My husband and I have come randomly throughout their years and decided to give it another try last weekend. Surprised on how positive everything has changed as of recent. Came home with a couple of 4 packs and a growler fill. Environment totally different and better now too. Keep up the positive changes! Updated review - a growler full of Texas chainsaw and you didn't massacre us yet 💀best local IPA ever ❤️

Google
Amazing local brewery. Creative brews, great service, friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food! Not your ordinary pub mix. Get the schnitzel, only available after 4pm. Duck wings are great too! Stouts, porters, browns, and triples are my favorite. Huge selection of beer, about 16 on tap. Great outside beer garden, huge porch, ample inside seating too. On street and lot parking. Both free. Lots of families go here. Very casual spot.

This is a truly great brewery. Shawn the cicerone/bartender was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'd come back to this business, ANY time!!

Google
Y’all do NOT sleep on the Braised Saurkraut, I’m American of Mexican descent, it’s like the German grandma’s answer to Pozole!! All I have is an empty bowl and I don’t like sauerkraut!! So, so good! We also had the Beer Pudding, holy moly!!! Heaven on earth!! Erik, ya done good!! The beer selection was great, the service was excellent!!

Google
Delicious beers and nice selections for flights. Highly recommend the pretzel with beer cheese. Softest pretzel. The fried goat cheese balls with pistachio dressing is the bomb. Yummy desserts too!

Google
Let's start with the great: the food was definitely awesome, definitely much better than most pub or brewery food I've ever had. Excellent work on that! The not so good: the beer I tried had a funky flavor from sitting in the lines too long. Didn't seem like the beer was kept fresh. Didn't dare to drink another beer. The so-so: took about 20 minutes for a server to come see us. The place wasn't terribly busy and it didn't seem like they were short staffed. This service experience really did not impress me. Overall a good place but with those major flaws. Definitely some room to improve.

Google
This spot is my ultimate go-to, whether it’s date night, a business meet-up, or just kicking back. The beer? Top-notch. The pretzel with beer cheese? Absolute perfection. Hit it during happy hour, and you’re in for a steal.

Yelp
Ambiance: German inspired brewery with a huge outdoor patio area as well as indoor dining restaurant space and bar! This is honestly one of the best breweries in San Antonio! Amazing food and their beer list is incredible. As a wine lover, I highly recommend the Red Wine Supernova Belgian triple! One of the best beers I've ever had in my life. Limited parking onsite as well as street parking. Does get crowded! Dog friendly and kid friendly patio space. Perfect spot for large groups and hanging out with family/friends. Very accommodating service and staff. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food, cool ambiance, and friendly staff - I will be back!! The pretzel was perfectly cooked and served with a few delicious pickled veggies, spicy brown mustard (that could clear your sinuses), and the most delicious beer cheese that I've ever tasted. Honestly, I always skip the cheese and ask for yellow mustard, but glad I didn't, or I would have really missed out! Even though they serve up mostly German fare, they were serving Pozole Verde as the soup of the day. I've been craving Pozole Verde for awhile now, so gave it a shot, and so glad I did - it hit the spot! The Sauerkraut & Bacon had a wonderful flavor (especially the broth), and the bacon just melted in my mouth. And finally, the Curried Cauliflower - wow! Each bite was delicious, but squeezing a bit of lime on top completely elevated the flavors to another level. My friend and I left stuffed and super satisfied! I can't wait to come back and try more of their tasty food!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite breweries in town! If a brewery can brew great beer & serve great food, it's solid! The workers are always attentive and friendly making you feel welcome. The main room has the German style pub setting. A big space with warm wood colors. They also have a side room with TVs to catchup on whichever sports event is going on. There's also a large outdoor area they've added recently if you are there with your pets along with a covered outdoor area in front of the place near the entrance. Have came here 10+ times over the years and have had nothing but great experiences. Also checkout their trivia if you are down for that. If coming from out of town, this is the brewery I suggest you visit first.

Jarrod R.

