Kroger Workers Will Protest In Houston For Pandemic Hazard Pay | Eater Houston

"A rally is planned at this store from 4–7 p.m. where employees and supporters will press management to continue the $2-per-hour hazard pay put in place early in the pandemic. Organized by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 445 with backing from groups such as the Democratic Socialists of Houston, demonstrators argue the company’s subsequent one-time “thank you” bonus does not adequately address ongoing risks and financial pressures as the pandemic persists. Organizers also cite the company’s recent decisions to terminate the union healthcare plan, reduce full-time positions, and cap part-time vacation as fueling the protest. The event reflects wider labor frustration in the area, including a related hospitality-union rally ten days earlier and concerns after expanded unemployment benefits lapsed a month prior." - Brittanie Shey

The younger lightskinned man with the afro named Matthew that works at the customer service area should NOT be a representative of customer service. He is extremely rude and standoffish. This is the second time I've personally experienced his lack of wanting to assist. I come here every month to get a money order to pay rent. The first time I came and spoke to him when I got to the front of the line, I was met with barely a grunt acknowledgement and no thank you when handed the money order. I passed it off as maybe he was having a bad day- it happens. I came in today and when he finished with his last customer, I stepped up and he just stared at me and said nothing. I spoke and said "hello how are you?", and was once again met with an attitude, an eyeballs with a grunted "good". It felt like I was bothering him, by being in his line, so I told him nevermind I'll wait for the other cashier and stepped aside. You would think that he knows me personally and has an issue with me the way he acts when he's "assisting" me at the counter. I've never met nor seen him before besides at customer service the past 2 months. He is not a proper representative to be running the Customer Service area if he doesn't want to greet a customer with a "Hi" when they are doing a transaction in a store.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kroger Westheimer – An Unforgettable Experience! The Kroger on Westheimer is truly a standout branch, and it’s more than just a place to shop. You can genuinely feel the care and effort every employee puts in day after day. The team here doesn’t just work—they work with dedication and passion, and it shows in every detail: from perfectly organized shelves, spotless aisles, to their constant smiles and professional, efficient service. The consistent hard work of the staff here is remarkable. They’ve truly achieved an extraordinary level of excellence in customer service and the overall shopping experience. You can see their daily efforts paying off, creating a welcoming, smooth, and enjoyable visit every single time. The store itself is clean, organized, and comfortable, and with every little update or improvement, you can tell management and the team genuinely care about delivering the best possible experience. Honestly, out of all the Kroger branches I’ve visited, this Westheimer location has become one of my favorites—whether for the service, the organization, or the positive energy that the team brings to the store. Kudos to every staff member there—your consistent, fruitful effort is truly appreciated and makes every visit special 👏💛 If I could, I would give them 50 stars for the incredible service, dedication, and hard work they show every single day! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The white lady with long hair working at self check out at around 3pm was really friendly and funny. I'm still laughing at the joke she made. She literally made my day. I needed that laugh. I'm most definitely coming back to shop at this kroger location just because of her even though I there's a kroger right by my house. Five stars for her 💜💜💜💜💜

Came here for a quick shopping trip while running other errands in the area. The store was clean and organized. I had no problem finding items I needed. The checkout line was moving at a normal pace. Christmas tree options for the holidays at the entrance. I had no problems during this trip.

It is very disappointing to receive rude customer service at my neighborhood Kroger, particularly in the meat department. I waited for approximately 10 minutes while requesting a specific type of roast, and the employee repeatedly told me they did not have any available in the back. However, when I asked another associate, I immediately saw three chuck roasts displayed in front of me. The employee showed no concern or apology for the misinformation and lack of assistance, yet appeared willing to help another customer instead. The experience was disheartening and unacceptable.

Google
I buy from the Kroger twice a week . I never had a problem . Now the self check out lines any one can use even if you have tons of groceries. My complaint is this holds up the line for people with less than 10 items. I was told by one of the workers. There is no limit to how much groceries you checking out. Now I will never shop there again . That method is taking to long .

14 yrs of loyalty shopping and over a recall I ask for cash for less than $22 and they refuse. I know for a fact with working retail grocery for yrs myself store managers and asst manager can override something like that specially for amount that small. DO BETTER KROGER COUNT YOU DAYS.

