This place was great, randomly stumbled across it while driving around. Bartender was fantastic, and clientele were very accepting of a “foreigner”. Reasonable prices, strong drinks, and can smoke inside. Do not recommend if you hate tobacco smoke, bar is very Smokey. Otherwise a great spot, awesome beer and awesome music. Highly recommend.

Great place to grab a drink if you enjoy a dark atmosphere. They have video games like Mario kart that you can play with friends too which is fun. There are plenty of horror themes as well if you're into that 😘🖤

Is there a front door? Never would have known this place were here if I had found parking on Main Street. Fun little hole in the wall bar Had the Space Odyssey, wasn’t a huge fan of it not going to lie. The Milk Plus (think White Russian) was pretty good. Intimate space, couple seats in back along with some old school gaming systems. I did enjoy the vibe, very dark and moody

Fantastic bar! The bartenders care about what they’re making. They are really good at getting you something different. We just ask them for a shot or whatever kind of drink you like. The place is really small and the other customers(at least the few times that I’ve been) have been nice. They also have a N64 and a Wii(I think) to play. I think they have tournaments for Mario Cart too sometimes. They are definitely worth spending a little bit of time there.

My wife and I came here for the annual Harry Potter themed Yule Ball. We had a good time. The bar staff was good, the drinks were cheap, the crowd was fun, and we made some new friends. Our big problem with it is that they still allow smoking, so we both got headaches and our clothes reek.

What an absolutely divine bar. My husband, brother-in-law, and myself popped in here for a couple of late night cocktails while walking around St. Charles. Kubrick’s was extremely welcoming, wonderfully decorated, and they even had fun drinks of the month. I have a deep appreciation for the aesthetic of this spot, and the bartender was extremely friendly. Please do keep in mind that if you do not like cigarette smoke, this place may not be for you, as smoking is allowed inside. We will definitely be back when we are in Missouri again next year, visiting my in-laws for the holiday!

Last time I was here the bartender Chad was very rude and unwelcoming. Definitely made me feel like I shouldn't even be there.

This place is SO WHIMSICAL!!!!! What a find!!! Delayed post as I'm having a conversation about A Clockwork Orange & remembered stumbling upon Kubrick's on a random, lovely evening in St. Charles! Unfamiliar with the area, I didn't know that this should be our destination, but a happy accident of leaving something in my car took us back to the parking lot and then to the back entry of this gem of an establishment!!!! Really great service, craft beer selection, and ART!!!! Murals everywhere & fun indoor / outdoor seating options upstairs. Sometimes I'm too bashful & / or lazy to play the photography game, but after much resisting my impulse to whip it out, I finally stood no chance when it came to the beautiful bathroom!!!! Murals along the way, framed spooky Shining twins painting AND fresh flowers. I mean come on. Just incredible. This place is so photogenic - please someone pick up my slack & snap more pics!!!

If I lived in St Charles, I think I'd be here all the time! Great vibes and prices. I miss a dive-y cinephile hangout. Their cocktail list with movie references is fun, and I suspect they could make you other kinds of drinks if none grab your fancy. It's truly a bar only, no food. I also liked the big parking lot.

This bar still allows smoking inside. We walked in and were immediately hit by a cloud of smoke. We were with a party of four and nobody wanted to stay because of that. So we left.

Love this one of a kind bar. Might seem small but has two stories with a bar on each one. All walks of life come here to enjoy the amazing vibes, video games and music. Don't even get me started with the horror films artwork all over this place. Not everyone knows of this spot in St.Charles area off Main Street cuz the way to get in or out of it is thru the back parking lot facing the river. Must check out if you never been.

Newish place off main street in St. Charles, entering from the back parking lot with a speakeasy type of vibe. Had a couple of standard cocktails that were good and reasonable price. Friendly waiters looked shnazzy with the vests. Theres an upstairs room that seems more like a relaxed lounge area for more conversation, but over all, a neat little find. The only downside is that smoking is allowed inside.

Drinks were ok, could use more variety. Pineapple and milk are not the answers to bartending. No food. Good ambience, nice free play arcade game upstairs and a nice small balcony with a few seats. Again, no food. Decor was cool if you're a Kubrick lover.

The drinks were pretty good and I love the unique vibe the bar provides with the cinema theming. All of you complaining about the bar allowing smoking, lol, it's a BAR in the midwest. Get over yourselves please.

