Found this spot on Yelp and decided to try it. It kind of reminded me of this place I go to in Seattle. I loved seeing you can get a bento box with salmon sashimi, rice, California roll, salad, gyoza, and miso soup for just $12!!! That’s bizarre!!! The food was amazing. It was super fresh the sushi. I loved that Chef made me a spicy garlic ponzu upon request. The sesame salad was nice and light. The whole box is so filling. For all the food you’re getting it’s priced perfect. It doesn’t really feel like they’re up-selling you. Everything was great. The whole restaurant is clean and tidy. My boyfriend said he loved his food. I just can’t believe we found this place just now. I’ve been shopping at Kusina Ni Lorraine for years and never saw this place. I pray that the location won’t be the downfall of this place. Because it’s not somewhere people instantly see, it might not get as much traffic. I’ll make sure to come two to three times a month. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

It’s a small clean place. I ordered the thin katsu bento. The sushi and pot sticker was fresh and tasty. The katsu was crispy and taste very good. Overall I had a great experience.

Been going here for a while now and they never disappoint. They just recently added even more to the menu. But as always I keep getting the eel bento box. Hot miso, cool edamame, fatty eel, and acidic dressing. The balance is perfect.

Great place to eat in at, always feels cozy, and the portions are amazing! Drinks are a little pricy by themselves but are better gotten with your meal.

Ordered for pick up but changed my mind last-minute to dine-in because I wanted to check out dessert options nearby. Staff were accommodating and let me dine in 🥰 Food was fresh, the roll was very good, and miso soup was tasty as well. The only thing I would have liked is 1-2 more pieces of salmon. The proportions were off. But it's the economy these days, am I right? 😂 Overall: 4.75/5

Amazing food. Beautiful atmosphere. Welcoming staff. I came here for the first time last week and they walked me thru the menu and helped me pick my meal (first time trying eal!) I got the Dragon bento box that came with an amazing salad and fresh meso soup. I have returned again this week and I'm super excited for my next meal. 10/10!

Recently found out that this restaurant is nearby my place so tried out, then it turns out really good. Ordered bento style, which was thin katsu and beef&onion (gyu-don), and its portion was pretty satisfying and taste was good too. It comes with soup & salad. Katsu was a little hard to chew and thinner than I thought but wasn't so bad. Hope they can improve this in the future. Overall I was satisfied and will try more menus here for sure. Recommended.

I'm not usually on this side of town but everything I am I eat here for lunch. The bentonite boxes are usually what I get and they're pretty big. The staff are always friendly and helpful, they really make you feel welcomed. As for the ambiance they're always playing relaxing music and everything is spotless clean.

Great place for a quick sushi pick up that isn't one of those weird "I felt like I just picked up grocery store sushi" places that are nasty and also feel like a ghost kitchen when you pick up. This place sort of has those ghost kitchen vibes but! You're definitely not getting grocery store sushi. The fish every time I've been has been really fresh, and their rice paper rolls are done pretty well (also I rarely see rice paper as an option). Service is as good as pick up spots can get. I've ordered there and it's taken about 15 mins, but I usually order ahead on toast to pick up, and have had no issues. My go to are the Kuben no.2 (rice paper roll and actually has a nice subtle spice) and 50%50%.

If you want quick Japanese bento box, this is the place to go. It's a little hidden but it's definitely a gem. My family and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. We got the salmon teriyaki, beef teriyaki and chicken teriyaki which were all really good! It was a great portion size and was perfect for us. The menu is small but it still really good! I will defiantly come back again with my family!

Fortunately, this place is closed, but it's going to reopen with another Sushi place on July 1

Food quality was excellent. Great value for a full meal with soup & salad. Customer service very humble. Clean restaurant! Eat there or take out. Must try. We live nearby and will be frequent guests. Thank you!

I always like to try new places and this time I went to Kuben. Really nice little place, good fresh food (so important for me if I am eating fish) and options for everyone. We will be back.

In the mood for a sushi burrito and something near where I was doing some errands, I yelped Kuben and it had good reviews. The place is clean, menu selection looked good, pricing comparable to other places. I did not see an option to build your own and did not ask, in my curiosity to continue reading their menu and looking at their food pictures I neglected to ask for soy paper instead of the seaweed and that somewhat ruined my experience, other than that the looks and the flavors of the burrito were good. What could have made my experience better friendlier warmer and more helpful staff-owners that is the reason for my rating.

