Krupa serves seasonal American fare in a stylish former newsstand, making it the perfect spot for everything from morning coffee to flavorful nightcaps.
"Krupa is a power move for any post-Prospect Park meal, but this restaurant is good enough that it’s worth the trip even if you didn’t spend your day in the park. You might not know if from the highly laid-back feel of the place, but these people are turning out some really excellent food." - katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg
"If there was an award for The Best Thing Happening In Windsor Terrace, it’d probably be a very tight race between the new Nitehawk movie theater and Krupa Grocery. Except when you consider how good the American food is here, and how laid-back the secluded backyard feels. Okay, Krupa wins." - hannah albertine
"Krupa’s backyard has plenty of picnic tables, and you'll want to cover one of those picnic tables with shareable plates like ricotta gnocchi, risotto balls, and fondue. The well-priced carafes of wine are another big plus, and there’s plenty of shade if you go on a particularly sunny day. You can also grab a surf and turf picnic box if you want to take the party down the street to Prospect Park." - hannah albertine, neha talreja, bryan kim
"Krupa is one of those great all-purpose restaurants that anyone would be lucky to have in their neighborhood. There’s a big, sunny backyard and sidewalk tables out front—unsurprisingly, this place gets busy on nice weekends. It’s an especially kid-friendly restaurant, so no one will side-eye you if you pull a stroller up to a big table. The menu leans Mediterranean, and items like house-made chicken nuggets and a “babycino” (Brooklynese for steamed milk with cinnamon) feel very on brand for the area. " - carina finn koeppicus
"Need a little more variety? Krupa Grocery has something for everyone in your crew. And with its laid-back neighborhood vibes and big back patio, this place is an easy post-race celebration winner. Don’t let the carb parade stop just because you’ve already run the race - keep the party going with breakfast gnocchi and pancakes. Bonus: you’re a block away from a Prospect Park nap situation afterwards. F Train - Opens at 7am" - katherine lewin
