"Even Peter Chang, the legendary former Chinese embassy chef whose family has opened eponymous restaurants selling Sichuan, Hunan, and Hubei specialties across Virginia and Maryland, has been affected by a coronavirus scare fueled in part by xenophobia, racism, and panic. Yelp
I haven't been to Rockville town center for a long time, I was surprised to find the restaurant was changed to a new name and new decor, possibly new owner. I still decided to give it a try. The service was pleasant, the decor was bright and uplifting. There were outdoor tables also under the colorful lanterns. The price was a bit higher than other Chinese restaurants nearby, but the food was good. I plan to go back and try some other d We ordered: 4*Bubble pancake: it's the signature dish, really delicious especially with the sauce. 4* Beef Tendon with Tripe 夫妻肺片it was a cold appetizer. It was spicy and good, but the portion was rather small. 5*Dragon Eggplant 鱼香蟠龙茄子: the portion was big, and eggplants were skillfully cut into a linked chain that was arranged like a dragon. It had a bit sweet and spicy flavor. 4*Chef's new recommended dish new complex duck 新式复合鸭: I was used to Peking duck. It was like that and pretty good. But it was still new to me. It would take a while for me to get used to it

Yelp
Previously Peter Chang restaurant, this new branded restaurant seems to have kept the same menu. I was told by the waiter that the chef is still the same one. We tried a few traditional dishes on the menu, and I have to say the spices are definitely there! For brown sugar rice cake, the rice cake texture was not as sticky and smooth as it should have been, and the dipping powder was interesting with spices instead of just sweet sugar. Maybe because it is an appetizer, not a dessert. Service was good except we waited a bit long for main courses to come. However I will have to say the lunch menu prices are VERY reasonable. Maybe it's the grand opening effect?

Yelp
In the old "PF Chang's" space in downtown Rockville. Ambience and decorations are amazing. Staff is super friendly. They make accommodations to items on request. Indoor and outdoor seating. Wheelchair accessible. The food - not bad, not great, but all good. HUGE portions. Decent prices. But apps and main dishes delivered person by person across many minutes of time, so our group of five didn't really "eat together." The option is politely wait and eat cold stuff, or watch others eat and then they watch you eat. The apps are AMAZING. Spring rolls and steamed dumplings - very delicious. The main meals - not bad at all and huge portions, but not packed with flavor that is typical of Chinese food. Still - we enjoyed it all. They have lunch specials and dinner specials. Note that things like "rice" with your dish are a small but extra fee. Will likely go back and try again sometime.

Yelp
So this place was a Peter Chang restaurant. Now, it's a newer and better and tastier restaurant called Kungfu Kitchen (new owner and management as well). The taste and price of the dishes were really good. $176 post-tax, pre-tip, for five entrees and four appetizers is a steal! House special broiled branzino was excellent. For $45, you get a humongous fish with a generous amount of veggies and potatoes in the broth. The taste was superb. The other entrees were delicious as well. The two children chomped on the rice cake and pancake dishes. So I missed out. But judging from their fervor, the dishes had to be good! The Dan Dan noodle was probably the only dish that did not hold its weight. It was alright at best. The menu is extensive and we've only scratched its surface. We'll definitely come back for more!

Yelp
Got a quick take-out order from the new Kungfu Kitchen restaurant that just took over the Peter Chang location. The two soups - hot & sour and wonton - (each $3.50) were delicious. The hot &sour was spicy and peppery and had nice chunks of tofu and water chestnuts. The wonton soup had a nice amount of scallions and the wontons were flavorful. The shrimp dumplings ($14 for 6) were disappointing. Specifically, the dumpling wrapper was really tough and chewy at the places where the wrapper was crimped. It was difficult to eat and unpleasant. The dumplings did come with a good sauce however and the shrimp inside were good. I don't know if this was a one-off or this is how they usually come, but they were disappointing. I would have created a new Yelp entry for KungFu Kitchen and posted this there (I don't see a Yelp entry for KungFu Kitchen in Rockville), but I don't want my 3-star review to be their first and only review based on my limited visit.

