Google
Great yummy food for those who doesn't like a lot of carbs, they customize yummy rich salad. Highly recommended!

I ordered from Uber Eats & for the first time from this place, a Caramel Macchiato and Mocha Frappe. They totally forgot the whipped cream, I think. The Uber driver said that's how it arrived. I've never had such a bad experience, and I didn't even get a full refund.

Google
Purchased 20 minutes ago. Nice guy. Mold on an item in the case. Eggs from the microwave. Bagels are shrunken but good.

Joey B.

Google
Excellent customer service, friendly wait staff and delicious pastries and coffee! It’s a must for lethargic students who need to get energized for the day! (P.S. try the Rugelach, it helps Ukrainian families and is really good!)

Victoria B.

Google
I have everything from coffee, ice coffee, breakfast sandwiches or burritos to lunch sandwiches and beef lamb wraps. Coffee good. Food on the other hand is good but for the price, it could be better by adding more meat. For me just to thin on sandwiches and bagels and wraps could be more meat as well. Just saying for the price your paying for lettuce and tomatoes. They are trying tho.

Google
There food is pretty affordable compared to other in downtown area adequate pricing

Google
Guy at the front is kind and friendly. Food was great too.

Alex

Google
Bald dude at the counter went out of his way to be rude for no reason. Not a queer friendly establishment.

Manveen K.

Yelp
rare high quality service from a group of people who know what it is to make their customers feel welcome. Generous portions of food and drink for a reasonable price. A rare community hub.

Yelp
Tried their mocha latte and was pretty low price compared to other coffee places I stop by. Lady behind the counter was pretty chill and the place was pretty clean. Quite spotless actually. I didn't try anything else on their menu yet. If I ever go back to Berkeley; I'll try to expand my palette and try to be less awkward while ordering.

Doos M.

Yelp
Service is GREAT! Welcomed with a smile and everything. When I go to a cafe, I unfortunately have the expectations of food made on the spot. I had ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and then all I heard was the microwave being turned on. I said to myself ok, I haven't eaten and I'm in need. Half the friggin burrito was cold. Then when I proceeded to Yelp! Service is NOT a reason to ever come back. 8.50 for frozen food, NEVER AGAIN.

Eli L.

Yelp
God bless K's. Some of the nicest people you've ever met work here. Cheap and delicious. What else can you say?
google avatar

Christy C.

Yelp
A quick stop breakfast when you're in the go with lots of different options. I usually just stick to a classic bagel + cream cheese which is bang for buck. I do prefer veggie bagels in the morning, but their veggie bagel is really overpriced and almost 3x the price of a regular bagel + cream cheese and nearly the same price as all their lunch sandwiches. I've tried their pre-made breakfast burritos which sometimes hits the spot but other times I think it may have been sitting there awhile and is not super fresh.
google avatar

Lolisha C.

Yelp
I ordered a turkey sandwich. It's really hard to ruin a turkey sandwich unless.... You burn the bread, KNOW that it's burnt and still serve it to a customer. Disgusting sandwich. They just don't care.

Yelp
This place is such a vibe. I have been there a lot of times and and always find it very welcoming. Selection is great with top notch quick service. 5 out of 5 stars in cleanliness, customer service and selection.

Yelp
K's Coffee Shop (name on frontage) has only location going for it. many students frequent here 12:30 on. order at counter/pay, get food when it's available. offerings: coffee, salad, pastries, muffins, cookies, sandwiches, burritos, desserts ... eats: pastrami sandwhich on sliced wheat bread (7.95) -check list ordering for sandwiches, wheat, sourdourgh, white bread only -toasted with provolone, mustard, red onions, lettuce, etc. tasted ok, not unami delicious brew: mr. expresso french (dark) roast (m 2.50) -better than average, above starbucks crumbs: -not a go to place, good to go to if in area.

