"Let’s face it: The sushi at Kura is only of middlin’ quality, but the place sure is fun. The storefront in a strip mall north of the GW Bridge is based on a snaking conveyor belt that brings plates of reasonably priced sushi your way. Note that larger dishes, some not involving fish, can be ordered from the attendants. Seating is along the conveyor belt, but for larger parties there are tables in the back. Be prepared to wait in line." - Melissa McCart, Robert Sietsema

Google
I recently visited Kura Revolving Sushi for the first time, and it was a great experience. We went on a day when there wasn’t a long wait. The staff were really nice and checked in with us to see if we were okay. They even asked if it was our first time there, which was a nice touch. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the sushi as it came around on the conveyor belt. The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. My first experience there was fantastic, and I’m definitely planning to come back. It’s now one of my favorite spots

Google
This place was so much fun and the food was also really good!! I've been wanting to try a revolving sushi bar for awhile now glad we finally made the trip out definitely worth it, a fun experience. I loved the little robot waiter that brings you your drinks

Google
Love it or hate it you'll never forget it. I rolled sushi for 1& 1/2 years of my 40 in hospitality and it was decent quality! And you don't have to commit to a 6 or 8 piece roll, it's like sushi tapas - you pick what looks good to you at the moment. The service staff (including the beverage robot) were fast, friendly, and professional. It's a 5 star experience if even the food and tight quarters are more like 3 stars.

The second we walked in the staff greeted us and immediately it was a fun, enjoyable experience. The food was amazing, and I got to try so many new things that aren’t available at sushi restaurants near me. Everything was fresh and so good. Thank you so much Aika, Ehm, and Alkira for such an amazing experience me and my friends will be back!!😁

Google
Today was my first time eating at the Kura restaurant. The dishes seemed excellent. The service was wonderful. I was served by Rossana who explained the dishes to me very well and I chose the best 10 out of 10. I would return to this place without hesitation. Excellent atmosphere and Very good work team.

Google
Kura Revolving Sushi at Fort Lee is one of my go-to places. I usually visit here when they offer my favorite anime or character collaboration items. I went today for One Piece collaboration items. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Employees were nice, and especially Aika was super friendly. I'll visit here again and again!

Google
They were so sweet and the food was amazing. Me and my friends were so satisfied with the food we ended up finishing 19 plates and 15 got us one of the surprise capsules. we ended up getting the ultra rare capsule and the entire staff was so excited for us!! Thank you so much Aika, Alkira, and Ehm, and we will be back with our Sonny Angels and our Smiskis 💕

Been here quite a few times. A lot have changed since I last came. Signed up to join the waitlist and it said about 35-50 min, which eventually took about 20 min. Now you can order drinks on the pad (including water, which is free) and they are delivered by robots, how cool is that! You can basically get in and out without any contact with the servers. However, I have to say that the food quality has gone down a bit considering the increased price.

Victoria C.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try revolving sushi because it looks so fun to grab the plates-- can confirm: very fun! The robot serving drinks is also a fun touch. What we had: Golden Crunch Roll Premium American Beef Sockeye Salmon Spicy Crunchy Taco Kura Roll Yuzu Jalapeno Tuna Toro Tuna Tonkotsu Ramen Taiyaki Ice Cream Overall a very fun environment--the sushi pieces were definitely better than the specialty rolls!

Kunyan X.

Yelp
Honestly above my expectations this time. A small Kura so expect a wait. Do join the waitlist at the door or in app. It's very straight forward with food: Grab what you eat and you can also order a la carte. There isn't much moving space between tables but overall it was a nice place to eat conveyor belt sushi. I did the check in offer via Yelp and the staff waved the designated item from the bill. Be patient with the staff as they can be very busy.

Stephen D.

Yelp
Can you get better sushi some where else? Yes Will that other place have a robot bringing you drinks? Kind service? Mochi? Beer and sake? Conveyor belts? Computers to order from? Prizes for ordering a shit ton of food? No I love Kura. You will too

Laura D.

