Kung Fu Tea Sterling Heights

As a parent of a Boba obsessed tween, I'm always visiting new places for us to try. Kung Fu Tea, in Sterling Heights, was mentioned consistently by friends as a place I needed to check out. We happened to be in the area recently, so we made a side quest. Kung Fu tea is a smaller shop, tucked amongst a few others in a small strip mall-like complex. Parking was easy with a decent amount of available spots. The shop itself has a beautifully kept interior, comfortable and clean. The menu is large and clearly visible, with smaller versions available at the register, there is a mini claw machine game, and tons of inviting spots to sit in while you wait for your order. The menu has plenty of drink options, with crystal jelly, Boba, bursting pearls, fresh fruit chunks, and more, to add as preferred. I felt there is a little something for everyone. Our drinks were prepared quickly, were fresh, fair priced, and super delicious. Really glad we decided to pop by.

My daughter and her friend are obsessed. They got a Snackle Plush that has a Capybara holding a Kung Fu Tea Boba so they wanted to check it out. Now we cant stop coming back. The staff is friendly and efficient. They have a huge variety. Such a cute atmosphere.

It was our first time at this location and upon entering, the establishment was well-kept. The server was really friendly and patient with us as we were contemplating what drinks we wanted. I decided on the strawberry lemonade with yogurt. Although the pairing sounded weird, I was surprised at how pleasant the taste was. My bubble tea only costed $7 which is the norm these days at any bubble tea establishment. Overall, I would highly recommend Kung Fu Tea if you are in the area! Great service and great boba:)

I love all the decaffeinated options, and the fact that they designate decaffeinated on their menu! My kids are obsessed with bubble tea, so I'm always looking for places with fruity options for them. They also had a winter melon milk tea that is to die for 🤩 plenty of room to sit and chill, if that's your thing. We will definitely be back!

I visited this place after trying Kung Fu tea in another state, i tried several flavors and was so excited to see it close by. I ordered Oreo milk tea, it was horrible, there was hardly any Oreo and warm wow bubble were not warm. They definitely need a refresher on how to make these drinks. My first and last visit here! Anyone planning to visit Please try Tiger sugar, Vivi bubble tea or onezo.. anyone these options are better.

Always busy here. Had bubble tea from many places and Vivi Bubble tea is my fav. The pudding add-on consistency is not as soft as other places. Boba bubbles are fresh. The 2nd and 3rd pic are of “Wow Milk with black tea” not sure why it separated, but they said it’s cause the black tea. Nice and big set up inside. Nice menu but they don’t have as many options and flavors as Vivi bubble tea

Best boba EVER. like seriously i can’t explain to you how much i love this place. EVERY time i come here i NEED to go to H Mart and then go get boba from here. it’s a ritual at this point. never stop making boba i love you guys.

Great bubble tea. There are variety of tea items they offer. I got mango with mango jelly. The drink was very good and not too sweet. Just the way I like it. I would come here again and try out the other flavors like passion fruit, Sesame and matcha. The offer three different sizes and the prices range from $5+ the service is also very fast. Definitely worth the visit

Decent boba spot! I've been here multiple times with friends and family. The service and vibes are good. My favorite drinks are the Cocoa Cream Wow Milk Cap and Thai Milk tea. I've also had other drinks like the Mango slush, Mango Green tea, and so on.