Yelp
Remember when K's still billed itself as an Internet cafe even though that wasn't really a thing anymore and even if it had been K's didn't really have computer stations, so it was already misleading? Right, so do I. Faddish false advertising aside, this place sucks. The food can be OK, and it's really warm and inviting inside, especially when it's cold and rainy outside. But the service. The service is atrocious. I understand if there's only one person working and it's busy, but when I'm the only person here and there are five or six people yukking it up behind the counter and none of them is doing anything useful except staring me down whenever I look up to see whether my bagel is ready yet, it gets wearing. I gave this place plenty of tries, because I wanted their expensive custom chairs to be worth it. They aren't. Avoid.

Nick S.

Yelp
I been going here every time I am in neighborhood. I love their coffee and balgels. Their service is promp and friendly. Ambience is very laid back and cool. I enjoy working here on my laptop. Their internet speed is excellent.
google avatar

Juan V.

Yelp
Friendly staff and quick service. This is a hot spot for the near bye high school kids so it can be really busy at lunch times.
google avatar

Dominik S.

Yelp
Stopped.for a toasted pastrami sandwich. The sandwich was not toasted and otherwise boating and uninspiring. The kind you prepare yourself under 2 minutes at home from cheap and generic ingredients. Not stopping by here again.

Yelp
This place is good for a quick bite. There's free internet and the food typically comes fast. Their lemon bars are pretty good but not the best. There's an assortment of food and drinks to pick from. It's open pretty late which makes it a good place to get food if you are on break for for one of your night classes at Berkeley Community College. Their bagels are either a hit or miss. Sometimes they come nicely prepared but other times they come with barely any cream cheese and unevenly spread. I attached a photo of my disappointing bagel I recei today. Update: I was on a 5 minute time restraint and starving and I knew this place was close by. Luckily, it wasn't busy so today their bagel was better prepared and pretty good. I still wish they were more friendly though. The man who made my food handed it to me without even looking at me, but he made a decent bagel with evenly spread cream cheese. The other man who rang me up didn't seem very friendly either.

Yelp
K's Internet Cafe is one of those places where it's not the worst thing on Earth, but it's definitely the far from best. Unless you're already in the area looking for a quick pick me up, I'd suggest another location, but for what it is, K's definitely gets the job done. As it sits next to Berkeley City College, it definitely is one of those places that is super convinient for a student there to grab a quick pick me up or study for a bit. Pretty much like any standard Coffee Shop, but with a more worn down kinda vibe to it. They also offer Wifi and the basic amenities here as well, so it's not a bad spot to study at. I usually come here for the drinks, so whenever I need a super quick cup of Joe or an iced latte/mocha, I come here. Reasonably priced, it gets the job done and I do like their drinks. My favorite thing to order here is the iced White Mocha! I can't trust myself to get the food here, as although it sits behind a counter, every time I've visited in the past I can see tiny flies buzzing through the inside the glass panes, which makes me pretty wary. However, some of my friends really enjoy their bagels and breads, especially when toasted for a quick bite to eat. Workers here are alright, and pretty much are there to do their jobs. I have yet to have a bad customer service experience as some of these other reviews have reported, but they're prompt and do their jobs quickly. It's definitely one of those situations where you should treat them as you'd like to be treated, and from my experiences, they've been alright to me. Overall, K's Internet Cafe is really more of a 'Pick up and go' type of deal here. Definitely not the best Berkeley has to offer here, but they get the job done. I'd have to rate them a 2.5, as they're okay, I mean it's fine and gets the job done, but it's not really anything spectacular to be wowed over.

Yelp
It's convenient due to the fact it's next door to my School BCC. But other than that the items on the menu are over priced. Ordered a medium Thai iced tea and a raisin bagel, I was unsure if the bagel was blue berry or raisin so I asked the guy behind the counter what kind of bagel is it he had an attitude and was snappy with his reply, then, when I asked if he had strawberry cream cheese he seemed even more agitated. Oh! And the medium Thai iced tea portion cup is not a medium sized cup it's a small smh which cost me $3.50.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick bite. The service was quick and straightforward. Both the sandwich and coffee were alright.