Yelp
I am ashamed in myself for not coming sooner. My friend and I went in for a linner (late lunch/early dinner) and it was a treat. They had a lot of wonderful sashimi and sushi items. And we got to try so many delicious items. We could see the staff working hard through the window and putting fresh items onto the conveyor. Be mindful, they didn't carry veggie rolls or any of that, so you might not enjoy it as much. They did though have menu items such as ramens and appetizers to order from. We enjoyed a LOVELY plum wine shot. Highly recommend as a little extra to enjoy your meal. Also may I point out how cute the little robot was whom delivered our waters? Yeah, totally recommended.

Yelp
I've been here about ten times and here are some tips. First, download the app because you can get $5 off every time you accumulate points with the code on your receipt. They can email it to you if you check out via your phone. But make sure you enter the code within a few days or it will expire and you will lose your $5. Also, the handrolls are fresh and warm! You can order via the computer screen and it will slide to your table. The bathrooms are clean and so are the tables. I love the scallops. The only thing is, very few options for low carb. They should provide sashimi everything. The ramen is too salty, but the noodles chewy and good.

Stephen C.

Yelp
My latest obsession has been Kura Revolving Sushi Bar! It's convenient, efficient and delicious, which has me coming back for more. My favorite dishes are the Seared Scallop and essentially any version of the hand rolls. The noodle soups are quite tasty as well but a bit too salty for my taste. If you're close to the 15 plate mark, remember to cross the line so you get the prize that drops down from the box above. The rewards program is also pretty nice and generous for those who visit often!

Yelp
We dined at Kura on a weekday, early birds (before 5 pm). Place was clean, a bit cold. We were promptly seated and given a quick tutorial on how things work. Despite the early hours, there were a few other diners already seated and eating. Sushi parade on the conveyor belt was a bit scarce. It's quite fun watching the tiny plates rolled in front of you. Conveyor belt sushi is fairly new in the northeast (a few of them started popping up in the city about 17 years ago. My first experience with this dining concept was in the West Coast back in early 1990s). We got the first few plates from the belt then ordered the rest. Ordering was easy and the service staff was very helpful. Ordered sushi came on a separate belt and although it's not as fun they tasted better. Will definitely go back.

Hillary B.

Yelp
Fun concept-they have a robot that serves drinks and if you sit at the bar, food orders are slid to you above the revolving sushi bar. Aside from prices that were listed on the screens, I couldn't find the price per plate listed. When I checked out, the revolving plates were $3.90 each. I had the shrimp tempura udon soup, a few plates of rolls and small bites, and the donut dessert, which comes with a scoop of ice cream. Orders came out quickly, which I appreciated. I loved my dessert, but thought the sushi on the belt was a bit stale, so would recommend ordering from the screen.

Aleena S.

Yelp
What a great experience at Kura revolving sushi bar... It's my first time at a conveyor belt sushi place and I'm already planning my next trip! You can select from the revolving collection around you (which has of plenty of options.. seriously so many I could have drained my whole bank account) The service is great with the robot delivery system bringing your drinks (very futuristic) and ambiance is top notch! I had to take a star off because the rice in the nigiri was very soft and would fall apart a lot of the time I would pick it up, but definitely nothing against the fish which was immaculate

Maddi R.

Yelp
Had an interesting lunch experience at Kura Sushi today. The parking lot is huge, so there are lots of parking spaces. The restaurant is a bit small with a couple of booths and a bunch of single seats at the bar. The resturaunt is decorated simply, and the place looks well maintained. Ambience rate 6/10. The sushi comes on a revolving conveyer belt and you can just grab as many plates as you'd like. If you don't want to wait for a specific sushi roll to make its round back to you, you can order it on a tablet for it to be expressed delivered to your table. This goes the same for any non sushi items that are on their separate menu (ie: soup, bento boxes, etc). If you want to order drinks, a robot will deliver it to your table. Once you're done with your plate, you put it into a plate disposal, and the tablet will automatically calculate how much money you've spent. If you need your waiter, you can also ring for help using the tablet. They also had these cute toys that would come to the table for every 15 plates you've had. This high tech futuristic way of ordering and restaurant concept is very cool and unique. The prices vary by each sushi plate, and the prices are also different for their separate menu. Prices are reasonable. The food itself is alright meaning I've had better/fresher sushi. There are some rolls that tasted good, though most of them were average. Food rate 6.5/10. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our waiter told us how to properly grab the plate off the conveyer belt. Most of it is self service, so the waiters only collect your trash or help if you need it. Service rate 8/10. An upsetting thing is that some dishes weren't available, yet the sign for it were on the conveyer belt which was deceiving. Another negative thing is there wasn't much of a sushi selection, so it was definitely limited. Overall, I had a nice time here being I found the restaurant idea to be very fun and intriguing. However, I wouldn't come back here being the food was subpar and I could've paid a cheaper price for better tasting sushi.