Yelp
This used to be my go-to grocery store 5 years ago. It had everything I wanted Good prices no problems. Over the years I started coming less and less as it felt increasingly unwelcoming and grungy compared to other grocery stores. A while back I tried to curbside orders to see how that would go, I ended up sitting waiting in the car for longer than it would have taken me to just go in and buy the items. The requirement to use digital coupons has made shopping more of a chore, especially when sometimes they won't scan or the internet in the store isn't working properly. Today really took the cake. I came by to grab a birthday cupcake which is already overpriced at $5 but it's for a friend's birthday. I stood there watching the person in the bakery department doing something in the distance. She looked up with me standing there waiting has she licked her finger. Then went back to work. I took a look around the bakery department thinking maybe I could get something that wasn't behind the glass that I needed help with. But nothing caught my eye. Eventually she looked up again and said in a very frazzled voice "I need to do this, do you want to wait?" I think my eyes clearly demonstrated that the answer was no as she went back to work without waiting for a response. I opted to grab some pre-packaged cupcakes instead. I'll still come here out of convenience from time to time as I kind of appreciate how laid back the store is compared to some others that I just find overwhelming and full of people. Perhaps this Kroger just harkens back to a simpler time, when we weren't in such a rush?

Yelp
Just be aware that they will always get you on a so call sale items. This is the 3rd time that the price it's marked lower and when you checkpoint it's not al all. Horrible not shopping here anymore.
google avatar

Maria-Elena T.

Yelp
I came here every morning as it opened during a week of a business trip. I came for the Starbucks inside but also made a few purchases. The place is big, the options numerous, and I liked the layout. The sale prices were really good. I wish it was closer to where I lived. One day I dropped my credit card. I asked all the employees if they had found it. Customer service had not opened yet (opens at 8am). Everyone was nice about it. Finally I was looking in a pile of dirt and the older Hispanic gentlemen who was sweeping the floor and who I had asked earlier led me to it. Yay! He found it and remembered me. So sweet and professional!

Yelp
You know. I am grateful for Kroger during this CoVid19 Pandemic than any other time. I used to shop at H-E-B in Chinatown because of price. But after they took away the things I love, I am back at Kroger Elmside store. There are many things working fantastically for me and there are things are just so-so. My recent pickup experience was meh. I spent more time putting my order on computer than going to the store. I ordered it on Monday and had to wait 6 days for order to be filled (I guess it was due to Easter). If I knew some items I could pick up during my usual shopping trip, I would had picked up on Wednesday. I was disappointed with items don't exist. The guy told me they ran out. I actually was in store in the past 4 weeks. I couldn't find it. Then, a couple of items were substitutes. I would had chose other options like going to different store. I received a call an hour before the time supposed to be ready as it was gonna be a delay. I just don't understand I waited 6 days and there was more wait. When I arrived, I had to wait longer. Yup. I'm here in real life every week.

Yelp
This post is for people with no car and/or who have priorities like small kids or physically dependent adults to take care of. We were in here yesterday shortly after 2pm, and there was no ground poultry or beef meat or ground meat alternatives like Impossible. I don't go looking for any other type of ground meat over there, but NOTHING ground was on display. Thank goodness they had what we were looking for in frozen patties, including Impossible patties. They were a bit more expensive, but we didn't have to change our weekly menu. They were also missing one variety of my favorite veggie*, and the other variety was slim pickin's, so we had to pass on getting any while there. This store is too big for snafus like this, especially a totally bare ground meat area. I'll definitely be swinging by less often AND giving thanks that I don't have dependents to factor into my already-busy schedule. See ya when I see ya Kroger. *EDIT not potatoes....or mac 'n' cheese. I wasn't raised here.

Yelp
I love Kroger just not missing shopping carts. They try. What can we do just be thankful it is open.
google avatar

Tommy T.

Yelp
Barely any carts in store. Lazy staff don't wanna work. This Kroger use to be good. Now they down in the hole. Another thing is they advertise the small plants for $3.00 each as you can see in the pictures. Maria and Jose cashier denied the sign. Kroger is misleading customers. Good luck. Horrible business practice. I wouldn't shop here again.

Yelp
Ordered 8 PC Fried Chicken at Hot Deli. At dinner time notice chicken half-cook. Decided to give it a second try two weeks later. This time chicken over-cooked. Also noticed raw chicken uncovered on prep table at unapproved temperature. This is unacceptable.
google avatar

Shannon L.