Yelp
This is the old Peter Changs undergoing a change in management. In reality, it's the same chef since 2021 who's an apprentice of Peter Chang's. But that means you can't tell the difference in quality of food, because everything is still there and tastes great. Ambiance is much more modern and clean, which fits with my taste better. Prices though are through the roof, so if price is something you value the most, don't come here.

Debbie O.

Yelp
Something has changed in the quality of food here and I'm not sure why. We recently visited and got what has always been our favorite dishes and the taste was different and not in a good way. Later on during dinner I became nauseous and had to stop. I hate to see such a community staple lose its touch but this isn't the same Peter Chang we've known.

Sajid B.

Yelp
Better ambiance and service than ever before and the same delicious food that we have gotten used to over the years! I came back to my favorite haunt from Detroit and at first I was worried after seeing the old signage removed but there's absolutely nothing to worry about... 5 Stars!!!

Yelp
This place change name from "Peter Chang " to " Kung Fu Kitchen ". The new decoration is so nice , but the price is really good, don't even mention the food , really traditional Chinese food. I love to come here. One best restaurant in Rockville!!

Myra M.

Yelp
I always considered anything that Peter Chang runs as one of the top for Asian food. However, a few months ago-- I had the misfortune of ordering carrying out food that was a total waste. I specifically asked the person on the phone about the spiciness of the hot and sour soup and she said it can be not spicy. I also told her than none of us can have spicy food. Two of the other things we ordered was so spicy that we couldn't eat it. It was so disappointing because we took the food to another couple's home and we couldn't eat anything except the white rice. The following day, at around noon, I called to complain and was told that it was too late for me to get refunded because I didn't call right away. I was told the soup is premade and is spicy! Not according to the order taker. She said, "she's new!" After complaining about this, the girl said she would do me a favor and replace whatever was spicy if I went to the restaurant that day.. which I wasn't going to do because the place is about 20 minutes away from us. Anyway, I ended the call saying that people who take orders should know their dishes well and that they should really take note of spice preferences when people SAY their preference. I definitely was disappointed by their response and don't think I will patronize Peter Chang in Rockville again!

Yelp
We were a party of six and we all loved everything. The new look is light and bright. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. We had the fresh shrimp dumpling and scallion pancake appetizers. Our server, Ricky, told us the shrimp takes approx 15 mins to prepare. So it came with the other dishes, as we requested. And he kept the hot jasmine tea pouring throughout the meal which we greatly appreciated. We ordered the shrimp w asparagus and mushrooms, kung pao chicken, stone pot seafood curry and vegetable fried rice. The portions were generous and the price was appropriate. There was enough left for another meal or two. We thoroughly enjoyed Kungfu Kitchen and welcome them to the neighborhood.

Yelp
So I hate to write bad reviews, but this is a warning to others who may have had good food from here in the past. It's bad now. Really bad. Overly salty, but no taste in one dish. Another dish had a raw piece of beef - not intentionally rare, just raw (and the beef quality was very poor to start with). It also had lots of sugar added to the sauce which didn't make sense for the dish. Egg drop soup had lots of yellow food dye added. Low quality dumplings in wonton soup. It's sad to see a restaurant go downhill. Waitstaff also dressed strangely inappropriate for a family restaurant. All around weird vibes. I highly doubt the legitimacy of recent positive reviews. I think they have to be friends or family, or just paid reviews. Edit: I am modifying my review to two stars only so it doesn't become non-recommended (where all the other one star reviews are).

Varsha D.

Yelp
Peter Chang's is great. The restaurant has changed now so I haven't been to the new location in Gaithersburg. Love the Hot and Sour soup, the eggplant dish, the chicken and beef dishes. Tasty food!

Ron G.