Victoria X.

Yelp
Friendly service. Comprehensive ordering system via the touch screen monitor at your table. My party of 4 and I arrived at around 8:30 on a Friday, joined the queue, and waited about 20 minutes before we got the text message to be seated. Note that on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, there is no virtual waitlist; you have to show up in person to drop your name down. The novelty factor of Kura made the whole dining experience very fun. We preferred to order nigiri pieces from the screen vs grabbing off the belt since it felt fresher to us. Somehow, for a party of 4, we spent $90 pp. while it was a fun experience and I'm glad I tried it, I'm not dying to come back

Jessica S.

Yelp
Convenient location with lots of parking space, good affordable sushi, and a fun experience! Download the app to get on the waitlist (usually gets packed during peak dinner time but the line moves fast) and to also get coupons from time to time! All plates are $3.65 and are pretty good portions of fish. They have other non-sushi options like beef, tamago, and self order items like udon. Some plates have specialty sauces and oils like umami oil and yuzu jalapeño! Highly recommend for a quick, casual bite that always satisfies.

Ivan L.

Yelp
Always the cheap eat for Sushi but always satisfy me.$3.65/ dish now and $40/person. The staffs are friendly and patiently explain how the payment and member account works. One thing I don't like is that the floor is soooo sticky, I don't know why

Angelique A.

Yelp
I love this place! So fun, the food is fresh and delicious, even the ramen is top of the class. It's an easy place to go with friends and even kids, the service is on point, the ambiance is light and cheerful. I went with a friend once who essentially said it's "fast food"...which it is, so if you're in the market for haute cuisine you're in the wrong place. Definitely recommend!

Alison K.

Yelp
Came in right when they opened at 10:30am to avoid the wait. We were seated in the center of the restaurant. The food started coming out on the conveyor almost immediately and people started to fill in around us. We ordered drinks and couple of sushi plates from the tablet. Drinks came on the musical robot. The orders from the tablet came quickly. We ended up with 23 plates and got a magnet prize. I enjoyed most items, especially the marinated beef, tuna, shrimp tempura rolls, seared tuna. Wasn't crazy about scallop or sweet shrimp. Mochi dessert was interesting, but felt the egg tart was a little stale. Also tried egg, crispy rice, tuna/egg, fried shrimp and more. Overall, the quality was decent and you get to try a lot of different things. Some items advertised never came out on the belt even though they had domes labeled on the belt. If they aren't offering them, then they should take them off the belt - in particular the seasonal items (wagyu, lobster roll). Maybe they only offer at peak times but it's such a tease to wait and wait, so we just left when we were full. I was disappointed that not everything was able to order from the tablet either. Should have called the server to ask if those specials were available or not. I'd come again, maybe earlier in the month, when the monthly specials are higher in supply.

Ezra H.

Yelp
1st time and it was interesting! The place is cozy, sit in a booth with friends and a little server bot brings drinks/items to your table. They explain everything to you. Just follow directions and it's easy once you get the hang of it. You can get plates on when they come around and even order on the tablet special items and it will shoot over to you on the higher area! (You'll see it makes sense) The only thing was the rolls sometimes don't get filled ASAP, and go by empty. So it maybe better getting a few plates from the top train area when you order. I recommend going with a friend or two. The price for 15 plates is about 60.00 we spent maybe 85 that night between 2 people. (Soup and desserts, and fries/drinks added up) free refills on soda just don't order them again on the screen for refills. Press cal button for server.

Mike H.

