Kung Fu Tea is part of the oriental restaurant Kenko, Japanese name for “health”, which is a great concept, it is “fast food” so you can have a healthy Teryaki bowl, or sushi rolls, sashimi/niguiri on the go, and also can choose an endless variety of bubble teas, coffee and other tea flavors. The amability and prompt service are definitely the five star I’m giving to this place. Nancy was adorable and nice, and wanted to get my name right (Graziella, italian) and she was attentive to the end to spell it right to place my order. Limited seating but fresh and has great light.

Google
It is one of the best boba tea I have ever had in Cleveland ! The shop is little too smelly but I really enjoyed the tea. They have good range of flavors in tea and bubbles! Little too concentrated in strawberry lemonade. But I was really impressed and definitely would go again for boba tea.

I never heard of this restaurant before, but ended up ordering a drink online while I was waiting for my food at Capos to be prepared. I’m not local to the area, so I wanted to maximize my food experience and ordered the Thai milk tea. The online platform allowed you to not only order your drink ahead of time, but also customize your order. Without knowing anything about this restaurant, I ordered my drink with light ice, sweetness was a 1, and I didn’t add anything to it because I had no idea what would be good. I was able to pick my drink up earlier than the order stated, so it was ready quickly. It unfortunately wasn’t what I expected, but it wasn’t horrible either. It was not sweet at all, which was fine because I didn’t know how to gage the sweetness level when ordering. I’ve had authentic thia tea many times and this tasted like black tea with milk in it vs what I am used to. I’d like to come back and try something else I would probably ask for a suggestion from the staff so I could find a popular item or a good combination of a drink and add ins.

Obviously its great my mom even likes it an she low key afraid of sushi. 10/10 will come again it's the same always. Good music but one worker was just yelling and cussing the whole time I ate.

Google
Its in the same resturant as Kenko sushi. They have a nice selection of drinks. I tried the peach oolong tea, and the honey milk oolong tea. Not bad! I just don't like the parking situation. Other than that..... nice spot for different unique favors.

Boba tea here is just decent, ordered extra sugar but didn't taste it. Both my daughter & i thought our drinks were Kinda watery.. I used to think it was the best till I tried others. Step your game up.

It's good to have stations where you can place your order at your own pace. I wanted to have a hot drink, but somehow, I couldn't choose "hot." My order took so long because of that and I felt sorry for the person behind me (only one station was working). I asked the staff how to choose "hot" and he said they did not serve hot drinks. What a disappointment! Their service was slow. I could say it was the slowest bubble tea making I have ever experienced. Also, they did not make our drinks correctly. I suspected that they kind of mixed up different directions for the two drinks we ordered. All in all, the drinks tasted good; their review score is not high for nothing, I suppose. Their service, on the other hand, was less than average.

Yelp
I've been to this Kung Fu Tea location a number of times between 2016 and 2019 and always found it to have some of the better boba in the area, not quite matching shops in the Bay Area and Socal, but close. As we were driving through Cleveland, we decided to stop and get a drink. Oolong Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.60) - The tea was way oversteeped, resulting in a very roasted, almost burnt taste. I asked for half sweet, but the sweetness level came out at around quarter sweet if compared to other boba shops. The boba was not good - I could tell it was honey soaked, but it was not cooked nearly enough. Quite hard and not a great texture. What happened to this Kung Fu Tea location? It used to be so good and now it's very mediocre. Then again, this might be a company-wide issue with Kung Fu Tea. Since the pandemic, I've been to multiple locations and I have not been impressed with any of them. I definitely do not recommend this place. I might have to swear off trying other KFT locations too given that it seems like their tea and boba is consistently disappointing.

Yelp
Terrible service! I've been coming here religiously every week for the past 5 years. I'm a loyal customer - still treated like trash. My drink was ready for at least 10 minutes (having ordered ahead of time on the app, which btw only works 1/2 the time). Both the cashier AND the bubble tea maker had AirPods in. I told the cashier I was waiting for a to go drink - zero communication with the drink maker, who I later noticed had my specific drink sitting in front of her already. She said ok and went back to her business. I wait another few minutes giving the tea maker the benefit of the doubt (sure - maybe she is just busy), but after that, I asked over and over again is that my drink. She either CHOSE to ignore me, or didn't hear me because of the AirPods. I yelled, I waved. Nothing. Finally the cashier noticed I was causing a ruckus and told her to give me my drink. Never again Kung Fu Tea (or Kenko) - you've lost out.

