This place is great, been plenty of times, this location can be busy since it's by a bunch of Asian stores as well, but the quality is still there. I went for the Kirby collab this time around and it was really good, special rolls were delicious. The price really depends on your appetite, if you come not super hungry you could spent below 15$ if you wanted as each plate is about 4$ but it definitely can rack up quickly!

Been here twice and its gotten better each time. Nice vibe and the robot server is a nice touch. The seared salmon is out of this world. Just about every dish was great. But it’s very easy to overeat so be careful. Each dish is about $3-$4

Sept 2025 - it's a unique experience. Check out the pics and videos you'll see what makes it fun. We were seated near the end of the conveyor so it took longer that expected to eventually get the roll you wanted. You can order off the menu which cost the same and it comes faster on the top conveyor. (See the video) the service was by waiter and robot (see the video). The sushi was good ( not great) BC it was sloppily made. The atmosphere was fun. The plate accounting for your check was cool. (See the video) overall it was fun and would be great for a first date.

I had a great experience at Kura. I had been wanting to try the revolving sushi bar for a few years now. We placed all of our orders on the monitor that was at our booth. Everything arrived fast. The sushi was fresh and delicious and the plum wine was great as well.

@kurasushi_usa is a spot we are a fan of, specially the kids love it, revolving sushi bar in which you get changed per plate. large selection of items on a revolving conveyor belt. Also the drink robot is pretty cool aswell.

Google
The hygiene was terrible, and I sat at the table trying to eat salmon for almost 10 minutes, but the more I ate, the less there was. Only empty plates were spinning around. I was so annoyed that I simply couldn't stay there any longer.

Google
Phenomenal and Fun experience, my family of 4 including two children had an awesome time. We enjoyed more than 15 plates and each dish was yummy. I’ve been a couple of times and the servers are AWESOME 🤩 Thanks Joesph and Anthony. You gotta try the Owee Gooey Butter Cake all I can say is OMG!!!!! We will see yall soon.

Google
I was really looking forward to trying this revolving sushi restaurant, but the experience was unfortunately ruined by an extremely strong bleach odor throughout the dining area. The smell was overwhelming and made it very difficult to enjoy the food—or even stay comfortably seated. While cleanliness is important, the level of chemical odor was excessive and concerning in a place where food is served. We ended up cutting our visit short. I hope management can find a better balance, because the concept is great, but this experience was very disappointing.

Yelp
1. Service - friendly staff which includes hostess and waiters. For the most part, you only deal with them at the beginning when you're seated and when they bring out your drinks. On occasion, they may bring out specialty food items or whenever you ask for the check. 2. Price - they charge you per plates ordered, and so most sushi are of the same price. 3. Ambiance - it feels like eating at a diners, but with assembly belts moving by your table. This is a unique concept. Something I have seen in Asia, but my first seeing it here in Houston. 4. Food - if you're hungry, and you want something fast and healthy, this will be a good place to go to. This is good sushi, but it's not upscale sushi. 5. Cleanliness - we sat near the kitchen and there was a strong bleach smell coming from the kitchen. I was pretty grossed out by this smell. My first visit was not like this. I wish they started cleaning after the place was closed. The bleach smell was my only complaint, but overall it's not a terrible experience. I would come back.

Yelp
Kura sushi has changed over the years, and although the sushi is decent, it is actually quite expensive for the quality and the amount of food you get. Most plates are $3.60+ (as of December 2025), so expect to pay at least $50 for your meal, not including tax+tip, whereas, you could get 2 better quality rolls at an equivalent restaurant or better for about the same total price. This place gets a low score in terms of cleanliness. I ordered a hot water and the cup I had had a stain and something floating on the bottom even before I touched the drink. I also saw flies around the conveyer belt - the food was covered thankfully, but gave me an uneasy feeling. We ordered 15 plates, the total coming out to be $58 for 2 people. I left feeling just full enough. If you're looking for a quick bite, come here (although you'll need to take into account waiting time for a table). Save your money and go to the AYCE sushi down the street for the same price.

