"The mismatched antique tables and chairs, the pretty decoration and the almost familial atmosphere lend this place a charming feel. The Swabian-style sour kidneys with sautéed potatoes have been on the menu here forever – a classic with its own loyal following. In addition, the menu includes contemporary dishes such as braised Ellscheid lemon chicken with Mediterranean vegetables. Most of the meat used by Florian Kucher and his team to create their seasonal regional fare comes from the Eifel area. Be sure to peruse the wine list – wine is a passion of senior chef Martin Kucher and he will be happy to advise you." - Michelin Inspector

The hotel is OK although I expected a larger room, more comfortable bed, and better bathroom for a double room priced 125€. No elevator but we were offered to be carried our luggages. Great breakfast buffet. To improve, I'd suggest to add hot egg dishes and fresh orange juice. We did not try the gourmet restaurant. We tried the regional restaurant twice, which we liked. I was particularly impressed by the wine list (one of the best Riesling I ever had) and wild game meat. We found the fish dish (sea bream) disgusting though. The owners struggle a little bit in English, but it is part of the charm, and the menu is translated. Our little daughter was greatly welcomed, including a box of toys so she could play during the dinner. Overall a great experience but don't go there with luxury expectations.

Lovely family run place, great restaurant as well as a more informal bistro with great food and even better wines. Only point of improvement would be to ask guests whether they want a room in the old or the modern building, I found the bedding in the old building not so great. Very clean though.

We came again to this family runned hotel for the cosy atmosphere and the excellent cuisine. Very warm welcome, super clean and cosy rooms, typical Germen decoration. Professional staff, super food and an impressive wine cellar with a choice for every one.

We stayed here for two nights during a trip around Europe to visit the Nurburgring here specifically - which was only a short drive away. It is off of the main road just enough to be away from the traffic. The owners were very welcoming and were happy to help with any requests however no information was available in English at all! There was a large buffet breakfast with plenty to choose from and we ate dinner here on one night - slightly pricey however! The chef came from England 20 years ago and he came out in the middle of service to translate the entire menu - big brownie points there! The room was lovely with some wonderful touches although no tea or coffee. The view was amazing from our balcony - all in all we couldn't fault it!

we stayed for 4 nights in Kucher's Landhotel and we had a very good stay|as our dog was with us we had to take the rooms in 'Stammhaus' which is the old part|of the hotel|the room was not big and decorated in 'typical' style of Germany with wood etc|the bathroom with bath is very small but you have all you need|it is a pity that people with dogs are 'obliged' to take the old rooms because the new|rooms are much more confortable|the breakfast as ok : enough choise of ham, fruit, youghourts|it is a pity that the eggs were already prepared (scrambled eggs) and you can make |a boiled egg|but in the past they made eggs on order |now they said we can not do it because there is nobody in the kitchen|it would be an improvement to make the eggs on order||the food (half board) was ok price /quality even worth the money you pay|also there is a very large choice of wines and not expensive |the last night we had dinner in the Michelin starred restaurant : very good|but in the same place as the half board restaurant||the sauna is new and very good ||from the hotel you can make nice walks into the 'Eifel'||it is a family run hotel and you feel this : everybody is very kind||we had an enjoyable time||Ludo and Christine||we recommend this hotel for food, walks, sauna and rooms

Kucher's has always surpassed our expectations. Dinner is creatively combining unique flavours, and especially the wine pairing is excellent. Kuchers knowledge of the nearby vineyards is second to none and opens new experiences of flavors. (Ask about an exclusive wine tasting tour along the Moselle! )||We love coming here, it's a hidden gem in a beautiful setting you won't regret checking out.

This charming character hotel is located in the small village of Darscheid. Location is very convenient (if you don't mind NOT being in a busy town center). Right next to the highway (but far enough not too hear it), in a quiet village, but a short driving time from a lot of tourist stuff (also because it is so close to the highway).||the general feeling in the hotel is "quiet"; we had a good night sleep!||||We liked our room. Size was OK (not that big though), it had character (our room was called the "romantic stube" and was very pink, cute!), a very big balcony, and a good and very clean bathroom.||||My husband was a really big fan of the breakfast as it was quite orginal and "special". Not just the standard breakfast you get every where (myself, I did miss some warm breakfast like eggs).||||We could bring our two little dogs (for an extra charge of course) which was our reason to pick this hotel.||||Only small (negative) remark: for a family run hotel, I had expected a bit warmer/friendlier welcome and goodbye. ||||Overall, would recommend (unless you are looking for a hotel with facilities (this hotel only has the restaurant) or a more busy place.
