New Restaurant Openings in Seattle for 2021 | Eater Seattle

"The national conveyor-belt sushi chain opened in Wilburton Village offering nigiri (garlic ponzu red snapper, dashi olive salmon), rolls, gunkan, and seafood sides (softshell crab tempura, scallop carpaccio), plus a playful anime-video-and-prize feature tied to plate counts at each table." - Gabe Guarente

Google
First time at this place tonight. The food was great. I love the fact that you can order anything missing from the belt. The current price for a normal plate is $4.10. We had a reservation and waited maybe 15min, but it’s fine. Overall everything was good and fresh. One of the person in our party was vegetarian and the vegetarian options are ok but nothing to really talk about.

I walked into Kura Revolving Sushi Bar hoping for a playful, tech-forward sushi experience. What I got instead felt more like a vending machine with a seating chart than a restaurant built on hospitality. The revolving belt meant to be the heart of the experience was nearly barren. Plate after plate passed by empty. For a concept built around visual abundance and spontaneity, the lack of available sushi was a letdown from the start. Ordering via touchscreen should be intuitive. Instead, it felt like a chore. Want wasabi? You’ll need to order a drink first. That’s not a quirky policy, it’s a frustrating one. The interface was clunky, and the delay between ordering and receiving items only added to the sense of disconnect. We were seated at the farthest table in the back, despite plenty of open, more inviting spots. When I asked to move, the server explained that the manager enforces a rigid seating chart. No flexibility. No explanation. Just a shrug and a rule. It’s hard to feel welcome when the system seems designed to ignore comfort and common sense. I’ve eaten at dozens of sushi spots across the greater Seattle area from humble strip mall gems to upscale omakase counters. Kura ranks at the very bottom. The fish was passable, the rice forgettable, and the overall execution lacked the care and finesse that even budget sushi should strive for. If you’re looking for conveyor belt sushi with charm, warmth, and flavor, I’d steer clear of Kura. It’s a concept that’s lost its soul somewhere between the touchscreen and the seating chart. I always want to support local restaurants, but this experience left me disappointed and confused. There are far better options in the area that offer genuine hospitality and much better food.

We had lots of fun at this sushi train restaurant! Good choice of items on the conveyor belt, fun robot delivered our drinks, and it was packed - even on a Wednesday evening. Definitely recommend making a reservation.

I came here for the first time not expecting much and I was surprised that the food was actually pretty decent. There was only one thing I didn't like, but everything else was good. Sweet prawn was surprisingly delicious. I forgot to take picture as I was eating pretty fast in the beginning. There wasn't a lot of service since everything was ordered through a screen and delivered via the conveyor belt or robot. But the staffs were polite, fast, and efficient when we were settling the bill (cash). 15 plates to trade in for a keychain was a lot though, easier to just buy it at $3.95. :) I would definitely go back again next time I travelled there. The wait time can be long though, so don't arrived too hungry.

My friends and I love going to kura after volleyball or a late night out since they are open quite late. Even in the evening, the items on the conveyor belt are fresh - we’ve been so many times and rarely have a bad experience. The atmosphere is fun and they always do collaborations that swap out every so often. And although it’s basically self-service, the staff are super friendly when you do need their help. Note that they no longer run on a waitlist system which I used to prefer, but they tend to have reservation slots within the next hour or two.

Google
Revisited Kura Revolving Sushi and had another solid experience! The seared scallop nigiri is always a must — creamy, lightly torched, and absolutely delicious. The eel sushi was flavorful and well-balanced. The spicy tuna roll had a great texture and just the right kick from the jalapeño. Also tried the Tantan ramen this time — it had a bold, rich broth, though it was a little too salty for my taste. Overall, the food was fresh and satisfying, and the rotating sushi experience is always fun!

Google
Really cool spot with dish track, and little robots that bring your food and drink. But it’s not all show no go. The food was very fresh and special orders came very quickly. I loved that you could order right from the booth and it was to you quick. The menu was very large and the belt had a ton of options. Almost all the plates were the same or close to the same pricing around $4. I highly recommend checking this place out both for the atmosphere and the food.