Yelp
Kung fu tea is a solid bubble tea spot by uptown. I've been to many different locations across the United States, and they're usually a dependable place for bubble tea, though the quality is pretty variable because of the franchising. This location in particular makes solid bubble tea, though my biggest gripe is that the wait time is always very long. Even when I order ahead, I feel like I end up waiting there for 15+ minutes just to get bubble tea. My go to bubble teas here are the winter melon milk tea, the oolong milk tea, as well as a variety of the fruit teas.

Yelp
I went to visit Kung fu Tea for their special edition Kirby (Nintendo video game character) drink. Unfortunately, this location was all sold out of the drink? I was visibly disappointed and the front counter girl asked if she could make a recommendation for me to try, so I accepted. She recommended Winter Melon Tea, and I actually really enjoyed it!! As you can see from my photo, I was still followed by the Kung Fu Tea Kirby advertisements, even with my alternative drink. Upon waiting I sat down for a bit, but I will say this location was not very clean. You could still see crumbs on the counters that had a bit of sticky residue. Not the cleanest joint, probably going to try somewhere else. Also, I just want to mention parking is a nightmare AND it is paid parking. It's located behind the building, and I paid through and app, and still had to walk to the building. Overall, not worth it.

Yelp
It's been 10 minutes, and I'm DUE For another drink from Kung FU So now I'm going to rap for YOU And if it really sucks, just BOO So if you and your bf are THROUGH And you need something (someone) to DO Let me show you how my legend "GREW" And all my urban myths are TRUE Be glad your sister never KNEW What we did, or she'd want me TOO So do me like they do the DEW And I'll stick atop you like GLUE There is no taming of this SHREW I'll be the driver, you the SCREW You the river, me CANOE Or you can be Barbie's sexy SHOE Me Roger Daltrey, you the WHO You Chinatown Houston, me LOU Me dictator, you my COUP You Nepal, me KATHMANDU You 80s radio, me CUTTING CREW You a doctor's office, me the FLU You the Synagogue, me the JEW You the toilet, me the POO Wait, what Anyway Those boys will have to join the QUEUE And wait until I'm done with YOU You'll bounce like a KANGAROO Cause we're lovers, not fighters like FOO And when we're done (in a day or TWO) After I've made your kitty MEW And after I've finally WITHDREW Then it's time to go to Kung FU! WHAT My most recent trip, I brought the goddess for the first time. It was windy AF outside and awful walking in - and out - of here. But once inside, Barbie and I had a nice experience at this KFT and she really enjoyed her lemon black tea thoroughly. What we didn't enjoy was being abused by the employees at the Courtyard around back when we were leaving. This KFT has nice decor as well - and good service. But not always the best service cuz some of the late shift employees were a little standoffish about it being closing time (10 mins before, actually), and they closed the front door (locked it), pointing us to the back which actually ended up being more convenient for the parking lot, but still it's pretty bad customer service. But now for all the good factors - starting with the drinks we love. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! My earlier assessment (pre-bringing Barbie here) was even more glowing: This is one of the best Kung Fu tea locations I've ever been to. Yes they have their issues - sometimes their equipment doesn't work, and it can make some of the employees a little bit down on the place, but what they don't realize is that they are working at one of the best locations there is, all things considered. The owner also has a spot which is similar, but much shinier and newer (but similarly challenging to park at) down in Kent at Kent State Uni. Employees here were great to me. They are super friendly and super nice and they make their drinks exceptionally well. The Boba is perfect in texture and has that lovely sweet KFT taste. The lemon black tea is literally one of the most enjoyable versions of this amazing drink that I've ever had. I would put it straight into my top five KFT locations in the country. I should have tried it sooner and will definitely come back whenever in Cleveland. On the negative side... Wait times can be long, parking is a nightmare, but then when you're the only good bubble tea shop in the whole Cleveland area what do you expect? Edit: Since that glowing review, I've had the trip with Barbie, which was more mixed, but I'd still put this place as one of the top 10% of KFTs I've been to - and I've been to a hell of a lot. So if you think your life is now over And your gf won't let you disrobe her And you ask what I think Just come get a drink Kung Fu's Lemon Black Tea with Boba!