Yelp
This place is the Wild West for shopping carts. Not only are you competing with your fellow shoppers for wonky-wheeled, trash-filled shopping carts scattered about the parking lot, you are walking across the entire length of the lot for that one errant cart only to find that it's wheels are locked as other more successful cart-finding shoppers laugh at you quietly. Shopping here is fine otherwise. Also they have gas.

Yelp
I was here at 7:58 and the drive they was "closed " so I had to park and go inside as soon as I got here at 8:01 the Asian pharmacist was locking up and didn't give me a good explanation at all he said look at the time and pointed at his watch. I think that putting the drive-through sign saying "closed" should be the very LAST thing that they do. I really needed my medication and made a trip out here and I am going home empty-handed. And then I have a smirky pharmacist on top of it all.

Yelp
I went to the Kroger on Westheimer and Elmside tonight and experienced the worst service that I have ever experienced. As a customer whom regularly shop at Kroger, I am fully aware that after a certain time, there are no Cashiers and you have to do everything through self checkout. I generally don't always check my receipt but I noticed the last couple of times I've came, things did not scan as they were supposed to. Now, I read ALL signs and the fine print bc you have to now that advertising and signage is designed for you too. I purchased 3 Dr. Pepper products that were labeled on sale 3 for $5. No digitial coupon or nothing ; it was just the weekly sale price that was in the ad. I purchased 3 and the sale was not deducted . being that I already paid, I politely let the attendant know that the soda did not ring correctly and that I needed a price adjustment. she told me that I had to come back the next day for a refund. I advised her that I did not plan to come back into at least the weekend and asked herif she would call a manager or someone who can do the refund. the attendant yelled at me and told me I should have told her before I paid, and she was very nasty, rolling her neck and eyes as if it was my fault it rung up wrong. by this time my spouse already took our groceries to the car while i waited for the manager to come . the manager made us go and get the items out of the car just for them not even scan or touch them at all in order to get the adjustment. The attendant Diana and manager Jawad provided the worst customer service ever even the other customers were asking how is that right and asked her was she ok. O one spending money in an establishment should have to deal with the level of attitude, rudeness and unnecessary trips to the car for them not even tough the items . I've literally been shopping at Kroger for over 20 years and have never encountered such a bad experience. Diana is there a lot of nights and this can't be the only complaint bc she is always yelling at customers when she have to come over as if they did something wrong. no one should have to deal with this level of disrespect and awful service. The manager did not even apologize or show any sympathy. For some reason he listened to her and was under the impression, I wanted money back and the products when I just wanted the $4 and change due to me. As I explained to him, no it's not a lot of money but right is right and wrong is wrong. The level of service at this location really needs to be addressed.

Yelp
I like this fuel center. Like the store, it's not super busy, and I get to take advantage of Kroger's good gas prices and fuel points discounts. The only downside is, the machines NEVER seem to have paper in them. If the booth isn't open, then you're out of luck. It's annoying, as it's happened MANY times at this point; getting a receipt at the pump is more of an exception than a rule here, and this was before covid. They lose stars for that.

Gail T.

Yelp
I really had a good experience today and one reason was the man named "Mike" at the front of the self check line. I had forgotten to add the coupons before I hit pay and Mike was super busy going from one register to another but he took the extra step and put in my coupons for me. He could easily have sent me to stand in line at customer service so I feel very blessed today. Plenty of grocery carts inside the store, it was clean, prices are decent considering the economy.

Yelp
Kroger has good selection at reasonable prices & it's conveniently located. There are 2 major problems: there are frequently items nowhere near where they belong, often ones that need refrigeration in places that don't have it. Most of the workers are good, with one glaring exception: Donna, a cashier, has twice botched my checkout because she can't receive cash & change while running the card scanner. This is a job requirement. Today I gave her $1.07 against a bill under $30, because I knew stores need $1 bills & coins. Instead of crediting $1.07 against my bill, she debited my card for $1.07 & kept the $1.07 cash in her hand. I had to tell her that she'd debited my card for $1.07, even though it was on the display. She didn't understand, & then debited my card for another $1.07. I still couldn't check out because the bill hadn't been paid. We had to wait some time for a manager while I had to explain to the 2 people in line behind me why they couldn't check out. The manager repaid me $2.14 for the 2 debits, gave me the $1.07 in cash back, and then rang up the rest of my balance to debit my card a third time. The previous time Donna rang me up, I gave her 27 cents cash before the debit. She rang up 37 cents, despite having my 27 cents in her hand which she clearly couldn't count. Donna then asked me for a dime, which I didn't have, to fix her mistake. The customer in line behind gave her a dollar & told Donna to keep the change. There's no way Donna is ringing me up again. There's a Randall's in the next block & an HEB 2 miles away, not to mention several other Kroger's cashiers who know what they're doing.