Google
By far, the best belt sushi I've had, and, personally, my favorite sushi restaurant in general. I love their variety of nigiri and the fish always tastes fresh. My husband and I go here almost every single time we're near Bellevue, even though the line can be so long sometimes, we still find it worth it. We've also never had a single bad experience with staff and have always been treated warmly. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
This is my family second time at Kura and Omgs they changed it up! Last time I came, I thought the sushi was not fresh at all but man have it changed . I felt like all of the sushi was good this time , this may have to do with why they changed it to charge 3.80 for all sushi dishes . Service was okay! They have robots going around to give you your drinks so we only saw our waitress once , Overall, this is definitely the place to go if you want revolving sushi in the Seattle area . We usually go to the place in Tukwila but their fish quality are poor,

Yelp
Food - was ok but sea urchin is not fresh at all! We spend about 180d plus for 6 people ..I say sushi revolution is much better or harvest buffet is the best deal! Service - 2 star no good at all! Ambiance - it's ok plus it's new ... Will never come back !

Yelp
Make sure to download the Kura Sushi app and view the wait times/join the waitlist because there is always a 1hr+ wait on Fridays and Saturdays. And it is worth it! A little robot brings your drinks and then you have free access to the conveyor belt with sushi, or special order items on the screen at your table. The atmosphere is fun, the wait staff are so friendly and this is something you have to experience atleast once! This is a great way to try different food items that you've never had before! It can be pricey, but it's worth it

Yelp
I was totally surprised. During the pandemic I figured we'd never do a conveyor belt sushi place again. We heard this place was actually pretty good and decided to try it. Went at the height of the lunch crowd. Everything was turning over quickly and was very fresh. The yellow tail was better than a traditional sushi place we went to recently. Most items were really good, and I appreciated the variety. I also liked that you can do on demand ordering at your booth and not rely just on the belt. A couple rolls could have used more fish in them. The spicy scallop handball was very nice, and not stuffed with too much rice. Loved the crispy rice with crab. The eel (ordered, not belt) was great. Will definitely go again.

Yelp
There used to be a really large hype back in 2022 when I ate here with a party of 6, but not for this visit. But this means I got to try everything that I wanted to quickly! I went with a party of 4 this time and got a seat pretty quickly for a Wednesday lunch. The entrance to the building is located inside a parking garage that is shared with a nearby PCC and several other businesses on the same floor and above. The parking gets really tight even on weekdays so I'd come early to snag a spot. As for the line to Kura, it can vary. Service was very interesting; it came from robots that go across tables to deliver your water. The inside has tons of booths but is small enough for the place to fill up very fast. The booths themselves are lined up close to the conveyor belt where all the food is, and you can either order your food using a small kiosk located near each table, or grab the food that's going around the conveyor belt. If you do order food from the kiosk, it comes sliding in from a separate section above your table for you to pick up. Every 15 plates gets you a gacha toy as well, so you can quickly rack up a hefty price for the food you get. Food quality overall was just all right, though my most favorites was the rainbow roll for the variety and freshness of the fish, the spicy popcorn shrimp roll for the extra spice kick and somewhat crunchy texture, and the eel roll for its overall taste. Most other plates we got (takoyaki, sesame balls) were regular things I usually get which were all right. Their Luffy's jumbo spicy roast beef nigiri wasn't too great as it consisted of far too much meat than rice, and the meat was hard. Their crispy squid dish was also hard to chew and was too salty for my party. This wasn't my best experience here, but I do love conveyor belt sushi places since I can grab whatever I want, even if the prices do quickly add up!

Yelp
Had heard about a fun conveyor belt sushi spot in Bellevue so decided to check it out. We came here at like 3pm and the wait was about 50-80 min affording to their waitlist app, we decided to put our name down and do some shopping in the area first that we had planned to do and as we weren't so hungry. It ended up being an hour, the worker told me you have 15 min after your second text to come back. Anyways when we got back we were promptly seated. We hadn't been there before so the person who seated us explained the whole concept, showed us how to open the sushi stuff, how to order on the tablet, how to pay etc, how every 15 plates is a toy. We ordered two waters to start which was so fun to see. The sushi was really fun to pick and order. Overall everything was really good and service was fast, I'd def go back. I'd say it's pretty on par for conveyor belt sushi I've had but this is the first I've been to with the toys. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this spot or wait again unless someone else wanted to but it was super fun.