Yelp
Excellent (appears to) family-owned, one stop cafe for bagels, sandwiches, mochas, breakfast burritos (pre prepared) for on the go. Located next door to Berkeley city college and has free WiFi. Look for the code next to the cafe register. I've gotten pretty much one of each of the items named and I have not been disappointed in the quality or quantity of the item. Today, I got a sandwich which is handmade and prepared via an ingredient list that I choose on and hand over to the sandwich artist. It is very well made and has more meat than bread, which is why I will go back for another! Really enjoy the convenience, the conversation from the owners/workers, and the espressos always made to order.

Yelp
I came in here to grab some tea and to take a gander around to see if it was a place worth frequenting. My answer was no. There was no real ambiance or personality to the place. The workers stared at me when I walked in, and were pretty unfriendly during the ordering process. I sat for a brief moment at a table, but felt too uncomfortable with being stared at and not feeling too welcome. I guess it's an okay place if you're looking for a quick drink or snack, but anything other than that ---- I think not.

Yelp
Small coffee shop right next to BCC. Service: I'm very disappointed in the customer service at this place. The cashier was rude and unprofessional. Seemed like he just wanted me out of there. He didn't say anything to me at all! I went up and said "Hi, I would like a small coffee please" and all he did was ring up transaction and waited for me to hand him cash. I did. He gave me my change and got my drink. There were no exchanges of words on this part! Food: The drink was bland. I didn't think you can make coffee bland. There were flies in the glass windows were the pastries were held, so I didn't even think of trying other. Note: The name Internet cafe sounds like you can sit down and study or chat with your friends. WRONG! The employees will stare you down and make you feel as uncomfortable can be. Is it because I only order a small coffee? Needless to say, I never went back. Overall: I would never recommend this place to anyone! There are so many other inexpensive coffee shops just around the corner (literally) that this one cannot even begin to compete.

Yelp
Came by for a quick take out sandwich. For a sandwich, you fill out a form on a piece of paper with their conveniently located pencils, and give it to the guy behind the counter. Sandwich was fine, although only bread slices, no rolls. Must try the piroshkis and the bakery item desserts next time

Maisy K.

Yelp
Love this cafe. For their internet and their food and because it's a good place to sit. but please turn off the news for gods sakes

Yelp
From a student at Berkeley high, this is one of my favorite ever places to get lunch. Although it might not seem like much, it is a solid place to get a bagel with cream cheese. The people working are delightful and quick, which makes it a nice and fast break from the craziness of school. We all appreciate K's so much, and it's made high school better for all of us !

Yelp
I've been at BCC for three years and I fully support this business. This is not a bougie cafe with fancy brews and drinks, but it's a great quick stop when you're fiending for coffee. Take some time to get to know the folks behind the counter- they're actually quite friendly and they always remember me. They may come off as stressed during rush hours, but only because it's a small business and there are so few workers. I've personally worked in fast-paced food service so I know the pain of lunch time rush. All in all, this place makes a decent latte with incredible haste. Food might take a little longer if it's busy. Homeboys behind the counter will treat you however you treat them. My 3hr classes offer 10 minute breaks, and that's just enough time to rush down from the 4th floor of BCC and grab a banana bread and iced coffee.
google avatar

A A.

Yelp
These guys are great! I currently am in the Cafe, and I've been here for almost 4 hours studying and doing lots of homework as I am a student at BCC. They are super accommodating and super kind! They're food is alright, for sure not a 5 star gourmet restaurant, it's a cafe, and they have cafe food! But delicious!