Yelp
This feels like a true "locals" kind of place, which is exactly the kind of spot I do my best to visit when exploring a new city. Künstler Brewing is a little off the beaten path, which is just fine by me and adds a little mystery to experience. After a great interaction with the server, I opted for the Debigulator, which was perfect for wrapping up an evening of travelling. To pair with that, I went with their Bavarian pretzel, which is one of the best I've ever had. I also went with a brat and some of their homemade mustard. Everything was outstanding. And for the icing on the Kuchen, it was brought to my attention that it was karaoke night, so I couldn't leave without giving the fine folks of San Antonio at least one song. Right?

Peter L.

Yelp
Came here for a happy hour on a Monday night. It wasn't super busy but had a good number of customers already there. Tons of outdoor space and dog friendly. Good for groups. Beers are $3 for happy hour and you get a few dollars off their food menu. Everything is relatively affordable. Nota bene: They have a hard 5:00 p.m. cut off for happy hour so if they enter an order in at 5:01, you will get charged full price.

Nori F.

Yelp
Adorable place! There are several seating areas, a main bar room, a mostly sports hall with several TVs, and outdoor patio seating with a playground so it's very kid and family friendly. The service outdoors is online and they bring drinks and food out. Great beer and a decent wine selection. The food is great also. They have a curry cauliflower side dish that is really worth trying if you like cauliflower! The outdoor seating can be hot, but it's a very nice place to sit and on some weekends they have little vendors with handmade goods set up or live music. I would love if they added some misters or fans! Parking: They have parking in front, or in a lot down the street, or street parking.

Yelp
The only negative about this brewery is that the name is hard to remember and you'll probably almost say a very naughty word when trying to recommend it to others. (Fun Fact: I was told to come here by a beertender at another brewery he stumbled over the name and I thought " 'scuse me?!") Usually when breweries say some line about honor tradition but also new/modern takes...its a red flag to me that the brewery is overly traditional. Not so here! This brewery had a plethora of lagers (my favorite) on tap from traditional to hoppy-and-cutting edge (my favorite-favorite). They had both a Cold IPA AND a West Coast Pilsner on tap. Usually, finding even one of those is a bughunt...but finding a brewery with BOTH?! My only regret is that I didn't try any of the food, most of which looks like rib-stickingly good, hearty, German food.

Abigail W.

Yelp
Kuntsler is one of my husbands favorite place for a nice night out or an evening with friends. The brews are top tier! I don't even like beer but they can give you the best suggestions and persuade you otherwise. The food is a step above your average brewery. It's a very well planned menu and everything is exquisite. They can get quite busy, so call ahead, and be patient when looking for street parking.

Kenneth H.

Yelp
Well thank you OFFLINE app! We looked up places near us and BINGO. First who would have thought a Brewery would have a vegetarian option for Cindi... not only a vegetarian option but OMG good! Food - great. Try to figure out what picture is the vegetarian meal! Drinks - great Service - good, I only say this because the first server said we would have to spend $60 to honor the OFFLINE app offer. Second server come over later on and I asked, and she said no... that they honor the discount. Training opportunity. My wife says I'm 5 stars but come with mistakes! Ambiance - tucked away on a side street, you literally have to google or another app it to run across this gem. Well, so go I will be reaching out to the Manager - Danny to set up a Thirsty Thursdays event at this location. Toller Ort und danke

Lawrence S.

Yelp
So nice to get to the Southtown of San Antonio and see a brewery of this caliber. Many pilsners and lagers within that category to choose from.

Sam P.

Yelp
Decided to celebrate Mother's Day early to beat the crowd and as we had not been to Kunstler for a whole decided to give it a go! It was a great night - from drinks to food , service to music !! Had a fantastic time. Enjoyed their Guava IPA and Red IPA which I don't normally like but theirs is pretty great!! Our eyes were definitely bigger than our bellies and we ordered several dishes and ended up taking some home! Truffle fries are always delicious, loved their pretzel which was soft and very fresh, beet salad was lovely - love the fresh mint and pistachio topping! Shrimp roll is delicious as always and the cheese / charcuterie board is massive and so, so good! Will easily feed four!! Always a great spot and well worth a visit l!