Yelp
Dirty, pricy, and gross. Fun to pick the plates up but not fun to eat. Food did not taste good at all, the food we had to pay 8-10$ for didn't count towards a prize ball? (We had to have 15 plates to get a prize ball) all the meat was very very chewy and rubbery. There were flies flying all on the warm sushi and the napkin holder had some type of sauce on it. But all the staff was very friendly and helpful! In the end, we ended up just going and eating at McDonalds.

Yelp
Food was great, timely and reasonably priced. Our robot waiter was excellent and did a great job of delivering our drinks. The ordering screen was easy to use and provided an excellent selection of options. The conveyor belt delivery is fun to watch especially if you have kids with you and the 'gift' for 15 and 25 plates dispensed from above the table is a novel idea. Overall, the place was fairly clean and the staff very accommodating. Not too much noise for the lunch ctowd.

Yelp
Let me start by saying, it's a super cool experience & the great idea. But it's a "Once & Done". You walk in, they seat you, and the experience begins. They have the robot that brings you drinks, the conveyor built of endless sushi rotating through the restaurant, and deliver is by automation as well if you custom order. This is not ideal of big groups. From the tables I saw it's made for groups of 4 (maybe 5 if small children). The reason for 3/5 stars.... just not a lot of variety or popular sushi options. So the conveyor built is labeled with 2-4 plates of each sushi roll. So you know what you're getting as it moves around. (See pix). You simply push the lid open button & take the plate. if there is something you want that has been out of stock by the time it gets to you, simply order it on the touch screen & there is another belt above the conveyor belt that will deliver it straight to your table (and I must say it was less that 3min on the 2 items we did that for - QUICK & EFFICIENT). We were a lil under impressed in the options though. No RockNRolls & rolls that we are accustomed to at Sushi Restaurant, the menu was very limited. However we all found 2-3 rolls that we really enjoyed! Price is decent...and it's cool cuz it gives you the chance to try everything in small portions or share easily & so easy to get more. So awesome cool experience...but up your variety & sushi game :)

Yelp
This is my 2nd or 3rd time here. The first was for an Elite event. They weren't busy at all today so no waiting I was immediately seated. The uniqueness of this place is there is a conveyor that moves around the seated area with sushi already on it or you can order from a touch pad and it will arrive on another conveyor as stop right in front of you. That's the gimmick that keeps me coming. I had two types of sushi, Shrimp Avacado roll and Snow Crab California rolls and i throughly enjoyed both. The price ran @$3.50 per order. I will definitely return
google avatar

Marianela G.

Yelp
It was definitely entertaining seeing the dishes go around and picking what we wanted. We enjoyed the food, the taste and quality. I really liked that you can order what you want separately as their service is great. Will go back again!!

Yelp
Definitely a one of a kind place out in Katy. You can't find too many rotating sushi places out here and this definitely set the bar high! The service was wonderful and they came when we needed them, albeit not that much to begin with. Other than that, the ambiance was cute, japan like, and very inviting all around. A wonderful experience for sure!

Yelp
Very cool concept! We saw this place as we were leaving the movies and decided to give it a try. I've only seen these revolving places in movies/ tv so was excited to experience it! We came here kind of late so it wasn't super busy, but the service was friendly and quick. There are a ton of options. You can pick your food off of the conveyer belt, or order them on the iPad at your table. We ordered a little of both, and loved everything. I'm not a sushi expert, but everything tasted great! My only possible negative was the edamame was cold which I'm not used to. It was pretty affordable too! Definitely worth giving it a try if you're in the area.

Yelp
Use to love this place, but the delivery service has become unacceptable. Second delivery to the wrong house. Right house number, wrong street! Either the drivers are stupid, or they cannot read English to understand street names. Called to try and fix the issue, but their "automated" phone system simply loops and no one picks up...ever. I sent an email to corporate, and they within 30 minutes they replied stating a ticket had been submitted and problem solved. Nope.

Yelp
The food was ok the service was nice and it was a fun atmosphere for the kids. It might not be a great sushi spot... but it IS a fun experience for the family.

