Small family owned restaurant with amazing food. Most of menu can be made gluten free. Service was great with one negative, we had to wait over half an hour after we were done eating because our waitress was dealing with pick up orders in between tables. So while I would definitely eat there again, I would ask for the check up front and pay immediately so I don't have to wait too long after I'm done eating.

Craving for Thai food while we're in the Chula Vista area. Penang Beef Curry - it's rich, creaminess and just medium spicy level as we requested is so good. Al dente veggies which is great. It could had been perfect if the sauce was thicker. 4/5 Shrimp Roll - freshly made vegetables/shrimp with two great choices of sauce. It was delicious. 5/5 Mixed Seafood Pad Thai - great combination of sourness and sweetness; its noodles is great. I wish there's more sauce because any leftover/ to-go PadThai absorbs the sauce and becomes little dry. Also, squid is little rubbery/chewy. 3/5 Mango Sticky Rice - love the sweet gooey sticky rice with the coconut sauce but I guess it's not really mango season. The mango is not the type of mango I was expecting or had from other Thai restaurants. 4/5 Great customers service! Would come again and try their different dishes. Few parking in front of restaurant; it's mostly along the street.

We stopped by this place, and wow, the food was really good! The flavors were spot on — everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. I especially enjoyed the red curry; it was rich and flavorful without being too spicy. There was a long line when we arrived, which shows how popular this spot is. Just a heads-up, they don’t have any sit-down dining — it’s all to-go orders only. My food took about 30 minutes to be ready, so it wasn’t super quick, but you can tell they take their time to prepare everything carefully. Overall, if you’re okay with waiting a bit and want tasty food with bold flavors, this place is definitely worth trying!

Food was delicious. The pad Thai was so flavorful. We had an amazing eggplant dish that was so good and red curry. The owner was super friendly and provided great service. I peeked at the kitchen and it looked really clean.

This is a cute cozy place that we dined in at and I was pleasantly surprised by their food options! And guess what? They have gluten-free options! I'm gluten intolerant so im always looking for places I can eat at! When I asked the server questions, she knew all the ingredients of each dish, making it really easy for me to order! She mentioned all the soups are gluten free, and many dishes use mushroom powder. I ate Tom Kha, which was absolutely delicious!!!!! And the Chicken Satay was good too! Both gluten free! The people that worked there were also very kind and made us laugh, very hospitable which made our experience even more sweet! I highly recommend this place! I'm looking forward to coming back!

Their food is amazing!! It taste like your auntie made it specially for you.. very home made like. Freshly made to order. Mango and stinky rice to die for, drunken noodles ahead on point... I could eat this every week... I never take pictures of my food because I'm shady ready to devour it.

First time here and the service was great and friendly. I got the Tom Yum Soup with shrimp, Chicken Spicy Fried Rice and Spicy Crab Noodle the food is tasty and savory will definitely come back again :)

This proverbial hole in a wall has become our go to Thai place in 2024. First it is way closer than going to Convoy or Hillcrest for our usual Thai fixes. Second the food has been worth multiple return trips. We have our favorites. Drunken Noodles. Pad see ew. Mock Duck Larb. Krua Thail does them exceptionally well. All bursting with flavor and well portioned for price. Another bonus is they serve E-sarn sausage which a few of our favorites stopped selling for whatever reason and we do love that dish. We have always done take out. We are always welcomed warmly and have never had issues with our orders. There are like three tables inside and the parking lot is small sharing spots (we usually park on the street. Not fancy but the food is worth it!

Love this spot for moneybags and the tea! The ambiance is also super cute and lots of people dine in. The service is quick and the parking is free and plentiful in their own lot.

I just received this order from grub hub. Based on the results I was looking forward to trying Krua but never again. This yellow, aged broccoli is not suitable to be served to customers. I've never seen anything like this in a restaurant before. I'm super disappointed. The peanut sauce was good but I'm questioning the freshness overall now. I'm hungry so I'm taking a risk

Stopped in for quick takeout. Super friendly staff took my order. Pad Thai chicken with a 6 on the spicy scale was delicious. Sticky rice for dessert and it was also delicious. We'll be back.

The food was amazing starting with the Money Pots as an appetizer delicious absolutely delicious. Followed by the pineapple curry again delicious. Service was excellent server was friendly and ensured we were taken care of. For a small hole in the wall place it is truly a gem in Chula Vista we will be back without a doubt.

I tried the chicken drunken noodles and Milk Tea, it was really tasty, I definitely recommend this place, has lots of flavor, about time I found a place with good drunken noodles and staff is friendly, it's a cozy place and looks clean.

