Allston’s Super 88 Is Now Home to Kung Fu Tea | Eater Boston

"At Super 88 I noticed a new Kung Fu Tea location (1 Brighton Ave.) that debuts a wide-ranging tea menu spanning bubble teas and taro slushes to frozen matcha snow creams. The founders set out to bring Taiwanese bubble tea to the U.S., and the menu is built around tea leaves from Taiwan; according to the brand, teas are brewed every three hours and bubbles (boba) are made every two hours to ensure authentic taste and consistency. Offerings include standard iced teas (black, green, oolong), coffee milk tea, taro milk, almond milk, lemonade tea punches, yogurt and espresso options, plus various frozen beverages. Kung Fu Tea is an international brand with locations across the United States and Canada, plus Australia and Vietnam; this Super 88 spot is the second Kung Fu Tea in Allston (the first opened at 131 Harvard Ave. in 2013) and one of seven locations now in Massachusetts." - Dana Hatic

Service was fast, one of the drinks was made wrong but the employee remade it without hesitation. I liked the taro milk tea, taro flavor is subtle but it was good

This location has Lunch breaks and Dinner breaks from 1-1:30PM and 6-6:30PM. There is no official google store time update but they have a post-it on their door.

I don’t drink tea, just out of curiosity ordered Boba Coffee. It was a good experience, as I mentioned them about my sugar intake preferences. Good Place Good Staff!

STEAR CLEAR UNTIL NEW MANAGEMENT OR PLUMBING Unsure if this location has faulty pipes, bad cleaning, or management that is not strict on employee handwashing. Either way the result is the same, months of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. IF one boba drink is worth that to you then this location is the place to go, otherwise reread the first line. I was incredibly disappointed by this as this has been my first bad experience with the Kung Fu Tea chain as a whole.

Great bubble tea and a really clear menu when it comes to labelling allergens. This location is always running out of something, it seems like. So be flexible, try something new, and if your first choice is out, ask for a recommendation in its place. The staff are great about it. The shop is loud, so don't plan on hanging out for a while without headphones.

Drinks are great but the costumer service is terrible!!! When I say Hi or Thanks to them, they never respond me! And the cashier is yelling sometimes..

The tea is very good but I was here the other day and there was one staff member. I waited in line for 20 minutes and then waited 10 more minutes for the drink. Please get more staff. Again, the tea is very delicious!