Yelp
High tech conveyor belt sushi restaurant with a robot to deliver beverages, a TV screen that plays a cartoon every 5 plates you insert into the slot, and a toy dispenser every 15 plates. They have the best California rolls with real crab. I genuinely go for the food and not the experience.

Ashley H.

Yelp
The wait here is so long but worth it. I was excited to try out a revolving sushi bar after experiencing it in Japan! There's something about being able to pick up the food as it passes in front of you and just watching food continue to revolve around and around! There's so much joy to that! There's a cute little robot that brings you your drinks. My favorites were all the beef sushi and warabimochi. I never had the warabimochi before but it was so refreshing that we ordered like three plates. When you're done with your plates, you throw it down this hole and it counts in accruing for a toy! What a reward!

Kelly P.

Yelp
One of my favorite place for sushi in NJ! The sushi quality is not great as fancy seafood restaurant, but it's fun to pick your sushi. Also, if you order in the screen, it will automatically serve you in front of your table. Also, the robot will bring you a drink. However, they don't accept reservation. You have to use the app to write down your name, and the wait time is usually an hour (especially during the weekend). If you are planning to visit here, just make sure to check the wait time before you arrive.

Danielle N.

Yelp
Amazing lunch with my kids, ages 7 and 9! Servers were very friendly and helpful. My children loved the novelty of the conveyer belt and the robot who delivered their drinks. The drinks include free refills. The green iced tea was delicious and the perfect refreshment on a summer day. The sushi is delicate and the rice perfectly seasoned. We can't wait to go back!

Anna K.

Yelp
Fun and unique experience. Came on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. We put our name on the waitlist and our table was ready after about twenty minutes. Not bad. All the sushi we tasted was fresh and ordered the sushi taco off the menu which was certainly the highlight. I tried the jersey city location before But enjoyed this one more cause it seemed to be smaller and more intimate vs hectic in jersey city.

Alex F.

Yelp
This chain carousel sushi restaurant is amazing. Service is super friendly, and the place has a great vibe. The sushi is really good quality and the food you order on the side comes out in a timely manner on a separate conveyer. If you want an experience with a top-notch sushi carousel joint, this place is it

Scott B.

Yelp
Did someone say conveyer belt sushi?!? Ummm, yes!! If you haven't hit up Kura, i highly recommend it. Now, don't go there thinking you're gonna get Omakase because Kura does not serve gourmet sushi. What they do serve is yummy, run-of-the-mill sushi that you can select yourself from among plates that travel on a conveyer belt past your table! How fun is that?!?! Very, IMHO. When those shiny plates pass by your table or bar seat, your eyes will be drawn to the perfectly made sushi of all varieties. It's eye candy indeed! And everything we tried was pretty yummy!! Some converter belt sushi joints price their plates according to color. At Kura, every plate is the same price (somewhere around $3.50 each). Definitely a bonus, as you won't be breaking the bank when you visit Kura. Final thoughts: Try this place! It's fun and yummy!!

Janine C.

Yelp
Such a cool concept and fun atmosphere. The food is good quality and is convenient and fast service. The collaborations they have adds a nice touch especially with the prizes. Reasonable prices and portions so you can try various things. Definitely recommend!

Kat J.

Yelp
We got here 15 min before Kura opened on a Saturday and there was already a line of 15ish people waiting for it to open. The door opened promptly at 10:30 and we were seated shortly thereafter. You order everything on the monitor attached to the tables, the beverages are delivered via the robot, while the food travels down to you via the conveyor belt on top. There is a long conveyor belt that snakes through the entire restaurant where you can grab any dishes that comes by. Is the sushi amazing? Not really. But this is such a fun place to dine, especially with kids. They get excited whenever the beverage robot rolls by, and love to take the dishes off the conveyor belt. Moreover you get a "prize" after 15 dishes. There are some standouts, like the tuna or salmon Yukhoe sushi. Overall, the fish is fresh and the service is prompt. Would definitely recommend!

Vicky L.