Yelp
We discovered this chain whilst in Minneapolis, and were delighted to see one in Cleveland. They make delicious, creative boba tea. Pros: Kung fu has options! I went zero sugar and low ice, and was so happy. The staff are friendly and fast. The boba drinks are delicious! There is beautiful outdoor seating. Cons: Strong smell of bleach. While I'm glad they clean, it was difficult to be inside while they made our drinks. I cannot imagine eating in. It is located in one spot, together with a sushi place. The signs outside don't really tell you that, so we were looking for another door (and, when inside, trying to see where to order). I didn't see any drink specials, which, given our extremely positive experience in mpls, left me disappointed in potential. Overall: deliciousness, but get it to go.

Yelp
I've Been coming here for years . Service has been good . But recently been going down hill . Don't know if it's the workers but walk in about 30 minutes closing for a quick boba . They said they couldn't make anything but 1 certain milk tea . Its crazy . They should just lock the doors if they don't want to work

Yelp
This Kung Fu Tea location made a smart move to open the location here. University Circle is the only part of Cleveland that actually has an existent Asian population. Kung Fu Tea is inside the same building as Kenko so they can cash-in money from the Asians and the part of the population that loves Asian fusion. Unfortunately this Kung Fu tea location has one of the worst drinks I've tried from all the Kung Fu Tea locations I've been to. The drinks a flat-out too sweet. Usually when I order a 50% sugar drink i can actually taste the difference from the regular sweetness drinks. Not here. The drinks are sweet, sweet, sweet, and sweet. No depth of flavor from their milk tea. Just syrup. The population of Kung Fu tea is almost entirely made of Asian students. And non-Asian students from Case Western. Shockingly no parents with kids because parents usually like taking their kids out for a sweet treat on occasions. Anytime is a good time to visit Kung Fu tea. The line moves fast since there's a electronic device that you can use to order your drinks and customize them. The only aspect you can't customize is sugar for some odd reason. The only times you want to avoid Kung Fu Tea is during a Kenko lunch rush and a weekend afternoon. The people from Kenko also go straight for bubble tea if they want bubble tea with their food. So you may run into some confusion if there's a line for Kung Fu Tea and a line from Kenko as well. Parking at University Circle sucks. You'll have to park further away from Kung Fu Tea. I suggest you park at the garage on Bellflower road then walk to Kung Fu Tea. The ambience of Kung Fu Tea is pretty great when an excess of university students aren't around. The shop is cozy, quiet, and has comfortable seating. The lighting is a dim yellow that doesn't strain your eyes too much if you plan on studying.

Yelp
Inside this Kung Fu tea you can also get to Kenko. There are two restaurants that you can go to. one to get bubble tea and the other one serves you rice bowls. The rice bows you can pick two meat and three vegetables. The ingredients are fresh. And the size of the bowl is party. Parking is minimal in the area and it can be a little sketchy at night. Attached are pictures of both places.

Yelp
I am out of town and came here for tea for the very first time! Wow! What a horrible service with first impression. 3/26/23, 8:15pm. No one in line for drinks, but only for food. Ordered 2 drinks. Waited about 15 minutes and realized the black guy who made the drinks purposefully made drinks for other three other customers who came after us. Last time I'm going to this place to avoid employees who worked there. I regretted giving tip for horrible service. 1 star for service and 3 stars for the drinks.

Yelp
Kung Fu Tea is one of the few places that offers boba (bubble tea) in Cleveland, and I definitely find myself here when I'm craving boba! I usually get milk tea with bubbles when I come here (oolong, black, or green milk tea), but I've also tried their pomelo and grapefruit teas. This place conveniently shares the space with Kenko and offers food, such as teriyaki bowls and sushi, so you can grab a meal while getting your boba fix! The restaurant is pretty spacious so you can usually find somewhere to sit pretty easily. The employees I've encountered here are also friendly and efficient! Overall, I like Kung Fu, but I am from CA with so many more options for boba and unfortunately, Kung Fu is just not one of my favorite boba places. The milk teas taste too milky/creamy for my preference, and when I order them less sweet, it just tastes watery (rather than having a strong tea taste, which is what I prefer). Also, the parking lot behind Kung Fu is paid, which is also not ideal. Despite this, Kung Fu Tea is still a decent option for bubble tea in Cleveland, and I'm sure I'll be coming back!