Yelp
This place is great. The kids love it, the ambience is so modern and trendy especially if you love sushi and anime! It's a fun dining experience. They have a wide variety of sushi you can either grab from the conveyor belt or u can order specific rolls to your liking and choose from a wide variety of other dishes and appetizers. Service is pretty fast to and their touch screen keeps tab on the time your order will arrive. This place gets packed fast, we arrived right when it opened and there was already a line. Regardless it's definitely worth experiencing and the sushi is pretty good!

Yelp
4.5 star experience! I have been wanting to try this sushi bar for years now and finally decided to stop in! We came during lunch hours and there was no wait as we were seated immediately. Host was extremely kind showing and explaining how things worked. Definitely a fun experience! We couldn't get to the 15 plates for a keychain lol so probably a group of 3 or if your group of 2 is very hungry you'll get to the 15. Keychains are available for purchase though if you still want one. Robots bring your water and play fun music; super cute! Sushi quality isn't the best but it's not bad at 3.85 per plate. I've worked for many sushi restaurants so I know quality and this kind of lacked, maybe some dishes were sitting out too long as well. My fav dish was the crispy squid which was soooo yummy and hot and fresh. My man enjoyed the eel nigiri. You can order from the screen as well which we took advantage of. Such a fun lunch date! Overall a super fun experience and a nice, more affordable laid back sushi bar!

Yelp
Super fun experience! I came where with folks that's never been to a conveyor belt rotating sushi restaurant, and this was is more modern than the "traditional" ones. If you're new, they give you the option to hear how it's run. Basically there's two belts, one on top and one on the bottom. Bottom one rotates and you can select your dishes. They're all the same prices. Two belts is when you order something on the screen. You can order food that's not on the belt, like ramen, or order something that's on the belt but you want it made and not the ones that's been sitting. There's a pretty expansive menu of options. I wasn't blown away by the the quality of fish though. It was pretty average. You drop you dishes in a shoot, and after 15, you get a small prize. There is typically a wait. I went and it said it'll be a 2 hour wait!! But I notice there wasn't a lot of people waiting outside, and decided to wait around a bit, and we actually got seated in like 10-15 mins. And this was a Friday too. There's also a fun robot that serves you your drinks too!
google avatar

Yelp
***GET THE APP FOR THE WAITLIST*** This place is small and gets packed fairly quickly. I recommend checking about 30-45 minutes before you want to go and add yourself to the waitlist if necessary. You can even check out D&B upstairs while you wait! Drinks are entirely robot served and ordering is done electronically. The conveyer belt moves slow enough to grab and I'd say the whole list of options takes about 5 minutes to circle around. It was our first time, so we asked a server to explain how the plate mechanism worked. Before we knew it, we had hit 15 plates ! I'd definitely say it adds up quickly ($3.85/plate) but the two of us were satisfied after 15. We got a cute little keychain prize as well! Definitely a fun spot to try while you're in Bellevue! Sushi options range from egg and tofu skin to cooked fish to raw ! A great selection imo.

Yelp
I love revolving sushi and kura was my go to when I lived in California. It's such a fun concept, it's not top of the line or fancy sushi but it satisfies the sushi fix. It's a fun concept with the conveyor belt. The service when you need help is easily called with the tablet but you could go the entire meal without needing it. This location was a little odd with the entrance being in the parking lot but it still was the same Kira I know and enjoy.
google avatar

Royal P.

