Thin is place located right in front of port authority. The price is very reasonable consider to its Time Square. We ordered soup dumplings, spicy mapo tofu, and scallion pancake with beef and spicy beef hot pot. Everything we ordered was tasty and flavorful! Only wish if they make things more spicier 😏

Came here yesterday 12-30-22. Table of 10 for lunch. This restaurant was prepared and had the table set and ready to go! The food itself was quite tasty and everyone enjoyed it. We ordered a variety of items and our table just shared (except the soups 🙃) Our only issue was a female server who seemed to be helping our main server. Every time she was asked to do something she rolled her eyes. And when our main server asked her to put a duplicate items down to the other side of the table she literally just put it a foot away from the other one (and you guess it, rolled her eyes again) Because the food was tasty and everything else was great it still deserves a 4 star. If I based it off one girl and a bad attitude a 2. Thankfully the food was good. I also really liked they had a nice hand washing station.

Super yummy hand pulled noodles. I opted for the spicy soup and it was a fantastic, filling and flavorful late lunch. I also added the beef roll, which is a crispy pancake wrapped around slices beef with hoisin sauce and spring onions. Both were delicious and the price was pretty good considering the touristy location.

This place is an amazing Chinese restaurant! 🇨🇳 Kung Fu Kitchen has an unbelievable selection of authentic delicious 🤤 dishes 🍽️! Definitely try the Hand Cut Noodles Soup 🍜 with Chicken 🐔 and the Popcorn Chicken 🍗! Ambience 🎶 is fantastic and they actually project 📽️ a video on the wall that shows how they make their hand-pull noodles and hand-cut noodles! They also have a number of Michelin star ⭐ dishes! Prices 🏷️ are affordable, service is super quick, and staff 👨‍🍳 is super nice! I wish I knew about this place earlier!

This place is really nice and very close to Times Square. The ambience is relaxed and servers are fast and polite. I ordered a few things so that's why I spent more, but it's not pricey at all. The soup wasn't of my taste, I have tried better to be honest, but the dumplings OMG!! Soooo flavorful and perfectly done. Also the tea! I know it's just tea, but the flavor was AMAZING!. I will come back to try more stuff, I really liked and it's a good option for comfort food for this chilly season. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I had the best dining experience here tonight. Seafood hotpot and fish dumplings were out of this world. Everything tasted so fresh, healthy and well prepared. The soup broth was particularly outstanding. Highly highly recommend this place. Also ordered a hot oolong tea with honey which was quite flavorful. I’ll definitely be back here.

We came in for a late lunch and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious! We had the Peking duck buns, pork soup dumplings and stir fried beef and chili peppers followed by taro puffs for dessert. Everything came quickly and was so tasty!

Love this place! I tried the ramen and the soup taste so good! We tried the house special fried handmade noddle, also taste good. Definitely will come by again when visiting Times Square

With the crazy rain and the busy people, we decided to have lunch here before heading back to the hotel a few blocks down. We were sat right away, came before the dinner rush. Very cozy and clean interior. Although we were sat pretty fast upon entering, it took about 5 minutes for the server to come and greet us. He wasn't busy, I think he was just waiting for us to be ready with our drink and food order. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls, the pork pan fried dumplings, the won ton soup, the pan fried shrimp noodles and the chicken ramen soup. The shrimp spring rolls were tasty, although I think it has any protein. Maybe I ordered the vegetables rolls not knowing. My daughter enjoyed the pan fried dumplings. The ramen soup was huge, but very tasty. My husband enjoyed his pork won ton soup, also huge serving. The pan fried noodles were also very tasty. I also ordered the passion fruit tea. So refreshing. Our bills total was also very nice. It included the gratitude, and we only paid $88, much cheaper than our lunch yesterday at this hole in wall bento place downtown. Hope to try it again, before we leave.

My friend and I stopped here randomly when she saw the Michelin recommended sticker. We decided to just order some appetizers since we were on our way to a show. We sat at the big table in the back by the bathrooms (the communal table) and order three things: the mushroom buns, scallion pancakes with beef and the duck buns. The mushroom buns were okay. Didn't have much flavor. The duck fried buns had more flavor but not as much filling I would have liked. I thought the scallion pancakes were the best with the seasoned meat inside. Very good. Overall service was a bit slow since we were in a rush but typical Chinese food.