Woah, for once an actually legitimately good Kung Fu Tea franchise post-Covid. I had almost written off this chain but decided give this location another try for the St. Patrick's Day special. I actually have in my history that I visited here on three separate occasions, once in 2019 (pre-pandemic), and twice in 2020 (post-pandemic), with some scathing notes stating that the boba was rock hard all three times and giving the place a tentative 1/5 score. I remember back on my very first visit the place was completely full with customers sipping on drinks and hanging out in store. If I remember correctly, this was the only second wave-type chain boba shop in the entirety of Metro Detroit at that point in time, so it kind of made sense. For my most recent visit over the weekend, this Kung Fu Tea location, now with way more competition, seems to be primarily a takeout shop. I ordered via the app, expecting that the drink would be ready by the time I reached the store. When I got there, I found out that apparently at this store you still have to notify them before they start making the drinks. It only adds an additional 5 minutes or so, so it's not really an issue. Regular Pistachio Almond Slush ($5.95) - We just got this to try it out since I had to buy two drinks for the deal. The strong artificial almond flavor really punches you in the face, while the pistachio quietly dances in the background. Otherwise, it's a pretty normal slush texture. The sweetness is on point at 100%. I personally wouldn't get this again because there are other drinks I prefer, but I think it's a perfectly drinkable cold treat. (3/5) Regular Matcha Milk Strike, Large, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Brown Sugar Wow Boba ($7.40) - I originally ordered the sesame matcha, but the store was out of sesame mix so I had to change it to the normal matcha. The matcha here has the distinctive kind of grassy and earthy flavor of a culinary matcha, which is appreciated given that some other places use an almost flavorless green powder in their matcha drinks. The drink feels thick and creamy even though there's no milk cap on it. Again the sweetness is perfect at 50% (I'm surprised that the app didn't allow me to adjust from 100%, but I asked the owner to tone it down the 50%). The boba, which is very inconsistent between locations, is actually pretty good here. It's soaked in a brown sugar syrup, giving it the characteristic brown sugar taste, and allowing the exterior to generate a bit of a sticky texture. The chew is just a bit too hard, but overall it's the best I've had from KFT since the pandemic began. (4/5) Bathrooms - One unisex, pretty spacious, bathroom in the back. This was the only good experience I've had at a KFT since 2019. To be honest, I don't think I would go here again, but that's because there are other newer boba shops in the area I prefer. It's still a solid, albeit not outstanding, shop to visit to quench any boba craving.

Came here with my brother during their Peach special. I ordered the leading lady and peach showstopping milk tea. If you irder two of peachs drinks you could receive the little peach bag and the atraw cap but you have to ask for it. When we ordered they were trainig a new employee and our drinks came out quickly. The atmosphere is casual and a hang out spot for everyone. Theres two swing chairs, tables, and window seating. They do have some games to play as well. The leading lady was good and slushy/icy drink.

I'm so glad I found this place. I'm a huge milk tea with boba fan and I really miss all the shops back in California. Upon entering the place is cute with plenty of tables to sit and relax. There is a huge menu available upon entering the shop. There are so many different options you can pick and choose from. Overall, the shop was clean and inviting. I decided to try the WOW Oreo per the cashier's recommendation since I can't have caffeine while I'm pregnant. There was a huge order ahead of mine and I thought I was going to be waiting for my one drink for a little while they accommodate the large order, but I was wrong. We probably waited no less than 5 minutes until my number was called to pick up. I could feel the warm dark sugary boba at the bottom of the cup. It was so good. I love that the chunks of Oreo weren't too big that couldn't get through the straw. Bonus for me at least, the milk wasn't too sweet which was perfect because the brown sugar boba was incredibly sweet already. The boba was cooked perfectly, not too chewy, or undercooked. I can't wait to go back and order more from their menu. The options are endless.

Great spot for boba! I visited Kung Fu Tea several times during my stay in Sterling Heights. The drinks were ready in less than 10 minutes of ordering, and so far all the ones I've had here tasted great! Kung Fu has a vast selection of drinks. I mainly order the Thai Tea but most recently, I tried the Longan Jujube Tea. It was flavorful!

This Kung Fu Tea is one of the better locations out there. They are consistent, friendly, and their mobile orders are always ready on time! I definitely recommend using their app for rewards. It's also easy to use and you can view the menu at your own leisure...no more panic ordering at the counter. My new favorite is their Black Tea Wow Milk Cap (earl grey black tea with brown sugar bubbles and a creamy milk cap) - medium for $5.17

I do enjoy this place! The slushy's is a must try especially the strawberry! I love the seating here! They do have normal chairs and they have chairs that swing from the ceiling it's a pretty cool little place!

Taro& Coconut milk teas must try!!!!! The Caribbean slush must try (add mango jelly and clear boba) and WATCH OUT!!!!! The service is always on point they suggest different drinks to try. It's a cute spot to hang for a sec and have some cool drinks. Will DEFINITELY be back!!!!!!!

