"Kung Fu Noodle House features a variety of Cantonese, Sichuanese, and Taiwanese dishes. Expect options like beef noodle soup, noodles with soybean paste, and cumin lamb, as well as a variety of chili pots, skewered meats, and dumplings. An ideal destination for a warm and nourishing bowl of noodles on a cold day in metro Detroit." - Danny Palumbo

Dim Sum is one of those foods that’s just fun because of the experience itself…watching the carts go by. While the food still captures that, the experience here isn’t the same…it’s order ala carte via menu. it’s a smallish restaurant for Dim Sum. Still good. The items here are significantly larger in size. Service is quite prompt & friendly. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Maybe they should invest in some renno work as the decor is very spartan & somewhat on the eco side, e.g., faux brick wallpaper that looks faux. Don’t let that dissuade you the food is still good. Thumbs up. Good value. Taste is closer to US Inpired Chinese than authentic.

Update: This photo is a great dish called the beef noodle soup with high spice. They removed it from their menu, as they now only serve Dim Sum. When I did walk in to inquire about eating there after they changed to serving Dim Sum, the server/owner’s demeanor wasn’t the best to me. I think they should update the name, because they don’t really specialize in noodle dishes anymore. This place was great back in 2021, though.

If you're familiar with dim sum or want to have an authentic experience, then this place is definitely the place to go! They start to get really busy on the weekend from noon to 1:30pm. It's not a big place; the bathrooms are clean. The food was good, not oily (however, certain type of dishes are meant to be oily), not heavily seasoned (you can use the soy sauce & chili oil on the table to adjust the flavor), very generous portion, and the carts go around frequently. I noticed they also have a physical menu to order family style dishes, but you'd definitely have to ask for it. The servers all speak English, though not fluent, so please be respectful and patient. If you speak mandarin or cantonese, then they definitely can respond alot faster. If you know what you like in dim sum, showing photos definitely help, so they can prepare it for you in the kitchen if they're not on the cart. I only took a star off because i wished there were more "sweet" options on the pastry cart, the table was kind of sticky, and it would be helpful to include a spoon with the utensils!

New management took over 2 months ago, this is now a dimsum restaurant. And they're really good! I've been to a few dimsum restaurants in Michigan and the food is usually luke warm when served but not this place! It is served from the cart but I love that it all comes out hot! They didnt have a menu when I was there, and not everyone there spoke English. Wasn't a problem for me as I knew what I wanted and if it wasn't on the cart, I was still able to have the cart lady placed an order with the kitchen. If you're unfamiliar with dimsum, try asking for the manager, he speaks English and could help you. Overall, their dimsum is really good! The har gao has fresh shrimp and was huge! The carrot cake was a favourite and even the braised pork ribs were perfect and not too oily. I can attest the flavour here is authentic! This place does get busy because everyone somehow knows how good it is, so try to come early!

They change the owner or something. Now they have Dim sum. About $5 a plate. They still serve regular Chinese food also with a different menu. Dim sum is pretty good, not greasy, not too much msg. Pretty standard. Good thing is that there is not a lot of people. Maybe because of the location, so you don't have to wait like other Dim sum restaurant in metro Detroit. They probably get it from the same supplier anyway. I doubt they make everything in house. They used to have one of the best noddles in Detroit. I will find out next time Good service, the servers are nice. Lets see how they keep up the quality after a couple more months

A must go to place!!! The noodle soup is super authentic and the side dishes are also very tasty. If you want to try some really spicy and fresh dishes, don’t miss the cold spicy chicken. The dining service is great. They provide all the flavors you need for the dishes. I am amazed by the portion of the pork intestines that they put in the noodle. Highly recommend this restaurant.

On my first day at the new job, my coworkers took me here. The atmosphere was good, the restaurant was clean and spacious. We ordered some fried dumplings and fried squid rings, and they were tasty. I ordered the spicy Taiwanese beef noodle soup, and it was amazing. It was not only spicy, but really flavorful. The noodle had great texture, the beef was soft and tender. I would definitely come back here to try out more dishes.