Stopped in randomly while searching for a pho spot or some soup. I did not enjoy the food. I ordered the shrimp hot pot the waiter did warn me it comes with skin on but I didn't think I would be fighting my food to get it off. I ordered medium heat but asked for more chili oil it wasn't spicy at all. I also thought it would have some type of noodle there wasn't any and I ordered the cucumber salad which was refreshing and well marinated but was not the spiral sliced it was just cube so felt over priced. so after spending $50 I was hungry and had to order food when I got home. I do think I ordered badly so I'd go back and possibly try the dumplings or a noodle dish. The mango slush was delicious! I wanted to take one to go. Very clean and fast paced spot spacious inside.

This place has me having dream at night about fresh, hot, juicy, spicy soft little pillows of minced pork and ginger and all kinds of heavenly bits of goodness! My daughter and I found this wonderful little place on our trip to New York in December and I have not stopped talking about how OUT OF THE WORLD the dumplings were. If you're in the area - stop!! Do yourself a favor! You can thank me later!

We randomly just walked in and decided to try this place and I'm so glad we did. There was seating for the 5 of us around lunch time. Service was great and everything we ordered was delicious!

Hidden gem. We were seated right away - cozy, comfortable tables. Our server came over right away and answered all questions we had. The pan seared pork and shrimp dumplings and won ton soup were both hot and delicious. To drink we had the Ho Ho Fruity which was light and refreshing. The chicken stir fry hand cut noodles was yummy as well. When we're back in the city we'll visit again.

Kung Fu Kitchen is a solid spot for noodles and dumplings. Their xiao long bao was surprisingly delicious with thin skin and flavorful broth. I also enjoyed their beef noodles with sliced peppers which would make for great lunch or takeout fare. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and well lit. Service was friendly and prompt as well.

Wow the food was above and beyond !!! Was in the city working then I passed Ebad Fabric Store in Manhattan to purchase some fabrics from my go to place. It was evening time I was hungry it was raining and I was craving some dumplings. I was mentioned by them there is a nearby Chinese restaurant near them. To try out Kung Fu Kitchen I got to Kung Fu Kitchen - I think it's cool if you're in a rush to order to go from the outside window. However, they seemed busy so I went inside by the counter greeted by the server and ordered my order to go. Thank god they had dumplings!! and more exciting when I noticed they had the dumpling soup (chicken) usually many chinese fast food or restaurants serve pork... I also ordered the beef braised tendon soup which came with fresh hand-cut noodles alongside with passion fruit green iced boba. I sat down it took about 10-15 minutes till my order was ready and I noticed the packaging it was unique and environmental friendly which you can reuse for hot and cold food(reminded me of lunch bag) The restaurant has a cool asian aesthetic design and great place to come and dine with loved ones or grab food to go! The soup chicken dumpling hit the spot! My mother is not fam of beef tendon soup but she really enjoyed it and for its fresh quality. Soup was mild spicy but our server was kind enough to put the broth in separate plastic bowl, ramen veggies separate, and the chili sauces in small tiny containers so we can add to our liking and spiciness. it is truly a hidden gem, thanks to Ebad Fabric for recommending me this place!!

I found this place using what else, my Yelp. It was a two block walk around the corner from my hotel. I was feeling under the weather & was in need of some good homemade soup. I chose the pork wonton soup with Bok Choy & a Honey Bee Lemon tea. You know the saying, starve a cold-feed a flu. I slept so much the day before that I thought I lost the day & missed the entire concert, but thanks to the big wide TV screen showing the date of 9/12/23, I realized that I hadn't missed anything. When you walk in from the street, you really feel like you're in a different place. IT's pleasant, decorated nicely, clean, & smells delicious. The owner took care of me right away, she must have saw that I was in horrible shape. The Pork Won-ton soup was excellent & the hot tea, she put it in a to go container for me. I only had a small appetite, but the broth hit the spot. If you are in the mood form some authentic Vietnamese food & excellent service & are near Madison Square Garden, then this spot is for you. TAKEOUT review only - Atmosphere was nice.. BUT a BIG red flag was the fact the night I went , there were NO asian(chinese, Korean, Japanese) dining there...should been a warning. Ordered the beef wrapped bing - for 10.90 the pictures definitely catfished me. Not only was it super greasy, probably frozen, there was literally maybe 2 thin slices beef in it with a smattering of green onions? I get inflation and shrinkflation but DAMN. SKIP this place. definitely NOT worth your $$$. Go to any NYC Chinatown instead of here. Tourist trap.