Yelp
We just might become regulars at this place! Everyone is extremely nice and remembered us from the first time we came. Derrick /Derek (spell check) really made our experience worth while! The vibe is very laidback and we enjoyed ourselves here!! There is a beer for every palate and the food is simply delicious.

Rebecca J.

Yelp
We've dined here before but wanted to try their updated salad. I really enjoyed the house salad, which had a tangy flavor reminiscent of German potato salad, and the addition of cooked potatoes in the mix was a nice surprise. I've never had that combination before, but it worked well. The spatzle was fresh, though the flavor was a bit underwhelming and greasy. I would have preferred a creamier dressing, as it was quite oily. My husband ordered a large salad, but it didn't quite hit the mark in terms of flavor. On the bright side, the beer is always great! We'd visit more often, but the seating is uncomfortable--perhaps intentionally so to keep tables turning!

Steve G.

Yelp
This was a great evening. We visited for the first time tonight and totally enjoyed it. The beer was great! We really enjoyed the scichuan spiced beer- it was awesome. Also really great food! Give it a try.

Yelp
Attended an exceptionally organized Yelp event at Brewing and had the pleasure of sampling a variety of their menu items and beers, which were nothing short of spectacular. Danny, the General Manager, was the epitome of hospitality. His passion for Brewing was palpable, enriching our experience with fascinating backstories about the brewery, its inception, and the vision of its owner. The house salad, while simple, was incredibly delicious and a testament to the kitchen's prowess in elevating straightforward dishes. A standout for me was the goat cheese croquettes - a unique offering that was both surprising and delightful. The tomato and carrot marmalade served as the perfect accompaniment, enhancing the flavors beautifully. However, it was the currywurst that stole the show. Perfectly seasoned, it left an indelible mark on my palate and was a testament to the culinary skill at Brewing. The beer sampling was an adventure in itself. Each beer was a revelation, showcasing meticulous crafting and a deep understanding of flavors. It's clear that a lot of thought and care goes into their brewing process. After the event concluded, we decided to stay longer to indulge in more of the menu. The duck lollipops caught our eye and did not disappoint - an absolute must-try. The laid-back atmosphere of Brewing, coupled with the aim-to-please attitude of the staff, made our extended stay all the more enjoyable. In summary, my experience at Brewing was exceptional. Thanks to Danny's warmth and the culinary delights served, I left with a full heart and an eager anticipation to return. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food and great beer!

Yelp
Stopped by here when in town for a powerlifting meet as part of a descent size group and the service, atmosphere, food and drinks were great. Really enjoyed it, hope to get by again soon, I recommend the pretzel for sure.

Yelp
This was a perfect treat for our Sunday afternoon. My boyfriend and I had just toured the Briscoe Western Art Museum downtown and I realized that this brewery, which has been on my "to try" list for quite some time, was only 1.5 miles from our location. We were not disappointed! The outside is unassuming and the inside seating experience was actually quite relaxing. We enjoyed several of their beers and the food was amazing! I have to give many compliments to the server who gave us excellent beer and food recommendations. They also have great happy hour deals so we plan to return during the week to enjoy a happy hour very soon. Highly recommend!!

Doug H.

Yelp
An odd spot for a great restaurant and brewery, but totally fantastic! We had several beer selections and they were excellent. Try the bleu burger, you won't be disappointed.

Tiffanie D.

Yelp
This brewery is absolutely adorable, it is a cozy and inviting place with a decent amount of option for beers and they have a few options for wine, and seltzers. The beers we tried were Milk Street, Sichuan, and the Zick Zack. Everyone enjoyed their drinks, and we also ordered the duck lollipops, and the schnitzel mac & cheese off their food menu. All the food was great, the duck lollipops were sooooo flavorful and crispy/sweet and practically fell off the bone. It gave a generous amount, as there was 6 of them! It was an appetizer but it could've been a whole meal with how much there was. The schnitzel mac & cheese were not something I knew I needed, but it was perfectly cheesy and light tasting, also came with a generous amount I had enough to take home. Found myself grazing at them the whole night even though I was very full at that point! Staff was nice and helpful, you order at the front and pick your seats and they bring you your drinks and food to your table. Came on a weekday, so weekends may be different with the open seating as it seems they may do a more formal sit down style during the weekends so perhaps plan for reservations if you are dining on on weekends. I would come back, we had a great time. A great place for good food and drinks, and good conversation since we were able to actually talk and hear each other all night which was great. Made for a fantastic night!