When my boyfriend and I came here for the first time, it was a cool experience. Their cocktail list is unique and tasty. The ambiance is relaxing and I enjoyed the lighting! We had playing some Mario Kart whilst drinking our fairly priced cocktails. We will be back.

The bartender was smoking cigarettes and ignoring our orders but the vibes were alright.

The Thursday night bartender, Murphy, is horrible! Worst service I've had in years! Decent cocktails but definitely not worth dealing with that guy.

Dicky bartender. Cool place tho. Wish the bartenders weren't assholes. So i walked in about 15 minutes before they said they were supposed to close on apple maps and the women bartender tells me to "get the fuck out". Yea definitely wont be seeing me again.

Good place to hang out and enjoy a couple drinks of your choice. Good people. Casual environment. Smoker friendly. Excellent service.

Didnt plan on stopping in the other night but thankfully we did. Th bartender was great and everyone there was super friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

No stars b/c my thumb was hurt on their premises and they never took the thought to ask how they could make it better or apologize for their unstable atmosphere. I've been so many places and never felt cared for less. They even laughed about it... I work in customer service and I would NEVER minimize someone's concerns and experiences. Do not patronize this establishment, it's not worth it at all.

Been coming to this place as the regular spot for around a year... lots of good times, though sometimes crowded. Good, affordable drinks and they've always got that hotdog stand out there when I need it. Good music, especially If you like alternative or rap. Bless up to all the bartenders here... they're badass.

This is my favorite bar on Main Street! I absolutely hate Main these days but I'll suck it up and go anyway for a few hours at Kubrick's! Mark, Ryan, Lila, & Matt are all fun and welcoming! The decor is awesome! Very relaxed and chill atmosphere & damn these guys have some fun/playful attitudes! You all rock, Keep it up! Love you guys!!!

Smells like cat piss.. beer was warm... floor was sticky and the service was too damn slow which could explain the warm drinks

Great modern vibe and fairly priced drinks. I highly recommend trying the specialty drinks.

This bar is so fun. The art and decor is great. Drinks are great. Beer is cold. We stayed for trivia night; it was murder mystery trivia played via phone. The whole crowd was really into it. Very fun night!

I've never had a worse bar experience in my life. First time on main street and at this place and it was busy so we had just gotten one drink that we hadn't even finished and went to go inside to the restroom. My sister (with a broken finger already) hit her hand in the door upstairs within 20 min of getting there. I understand it was no one's fault, accidents happen but what followed what completely unexpected. She was in the bathroom feeling sick from the pain and I was trying to help her and the bar manger MARK rushes in and immediately interogates me, yelling "where was she before this?!?" when i responded at home with me and we'd just got there and tried explaining what happened to her she forced people to carry her into a back room as she was waking up from fainting from the pain and i said "give her a minute to breathe and get up" and he still forced her to be dragged into the back room. While back there my sister is throwing up because of them moving her so much after fainting and he starts throwing things and screaming in my face to "get the fuck out of his bar" literallly in my face. Then has security push us out while I'm still trying to make sure she's okay to stand. While outside after the security AND dj came to hug and apologize saying what he did was not okay and that he's "not normally like that" . I've been working in restaurants and bars for a while and NEVER even IF she had been drinking would we never react like that. Honestly most unprofessional bar manager I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Oh and while we were outside afterwards trying to figure out what even just happened people were throwing beer bottles from the balcony and not a single one was thrown out.

I had the pleasure of walking into this fine establishment. And was bemused by its charm. I've known about this "hole in the wall" bar for some time. I've read reviews about Mario Cart contestants and drink specials. Tonight did not disappoint. The moment I walked in the music was everything Anyone born in the early 90's would want to hear. The dance floor was packed. The bar clean. The bartenders cut. Armed with skinny ties and suspenders... they jump at the chance to make a drink. With a coy smile and an attitude which judges everyone who walks through the door. The kind of trendy nuance one would expect in New York or LA. Picture of the famed director and his films ornate the walls. And the drinks never stop. I never go out especially to Saint Charles. I prefer the Central West End. But who knew something some trendy and sweet could be found west of the river. I will definitely be back.

Very nice bar to relax at. Awesome video game systems and very nice atmosphere!! Have a many different types of drinks you can try.
