Been here many times over the years and left fully satisfied. Today was a different story. Lack of options on the conveyor belt. Only options available looked like they were sitting there for a while. Had to special order stuff just so we could eat. VERY Long waits for special orders! Craftsmanship of the rolls were very lacking today as well. Take a look at my picture of the Spicy Tuna Roll. That’s exactly how it came out. I didn’t even touch these 2 pieces before taking a pic. It’s been a developing pattern that I noticed that this place’s quality has been declining for the last year. And yet, prices keep going up. We spent maybe half of what we usually spend here and just left.

This is a revolving sushi bar where sushi arrives on a conveyor belt and you take what you want. It’s fun to try out for the novelty and the system encourages you to grab more plates to earn a prize. You earn a prize after eating a certain amount of plates and dumping them in the special chute on one end of the table that collects the plates. Definitely more worth it to check this out with friends, it seems like 4 people can fit comfortably to each of the smaller tables. Depending where you sit, you might not end up with much variety but thankfully there is an overhead special belt and digital tablet where you can order more of what you desire for express delivery. Also on the tablet, you can order foods that they might not carry on the standard conveyor belt. This place was moderately busy on a lunch weekend. Definitely worth checking out for the novelty. The staff are really nice and patient with greeting and checking in, they also gave us a ball because the machine at our station was jammed when trying to collect our prize. The ambiance is generally a bit isolated with our group having some privacy, there is music that plays overhead and nothing unpleasant to write about. There is parking somewhere in the back that might be paid parking but there happened to be street metered parking at the front too.

Google
The sushi was great, as a fish enthusiast this was very high quality sushi. Sure it's a little pricy. But you get every option ever. It's sushi heaven. The staff were very nice, especially Jose. Ask for him. The atmosphere was surprisingly quiet. Fun vibes. 5/5

Happened to find this Kura location on a whim. There was no wait at all. The sushi was delicious and i had hot tea! My kids hads a blast and are well! They love the drink Robot they call Mr. Fresh. There is plenty of parking in the building parking just around the corner. We were very well attended! I will be coming back. I really like the staff and no wait. My family is always in the mood for Kura!

Google
Kira is a fun experience but you need to get a reservation first otherwise you will end up waiting a long time outside. The food is delicious and I go back often! It is my FAVORITE Sushi bar. I spend more time watching the conveyor belt than my plate. Lots of fun!

Google
This review is about a duplicate charge. Last month when I dined there, I first paid using self-check out, but the screen shown error even though multiple payments were made (one eventually got through and was posted). Then I called someone to make a payment, and I used another card (and increased the tip). So I made duplicate payments. After all transactions were finalized, I called them about the duplicate charge. They were unable to find any record but said they would look for it and call me back soon. Then they did not, and two days later I called again. They again said the same thing (apparently not taking the error seriously.) They never called me back. If you encounter the same error during payments, stick with one bank card, and do not change the transaction amount. Otherwise it is a headache and they won't be much of a help.

Google
above par, good price. you can grab your food on the revolving thingy or you can also order it instead on the touch screen next to your table. you get free toy if you vet atleast 15 plates. so we did just that.😅

Been to this location over 20 times probably but today is the first time I was compelled to leave a review. Jessica was helping us tonight and she's very nice. Great Customer Service very friendly with such a good positive attitude. Just wanted to thank her for that. Thank you Jessica.

Yelp
Great place to eat. Service is excellent and very friendly. Perfect for a casual meal or a night out

Yelp
First time at Kura, I've been to other conveyor belt sushi places precovid and they were really fun to see and eat. I have not seen any more conveyor belt sushi places except Kura which were a long way drive from Arcadia. We were running some errands around DTLA and decided to eat lunch given the drive back to Arcadia would take long. We searched for some options and lucky enough we were right near Kura! I finally get to try it and luckily they have a parking lot and the restaurant will validate our parking slip for us. You gotta let the server know when checking out so you don't forget in your way out (in case you do self checkout). Since it's our first time, the staff was nice and provide instructions on how to dine and order. There were limited time only specials like the Wagyu nigiri with crispy garlic which we ordered and it was AMAZING. Most of the plates on the belt (expect special ones) were 3.95$. The belt had many common dishes such as nigiri and rolls, also some deserts like cheesecake. We ended up eating 12 plates and a fried crispy chicken. I'm not full but I'm fairly satisfied and happy I tried this place! My favorites were all of the seared beef nigiri and eel with miso cream cheese! Everything else was good, we didn't eat too much and we enjoyed it well! Overall it was roughly 60$ total without tip!

