Great little Tea shop on the historic pearl street. I love this little place because you can tell the tea will be good. The staff is friendly and inviting. My cousin and I originally came here to keep warm from the winter cold. We were pleased to try milk tea her e it is definitely an experience. Definitely recommend this place to try some authentic tea!

I love/hate going into Ku Cha because I just want to try everything!! The selection ranges from genuine high quality Chinese tea of all types as well as flavored teas, herbal tea, fun and creative blends and everything in between. It is really great to have a vendor where I can trust I am getting the highest quality tea at a reasonable price.

I haven't done any research about where they source their ingredients from so I have no idea if this tea is really good for you or not, I stepped in while doing window shopping on Pearl Street and I tried some of their free samples which were tasty, the bags of tea were about 30 bucks each which felt like a high price to me. I would in general rather buy my own loose leaf ingredients and mix my own brew than to pay so much for someone to do it for me, but if you're a tea lover who has more money than time, this might be a place worth checking out. The samples were really good.

Make your own tea concoction here! Such a great idea for a gift. You can customize your own blend based on the medicinal properties of each kind of tea which is listed on the container. They have tons of pre-made blends, tea cakes, and tea drinking and making apparatuses. A true one-stop shop for everything tea!

Stopped by for a quick drink while shopping in Boulder. There's many types of loose tea sold throughout the store. However, there's a cafe in the back that makes fresh teas. They have everything in both hold and cold from White, Green, Black, Oolong, Puerh, Yerba Mate, Caffeine Free, etc. It was a hot day, so everyone opted for the cold teas. There's a nice, peaceful sitting area just outside the ordering counter. There's about 3 tatami mat tables, 3 sitting tables, and some barstools. There's a nice fountain and plenty of natural light. Drinks were ready within 5 minutes and tasted great. Definitely high quality tea is used. Nice place to have a tea and relax in the nice sitting area.

Came here for my birthday because the reviews are so great! I ordered a regular iced matcha, but received flavorless room temperature leaf water with no ice and lots of sediment at the bottom. Unfortunately I couldn’t drink it because the texture was so chunky it was basically chewy.

This was a cute tea shop with an overwhelming amount of different types of teas from all over the world available for purchase. They even had some free samples to try to the right side of the check-out register. I ended up trying their iced matcha latte with almond milk. It tasted pretty good, but I'd say $9.50 before tip for a grande sized latte was pretty steep. The seating area in the back was pretty nice, but got a little hot due to poor ventilation, so I'd recommend taking your drinks to-go during the summer!

Came here after reading great things about the tea collection here, however ended up regretting it. My friend spilled extremely hot tea on her hand and we asked for an ice cube which one of the server refused as it was "out of policy" to give ice. The restrooms were occupied and so we couldn't douse the burn in cold water. When we asked them was there anything they could do to help us, she shrugged and said it was out of policy to hand out an ice cube. Absolutely ridiculous! Handing out ice to treat someone's injury is totally different than handing out ice for drinks. She could see the red inflamed hand and still refused to help us. After insisting on getting something to put on the hand, she gave us a bit of burn cream on a tissue paper. No sorry, no compassion and zero empathy. Never coming back here.

The back room is a fun vibe and I like how they are open later. Unfortunately the boba was too hard and a strange texture in the center. The tea shop in the front is nice and has a nice variety of teas and products.

It smelled so good in here. They have every tea you can think of. I wanted so many! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I just couldn't decide which one to get. I really liked the smell of the Rooibos Firefly. But for $24.95 for a 5 Oz. Bag I just couldn't do it. This place is amazing.

This review is based upon the boba tea we had. We had the jasmine boba milk tea, boba was hard to chew and the tea was very bland. There's a seating area at the back of the store but it has bad ventilation and so hot in the summer.

I was here in February for a conference & I am so happy I found d this place. My obsession with tea runs deep & this place fit the bill. Literally everything from match to herbal to make your own blend. Teas for allergies, cough, & more. I loved that there is also a little explanation for each tea there. I loved that you can make your own blend but you don't have to wing it on your own. The owner was there to help guide you & there is a book to also help you figure out which tea flavors would go together & the benefits. Need some tea education? They can help with that too!! There is also the cutest "tea pets" to pick up so you never have to have a proper cup of tea on your own. There is even a tea kettle "tea pet," that you can actually steep a small amount of tea in. How freaking cool is that?!?!? Prices super reasonable. Smells are amazing. I limited my tea buying since I was traveling back to AZ but I will be ordering from here in the future. I picked up allergy tea, white grape tea, & hot cinnamon. All were amazing. I have recommended each of these to my colleagues. Definitely stop in. Try the tea of the day & pick yourself some tea to go. You will not regret it.