Yelp
Been always wanted to try a revolving sushi place! As someone who does not eat raw fish, Kura has a great selection on rolls with cooked fish. Food was great! The place is a bit small and the time for waiting could be long. You need to go in and put your name and how many people of onto a kiosk and they will call/text you by your number. Once you are seated there is a cute machine going around bringing cups of water. If this is the first time there, the staff is really nice and explains the process. Your bill is based on the number of plates you eat and there is a spot that you throw the plates in and there is a screen that shows how many plates you've had. Would love to come again for lunch! I heard the lines for dinner is long.

Jacky C.

Yelp
Was hoping this location would be better than my experience in DC. When they first opened a few years ago, it was a three hour wait, so I never tried this location until now. There's still a wait list, but not as long as it once was before. The selling point is that the sushi and other items are served via conveyor belt. The sushis are $3.65 per green plate, which has been increased a few times over the past year. It was $3.50 three weeks ago. Specialty plates are the red plates and cost more, which varies in pricing. I would go for the experience, otherwise the sushi itself is mediocre quality. Also, try to sit closer to table 1 and not table 29. We were put at the last table (29) and essentially got whatever was not picked by the other 28 tables. We essentially was forced to constantly order on the touch screen.

Rou F.

Yelp
Servers were very helpful and kind especially Ehm and Emmy. The food was amazing as well. We will be coming back!

Carrie H.

Yelp
Ok I don't eat sushi so why come here ? I was intrigued by the dining concept! A robot to serve my drinks. Uh oh. She's being charged right now . So a human beings our drinks. Thank goodness I went here with some pros or I would be lost They chose 20 different plates off the conveyor belt while I ordered my garlic rice and chicken dumplings which were good They all seemed happy with their food and when you hit 20 plates a surprise comes out of a machine which also didn't work so we had to request service for our prize Booths can only hold 4 so I wouldn't go with any larger of a group They don't rush you out and the line to sit could be quite long ... no reservations. Suggest a weekday late lunch / early dinner Although the concept is cool they're still dealing with breakdowns / charge ups and if you sit on the opposite side of where the food / belt comes out of the kitchen there's a chance you'll never get what you want as it is scooped up before the belt reaches you ! This did happen to my group I guess we would have to ask for service person to grab it for us ? Anyway it was an experience and I wouldn't mind going once more to assist someone with the "experience" but just not my thing. Sushi eaters love it !!!

The Critical J.

Yelp
PROS: This place is amazing! Loads of parking, nice staff, food tasted nice, nice prices, large variety of stuff on the menu and conveyor belt. You can order from the monitor at the table or take food off the conveyor belt. They even have a slot for you to slide empty plates into CONS: They don't take reservations despite being busy during dinner. They struggle cleaning off the table periodically as we eat. In order to get a birthday dessert it's like a mission to request it on their app. The booths are tiny and can only COMFORTABLY fit 4 average size people OVERALL: Nice place to go to, but just be aware of some of the restrictions. Food is amazing and staff is friendly but they aren't that attentive

YingLinn C.

Yelp
I totally understand the hype and awe in food being transported out onto a conveyer belt style and being able to take what you want. Your eyes are feeding your belly, and that's the most fun!! However, when it came to sushi quality and the taste of the pieces, I truly felt that it was slacking. Salmon was cut very thin, so two pieces wouldn't even match a typical size of a regular sashimi piece. I do want to say, their fatty tuna (you had to order on the iPad) was definitely delicious and we had lots of that!! Overall, for approximately 100$ for 17 plates, I think that there are better bang for your bucks out here in NYC.

Amy G.

Yelp
Mount are transported into the future! There are wait staff but most everything is sent to you by robot. When you are seated there is a screen to order items not on the revolving sushi bar. After 15 plates you get a prize. The fried rice was the favorite in my family. Se 0rdered to share but my son devoured the food we had to order another one so the adults could eat

Evelyn M.

Yelp
Maybe it's because I've never been to a revolving sushi bar but I was so happy when I got here! I had low expectations because sushi is best freshly made (esp sashimi) so I don't know if I would've loved sushi that was revolving all around the restaurant and picking up dust. However, I loved this place. I want to go back because I had so much fun. The second I sat down I immediately started to grab some plates from the conveyor belt and started scarfing them down. After you reach 15 plates, you get a little reward from the tube thing. After struggling, my boyfriend and I managed to get 30 plates and we got cute little sushi legos to build together! Excellent place - can't wait for them to open a place in Manhattan. The only way that I could've gotten here was driving, and it was located in a weird place, like next to a school, but off of the bridge. ALSO. I loved the robot that delivered the drinks. It was the highlight of my boyfriends day.