I grew up in the Toronto area and had a great selection of dim sum restaurants there. This place brings back those memories in terms of flavor, atmosphere, tea selection, and plus it's push cart style! The hargow, siu mei, cha siu bow, braised chicken feet, lor mai gai (lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice with chicken), and tripe all tasted VERY good and is, so far, the BEST flavored in this city. I also really dig the good tea selection, which for OG dim sum-goers, is essential to good dim sum experience. Recommendations: Go early (I.e right when it opens on weekends, 11am) and youll have first dibs on the piping hot dim sum selection coming off the steam ovens. if you go 45min to 1hr after it opens, expect some wait time for table AND food (which honestly is part of the dim sum experience). Dim sum is a time to sit down with friends and family to catch up over a cup of nice tea...not a really an eat-and-go affair. Also, if you find you aren't able to get the food you want coming out on the push cart, just let the server know and they might be able to get you something straight from the kitchen.

Yelp
Coming from California and growing up in the San Gabriel Valley (one of the largest concentrations of Asian Americans in the continental United States) and living in the San Francisco Bay Area (also another area with a large of Asian Americans), it is very easy to get spoiled with the immense amount of Asian cuisine available to us. And dim sum is one of those dying meals because it's laborious and the dim sum chefs are getting older and older and not enough younger people are learning the craft. If there are, then they'd likely be from China. By the way, this review is solely based off of my dim sum experience. Dim sum is just one of those comfort foods I grew up and it was a family past time. Once in Michigan, the desire for childhood comfort surges. I randomly found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. i was too lazy to drive to Royal Palace of Troy in Troy. The name is confusing because it has "Noodle House" in its name. They really should change the name. Anyways, it's a much smaller place than Royal Palace and the pricing is similar. I was taken aback by the taste. It doesn't necessarily beat the tastes in California, but it comes close that it brings much comfort. Another thing that brings comfort is how un-overpriced it is unlike California, which has become very expensive and destroyed the past time for me and my family. Despite being a small place, they still push dim sum carts around. Some ideas need to be special ordered. Regardless if you want to taste dim sum for comfort or to try it out the first time, then you should give this place a try if you're too lazy to go to Troy.

Yelp
Starting with saying they recently have new owners. Not sure how things were before. Good food was served at this location. The dim sum was very fresh because we ordered it at night. The shrimp fried rice was very flavorful. The rice and shrimp were seasoned well. The crispy noodles with chicken were very interesting, but amazing. The restaurant staff were all very nice. I was sad there wasn't noodles dishes like before when I heard of the place, but the food served was excellent.

Yelp
First time coming to Kung Fu Noodle House since they changed ownership. Everything interior looks pretty much the same, but the menu changed. Now they included dim sum and more Cantonese food. Overall mediocre experience. Portions are very small. 夫妻肺片 tasted like they just unfroze it, still watery and not fresh. Probably the worst I've had. Yet cost $12.99. Wonton tasted fine for my kid. Doesn't seem worth it for $10 though. The beef stew was good but $25.99. Beef on the tougher and chewier side. Also got a fish dish (青花椒鱼)that was $19.99 (not pictured). Few pieces of fish fillet. Taste was good but still not worth it. Service was ok. It's was day 1 of work for our waitress so not the most helpful. Overall would not return. But if I have to guess, their Cantonese food is probably better than Sichuan dishes.

Yelp
Ate here twice in a span of a few days. Did not try the dim sum. Came here twice for dinner. First time had peking pork chop, some kind of chicken dish and a veggie dish. All were pretty good. The next time I came we had the two dishes in the pictures. The fried rice was good. The noodles were not what I was expecting. It was tasty but I was expecting the crispy noodles with the seafood in the sauce. So if you are unsure about what you might be getting you better ask. But food was pretty good so I would eat here again.

Amy R.

Yelp
Came here today for dim sum with the family as we were excited to see dim sum. Was disappointed very quickly. The food in the carts look hot, it was not. Crispy taro cakes were cold and lacked flavor! We ordered 10 items and the lady marked up the sheet as 11. The fried soy noodles off the cart was cold and is considered a "kitchen special" at $9.95. The only thing with flavor and that was hot was the tea! Will not be returning.