Yelp
Wife and I went on a Friday night. Service was a tad slow. We ordered our usual items from the old Peter Chang menu, crispy pork belly and sweet and sour chicken. Those were perfectly fine. I also ordered what I thought was diced beef with peanuts. I got something that didn't taste like beef and had no peanuts. Turns out it was hot and sour chicken gizzards. I asked the server if it was the beef, she said it was. The bill came and confirmed my suspicion that it was not what I ordered but was the chicken gizzards. I didn't eat more than two bites. Turns out there is a disconnect with the menu and the POS system as the menu number says beef but the computer tells the kitchen to make chicken gizzards. Asked the server to take it off the bill as I didn't get what I ordered. She said she couldn't but told me not to tip her instead because she would be forced to pay for her mistake by the restaurant. Terrible company policy. Not returning here. I'll go to the real Peter Chang's restaurant instead.

Vicky L.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a few years now and our go to is the hot & sour soup, fish or chicken (hunan chicken, hot and numbing combination, house special flounder fish). This place's food is generally more spicey but never disappoints!

Margy C.

Yelp
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic flavor and food! For the longest time I confused Peter Chang with PF Chang. They are not the same. I also opt for Cantonese before Szechuan because the latter tends to have more spicy dishes. But there are certainly many non-spicy dishes on the menu of Peter Chang and his other restaurants. After having such a difficult week, we decided to go out for dinner to end on a good note. I will always start with the famous bubble pancake. My mind is still blown on how it's made. Someone please allow me into the kitchen to see. Please? And you have to eat it with the curry dip. The pancake may have been enough for four but between the two of us, we did pretty good. We got three entrees of seafood curry, basil eggplant, and black pepper beef. The seafood curry was the same curry as the pancake dip so when we ran out of the dip, we started dipping the pancake in the seafood hot pot. The seafood curry was my favorite of the three that we ordered. The black pepper beef was too peppery. The basil eggplant had a great basil flavor. Peter Chang has mastered the flavors of his dishes. It was such a wonderful culinary experience. We had so much leftover, that there will definitely be enough for tomorrow's lunch. I plan to put ramen in the seafood curry. There was a lot of sauce left that will make a good "soup" with the ramen. Parking: There is plenty of free two hour parking in the nearby garage. Service: Fantastic. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. Not sure if they take reservations because I didn't see any option to do it online. We didn't have a problem just walking in on a Friday evening around 6:00 p.m. The restaurant did get busy after that. Our server was attentive and checked in on us a few times. Decor: Lovely decor overall. The booth that we sat in did have seats that were tattered. Might be time to do some minor repairs to spruce it up. But don't let this affect your experience of the great food here.

Yelp
2nd time ordering delivery just in case things changed in a few years. Won ton soup looks watered down & sparse wonton in it. But person eating it said it tasted good. Maybe some MSG? It was hot, so there is that! My chicken lo mein was so oily greasy that eating 1/4 of it caused GI upset. The chicken in it was very scant, and on par with the size of chow mein hard crunch noodles you can buy at the grocery store in the can. I am amazed they can get the chicken pieces so miniature. I've never had such an anemic low mein. Mostly onions in it. Ugh! Spouse's spicy Hunan chicken was too greasy & salty & didn't taste like Hunan chicken! He loves Hunan chicken & we get it at all the Chinese restaurants but this dish was thrown out. So was mine. I'm sick from it. The steamed white rice was good.

JJ L.

Yelp
Great food and friendly staff ! If I want to treat my friends for Chinese I would come here , not the best authentic Chinese but it's pretty decent.

Hilary T.