Beautiful tea house with so many loose tea options. The cafe was having some technical difficulties so we had limited options when we visited but the drink we settled on was good.

Had to check out this tea place My grandson wanted a cup of tea. Very clean and organized store. Lots of tea varieties and they even have 3 teas for free taste samples. They were excellent! We ordered our tea and sat in the back. Very nice dining space. Me really enjoyed our break from outside Highly recommend! People were so pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable.

I love visiting tea places in each day, and I came across this one on Yelp! It has a Store a Front, Caffè in The back and traditional Chinese sitting area all the way in the back! The stores and organize by the category of teas and they also have staff pit tees in a bundle, which I find that it is a better deal getting those! They do have samples of the tea that they make and all the workers here are super helpful and sweet! It's definitely a way to meditate and just unwind down during the day or start that morning!

I was quite disappointed in Ku Cha. I have passed by it numerous times when visiting Boulder. On this weekend morning, we decided to treat myself to a matcha so I stopped in to Ku Cha. There is a vast selection of tea in the front part of the shop and the back has a cute cafe with seating area. I got mine matcha to go but was disappointed in the lack of flavor especially for the pricey cost of the very small cup I received. If your shopping for general tea this might be a good location to seek out your tea but I wouldn't waste your money on get a drink at the cafe.

Very solid tea shop, I believe it's a chain, I came across to it in both Boulder and Denver. They have very unique blends and they can also blend the teas you would choose. I tried a flavorful fruity black tea (Spring in Paris), I loved it as a black tea connoisseur. My favorite black tea is Lady Grey, staff was quick to suggest along the fruity-flavorful lines. There are seats/tables in the back, not sure if they're serving in tea glasses, would be better if they did so. They gave me takeaway but I didn't ask for tea glass specifically. I'd love to come back and will be visiting their website to order tea!

Tbh I don't love the drinks made here. I find them to either be watered down or doused in milk, which somehow make them lacking in flavor. I may just not be getting the right thing though. I do love the large selection of teas to buy to bring home. And the area in the back has amazing natural light and comfortable options for different types of seating. Love coming here to study. Not sure if there is wifi but I use my phone hotspot if I need it.

They advertise that they sell boba, but I wouldn't say they're very used to making milk teas? If you do want a milk tea, maybe stick with just the original item. As in there is only that one boba milk tea item. The others listed under are just teas, not different kinds of milk teas. Also, don't actually know about their boba quality because, despite the sign put out outside, they didn't actually have any boba that day. Actually, they seemed to be out of a number of menu items at the time. Go all the way to the back of the store for the tea bar. Even further back is an absolutely gorgeous, quiet area (the actual "tea house") with a glass roof to drink tea, read, and hang out in. I would absolutely love to try hanging out here one day. They sell all sorts of loose and packaged teas, as well as tea sets and equipment. Very lovely store and an interesting addition tourist-wise. Very keeping with Boulder's health-conscious culture.

Incredibly bland and overpriced prepared tea. Can't speak to their loose tea. There's a cool room in the back with lots of light. Definitely won't go back here.

Dishonest, unfriendly customer service! I'm local in the Boulder area and have been a customer for a number of years. We purchased two teas (from the same region in China) to make a gift set. I mentioned we were making a set and requested an equal amount of each, only to check my receipt at home and see they double charged us for one. I called but was told they have a 2 ounce limit on one tea but not the other (this was not disclosed nor explained to us when we made the purchase). The response I received was cold and indifferent. The manager would not honor a return nor a refund on the extra amount we were charged. She basically told me to throw out the extra tea if I wanted to gift an equal amount of each tea. I couldn't believe her tone, not to mention risking losing a local customer given this was THEIR error! How do you package an incorrect amount (over what was requested), charge double and then claim "but you received what you paid for"! Yes, but your associate packaged and charged double what I asked for without my knowledge or consent. How is this my fault?? Mind you, the purchase included an additional 4 oz tea for personal use, totaling nearly $60. It's not like we were trying to nickel and dime, just wanted a fair and correct exchange of product. We will no longer shop at Ku Cha!

The Chai tea was very expensive so I expected to get an amazing cup of hot Chai on a cold day. The tea tasted like water. We asked to have them remake it. The second batch was just as bad. Sadly, the people making the tea here don't know what they are doing. This was almost $20 for two cups of tasteless tea that took over 20 minutes to make. I won't be returning here ever again!