This is by far the best bubble tea I've had. As always, I test it out by ordering Taro and Thai tea. It tasted amazing; fresh and full of flavor. I really only like the tapioca boba so I got them both with that and the regular amount of sweetness. Man this was so good. I hate that it's not very close to me, but I'm signed up for the rewards so I'll have to make my way back here occasionally. If I had to pick a winner, I'm going with Taro all day.

KFT was the first big boba chain that opened up in the Metro Detroit. My friends and I went nuts with excitement when this place first opened several years ago. I'd say this KFT location is probably the best KFT I've tried, but it's still not great for boba, in my opinion. For quality boba, I'd definitely go somewhere else, but overall, the drinks here are solid for KFT. I come here for the location and interior. It's big and spacious, great place for meeting with friends. There's also games you can play and it's also opened later than other boba/dessert locations. Today, I got the sesame original milk tea with boba with 0% sugar. I'm not a huge sweet tooth, and KFT soaks their boba with honey. However, I found this drink much too sweet. The sesame probably has sugar in it, so RIP. This drink felt more like 50% at most generic boba places. Overall, I give this place a 4/5 because it's the best KFT I've gone to. Good memories made here and it's very convenient.

Great milk tea in my book. Sundays are super busy but you have the option to order from the kiosk if you don't want to wait in the line (card only). Variety of different customizable drink combinations. They serve food too , which I have yet to try.

First time ordering online. I was able to walk-in and pickup my order early. They wore masks and hand sanitizer was available on the counter. It was a great experience as the staff were friendly and patient in answering questions about the different menu items. I ordered a large original Kung Fu tea with Boba, 70% sugar, & light ice. Totaled about $6.36. It was refreshing on a hot sunny day! Thanks Kung Fu Tea!

Time for some kung fu passion fruit slushy, medium, added bubbles and mango popping bubbles. It's busy here. It's next to the Korean Chung Ki Wa. These places do well next to Asian restaurants it seems. Thirsty after a MSG heavy Sichuan meal at Trizest. They have these shaking machines do all of the work and shake up the drinks thoroughly. They have a deal today, if you buy two, get 1 for free, but download the app. It's pretty good and the bubbles are soft and chewy, just the way they should be. It's arctic cold and refreshing too. They have these fun and cozy hammock chairs, 3 of them. 2 chairs by the front door and lots of seating and tables. A long felt backed bench along the wall. I like the bright red wall, it's perfect color and goes well with the kung fu tea theme.

This joint is instagram famous. Yea, I've seen their chain from the east to the west coast. Trust me, I have friends all over the world. Not just the states. So instead of doing cakes or pastries for desert. We chose these fashionable drinks. I went with the Taro Milk Green Tea + Kung Fu Technique = Awesome! This place isn't just straight up gimmicky. It's got the gusto to back it up too. My beverage was totally mind blasting!! I'd totally order it over and over and over again. Thank you so much for reading my review. Best bubble tea in Detroit area beside Tao & Mai. The place is clean and comfortable. Many selection of flavor and they also serve macaroons. I only had the normal milk tea with aloe jelly. It's not just sugar and milk, you actually can taste the tea in it. Tao& Mai has stronger tea flavor but whatever, this is Detroit. It is not too sweet either. I also try the macaroons, I don't know if they are handmade or not, probably not. $2.50 a piece but they do have extra creme than regular. The green one I got starting to get dry already so it may not be as fresh as a bakery. So it's up to you. Key thing is their milk tea is good

LOVE Kung Fu Tea. If you're looking for variety in tea combination and jelly/boba combinations, this is your place. One of my coworkers comes by here almost every day and he's always raving about this place. So I knew i had to come try it out. I ordered the lychee jasmine green tea which comes with lychee jellies. It was absolutely delicious. The second trip I tried the mango jasmine green tea with mango jellies and it was even better! This place has been packed both times I've came and I can see why. It's hip, got a good vibe and the drinks are delish!