Yelp
Peter Chang has been making good to great food all over the DMV for years, including this Rockville location. The lunch option here is a fantastic deal, with an egg roll, soup, and a big entree for $12 - 15. The hot and sour soup is the best I've had, and the sauces on everything are excellent, especially the hot numbing sauce, but even something quotidian like my recent lunch order of chicken and broccoli is elevated by a thick, rich sauce. The pan-fried pork dumplings are a great appetizer, too, with (surprise!) two excellent dipping sauces that elevate an already flavorful, perfectly seasoned dumpling. The best dishes here are not on the lunch deal, and again, anything with "tingling" or "numbing" is a sure fire winner. Rockville has so much good food it can be easy to overlook this place, but can confirm it's still excellent, years on.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This is a great spot for Chinese food. I came here because a friend had recommended it to me. I really liked the bubble scallion pancake. It was crispy and the sauce that came with it was good, it had a curry flavor. The dan dan noodles were ok. It was spicy but didn't have as much flavor as the other dishes. I liked the pepper beef, the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The Peking duck was also good. I liked the sauce and the wraps that it came with. Overall, I had a good meal here.

Yelp
Had taken takeout from Peter Changs a month prior to visiting the store tonight for an in-house meal. In our $150 take out order we noticed upon arriving home (20 minutes away) that they had forgotten to include the 5 orders or rice that we had paid for. And yes, rice is not included in any entree from Peter Changs. The manager could not have been more apologetic and offered us a free entree upon our next visit, fair enough, everyone can make a mistake. Upon explaining the situation to the manager this evening, she said she could only offer to pay for the rice for tonight's dinner. She was looking at the cost of what we originally didn't get, not the inconvenience of 3 couples eating chinese food with no rice. So we finish our meal, the bill comes and the rice has been charged for. Our waiter brings this up to the manager who says she will take off 1 order, that's $1. None of this is about the money, obviously. But the manager had no concept of customer service or making something right. Very disappointing. As a side note they charged us $2.75 for fountain sodas and our refills where charged at full price. Needless to say we won't return as customer service and customer satisfaction is of no concern to this restaurant.

Yelp
Our local Chinese take out is cheaper, fresher and tastier. We expected more from a sit down restaurant. I was surprised how small it is inside and it looks outdated. Definitely needs an upgrade from furniture to food. I'm usually not worried about old furniture but I always expect that food should be good when dining in. This was first and last time. Reading other negative reviews, I agree. Food quality was really bad and it's not cheap. Example pork buns is more buns than pork. Spring roll wins prize for smallest spring roll. Nothing seems fresh. Server was OK and she did her best. When you leave and can feel you may be feeling unwell, you know that's a sign not to return. Thanks Peter but no thanks. Even fortune cookie had some mould or something on it. Good news is my cookie fortune said I'm going to meet a new best friend!

Jimmy L.

Yelp
Not sure why this place got just 3.5 stars. The food at Peter Chang is always good. Portions could be a bit better, but taste wise the food is always delectable. I tried the pork shank December special, and it was amazing! The meat was super tender, and at $16 was a terrific deal! My go to starter is the spicy fried eggplant. That never disappoints. Make sure not to get it to go, as it will get soggy. The bang bang shrimp was tasty, and goes good with rice (not included). Personally, I'm not a big fan of Peter Chang the man, since he defected and is now taking in millions. It's like illegal immigration doesn't apply to celebrities and good chefs. But the food, I must say, is tasty!

Mekare G.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed in the taste of food. I ordered lo mein and fried rice and they just tasted like oil. No seasonings, just rice and noodles tossed in oil and put in the container. On a positive note the pricing and portions were great. I just wish the food lived up to the reviews.

Matt O.

Yelp
I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and the pork dumplings for carry out, the food is amazing! The inside of Peter Changs was nice as well. Definitely going back for a dine in

Kyle C.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Peter and company never fail! They have added a few new items and we tried them. No regrets here.

Joel H.

Yelp
Service is always friendly and professional. Made to order AMAZING food. Period. Stellar flavors and depth. Soup dumplings are not to be missed!

Aijamal A.

