroger, the associates are ALWAYS so nice! Xavier and Shanda were the perfect pair , quickly checking me out and bagging my groceries, making sure my coupons all applied accurately. Their attentiveness and overall good nature means a lot during this holiday season especially.

Yelp
we've been using Kroger on San Felipe at Voss for years. there's been many changes. yesterday we placed an online delivery order. it was acknowledged & packing started. later we recd notice the order had been cancelled & refund in 3-7 days! no explanation given. I went to the store today & was told the delivery person picked up 5 orders but they're only allowed 2. it is up to delivery person to decide whether they' will deliver & if the order is out of their way or they consider too heavy or they just don't want to deliver, they can cancel the order!

Yelp
They often have discounts and they have lots of vegan options i love the plant based Alfredo im on my way to buy more now! the workers are always nice and willing to help good service

Yelp
Sorry to say but the New Baltimore store is very run down dirty and a bad old fish smell in the meat section the store is never stocked well you would be hard press if you wanted certain items on a consistent bases it seems like this location has been ignored by corp HQ. We get so frustrated with consistent quality or lack thereof and just having simple things like Half & Half or heavy cream or fresh produce on the shelves. It's hit or miss on most items we buy and is mostly miss. We've begun to travel further to shop at other stores. Too small of a store for the amount of people that live in the area that is growing. Drive 20 min west and the stores and quality of food is much better it's night and days.

Yelp
Y'all. All I can say is be careful. A lot of the refrigerated items had condensation or were bubbled like they had been left out and then put back in the fridge for sale. Which I thought wasn't supposed to happen? Moldy items right in front for you to grab. Yuck! Not sure id trust to buy any perishable items from here after the few items I ran across that were obviously spoiled.
google avatar

Don C.

Yelp
This Kroger was spot on! In and out. Grabbed what I needed was looking lost and the manager and helpers were trying to restack some display that fell over. "Sorry are we blocking you?" Oh no I'm just lost not my normal store. "What are you looking for?" Dried red lentils? "Aisle 8 right side mid shelf halfway down. I went in my way bang right behind me guiding to what I just passed. I said you were busy you didn't have to come over here for a 99 cent bag of beans. Oh no problem. Wow that is service. Wish I had his name to put in. Today around 1140 and blue shirt.

Yelp
"Best Kroger's in Houston." That was when I first discovered this grocery store on Voss near Westheimer around midnight on 5/11/2017. It used to be a 24-hour operation prior to Covid-19 pandemic. I usually came in for a quick grab and to wind down after work. I haven't been back since the construction on Loop 610. My recent visit was just last weekend. Since I planned to buy some pots at Cornelius Nursery, I thought to swing by to get my weekly groceries at this store. I have been shopping at Elmside Kroger on Westheimer, about 3 miles west from here. My recent displeasure was constant empty produce sections. I don't know if it was a cause for the disruption of supply distribution or I came shopping on the wrong day. Came to Voss Store surprised to see a familiar scene. Produce shelves were emptier than other stores. It looks so sad. Other sections of store were perfectly stocked and as pretty as it has been. Note to management. Here are my dislikes: 1) The self-checkout lines are with 2 parallel aisles. Machines are not user friendly. I prefer the other one shaped as a rectangle. 2) Oh, another displeasure was they sold me an expensive artichoke with organic label on the shelf but not on the product.

Yelp
Normally I almost never complain, but I believe Kroger should hire employees who actually like their job and enjoy customer service & customer interactions. I understand that stores have their closing times but that is absolutely no excuse to be rude and rush a customer out only 2 minutes after 11pm especially when the customer is walking to the front already. Kelby was extremely rude & has no business within customer service. I understand how labor laws work and I understand that most don't get paid overtime but again, that is no excuse to be absolutely horrible to a customer when they're leaving the store. I have come to this Kroger before around the same time and have had a pleasant experience with everyone letting me know the store will be closing soon, some have even been so nice to help me look for an item so I can get to the register quicker. Kelby was a huge disappointment.