Yelp
Finally!! A place with REAL, authentic tasting bubble tea. I love that they have a quick to-go station for people and love that you can customize your tea to a large extent. I find that a lot of bubble tea places in Cleveland are extremely Westernized: tons and tons of sugar. Here, I got to pick 50% sugar as part of my order options and it came out PERFECT. Highly recommend doing the coconut milk tea with the bobas. I will be back!!

Yelp
For milk tea on the east coast, Kung Fu is pretty good - you can customize sugar and ice levels like at typical milk tea places, and there's a pretty solid selection of teas. I tried the oolong milk tea which had a good tea taste, but definitely not as strong at other tea places back in CA (yes, I know holding it to CA standards isn't quite fair, but I can't help it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Boba (which they call "bubbles" here haha) was pretty well made, very chewy the way it should be. And no skimping or extra charges when you ask for no ice - so that's definitely a plus. Staff was friendly and made sure to confirm my order. Also, it's connected to Kenko (build your own sushi roll!) and there's lots of seating with outlets. Great for chilling, hanging out and/or studying/working!

Yelp
I'll start by saying that overall, I'm a fan of KFT. They're one of the only places in Cleveland Heights that has consistently good boba, and that should be commended. That said, here's the full list of pros and cons: Pros: - The app: It's easy to order ahead on their app, and even if you don't order ahead, you can pay via the app in store. You also have the ability to order food from Kenko through the KFT app, which makes ordering food and drink super easy. The app rewards are pretty frequent, which is a bonus. - The flavors: they have a huge variety of flavors, which is super nice. Classic teas, milk teas, slushes, and everything you can imagine. They have a wide array of toppings, and I really appreciate that you can customize not only ice levels, but sugar levels as well. - The boba itself: like I said before, other boba in the area is of questionable quality, but I always know what to expect with KFT, which speaks volumes. Cons: - The timing to order pickup: No matter when the app estimates you'll get your order, it's always at minimum 20 mins from ordering and 5+ mins from the stated time on the app. If you know this, you can plan, but still. The store has tons of employees, but only 1 or 2 are ever working the boba side of things. - Crowding: OMG this store really makes me feel claustrophobic. Because many people are typically waiting, the store gets packed and there are no measures to keep people socially distanced. Also, it's super confusing to try to figure out where to order and where to pick-up online orders, and there are tons of chairs and booths in the way that obstruct the flow. Plus, they've blocked off their extra space, which makes everything even more crowded. For this reason alone I really considered giving them 3 stars. TLDR: Pros are great tasting tea and an easy to use app, cons are long waits for tea and wayyyy too many people allowed in the store.

Yelp
Imagine having to drive over 40 minutes and pay for parking to get a decent cup of boba. Every ABG's nightmare. But that's what you get in this neck of the woods. This establishment shares space with a build your own sushi place. It's nice that you can adjust the sweetness and ice level here. Other than that, there's nothing much to write back home about. Their KFT milk tea with Oreo, barely had any Oreo taste to it and their Pomelo tea was grossly bitter and filled with undesirable pulpy scraps. The more recent location in Fullerton does a better job, despite being from the same franchise. Since there are no other competitors within a reasonable radius, this is the best that it gets.

Yelp
I had their Passion Fruit Green Tea with Mango Popping boba. I had 50% sugar and lite ice. It took a surprisingly long time to get my drink, which is why I recommend ordering online so you don't have to wait. When you first walk in, there are two lines. The one on the right near the two kiosks is for ordering boba tea and teriyaki while the other line is for everything else. I went to the kiosk and ordered my boba tea. (Very easy interface). My name was called and I was pleasantly surprised with the taste! The popping boba is my all time favorite thing so I was pumped to have gotten that and the actual tea was perfect! My friend had their Taro Slush and WOW way too sweet and the boba was just a little too chewy for my liking. I'm curious how their food and other teas taste... Definitely join their rewards program!

Evelyn M.

Yelp
Awful service. The place was filthy, the employees were eating and talking on the phone with friends while preparing drinks. We waited about 10 minutes for one boba drink with the only people in the restaurant being myself and 3 other people. Avoid this place at all costs.
google avatar

Erika M.