Yelp
Meh service. You do everything yourself anyway, including ordering waters off the machine. Self checkout didn't work. Table trash wasn't cleared. The "prize" balls contained a tiny plastic Kura keychain.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Kura since forever. I'm so glad they opened one in Katy Asian Town and it definitely did not disappoint! I came with a friend on a Friday night and it was already busy. I used the waitlist on their app and made it very seamless and fast. We got sat shortly after. They actually don't have real servers and everything is either on the conveyor belt or gets delivered by a robot! It was such a cool concept I haven't seen before. They have a lot of options of nigiri and rolls. They even had some special rolls that seemed really interesting and unique. However, a lot of things were out and we waited for a while to see if they eventually would be restocked on the belt, though they never were. You can even order on the digital menu they have on the tablet. I got the crispy spicy tuna through that and it was great! Prices are fairly reasonable too. Definitely want to come back and try again!

Yelp
6/9/25 visit was one of my worst visits. First of all, it would be nice to take your guest drink order after you seated them. Instead it was a self service. I'm a regular to this location even tho I'm closer to the westchase location. Where was my regular waitress Chai? There are no problems when she's here. She's very proactive and on point. And 2 times they missed my order. But it wasn't that big of an issue due to the lead waiter solving the issue right away. Kudos to him. Talked to the manager about this ordeal, response is just an excuse due to 3 new people started today. But seems to me you guys hired 3 new people with no knowledge of customer service. But alot of time to be talking as a group in the front? My wife had to ask you to come over to clean our plates Off our table cuz she neatly stacked it and we were running out of room due to more food we were ordering. I don't think I will be returning to this location till they improve their customer service. Thumbs down Btw, I never write reviews about poor service but this day, it was just bad.

Ian D.

Yelp
Majority of the fish is bad / low frozen grade. However they thaw it doesn't help either because it's room temperature so long that the color changed drastically even when you order it. The yellow tails was yellow yellow and tasted fishy and warm. The toro (fatty) tuna was the same way, brown color and warm ready for bacteria to grow on it. Overall the quality was bad. Whoever is serving the sushi doesn't even know what's leaving the kitchen or doesn't care. If you want risk of a stomach ache eat the raw fishes. Even the salmon changed to frozen salmon. Low grade and horrible for sushi. Won't be trying it again.

Yelp
I used to frequent Kura like once weekly but haven't been since I moved away. I was in town visiting family and decided to get some cheap sushi and my favorite dessert: warabimochi. It was kinda slow at 2 pm on a weekday which was understandable. We were seated immediately where we ordered the usual, seared scallops, seared salmon, sweet shrimp with yuzu. I was super looking forward to the mochi and it finally came. There were like 5 pieces and they were not chewy and very doughy. It was terrible as I ate two and left the rest. I don't know what happened to these mochi but they felt old. I mean, how could you messed up on these?!?! Never going back to this location!

Yelp
I'll start by saying this place was so much fun and the food was great. It was really nice that all the plates were simply the same price (usually at these places plates are a different coloring priced from $3 to $9 each). The robot that brings your drinks was a real experience to watch and the "prizes for plates" aspect was really fun. The waitress was really helpful explaining how to pull the plates off and order off the screen. I'm giving it 5 stars for those aspects.... However, I'd really like management to take note of this.... our meal did not end well because we inadvertently got something with what we assume was cream cheese in it that wasn't labeled as such, hours before we had to get on a flight home with someone who is **severely** lactose intolerant.... we did see some items going around that clearly had a stick of cream cheese in them and was labeled as being a roll with cream cheese...we have no idea what it was that we got that had cream cheese or was cross contaminated but I wish for the sake of people with food allergies/severe intolerances that whatever we got had been labeled better because it really put a damper on the rest of our quick trip to Houston and made it really hard to even make our flight home. :(