Go for the food, a bit short in ambiance. They have decent Xiaolongbao ( soup dumplings) not the best but definitely worth a try.

The food here is really tasty. Great option for noodles in the midtown area. I really love the fatty beef noodle option. Its got just the right amount of spice. Its a huge bowl too, so really filling. The other items are okay, but not as good as the noodles imo. Last time I tried the beef roll, and thought that they had added too much sauce. It gets busy, so theres a chance that you will need to share tables. Also note that they include the tip in the bill, but this is not clear when you go to sign.

This place is great. Came again with work peeps, had a large group, over 10 for lunch and got sat right away. By the time we left, they were full, so, go early. Soup dumplings, delicious and hits the spot on a cold day. The Bok Choy is good too along with the onion pancake. Service is also great.

The soup dumplings and "dim sum" items here are okay, but the noodles are pretty disappointing. We got a stir-fried noodle and the wok clearly wasn't hot enough to get that flash fry effect that you want on the vegetables in a stir-fried noodle dish. The effect that results is a plate of noodles and sad, limp vegetables that are lying in a pool of bland vegetable water that hasn't been properly cooked off.

I had tried Kung Fu Kitchen at another location before and I thought the food was just okay, but one of my friends was insistent on me coming to this location for a better experience so I gave in. I will say that this location has more variety of foods, not sure if the food tastes better, but I think I ordered way better here than at the other location so hence the 4 versus 3 stars. - House Special Ramen Soup - Can skip. Although I really liked the broth, I felt like the noodles didn't capture a lot of flavor and the ingredients didn't really come together in a way that I would've anticipated. - Scallion Pancake with Sliced Beef - I thought the other location made this dish slightly better as they included additional sauce on the side, also the beef was more tender there. Would recommend only if you eat this while it's hot as that's when the pancake is the crispiest. - Pan-fried Peking Duck Buns - Can skip. I was hoping it would be similar to Shanghainese Pan fried Buns but it wasn't - the bun was too thick and there was too little filling inside. Also, you couldn't really taste the duck flavor. - Turnip Puff - Normally I wouldn't order something like this but my friends did and it was honestly incredibly delicious. On the outside, the puff was flaky and buttery and on the inside there were strands of turnip mixed with other vegetables. Genuinely couldn't recommend this more, and nothing made me happier. - Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken - May or may not be one of the best popcorn chicken I've had in the States although I want to try the place (Poppy Poppy) a few streets down as they're specialty is this exactly. I really loved the spicy dry seasoning they had on the side as you could determine how much flavor you would like your chicken to have and they absolutely nailed the flavor. Definitely a must get when you come here. - Fatty Beef Dry Pot - I actually really like the beef in here although there was barely any of that. It was incredibly spicy but I did appreciate the corn a lot which was able to take in all of the seasoning. Overall, not a bad place for food on a weekday night especially if you're looking for something in Midtown with no line. Definitely recommend the turnip puff and Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken.

We came for dim sum. After we thoughtfully reviewed the menu and carefully curated our order which included the highly touted soup dumplings, the waiter abruptly said there was no dim sum available. Why not put a sign outside or at each table or have the hostess advise us before we sat down? I wanted to walk out but hastily ordered whatever was left on the menu...not what I wanted and not what I wanted to pay. It feels like a bait and switch...come for dim sum, but wait, we don't have any! The food was ok, but left a proverbial bad taste in my mouth. Disappointing experience indeed.