Kristina B.

Yelp
Each time I've been to this venue, it's been a lot of fun. This may have a lot to do with the company, but the nice and chill ambiance, great beer selection, and delicious bites helps! The patio is nice and spacious on cool evenings, but there is plenty of space inside. Apparently there is a patio space on the back that I hadn't even realized. I'm a sucker for these fries. They are perfect every time. The pretzel is equally delicious. Soft, chewy, and buttery. What more can you ask for?? It's been a minute since we've popped in, I think we are going have to make a stop in soon!

Vonia P.

Yelp
What a fun evening here overall! Alas, there was definitely lost potential. Reasons this place is a winner? Readers will want to come for the ambiance, scrumptious German fare, and crafty drinks (pun intended). Sadly, in glaring contrast was the paltry service we received, as well as some higher than expected prices without the food quality to match. Not a big drinker when it comes to alcohol, but the sips sampled were good. The drink connoisseurs with me, though, did give me their approval and recommendations! They seem to have rotating drinks and specials on tap, as well as wine options. Food was well prepared and ranged from average to excellent. Minor complaints only as far as taste, but some pricing was a little on the expensive side, especially for a gastropub setting, meant to be casual dining. We had the Spaetzle Macaroni and Cheese, not as cheesy as it could be but the spaetzle was tasty. Relatively easy dish done competently! Shrimp Roll on a pretzel bun was fine. Maybe $10 fine, not $18. Pretzel roll was a tad dry, shrimps seemed likewise dry even though they were dipped in a mayonnaise sauce. It came with toasty fries that weren't soggy and had a crisp texture, so that was nice. In contrast, the Schnitzel was impressive, glad the aptly named Künstler knows how to do German cuisine! Lightly breaded, the pork meat was succulent and tender, infused with the orange and their special sauce. Last but not least, The Big Haus from their specials board. Definitely big. But ultimately, really it was a huge pot of cabbage, potatoes, and sauerkraut, with some pork cheek pieces and the 3 large bratwurst. With a large bread roll on the side, nicely toasted. Readers want to know, was it good? The vegetables were roasted in some tasty seasoning and sauces, and the pork cheek pieces, although buried in there, were flavorful. Bottom line, yes, good. But not almost $40 good. Probably would have preferred getting the single bratwurst, on the regular menu, because those were the highlights. Ambiance. One of the few places I can say without much hesitation that outside dining is actually better than inside. The inside was pretty dark, relatively small with open kitchen and a small area displaying Künstler merchandise. Nice to see they try to be involved in the community. There were some brochures out for other local breweries, plus the city's Fiesta celebration medals. Outside includes the large patio as well as the beer garden complete with a playground to distract the children and a stage for live performances! This brings us to the largest disappointment. We walked in and out took almost five minutes before anyone even came to greet us, despite not being extremely busy on a weekday night. Patrons were mostly outside, where you can actually order online through their application. Eventually, we were told we could seat ourselves if we wanted to dine on the patio and that someone would come out shortly with menus. Ten minutes later, had to go in and get menus ourselves. Another five minutes later, someone came out to see whether we had been assisted. Waitress was friendly, took our orders. Drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time. For the food, we had to wait another twenty five minutes for some, almost forty for the rest. My description for the service provided here: cordial, but only the minimum required. Are we return patrons? Although it would be a pity to lose such a great hang out ambiance, as tasty and welcoming gastropub locales are not easy to find, one must consider their expectations. An exemplary dining experience with superior food and drinks, as well as ambiance and service, in a timely manner? Probably not. A return visit would probably require expecting a mostly selfserve dining experience, perfectly fine for some. To each their own. Now, Prost!