Wow, at last an authentic bubble tea place this side of Michigan! Hidden away in a small strip mall, easy to miss. However it's clear that word had gotten out as a steady flow of customers were coming and going to Kung Fu tea. They have a pretty large menu and plenty of topping choices, including red bean and green bean. Also love that they have seasonal specials. I tried the pumpkin oolong milk tea and it tasted better than I had hoped. The bubbles were sweetened with a fragrant type of honey syrup and nice and chewy. Speed wise they could use some improvement though, as it took over 10 minutes for my one tea, even though there didn't appear to be big orders before me. Price-wise, perhaps because I'm used to Cali prices, $4.25 for a medium bubble tea feels rather pricey. Worth it to splurge for a good tea though.

My last update I gave them a 3 star after my orders have been messed up way too many times within a year and the tastes were hits/misses. But the last few times I've had great experiences and the drinks were well made and hit the spot. I've been coming back here way more frequently these days for my daily cravings. RIP to my wallet, but at least my stomach is happy.

Best bubble tea in the metro Detroit area! My go to is the mango slush. It has a great fruity flavor with mango lychee and black bubbles. I like how you can adjust the sweetness level. The interior is nice with lot of tables and board games you can play. Also I recommend getting their app to get rewards and $ off your purchase.

I've tried several of the bubble tea places around town and I'd have to say this is probably the best so far. The teas are just right, not bitter or too strong, and they are generous with the add-ins. The prices may be slightly higher but worth the consistency and quality of the drink. Unlike all the other nearby tea places, this place also has seating, kind of like a coffee house feel inside with a few comfy chairs along with regular chairs and tables. The cushioned bench seating against the wall however needs some serious steam cleaning as there are visible stains all over the seats. Other than this it's a place to hangout comfortably and even has a bunch of board games from which you can choose.

I wanted to take off my pants, but I didn't, because then it would've been Hung Fu Tea. What to get: Lemon Black Tea, Any other fruit tea with black tea, Hot Milk Teas. I didn't smell any cow poop while in here. Otherwise it'd be Dung Fu Tea. But my drink did fall in the toilet, so there's that. This is a delightful and brand new Kung Fu Tea location which was originally supposed to be the very first KFT in the state of Michigan. Due to various holdups a different KFT opened up in East Lansing, but this is the first in the entire Detroit metro area, and it has been packed out the door on all of its opening days. I was able to visit three times during my week in Detroit and I really like this location. I stopped pretending to be a turtle when ordering here. Otherwise it'd be Kowabunga Fu Tea. The plus side is that they make a good lemon black tea with good tapioca. They do not have a credit card minimum and it's a very comfortable place to hang out with a lot of friendly people working here. I didn't need major surgery while in here. If I had, it might've been Collapsed Lung Fu Tea. A few issues to iron out which is part of the learning curve such as running out of tapioca and not taking credit cards but I'm sure that will be solved very quickly. I don't perform music in the bathroom anymore. Otherwise it'd be "Sung Fu Tea." The only issue I would see being a reason why I would not give it 5 stars is that they are one of the many locations (about 50%) that will not give me black tea instead of green tea with the fruit drinks such as Orange, Very Berry, and Pineapple. I prefer black tea and I love the Very Berry or the Orange made with black tea. It's very easy for them to do but they're not supposed to do it due to head office regulations (pathetic decision by head office, they've gotten so many low-star ratings from me because of this). Roughly half of the KFT locations will gladly do it. The other half will not. This is one of the ones that told me very definitively that they will not. I hope they will change this policy. Because it's a policy that gets them less business. I was asking what kind of beans they had one time. The girl was like "what is this, Mung Fu Tea?" Also, the owner told me the scores of the World Cup games that I had DVR'd (lol) so then I didn't bother watching them. But he was a super friendly guy and had no idea he was messing it up for me. It's my fault for mentioning soccer when he asked how I stay in shape (flips hair). I asked them both "what is the past tense of I Bring Kung Fu Tea?" They incorrectly responded "Brung Fu Tea." I will still give 5 stars because I really like the products and the owner is awesome. And everybody working here was really friendly. But if they're still unwilling to adjust my drink next time I come in, it may end up having a lower star rating. They should read this and think about that policy. Half the KFTs in the country will do it for me, and they're not getting in trouble over it. Some rules are meant to be broken. I asked one of the many server girls that I love, here, on a date. But then I found out how old she is, or isn't, I should say. So we had to cancel. So it's "Young Fu Tea." And I keep seeing girls (and boys) (older than legal age) in miniskirts in this location. Now I know why they call it "Sprung Fu Tea."