Yelp
As a person who loves to eat out and to shop for food, this Kroger is a one stop shop.I absolutely love the tortillas at restaurants such as Escalante at Town and Country & a local favorite Casadores on Kingsride in Htown. I wanted to see if I could replicate the tortillas 1 time before I returned to eating back there and I was in need of a rolling pin.I called Kroger to ask if they had any for sale and Debbie took amazing care to look for several , describe them and give me the prices. It is hard to go into a store like that without wanting to buy more essential items.Kindof like when you eat out and ask for the dessert menu knowing that you will definitely have something delicious before you exit the restaurant. Kroger has a vast display of delicious fruits and vegetables. It made me happy to see all the friendly produce staff wearing gloves and masks.Everything went well until checkout. When I asked the cashier and bagger if they could change their gloves ,the bagger took off never to be seen again and the cashier had to ask a front end manager (who was not wearing a mask even though that is the stores policy) if she could change gloves? She reluctantly did and quickly checked me out . I bagged my own groceries. As I was waiting to pay , the next customer who also choose not to wear a mask, forgot the whole social distancing rule and was blocking the area to put my credit card . I gently asked him to move back 6 feet and finished my order.I know this normally would not have been an issue but with the cases rising in our hometown of Covid19, I was surprised at the lack of initiative the cashier had to address the next customer. At other competitive stores the cashiers often would nicely ask the next customer to wait .I spoke to the store manager Adam by phone and truly appreciated his concern with how he wants to keep things safe for his customers and staff. It is a learning experience for us all and he was thoroughly sorry this issue had come up again.Apparently I am not the 1st to call with concerns.I definitely want to recognize essential workers .It is a hard time for us all and I hope things will improve soon. It takes just a few seconds of courtesy to create a great experience . I am willing to not let one not great customer experience keep me from returning.

Yelp
I normally am not a regular at this store. But the store I usually go to is crazy packed on Monday's. So I decided to try something else. I've been to a Kroger before but the location is a little further for me. They had healthy options for snacks, chips, cereal bars that kind of thing. It's a mixture of HEB and Wholefoods. My only qualm was the spice section, it didn't have a big selection. The people attending and working there were nice. On the way out though in the parking area the cement slabs weren't even and the wheel on the cart got stuck. My bf fell with the cart since we were trying to move out of the way of a car reversing. Our groceries went flying and he scrapped his shin. A lady getting out of her car helped us picking everything. I hope they fix that so no one else falls.

Yelp
I love the vibe at (almost all) Krogers. Though it's a national chain (with local names in respective cities) they feel like a neighborhood grocery store. This is particular is not the largest Kroger - the aisles are a bit more compact, to put it mildly. But hey, that's not so bad - you can get in and out a lot quicker. It is a great location and I've been met with nothing but the friendliest staff.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
The man pushing the carts screamed at me saying the store was closed 15 minutes before it actually closed. Happy holidays everyone. I couldn't even relieve myself after driving 7 hours to get to where I am going for Thanksgiving.
google avatar

Yelp
Please invest in something to help your employees gather the baskets outside easier. It's too hot for those poor people to be struggling. H-E-B has straps for their employees. Just an idea

Diana C.

Yelp
I'm writing to say how wonderful and helpful Stephen was. he was stocking shelves when I asked about a product, need more like him

Tony J.

Yelp
Bad attitude. Tells customers to go to self check out even if the customer prefers to wait in line for live cashier.

Heather G.

Yelp
The service is always on point and food is put out fresh. Self check out can be iffy but that's everywhere. Check the clearance bins as they are always full since they go through things properly. Discounted food that I was already buying? Don't mind if I do!