Yelp
I have to admit, I have a love hate relationship with this place. I'm a sushi lover through and through, and when the craving hits, there's something fun about sitting down and having food constantly revolving in front of you. That instant gratification is probably the only reason I keep coming back. Now , the food. The biggest issue here is the quality. It's not terrible, but it reminds me of the kind of sushi you'd grab at HEB or a grocery store after it's been sitting out for a while. The portions of raw fish are usually small, and the cuts tend to look a rough. To be fair, I've noticed some improvement recently, but even with that, it's still a disappointing. Every time I try something new, I almost always end up sending one plate back because I got a little too bold with my choices but It's just kind of expected at this point. Service-wise, there's not much to say. It's basically self-serve, and while I don't mind that, it's worth mentioning if you've never been. Don't come expecting attentive service or anyone checking in you're on your own. One thing that consistently gets to me though is the smell. Every time I walk in, there's this overwhelming chemical odor, like they just cleaned, but somehow the tables still feel sticky and kind of gross. It's headache inducing and takes away from the experience. And while I'm at it can we talk about the WiFi situation? I came here recently as a college student hoping to study while grabbing some quick sushi, only to find out they don't offer WiFi. It's 2025. Even McDonald's has WiFi.... do better... All in all, it's a solid three stars. I was a little surprised to see how highly it's rated, but I get it the convenience of instant sushi is hard to pass up, even if the quality isn't the best. I really hope they take feedback like this seriously, because this place has so much potential. I'd be more than happy to bump my rating if they stepped up their game.
google avatar

Yelp
It smells like dirty mop water, the workers never come ask for help or smile, and it's really dirty and gross. The food is not fresh, it's old, and it's not good. If I could I would rate it zero stars. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE!!!!
google avatar

Queena Z.

Yelp
Honestly the worst sushi I've ever had this year. I came in with low expectations because it's revolving sushi but it was worse than I expected. The tissue box, wasabi and soy sauce containers on the table were super dirty and sticky. Nobody gave us water or asked us when we sat down. The food was just a no. Much worse than other revolving sushi places I've been to. The softshell crab tempura was 70% batter. The only good thing was the wasabi but I question its cleanliness because there was some stuff in there that's not green.
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
I like Kura. The concept of revolving sushi is engaging and entertaining, and the sushi is pretty good. The staff are always friendly and helpful with ordering, especially if it's your first time. This time I popped in to only have their warabi mochi for dessert since I just ate dim sum next door. Unfortunately, this mochi was not good. First, the bowl wasn't even full like I've seen when ordering this previously and the texture was way too soft, almost mushy. It should be more firm. It was a letdown, but I'll return for their sushi.
google avatar

Live2D Z.

Yelp
Pros. Customer service was great. Every 15 plates eaten you will get prize. Cons. My seat had sticky stuff on it also hair. Sushi choices from the belt is very few. Most sushi were tasting very plain. Ordered from the menu 3 times and got 1 time wrong. When I got seated the waitress was kind enough to explain how the belt works. She was very nice but I didn't get water or asked what to drink until I realized you have to get it from the menu. Then normally a robot will come running to give you your drinks. It's cool because you don't see that very often. When I was eating I noticed the sushi on the belt lack variety. It felt like it's just a few styles keeps coming back. But, I guess it's not a big deal because you can order off their menu at anytime. I went at Halloween time, they decorated the inside a little which is nice but one of the waitor was in costume and walking around with both of his hands in his fuzzy cow outfit, too comfortable that I thought it was a guy walking around to check out the place. Wasn't sure if he worked there.

Daniela D.

Yelp
10/10 I wish I could give more stars because this place deserves it! The food is AMAZING, everything is fresh and delicious, every single server was smiling and welcoming. Managers are there to support and making sure the whole experience is memorable. I recommend this place 1000% If you haven't tried it, you are missing out,

A V.

Yelp
Great concept- however poorly managed. The idea of this place was great- with the revolving belt, so great that I think they forgot the food still needed to be edible, and there still needed to be some sort of customer service. They sit you down at your table, and after that you will never get a waiter again to see if you need anything, refills, etc. the waiters congregate in corners and don't help at all. They do not do a good job at maintaining the place either. Some plates are difficult to get off the belt- mostly because the covers get stuck and look older. When this place first opened the plates were easy and smooth to get out. But I think the most disappointing part of this place is the food- overpriced and tasteless.
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
Pretty much ordered off the screen and grabbed plates off the revolving bar. (I literally grabbed one plate) It was probably a down time after lunch. There was barely any sushi choices. I had to order from a screen above me. The food was lacking in flavor and tasted overcooked. I would rather sit at a full service restaurant, order food and tip accordingly. There wasn't a server present to ask questions or ask for chili sauce. Unfortunately, there's no reason to go back.