YAS. I am a fan of Kung Fu Tea because they have various locations throughout the midwest & they're reliably tasty. The last time I had boba (or bubbles, whatever) milk tea was during my trip to Taiwan in May. I usually come back a boba snob because it's hard to complete with BMT from the source, the motherland. But, I opted for the Oolong Milk Tea with Mini Bubz. If mini boba is an option, always get the mini boba! It's a little less overwhelming from a chewy texture perspective than the normal sized boba. Also, it's less likely to be "stale." If you haven't had it before, it's kind of like the tapioca you find in tapioca pudding. Even though I got half sugar, it was still a little too sweet for my liking so 25% sugar next time. Regardless, Kung Fu Tea is a fantastic place to get your BMT fix! 189/365

One of the best boba places in Michigan! Yes, I said "boba" and not "bubble tea." I'm from SoCal, that's how we roll. There are some pretty good boba places in SoCal, but Kung Fu Tea is the best. The boba here is always fresh, soft, and just a little bit chewy. The boba even has a bit of that green tea taste to it as well. Honestly the best boba I've ever had. I usually don't like too much boba in my drinks, but I want as much boba as I can get at this place. Best drink I've had in this place is the Wow Milk Oreo. The milk they use is Lactaid. I'm lactose intolerant, so this drink is perfect for me. I can just chug down this drink without having to worry about my stomach hurting. As far as customer service, they're friendly, and they crank out drinks really fast. I like the shaker they have in back, the machine moves really fast in a circular motion, ensuring the flavor is evenly distributed through the drinks. When pouring the drinks, they also put the liquid through a strainer so you get more liquid in your drink, and less foam. When I get drinks at Starbucks they always have too much foam in the drinks, so you're not getting much liquid in your drinks. Anyway, I strongly recommend this place, as their drinks are top notch!

I've had Kung fu tea many times in New York and Ohio. Also once as the east Lansing location. So so so happy there is one right in metro Detroit now! I feel like staff still needs to improve a lot. They're super nice but the overall workshop needs to be better. They seem to still be in training. But they did just recently open. My friend got me bubble tea here very recently and they ran out of their own bubble tea straws so they used the basic bubble tea straws from the Asian mart. I was a little sad bc I got mini boba and didn't want to use the normal bubble tea straw. The drinks are all the same. They do service shaved ice it seems like. Since they have a poster of it. Will need to get that one day! I also feel like advertising needs to be better. Overall I will be a regular customer. I always stick with my trusty almond milk tea with 70% sugar hehe.

We stopped by here tonight kind of spur of the moment, I saw they were open until 10pm and we were already out seeing a movie that got out around 9:30pm. Definitely download the app - I downloaded it a few weeks ago to check it out, and you get a $4 credit towards your first drink. I got a large Kung Fu milk tea with mango jelly (which ended up being similar to lychee jellies) and my boyfriend got a large Taro milk tea, with boba. They have a huge menu and it was hard to decide what to get; I originally wanted a Thai milk tea but they were out of it. You can add your credit card to the app and the $4 credit will apply to your first drink, mine ended up being about 80 cents after that which is an awesome deal. The place was super crowded at 9:30pm on a Saturday, but it looked like they had lots of board games and other games like Jenga. I'd like to go back during the afternoon when hopefully it's not as crowded and maybe stay and play games - this time we got our drinks to go. I'm excited to finally have a good bubble tea place in this neighborhood, though! Bubble Island in Ann Arbor is my all-time favorite, and the tea here was similar to theirs - and a lot closer to my house. I know Kung Fu Tea has locations all over the U.S. but I believe this is the first Michigan location, as well.

Kung Fu Tea is finally here. This is a huge "milestone" for Michigan's asian desserts to come around. I have been waiting for this. QUICK history... Kung Fu Tea was only seen in cities like Chicago, New York, or Toronto but FINALLY it is here! WHOO Service: The service is good but don't take it personally if they seem busy bc they have to make the drinks and serve to a huge line ! Food/price: I feel the demand for bubble tea is big so the price is the typical 5 dollars. For newbies it is worth and there are 'addictions' to these drinks but sometimes it can be a hit or miss :) Audience: FOR EVERYONE Recommend/tips? Go early or morning if you do not want a long line. It gets​ busy later in the night. PRO TIP...caution you can choke on a bubble!