Yelp
I just went in for the tea, I do love and hate coming to the part of city. But you have to be lucky to find parking without paying. Also cops drive around checking you paid. Going back to tea after finding parking. I'm from California so I've had many boba tea since I was younger. I do love Rose milk tea. So I ordered but they informed me that boba peals were no longer available for day this was at 4. I was disappointed because that part of getting tea. I did substitute for herbal jelly, so I do recommend with rose tea. The tea it self I'm sorry to say it wasn't real rose flavor.
google avatar

Faith K.

Yelp
The restaurant its self is in a nice good area. But the workers were kinda rude and impatient. This particular drink is the Oreo wow milk tea and honestly it tastes like straight up milk and soggy Oreos with a little boba. There weren't really descriptions but the pictures looked amazing. If you really like the taste of tea this isn't it. Plus it just wasn't worth the money.
google avatar

Yelp
I think it used to be decent, last time I tried it though the bubble tea was not good. I think I ordered Winter Melon tea with pearls but the pearls were not that good and the tea tasted very artificial and sort of tasted chemically. If you are a true bubble tea expert and connoisseur you will agree with me, or maybe they've improved since I haven't been back for a few years, so I guess you can try it if you're desperate but otherwise probably go somewhere else.
google avatar

Henry L.

Yelp
Kung fu tea has all your basic needs in boba and is open pretty late which is a plus. Overall the tea itself is not authentic authentic, but does the job and their menu does better in their sweet drink varie-tea (ie milk teas and toppings) - I usually get their honey oolong milk green tea. The boba is surprisingly chewy, and flavorful. The only drink I'd warn against is the rosehip which is more like an artificial fruit punch than anything else!

Michael T.

Yelp
Disappointing! The bubble tea was average, but the service was horrible. If it was only one employee I wouldn't even bother with a review, but all three of the front-end staff I interacted with (all I did was order, pay and get my order) just seemed like they hated being there and they wanted you to know it. There were six or more people working there and only four customers at the time, and it seemed like there was little to no desire to help anyone. Yikes.
google avatar

Lindsey S.

Yelp
Love all the options for tea. Bubbles are still my favorite but all the varieties I have tried have been pretty awesome. I also like being able to order on a tablet, I can take my time and it seems like less pressure in case I want to change my mind at any point. This tea is my pick-me-up anytime I am feeling low.

Vik R.

Yelp
they spelled my name as "dick" even though I said it was "v-i-k" also their tea sucks
google avatar

Craig O.

Yelp
The Honey Milk tea is phenomenal! I did ask for a lot sugar and it tasted perfect. Please don't hesitate to try this place. You won't regret it. I promise.
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
these bastards are lying about what time they are open, it says open until 8:30 online and open until 9PM monday - friday on the mf door and the lady wouldn't let us in and said they were closed at 8PM on a wednesday. sick fucks wasting my time
google avatar

Ellen Y.

Yelp
I really like the concept of ordering on the iPad system as you walked in. It meant minimal human interaction, which is awesome. I'm just kidding, but I really liked how you can specify exactly what you wanted in your bubble tea. I got the Toro with Boba, with 50% less sweet and less ice. It took them about five minutes to process the order, even though there was nobody in front of me. Once I got my drink, I realized that the drink was very sweet and I probably could have done with even less sweetener. Or they forgot. Either way, I was not impressed by the amount of liquid in my drink. The top 1/6 of my drink was foam.
google avatar

Jamieleigh W.

Yelp
Too many options maybe? Not getting the orders right maybe? I ordered through their kiosk thing and it did not work out in my favor. I tried to keep everything normal sweetness across the board for accuracy but that did not work out. We tried mixing teas to make them less sour, more sweet... we bought 4 and struck out of all of them. It was sad. The service was very... distant. I had to pick it up and run (drive) otherwise I would have sent 3 of 4 back on the spot and chalked the other into just not liking that flavor.

Shelly T.

Yelp
I have to say I was very disappointed in my drink. They weren't able to provide regular boba, which wasn't a big deal but they told me they ran out of regular boba after I paid. The drink literally tasted like watered down cold tea with milk. My coconut milk tea wasn't very good for what a milk tea is supposed to be and wasn't even good for a regular tea. I do NOT recommend this place for those who are true tea lovers and milk tea lovers. I will not be returning back here for the drinks.
google avatar

Helena H.