Phoned in an order chicken satay and brown rice. I was only on a 30 min lunch break and went i arrived to pick up order, i was informed that they don't have it. The lady was very apologetic however i didn't help that he didn't call me back. I asked what was something that was easy to make and she said fried rice. I specifically asked if they make it with soy sauce and she said no so i ordered it. I got back to work and lo and behold they put soy sauce in it like at chines restaurants. Needless to say, i couldn't eat it

The food was amazing. It was our first time here and the daughter and mom were so welcoming. Filled us up and prices were also great. We are for sure coming back. Got us a new spot. Thank you so much.

Had the pleasure of being served by Pim they help me get a custom order for my kra da Pow and they were able to make it a spicy 11 for me! It's a very homely cute spot and I'm definitely coming back again.

Any of the chicken wings, drunken noodles & the egg rolls are delicious! It's a go to order. Definitely a small spot so I always order take out. My takeout smells so good that my mouth is always watering by the time I get home !

The food was good and the price was decent for SD standards but I would go back to this place. We ordered 2 of each of the following: beef panang, beef green curry, pad thai , pad see ew, Tom kha Kai and calamari. They were all delicious and satisfied all the craving. Place is a hole in the wall so we took the order to go. The owner was really great serving us last hour before they closed. He was very helpful.

I will definitely be coming back here. Both the food and drinks were delicious and made with quality ingredients. We ordered the mango tango chicken and pineapple fried rice and they were both amazing. The mango in the chicken dish was fresh and combined with the dish very well. The pineapple fried rice was also built to perfection. I also ordered the passion fruit iced tea which was sweetened with real honey. The guy who helped us during our visit was super kind, we even witnessed him being very compassionate to a homeless man walking by the store. I struggle with cynicism sometimes so it was really nice to see. Some details about restaurant itself that might be important to consider for some: it is a very small restaurant and doesn't appear to be able to accommodate large parties. It also gets pretty warm as they didn't have their AC on while we were there.

Papaya salad level 10 spicy as well as the pad Thai seafood combo 7 spicy heavenly! The service was amazing! And ambiance was perfect for an evening out! Recommend!

Food is always freshly made to order and has not skipped a beat. Be careful on your spicy levels because it's not the same as your other Thai option ! Staff is super friendly and always a goes above for you. Dining area is small so we tend to order out, and the food is surprisingly still hot when I get home. We came here after our regular spot closed and haven't gone elsewhere since! Highly recommend the Pad Thai (Spicy 6) or Drunken Noodles (Spicy 4) with Chicken and their spring rolls!

I bought 2 yellow curry & rice to go,,, & my daughter started to weave hair through the curry.. GROSS & unexceptable. The hair was so deep in the curry that it binded with the chicken!!! 1st time, last time. Disgusted!

Update! My husband and I have returned several time to Krua Thai, and have enjoyed it every time! Our latest adventure brought us a pineapple fried rice, and it was delicious! The takeout box was larger than usual too; definitely a plus. They're still only takeout, but that is not really an issue. The food is always delicious, and prepared in good time as well!

The flavors were authentic and packed with spice. The Pad Thai was delicious! The staff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. If you're craving Thai food this is the place to go!

This place is absolutely delicious and the service is extremely attentive and friendly. This inside is cozy and cute with just a few tables. The food is delicious and carefully made from scratch, everything tasted fresh, clean and like it was made with the utmost integrity and respect...great for take out!

The food was very delicious! The portions are very decent for their prices as well. The service going in was very nice, went in and they were on time with my food just barely packing it in the bag and it was a quick going in and getting food and on my way out. The mango sticky rice was the best part not too sweet just right! Very delicious. I would definitely recommend going here!

This is my favorite Thai place. Everything here is exceptional. I would highly recommend their shrimp pad thai, Chinese pork fried rice, and the fried spicy garlic wings!! They are very quick, customer service is great, and there's always leftovers for the next day. I also like the wonton soup. I had the summer rolls but I felt they were a bit on the harder side. The sauces that come with it are super good though.

Great Thai take out place. We ordered Yellow curry, Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, chicken skewers. My mom is from India and loved the yellow curry, and she's particular about take out food. The flavors were outstanding heat level was a 4. Everything was very good, our entire group said they would order from Krau again. We had a group of 4 and even had leftovers . My favorite was the Pad Se Ew with shrimp. Delicious. It's a little hole in the wall restaurant with outstanding food. Definitely will order on line and be back.

I've been living in Chula Vista about a year, but I don't know this place and it's just first time to try their food. First of all, I'm little bit picky about food and I choose Krua Thai Cuisine Because I want to try something new. I really like it. The wonton soup is delicious. The seasoning it's just hit your taste and the wonton it's big. Also the fried banana with the honey sesame it's really good the banana it's sweet and then they put the honey isn't watery its pure honey. I'm definitely gonna come back since it's just couple blocks away from me

It's a delicious hidden spot. Highly recommend. The food is delicious with amazingly fresh ingredients.