I like this place! Come for the tea, stay for the amazing atmosphere and the tall ceilings. The breakfast and brunch look really great. However, we only had tea here which was just as good. They can get very busy. No reservations are required. Just walk in.

I loved visiting this tea shop on Pearl Street. It is so beautiful and has so many different varieties of tea. They also have a tea bar in the back. The tea bar offers a wide variety of teas from pu'erh and green tea to boba and oolong. We order boba tea because my daughter is obsessed right now. We got the vanilla, rooibos boba with almond milk. We waited less than 5 minutes and the drink was amazing. In the tea shop, I really loved the blend your own tea station and can't wait to come back and make my own customized tea. They have all kinds of herbs with different medicinal qualities. Overall, it was a beautiful shop and I can't wait to go back again.

If you love tea or want to see if you love tea, Ku Cha House of Tea is the spot to visit. The tea selection is humongous and legit. There are teas from all over the world: black, white, green, oolong, rooibos, fruit, herbal, etc. You can make your own blend too. The teas are well-described, but the staff is super knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have. You can always get a cup of brewed tea too if you are not ready to commit to a bag of loose leaf tea. I browsed around for a while before grabbing a pack of the kabuse sencha green tea and a tea infuser. It was cold winter day so it was super tempting to get a cup of hot brewed tea, but I decided to give their bubble tea a try instead. The drink was good, but the boba was mushy. Ku Cha is a tea shop not a boba shop so the mushy boba did not bother me too much. I would come back to stock up on loose leaf tea or to get a hot drink, but I will skip the boba next time.

This is a nice tea shop on pearl street and they make drinks and have a tea house in the back. I tried the desert rose herbal tea which would good i wish it was a tony bit sweeter. Everyone here is super nice and there's a great vibe here!

I'm not a huge tea fan but this place has me wanting to fly back to CO for more! Honestly the atmosphere kept me feeling the chillest vibes and was probably the main draw for me. I got the peach boba with oat milk. It was so mild and yummy with a hint of that citrusy peach. Please see the pics for the cutest tea room in the world! If you're on Pearl Street don't forget to stop by, hydrate, take your shoes off and stay a while.

My girls loved their boba teas here, made from just quality tea and real boba made with real tapioca. The little tea room/garden at the back is quite pleasant, too.

The Ku Cha House of Tea offers a large selection of tea from around the world. There is an amazing number of loose-leaf teas. They also have tea ware. they also have a made to order drink service including cold and hot teas, tea lattes, ... No matter which tea you like, you will find one you like over here.

The teas are not stored in airtight containers. The organic genmaicha I purchased had zero flavor at all, most likely because the tea is not stored properly. The Da Hong Pao and Ripe Puehr I bought are decent but would have better flavor if stored properly. Additionally one of the store clerks scoffed at me when I told her I needed to taste the tea to know its quality, after she insisted I could tell by smelling it. No tea master or aficionado worth their salt would say that, because it's patently false. I won't be returning.

If you love tea, this is the place for you! They offer a variety of options including customizing your own! Atmosphere: Serene, peaceful, and inviting is probably how I would describe this place. You walk in and there's an array of teas, kettles, tea cups, and other things. They also have a little tea house in the back where you can order tea to sit down and drink! The tea room has traditional Japanese style sit down spaces (where you take off your shoes and sit with no chair) and regular seating. I think one of my favorite parts was the customizable tea section where you can make your own tea tailored to what you want it to do for you. For example, each shelf of teas has something to do with digestion, or immunity, or women's health, or joint health. Price: 4/5 I can't speak for the actual dry loose leaves of tea because I didn't purchase any and of course they all differ. But I did purchase a hot tea to drink there. Their teas range from $4-$6. I had the desert rose herbal tea and it was $4 for a pretty big cup full. Drinks: 4/5 Their menu ranges from herbal teas, oolong teas, black teas, and you can get them hot or cold and even add boba! I wanted to try something different so I opted for an herbal tea as I liked that they offered something such as, being relaxing/calming or helping to boost memory. I personally am not a big fan of cinnamon and bitter teas. I like teas with subtle flavors that have an floral aroma. I had the desert rose which was wonderful. It was not overbearing, had a sweet subtle aroma, and was just perfect. I recommend this place!!

