On rainy day Thursday afternoon 4/20, the store was not busy and I was greeted by a "reluctant" employee at the cashier and she didnt make me feel welcome.
I ordered 2 drinks - Yogurt Green Tea, which uses the probiotic benefits of Yakult, and Rosehip Milk Tea. Since the drinks were on the "way" too sweet side and super water down, I asked if I could have more yogurt yakult for Yogurt Green Tea and less sweet. For Rosehip, I asked for less rosehip powder so it won't taste too sweet. She gave me that annoyed look first but agreed to add more Yakult and strongly said No to changes I asked for the Rosehip drink.
To my surprise when the drinks were ready, she said very loud, scolding manner almost, in front of the other customers who were waiting "Next time, don't ask any changes to the drinks, you will get us a trouble!"
What the heck just happened?! Kung Fu Tea as a food & beverage provider, the customers are not allowed to make any adjustment to our order and get a "slap on the wrist" in front of other customers??
Talking about being flexible in the food & beverage industry, it is expected for customers to request any adjustments. It could be less this, add more that, change this, remove that and so on. Had she told me to add more money for extra yakult, I would be willing to pay extra. Also what a worst customer service that was!!
If you go to Starbucks, Jamba Juice, or other boba stores, they would be happy to make any adjustment to the customer's liking and still provide an excellent customer service.
If you are new/ first time and certainly know you need to make any adjustment to the drinks, this is NOT your store. Save your time and money, find other better boba stores who have better quality and better customer services. Reading from other reviewers, apparently many of the drinks weren't adjustable in this store per their corporate policy, also their customer service and drink quality were not great as well.
I recommend to try Bubble Crunch, T4 Tea House, Boba Tea House, Mo Cha Tea House.