I like the ambience, food was good. I just think it was to little food. The water was an infusion cucumber and lime I loved that! I would definitely come back.

We ordered for pick up on Uber Eats at the time, however, they told us they weren't getting any orders from anyone so customers had to wait that day. I wanted to try their Crab Noodles and it was just okay. Similar to pad thai, the texture of the noodles were chewy and nice, however, we felt like there were too many bean sprouts and there wasn't anything to accompany it like limes. We also tried their E-San sausage and it was good, but not something I would re-order. Their Thai tea was my favorite and I would come back for it! Although the experience was a bit of a hiccup, I think their food was flavorful yet simple and still worth trying!

It was delicious!! Portions are very good, I recommend the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). As a Thai food connoisseur, I definitely recommend this place. The Thai tea was good too, some places water it down but the one here is nice and strong and sweet enough as well. They also ask you the heat level, I've gone to places where they don't even ask you. Overall, it's a great place and friendly service.

Very small dining area but the food is so good. I brought my son here and we tried the pad see ew. The red curry. The papaya salad and the fresh spring rolls. Everything was pact with flavor. The lady back there cheffing it all up was sporting padres gear. Love places like this.

Wow, I wish I lived in Chula Vista. I would be eating here at least once a week. It truly felt like homemade yummy Thai food. I forgot to take pictures because we scarfed down the food so quickly. Big portions and good price! Service was great! The food came out so quickly and Adam was so attentive and friendly. :) Place was a nice little hole in the wall, clean. Please give it a try. Great food and customer service. The parking is limited and tricky though. This is the only Thai restaurant in the area I've found that offers fish sauce with Thai chilis, so another reason why I love this spot!

The food at Krua is always made fresh and piping hot. It's the best thai food around. Love so many dishes here, but the Tom Kha soup and shrimp dishes are our favorite. Egg rolls are really good as well. You can't go wrong with this restaurant.

By far one of the best hole in the wall gems of a restaurant in the city. I'm super happy to live only 2.7 miles away from the delicious array of dishes offered at Krua Thai Cuisine. The staff members are super kind and always on their A game, preparing a variety of dishes for many different customers. Their entrees, soups, sides, and drinks are freshly prepared for each order all day long. A must try restaurant is an understatement.

So, something which should be articulated before jumping into this restaurant is it's a carryout place, and with two people working here, it's the service that knocked them down one star. The food is the other. We ordered the red and green curries, and whatever proteins we had with them were skimpy at best. The pineapple fried rice, on the other hand, was delightful. The mango sticky rice was decent, but nothing to write home about. The decorations around the place makes it feel as though someone's snarky parent moved into a commercial kitchen. If you're looking for inexpensive and middling Thai food, this is the place for it.

I ordered food here thinking it was another Thai restaurant in the area but I was pleasantly surprised that this is probably better than the other one I thought I was ordering from! I ordered panang curry, pad thai and Tom yum soup. My husband has been sick and I am a firm believer that Tom yum soup cures sickness haha. Their soup was probably the best I've ever had, so delicious and perfect amount of sour. The pad Thai had so much chicken and egg I appreciated that! The service was great and had my food ready when I got there. Will come back!

The food is prepared fresh, best we have had in the South Bay. We love the cheese crab appetizer it's "broke da mout" along with pad see ewe with Chinese broccoli only (if you ask, otherwise it's the American variety, still great). This our fav place in Chula Vista and you must try their fresh beef jerky, perfection.

Delicious Thai food, they do have indoor seating but it's very limited and they mostly do takeout. Try the garlic wings!!

Great friendly customer service ordered the pad see you (spelling is wrong I know) Tom yum soup & spicy garlic edamame. Noodles were meh, spice level was there I got 5/10 but other than spice no other flavor, one positive thing about it is that there was plenty of veggies which I love, chicken in the noodles tasted like my grandmothers ashes. Spicy garlic edamame felt like it came out of the freezer in aisle 5 wasn't spicy or garlicy. Tom yum soup was 10/10 . Would def go back just for that.

Service is AMAZING everyone is so nice Food is absolutely delicious!!! Pricing is reasonable as well. It no frills and good food. I truly appreciate the quality and it is not overly salty as some restaurants can be . I had eggplant delight with shrimp, crab fried rice #4 heat, and garlic chicken wings.This is take a shower put on your jammies, make a plate and climb up on the couch with your favorite blanket. The food makes you feel just as comfy cozy.

The food is awesome! It's a take out place just 2 or 3 tables and the food is served in take out boxes. We have it delivered all the time!