Yelp
Great sizes and super customizable!! Every flavor is so good of boba! Haven't tried to food yet, but everything looks amazing! It kinda has a process of ordering like you do at chipotle! Wish they had more popping boba then this place would be heaven!
google avatar

Kate A.

Yelp
I called to order my drink because I knew they were closing soon. I was told that they "don't take phone orders 5 minutes before closing." There's no parking in the area, which makes me wonder how people can go there in the first place. I finally got there at 9:01 and the doors were already locked. I drove 10 miles because I was craving boba, but I'm glad I didn't have to waste money here. This review is not for the boba, but for their customer service.
google avatar

Benson K.

Yelp
I find it interesting that Kung Fu Tea is a separate listing from Kenko, considering that Kenko is basically the establishment that sells Kung Fu Tea. Regardless, as they are listed separately, I will give a review for just the bubble tea. When I was initially recommended this place last year, I was admittedly skeptical. I was never that big on bubble tea, but I knew quite a bit about Asian cuisine in the Cleveland area, and I had not heard of this place. My friend told me she loved the bubble tea here, but I was not a big bubble tea drinker at the time, so I gave a good but not excellent review of Kung Fu Tea. Now that I have sampled a few more boba places in major cities and returned to this location several times, I can unequivocally say Kung Fu Tea is the best place for boba in the Cleveland area. As far as overall bubble tea in the northeast Ohio area, only Ha!Tea in Kent offers comparable competition. This is the only place in Cleveland that has such a wide variety of flavors and customization options. For me, being able to halve the amount of sugar used is a huge benefit, as I find most sweet teas to be way too sugary by default. The ability to use other additives besides boba (such as nata jelly and mango pudding) is great too. When it comes to things like dessert and bubble tea, I rarely tend to get the natural default flavor. While I didn't think the standard milk bubble tea was anything exciting, I very much enjoyed their other unique flavors, such as oreo and black sesame. I will admit that this is one place I've returned to on more occasions than I'd like to admit, which is why I am bumping my rating of Kung Fu Tea from a 4 star to a 5 star.
google avatar

Salina T.

Yelp
I love bubble tea and of course KFT is no exception. At this location, everything tastes great and they make the bubbles just the way I like it! Coming from the East Coast and having had KFT almost every other day, I'm sad to say they don't do punch cards here. Also one thing to note that I've noticed is sometimes they tend to run out of toppings, so have a backup in mind! I also minus'd one star because this location obviously has a monopoly in this area so they're bubble tea prices are insane- like I just paid $5 for one cup. I hope with the increasing prices they're giving a relative raise to the employees. KFT- Kung Fu Tea
google avatar

Erica N.

Yelp
I was at first a little intimidated when I first went inside Kung Fu Tea, but I loved how easy the process was. Unless you want sushi, you order your food and drink at the computers up front. The first time I went here, I got a lightly sweet Thai bubble tea. Maybe I just don't like the flavor of Thai tea, but it was not a favorite. The second time I went here, I got a lightly sweet taro bubble tea. Hands down one of the best bubble teas I've ever had. I'll have to try their sushi and teriyaki bowls when I can. I'll be sure to come back whenever I'm in downtown Cleveland!

Yelp
This is a standard Kung Fu Tea but it can be improved compared to some other Kung Fu Teas that I have been to. When I asked for less ice during one of my orders, the drink came with barely any ice and it all melted within a matter of minutes. The next time I asked for regular ice, but there was still barely any ice. The boba is also too sweet. The teas are great, though -- right on the spot.

Yelp
I've been going here for what feels like forever now. Have yet to try their overpriced surritos. Their poke bowls are now bigger and better, which is great since it comes out to $10-11. Drinks can be ordered on the iPads as soon as you walk in to make things quicker. I've been visiting more often in the past months and for some reason their boba and teas are tasting of lower quality than I remember. The milk teas have too much milk or their tapioca pearls would be too sticky, clumpy, or bland. Today was a bit better though! It's probably due to new staff who are being trained since they're always so busy and need more hands on deck. Kungfu Tea, you are still my go to!

Yelp
Alright, is it just me or have the drinks at Kung Fu Tea gotten worse recently? During my last 2-3 trips here I have been highly disappointed each time. Today I got my go-to drink, the green milk tea with bubbles. The drink is usually green whenever I order it but mine had no color to it this time. It tasted watered down and the bubbles were mushy. My boyfriend's taro milk tea also tasted weird and artificial. Kung Fu Tea used to have amazing drinks so I'm not sure why the quality has gone down so much. Totally not worth paying $5 on a drink anymore.

