Eeeeeeee!!! *That's my excited squeal*. Let's just establish the fact that I LOVE a boutique dessert place, especially one with yummy treats like cupcakes, ice cream, etc. So I came into this place on the day of its grand opening with my best friend who knows the owner. I loved the midnight blue and pink color palette. And I love their cute cupcake logo.
But let's get into these CAKES. They were delicious, y'all. I bought a half dozen (not because I was going to eat them all by myself,... but I CERTAINLY could have!) so I could taste a variety of them, so I could support its grand opening, and to share with my family. I ordered the carrot cake, strawberry, chocolate, butter pecan, banana pudding, and red velvet. Like I said: I didn't eat them all, but I could have. I ended up eating the carrot, strawberry and butter pecan ones (not at once, but over the course of some days). They. were. simply. DELICIOUS. SoooooooYummmmmy!! I've had cupcakes from other boutique bakeries/creameries around metro/surrounding Atlanta that are also delicious and decadent. But these, from kupcakerie, tasted different (in a good way. I like variety) and were EQUALLY delicious. If not MOREso.... They tasted really, really homemade (like not so OVERLY sweet and rich, that you feel an immediate toothache coming on!; but Like someone's grandma made them with lots of TLC). They tasted like they were made with pure, simple and real ingredients. You can TASTE the quality and delicious-ness in each & every bite.
My favorite, hands down, was the carrot cake (let me be clear: this was an extremely difficult choice to name ONE favorite because each one had such a delicious and distinct taste, and each one tasted like a party in my mouth!!!!). I thought it would be the strawberry (because that was the first one I tasted and it was HEAVEN at first bite). Then I ate the butter pecan, and was like: Nah, THIS is definitely my favorite. But then, when I finally bit into that carrot cake, y'all. I shed a tear of joy. It tasted like the carrot cakes those old ladies in church bake for a special occasion. Like them cakes they bake ONLY for the pastor's table. You know those type of people: they can THROW DOWN in the kitchen and you'll only eat THEIR food @ church?!!
This carrot cake cupcake tasted like the delicious cakes of my childhood. It was so amazing....
Thank you, Kupcakerie, for gracing the city with another location.
I'll be back!!!!!