Yelp
Sushi was pretty good. Average $3.95 a plate. My favorites were salmon toro, yuzu jalapeno sweet shrimp, and the warabimochi. Sushi belt isn't always filled but the tablet ordering came pretty fast. We did have an issue with getting the wrong order sent to our table but the server sorted it out for us right away :) This kura is pretty small and located on the ground level next to the staircase and Starbucks. Don't forget to bring your parking structure ticket to get it validated.

Yelp
Kura is my classic go-to,to get my sushi fill. It's nothing fancy and it's not high quality, but does the job. Thoughts: -salmon pieces were salty with an overpowering flavor of sesame oil that masked the goodness of fatty salmon -yuzu tuna was so good and not a fan of tuna -ramen and udon is salty af, but the noodles are perfectly cooked al dente *unnecessary side note: I grew up eating cheesecake from yoshinoya with my dad. Their cheesecake is legit a thinner version of the one I used to eat growing up. I ate 1.5 slices shamelessly.

Yelp
Went there 2 days before Xmas. 1) Heard this is new location 2) parking is easy in K-town 3) The restaurant itself seem to be pretty small 4) not bad, the line is not that long 5) food is fresh and good 6) Decor is just simple regular japanese decor, not super fancy. just regular. 7) Employees/workers are pretty nice there.

Yelp
Cute little spot with validated parking in ktown. I'm not a huge fan of sushi (california roll girl) but the kids always love this place, especially with the robot that delivers drinks. The service is attentive but you'll find mostly self service here which is good too. Would return again if with family or date night.
google avatar

Ari M.

Yelp
You don't go to chains like these for the best or most quality fish but for the convenience and accessibility. Unfortunately today I saw a roach crawling on the conveyor belt near the food. I will not be going back.
google avatar

Gwendolyne M.

Yelp
Fun experience, food is tasty, portions are small but they're $3.95 per plate. Our server was not great she dropped beers off and never came back to check on anything - it took us about 10 min to get her attention to simply get spicy sauce. It wasn't that's busy - It seems like everything has to be ordered through the screen and robots bring you your water which is a fun feature. I'm not sure that I would visit again due to the service and pricing tho because it adds up quickly and you're left feeling hungry. Our total was about $84 for 3 people w 16 plates total. Definitely cool to check off your bucket list tho!
google avatar

Yelp
Free parking with validation! My partner and I stopped by here after a long day out in the sun. The service was excellent! Friendly, attentive, and efficient! Prices were decent for the food. The food was delicious and totally hit the spot! The restaurant was smaller than other Kura's and it's clean along with the bathrooms. I like that they had a speciality nigiri called anago, which I enjoyed. If you like unagi then try the anago. It's the salt water version of eel. In addition; the spider hand roll was also delicious!

Yelp
I recently visited Kura Revolving Sushi Bar for the first time and was impressed by their family-friendly atmosphere and diverse sushi selection. This chain offers reasonably priced sushi that even kids can enjoy. Items can be picked up where the conveyor belt passes through, or you can order through their kiosk, and a separate conveyor belt will deliver the item to the table. The only downside about this place was that the maximum seating per table was four. What caught my attention the most was their unique plate-returning system, which automatically tallies the number of plates you've used. And an entertaining aspect of the dining experience is that once you've spent a certain amount, you can get a special toy from their gumball machine. During my visit, Kura collaborated with the Japanese brand One Piece, and I was excited to receive a wet cooling towel with One Piece artwork after spending over $100. Guess which sucker received this goodie? Me!

Yelp
I always love coming here and splurging on drinks and food :) The servers are always really friendly and I leave full and happy every time.

Yelp
I shouldn't have expected more. Been a couple of times and it's just not that good. Hey, if you want "fast food" sushi, and convenience, ok, it is what it is. It just tastes and feels as if sushi's prepared willy nilly hap hazard. Better to go to one of the more than a jillion other Japanese joints in the city.
google avatar

Grace K.