Yelp
Conveyer belt sushi! The sushi on the conveyer belt is not the freshest, and depending on where you're sitting in the restaurant, it may be awhile before something good reaches you. It's better to order from the screen, as the sushi is prepared fresh and better quality. However, I don't think anyone is coming here expecting premium sushi. The wait time here can be 30-45+ min, so you need to download the app to get on the waiting list. You can also pay at the end via the screen and scanning a QR code. You drop a plate into a slot at the table once you are finished. Every few plates, a fun, sushi-related animation plays on the screen. Drop 15 plates into the slot and you get a prize. We almost never eat enough to get the prize. One time we went, the plate slot was pretty dirty with rice spilling out from previous patrons. The staff was nice and tried to address it, but it was still not clean after. There's a robot that will serve you your drinks but careful if you order hot tea, as the robot can be wobbly when delivering. Other than the sushi, fried rice is also pretty good. So lots of pluses and minuses with automation, from the conveyer belt to the screen to the robot, but slightly bumping this to a 4 star rating because it is always a fun experience.

Yelp
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers the convenience of garage parking, making it easy to find a spot. I also appreciate that it's open nonstop, so if you're craving sushi in the middle of the afternoon, you're in luck! I stopped by around 4:50 PM on a weekday and was seated immediately, which was a nice plus. The prices are attractive, with plates around $3.85, but the food quality left something to be desired. The nigiri had way too much rice, overpowering the fish, and the sea urchin didn't taste fresh. While they have a fun incentive where you get a prize after eating 15 plates, the overall experience wasn't enough to make me want to return. One unique feature was the cool robot that roams around the restaurant and sometimes brings items to your table--it added a bit of fun to the experience. However, I didn't like how the ordering pad was placed so high up, which made it awkward to use. I tried ordering from my phone instead, but it seemed like my phone was in a dead zone, which made that option frustrating. Overall, I found the sushi to be pretty average. It's a decent spot if you're looking for convenience, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
google avatar

Erin C.

Yelp
It was a fun ambiance and had a variety of options. The drinks were brought out by a robot. How fun! This is a fun place for a variety of options.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
Food was good for revolving sushi. I recommend this place. The made to order feature is very helpful, instead of waiting for the food to come around the belt.
google avatar

Den P.

Yelp
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar has become a monthly tradition for my husband--he's obsessed with the anime-cartoon style toys, which keeps us coming back! I love how easy it is to curate your sushi selections without the pressure of committing like at a traditional sushi spot. The casual atmosphere is great for a quick pop-in, and I imagine it's a hit with kids. Plus, they serve ramen and rice dishes, so it's not all sushi. Sake lovers will be happy, too! And who could forget the cute cat robot that brings out your drinks?
google avatar

Jesse R.

Yelp
We decided to go here today because we've been craving! The place is clean, music is great and the service is pretty good. The wait was 45 mins but we made sure to use the app to get on the waitlist beforehand. The sushi was honestly so good today. Surprisingly, we're always so sketchy about here because some days are just not as good. We'd love to come back again! Hopefully the Tacoma location is just as good.

Yelp
One of the newest spots in Bellevue interesting enough to visit. The mor eif you have kids. They have robotsserving your drinks! They can sya things like thank you or dodge something /another robit on their way. Do not place anything on them or one of the cleaning staff will come and let you know to not do it (That's why a minus star). But manager was intelligent enough to take care of it and I'm sure they will do something to keep clean tables without glasses or small plates around. While you dispose your plates through a whole, you can't get rid of big soups ones or the black ones. You get a pretty busy table if going with kids. They have a very interesting band but you can also receive your a la carte dishes on a band at the top. Fun cartoons will let you know your order is almost ready. And if you order enough, you get prices coming down from the top of the conveyor. Everything was very tatsy and fun to try :D We had almost everything because the plates have just the right amount. Tea was lovely too. Thry get busy on weekends but you can wait about 45 minuted while purchasing groceries next door. No waiting lines on week days.
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
The kids ask for it by name. The app is wonky and takes some getting used to, but signing up prior and getting on the waitlist is the only way to do it. The rolls are good and the ramen doesn't disappoint.
google avatar

Peter H.