I've been here twice, once during lunch and once during dinner and both times were yummy and consistent. You order at the counter and there are a few seating area if youd like to dine-in. They are pretty popular during the lunch rush. I got the raider sushi burrito which has shrimp tempura, salmon, avocado, eel, and crab meat. The miso soup has tofu and seaweed bits which I enjoy.

Looking for a quick Japanese takeout? Kuben is worth checking out. My order was chicken katsu, pork tokatsu, and tiger roll. Everything came out to $56+. Although pricey, you get alot of food in your meal. Bentos come with soup and salad and edemame, gyoza, and California roll as sides. They also have bowls, speical rolls, and sushi burritos. What you see in the menu is what you get! I called in my order and ready in 15 minutes. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. I think there were only 2 people working and the handling my order which I appreciate. The food was better quality than some of these AYCE restaurants nearby.

Very cute mom and pop shop. Amazing food with great service! The prices are reasonable/cheap and the food quality is amazing! I liked all the different components in the bento and it filled me up. The space is small but it doesn't get very busy so there's plenty of seating when dining in.

This place is so good I work around the area and I can't wait for lunchtime just so I can come here. The staff are really nice and make me feel welcomed every time I've come back. I've had the bento boxes (the salmon teriyaki is my favorite) and the new kimbap rolls which are amazing! Perfect place for a great healthy rounded lunch. They have bowl options and sushi as well! If you're seeking an adorable spot with sushi, curry, and bento, this is it. They have delicious options, including bowls and burritos. There were many choices but for a first try, I had to sample the new curry bowl, tempura, a roll, and sashimi. Everything was delicious and well prepared. The prices aren't for everyone. After tip, 2 bowls, a roll, and tempura came out to about $65. That being said, here's how it went. Katsu curry isn't the thick brown curry but more soup texture but flavorful. The katsu is crispy and very juicy. In the end I used a spoon to finish off the bowl. Sashimi bowl was delicious and had a nice mango pico on top with a micro green mix on top of rice. It was flavorful but I could honestly go for more sashimi than 5 slices. That's just me. Tempura is ebi furai and very yummy. Small but good. The kuben #1 roll is tasty and a no rice roll in soy paper. The sauces are delicious! You can't go wrong with crab and ebi. Overall nice little stop with yummy food.

This has been our new go to spot for a quick and delicious meal! Their bento has an awesome variety of sushi, gyoza, edamame, miso soup, salad, and the main entree. I have been loving the salmon sashimi and my husband loves their teriyaki salmon. He says it's always cooked to perfection. Every part of the bento is so delicious, you can taste the love they put into the food. They are always really nice and very grateful for our business. My husband loves picking up our orders from there. Can't say enough nice things about this place, it really is 5 stars all around.

It's a quaint little place. The food is good & hot. I had the Thin Thin Katsu meal and it was made fresh, the pork was good, not over cooked. I ordered the ginger dressing on the salad. My less then 5 stars comes from the restroom. They needed a good scrubbing, including the door & the light switches. It's hard to feel that a kitchen is clean if that bathrooms aren't kept clean. Considering we as customers can see the restrooms, how is a area kept when we can't see it? But the staff is nice & this was my 2nd time eating there. I will go back.

This is a hidden gem. the sushi and everything else is excellent. Most places in Las Vegas put way too much mayo in their California roll and other rolls. Here it is perfect and delicious. I have been here around 7 or 8 times and will continue to bring the kiddos here. They love it too.

I've been hearing many good things about this local restaurant so finally today I decided to stop by on a Friday evening, I'm glad I did. I ordered their chirashi bowl since I wanted something light, the fish is super fresh, I think I like the white tuna the most, and I also love their tamago, it's not overly sweet but still got a great flavor to it. They keep the restaurant nice and clean and the service was also great, the owner and the staff were both super friendly, I definitely recommend this small local restaurant, the cherry on top is that they are very reasonably priced. I will for sure come back to try their other items.

This place is a hole in a wall, mom and pops shop who offers a great selection of Japanese bento boxes, sashimi and sushi! I've dined in and ordered to go from this place a few times! And each time I've been, their food and service has been exceptional! Their location is a little bit hard to find though-- it's hidden in this tiny plaza in Fort Apache. Their bento boxes here are really good! Not only that their super delish and portioned right, they are also well priced for what you get! Their bento boxes come with 4 pcs of California roll, 2 pcs gyoza, edamame, rice, miso soup and salad! You'll for sure be stuffed for days! I've also tried a few of their sushi rolls but my ultimate all time fav is their mountain roll! It's baked sushi that has crab and cream cheese inside and salmon on top. It reminds me of this sushi roll that I always get in SF that I can never find here! It's soooo good that I can finish a whole roll to myself! Lol. I really recommend for everyone to try this place at least once, they won't disappoint! Plus they're a family owned business, doesn't hurt to support a local business in town!