I honestly never knew that there were so many different varieties of tea available. That was my first impression when I entered this place. Throughout the entire length of the building different teas of style, origin and blend are elegantly displayed. Samples can also be found sometimes along the path through the different isles of tea as well as dishes with some of the tea splayed out for inspection and scenting. Not only do they have tea, but anything you can think of to make or drink your tea also in various styles and origins. Towards the back of the shop is a small teahouse where you can order nearly every kind of tea and then sit in their closed off backroom in Japanese style tables or at side bars along the wall. Open air style ceilings with skylights brightens up the room and various plants and trees spread throughout add to the atmosphere of a Japanese teahouse. The store is always kept clean and free of any debris and in the unfortunate chance that someone spills some tea or drops something the staff is very responsive in getting cleaned up and back in order. To that, I have always found the staff to be nice and polite and greeting everyone that comes through the door with a smile. As I am in no way an expert on tea or what the prices should be for exotic blends, I feel that the prices are fair for what things are, and have never felt opposed to paying any of the prices for something. Why did I only give this 3 stars instead of 4? That honestly came down to the tea and food portion of Ku Cha. I have had several different kinds of tea's that I was familiar with in the past and almost every one of them to me, have not been very good from here. Also for the way I have ordered my tea has been consistently delivered wrong and had to be remade. I'm not sure if I'm ordering it difficult or otherwise confusing, but compared to other places that I have ordered the same thing with no problems. Also, the mochi to me is very not good, and tastes like the kind you can buy in the super markets in the plastic wrap for a little cheaper. Other than the quality of the mochi and my ill experiences in the tea's I have ordered at the teahouse portion, this place is very good to buy team and shop around in a relaxing and quiet setting surrounded by the scents of teas.

I am a big fan of boba and when I see local that makes me want to get boba even more. I came across Ku Cha House of tea and was excited to try it since they're known for their tea and I have to say I was very disappointed because I got one of their speciality teas and it was like water and another tea which was the milk tea If I remember correctly and still was watery. Boba wasn't what I usually have for boba, it was hard! I was very disappointed and it was pricy so I expected good drinks.

Brewed my first pot of milk oolong and it is not worth the price at $120/lb. You are paying for about 50% worth of stems. Good quality Oolong should only have the leaves. Also I couldn't get more than 3 mediocre steepings. The customer service at this store was very helpful and let me have a cup of tea to sample before purchasing. It tasted decent but weak upon the first brew so I thought it would bloom more with more steeps.

I got a package of their Shanghai Dreams fruit tea for Christmas from a friend & I immediately became obsessed! One of my favorite teas now. Their website has a variety of unique teas so I had to order a few to try out - they threw in an extra sample for free, taking careful notice that I only ordered caffeine-free teas & gave me Toasted Almond (also caffeine-free). I enjoy their tea in a beautiful teacup also gifted by my friend. Thanks, Ku Cha!

My hubby loves tea and of course we had to check this place out. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable person who asked what they could help us with. Most of their teas have a sample sitting out so you can smell to your hearts content. We love Earl Grey and Chai teas, so he made recommendations based on those. There were so many varieties and the store was very well organized by tea type making it easy to compare all of the different varieties. There were also plenty of mugs, and tea accessories, so we walked out with a some loose leaf chai, and two chais from their cafe in the back. There is a beautiful space in the back where you can sit and enjoy your tea or take it to go if you like.

This place was so cute! They did a great job with social distancing and were only letting 7 people in at a time. My sister got a mango green iced tea that was delicious and I bought some loose leaf tea which wasn't too expensive.

Wow what a selection of teas! Stumbled upon this quaint tea house walking Pearl Street. It was very quiet inside and out back there was a patio and garden with pillows and blankets to sit and enjoy some tea. The staff were very friendly and helped me select a tea based on my preferences. I enjoyed a green blend and it was wonderful.

Awesome little store with soooo much to choose from! They have pretty much any kind of loose leaf tea you could ever want! They have smelling jars next to all the pre packaged teas so you can sniff on them. There is also a bulk section where you can fill tour own or mix-n-match. There is also a tea bar in the back where you can order by the glass or by the pot & share with friends! Great space in the back to sit & enjoy your tea. We bought a 3 oz. bag of lady gray for $15. The gentleman in the store was really nice, helpful & knowledgable about a lot of different teas. Peace, love and tea!

If you're looking to buy tea in boulder, this is the place to go. They have a wide variety from black, oolong, green and even puerh tea. The variety within each category is huge. They put a little sample in a jar of each type for you to get the aroma so you can figure out what you like. Most teas are also brewed at the bar in the back. I was able to try a couple different types before committing to purchasing a package. They even have tea pastries for purchase if you get a little hungry. There's a calming tea room in the back, but don't think about just posting up for the WiFi, because there is none. Overall a good experience and an impressive tea shop. Though if you're looking for something like Dushanbe, this place isn't it, but it has its own strengths that should not be overlooked.