This place is super cute! The milk teas were delish and perfect amount of sweetness. Their cups are unique with a larger half and narrow bottom. Boba was perfect chewiness. Will definitely return if in the area.

So yummy that I'm already craving more!! This is by far the best and most authentic boba place that I have found so far in MI. I heard that it was good, but I didn't realize that it was amazing! I was craving boba after my workout. From the moment that I walked in, I could already tell that it would good based on the fact that I had to ask for an English menu. I'm guessing that the one they had out was in Chinese. The workers clearly knew what they were doing and all of the customers at the time didn't speak English so I knew that it would be good! I ordered the Kung Fu Milk Tea with bubbles. A really nice older man gave me my drink and I took one sip and fell in love (with the drink). I didn't adjust the sweetness and it was the perfect amount. Not too sweet. Also, you could watch them create it in front of you (unlike some other boba places that have it pre-made in a fridge and it tastes like condensed milk.. this place is actually nearby.. lol) I would definitely return. I wish I didn't like it so much because I'm craving it already and I will probably crave it daily, but I'm sure it has too much sugar (although it didn't taste like it). Super kind and helpful staff, amazing amazing bubble tea. I'd really like to try some of their other items. They have soo many and so many different flavors. I love it! I want more!!!

Thank goodness this opened!! I was beginning to lose hope in having great boba in Michigan! I've been to their location in Chicago and have always liked their drinks. Is it the best boba I've had in my life? No, a couple of places in the Bay Area will forever have my heart! But it is by far the best I've had in Michigan! My friend and I came here after dinner. There was a bit of a line but it went by pretty fast. I was so happy to be able to customize the sweetness and ice in my drink. I ordered an oolong milk tea with boba and my friend just ordered an oolong tea. When we got our drinks both of them were oolong without milk. I told one of the staff members and she immediately took it back and made me the correct drink. They were very very nice about it and super friendly! Will definitely make the trip for Kung Fu Tea again.

Absolutely love everything here! From the coffee drinks to the sweet lemonade drinks. Everything is so tasty. They have non diary coffee items too! I've never been disappointed. The staff is always super nice too!

I was having lunch in the area and decided to check Kung Fu Tea off my list. I ordered a large Kung Fu milk tea with the Oreo mix in and served cold. The drink was good but very overwhelming with the Oreo. I definitely should have chosen something else to mix in or just had a plain milk tea. I'll return and try other options.

This place is so packed they have kiosk that you can order yourself love it plenty of room to sit down atmosphere is great and they have a tone of options and new items on the menu

Love this place and has all these choice that intrigue me to come back. However, they could not mix my tarot and coconut together. Cannot always have it all. The place is cool to just hang out and chill with friends. They have a bunch of seating plus games. The location for this place is perfect as it is next to a Korean bbq. So go there for lunch or dinner than come over here for dessert. I recommend this place to people who want to try bubble milk tea.

Place an order in 15 minutes ahead for 2 drinks. I came in and waited another 10 minutes patiently, after a little i asked " is Nicoles order almost done only because i have to be somewhere" the lady responded yes still working on it and i said thank you. The short guy no taller than 5'4 wearing a hat handed me the drinks and responded " next time don't rush us" not a professional response and also very slow service. I told him he was silly for that and he responded calling me silly. Definitely need somebody a little bit taller working there he has short man syndrome

If you like bubble tea, you'll like this place. It's fun for adults and kids! I had the coconut milk with mango jelly and it was great! I love that you can customize your ice and sugar level....and it's still tasty! This has become my go to bubble tea place!

Overwhelming amount of choices for the bubble tea lover. Great space to meet some friends or to get some studying done. It can be a little loud though- bring some ear plugs if it bothers you. The tea is pretty good - its known to be on the sweet side so a friend told me to get it less sweet. But honestly I would have added a little more to my thai tea. The bubbles were fresh and soft. Would definitely come back again to try another flavor.