Yelp
K's Internet cafe is positioned right next to Berkeley City College on Center street. The cafe is always busy and bustling with customers throughout the day. I've had my share of drinks here: white chocolate mocha, chai tea latte, and mocha as well as the raspberry pomegranate tea. The coffee has been decent.. Not worth the prices here though, it seems that the menu items are way overpriced. I see students in here working all the time, I skip bringing my computer and just work in my schools library. Disappointment: They microwave the "breakfast burritos" and they taste like fast food. For around $4 that's not cool. I usually grab a pastry (pre-wrapped) or a cookie and tea if I'm desperate and keep it moving. The owners here are not necessarily friendly, they're straightforward and seem all about their paper. One star for location and they take charge cards.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
This is not the type of coffee shop where you want to linger or have a catch up with a friend. This is your straight forward, grab your coffee and pastry and leave as fast as you can. I usually come here in the mornings after getting off BART and it's ALWAYS crowded with people in a hurry. There are usually 2 or 3 guys working here and they are never in a good mood. They just want to give you your coffee and get you out of their shop so they can get back to chatting amongst themselves. But they get the job done and never get your order done. Black Coffee and a Muffin. 2/5

Yelp
K's Internet Cafe . . . the other adjunct office for adjunct instructors at Berkeley City College as well as a study hall for students. And they have free wi-fi for paying customers. I have been in here a few times for coffee, water, and/or chips. I have been treated to coffee chats with a couple of instructors here at K's Internet Cafe on separate occasions to chat about philosophies of life, the class subject and/or goings-on, and what films to see. Customer service is okay, I guess. They do not interact much with the customers. I wonder if it is a cultural thing or what. Who knows? Pretty cut and dry. I just give them my order and I pay for it. That is all. I once brought in an order for an English Department meeting. So many order forms. They not only made the sandwiches, they put the staff member's first name and initial on the wrapper. It certainly made it easy to distribute the sandwiches, that is for certain. Usually when I am here, I just get my order to stay in or take out. I would have my own computer or other electrical device if I stayed in to use their wi-fi. They do have computer stations for use, just buy a card to use the computers. I have run into other instructors or other students I actually like here at K's Internet Cafe. We usually have a quick chat to catch up before one or the other have to rush off to class. Lunch hours are usually crowded with Berkeley City College people or people from other nearby businesses. I do recommend K's Internet Cafe for a quick coffee to go before rushing off to a Berkeley City College class whether or not instructor or student. Thanks K's! Fresh Yelp Review #89 for 2013
google avatar

Devon W.

Yelp
I work three floors above K's and, for the convenience, often come here for my morning muffin fix. Their breakfast burritos (and I presume pastries, too) come from the Sonoma Muffin Factory, a kind of upscale breakfast/baked goods contractor who also sells their stuff at Andronico's, etc. Regrettably, of the many coffee/muffin shop options that I've tried within a six-block radius of downtown, K's breakfast options are the most forgettable and one of the most expensive. Admittedly, we're talking a difference of a buck-and-a-half at most between one muffin joint and another, but coupled with the fact that everything tastes very processed and mass-produced, it's worth it to walk another block to Nuha's or three to Sandwich Zone for something really great. The two guys who usually work in the morning alternate between "nice enough" and not really friendly/seemingly confused (or maybe they're just really tired, in which case they shouldn't work the morning shift at a coffee shop). It's usually fairly quick service, and it's obviously the perfect size/location to accommodate lines and tables of Berkeley City College students. Unfortunately, though, I have had to break myself of the habit of coming here, no matter how close it is to the office, given the number of times I've realized belatedly that I just paid around $8(!) for a mostly-flavorless potato-filled breakfast burrito and a muffin.
google avatar

Christophe K.

Yelp
That is the worth place ever. Brad is dry, old . I end up trashing my sandwich after the first bite. You wait for long time as the guy behind the counter speaks to his friend before serving you. They should stick to the internet cafe and just offer drink rather than trying to make food, Id be ashame to dare serving that food !
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
The staff are wonderful! Polite, fast and interested in helping people in line quickly. I had to come in for some light refreshments and coffee for a meeting that popped up first thing in the morning. The guys at K's handled it no problem. They made a large air-pot full of coffee for my meeting and put together a selection of pastries in a to-go box that the people at the meeting really enjoyed. All while still ensuring other customers in line were not kept waiting. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness in realizing people who stop in usually don't have much time and need quick service. I really enjoy their selection of bagels and pastries. They have some very tasty bars with oats, jams and chocolate. They just started selling yummy smoothies too. With reading other reviews, I wonder why there are so many 2 and 3 star ratings while the comments are positive. Acknowledge K's for what it is, a quick stop cafe where you can get a fresh made bagel breakfast sandwich and a coffee to go as you are running to class or work. They do a wonderful job at providing a huge variety of food and drink options (which isn't easy sometimes here in Berkeley) along with having WiFi, if you want to sit and stay a while, all on your path to work, school or home.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Yeah, you probably shouldn't be calling yourself an internet cafe when the internet runs slower than molasses and/or not at all when your cafe is only about half full.
google avatar

