Krystyna’s Polish Food Debuts at the Silver Dollar | Eater Carolinas

"Operating inside downtown's Silver Dollar bar at 478 King St., this new Polish food concept touts “family recipes passed down by generations” and honors owner Victor Krupa’s late mother through classic dishes. The menu highlights pierogis, bigos and kielbasa, plus a $12 kielbasa plate served with hand-cut Polish fries and cucumber salad; pierogi creations priced at $7; $8 golabki (stuffed cabbage rolls); $4 potato pancakes topped with sour cream; and a $4 poppy seed roll for dessert. There’s also a $12 Reuben plate featuring sausage on rye marble bread and all-American options like sliders and wings for less adventurous eaters. Open three days a week — Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sundays until midnight — the concept plans to launch a mobile truck rolling through the neighborhood, expected to hit the road in mid-March." - Susan Stapleton

Highly recommend, great polish food and they truly care! Attended a concert at Firefly distillery and Krystyna's was there. My wife's family make traditional polish food often so we had to try it out. It was well worth the wait! The Stuff cabbage (Golabkis) were amazing and the sauce was incredible. We also got the Pierogi and kielbasa that were of course great as well. Towards the end of the concert I noticed Krystyna's was the only food truck still open and serving food. I had to run up and tell them how good everything was and I appreciated their authentic traditional food. I could tell they truly appreciated it.

The best polish sausage my family has ever had!! Not too salty, but very tasty with a snap!! The sauerkraut wasn’t too overpowering and the combination with their mustard was on point!! The cucumber salad was very cool and refreshing!! The dressing was heavenly!! There was nothing more I would have liked added or subtracted!! It was perfect!! The cabbage wraps were to die for and tasted so homely and wholesome!! I can’t wait to try their entire menu!! This place deserves a Michelin Star!! Thank you and best wishes!!

I got lunch today at the Innovation Center and it was amazing! I was truly blown away. I had the Golabki and beans - the Golabki reminded me of my childhood :). The beans were so flavorful that I could eat them every day. The poppyseed roll - phenomenal. So so good!

Reuben sandwich was to die for. Pierogis were even better. Quick and friendly service with authentic and delicious food. Don’t miss out on this place!

This is the best food I’ve eaten from a food truck in my life! Every time they come to the VA for food truck Thursday, I get a polish sausage hoagie. It’s huge and it’s delicious and SO filling. Not only is their food delicious, they treat you like family and are so welcoming! I will always make room for a polish sausage from Krystyna’s!

They were booked to be our food truck tonight for Food Truck Friday in Dunes West, and they ghosted us. I haven't had the chance to try their food. That's ok, though, I'm happy to support businesses that follow through on promises/contracts they make. Reply to owner: That's good, because the person who books our food trucks said you were no longer welcome here last year. It's really too bad. I'm almost half Polish and I LOVE Polish food. I was so excited to try your food and then you ghosted us. I guess it sucks to suck, lol.

Phenomenal food from awesome people! The guys running it were super cool and hooked me up. He recommended the Reuben which was an interesting take on a classic (kielbasa instead of corned beef, polish style) but still very delicious. But the star of the show for me was the Golabki. It’s a family recipe and I just know that family crushes these things. Man was it good! Definitely will be frequenting this food truck

I stopped by one of their food truck stops at Celadon in Noisette Park. I wanted the pierogi and the stuffed cabbage. Let me tell you that I was not disappointed! Their food was the best! Yes, I will find them again! I also bought frozen pierogi, and they were also great! You must try this truck if you are near it!