Michelle D.

Yelp
There's a lot of noodle house, but not many that specifically serves the spicy sweet potato glass noodle bow and this is the nearest place I could find. Huge portions for pretty good price. Wished the noodle has bolder flavor (a little bit spicier, a little bit more sour). They have tons of noodle options by the way. Also wished my stomach capacity was bigger so I could try some dumplings, but well, that's for another time.

Yelp
Take out 6/5/23. Mao's pork and Red Curry - beef, Med spice, hand made noodle. This place delivers consistent, authentic, good quality Szechuan cuisine. Both dishes were superb. Mao's pork was thick, fatty and decadent and exactly what I wanted at the time. It was delicious and satisfied a craving for sure. The red curry was a wonderful blend of flavor and spice. Not too salty and beef was incorporated well into the dish. I would order both again. Price is on the higher side. This restaurant and Trizest are your best bet for authentic Szechuan.

Yelp
Newly converted to dim sum every day!!!! So Kung Fu Noodle House Madison Heights was bought by another owner, and now it's dim sum everyday. Information below. It's not online anywhere, but I knew foodies here would rejoice I think they're still working out the kinks so be kind, and they speak mostly Mandarin/ Cantonese but if you ask for a menu you can pick items that way.

Yelp
I dined here when it was strictly Kung Fu Noodle House (previous owner). Today was my second time visiting but under new ownership and change of menu. Dim sum is offered all day along (which was my main reason for returning). There is also a large separate menu of very authentic Chinese dishes. For those familiar, they offer the amazingly delicious squirrel fish!! Saw another group order and it looked just as good as I've had at Trizest Chinese restaurant (another amazing restaurant you MUST try!) We only ordered Dim Sum today. We were more than happy and left full with leftovers. If you are familiar with Dim Sum fare, the selections are as expected. The shu mai was the best I've had. The stuffed bean curd was crisp and cooked perfectly. A new dim sum item I have never heard of before was the steamed walnut bun. You HAVE to try it. A unique and amazing dessert that goes perfectly with oolong tea (we were offered 3 different choices when ordering a pot of tea). If you like pecan pie, I bet you'll love this item. Pricing for dim sum plates is exactly as expected. Flavor, presentation, food temperature and serving size of all our orders ensured we will be frequent returning customers. Once word spreads, there is no question this restaurant will have every seat filled and a line waiting out the door. Most of the diners were Chinese (an excellent indicator of the food quality) and there was a constant stream of carry out orders happening. Manager/owner checked in on us along with other diners. Only appeared to be one server. One of the cooks even delivered some of our order. Hopefully that will change with more wait staff, especially as I foresee this establishment getting busy‼

Yelp
Great taste, quick prep, good service, nice and clean place at reasonable price. That pork appetizer is to die for.

Vee V.

Yelp
I ordered delivery and they started prepping my order an hour after estimated delivery time so my order was an hour and a half late. My stomach was letting me know quite vocally that I was well beyond time to eat. I had the spicy cold chicken, I enjoyed this, it had bold flavors, it could have been spicier, but it had a nice balance of tanginess from the black vinegar. I also had the red curry shrimp. The hand pulled noodles were decent but the curry was terrible. The shrimp were so mushy they were literally disintegrating, I thought I was going to get food poisoning with one bite. The curry broth was cold, spicy, but no other flavor. I liked the chicken, but not enough to wait on it again or roll the dice on a different dish.

Mercedes V.

Yelp
Not a fan of the menu items we ordered. The pan fried dumpling, sliced pork belly, beef Taiwan noodle soup and shrimp meifun. It lacked salt / umami flavor I expect from eating Asian cuisine. Spent $45++ for 4 items with no drinks. Per Serving of the meal can be shared by 2-3 persons. There wasn't anyone eating when we got there around 6pm on a Saturday. After 30 minutes, a family of 4 went in. After that, mostly take outs. Is this a sign to eat somewhere else? It's a personal preference. My hubby seemed to like the food but I don't.