Kate Marie G.

Yelp
This just isn't my kind of place. The barista was unfriendly to the point of seeming resentful of my presence. The floor was dirty. A TV was blaring CNN. And reviewer Rachel D wrote below about the guy who sits in the corner and stares, which is a little unsettling. It was really loud with a lot of people the barista knew (employees? friends?) running in and out and calling to him over their shoulders while his phone rang. They did have a big selection of pastries and the coffee was ok. I'd come back to get coffee to go.
google avatar

Rosa O.

Yelp
They guy working the cash register got offended and answered rudely when I asked if their OJ was freshly squeezed or not.
google avatar

Bonnie C.

Yelp
I go to school next door, and come here every morning. I don't know why everyone says that the service is poor and the people are rude: they are not. And it is not a dirty place. This is not a bougie coffee shop with track lighting and free iTunes cards, dudes. This is a coffee shop in a downtown area frequented by working class people, broke students, homeless folks, and all other kinds of people. The staff are not unfriendly. They ask about my daughter, my health, and my studies. But then again, I go there every day and treat them with respect and thank them in Arabic. I find this place comfortable, warm, and quiet when I need to study or center myself in the mornings. There is a tv and the sound is off. The coffee isn't made with whatever hipster gourmet slow drip single cup whatever that you can get on 4th street (which is totally great, really)...it is just coffee. And it's fine. I like it, it's affordable, and it's comfortable. I felt the need to post this review because this is a great coffee shop to study in, to read in, and to frequent.
google avatar

J H.

Yelp
Ordered a sandwich. Not many people inside. No line. You fill out a little order sheet and you hand it to them. The cashier person mentioned that they didnt have lettuce, I was so hungry I said it was fine. Now that I think of it I don't know if the guy washed his hands... eek. Anyway, I got my seven Dollar sandwich to go and was on my way. I was so hungry that took a bite at a red light. The bread (sourdough sliced) tasted old and was falling apart. I love sourdough and I know what fresh/old taste like. I also noticed that they had placed both mayo and mustard on one side. I couldn't get myself to take another bite. I give two stars bc the customer service was neither friendly nor rude, ex. "what do you want? Okay. $. Thanks". But the turkey sandwich on sourdough was the worst. Maybe i went on a bad day but given all the other places around, I won't risk going back.

Ruiqiu K.

Yelp
For its location next to Berkeley City College, I was surpised the place was not busy in the evenings. I was in this place a handful of random evenings a few months ago, and each time, there were fewer than 4 people at any given time. Maybe it's busier in the daytime. There are enough chairs to accommodate a few dozen people, but there are spots where the tables are too crowded. The pastries are decent, but they are pricey. I did feel uncomfortable when I realized that someone in the far corner near the counter who just sits and stares at people. I had no idea if he worked there or was a regular patron. Cafes are for people watching -- if you had outside tables or can do it discreetly. If there were more people around, I wouldn't have cared. But because I was but part of a few people in at the time, the attention was too much.
google avatar

Janae L.