Yelp
You will find this Kroger's located in a busy parking lot of Voss and San Felipe. Parking here can be a hit or miss depending on which time you get here whether it be a busy lunch hour in which you might have to park way across the parking lot by the bank (I forgot what bank it is) or get lucky and get into one of the already tight parking spaces closer up front. As of today this store is under a little reconstruction. They are moving things around, moving coolers way across the store but I guess it is for the customer's benefits for product placement therapy. This store has a wierd lay out that one may not like, it is kind of a half zig zagged maze when you first walk in until you get half way through the store until then will it straighten out a little. The isles are placed to where the continuity is abrupted by the end cap of another isle, hard to imagine? visit here and you'll see what I am talking about. It's not really much of a bad thing, it is just not the model Kroger's that one is used too. I have never had any situations with any of the employees here but again I really never had to ask anybody for anything. There were days where the cashiers seemed a little stoic but you have to remember it's just a grocery store. Happy shopping! ========================================= Tips to New Yelpers: If you get to a computer and pull up the actual yelp.com page, you will see a "talk" section where you will get to see how the active yelpers help each other out through method of questions and answers. Pull it up and come meet us here, you'll enjoy meeting us at the UYE (Unofficial Yelp Event) get togethers as well.

Yelp
Please take this review very seriously. If you need a money order or anything that involves guest care & money services, go somewhere else. I came in at 11:30 and waited in line until 12:15. I couldn't wait any longer and so I decided to come back on my lunch break. I made it back on my lunch break and I've been in line now for well over 20 minutes. The lady is very unprofessional and to be honest, this store had no clue how to take care of their customers. 1 person working and it's always like this
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
I love it when a big, national chain doesn't feel like one - the layout is easy to understand, the people working here smile and say hello in a way that says they mean it, and they carry brands from multiple regions (thank you so much for having Tillamook cheese!!!!). Would love to see a bigger organic produce section, but Sprouts is close if that's all I'm complaining about. And the gas prices are comparable to Costco, without the Costco lines - don't tell anyone! :-)

Yelp
I quit going to this store a long time ago except for gas, propane, and pharmacy. Frankly, this is a dangerous store with lots of thefts and robberies. Except for a couple of wonderful long-time sackers, the staff is not great and products are not the best when you consider that HEB, Whole Foods, Rice, and Trader Joe's are close. Tonight the pharmacy manager was rude when I was in to fill my script and just stared at me so I asked him what was his problem. He started screaming and cursing (with other customers all around) and told me I had been rude to him on the phone (wha? when?) and on and on. (I feel bad, but I yelled back at him using his same foul language). He refused to give me the name of his supervisor so I returned my script and will be moving it. I then waited and talked to the manager, and he was very apologetic and seemed nice; he said he would take care of it. While I was talking to the manager another customer walked up and told the manager he saw what happened and that pharmacist had been rude to HIM in the past also. So, now I am down to propane and gas only until they get a new pharmacist.

Yelp
There were so many types of Benadryl, but not the kind I was looking for. I ended up getting a generic kind (Kroger brand - lucky them) and also a Dayquil pack. The cashier at the self-checkout examined my ID for the Dayquil, typed in employee stuff, and walked away having said absolutely nothing to me nor making eye contact.

Yelp
Conveniently close to my job while coming home from work. So glad to have found a Kroger's on the way home from work! Store is well organized and easy to navigate through the aisles. Plenty of parking, and convenient driveways from both sides of cross streets. Definitely will be returning as a frequent shopper more often!

Yelp
Great place to do your monthly market, good service, employees are a little strange but very nice people. Always not too full and can do my shopping quick. 100% recommended

Will S.