Yelp
Average sushi restaurant, must say the price in the USA is just too expensive! You will get triple the amount in Japan.... No service because it is all automated and delivered with robots. The ambiance is just like fast food restaurants which nothing special. One thing really bugs me is that so expensive but still a lot of people goes to the restaurant and you need to key in us phone number to get waiting lists.... Crazy, it is not friendly to visitors...
google avatar

Polly C.

Yelp
Ambiance - 10/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Every time we come to Bellevue, we always come here for Kura Sushi. It is a conveyor belt when sushi goes around the restaurant. Different types of sushi pieces on each plate. Each plate comes in 2 pieces. They have an efficient wait list. When you arrive, you go inside to check in and wait outside for your table. Seating is pretty quick if it's not too busy. Service is excellent. Seating is quick. Staff are friendly and nice. Food is great. So many different type of sushi pieces you can try. They offer drinks, desserts, ramen, and hand rolls which are excellent. But the best part is the sushi will be on the belt and it will come to you. Overall, 10/10! A must-have list on to go place with friends and family. Absolute recommend!

Yelp
We visit Kura Revolving Sushi Bar every time we're in Bellevue, WA! It's always a great time but a long wait. After adding our name to the in-person wait list, we usaully walk around the nearby Target. The conveyor belt sushi at Kura is fast and convenient. From traditional rolls to more adventurous options, there's something for everyone. It's exciting to see all the different options pass by, and you can grab whatever catches your eye. The 15 plate goal (for a toy) adds an element of fun to the dining experience! Once seated, though, the experience was enjoyable. Even though this place is mostly self-service, the staff and robo staff is attentive! I've never had a good experience with their Kura app, so I would opt out of trying to get Kura rewards.
google avatar

Gina M.

Yelp
Talk about an efficient way to run a restaurant....everything is automated and the little interaction you have with a wait staff is friendly and fast. It feels like a futuristic place with most of the booths attached to the conveyor belt. The booth can sit 4 quite comfortable or 6 if your small otherwise they will attach chair to your table. The sushi was better than I expected. Especially the Toro, scallop and sweet shrimp. Really really good. If you want to order something, there is a tablet for you to enter your order and before you knowbb ch it, the upper conveyor belt zips the order right to your table. Fascinating!! There's a good sized parking building attached to the restaurant.

Yelp
Arguably the best looking Kura I have ever dinned as of late, Bellevue's location looks top notch. I have dinned at our local Kura (Dublin, CA), as well as in Los Angeles (Tokyo town), and the Bellevue location leaps to the top in terms of ambiance. Transparent foods guards and walls isn't weathered and cloudy. The robot waiter serving drinks looks tidy and new. The black ceiling with wooden slats gives an airy chic ambiance. And most importantly, the surfaces looked like it is well kept and clean. As far as food goes? If you look at my Kura reviews, I have high praises in regards to Kura's food. I just love their California roll the best. Seared Scallops, Salmon Nigiri, and most of selections are very good. Form here at Bellevue WA, to NorCal and SoCal, I am glad to inform that the quality and taste seems consistent throughout Kura's different locations. But Bellevue for me has the best looking so far.
google avatar

Belldandy O.

Yelp
This was my third time at Kura, and it will be my last. Each plate is $3.85 no matter if there is one, two, three, or four pieces. I can understand it being priced the way it is based off what roll it is and getting a certain number of pieces. However, I cannot get over how the rice was not sticky enough to stay together once it is picked up to put in your mouth. In comparison to other sushi places, the quality of the fish is subpar. Not only that, but the fish to rice ratio is not worth it. Between my sister and I, the total ended up being almost $108, which is EXPENSIVE for what you are getting here. The service was basically nonexistent once you get seated. The only other time we interacted with staff was when they came to collect a certain plate that couldn't fit in the plate drop off at the table.

Yelp
Quick especially if you download the app and hop on the waitlist through that! The food has never once let us down in the countless times we've come here and this place has the best vibes and atmosphere.

Yelp
The Sushi is hit and miss, sometimes the fish looks like it's been on the belt all day. The service is great and the ambiance is nice. I alway have a good experience. If you haven't been, go check it out is a fun experience!