Yelp
Well, I've been trying to get rid of this listing because Kung Fu Tea is basically part of Kenko, but Yelp won't take it off for me. So now I need to review this too. I don't have much more to say that isn't in my review of Kenko. This is a chain that is very popular on the east coast and has finally, at long last, made it to Cleveland. Heard they are going to have one in Columbus too. It's bubble tea, as authentic and "legit" as can be, that fills a 7 year bubble tea void that I have had in this city. For those of you who might be visiting from San Francisco (not that anybody would), this Kung Fu Tea is much better than the one in San Mateo. For those of you who haven't tried bubble tea before, it's basically flavored tea (or plain tea), usually mixed with milk, and with sweet, chewy bubbles ("boba") on the bottom that you eat with your tea. You get a big straw to suck up the bubbles with. If you are trying it for the first time, I would suggest getting just the regular Kung Fu Tea (not the flavored stuff), with bubbles, 50% sugar. Quite honestly I usually go 25% sugar because bubble tea with full sugar can be cloyingly sweet.

Yelp
This place is SLOW! I just wasted 35 minutes trying to get boba and left with NOTHING. Maybe I'm too used to boba shops on the west coast that take 5 minutes max to make your drink. But I think wherever you are, anything over 15 minutes is unacceptable. However, if you're in Cleveland and craving boba, this is unfortunately one of the only options. If you do have the patience, the boba itself is mediocre to decent (which is good on the Cleveland Asian food scale).

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place since there aren't many boba places in Cleveland. Unfortunately (call me a snob), but it's obvious to me that they're using tap water for the tea and it just ends up tasting really bad. If you get milk tea you probably won't notice it, but I usually get it without milk so I do notice it :(

Yelp
I came to get a matcha boba tea and was really disappointed for the amount that they charged $5.25 I expected something edible at least. I've never had to leave a bad review anywhere before but this tea was terrible. It left a mealy film in the mouth, was grainy, tasted like chemicals, and was somehow extremely sweet and extremely bitter at the same time. If you do chose to try it definitely stay away from the matcha boba.

Yelp
Waiting line is long, poorly organized and crowded during COVID. They ran out of certain toppings and certain drinks. I ordered a Lychee Black Tea instead and the concentrate/powder mix ended up sinking to the bottom and was poorly mixed. Boba was not bad.

Yelp
I've came multiple times to try new things and each time i didn't enjoy what i purchased. Boba flavoring was not very good and caramel milk tea had a funny taste but Pineapple tea was very good would recommend .

Yelp
Unbelievably slow service... We waited almost an hour for 3 bubble teas and nothing else. And they were watery and didn't taste great. This is a complete waste of time and money to go to. It would be faster to drive to Asiatown from university circle, order, eat, and come back before you get your drink. Do not recommend at all.

Yelp
This place seemed great since it's one of the only options to get boba in CLE but I ordered ahead of time and waited 20+ additional minutes for my TWO drinks. They didn't let me know that they were making fresh boba which made it longer. There were about 6 of us waiting and we were all extremely frustrated.

Yelp
Oh bubble tea, how I missed it! Easy to order, friendly service. And YES, Delicious bubble tea!

Yelp
For the love of boba KFT has arrived. The thoughts of excessive calorie count dissolves as I sink my teeth into the perfect chewy consistency leaving only a sense of contentment, satisfaction and BSB ringing in my ears. "You are... my fire, my one desire"

Yelp
This is really surprised me when I found this place in Cleveland! Super friendly staffs, you could find the best bubble tea here. It tastes the same as I got before in NYC. Drive 25 mins to get here just for a bubble tea,Highly recommend. But the drink is always too sweet for me,so don't forget to ask 50% sugar if you don't really like sweet.

Yelp
I didn't know if they did something wrong but it was SO SO sugary. Never trying Kung Fu tea before, I thought a 100% sugar level would be okay but oh my gosh It tasted like straight up syrup when I got the Winter Melon Green Tea classic version. I even added milk to it in the car and it still was too sweet. WORD OF CAUTION order your teas with half sugar level :(