You must try Kung Fu Kitchen!! We loved it!! While walking back to our hotel, tired and hungry after a busy day of sightseeing in New York we stumbled upon this place. We love noodles so we decided to try here. The restaurant was busy and not much seating so we decided to get take out. The wait time was reasonable. We got our food packaged in a nice insulated bag, a thoughtful gesture to keep our food warm. Boy we're we surprised!! It was like comfort food from home! I ordered the Duck Noodle Soup and it was delicious.. the soup was tasty and the cuts of duck was nice and meaty. The duck was a little salty.. perfect, exactly how i like it! Also yummy was the Soup Dumplings! We loved both dishes so much we went back! I am home now... over 1,000 miles away and i'm missing Kung Fu Kitchen. My mouth is watering writing this review!

We came here for an early dinner, before watching a broadway show. Kungfu kitchen specializes in authentic steamed buns and hand-pulled ramen. Since we only wanted some light dinner we ordered mostly from their Michelin guide menu page. I love the modern Chinese motif of this place and the second thing I noticed was the entire place is pristine. We ordered the following dishes to share: 1. Steamed shrimp and pork dumplings; oozes with delicious soup when you bite them. 2. Scallion pancakes with sliced beef 3. Pan-fried Peking duck buns; this dish stood out from the rest. 4. Pork and shrimp wonton soup All the recommended dishes are simply epicurean. They came in a timely fashion, suited well with a cold local beer. We decided to hold off on their famous hand-pulled noodles giving an excuse to come back sometime soon.

It was a chilly, wet 40 degrees day and we were in the mood for some hot food to warm our stomaches and continue our quest of trying out all the soup dumpling places in the five boroughs. At the entrance were six printed pieces of paper claiming they had michelin stars from 2018 to 2023. I thought to myself huh, now my expectations are higher. I don't usually bother to leave reviews but let me say, I felt it was my civic duty to write this time. First the scallion pancakes came, it was ok. Very basic and thin, nothing special. The bok choy and noodle very quickly followed the missus commented we should finish the pancake first before it gets cold. The bok choy was easily the best part of the meal, they were steaming hot, fresh and crunchy. The hand cut noddle was perfectly al dente and we were getting excited about the meal. However. The lasted for exactly the first bite of the noodles. The noddle soup started off lukewarm, and in few minutes quickly chilled into a cooled down salty soup. Our pork soup dumplings finally came last however there was, an issue. We asked the waiter for a saucer with ginger to hold the dipping sauce because they never gave us any. He came back but it had no ginger so we had to reclarify and ask again. Every single soup dumpling place I've been to, including the god awful tourist trap Joe's Shanghai would bring you a saucer with ginger before the dumplings even arrived. It is just basic 101 for serving soup dumplings. Even the instructions on their chopsticks tells you to pour sauce into ginger and dip your dumplings into them. The dumplings themselves were mediocre. The fillings had no texture, they were thin and the soup inside instead of being hot enough to burn your tongue, were, lukewarm. While Joe's Shanghai will always be my number one worst place in this city for soup dumplings, I have no doubt in my mind this is the number two. There's just a lack of care and pride from top down, from the front of the house to the kitchen. The food came out fast, but other than the bok choy they weren't even hot. It's just unbelievable to me looking back how poor of an experience it was. Stay far away, go literally anywhere else to fill your stomach. By the way, while ordering I asked if they had any hot tea to enjoy the dumplings with. The waitress told me the only tea they serve here was cold bubble tea. Apparently the technology to bring things to boil was lost to them.

I really enjoyed the vegetable stir fry ramen! I'd never had stir fried ramen noodles, but I was very impressed! It was $12 which was very cheap for the huge amount of food I received. The vegetables stirred in were pretty plain, but the bok choy was yummy. The service wasn't incredible. The waiters didn't come to check up on us very often and we sat waiting for a while after we had finished eating. The restaurant had a projector playing a documentary about Chinese immigrants in New York which was kind of a cool touch.

This place is voted NYC's best-steamed buns and hand-pulled noodles restaurant, so I want to give it a try. We tried the xiao long bao, but the bun's skin is not the same you can usually have in Shanghai, the seasoning is too mild and the vinegar do not have any sour flavor. The beef ramen is good though! The hand-making process involves taking a lump of dough and stretching it repeatedly to produce the noodled, which will increase the flavor and texture of the noodle.

