Krua Phech Doi Ngam (Classic)

Food is utterly amazing, really top drawer. Thai Omlette, Papaya salad and prawn soup were my favorite. Also very cheap for the quality and service experience (€40 for 6 people!). We will be back

May be I made wrong choices of dishes or may be not.. this is the total disappointment and I really have no idea how they’ve got michelin bibgourmand. At least the grilled pork should be good since I expect every Thai restaurant could be master of it. Except the pounded tomatoes and eggplants with assorted veggies, all other dishes have very poor taste. And it’s quite expensive so I wasn’t happy at all to pay for what I didn’t enjoy or can’t even finish.

Quaint restaurant, loved the decor. The meals were just OK, nothing special for a restaurant in the Michelin guide 2021, 22, 23 and 2024. Service was poor, staff spending more time looking at their phones than attending to the customers. Pity as we expected more after quite a drive to get there.

It's very accessible on the main road their Michelin star rating drew me in. The food looked really spicy but it wasn't. In my order, beef in the stew just melts in your mouth while managing to stay in chunks in this spice stew. It is hot, sweated while eating, but it is all good. If I return, I'll try classic northern Thailand dishes.

This place was highly recommended by Google and all. I've been visiting many other similar places here in Chiang Mai and I can say that this restaurant is not like what I expected. food looks good but did not taste good and service was also below standard, not attentive and slow and it would have been difficult if we cannot speak Thai. If you are English speaking visitor, please be aware that communicating can be difficult. Parking for car wasn't an issue as you can park along the street. Enjoy.

Food is good, very spicy and very intensive - truly this is the first restaurant since a long time where food tasted ,,exotic” and new. But was it ,,Michelin good”? Not sure. Staff can not speak a single word in English. Good to try, but I won’t come back

very good Northern Thai food Ordered bamboo fish and a couple of dishes with sticky rice and brown rice. Share portion per plate is suitable for family of 4. Worth a visit despite a slightly higher price. Taste is good!