Basil F.

Yelp
That's a nasty red snapper, they didn't even cut the fins off. That's just telling me they haven't clean inside of the fish neither. S

Lindsay H.

Yelp
Best dim sum place ever! Everything tastes fresh and there's great variety here. Also, workers are fast.

Yelp
Cantonese-style stir-fry, Garlic Spare Ribs. Stir-fried with enough wok hei - Good-tasting Cantonese cuisine with a standard of quality

Yelp

Yelp
First time here and definitely not my last either! This restaurant popped up in my Insta feed recently and it made me check it out on Yelp and Insta What put me over the hump was that they were offering a 15% off Lunar New Year deal too I actually got the dish that was being promoted, power of suggestion, right? I ordered the chicken and green beans with garlic sauce (luckily it wasn't too garlicky either) Got my order to go, even tho inside dining is FINALLY open They were taking all Covid precautions as well The gentleman at the register, I believe the owner, was very nice too My next visit might change them to a 5 vs a 4.5 Go check them out!

Mike B.

Yelp
Loved it! I ordered carry out: shredded beef with long horn peppers and the fried dumplings. The beef was stir fried Szechuan spicy, good quality meat, fresh veggies (onions and peppers), and a delicious sauce. I loved the dumplings, too. They were tender, not over-fried, and good-sized.

Harold W.

Yelp
I stopped by a few days ago. The food was tasteless, if anything a little salty, and the waiter was very rude. The entire ambiance of the place was off. The decorating is really bad, it looks like a house. And when someone goes out somewhere to eat they don't need to be surrounded by run down house furniture, but high class furniture for restaurants like booths and better lighting. I would prefer that the food would be made quicker, better, and made from the heart. I didn't bother leaving a tip due to the waiter being rude and the food being tasteless. 0/10

Angelina J.

Yelp
Great place to get authentic Chinese food. Their noodle is so good. Fast and great customer service. Taiwanese beef noodle soup is a must try dish, you got a great chunk of beef that is very tender and tasty. Slightly spicy but not overpowering the flavor. Szechuan tofu is so good too. Eggplant dish is a must try as well

Lina P.

Yelp
I'm so happy to have finally tried Kung Fu Noodle House. The whole menu looks amazing and I appreciate the variety of regional dishes, many of which were my absolute favorite from my time living in China. We got the black bean noodles, dumplings and Hawaiian fried rice. All were super yummy but the black bean noodles were my favorite. Please do yourself a favor and discover how amazing black bean noodles can be. Looking forward to coming by and trying one of the noodle soups- all of which look superb. Thankful for such a great Chinese/Taiwanese spot in the area.

Aubrianna H.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful! Hidden gem! Clean and large restaurant. Very spacious. The staff was friendly and helped us with the menu. Very authentic. Tried the beef sticks, steamed potstickers, beef chow mein and seafood noodle soup. BEST potstickers in my life. So juicy, didn't even need the soy sauce. Chow mein full of flavor. The seafood noodle soup was like A hug. Beautiful bright colored and bright soup flavors. Very clean and refreshing.

Aj D.

Yelp
FOOD: To write this review I thought it would be fair to order a very basic dish. So I ordered the beef noodle and for the appetizer I ordered the dumplings steamed to be exact. The beef noodle soup was a bit plain as I expected nothing too fascinating it comes with flour noodles bok choy and beef broth. I don't find anything special about the soup nor have any distinct flavor to it. However the dumpling was OK but what was really interesting about it was the sauce. The hostess/waitress stated that it tasted unique because it was vinegar mixed with other things. She explained that it's traditional Chinese. So to give this restaurant a fair shake perhaps you're trying to be more traditional and that at Aldie additional things that we've seen in American Chinese cuisine. Nonetheless the food was very mediocre when I recommend friends and families a lot of joy and excitement know but it's deafly a place to just stop and grab a bite to eat during lunch as the prices are very fair. SERVICE: The waitress and hostess was by far very accommodating as she knew I was going to take pictures and posting a review. She was extremely nice listen and asked how I liked everything and how I was doing. Five star on the service

Kimberley S.