Yelp
Drove up to San Antonio to see Natural Bridge Caverns and then stopped in town after to check it out. I strolled through town and found Künstler. They have a whole lot of IPA's on tap but very little selection other than that. The food they have is really good. I got a big pretzel with cheese sauce and loved it. They had an interesting sounding sour on tap I just wanted to taste a little splash of before ordering and they do not let you taste. You have to buy a taster. I thought that was pretty lame, I understand not giving out tons of samples and some breweries limit you to one or two. They do not. This was a big turnoff but I still liked the place and the faux German bier hall vibe it had.

Meg F.

Yelp
The food here is spectacular. The goat cheese croquettes (not pictured) were so good we inhaled them before any photo evidence was captured. I could simply get 3 orders of that and be happy. The beet salad was delicious! The vegan schnitzel was my least favorite thing we ordered but still very good. It was just a bit less crispy than I had hoped, a little on the soggy side. Flavor was great however, and I DID finish eating it all. Fantastic beers too, so many great flavors. The vibe of the place is really cool. They often have music and markets inside. And a nice patio!

Christine W.

Yelp
Always a great place to grab a drink and have either a meal or a light snack. The service is great and attentive and there's plenty of difference dining areas and patios seating. Love coming here.

Raul Z.

Yelp
This was a YELP event. My second one of the year. I've never heard of this brewery. So I jumped on this invitation when I saw it. I love to try new beers and new breweries. This event was a pairing event. So we got to try three dishes and three different beers to go with the food. Before I get too much into the pairing, let me get to the parking, mostly street parking. There is parking in front of the brewery, but very limited. This brewery is in a residential area, so don't park in front of the homes in the area. Walking up to brewery, there is a porch area with seating before you walk into the brewery. When you walk in, you'll see picnic type seating, which I love cause you can talk to other people. The bar is impressive, plenty of seating at the bar. There is a room to one side for rental, for parties and get togethers. This is where we sat for the pairing event. Nice area with TVs and plenty of seating. Walking thru this are is another outdoor area, for kids and for smoking if you got them. There is a community garden, but they don't use what they grow there, in their kitchen. They have QR codes on the tables to order food and drinks. I opted to start a tab at the bar. Plus and minus there. You'll have to forgive me here. I will update this are when I get my info straight We had three food pairings with three different beer. All were great and I can't wait to bring Maria here to try the food. There were three food options

Beth H.

Yelp
Great beer, awesome German style food, and an awesome outdoor venue for local music. We had a wonderful time watching Chavela play here back in July in the spacious outdoor seating area. My favorite beer of the night was the Guava Goddess. If you like sours, you'll love it too! If you're looking for a great local brewery, this is definitely the place to go.

Natasha K.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and it's always been a wonderful experience. Super nice and clean spot with a great story behind it. This is not just any brewery- it truly presents the art of brewing and it is not only family but also event friendly. Great bar space, nice event room and cute Biergarten! Kuenstler not nly has extraordinary beers, wines ... but also yummy dishes that are not your normal bar foods... oh and their merch!!! Awesome accomplishment Vera und Familie! Prosit!

Will X.

Yelp
Kunstler is a San Antonio mainstay and their brewery has ample seating, a decent selection of food (both meals and bar bites), and good brews. They have a restaurant vibe in the main area and in the side room is a larger hall with barstool seating, shared tables, and a couple of TVs to catch the game. They also have a shelf of board games as well! Service is quick and through the QR code. There's a decent amount of parking out front. Is in a quieter part of town, but felt safe.

Alex G.

Yelp
Tried this place out right before the UTSA game. This is such a relaxed place with good food. Come by and try out this place. Staff was great and prices were reasonable.

Mason A.