Yelp
It's a shame I gotta rate the store this due to the "security guard" but if I could negotiate star I would talk about a guy that wanted to be a cop but obviously wasn't able to pass the exam. He is disrespectful and rude. He pulled up on me like he had a problem and stared at me like he was some thug gangster in a Kia . I'm a Uber drive and and was just waiting on a rider . I won't pick up here again

Yelp
Love! My go to Kroger's. I love the high ceilings, and the hardwood floors. Many times when I go, there's always so many marked down items and sales. The employees are a hit or miss. I've dealt with some friendly ones, but also many grumpy ones - typical large store environment. I definitely recommend signing up for their Fuel rewards (or whatever it's called) program, for every 100pts, you get $.10 off a gallon of gas at Kroger or Shell. The parking lot at night is typically well lit and I haven't encounter any sketchiness in the parking lot. They have a good variety of plants right when you walk in and at Christmas, they have trees. During Thanksgiving, they have great meal options for up to 12 people. I ordered online and they had it ready for me at the date & time I chose - no problem. Super easy & a big time saver!
google avatar

B W.

Yelp
Poor service, over priced and dirty. What's not to like? Only positive is you can park close to front door and run in vs H‑E‑B that is so very busy. How is Kroger staying in business here? Pathetic!
google avatar

Meenakshi R.

Yelp
Kroger is just amazing. I like to do grocery shopping here all the time. I most of the time go Kroger than heb or anywhere else. Beware of gift cards however. Check the cards are sealed before you buy any gift card. Sometimes they are fraudulent near by who unseal the gift card and note the number and put it in Kroger gift card sale area and go. If you happen to purchase those unsealed card by mistake, as soon as you load the gift card, your balance will show 0. The card money will get looted. I donno how they do it. But it's happening. So check for sealed cards when you buy. I mean the the card number should not be left open.

Yelp
I have seen them improving a bit here lately so I'll give them their star back. for a while it was the ghetto Foodtown here. hell, I'll give them two more stars.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
This review is based on my experience ordering online through their pick up service. Order was supposed to be ready between 4-5pm. I arrived at 4, called and the order wasn't ready. Went inside after 15 minutes because my baby was getting fussy and was told it would be another 30 minutes! So unprofessional! I'm going home and will have to come back.

Yelp
It boggles the mind how this store can remain so ineptly run. It's certainly not the fault of the staff but of the Kroger corporation and the management of this location. I'm offered coupons for free items that they are promoting, so I asked for their location, no one knows. So a product person comes to help me and tells me we don't have that product. So why are you giving out free coupons for it? I asked the location of another product, I'm sorry is the answer, we don't have that here anymore. I use the self check out, and it doesn't work, not just once but repeatedly. I ask for help and the person cancels my entire order so that I have to ring it up again. It's always a hassle having to type in or swipe your Kroger card when you can just go to target, Walmart, or H-E-B and find a broader selection of products at lower prices, and they're always in stock. Why the hell Kroger continues to operate on an archaic and bizarre business model is beyond me. Bye-bye Kroger, never again.

Julie J.

Yelp
Store sold used Amazon gift card and then manager failed to want to help and used those horrific words, not my problem. Took me an entire weekend to get money back. Looks like inside job. Both Kamar and Fuad should be trained in humanity and interpersonal communication skills. Will never patronize another Kroger.

Yelp
I go to the grocery store A LOT. No matter how hard I try to get everything I will need for the week in one day, I inevitably forget something or some other need crops up during the week, and I find myself, once again, back at the grocery store. So, even though I've only lived in the area a couple of months, I've been to this Kroger MANY times. I like it! Good, friendly service, great selection of food and other household items. Lots of gluten free options! This Kroger is perhaps a tad bit smaller than some of the others ones I've been to, but it's completely adequate. They're open 24 hours, which is cool. The produce isn't always the freshest, but it's not terrible. Prices are pretty good, I guess. I'm not that much of a bargain shopper - more about convenience. There are many grocery stores in this area - Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Randall's, HEB....but I'm pretty loyal to this Kroger.

Yelp
Fayea checked me out in the line as fast as possible ! Which was great, she was new but she was fast. !!!! Manager Carlos helped an elderly lady when she came in and needed a handicap cart; I told him she needed help and he had an employee bring it to her and helped her in, very kind. I also asked where a few items were as I had never been in Kroger; he told me one item was on 15 and the other on 8, he said if I needed him to help me he would. I was good but that is great service ! Thanks !!!! I'll be back !