Yelp
I was there this afternoon. They had very limited staff today. I waited in line for at least 15 minutes or longer. There were over 20 people in self checkout line. Some of my frozen food items were thawing by time I got home.

Yelp
I approached the Assistant Manager in regards to the service desk I was on lunch and needed a money order and wanted to grab something for lunch lines were LONG and the service desk closed and she stood talking. Poor service!!!! Won't be back

Yelp
The worse Kroger I've ever visited. Management is terrible, employees don't care, they disrespect the customers. This is the third incident!! I was on my way to pick up my prescription, I called the pharmacy 3 times, the 3 times they hanged up the phone on me. I arrived at the window before 8:00pm, the window was covered, I knocked, an Asian guy was very angry at me and said we're closed, I told him it's not 8:00 yet, he kept yelling at me and said the register is closed, when I kept telling him it's not 8:00 Pm yet, he said you come inside!! He refused to give me my medication from the window because I disturbed his early closing. I guess from now on the customers at this Kroger are always wrong even when they're right.

Yelp
This particular kroger is located close to the corner of gessner and Westheimer, and is relatively busy any time of the day. There is nonstop traffic of pedestrians going in and out of the grocery store and other customers trying to park. I usually have to park way at the end of the lot and then walk towards the entrance. Once you're inside, it is usually crowded and be careful maneuvering around carts. The layout itself is very nice. They seem to be very organized and most of their items are very well stocked. They have a separate area for organic items and their items are place nicely in areas according to categories. The workers at Kroger are also very knowledgeable of where items are located and how to find them, unlike the workers at Walmart. They have a nice size pharmacy, and service booth where you can do tons of transactions, such as wire transfers, utility payments etc. They have plenty of express lanes of low quantity items. This seems to expedite the checkout process and to maintain the steady flow of traffic. Also towards the left corner checkout area are the self checkouts where you can handle all the transactions yourself. This location also has a redbox kiosk and recycling plastic containers. Also, I have noticed that the cart attendant usually collect all the unclaimed cart fairly frequently from parking lot. Overall, I have had a pretty good experience.

Yelp
I love shopping for my weekly groceries at Kroger. 1 stop shopping in a clean environment. I love that they have zevia the sugar free soda, and other Keto friendly products.

Yelp
Worst Kroger ever. Employees could care less about service. Self scan line closed to all but special customers.

Yelp
Today I went to pick up my meds. One was Ritalin. I'm supposed to get 180 for 3 months. Well.... I only got 76. I counted them because the bottle was half full. Unfortunately, they had closed at 5 but I did leave a very long message at the end of my message I told them I will be bringing the Police with me... I went back to Kroger and they put my meds in TWO bottles. My mistake.

Yelp
Love stopping by this Kroger's location. It's location is a about 10 minutes from my home. They always have great offers on produce, organic food and all around the store for Kroger's valued (registered) customers. Plus it has a starbuck's inside store and a bank. So 3 in 1 is a plus for me because it saves time and gas. Also they have a Kroger's gas station outside on back of their parking lot with affordable prices. Plus cashiers and other staff is super friendly. Also they are open late and have self check out for when in a rush. Overall this is a great location.

Yelp
Kroger is more convenient for me to go to but I'd rather go to Randall's just a bit further away on S. Gessner and Westheimer. I usually only go to this Kroger when they don't have something I need at Randall's or when I'm pressed for time. The gas prices are a couple of pennies cheaper than Randall's but all the pumps are always full and I usually have to wait a while before I can fill up so again, I'd still rather go to Randall's for this because there's always an open pump and I've never had to wait. Prices are pretty competitive with Randall's, but not competitive enough. Randall's constantly send me coupons in the mail ($10 off $30, or $0.30/gallon of gas for every $75 purchase, etc) while Kroger never sends me anything to make me want to go there. The place is clean enough and the groceries are fresh enough. But clean enough and fresh enough aren't good enough for me to go there. The good thing about shopping at Kroger is your fuel points can be used at Shell gas stations. Yeah, yeah. I know I sound like a Randall's fanboy here, but I'm just stating the facts though. There are plenty of other grocery stores in the area (HEB, Whole foods, etc), but I'm sticking to Randall's because of the convenience and the prices. Sorry Kroger. You used to have my business but now Randall's has it.