Mari T.

Yelp
This is my first time going to this location that is closer to NYC. It is about 15 mins drive from Mitsuwa which my friends and I went to before coming here. This location is the first location open in NJ. It is quite smaller than the ones I have been to down south. It was very busy when we went around 4ish on a Sunday. But never the less, the food was good. The food on the conveyor belt was full stock as it goes around the tables. It is pretty much the same as the other Kura. I have been to it before. We still enjoy our stay. We ate like 35 plates of sushi among the 5 of us. It took about 15 to 30 mins to wait for a table. That was a bit overwhelming since there was not much room to stand around. People stand by the window as we watch the little robot trying to drive by us back and forth since there was a bit of "traffic". But it was cute to watch how patient the robot was as it wait for people to step away from it. Haha... I do wish the tables and space were much bigger. With 5 people at the table, we were squished. But it is impossible since the restaurant is small. Overall, we all enjoyed the food. The staffs were very attentive and very busy as well. Great service!

Gi Yung B.

Yelp
Food was 2/5 Service was 4/5 Ambiance was 4/4 (2+4+4)/5=3 This is a place you come for the experience and not necessarily food if you typically eat at sushi places like yasuda, gari, sushi by M, Sushi by Bou, .. My in laws wanted to come for the experience and we had fun. :)

Jenny N.

Yelp
Come for the experience, not for the quality of the food. If youve never had revolving sushi before, it's a fun overall experience. Food - some of the rice was cold, bland, fell apart too easily and hard on the sushi. I recommend the eel, yellowtail I wish they utilized Yelp waitlist instead of having to come in person to add yourself to the list. So I recommend arriving early to do so or asking the earliest person in your party to add yourself to the list. I arrived early, so I placed myself (for a party of 4) on the waitlist at 4:38 and was texted at 5:14 that our table was ready. Experience; placing the plates into the slot was fun and the prize was fun too.

Frances U.

Yelp
This place actually reminds me of Japan in that if they could serve you without anyone ever physically serving you (eg everything is automated), they would. You could reserve your seat through a machine, you place your orders through a machine, you grab food from the conveyor belt or a revolving robot serves your orders. Definitely come here with family or a group of friends. You get a prize if your plate count reaches 7, and then 15. They have an interesting selection of sushi, some more popular than others so if you see something you like, grab it, otherwise it may take a while before you see that item again.

Katy L.

Yelp
The first time I've been to a Kura was in Kyoto, Japan with my host family a few years back. I was excited to see that there are Kura restaurants in the states as well & have been wanting to try this location. I stopped by on a Friday around 5 pm & even then there was a bit of a wait for a party of 9 (that ended up being split into two random booths of 5 & 4). The store was a lot smaller than what I was expecting considering my previous experience at Kura in Japan. While I did see a robot waiter(?) blasting music cutely rolling around, it never came to our table. Kura is located next to a plaza parking lot so it was convenient to park & grab bubble tea at the Kung Fu Tea next door while we waited. Unfortunately, my party was seated at the back near the end of the conveyer belt so many of the items were already gone by the time it got to us. Thankfully you can just order from the screen above your table & they'll send your order out on a little zooming tray. But half the fun of going to a revolving sushi restaurant is the ability to pick the items off the conveyer belt as they go by, so admittedly it was a little disappointing for many plates we wanted to be empty by the time it came to us. The sushi overall tastes ok but not particularly memorable. I found the rice to be a bit too soft or maybe overly wet? The rice fell apart fairly easy which made it a bit difficult to eat. The selection is definitely smaller than the one in Japan but that's to no fault of the restaurant I assume (would have been fun to see a natto maki or something). Iirc my group liked the following items: -toro -salmon toro -seared beef w/yakiniku sauce -seared scallop jpn mayo (had a kind of smoky taste) -shrimp tempura -aburi eel w/miso cream cheese My party blazed through plates so fast and ultimately stacked 60 plates. Every 15 plates or so, a capsule would pop out with a little toy inside (we didn't end up receiving 1/4 of the capsules, for some reason the one at 30 plates never came out). The plate inserting/prize function is just as fun as it is in other locations. The price of plates also definitely end up adding up to a hefty total without realizing. You can choose to pay directly with the screen above as well. Overall I'd say Kura is a fun eating experience with friends but if you're looking for high quality sushi I'd look elsewhere.