Yelp
I swore I wrote a review already for Künstler Brewery, welp I guess not, but here it goes! Many many visits stretching over years of living here around Southtown/Lone Star District. We come here with family, friends, and colleagues. Now that we have a baby, it is our go-to spot because we know they have a solid changing table situation. haha how the times have changed from babysitting with a growler in tow to just coming here for hours at a time to catch a game in their back brewing room aka "sports halle" as a couple of fans. We have always been a fan of their brews, especially the Fog beers, the classic Dortschlager on a slow pour (to note can't get that one in growler), and actually their Rosé on the menu. As far as food, you can guarantee it's going to be fresh, well cut, and well presented dishes. Not brewery dive food, but really a well thought out chef's menu. The Reuben and Schnitzel here is second to none! Must try! Also if you are just sharing with a table. The Pretzel and Cheese Board are solid choices! I love their beer seasonality, brewing floral-like creativity, and an inviting approach to the whole operation here. Truly a San Antonio gem with top notch service, quality, and friendly atmosphere that charms over and over again! Künstler

Mitch E.

Yelp
This brewery is legit. Great food and great beer. I'm not a beer fan but really enjoyed the variety of Künstler. The service was great and all orders arrived at our table very quickly. The Mac and cheese was so good and the fries were just as good. The vibe was super chill and appreciated the music in the background. Overall, super happy with my experience here and will be back.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Tons of cool and comfortable places to sit, outside backyard, inside, front porch. Staff is great and super helpful. The beer is all good. The food is on point. We had the goat cheese balls and they were really good. The balls themselves were great and the pistachio peach sauce on top was really yummy. We had a charcuterie board and brat, all great. We will be back!

Kenneth R.

Yelp
Lovely brewery on the south side of town offers authentic German options, and large brew list made right there, and a friendly staff. I really enjoyed the bratwurst, pretzel and potato salad.

Julian R.

Yelp
One of the best breweries I've recently discovered in Texas. From out of town I cannot wait to go back to SA. My next stay might be next door because this is where I want to be. Great beer, music, and food.

Mark M.

Yelp
The food and service were excellent! Loved the decor of the place and it was nice and quiet for a pub even though it was pretty busy. Will definitely be back.

Jen H.

Yelp
This has definitely become one of my fave places to grab a beer and have some yummy eats. They have a solid beer list and even some non-alcoholic options. There are also rotating daily food specials on the menu. Patio seating is available and also pet-friendly. Or you can grab a seat inside at the bar or at one of the many tables. I personally like the decor inside and gives very much a pub feel. Their Blackberry Streusel beer, which has just a bit of sour & sweetness, cuts any of the greasier food items nicely. I also highly recommend getting an order of Pomme Frites if you just want something to munch on with your drink. There are limited parking spots but plenty of street parking available.

Amanda M.

Yelp
My husband and I have come randomly throughout their years and decided to give it another try last weekend. Surprise on how positive everything has changed as of recent. Came home with a couple of 4 packs and a growler fill. Environment totally different and better now too. Keep up the positive changes!

Edgar R.

Yelp
The jaeger was solid and the beer was great! The bartender that served me was kind at was always ready to serve me another beer. Brewery's are my go to for a nice calm place to drink and eat and this place did that well.

Jim D.

Yelp
Giving samples again. Change their beers frequently, so it's important to have a taste. Still one of my favorite brew pubs. Always good beer, of all varieties. Servers are friendly and attentive. Food is great. Limited menu, but great selections from light "bar" fare to hearty meals. Their jaegerschnitzel is something to write home about. Lots of sauce and mushrooms! Snacks are great too, with big, warm pretzels, sausages, pickles, cheeses ... Great place!

Al P.

Yelp
Hidden gem on the south side. Kind of wished we didn't eat before coming as the menu looked delicious. They have a good variety of beer on tap with a friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The "Smoked Wolfie" was my favorite

Matt G.

Yelp
Why have I not been here sooner. Who has kept this place from me? Who? Who? This place is awesome. The staff is amazing. The beer is GREAT and the food is phenomenal. Can some just feed me spaetzle the rest of my life please. I literally want that with everything. It's so good. If your dumb like me and have not been you should go. Love the place. Ambiance is amazing. Go see them.

Mark M.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time. Staff was friendly and helpful with beer suggestions. We tried four different beers and they all tasted great. The place is not big but nice and comfortable and clean.