Yelp
Eh I don't think I'd come back here. Went for lunch , food wasn't the first but I could tell hot and sour soup and Kung Pao Chicken felt very jelly. Also it would be nice if the waitress learned how to hold the dishes and didn't dip her thumbs in our soup or rice. Ambience is average , your typical Chinese restaurant, nothing new.

Joyce K.

Yelp
My family unknowingly arrived to Peter Chang just an hour before it closed, so all the dishes we ordered came out really fast. We got the scallion bubble pancakes, half chang peking duck, basil eggplant, golden mountain beef, fried rice with shrimp, and salt and pepper shrimp. All of this didn't fit on our table so the waitress kindly pulled up a chair to put the Peking duck on. The scallion bubble pancake was very interestingly puffy, but it was quite bland without using the dipping sauce and needed more scallions. The Peking duck wrapper was more wet and sticky than we liked, and the food was generally oily. However, the golden mountain beef was interestingly crispy on the exterior and the fried rice was particularly good.

Rasheq R.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing I love this so much because of the authenticity and the overall flavor

David C.

Yelp
I am so done with this place. After too many bad experiences I abandoned it, tonight I decided to try again. We ordered 2 dishes - tofu skin w cabbage and mapo tofu. The tofu skin was ok, nothing special. But the mapo tasted like it was made with rotting dishwater. I'll even eat bad MaPo - but this survived 2 bites before I tossed it. Avoid at all costs.

Ludwin R.

Yelp
We stopped by to have dinner here again and this time was even better And to top it off my friends liked it so much they pay for dinner ,we are definitely coming back and also we are bringing more friends Thanks .

Richard M.

Yelp
A real gem in Rockville. Even with the highly Americanized nature of the restaurant, the food was surprisingly authentic. Definitely try the Peking duck and the puff pastry. Service was quick and efficient. Really enjoyed the experience.

Ben F.

Yelp
Food was good, but one star taken off because the Chinese waiter with the glasses should be fired. He only served Chinese-speaking customers while we were there (I watched the whole time we were there and am Chinese-speaking myself but didn't get served by him), and he chewed out the other waiter in front of the restaurant, sarcastically asking him, "you speak English, don't you?" He was also very rude to a security guard who came in, getting his order wrong and was condescending to him to the point that the security guard left his money and the food and walked out. It was incredibly uncomfortable to witness. As someone who has worked in hospitality before, I'm appalled by how he treated the waitstaff and the customers. He definitely needs to learn how to properly conduct himself in the hospitality industry, and he is giving Peter Chang a bad image. On the other hand, the younger waiter with the curly hair is much better, does a great job attending to the table and making sure that everything is satisfactory.

Raj S.

Yelp
Nice place good food in a very nice neighborhood. They are known for spicy food and has three different levels of spice . Well to me find a true spicy food is hard as I had to add their red pepper sauce to my dish . But the food was really tasty . I had double cooked spicy pork belly and it was very well cooked with lots of flavor . I was immediately seated upon my arrival. Everyone is very polite and helpful . Parking is hard to find on the street but I was told they have a parking on the side . Will be here again to try the seafood .

Otto G.

Yelp
The food was great, especially if you are a fan of spicy food. Dined in on a Monday evening and it was not very busy. The service was fast but a bit too rushed and the we had to remind the server to bring some items we previously asked him for earlier. Not a big deal but you may want to be prepared to get asked a lot if you are ready to order when you are not quite ready yet since the menu is pretty extensive. One of our main dishes was a Double Cooked Pork Belly - it is sliced thin and served with scallions and was very nicely prepared and tasted great. Highly recommend especially if you are looking to eat something that is mild - seems like most things on the menu are fairly spicy, I suppose it is a staple of the Sichuan style cuisine. The other main was this Diced Beef with Peanuts and Chili Peppers. It was served over an edible bowl that was wafer-like, at first I thought it was potato but it was more like a flour based shell. The spice level of this dish was very high and the spices used make this a drier dish compared to other things I have ordered. It was pretty intense but I liked it but if you do not like spicy do not get this, and have water ready if you do. Other than the service being a little too rushed for my liking, I enjoyed eating here and look forward to coming back to try more stuff.