Yelp
Order from the touch screen to have a really fun time with sushi. Love: - Being served by a robot! Yes, your drink will be delivered by a robot - Fresh ordered sushi from the touchscreen arrive to your table within minutes via a mini belt next to your table - Get a cute prize after eating 15 plates Like: - The seasonal items are good but often times are not available. They only put 2 plates at a time and unless you're near the start of the belt, it'll be a while until you get it For further consideration: - Standard sushi rolls are a no-go. For the price of the plates, you should stick to non-traditional rolls/food as you'd get a better experience - There are multiple pages of options on the touchscreen system so ask your host to help if you aren't familiar with how to use it!

Yelp
We went back to Kura sushi after a while for thanksgiving dinner. Luckily we got a table right away. Things haven't changed much, but I felt the quality is not up to the mark anymore. All the sushi tasted average or below average. We ordered two takoyaki, first one was all mushy. The prime beef sushi beef tasted just bad. The rice on most of the sushi are cold and unappealing. The only thing I like about the place is, I can get small plates, that allows me to try different kind of items at the same time.

Yelp
Fresh, lots of selections, quick services. It does get super busy though so put your name on the list or expect a wait! The sushi's are good and the prices are great too. I love the warm food options and dessert options too. Too bad I live further away now or else I'd frequent here all the time.

Yelp
As "sushi" restaurant, this is not even 3 star place but fun place and great for children to feel different types of restaurant experience. That maybe apply even novice adults sushi eaters. Sushi plates come around by belt conveyers and take whatever you like. Each sushi plates are only with two pieces of nigiri or half a roll or so. Each plates are flat price of $3.55. and some additional appetizers and other Japanese dishes at different prices. Sushi rice is not right consistency so not sour but a little sweet. Cut of fish on top of nigiri also not right but that comes with the price. Some grocery store sushi packs are better made but still this is a fun establishment than restaurants. I gave 3 stars with that fun establishment angle for this Kira Sushi.

Yelp
This is definitely a good spot to visit for sushi you can eat right away! However, that is as long as you check the waitlist and put your name on the list if needed! Kura is location that can get pretty busy, so I highly suggest downloading the Kura app and check the waitlist ahead of time (even an hour 1+ ahead at potential peak times), if you need to put your name down. If you just decide to visit Kura blindly, you may be in store for a longer wait. Once you are able to enter, you can start getting the plates of food right away! For any first-timers, they do go over how to get the plates off the conveyer belt, as it may be tricky initially. Also, they have a menu at the top where you can order items that either you cannot wait to get off the conveyer belt, or items that are not the same price as a plate. I honestly typically do not look to get most of the hot food or appetizers, and eat mostly items on the plates. In general, the quality of the food can vary depending on the items you get. I typically shy away from the maki rolls and opt for the sushi pieces and handrolls. Some of my favorite items include the Toro, Salmon Toro (both are fatty pieces with more flavor!), along with the eel since I do enjoy eating that! Also, for me, I feel some of the higher quality items are either the ones that there for a limited time. If Bluefin Tuna is available, get that too! What is also nice here is that there are promotions with various companies that they partner with for some of the "Gatcha" prizes that you get. Not familiar with Gatcha? Well here, when you eat 15 plates, you will receive a small ball that contains an item! Be sure to check their social media to see what company they are partnering with to get your item! They typically like to partner with various Japanese companies and anime shows, so be on the lookout there! Overall, you would be satisfied as long as you know what items you want to eat ahead of time! If you will be trying a bunch of items for the first time, there are some that are not the best to get, but at least you know for next time that plate comes down the conveyer belt!