I wouldn't go for the ambience but the food is excellent and inexpensive. The dumplings, noodles and beef pancake were all amazing. Can't wait to go back.

This little restaurant is great when you are craving Chinese food staples!! We were pretty hungry and they were able to seat us quickly. The prices of everything is very reasonable for the quantity of food. We started with the scallion pancake, which was very mediocre. The dough was too chewy and the scallion flavor was too light. The soup dumplings were amazing!! So flavorful and juicy, proportion of filling to dough was also pretty good. The beef tendon noodle soup is also amazing and came with so so much yummy beef! The house special handcut noodles were alright. I really liked the texture of the noodles but the dish overall was fairly bland, especially the tea egg. Note that the 15% gratituity is already added to receipt. We did not know and ended up paying quite a bit more! I would come back again for soup dumplings and noodles!

The ramen - hand-cut noodles were very good. Unfortunately, mine was cold when it was delivered........hence three stars and not five. gratuity included - FYI. Service was good - husband loved his. I saw several other diners' tables - the pancakes and dim sum looked delicious. Hot tea is a single cup -= order the big one.

We went for an early lunch before a matinee play -- it was superb! We were there right at opening, the woman was very kind, sat us immediately, but while we waited the outside was heated! It looked like you could be seated at the long table with others but since we were so early we sat at a large table just the two of us. They have a television/projector screen? With all sorts of information about the chef and the restaurant, interesting and amazing info. We ordered pork soup dumplings, chicken dumplings, the house stir fried ramen, and the duck ramen. The dumplings were delicious, I suggest eating the soup dumplings while they're hot! My mom LOVED the chicken dumplings and she had the House Stir Fry. Ate every bite. Beef was delicious, the tea egg was as well. Portions are a nice size. I had never had duck ramen before and it wasn't my favorite way to have duck but that is more of a personal preference than a reflection of them. The broth was delicious and the noodles are slippery and wonderful! I'll be back. You should go, too!

Awesome restaurant!! I absolutely love their xiao long bao and fried noodles!! I am from SoCal where it's literally Chinese food Mecca and let me tell you, if they open up a branch then they will put others out of business.

Minutes from Times Square, this place was delicious! Every dish ordered was made fresh and tasty. The Shredded Beef & Chili Pepper Stir-Fry Handcut Noodles was made perfectly with a hint of spiciness to hit the spot. We arrived right at opening, so did not have a wait. We are glad to have stumbled upon this place and will definitely be back again. Gratuity of 15% was already included even for our party of 4. Cannot wait until our next visit to NYC...enjoy!

Very carefully made food. The location does NOT look promising, and it looks like a tourist trap. But it is the highest quality, experienced cooking. Get any of the house made noodles. You will never want to settle to eating "normal" Chinese takeout again.

A 15% gratuity is included in the bill but I will need to add the tip again when I pay. They are not honest about the tip suggestions too. $17.93 X 15%= $2.69 but they put $3.09. Because they added 15% to $17.93 before calculating that tip suggestions. Obviously, they did it on purpose. Besides, the noodles are not good, they are so stiff. I do not recommend this place!

I liked this little place around the corner from our hotel. I had the Spicy Beef Hand-Pulled Noodle Soup. It was very good. I'd get it very often if this were near my home in LA. Good variety on the menu.

Excellent small Cafe. Food was fresh, tasty and well prepared. Friendly service. The restaurant is very small, we did dine in and were very comfortable, but it does appear that a majority of their business is take-out and door dash. Our favorite dishes are the Basil Eggplant with Chicken and Prawns and the Mongolian 3 combo. So good!

I mean this place is aiight. Used to be better pre-covid if you ask me. Prices have gone up.. quality not so much. Last time my girl got a spicy tofu dish and she can hold down the chilis way better than me. I thought it was gonna be a scorcher. Tasted like a watery soup. We drenched it hot sauce just to get some flavor. If your nearby and got a craving for noodles and dim sum, go in and get some. At worst it'll fill you up but nothing to write home about.