Yelp
Food was great - kids loved the atmosphere! Big Thank you to our server (Kathy)!! She provided outstanding service!

Yelp
We love the food and the service at Kura in Katy, Texas. Our "particular" 4-year-old grandson loves it, and will willingly try new foods. On our last visit, we ordered 7 items from the app. After 15 minutes (they were busy so we allowed more than the typical amount of time) without food, we asked for help and we're told that the app was not working. The manager (who called herself Akia) offered an "apology" that showed she did not care at all about customer satisfaction - she had customers waiting outside and would be just as happy selling food to them, instead of us. I still love Kura sushi, just not this one.

Yelp
I had the best experience today. Chai had the best smile and she was very attentive. The Toro Albacore was really good, it melts in your mouth. Believe it or not, the chicken gyoza was really yummy.

Yelp
Today we just dined in at the Katy location, We were a party of fourteen and we had an absolute wonderful experience! The servers at Katy are extremely friendly and attentive,They were showing us the new limited items and they were so yummy! The managers Jose and Hung came out to greet us & thank us for choosing the Katy location for our gathering. We will definitely be going back to the Katy location,Thank you for a great experience for our family and friends!

Yelp
I love the concept of the revolving sushi bar and me and my friends had a great time. We went on a Thursday night and there was still a lot of people but we were able to be immediately seated. I didn't try the tuna which I heard wasn't as fresh but since my favorite was salmon, I ate a lot of it and I thought it was really good! I liked the Garlic Ponzu Salmon the most. I also ordered the spider hand roll which has snow crab in it and I thought it was good (not the best I had before but still pretty good). I wouldn't recommend the takoyaki though, the dough is a little too mushy. The staff were super nice and gave us 2 free prizes.

Yelp
First time stopping by Kura in Katy and it was a pleasant experience. We were seated right away and our orders arrived promptly. The staff that brought us over the requested chopsticks and sauce dishes wasn't very friendly but the rest of the staff was. The food was great. Everything was fresh with good flavor. Our favorite was the fried rice, salmon nigiri, and sesame balls!

Yelp
Had absolutely a great time tonight at the Katy location, the head sever Cassie was very informative and was telling us about the new limited items! The robot was such a cool experience seeing it bring our beverages. It was full house when we came, but the belt had so many options to pick from! Also there manager Hung made sure our experience in Katy felt like being in Japan all over again. Overall me and my family will be dining at the Kura location for now on! Thank you for the great time Kura!