Meghan F.

Yelp
Went here for lunch on Valentine's day with my sweetheart. We were seated immediately and ordered the luncheon specials. Hot and sour soup was excellent. Kung Pao chicken was also very good. Their food is very spicy which I like, just a warning. We plan to come back again in the near future.

Cathy M.

Yelp
its ok, but I'm deducting two stars because: 1) too much msg 2) the Wuhan reganmian sadly wasn't authentic at all

Gloria L.

Yelp
I went to Peter Chang's in Rockville last night, and as usual, the food was delicious! The Dry-Fried eggplant really hit the spot. The flavors burst in your mouth but they aren't so overpoweringly spicy that you need to wipe the sweat off your face. (Just the way I like it!) We also had the shrimp with walnuts small plate order, which was tasty but perhaps a little too much sauce on it. (I prefer less sauce and should've mentioned it when ordering.) And for our main course, we had the Seafood Curry Stone Pot. This bubbling and boiling pot was loaded with curried fish, shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, and baby bok choy. I couldn't stop eating it. The ambience of this restaurant is good for groups and kids, although I came here on a date. The music was really good. They played all my favorite tunes, soulful classic songs. I will be back again!

Alan L.

Yelp
Authentic Sichuan fare. With so many new competitors around Rockville, Peter Chang still stands out for its bold flavors & numbing dishes. My absolute favorite dish was dry-fried eggplant; nothing comes close to its unique combination of spicy/savory powder, crispy crust, and tender interior. The cumin lamb was slightly on the dry side, yet absorbed much of the aromatics and chili. I would highly recommend those 2 dishes for a flavorful experience.

Dave F.

Yelp
Was excited to try their numbing chicken, but wasn't very numbing or spicy. I decided to drive over to Rockville to get takeout from here and Jin river across the street to compare. I got the Chicken in Szechuan Hot & Numbing Sauce. It was listed as 2 out of 3 . Plenty of chicken in a mix of veggies but the sauce just had no flavor compared to anything I've had in NYC or even kung fu 12. Very disappointed as I heard about this place being the spot to go to for Sichuan in Rockville years ago. Not against going back, but I guess I need to make it clear I want it actually spicy and actually numbing or maybe the other dishes are better.

Teresa P.

Yelp
This is our favorite Chinese restaurant for pick up every time we crave Chinese. So much flavor and heat - love it!

Craig D.

Yelp
(4) ~ very good overall food & service. Note: Most of the dishes can be shared with another person. MENU: ** Water (tap) = (4) very good, must be filtered;) They leave a bottle on the table too. ** Pork Ribs & Mushroom Soup = (4) very good & Shareable. ** Pork Soup Dumplings = (4) very good ** Cumin Lamb = (4) very good

Yelp
Was excited to try Peter Chang's newest restaurant in Columbia, MD. I will start the review by saying the food was excellent. However, the experience didn't match the taste. The staff: The hostess was kind, the bartender made a good drink, our server, once seated, was clearly inexperienced. They didn't know the wine list, told us that they were out of one white wine, of which there were only two of that variety. We requested that she check again with the bar, and low and behold, they found additional bottles. In addition, she was slow to ask for refills, and didn't even wait for us to pack up our meal before she was clearing our table- too rushed. The ambience: The restaurant was underwhelming. Not having been at the other MD location, I was expecting more upscale. We were greeted by a large portable coat rack and several dying/dead flower arrangements in the small lobby/hostess area, which honestly was not a good first impression. What you get is basic modern-no frills, light wood with mauve-ish vinyl seating and nice-looking table lighting that wasn't turned on/or wasn't working when we were there. So bright overhead lights it was. The bathrooms were clean, but the tile design and color selection did not coordinate. The picture style on the wall was also an odd choice, as it wasn't modern and didn't match at all. The food: We had no complaints about the food except a slight sticker shock for some of the entrees. We ordered the spring rolls, which were good, but very small. The sauces were excellent though. The pork dumplings were good size and tasted great. Our entrees were: Kung Pao - delicious and fair portion; Vegetable Lo Mein- generous portion and good; and the Dry Scallion Stir-Fried w/ Wagyu Beef - cooked well and tasted great, but the beef was cut in too large of pieces to manage in a bite - and you only get a fork and chopsticks. So, should be smaller sized pieces - that is only complaint about the beef. Overall, we enjoyed our food, but were not wowed by our server (hopefully they will improve over time) or the restaurant ambience itself. With the quality/price of the food served, I expected a match of both experience and taste.