This is our solid go to dinner take out place. Their bentos are solid and decent amount of food for the price. The bentos come with two fried gyoza, edamame, 4 Cali rolls, and the entree you pick. Their beef/onion, chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, and garlic Mayo chicken are our favorites. We also get miso soup and salad (avocado dressing is tasty!) My kids approve every time. One thing is their curry is watery like SE Asian style, but tastes like Japanese curry. Taste is good, but I prefer the thicker curry. However, it's a fulfills my curry craving. We usually call in the order. It usually takes about 20 minutes to get the food. The people there are always so friendly. One thing I love is they take your credit card with two hands. So respectful and professional! We will definitely continue to get food here!

Sometimes you just need food delivered even when you know you're going to pay an arm and a leg in service fees and such. But, you're always in a much better mood when the food itself was worth the trouble. Kuben is an example of exactly that. Do I wish I had my $20 in extra fees and tip back? Of course, but the money I paid for food was worth it. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento, a spam musubi, a Kiss Me roll, and after reading reviews, just had to try the baked Mountain Roll. Great job to my Grubhub driver for getting it all to me on time and great job packing it up Kuben! First up, Bento. This actually got my lowest star ratings for what I received. The amount was definitely a nice surprise but the flavors and textures were not the greatest. The miso soup was delicious and still hot upon delivery. That tasted great on a cold day. The edamame was fine. Not overly salted or flavored and not overly cooked and soggy. The gyoza were pretty standard: crispy and flavorful. No complaints there. The four piece CA roll was also pretty spot on. The little salad was unfortunate though; fully packed with bitter cabbage pieces that an apple dressing could not salvage. And last but not least, it was the chicken and rice portion of my bento that I was disappointed in. The chicken texture itself reminded me of the prepackaged Hormel sliced chicken you can buy and place in salads or cook on the stovetop. It was a little too rubbery. It's redeeming quality was they doused it in sauce so it masked it a little. However, silver lining. For some reason, my picky son loved it! He ate it all for dinner when I took it home and asked for more. So while it wasn't my favorite teriyaki chicken, it did not go to waste and someone enjoyed it. The spam musubi was mediocre. It does look rather sad in the picture but all the general flavors were there, just nothing exciting to write about. But now let's talk about these rolls. They were the highlight of my meal. The Kiss Me roll was shrimp tempura, crab, and cucumber on the inside and tuna, avocado, and ponzu sauce on the outside. Reminded me of a caterpillar roll with fresh flavors. It was delicious! And then don't even get me started on that Mountain Roll. After reading reviews I knew I had to try it. A baked roll, it had crab, avocado and cream cheese inside, and on the outside salmon! This baked goodness melts in your mouth (just make sure not to burn the roof of your mouth)! This was a lot of food. Please keep in mind this covered me for lunch for two days, and my son ate the teriyaki chicken and rice for dinner. All in all, I enjoyed it. Could some parts have been better? Sure. Was I surprised with the quality for delivery sushi? Happily surprised.

When in town this place is a go to! They are tucked in the back so a bit tricky to find but worth it. Fresh, well prepared sushi!!

My boyfriend and I love getting take out here! We've tried their poke bowl (super fresh fish and super good flavors); their spicy sauce is really spicy though so make sure to get a drink or have water nearby lol. I like the salmon teriyaki bowl as well as their beef and onion bowl or even the bento box since it comes with a salad/soup, gyoza, edamame and a miso soup! Depending on how hungry you are, the bowl is perfect amount but the bento box you have more variety!

Very tasty and good size portion I had the garlic mayo chicken bento box, it included a 4pc California roll, gyoza, edemame, white rice and I chose the salad and soup option. I could have had a soda instead of the soup and salad but I was hungry and to me you need soup and salad with a bento box. I'll definitely be back. It's tucked away so you can't see this place from the street but it's worth looking for

Kuben is my go to place for takeout or quick and easy eat in for bento boxes, chirashi bowls, or sushi. Due to covid19, you can only do carry out or delivery through the food delivery apps. I like it best when it's the freshest so i always order takeout. Very friendly service. Food is delicious. Great bento box combos, i mean, who needs weekday lunch specials when you can get great food for dinner! The 5 piece sushi bento was delicious. The rolls are great and soup and salads too.