Yelp
I MANAGED TO GRAB 34 PICTURES EAT YOUR EYES OUT LADIES!!! So despite the rating, eating at Sushi Kura was actually an experience that I quite enjoyed and believe anyone should have at least once. However, food-wise, I'm not sure if I'd be up to visiting it again. It's definitely something that you remember more fondly of way after the fact. Since there are way too many things on offer in a kaitenzushi such as Sushi Kura, I'll do something a little bit different. Instead of going through each of the dishes that we tasted, I'll just give some highlights and talk a little bit about the *gasp* overall experience. Starting with the food, a lot of their fishes are honestly below par even for kaitenzushi standards (like, I'm talking buffet sushi taste and freshness). The crab is also bland as hell, but that doesn't mean there aren't gems in the menu. I find that much of the "truly Japanese" stuff taste really good: Things like the seared scallop, kinmedai, tamago (egg cake), dashi olive sweet shrimp (YOU GET 2 FOR $3.25 BOIS!!!), and especially their uni. I've seen uni of worse quality selling for $7+ a piece. Here it's the same $3.25 price for a solid Grade A. Hence, if you are feeling adventurous and want to go really authentic, then Sushi Kura is the place for you. Everything else though, not so much. It's not a bad value, but there are only so many "truly Japanese" items and how they do so badly on the more basic and WAY more popular stuff is beyond me. Now for the overall experience. Kaitenzushi is always fun, but what I'm more impressed about is their automatic plates-disposal system. You can put in any $3.25 plate (they use green for sushi and red for desserts, both work) to increase a counter, which will play a fun little clip every 5 plates you put in that advertises their condiments (the first clip starts at 10, though). Every 15 such plate, you'll also get a small souvenir from a lil' gacha ball. When we went, it was My Hero Academia can badges. There were 3 of us, and after some strategic planning and Japanese Zen, we did manage to reach 45 plates in total, so each of us went away with one. My friends got Bakugo and Shoto. I grabbed the last one which was a Deku because I'm an MC like that. You also don't HAVE to engage in the kaiten either, which is great when you are seated in that one unfortunate table which never gets any food because everyone else could grab some fish before you. All of the dishes you see on the kaiten and more are also available à la carte, via the tablet menu. They come in the same gacha-able plate as well and should you press order, they'll automatically dash into your area via their own à la carte lane at breakneck speed. Just in case you needed a hint of that feeling of exclusivity that you never got in your life. Speaking of seating, our seating process was a bit messy and we also had to change tables once because the machinery at ours didn't work. TL;DR Go once. Grab some uni. See if you like it. Reach 15 plates. Leave.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Saturday night around 8pm. I asked to place a to go order and was told to sit and give them some time by one person. About 5 minutes into waiting I asked for a menu so I could be ready to order whenever they were able to assist from another employee. That same employee came back a couple of minutes later and instructed me to write my order down so they could put it in. They ran out of forms to take to go orders to they had me write my order on a scratch sheet or paper, no worries. About 7ish minutes later no one came to check on me so I asked the first employee who would be taking my order. He directed me to the same employee who gave me the menu. Shortly after, my order was placed and I was told the wait would be 15 minutes minutes. I spent about 35 minutes total in the restaurant (I saw party who came in after me, sit down, eat and leave before I got my food lol). Honestly I should have just eaten there with the amount of time it took. Overall I enjoyed the food, specifically the Texan roll, red dragon roll and the salmon golden crunchy roll the most (below was my order). Some of my items didn't look like the photo, so I'm not sure they put my order in correctly. For the eel, my roll looked different and when I asked if that was the correct roll, they told me it was something different than what I ordered. They quickly replaced it with the proper roll. I'm really picky about my ginger and wasabi, there's was okay. The wasabi was chunky which was cool, but it still wasn't as strong as I normally like it. The pickled ginger was just eh. Very cute restaurant and they gave the cutest little robot that comes and drops off your drinks. My mouth dropped when I saw it rolling by, so cute! I want to come back and try for a sit down experience. - Miso soup 3/5 - 1 eel 2/5 - Spicy tuna 2/5 - Crispy rice with spicy tuna 2/5 - Texan roll 3/5 - salmon golden crunchy roll 3/5 - Red dragon 3/5

Yelp
Not a fancy place at all. The robot delivering soft drinks was the best part. This is the kind of place you have to come to once for the experience. The food was not good and a little expensive for what you get. The waiter sits you but doesn't really do anything else except explain how the concept works.

Yelp
Finally got to try this sushi spot and it definitely did not disappoint. I tried the garlic ponzu salmon nigiri and tamago nigiri off the conveyor belt and ordered tonkatsu ramen and mochi ice cream off the menu screen. All were super delicious and I left fully satisfied! Can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
First time here and honestly had a great time. The sushi was fresh, came out fast, and it was fun watching everything go by on the belt. I wasn't sure what to expect but it totally lived up to the hype. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Restaurant was very dirty and sticky. Food was not great HEB sushi is better. Fountain drinks taste bad. The guy who sat us was friendly but table was sticky and not clean. I would say go somewhere else for the price you pay the quality doesn't match.