Jeff M.

Yelp
Nice place. Sitting outside with my dog. But service was very slow recognising folks sitting outside. I honestly was about to call them and ask them for service outside. As I couldn't go in with my dog. The black ipa called Blackout was very good.

Monica P.

Yelp
Great brew and stellar food!!!!! This is out of the way, tucked in a neighborhood but the blue and white bier garten Oktoberfest flags are apparent and you know as you drive around the corner. We had 2 flights and 4 cashmere biers. That tells you which beer to get :-) we also got the tiger eye brats, curry wurst, big pretzel and the over the top, splendid, flavor explosion curry cauliflower. This was our first time and we were very pleased. We will def put this on our list of suggestions to friends busting the area and we will return too. Check them out if you're in the area.

William B.

Yelp
Good german style beer and food. Relaxed atmosphere. Good service. Locals hang out here. Parking can be a little difficult because there are not enough parking spaces near the restaurant.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
A short Uber from the Riverwalk, this restaurant and brewery is well worth the effort to visit. Situated in a neighborhood and near the train tracks, this long low building has a covered deck/patio running the length of the space and we were able to observe it is both dog and cat friendly. The beers are plentiful and brewed with clarity and true to style. Order by the (appropriate) glass or in flights of four. Food menu has just what is needed - German food with some daily specials and options for a variety of dietary needs. We enjoyed the Wednesday schnitzel and a German style sandwich thoroughly.

Yelp
This was the fourth stop of six on a crazy Father's Day weekend celebration with my wife, my oldest son, and my daughter in law. It was a very hot muggy day. That made it perfect for hitting up "new to us" breweries. We found this location easily by letting Siri guide us. Unfortunately, finding parking wasn't as easy. We finally noticed a sign pointing down the street for additional parking. That was in a vacant lot by the train tracks that wasn't paved, but was in good enough shape to make parking there okay. It was a short distance from the brewery, but even in the heat it wasn't bad. When we first walked in, we didn't think we were going to stay. There wasn't an empty table anywhere that we could see. Then I noticed a door at the end of the main room. Someone came through it and I saw additional tables. We went back there and claimed a very comfortable spot under a gigantic ceiling fan. This room was a whole lot cooler than the main dining room. I attribute that to this amazing fan. We had to go into the bar to order our drinks. That was no biggy, except that it was hot in there. I heard a man in line behind us who had just come in the front door with his group discussing the situation. He said, "It's a hell of a lot hotter in that room, though." I thought to myself how he was in for a pleasant surprise. Hot or not, my son would have rather been in the main room. He really liked the vibe in there. Vibe means nothing to me if I'm sweating like a pig. We had already eaten, so I can only comment on the beers. I got a flight of IPAs. They were all good, but, in all honesty, I wouldn't drive all the way over there just to drink them. There are better ones closer to home. The best of the flight was the Kali Fog Imperial/Double IPA. I enjoyed it and gave it a 3.9 on Untappd, which is a fairly high rating for me. The other three earned 3.6 or below. I will go back again on a cooler day and when it is less crowded. It opens at 12:00 on most days during the week. It probably wouldn't be bad at around 2:00 PM on a Tuesday or Wednesday. I especially want to try the food. There was a couple sitting at the bar eating. They each had some kind of burger/sandwich and a charcuterie board. Whatever the sandwiches were, they looked out of this world and smelled like Heaven!

Yelp
This bierhall has potential for max fun, but you might have to be patient and flexible on the seating . We showed up on a ore-Oktoberfest Sunday afternoon. Needless to say, it was a busy day. We found some shade and looked into the menu, available on all tables through a QR. We kept the visit simple. Pretzels and beer... it's a fun hangout, and the staff got our orders out pretty quick. Pretzels were warm and soft. The dips were good, but I keep it German, sticking with the spicy mustard. The bier was güt. The live music from the inside was pumped out to the outdoor seating areas. They have a private lot next door, so check it out before resorting to the street parking. This is beyond South town. At night it wont be well lit. We will try again.