Yelp
Went with three kiddos and they've nothing to greatness to say about the place. Very family friendly! I personally found selection to be fresh, quality were good, mixture op varieties were right! Definitely a return again soon.

Yelp
With the understanding that you're not getting super deluxe quality from a conveyor belt set up, the quality and flavors were really good. The line outside looked intimidating but it moved fairly fast. We were sat within 15 mins and you can start eating right away. I struggled to get the plates out, but everything else was super easy and ridiculously fast! We ordered several items from the computer menu and they were zipped out to us within minutes. The garlic ponzu salmon was so good! So was the kura roll, the Texas and the hand rolls. We honestly didn't dislike anything, except maybe the fried rice ones. The rice was stale and overall, not worth it. Waiters came within seconds if called and were super peppy and helpful. I wish there was a location closer to us, here in Pierce County. I recommend! P.s. the little Peanuts treats we got (for every 15 plates) are so cute!

Yelp
Back again and noticed the crowd on weekdays (not including Friday) don't start until closer to 5:30+. Got there on a Wednesday just in time before the dinner crowd. To avoid dinner wait line on the weekend, be there before 4+. I wanted to share a not to be missed, Japanese Sweet Potato Sundae. It is so delicious as I wouldn't have thought nor have tried such combination. It is smooth and creamy. Love!!!! Leave room for dessert Also, Wanted to give a big shout out to Ariel (manager?) for being courteous and kind to my Birthday child. The server mistakenly told us that birthday person gets a free dessert and we found out later after attempting to order that that offer is only for app user. But Ariel comp us the dessert (Japanese Sweet potato sundae!!). Thank you! Reminder to download the Kura Sushi Rewards app and start an account to earn other rewards as well.
google avatar

Christopher L.

Yelp
The restaurant has a modern vibe to it and is lively. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean. Here you can grab your food off the conveyor belt or order items/specialty items from the tablet at your table. After you are done with each plate, you put them down the slot at your table and the tablet will update how many plates you have had. All the plates are reasonable and everything tastes fresh. If you order drinks, a robot comes around and delivers it to your table. On another note, the biggest downside is the waiting system. It's disorganized and inaccurate. You join the waitlist but still have a significant wait when you arrive. Waitlist says 5 minutes but in reality you should plan for a half hour plus outside. Besides a disorganized check-in and wait system, it's a fantastic place to come to.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
I went to Kura for lunch. Sushi belt was 95% empty. Ordering off the monitors was not the best. I left hungry only consuming two plates. I tried this place two years ago and there was a reason why I haven't been back. Very disappointed!
google avatar

Michele S.

Yelp
If I could do half stars, this would be a 3.5 based on the belt food, but I rounded up to 4 because the food you order is hotter and fresher, it's so fun and the staff are great. I have been a sushi belt fan since the way back when a now defunct local chain opened in the early aughts. It's fun to have so many different small plates, fast and easy. Since that place closed, I haven't really sought it out, but Kura showed up in my Yelp feed and I had errands in Bellevue, so I talked the spouse into it (who I think wound up liking it even more than me). The setting and vibe are really fun, we felt like we were in an arcade with our talking screen, prize ball drop and a shute to throw our plates down for counting. Tips: the plates are hard to get out of their containers and off the belt! Follow the directions or ask staff. The food doesn't feel as fresh on the belt, so order at least some of your stuff from the touch screen and watch it wiz down to you. Get the app for more fun and prizes! Also as mentioned elsewhere, I skipped the table ginger. No thanks! Final word of caution, your bill can really add up if you aren't paying attention, which we weren't, but will in the future.

Yelp
Upgraded Sushiland 2.0 with way better services and surprises, friendly staffs and quality food!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have been here a handful of times to show off how awesome and fresh Kura Sushi is to friends and family. Each time, we have had welcoming and friendly service, enjoyed our food, and always left happy and full. I really love the little prize balls and always come by for themes that I enjoy! They also have little server robots that drop off drinks and wasabi. The space is always clean and it is nice and bright for great photos! The sushi, rolls, udon, ramen and the different desserts have always consistently been fabulous and delightful. Never had a bad experience here and that is why we will continue to bring our first timer friends and family. Plus with an amazing app that gets you rewarded in such a quick and fair way, it is hard not to come back! So glad to finally have one in Washington and that they have been doing well since they opened!