Yelp
Oh yummy yummy yummy!!!! So glad we found this little gem! My fiancé and I wanted to try something different and we stumbled upon this just driving down the road. And I'm so glad we did. The food here is made fresh and it tasted absolutely delicious. The noodles were cooked to perfection and none of the seasoning or peppers or sauces were overpowering, very light delicious and every herb and vegetable complemented each other. If you're in the area check this place out ....I can't wait to go back!!!!!!

Rodrigo T.

Yelp
I heard they have pretty good noodles here. So we came to smash real quick and see what it's all about. Location is kinda low key. At the back side of an old mini mall. The place is minimally appointed as well. Some decor, tables and chairs everywhere,, period. Let's get to the food shall we. Spicy Beef Tendon: did I tell you I gravitate towards nasty bits. This one presents very well. Served as a cold dish, I think it's pretty good. I'd order this again. Fried Dumplings: this dish is pretty ok, a bit on the greasy side. Meat was seasoned well but the grease is a bit overwhelming. I had to bury it in chili sauce. Beef Tripe and Omasum Noodle Soup: Yes I am that Asian. Nasty bits excite me, so whenever I see it, I order it. This dish for some reason fell short of expectations. I enjoy the gamey flavor, but it gets old fast. Broth needs balancing, maybe a bit more special seasonings. Red Curry Shrimp Noodle Soup: Probably the savior of the evening. My husbands pick and the broth was really delish. I totally adore what you guys are doing. Flavor could probably be worked on a teeny tiny bit. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

Chris D.

Yelp
Good place for a large comforting bowl of Chinese noodle soup along with a few dim sum dishes. Not a lot of meat in the soup but the broth was pretty tasty. Tried the beef as well as the lamb skewers - lamb was the better of the two. Service was very good - a lot of attention to our table as well as all others by the few wait staff that were working. Food came out quickly and piping hot, perfect for the noodle soup.

Darwin M.

Yelp
The Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup was delicious. My wife was unimpressed with the Shrimp Pad Thai. Howevern, there are really no real kid-friendly choices. My son can be a rather selective child with an extremely discriminating palate; they accommodated our request for just noodles and beef broth, but ultimately charged us the full price for the soup, despite not including most of the dish.

Stacia G.

Yelp
Decided to get some takeout from here last night. I got a little carried away with the appetizers- and fortunately had some help! My friend had already been here and made some suggestions. The menu is rather large and it was difficult to decide what to eat. He had the beef noodle soup and he said that it was very good- large portion and lots of noodles. He could not finish. I had the spicy green beans. They were good and not too bad in the spice department. The wontons in spicy sauce were spicy indeed and very good. The crispy salty chicken tasted very good with a different batter than I've ever had- tasty and still moist inside. The dumplings were ok- I think eclipsed by other aspects of the meal. I will definitely order from here again! It's not far at all from my home.

Mayumi S.

Yelp
They have more spicy food now. We were here after Covid reopening . They clean immediately after customers are gone. Table to table has plenty of space . Also 2 more customer inside of restaurant. I feel very safe. I feel safe here than other noodle house near by. Any way food is good as before we will back soon!!

Shanshan Q.

Yelp
Very authentic Chinese food Ana there are plenty of options on the menu! I love this place!!

Jenny P.

Yelp
5 stars for their service 3 stars for their food My cousin and I seen this place when going to satay house but they were a new business and still has not opened. A week later we were going to satay house but noticed they were open! So we gave it a try. The waitresses were super adorable and friendly. They didn't speak much English. I got the red curry dish. I wasn't mad it, but I didn't like it either. It tasted okay. I added some spice with the chili oil they had on he table. I didn't mind the vegetables that were in it but made me ignore the chicken. The chicken was delicious by the way! Tasty and tender. Sadly, I got too full and left behind the chicken bc I was trying to get rid of the veggies. I had better curry broth dishes, is what I'm saying. My cousin got the oxtail noodle soup. Which wasn't bad but she wished it had potato and other veggies. The interior design is quite simple. Delicate and bland at the same time. Not mad at it though. I would come back to try other dishes! They are quite fairly new! My cousin will also want to come back to try their beef brisket noodle soup!

