I ordered food over the phone and went to pick it up since both my child and I were sick. The restaurant was crowded, so I paid and left quickly. When I got home, I realized the price I was charged didn’t match what was shown on the restaurant’s own website menu, and the miso soup that was supposed to be included with the hot stone bibimbap was completely missing.
According to the website, the hot stone bibimbap is listed as a Happy Hour menu item from 12 PM to 3 PM, discounted from £13.9 to £11.9. I placed my order at around 2:20 PM, and it was a Friday — which is a weekday — so the Happy Hour price should have applied. But I was charged the full price without any explanation.
Because my child and I were coughing and I had a headache, I couldn’t stand there checking details carefully at the counter. Only after I got home did I realize things didn’t match the menu. And honestly, it was really disappointing. If the price or menu composition is different for takeout or delivery, the staff should clearly inform customers when they order by phone. That’s basic service.
On any other day, I would have dined in and confirmed everything myself, but today I simply couldn’t. The food tasted good, but the lack of transparency and the missing items left a very bad impression. I expected better.