Yelp
Horrible customer service, walked in at exactly 7:57 and the customer service desk was already closed when I asked the short guy with glasses if they were closed he said yes, I asked what time they closed he said we close at 8, I said it's not 8...his answer was "by the time we get to the last customer already in line it'll be 8". This guy failed miserably customer service 101, correct answer would have been to get behind the counter and help with the customers in line and then close at 8 and not a second before.

Nakia F.

Yelp
This review is for the PHARMACY I just had a great experience there. Both technicians were super sweet and helpful, leaving me with a strong feeling of having been cared about which is fantastic when one is both feeling and looking sick and tired. These two were thorough and friendly. Not only that but my prescription was ready earlier than expected. Great staff. Great service. Thank you.

Bill B.

Yelp
If you like blaring rock and Club music at top volume while you're trying to shop, this is the store for you! I'm in my 50s and enjoy rock music too, but when I'm trying to think while I'm shopping it's so annoying to hear this music so, so loud. One literally can't even think while they're shopping. I've lived in this area for 25 years and shopped the store and loved it the whole time until the last year when they began with the loud music. I have tons of friends in the area and they all say the same thing. The store has just gone downhill so quickly in the last year. To be honest it's a total dump these days. If I were you I would go to H-E-B nearby, or actually any place that isn't blasting music is quite as loud as they are..

Yelp
This review is for the pharmacy only, NOT for the grocery. I get one medical supply which is unfortunately handled only by Kroger in Texas, and I was not able to order it through my normal pharmacy (CVS). I am a college grad with more than a few hours of post-grad work, my father was an MD, and I've got enough medical conditions to know more medicine than most pharmacists, but the lead daytime pharmacist at Kroger treated me, not only very rudely, but like a total idiot when I tried to order this particular device. To say that I was insulted in dealing with her would be a gross understatement. I finally called the manufacturer to tell them I refused to deal with her, and they arranged for me to deal with a shipping service at the same price (covered by my insurance company). If you have prescription business, do yourself a favor and take it somewhere else--it's just not worth the condescending attitude of this low-life person. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, but if I had, I'd do everything I could to have her removed from the staff at Kroger, which is a fine store.
google avatar

Yelp
I literally drive by two Kroger's to go to this one. It's always nice, the people are friendly, and the deli ALWAYS has the Kroger tuna salad... WHICH IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!
google avatar

Ami P.

Yelp
Great selection of produce and other items! Everyone is very friendly. They even have demos with samples sometimes in the produce and dairy section.

Sally G.

Yelp
I can't believe I keep trying to buy at this store. Whoever the store manager is is evidently NOT customer friendly and does NOT teach his employees how to treat customers. Twice I had to wait for employee to move cart where they were loading dairy items. (This always happens around the cheese. Could it be they need to move extra displays from there so there is room for customers to get by.). Then, I was in self checkout out, needed help as I had 3 large items. The girl that FINALLY came over seemed very "put out" that she had to help me. If Kroger had "skip bagging" on their menu I wouldn't have needed her. What do they pay her for if not to HELP customers? Every time I check out at this store I feel like I'm a burden on them for just showing up. Kroger you need to replace or retrain this store manager. I can't tell you how many friends avoid this store like the plague. You might get away with it for now but it will catch up with you.

Sandra C.

Yelp
I signed up at Kroger store , to receive a senior discount. On the senior page it shows Kroger as a discount on Tuesday. I was told that they don't offer it ... because the younger people were abused the system..I called corporate ... the answer is only certain states offer it .., it's a shame that Kroger's stores choices what state can have it .. is that discriminating against the seniors... do they pick what state has the smallest seniors in their area? Shame on them . I will rethink why I shop
google avatar

Yelp
I think I got way too excited about this Kroger the first time I went in it. It's not the best grocery store around by any means, but it's not the worst (trust me when I say this). But it's gone down a star for a couple of reasons. 1. I cannot EVER find produce here that looks like something I want to eat. It always seems old and limp. 2. Their meat department is lacking. Half of the meat looks like it's going to expire in a day and I can't find hardly any organic/ grass fed/free range meat. The ONLY reason I still go to his Kroger and why it's a 3 star instead of a 2 is because it's right around the corner first of all, but mostly because they still have a great wine selection and I'm a wino...
google avatar

Joe K.