Yelp
We came here for a quick lunch. The quality was pretty decent for a chain restaurant. They had salmon toro, tuna toro, negitoro, and more. The sweet shrimp was my favorite! Service was good.

Yelp
Ew, David! My daughters begged me to try this restaurant. Despite the novelty of having a robot deliver your drinks, and sitting by a conveyor belt of food, the entire experience was a disappointment. The restaurant itself was filthy: all surfaces were sticky and the dishes themselves looked barely washed. The sushi and roll options were extremely limited, and everything arrived warm, slimy and stale. It honestly felt like we were eating food that had been sitting out, rotating all day. The real kicker though was the bill! The price of dining here was outrageous, especially given the poor quality of the food. Overall, I found this place to be dirty and expensive. We won't be back.

Yelp
Won't be back went two more times and still the same quality on conveyor belt. Sushi was not fresh order from the menu watch as they pulled off conveyor and sent to us. If I want of the belt would pulled it off the conveyor it was old and not good.

Yelp
We came here after doing some early Christmas shopping at Kinokuniya next door. It was late in the evening and we were looking for a quick bite and a haven from the cold. This was the perfect cozy spot for some quick sushi. The vibe inside was the best part. Super cozy and fun. It felt a lot like the little revolving sushi restaurants I went to when I was on vacation in Japan. It felt very nostalgic to me. The staff were friendly and explained the whole process clearly to us. My date and I agreed that this would be a great place in Houston to take friends who are visiting from out of town. 4 stars because there were mostly empty plates on the conveyor, which was the case for the hour or so we were there. You do need to be patient if you are just getting the sushi that's going around. We ended up ordering several things from the menu to come directly to us, and the wait for those was not too long. It is not the fanciest/prettiest sushi, but the flavors were good and it satisfied our sushi craving. Again, the atmosphere and service is where Kura really shines.

Yelp
If you've never been to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, Kura is a great first experience. Before heading there you can check what the wait looks like online, and if it's long, you can get in line beforehand to get a text once your table is ready. Once you're seated you can place your drink order using the tablet above the table, and start pulling what you'd like off the belt. All items on the belt are $3.10, and if you don't see anything on the belt you like, the tablet above the table has a variety of items you can order that will be delivered to you on a separate belt. These items vary in price, and some may not count towards the 15 plate count for the free capsule item. Overall, the quality of the sushi isn't going to be outstanding, but it's a convenient place to grab a quick bite to eat, and is a unique dining experience for those who have never tried sushi from a conveyor belt before.

Yelp
This place used to be fun to go to but ever since Kura decided to cut corners, getting rid of some of the food items I used to like such as the garlic shrimp. The quality is also going down. And are they permanently getting rid of the collabs? Frankly I'm getting fed up with the Mr. Fresh prizes. I've gotten to the point where I'm not going as often as I used to in the past. Unless you can bring back the collabs, I won't be coming back as much as I used to.

Yelp
I have been to a revolving sushi restaurant before but this atmosphere is to fresh on the eyes. I adored all the technology so much!! My experience has me at ease from being at a distance from others; which includes having a robot brinme my drink. The sushi was good too! The menus was different from what I was expecting but they have plenty of options. Make sure you scroll on every page to see all the selections. If something you like does not scroll across you, no worries, go ahead and order on above on the screen. Most plates are under $4, Ramen is around $8 but not with all the fancy options at a Ramen bar .

Yelp
This place is a great concept. Sushi revolves around so you can grab what you like and try as you go. Usually is, okay... it reminds me of grocery store sushi. The rice isn't very sticky and falls apart easily. The biggest concern for me was the cleanliness. It just felt sticky every where. The soy sauce was sticky. The ginger container was sticky. The wasabi jar was sticky. And the old food in the plate disposal slot was not enjoyable to look at whole eating. They can do a better job at cleaning overall, IMO.

Yelp
We went this evening and had a wonderful experience. Apparently have a new manager. Everything was great. People were friendly and responsive when help button pushed. Actually came by to let us know they were out of one item but finishing another roll we'd ordered clean tables. Very very happy. Good quality of sushi. Good price. Will DEFINITELY be going back soon!!!