Yelp
OMG I know I'm the last person on the planet to try this place but I finally made it to Kura for lunch yesterday! My co-worker and I arrived around 2pm, which was the perfect time because there was no line. That's right, contrary to what apparently happens when you arrive at a busier hour, we just walked right in and sat down. My co-worker had been there before, so she knew the drill, but the hostess was happy to explain how things work at this very lively place. First, the biggest challenge is actually getting your sushi plate off the belt. They come practically hermetically sealed in a clear dome, and it takes a certain level of talent and timing to get the dome unlocked (it takes two hands) while it's simultaneously moving quickly down the belt. I have to admit, I did NOT master this art during our visit and almost lost a couple of choice plates along the way. But no worries, I was able to grab more than my share of yummy little plates of nigiri and rolls. We also ordered some items off of the handy touch screen menu. Their crispy rice was one of my faves, and the hamachi sashimi was fresh and delish too. The special order items arrive on a second, upper level conveyor belt that had me just about convinced I was dining inside a science fiction movie. Unlike other conveyor belt sushi places, you don't leave your plates stacked on the table to remind you what a glutton you've been (and how much you've spent). Instead, dirty plates are inserted into a slot on the table, where they are simultaneously counted and (one might assume) carted off to the kitchen to be cleaned. Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the famous robots that deliver your drinks here. While I found them minorly interesting the first 20 or so times they zipped by our table playing their annoying little robot song, by the time we left I had that *#&$^&# song memorized in a way only parents whose kids were raised on "Baby Shark" can understand. Good food? Check. Interesting experience? Check. Robots and futuristic conveyor belts? Check. I really liked it here. But, I wouldn't recommend for a quiet evening or romantic date. (Unless your date likes the sushi casino vibe.) Bonus for the ample free parking in the garage just outside their door!

Yelp
When it first opened the food tasted great but now whenever I go it seems the quality has dipped. I was quite disappointed the last time I went. The wait isn't long and you can join the waitlist on the app. The inside is pretty spacious. I would not go again unless the quality of food has improved.

Yelp
Make sure you make a reservation otherwise you'll be waiting a while! But it was sure worth the wait! Everything tasted fresh and a little toy comes I think every 15 plates. The sushi cones are my favorite! It's a real fun place to be eating in! It has that happy vibe and feels modern. Wished it was closer to me otherwise I'll be here every week.

Yelp
I really like the revolving sushi concept plus high you can order and it will be sent things on a conveyor belt. With the food though, I feel like it is what you expect from revolving sushi, it's nothing crazy but there are some places that are good and some are not. For service, there was no human interaction at all except at the beginning where you get sitting. I've also noticed that some of the plates of sushi aren't fully clean.

Yelp
I've been to Kura in both Atlanta and Seattle and in terms of quality, it's about the same. The quality isn't going to be the same as a high end sushi place, but it's not bad. I wish they would refill the revolving belt a little more often since some people at the end tend to get stuck with less options or miss out on a lot of popular ones. I'm glad they give the option to direct order specific pieces, but the gimmick is the prizes and the belt so it's more fun to be able to participate. I think the prices are a little bit high for what you get, but you're partially paying for the gimmick of the prizes. The servers and robot that brings your drinks are pretty quick and it's an overall fun place to go to with your friends to hang out and eat some food that comes by on the revolving belt. Sometimes the wait time is horrible so that's something to consider if you're on a time crunch.