Binh L.

Yelp
the food look nice and taste good but the service is awful only one guy show up for stuff the rest just ignored my family and I.

Bryan K.

Yelp
Ended up with tofu and fish with picked pepper sauce it was a special of the day. Was good for something different even had a hint of ginger added but make sure to mix rice and add chill oil for some extra spice. Great for those looking for mild flavor. Got side tracked from the hand made noodles will have to come back and try it again.

Patrick V.

Yelp
This place is tucked in the back and is hard to see from the main road. However, a friend always wanted to try it out and we did. The weather is getting cold and who doesn't like a nice hot bowl of soup. Going into the place there is not much decor but a bunch of tables with seats. The service was great and always attentive. We asked for hot tea and the funny part is that they gave us mugs with tea bags in them. I found that weird as this was a Chinese restaurant and should at least have tea pots. The food was good and hit the spot. My soup was probably the best. The homemade noodles were good and filling. The place was not my favorite as it has many other places around it to get some soup but would not mind coming back here.

Judy T.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised. Drove 3 mins and was gonna go to Satay house and my husband suggested that we check out the menu of the Kung Fu Noodle. A fairly simple menu...chili pot, noodle soup, skewers... Not busy...but it was also around 2:30pm. With an adventurous mind, we branch out. It was a Saturday. We ordered a beef brisket noodle soup 牛腩面 and a beef and beef tendon noodle soup 牛肉牛筋面, two orders of the pork and enoki mushroom skewer and two orders of the lamb skewer. The skewers were well seasoned. It reminded me of the skewers I had in Beijing. The noodles were good and the broth was perfect. The meat/tendon was delicious and it was off a good portion. We thought about getting the spicy noodle soup but glad we didn't. There were Chinese chili oil on the table where you can manage the spiciness. We were full all day and didn't need to even eat dinner. If I have to be picky....I would say the only thing that I don't like is the fact that I need to pay for hot tea (which is very unusual for a Chinese restaurant to charge for tea). Anyways, it is $1 per cup...so not a game changer. Overall, i recommend this place...and we will go back to try out the chili pot I'm the near future.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Ordered the egg drop seaweed soup, the chicken and squid stick, hot and sour cucumber stick and pad Thai with tofu medium spice. I asked for steamed tofu but the waitress said they don't usually add tofu in their pad Thai. I showed her a picture of tofu in the red curry vermicelli noodle soup and asked her to put that into my tofu and she said okay. The hot and sour cucumber is super crunchy and refreshingly good. I like the vinegar and maybe sesame oil with the sesame seed pairing. My hubby liked his chicken stick, said it reminded him of Cajun seasoning. The squid stick wasn't bad, a bit more rubbery than I would have liked though. The egg drop seaweed soup is decently spicy and has a ton is eggs in it, it's much larger than I was expecting, about 3 times bigger. It came in an entree bowl. Tastes good despite its larger than life size. The pad Thai is good as well, really enjoyed the red, green peppers and Red onion on top of the usual bean sprouts, eggs and green onions. The taste is slightly similar to Thai pad Thai but is more red and tastes different for sure. Still it's good even if it doesn't taste like typical Thai pad Thai. Service is good, quick output of food. Food is tasty.

Bob R.

Yelp
Authentic Chinese food for a decent price. Don't be surprised if you're the only one speaking English in the place. I would go again to sample some of their other offerings.

Jenny Z.