Yelp
No issues with this Kroger, friendly staff and clean aisles. Was fortunate to find a staff member to pick out some fruit for me. No complaints at all.

Yelp
Getting a discount at the pump for shopping sounds like a great deal to me. We are all aware of discounts you can receive at all Kroger gas stations just by using my our Kroger plus card. You receive a $0.10 discount for every $100 spent at the store. I know this may seem like a lot of money, but one will be surprised how quickly they at up. Also keep in mind that certain a items reward you with more points, such as gift cards and select specials. This particular location is super convenient for me, being right next to my place. It's my go to gas station. I find this location always has the lowest gas prices compared to the surrounding stations. So, it's a no brainer for me. Due to it's low prices, it's a station that is constantly busy. It has about 10 pumps and are they are busy always. They do have an attendant at all times to make it convenient for it's cash paying customers. One thing I like about this location is that there is a security guard available at all times. You see him riding his "Paul Blart" around the parking lot. Lol That helps in the evening hours. An FYI, if you are a late pumper like I am, beware this location closes exactly at 10:00 p.m. So try to make in before 10. I believe they open as early as 6:00 a.m. Reason for 4 stars is due to that fact, would be convenient if they stayed open later for us night owls.

Yelp
Purchased a food product at Kroger's today on April 9, 2021. I noticed the product was dated February 14, 2021! Terrible quality control at this location. Either that or they are just hoping you won't notice it!

And to the boss please make sure u hire people that like what they do or at least a bit more trained in customer services !!!! Now I have to change to another pharmacy that wants our Business!

Yelp
STAY AWAY FROM PHARMACY!! EXTREMELY RUDE PHARMACISTS MONICA AND ELIZABETH --it's as if they go out of their way to be as rude and disrespectful as possible, even towards loyal customers. If you have any kind of chronic illness requiring monthly refills of important medicine, GO ELSEWHERE...this pharmacy frequently is "out of stock" on even the most commonly prescribed meds. Especially don't even waste your time going in if you're trying to fill a scrip for pain killers, including nerve pain meds..they will treat you like a "drug-seeking" criminal even when the scrip is proven to be legitimately written by well-known doctors. I get that there is an "opiate epidemic", but, these pharmacists are obnoxiously and unnecessarily paranoid about any controlled substance scrip-they really go overboard with it-If you tell them that you will just go elsewhere, they threaten to get you denied at any other pharmacy as well. They tried that threat with me, my very last time there, I guess forgetting that I'm a medical professional myself, and I called them out on it-pharmacist Elizabeth reallllly didnt like that, and began screaming at me even louder than she already was, in front of other staff and pharmacy customers. Just stay away-there are many other pharmacies with great pharmacists, quick and polite customer service, and always keep the most important meds in stock-there are a lot of meds that cannot be stopped cold turkey and this place is putting their customers health and safety in jeapordy simply by being too incompetent to keep their inventories full. No excuse for any of it.

Buck B.

Yelp
Worst Kroger EVER!!! You will stand in line FOREVER! You cannot get anyone to help or tell you where anything is, they are useless-- very poorly trained and managed.

Yelp
This location has a nice litter hot bar and good chicken that tastes lovely, but this store location needs to get it together as for making sure that all of their merchandise is the correct locations that match the price tags. As a shopper, I should NOT have to work THIS hard IF I give them my business, which is to make sure that every merchandise, that I am interested in, matches the sku numbers (the extremely line set of numbers). This would take TOO much time. My 15-30 minutes in the store would turn into HOURS if I were to do this method!, in which, I don't think so.

Robin S.