This is one of my favorite places to visit when I'm in NYC for a Broadway show. Everything on their menu is freshly made and delicious. You have to try the scallion pancake with sliced beef for an appetizer. You also can't visit this place without trying at least one of type of dumpling. My go-to dinner option is the hand carved "dao xiao" noodles prepared with shredded beef and chili peppers. This place is always busy but wait time is never too long. They do a great job turning tables over and getting you in the door. It's definitely worth the wait! Heads up, they do community style sitting so you might be at a table with another party if it's crowded. I can't wait to go back.

Right on the 8th avenue in the theater district, this hidden gem greeted us with quick seating and quick service. The aroma of warm Ramen greets you at the door, drawing you in. Minimalist interior, yet still comfortable. Hot, fresh food, with reasonable pricing. Friendly service, and obviously a local favorite. If hit the spot!

Food was good and reasonably priced. But not a lot of chicken It was prepared fast and a good location to Times Square

Opens late and the food was amazing. Only reason giving less than five star is because I found a plastic inside of my soup dumpling. When I brought this to our servers attention. Only excuse that the dumpling is made as where. I didn't ask for replacement and paid for my soup dumpling as well. My parents own Asian restaurant too but it was disappointing how the situation was handled and lack of mistake ownership. Having this kind of plastic come out of food is big issue.

Very good food. My husband had the scallion pancake with beef and it changed his life, lol. Pan fried dumplings were so good as was the sticky rice balls. Definitely recommended.

I would give more if I could. Best noodles I have ever had. I love this place We had stir fried Ramen and house Ramen. As well as mushroom and baking chocolate Steamed buns.

Awesome food. This was my first time at the restaurant and I will definitely go back the next time I visit New York City.

We just wanted simple comfort food. This is my first visit here while someone else in my party had been here before. The spicy beef soup with hand-cut noodles was delicious. We got extra chili oil on the side. Stir-fried tomatoes and eggs was good. We wanted to love the scallion pancakes but it just did not delivered. They were crispy and thin but did not delivered on the taste. No scallion taste whatsoever. The tea infused eggs were solid. Overall a good experience. Just wished the scallion pancakes were better.

We went there after a Broadway show on late Sunday afternoon. It was not very crowded. I ordered our regular dish which is the crab meat and pork soup dumplings. They used to have the shrimp and squash soup dumplings. But it was discontinued. I was very surprised to notice that the dumplings are all machine-made now. On the website it still says they are authentic handmade dumplings. These soup dumplings are a little smaller than before with wired shape. The skin is unnaturally shiny and smooth. There is no crab meat or crab-taste and the meat inside looked and tasted synthetic. I asked the waiter if those are machine-made ones. He said yes! I won't go back for the dumplings next time. We also ordered scallion pancake with beef. It was good.

We stopped here to have a quick bite for lunch and the portions are large. We ended up taking home a lot of leftovers. If it's only two of you you can have one entrée and split it and have enough food. We were pretty mundane and ordered the chicken lo mein and the shrimp fried rice. They're tasty dishes but next time I will try something a little bit more adventurous like their soup dumplings. We ordered tea. You can order only by the tea pot so it with ended up being eight dollars for a teapot that easily could have been shared with four people, depending on how much you drink.

We came in and were greeted promptly and ordered appetizers within a minute. However, our server disappeared (I could her in the back talking to people that were shoveling food in their mouths) for about 20 minutes and never came to take our order. We had to wave someone down just to get someone to take my daughters order. We came in at about 915 and didn't get to order until 9:43. While we ordered late the ramen dish came BEFORE our appetizers that we ordered over 25 minutes earlier. The ramen, soup dumplings and the pork buns were so-so. Usually my daughter gobbles everything up but we ended leaving with most of our food still on the plate. Would not recommend. Try Shanghai 21 - it was amazingly delicious and worth the subway ride even if you're staying in Times Square.

We ordered soup dumplings, spicy mapo tofu, and scallion pancake with beef and spicy beef hot pot. Everything we ordered was tasty and flavorful! Only wish if they make things more spicier

We went here for New Year's Eve and it was a busy time.. But the food is great! Soup dumplings are bomb! The place is nice and clean. Highly recommend

Tasted Horrible. Looks nothing like the picture on the menu. Looks like chicken with mold on it. Gross. DRY ASF