Yelp
Love this place! Especially the skewers. I live for the skewers here. And as far as I know, this is the only place near here that has these kinds of Chinese skewers (but correct me if I'm wrong). I have a soft spot in my heart for lamb skewers (with extra cumin) so I always come and order so many of these. But to be honest, all of the skewers are amazing. Other favorites are the mini sausages, bacon-wrapped enoki, and cauliflower. Given that this place is called "Noodle House," I should probably also mention the noodles. They have a very large selection with many options in terms of customization (i.e. kind of meat, kind of noodle) here, which I feel is rare at many Chinese noodle places (many often only have fewer than 10 noodle dishes to choose from). That said, for some reason I always get the seafood chow mein. Generally, chow mein should not be what one orders at a Chinese noodle house, yet for some reason, it just really hits the spot for me. Aside from skewers and noodles, Kung Fu Noodle House also has other dishes, but these are really not their forte. I would recommend elsewhere if you're looking for family-style dishes. They also have fried ice cream for dessert! Which is quite unique, and very good. And to top it all off, service is great. It's usually not too busy so the servers are super attentive, and they're all extremely smiley and friendly.

Pratik D.

Yelp
If you are craving noodles, definitely try out this place. Red curry shrimp is definitely recommend

Dan O.

Yelp
Stopped by for a workday lunch with a co-worker. KFN opened up recently. Heard about the hand-pulled noodles and wanted to give it a go. Good sized restaurant with parking. Bright and clean interior. There was only one other party in the restaurant when we came in, not an auspicious start. From the menu my buddy got the duck noodle soup. Because I was still recovering from turkey overload during Thanksgiving, I ordered the pork chop noodle soup with extra vegetables. The noodle soups soon came, nice and piping hot, a perfect remedy for a cool Michigan winter day. I guess I was a little too eager to dig in, as I started to shred the pork chop with my chopsticks and fingers. Then the waitress put down a fork and knife, a little bit embarrassing! The pork chop noodle soup was delicious, a nice balance of meat, noodle, vegetable, and broth. As we were eating, the restaurant slowly filled up with people, and there was a decent amount before we left. With the extra vegetables and tax, my meal came out to $11 & change, pretty good. Everything was pretty quick, a place to go for a work lunch. Will repeat to try more of the menu, and recommend!

Yelp
I wanted to like this place so bad! A previous Yelper wrote: "5 stars for their service. 3 stars for their food" I will absolutely second that. The service was awesome, they were so kind. Which makes me sad that the food was just ok. We tried multiple things on the menu: salted chicken plus several BBQ sticks (quail, pork belly, lamb, beef, shrimp). All of the BBQ sticks tasted the same; an overpowering spice was piled on so that you couldn't even taste the meat. That being said the lamb and beef were very tough. Would not order again. For my main course I ordered the seafood noodle soup with the hand pull noodles. The noodles tasted great (they're homemade), but the soup itself was nothing special. Not a lot of flavor. I'll say if you're a seafood fan they definitely didn't skimp on the seafood! Sad to say it, but there are better places to get noodles nearby.

Yelp
Finally, a restaurant that is not a dim sum joint. We ordered some of the bbq sticks which were the beef, squid, and quail, all delicious. It seems like cumin was the main flavor to it. For our entrees we ordered soups with the home made noodles, one roast duck and the other beef brisket. It was good and different!

Yelp
Pretty authentic Chinese noodle dishes. The beef noodle soup was quite good and surprisingly tasty for Metro Detroit. They even have Taiwanese version of beef noodle soup (which is more tomato-y). You can tell how good the food will be when you hear fellow patrons speaking in Chinese. The restaurant is not just a noodle house, but also serves szechuan dishes. When you look at the menu, one side is Chinese and the other side is szechuan. It is a simple sit down restaurant - just simple tables and chairs, white walls, few decorations. Pretty clean because it is still relatively new. I saw a lot of families with young kids, as well as middle-aged people out with their friends. We did not try the szechuan food, so this will only be a review of the Chinese food. We ordered the beef noodle soup, vegetarian noodle soup, and a bunch of skewers. My husband enjoyed the beef noodle soup - it might easily be the best in the area. One thing that is unique to this restaurant that other Chinese restaurants don't have in the area are the skewers. They are all spiced in this paprika/chilli/garlic spice mix and are very tasty! I recommend ordering a few to try. The broth of both noodle dishes were flavorful, without being overly salty or oily. We've tried this place twice now, but we are hoping to return to try the other dishes they have. They do delivery through delivery services! I might take advantage of that on my lazy days.