This place is good, however, overpriced. I understand inflation, but 5$ for a side of Gyoza that only has 3 pieces?? That's a lot. 5 stars for food 3 stars for price and portion.

I used to pick up food from here all the time when I worked in the same shopping center. It was quick, healthy, convenient, consistent, and delicious. I haven't been back in probably 2-3 years. Today was my first time back in quite a while, and I'm mad at myself for waiting this long! Since Covid hit, I have been disappointed in 99% of my dining experiences. Prices have skyrocketed, quality has plummeted, and I've lost all hope in going out to eat a good meal. While pricey, my meal with Kuben today was one of the best I've had in a while. So so so happy that their quality has not dropped. It's almost better than I remember! Super clean, food was ready to go when I arrived, and workers were so kind. 10/10, highly recommend!!

I ordered Kuben off of Uber Eats because it kept popping up and I thought the pics looked pretty good. It is the age of being lazy and a lot of people are using these delivery apps so I know it's important to let you guys know if places do well or not when it comes to take out. I ordered the salmon bento which comes with salmon, rice, California rolls, 2pcs of Gyoza, edamame, 4pc California roll, a house salad and miso soup. Great price for the value even when ordering and paying all those sneaky fees they throw in (I caught it when there was free delivery so it was even better). I enjoyed the salmon and the sauce they put on it was delicious. I kind of wish my rice had been separate rather than the salmon being on top because it was soaked in the sauce but, not a huge deal. The Gyoza was good as well and the California roll was your basic cali roll. The edamame was pretty plain and could've used more salt or something to give it extra flavor and the miso soup was also very bland which was disappointing because miso is normally one of my favorite parts. The house salad while basic was still good because of the avocado dressing. I don't normally enjoy the dressings from Asian restaurants but they gave me a choice between 2 and I actually did like this one. Overall it's worth giving a try. I would try it again so I could hopefully get the experience I see other people raving about.

Nice bento place. We tried the salmon sashimi bento boxes with miso soup and salad with sesame dressing to go. The lunch specials looks like a good try for next time and there's cold tea and soda. The menu has been updated, so a couple of old menu items are no longer available, but there might be new items coming soon.

Very disappointing - Tonkatsu was completely burnt and leathery. Subpar gyoza, California rolls. Refused to give me a glass of water - would only sell me bottled water

The reviews for this place were good and my wife and I are always up for Japanese food. The bento boxes and bowls looked solid online. My wife god the steak and onion box which came w edamame, 2 beef gyoza, a 4 piece roll, and miso soup. It was good. Meat was a little fatty but cooked well. That brings the rating up. The chicken katsu curry bowl was disappointing. The chicken was cooked well but the curry was poor. It was as if a package mix was added to water and the package was only half full. The bowl was soupy versus traditional gravy-like and had very light curry flavor. It was closer to water than even a curry ramen. Likely will not return w better choices. Sorry.

It's a very small restaurant, I think people probably order to go more than stay and eat. Got 2 bento box(they change the box to just plain one, not like when they first open). Beef and onion taste like yoshinoya(famous for their beef bowl) I love that restaurant but only in Cali.. anywho, it comes with miso, salad( I like the sesame dressing) rolls and gyoza.. everything was tasty!! Chicken Teriyaki was just Ok, kinda dry.. didn't really like this one and the creamy dressing. I'm glad I finally try this out and I don't think I would be coming back.. it's kinda try once and move on to the next restaurant for me.. Too bad there was nothing wow enough for me to try again..

Delicious! Fresh sushi, rolls were generous, and not full of rice. Greeted by friendly, helpful people that helped me decide what to have. Love that it's a cute little hole in the wall that didn't blast the music at full volume. Just my speed. I'll be back!

I've been a patron to this restaurant for over 2 years now and I can say nothing but great things! The customer service is kind, the ingredients to their food are always fresh, and they are always consistent. The restaurant itself is on the tiny side but it's still spacious enough to have a group dineand always kept clean. My go-to order is the Chirashi Bowl and I highly suggest it if you're looking for an assortment of fish!

They have never failed me their sushi is good. I recommend the Bento box because it gives you multiple different sides along with your choice of a Main.