Came across this when I was looking for places in boulder (On pearl street) where I can get bobba. I am new to the town as I visiting and had to go by review so decided to stop by. The inside looks pretty fancy and they seemed to have all sorts of assorted varieties of tea(loose and packaged) to you could buy. Honestly, this place has a wide variety of teas I've ever seen in any other tea house. Looks promising if you are a tea lover and want to experiment or know what exactly you are looking for. The station where you could order drinks it located all the way at the back. The lady seemed to be nice and asked me what I was looking for and handed a menu when I presented my interest to her. I ordered iced green tea(Almond Milk) with boba. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the taste of it. I tasted very diluted almost like water and the only hung I liked is boba in it. I don't know if my choice wasn't right but it didn't work for me.

Tea shop in the back is awesome! Loved the garden and enjoyed my milk tea boba with honey in the relaxing setting! The boba was perfect, honestly - not too hard, not mushy. And the tea was perfectly sweet :)

We recently visited this location while on vacation in Boulder. Ordered a chai iced tea. Boy did it make me sick. I was running to the bathroom every 30 minutes for several hours after drinking it. Otherwise, it tasted good.

The entire staff was very friendly. They do enforce social distancing and limit the # of people in the shop at any time. It's a large shop with a tea bar in the middle. You place your order there and then wait outside immediately out the front door (to help them keep the # people in the shop low.) It took less than 3 minutes for us to get our drinks. The rooibos milk tea with boba was delicious! Pro tip: get it with honey not simple syrup, as I was advised by the very helpful staff member whose name I did not get! The boba was tasty and fresh. The shop appears to have a cute little tea garden with some tables & chairs in the back, but it's currently closed. Really really enjoyed this place.

I've been to Pear St so many times and just never noticed this place. It wasn't until I did a search for loose leaf tea that I made it a point to come here. What I really like it the wide array of teas they have. You can smell each one and it really helps with the process. We ended up getting a few different bags of tea and definitely will come back to try some different ones when we run out. Additionally, we had boba tea and hung out in the back area, which is surprisingly calm, quiet and secluded. It's a really peaceful area to just enjoy a tea.

This was my first time on Pearl Street and it was FREEZING. My family and I stopped in to get something hot to drink, especially since we were all getting over a nasty cold. This combination tea shop and sit down area was really nice, warm, welcoming and a great spot to wait out the cold. I got some kind of peach tea which needed to be sweetened more but was still really good. I was really impressed by the greenhouse sitting area which had plants and felt like a great spot for an intimate meeting even if it was really open.

huge variety of teas available, it's Boulder so you already know it's pricey. all 4 chai drinks we ordered were watery mixtures with little flavor. terribly disappointed

Ku Cha tea is a neat spot. I've been to a similar place in Colorado Springs and happen to come across this tea house in search for something like it. It's a nice place to either have a sit with friends over some pots of loose leaf tea, experience different tea ceremonies or grab some tasty drinks on the go. The staff I've encountered are well informed on what is available and description of taste which is helpful with wanting to try new things.The sweet treats they offer pair so well with the tea which was pretty cool. Also a nice selection of tea ware, loose leaf tea, strainers and the like, available for sale in the shop.It's always a pleasant time well spent at Ku Cha Tea :)

Tea Tavern Ku Cha House was one of the first stores that I walked into during my first trip to downtown Boulder. I'm a HUGE tea fan so I wasn't going to stroll pass without taking a look inside. The place has a dim and zen feel to it. From the tea selections to the tea accessories set out for your gazing pleasure, everything whispers serene melodies as you make your way from section to section. Aside from the merchandise, you'll encounter some other amazing components here at Ku Cha House. First you'll notice the register area where you can pay for any items that caught your eye. You'll also realize that you can grab a cup of tea or even a tasty unique treat to indulge in immediately. Lovely! I'm always looking for recommendations and didn't pass up the iced chai beverage that an employee said was quite popular. In addition to my cold brew, I grabbed some cookies to go with it. Both were okay but there's so much more to try that I didn't really mind. What I loved the most was the back area where they set up a cute 'traditional' Chinese tearoom where you can sit, sip, and socialize in a tranquil setting. What a nice touch. If I were a student @ the university, then this would have been one of my spots to relax! The restrooms (particularly the women's facility) was well presented and clean. I can't wait to go back to try a different cup of hot or cold tea and score some pouches of great blends to steep at home.

the milk tea boba was literally SO watery!!! and the boba was falling apart...NOT in a good way! IDK about the tea here but save yourself $5 and don't get the boba!!