Yelp
It's layout surely beats the nearby HEB which is so crazy to navigate through. I always expect to find either a minotaur or Jack Nicholson stalking through that inconvenient maze. The prices are more expensive even with a club card and the meat isn't as quality as HEBs. It is 24 hours though so I frequent this place often.

Starr V.

Yelp
Have never had a problem here until last week. I ordered 5 dozen unfrosted cupcakes last Monday and asked that they have it ready by Thursday, because I was unsure when there would be time to pick them up and I had an event I needed them for on Friday afternoon. The person I talked to confirmed that the cupcakes would be ready by Thursday at 9AM and I even gave them a name and phone number. Friday morning, we go to the bakery and they tell us that they do not have our order and that there wasn't even an order placed for it. How does that even happen? We had to make a lot of last minute changes for the event because of this and it was truly the biggest inconvenience. The people at the bakery did not even try to offer us a solution for their mistake. Will never be using this service ever again.
google avatar

Arie W.

Yelp
The rude employee mentioned in the previous post was fired. I did return and have had amazing experiences wit every visit. They always have several lanes open so the lines move fairly quickly. I shop here because of convenience. When comparing to HEB, some items are cheaper, some are not. The parking is definitely much better here. I'm glad they are putting customers first and working diligently to resolve CS issues.

Yelp
I kind of hate the grocery stores in Houston. Mostly because none of them are Wegmans. Alas, Kroger is the one I have found that most satisfies my unecessary pickiness. Their produce is usually quite good, the shelves are organized and when I go (usually at about 8am on Sunday) it's empty. The employees are also very friendly, and they answer all my nitpicky questions about grass fed beef, seafood freshness and general ridiculousness. If I get there and it's crowded, I will leave. I also am deathly afraid of those kid carts with the car on the front. Whoever came up with those must have a death wish for those of us not afflicted with little spawn. Seriously, the people weilding those are incredibly rude and seem to lack any regard or even NOTICE that there are, in fact, other humans in the world who may want to pass you in an aisle. And no, your child screaming about froot loops is not cute. At all. My ovaries are shriveling. I digress. This is a perfectly acceptable grocery store with a killer bakery department and is open 24 hours. Just please, don't bring your kids before 10am on the weekends when the grownups come to shop.

Yelp
This Kroger is just down the street from me, and therefore it is super convenient for my shopping needs. I love that they are open 24 hours a day which allows me to make a quick grocery run at 1am when I am just on my way home from being out of town. The prices are a little high on some items, but as long as you have your Kroger card on you, some of the prices will come down a little.

Yelp
This store is super close and convenient!! But I go out of my way to not shop at Kroger any more. It's smelly in the stores. And let's not forget about the horrific customer service here especially at this Kroger. Dang shame all should be fired. I hate to say that but it's the truth. Don't shop here we all worked hard for our money.

Yelp
Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. Absolutely horrible management. The pharmacy is the absolute worst. The actual pharmacy manager literally lectured me like I was a 5 year old for not sitting in the chairs and waiting. To be honest with you...I always thought they were for all the older people that are always sitting there. I was standing down the counter leaning and reading. Quite far enough away for privacy. And PS. WHO CARES! He was carrying on about privacy when in actuality...they have an area in which to have such conversation. I was stunned. And this guys smug, smarmy demeanor. I have ceased doing business in this store. The employees hostile attitude toward the customers is astounding. I have pretty much stopped shopping at Kroger all together. The experiences are always sub par. Very low standards all around.