Yelp
I had COVID SO I ORDERED FOR MICK UP. When I picked up I found my shampoo was broken and my lettuce was bad. I called waited on hold to be told I wouldn't be refunded for 7-10 days. That's annoying even over $4. It's simply insult to injury I can go out and get more and they will just give me my money back when ever.... That is awesome customer service!!! So I thought I wanted to just let the store know so the speak to the picker. Nope that didn't work sat on hold like 20 minutes. So I decide go on the app and rate the order. No option. There should be an option for rate order but now. So I start a chat and again waited for help then to be denied help because I could provide a member number. I even informed clerk of name address email address and phone number. The other clerk found the order but this one just wouldn't help. So gonna check out HEB pick program. I need one little thing from Kroger. So my little150 a week can go to HEB. Disappointed

Yelp
So we're new to the area. This krogers. Is very nice. I've been in here several times with no complaints. The staff moves lines quickly, and most visits I've had to come to the courtesy counter which also moves quickly. Check is always been a breeze. I have took a deep dive into the produce department yet, so I'll have to put that one on the to do list. Parking is easy , store is clean and friendly so I'll definitely be a regular here !
google avatar

Gary P.

Yelp
I'm practically a senior citizen ninja now and I get nervous in this store. I would not recommended sending a woman or child into this store. It's located in a declining area with a heavy flow of bus traffic zombies. It used to be a nice store for many years but it needs a few more security guards now. The Starbuck's inside the store is good and I'm sure the food is good. The gas prices are good.
google avatar

Brian D.

Yelp
I have a friend who now works at this store's bakery section and tells me all kinds of horror stories about it (stale food, dirt, bugs, etc). The baked goods at Kroger have always left something to be desired (I tend to go to HEB for that) but the quality here isn't up to par compared to other Krogers that I've frequented in the past. Their deli used to be pretty bad too, but it's slowly improved so I give them credit for that, at least. Otherwise, it's a nice enough store in a convenient location.
google avatar

Elorie K.

Yelp
A grocery store I feel comfortable going to after midnight. Much like any other Kroger, pretty much. It's in a nicer area than some others. I like how they have so many 'do-it-yourself' lanes!

Yelp
Horrible check out! Only 1 employee checking out and it is 8:45 pm. Many employees just organizing shelves though. Ugh smh

Yelp
This Kroger has the worst service at Guest Care. Obviously the management doesn't value this aspect of the store when they continuously understaff the service desk. Take your business elsewhere

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this location that I didn't already write in my previous review. The bakery is terrific. Christmas Eve, and the bakery STILL had plenty of great pastry treats to choose from. Clean aisles, a terrific selection of...everything!

It's right off of Westheimer so very convenient to get to if you need something last minute. The parking lot isn't huge but they do have a gas station. It's clean and not overcrowded inside. They had plenty of registers open so I didn't have to wait at all.

Yelp
Being a Kroger's customer since late 1970's back in Ohio. Moved to Houston and started visiting this particular location (even though I have 5 different markets within a quarter mile of my house) hoping to get good prices and customer service. After a few visits it was clear to me that the customer service has a lot to be desired of and if you go later in the afternoon you will only get the "remnants" of very poor picking and quality in the produce department. In several occasions I have approached floor employees for assistance and they either don't come back to give me an answer or they tell me that .."that is NOT my department".. No satisfaction from the management or website customer service. May I remind them that the competition is only going to get a bit more tough besides the current one. Both Lidl and Aldi are coming to town in larger numbers.

Yelp
The worst Kroger in Texas! Get ready to wait on the line at least 15-20 minutes each time you go there. Call it a Walmart actually, it's just like same with different name.

Yelp
Shitty service.... lack in customer service. They know it gets busy on the 1st of the month yet management never staff appropriate!!!! You spend your entire lunch on line. Not up to date with technology! You have to bring you paper bill to make payment... Hello no one does that anymore, we all have account access on our SMART Phones!!! Get with the program

Yelp
Would rate zero if I could. The SLOWEST damn people I have ever seen in life work here. Waited almost 15 minutes to get a money order, and ended up leaving without what I needed. Please institute some type of time limit per customer, because it's ridiculous. Would've seen my next birthday in that damn line, had I waited any longer...

Yelp
Checker Rodney was about as casually rude as you can get in customer service. I know it's also easier to play dumb like you don't know how to do anything, but give me a break; at least don't make it so obvious.

Yelp
This used to be my favorite local grocery store, but lately its quality and variety have drastically decreased. I frequently find lots of packaged food expired on the shelves, some products and brands that I used to buy I can't find anymore and the vegetables section is not the same either. Very convenient location and good gas discount prices with the card made me insist on this store for a while. After seeing a roach in the store entrance, smashed by the sliding doors (which was still there after I finished shopping), I decided it was enough. Totally worth driving two more blocks and go to Randalls!