Yelp
Food was delicious! The noodles were fresh and homemade. Restaurant is clean and service is good. The restaurant lacks ambience but the food more than makes up for that. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed! We had to wait 20 minutes for a table, but I didn't mind as I was so excited to try hand pulled noodles in Michigan! I ordered the spare rib pulled noodles, and they were delicious! Noodles had a good bite, and the spare rib was good. I also ordered the salted crispy chicken, and they're little nuggets and not whole pieces of chicken like I was expecting, but not bad nonetheless. The lamb skewers are where it's at though. I ordered one to begin with and went on to order 4 more. Service was a little slow, but it was opening week and it's also a Chinese restaurant, so that's expected. I will definitely come back and try the other options! Omg get the beef chow mein! I love it to much and get it almost all the time now!

Yelp
Tucked in the car back corner of an obscure little strip mall is a very cool very Chinese eatery. Kung Fu Noodle is Chinese. It's not Chinese food like you know from take out joints all over the place. This is Chinese people food and if you are adventurous you need to come here. You get a complimentary service of tripe and beef now I'll admit I'm not a fan of tripe but I tasted it and well yuck! But hey that's me it's a texture thing more than taste for me. But the simple menu has hand stretched noodles available for many of the dishes or should I say bowls. Big giant serving sizes and as a very big guy I was unable to finish mine. You know I took the rest back to my hotel and in about an hour or so I'm finishing the curry beef which hand stretched noodles. I tried the look belly appetizer and that was great. The salted chicken is directed super cold and with lots of bones. It was edible but not my cup of tea either. It's authentic Chinese cuisine I tried the salted chicken and didn't like it you can't blame the restaurant. Overall service was fast pleasant and polite. The decor is slick modern and there's plenty of space. Don't let the bad review scare you take the word of the FoodDude. Go try this place.

Yelp
Another new noodle addition in Madison Heights! First impression: pretty busy when we walked in at 1pm and this business isn't even on yelp yet! We were quickly seated and ordered our food. I have to say, service is fast and efficient at this restaurant - given the fact that it just opened. First up was popcorn chicken or salted crispy chicken. To be honest I didn't expect much from it but omg was I wrong! Aside from the fact it's full of flavors, it's also crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside! Definitely a 10/10. Second up was a freebie. Chinese marinated beef tripe and tendon with dipping sauce. Flavor is alright, not something I would drive 40 minutes for. Next up were the bbq skewers. The skewers were covered in typical bbq seasoning - spicy powder and cumin. Lamb was grilled to perfection, beef was a bit dry but not bad. The squids were alright. Fourth item we ordered was potsticker served with a side of vinegar. Gotta say, it may not look a lot but it sure was filling and delicious! Last but not least, beef hand-pulled noodle. The broth tastes great but was a bit on the salty side. The noodles were definitely hand-pulled. Overall it was pretty good. In summary I am impressed and excited that there's a new addition in town! Definitely would give it a 4.5 star if I can.

Yelp
FINALLY! An bowl of beef noodle soup that tastes just like how they do in China. Totally crushed my craving and by far best I've had in Michigan! That's a big freaking deal! The Spicy beef brisket served with homemade noodles was on point. Got it extra spicy and though it's more of a mild hot to me, it was perfect as it reminded me of what's expected from a Chinese noodle shop. For carryout orders they kindly separate the noodles from the broth to prevent fat soggy noodles, so you have nothing to worry about when you get home. The broth is filled with so many flavors and spices you can't even fathom how good it is if you've never had it before, just the smell alone will make you drool. The homemade noodles make the dish and will bring you back to the tiny restaurant off the streets in China where you saw the chef pulling noodles at the store front and you curiously walked in and ordered a perfect bowl of beef noodle soup. Sorry Noodletopia this place going to put you out of business until you fix your super bland broth : P