Yelp
Love this place. Must try at any of their locations! This sushi bar has a long contempt belt that runs throughout the restaurant. We waited about 45 mins for lunch on a Saturday. You can't check in early unfortunately. This sushi spot is so fun and so delicious. I don't eat anything raw but from the looks of it, they look very fresh. They use all real crab meat which I appreciate. If there is an item you want and it's not on the belt/it's not fast enough, you can order it on their computerized menu and another belt will send it straight to you. You can also order water and other drinks and a robot will bring it and serve your drinks! It's so cute and efficient. Along with sushi, we also ordered their ramen. The ramen is great! It's not too salty compared to many other places. We also got dessert, green tea mochi ice cream (yummmm), Japanese donut with vanilla ice cream and warabi Mochi. I came with another person and we ate a total of about 23 plates and I got a free Lego lanyard. 100% recommend this place.

Yelp
Fun Revolving Sushi Bar @kurasushi_usa @kurasushi_usa where high tech meets sushi. $3-4 per plate and $8-10 for large entrees Drinks are delivered by a robot If you don't see the dish you want, you can order from touchpad atop your table. Food get shot out to you on second conveyor belt. Insert your plates into a slot in the table after you are done, a cute animation plays per 5 plates. Win a prize per 15 plates. It could be lanyard or Lego set. Payment via screen is a snap My kids love it! Tag a friend you'd go with! Tips: 1. A popular place and getting busy during weekends / holidays. You have to physically add yourself to the virtual queue in the store. We waited 1.5 hours on MLK. 2. You may spend more $ as kids love the prize. Manage expectations before heading there. 3. New location at Jersey City but each plate is $3.75 vs here $3.5. 2151 Lemoine Ave, Fort Lee, NJ Free parking

Yelp
You either love Kura or you hate it. I, for one, love it. Huge fan. Really. Is it the best quality sushi? No, of course not, but it's fun, flavorful, delicious, and at moments it can feel and taste expensive. And if you're hungry? Obviously can be very expensive I can smash down 10-15 plates easy (all to get a lanyard, sticker, or keychain lol), a mixture of the sushi, another type of appetizer, and a dessert. Whoever I come with can rival that, and together the bill can reach like $130ish give or take. I can't resist the toro, umami oil salmons, and garlic ponzu cuts. Very very very good. Highly recommend. If you come when they have the donuts with brown sugar syrup on the ice cream, DOOOO TRY. On the other hand... If you're new to the sushi/conveyor belt and want to try it? Don't come Friday-Sunday. You check in using and ipad, and estimated time of seating varies 45 minutes-120. But I noticed it can usually be 20 minutes less the estimate. It's a quick process. You get your text, you get seated, you choose your food, order your drink and get served by the robot, repeat, pay and leave. Very unique experience to try for those who like trying these kinds of things!

Yelp
Quality of sushi is average, but you can't expect much especially with the price point. It's a fun experience to bring your family to if there aren't any revolving sushi spots near you. Their online waitlist via the app was also not working as of last week so you have to sign in in person then wait. Seating is subpar because if you come with a party of 6 or 7, they try to will squish you into a booth meant for 4. They don't have any tables bigger than the booths.

Yelp
oh what happened with the manager's promise??? to my previous review. Manager said give us a chance. nope! their food quality went down again. Please take a look at and tell me this is a Japanese Sushi restaurant job.... i think a sushi at a grocery store can do a better job. I dine around 7:30 but many plate were not available. This is Kura sushi but the food is far from its name...

Yelp
Really fun family-friendly sushi experience! We wanted to try Kura Sushi when we visited Tokyo, but there was a waitlist (we didn't know about the app!) Needless to say, I was thrilled to find one close to home. Even though it was busy, there was relatively no wait. It's very cute inside, with a Dragonball-Z theme (this probably switches out - we've been before and there was a Naratu theme). They have a plentiful variety of sushi, hot foods like ramen and fried appetizers, and a small selection of beer/beverages (soft drinks are served by a cute robot). You can sit in a booth or at a bar-style table top. Both options are conveyor-style and self serve (although you can order directly from a digital menu as well). Servers Ehm, Jonathan, and Milagros are friendly and helpful if you need assistance. Highly recommend Kura for a one-of-a-kind afternoon or evening out!