Yelp
To be honest, I didn't have high expectations coming here based on reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised! This wasn't the first time I've been to a Kura Sushi but it has been a while. I love how interactive the whole experience is. I forgot about the story that plays on the menu screens as you load more empty plates into the slots. The raccoon story was so adorable! And the prize at the end was very cute, no complaints. I recognize that the sushi menu is quite different from other conveyor belt sushi restaurants. Its fairly similar to the original Japanese one, so I was able to enjoy some sweet shrimp, uni, ikura, negitoro, and many others. I would say that the portions are Japanese size as well, since they make each roll and nigiri on the smaller side. I had to round out the meal with something sweet, so I got the warabi mochi. The texture was perfectly soft and had so much kinako powder, it was amazing. I definitely want to come back on my next visit to town!

Yelp
An awesome sushi experience tucked into the heart of Bellevue -- definitely expect a wait, but loved everything about it. If you have the Kura Sushi app, you can join the waitlist sooner. The staff is great about answering questions and it's super easy to order any beverages or hot items. I was a little skeptical going in that this would be a bit gimmicky or that it would be quantity-over-quality -- BUT I was so proven wrong! Every single thing we had here was really yummy and it was so fun to be able to have so many different bites! A few of my favorites included Garlic Ponzu Salmon, Toro, Yuzu Shrimp, and Shrimp Tempura rolls -- I would definitely prioritize the nigiri over everything else, because that's the most worth it IMHO. The whole experience is gamified and you can trade 15 plates for a small prize. The ambiance is a little loud and chaotic, with everyone figuring out how to pop open the little sushi pods and the constant movement -- I personally just think it adds to all the fun but wouldn't recommend it for a quiet evening. The bill can add up if you're hungry, but it's so worth since you get to try everything -- will definitely be back!

Yelp
A perfect spot for solo dinging. I'm in love with their Seared Salmon Japanese Mayo....and of course we can not forget a cup of cold beer. That's all you need for a hot summer day. Service was 10/10 when I was there. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
I have gone here a few times to say that this place is not the best sushi bar regarding the quality of the sushi. The wait can be up to 2-4 hours long, which is not really worth it in my opinion. The food does not seem that fresh and the portion sizes are pretty small. And it seems like every time we have visited, it had a chemical cleaning smell to the place. Though the place is cute and seems great for kids, it is very tight and overwhelming hectic. The staff is decent and the overall experience is mid.

Yelp
This place is super novel and fun with robots and high tech automated service. I got in at 11:30 on a Friday so didn't experience the wait most people are complaining about. I sat down at a counter seat for one and the server gave me instructions about how to grab plates and I got to eating. Drinks come by robot programmed to your seat! Then like most conveyor belt sushi places you get to eating. The two things I liked the best were the seared eel and seared salmon. Each was a perfect flavor blast of a bite. I didn't like the popcorn shrimp rolls as much - tasted a bit frozen food fishy. But certainly not bad. I also custom ordered a shrimp tempura udon - which comes on a separate top conveyor directly to you. The noodles were nice but the tempura was in the soup too long and was super soggy. All and all worth it for the high tech, automated, experience. It's fun!

Yelp
Sushi here is excellent quality with quite a dozen of selections. Service is fast and friendly Ambiance is fun and family friendly. The conveyor belt sushi you can pick out the plates you want. They have a la carte order from the touch device that will deliver your order via the trolley

Yelp
High tech conveyor belt sushi restaurant with a robot to deliver beverages, a TV screen that plays a cartoon every 5 plates you insert into the slot, and a toy dispenser every 15 plates. They have the best California rolls with real crab. I genuinely go for the food and not the experience.

Yelp
Been here multiple times and it's always been a good time! They have a large attached parking lot so parking has never been an issue. This place is always popping, and I've never waited less than 30 minutes. The sushi itself is pretty good, and there's a wide variety of options. My favorite is the umami beef one. I know it's not seafood, but something about the seasoning is just done right. I'm also a big fan of their soybean mochi ice cream desert! The items you order will always taste better and be fresher than the ones that have been hanging out on the revolving bar. They also have little prizes you can win. For a while it used to be these cute lego sushi, but recently it switched over to some anime items. I was pretty sad and much preferred the lego. Just be mindful of how much you're eating; things add up quick. Beyond that, will definitely be returning!