Yelp
Customer service could def use some work. Not rude, just not friendly... It's odd. Cute clean quiet cafe right next door to bcc financial aid office- I stopped in to grab a Greek salad- it was yummy although they forgot to put my olives on it. $3.95 for it. They have quick bite pastries, coffees, tea, calzones, sandwiches, pasta salad ect. Has potential just needs some friendly touch and faces!
google avatar

Yelp
I like that I don't have to walk too far. It's nice clean and safe spot to get a cup of coffee right before class and reasonably priced.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I eat lunch here almost every single day, and sometimes stop in for breakfast. The prices are delightfully low, especially considering the amount of food you get for it. A classic--the cheese bagel with cream cheese-- is a great example. They don't skimp on giving you cream cheese. They have a delicious assortment of muffins and breads, as well as serving lots of different kinds of coffee, both hot and iced. It's not a fancy cafe, but is better than any fancy cafe I've ever been to. The people who work there are always in a good mood and are super helpful. Highly recommend stopping by!!!! Service: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Everything: 10/10 I LOVE K'S!!

Kyra T.

Yelp
K's is truly my home away from home. From the kind smiles of the K's men to the delectable AND affordable cheese bagels with cream cheese to the clean bathroom to the cozy ambiance, you simply can't beat K's Internet Cafe. A short block away from Berkeley High School, this establishment has been making students happy for many years, and hopefully will continue to do so for many more. One day, I decided to go out of my comfort zone (cheese bagel with cream cheese) and try one of the chicken calzones. I didn't have high expectations, but I was floored. It's served with an outstanding hot sauce. I would definitely recommend this dish. Another favorite of mine is the pecan bars, which are sublime. Lastly, the chai latte and the Thai iced tea are my favorite beverages. The men of K's are basically saints. Their service is faster than lightning and their smiles warm even the coldest of hearts. Thank you K's for gracing us with your presence! We love you. ---Your biggest fans

Yelp
I always go there cause I study in Berkeley city college. I order a cup of Mocha every time...though there's no whipped cream on top, I still enjoy it. It's just 3.25 for a small mocha, what a good deal!! Wifi is provided and I like spending my time there during a lesson break
google avatar

Lloyd M.

Yelp
The food is really poor quality. I ordered a breakfast burrito, the guy put a cheap microwave burrito in the microwave and have it to me at like 300 degree. It is basically 7-11 food disguised as a cafe. If you are starving and nothing else is open and you will eat anything, then this place is a viable option

Mia J.

Yelp
Every Berkeley High student's life would be 100% worse if this cafe didn't exist. All of the employees are so nice! They make wonderful classic bagels with no frills. They also have plenty of caffeinated drinks. It's a perfect place to go when in need of good and drink when in a rush. There is also lots of seating for students to sit when skipping class (bhs students) or in between classes (bcc students). One time I didn't have enough money so the men gave me a free bagel. Also they have fruit and gum. In conclusion this place is awesome. Ignore all the reviews less that 4 stars.
google avatar

Phil B.

Yelp
I come here occasionally before class. I've had a variety of their food and it's always yummy, especially their beef piroshki. Their espresso drinks are stronger than you'd get at peets or starbucks, and I think it's reasonably priced! Service is fast too.
google avatar

Patrick L.

Yelp
Coming out and going in to BCC, I never miss to stop by this little coffee house to admire the smile they always give me. It's understandable to have bad days, sometimes! I would go there every morning and noon to get either coffee or tea and I get the service I expect , which is "a decent service". Being an everyday customer, i always enjoyed their service... They have tasty and fresh bagels that I order every time I walk in. The atmosphere and ambiance is cozy, comfortable and especially with free Wi-Fi...what would you want more!!!????? Keep the GOOD WORK guys!

Yelp
Sipping on the strongest cup of latte I've had in a while, I'm sitting at K's this morning waiting for my next appointment. The ambiance is modest but clean and spacious with scenic oil paintings and mirrors on the walls and soothing Algerian music in the background. The menu features three types of breakfast burritos and two separate listings for coffee and sandwiches and salads. The morning foot traffic has been heavy since my arrival, and there are number of students from the local city college taking advantage of their free WiFi while waiting for their next class. My bagel with jelly ($1.99) is fresh and nicely toasted, and soy latte ($3.25) is very good and the most perfect wake up call I've had in a while. Service is very personable and responsive. I will definitely come back to check out their sandwiches. 3.5 stars.