Yelp
I chose Peter Chang's for one of my rare excursions into the world of Peking Duck because they seemed to take this dish seriously. It turned out to be seriously bad. The duck was tough and flavorless, the skin, instead of crispy, was rubbery and flaccid. The pancakes were thick. The scallions were tough and fibrous. Maybe the cucumber was OK, at that point I just didn't care. The menu gave it a special box headed, Chef's Recommendation, followed by the usual lines of boiler plate prose. This Chef maybe should consider a career change.

Christine Y.

Yelp
Excellent food!! We used to come here quite often, the food is consistently good. We came here for the first time since covid, and noticed that the menu is significantly smaller. However, the food was still very good. The water boiled beef is one of the best we've tried in the area. The dishes are all pretty distinct. The bubble pancake is a fun appetizer to try. I hope they continue to thrive under the difficult circumstances of the pandemic!

Molly G.

Yelp
Didn't feel like cooking.... Ordered some; Kung Pao shrimp-DELICIOUS!!! Full of perfectly cooked shrimp, sweet bc peppers, hot peppers, asparagus and peanuts. I asked for less spicy.. the spice was perfect and pretty intense but completely enjoyable and the spice was done right, not too overpowering and accentuated the food. Wow. Steamed pork dumplings-The dumplings were stuffed with pork and onion, not too much dough but the Star was the sauce! They gave a soy vinegar but the other sauce was AMAZING!! 10/10 Egg Drop Soup- Flavorful and delicious..... Everything tasted fresh and I'll be ordering again.

Mindy Y.

Yelp
Must get the taro snowball! It was the best dish out of all the ones we ordered. The dry noodles were also good along with the stir fried intestines.

Jay L.

Yelp
The food is excellent. Dining area is small and a bit crowded if you need a high chair. I recommend a booth and parking your kid in the corner, away from all the hot plates that come out. I'd recommend the basil eggplant, fish in stone pot on the specials menu, Beijing duck, fried eggplant and pork rib and mushroom soup. We also had the crispy pork which was good but not as spectacular as the other dishes. For the kids we got the salt and pepper shrimp and shrimp fried rice.

Busy day working from home, still trying not to go out unnecessarily due to Covid. No time to make an effort to fix lunch myself. So I order via Uber Eats from Peter Chang. I had heard about this place, generally good news, so I wanted to try it for myself. Simple quick order: #12 Dry Fried Eggplant, #14 Bamboo flounder fish, and a side of rice. This was the perfect size because each was appetizer sized. Typically if I want more than one lunch dish I get monstrous sizes from restaurants. In this case, I gobbled it all up, perfect portion size for me for lunch. Both dishes were excellent, although they both seemed to have virtually the same preparation/seasoning. Spicy without being too hot. Both were delicious. The Uber Eats connection was terrific. It took me 3 minutes to order, and the food came within 20-30 minutes. Value was not great. The two appetizer-sized dishes + rice came to $27, which seems expensive. Then with Uber fees, tax, tip, the total was $38.85, pretty ridiculous for a quick lunch. But then again, I was able to work and probably earned more than that in the time it would have taken me to prepare a meal. Looking forward to the day when I try Peter Chang in person.