This place is my favorite in there area. I may be addicted to their oolong year. This place is not a powder bubble tea place. I am hooked on their oolong tea. You can customize the sugar content so that you can have less (which means more bubble tea visits for me) and they have the best options and flavors imo.

Awesome bubble tea shop in the most unassuming area. I really thought I was driving to the wrong place when viola! there it was.i wanted to try this place after one of my students brought me a drink to class and it was so good, I had to scratch the itch. For a random weekday afternoon it was very busy. There were high school aged kids hanging out with friends enjoying a drink over some board games, some families and lots of people waiting for drinks to go. While it was busy, I probably only waited 15-20 minutes for my drink. They have a rather large drink menu with tons of options from fruity to sugary sweet. They allow you to customize in my ways including toppings and sugar level. I had a mango milk tea with no sugar and it was perfect. I appreciated being able to control the sweetness as I opted for my sugar in the form of a macaroon instead!

Before I moved to Detroit, I lived in Houston, TX. Which, in case you don't know, has its abundant share of milk tea shops. When this place opened, merely weeks after I moved here, I just knew it was meant to be. I'm actually quite familiar with this chain, and I can say with confidence you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. But here are a few of my personal favorites: 1) Yogurt lemonade: hallelujah for this drink. I had something similar in Asia and fell in love. It will change your perspective on life. It is refreshing and it actually makes you feel healthy. I like to add pudding to this. But because they put so much of the pudding in, I typically just get it without. Yogurt grapefruit is an alternative to this and is equally as good. 2) Wintermelon green milk tea: the perfect package. It's got the caffeine from the green tea, the milky flavor, and the unique wintermelon taste. Also, with the cold Michigan winter, this is a great drink to get hot. 3) Wow milk series: the brown sugar is on point. It's different and is quite popular in Taiwan right now. I think the milk is fresh milk? Not too sure. So if you are allergic to milk, this might not be the best. (I believe the milk tea series is made with a non-dairy creamer.) As for sweetness, I never adjust the sugar level because I naturally have a sweet tooth. But you definitely will have to find your own balance. Last but not least, the people here are the best. Everyone is so nice and always makes me feel right at home. And with my frequent trips here, it pretty much is my second home. All in all, if you want authentic milk tea, this is the place to be.

Taste ok, but price is much higher than other tea shop and service is so so , environment is so so

Menu: I love this bubble tea place. They have a huge selection, flavors and types of teas to choose from. I in particular was fascinated by yoghurt drink as this is not something I have had before so I had to get this. I had the yoghurt lemonade and the yoghurt orange. My favorite was the yoghurt lemonade. It was a yoghurty drink with the aroma of lemon. Service: the guys working were super nice and would answer all questions. Some of them did lack knowledge of what they were serving. But overall service was nice. Atmosphere: other than the delicious drink, the thing that sold me was that this is a perfect hangout place for friends. You could also bring your work here or study here. It does get slightly loud in here though. Would I come back again? Heck yes! There's likea ton of other drinks I need to try.

One of the best bubble tea places I have been! Every flavor I have ever gotten is so good and the staff is always friendly! The place is always super clean and organized.

We went back for a second time this week. The owner was super helpful helping my husband find something that he would love. Hubby was looking for a tart lemonade. The owner recommended yogurt lemonade. It was so good. It was tart and sweet. My daughter and I are addicted to the Oreo Slushes with coffee popits. So good.

Best bubble tea place! Very good environment. Really good bubble tea! Fast service! Got both the taro (0% sugar) and the original (70% sugar), and they are amazing! The staff there are super friendly and helpful! Let them know your sweet level and they can give you recommendations of sugar percentage! Would definitely recommend here!

My favorite boba chain! I have tried kung fu tea in 3 separate locations and each one has the same great quality. My favorite is the taro slush with half sugar. it's such a great after meal dessert. There's so many ways to customize it but I love that i can ask for less sugar, and choose which kind of bubbles/jellies I want. I used their reward program for the first time! So download that and you can get $1 off your first order with it. It is your standard price for bubble tea so expect to spend about $5 for each drink. It is super busy and the wait time was much longer than any other bubble tea place I've gone too but it was a weekend afternoon so it might also be hard to find a table if you wanted to stay.