Yelp
Kura is now on Doordash so of course we had to try it out. And they did not disappoint. As much as I love dining here for the fun conveyer belt sushi experience, I love getting their food delivered too now! Everything is well-packaged and it's the same quality as you would get from dining in. I say this because some restaurants will skimp on some things when it's a togo order but here it's the same whether it's dining in or delivered. Things we ordered: Toro nigiri Uni nigiri Yellowtail nigiri Conch nigiri Squid nigiri Sweet shrimp nigiri Yuzu jalapeno sweet shrimp nigiri Snow crab nigiri Garlic ponzu salmon nigiri Salmon belly nigiri Albacore toro nigiri Sea bream with yuzu nigiri Spicy scallop hand roll Spicy yellowtail hand roll Premium American beef nigiri Fried scallops - loved the lemon seasoning Fried chicken (karaage) - more lemon seasoning Salmon golden crunchy roll Tiger roll Texan roll Kura roll

Yelp
Kura Sushi in KTown stands out as one of the last revolving sushi restaurants, celebrating the charm of Japan's popular dining concept. Priced at about $3.20 per plate, it offers a budget-friendly sushi feast. The self-serve experience is simple - plates loaded with a variety of sushi circle the entire store. Once you spot your desired dish, just pluck it off the train-like contraption. Craving something specific? Order directly from the screen above. After relishing your choices, drop the plates into the bin, and if you exceed 15 plates, a prize awaits! Pro tip: Beat the crowds by adding yourself to the online waitlist for a seamless experience.

Yelp
I have eaten at many Kura Sushi locations, both in Los Angeles and Japan. The sushi is good quality and reasonably fresh. Typical rolls are served along with some sashimi, sushi and hot items such as salmon collar. This location is recommended because there was no waiting for lunch service. The waitstaff serves alcoholic beverages at the table. Our server was welcoming. Non-alcoholic drinks are served by cute robots. Street parking can be a challenge. They do validate. Prices are very reasonable. Give it a try.

Yelp
Was there on Sunday again and Jose came with his good energy And. Suggest me some Spanish mackerel. Was delicious and fresh more important and so soy paper crabs was yummy thank you Jose for your help all my petty of people were please and happy u make the experience cool

Yelp
So good! For a while, I felt like these revolving sushi places were a gimmick but Kura is the real stuff! Not everything on the menu is great but the salmon belly, scallop, monthly specials, and desserts really hit the spot. It used to feel like a cheaper meal but the plates adds up pretty quickly and the prices here have shot up recently to $3.70 a plate. Regardless, it's still a unique and delicious sushi experience. Parking here is also very easy in the buildings lot with validation.

Yelp
First time in this location , normally I go to the one in Cerritos , but the quality of the food and service are top of the best , place is about same size but always great accommodation, definitely will come back to this place ...
google avatar

Yelp
Came by for a late lunch on Sunday! My partner has never been so it was a really fun and unique experience for them. It was not busy, and we were seated right away. The restaurant is smaller compared to other Kura locations I've been to. The server kindly explained to them how it works since they've never been. We ended up eating 18 dishes and were very full. For every 15, you get a prize from the machine! This time the prizes were SPYxFAMILY themed. Almost all of the dishes were incredibly delicious. The worst 3: Spicy Salmon Crunchy Hand Roll, Eel Nigiri, and Octopus Nigiri. I don't know what happened but that hand roll tasted really bad. The seaweed was soggy. It must have been sitting out for a while. Overall, the restaurant and restrooms are nice and clean. It was a great experience & highly recommend for a fun food experience!!
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Cute but a little on the smaller side but don't let that scare you off. With fast and friendly service you can't go wrong. Makes for a quick and easy lunch. Perfect for a date night out...

Yelp
Very efficient very fast food service . Customer service was just basic.very dull .Sushi was good price point and good quality good for gatherings of friends or economical dates

Christine A.

Yelp
First time coming here 12/27 and everything went great!! It was busy but we're accommodated well. The food was fresh and delicious We did 60 plates + tantanmen.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
This place has really good revolving sushi! The restaurant was clean, and the service was great. They had a good variety of sushi and other menu items. A little robot brings you water, and the menu screen is very interactive! It was super fun coming here, I will be back for sure!
google avatar

Annie W.

Yelp
Obviously if you're into omakase or any high-end Sushi, this is not a place for you. I like coming here to quickly grab a few bites to ease my cravings. I would always order through the small screen since I've seen too many people touch the rotating dishes and change their minds half way. They would have new sushi items to try each month so look out for those. If you come here often, you could rack up points and they'll send you $5 off discounts through their app. Each green plate is $3.55 but you could also order other hot dishes and they'll have the prices for those on the screens. Here are a few dishes I would always order: - hokkaido scallop - sweet shrimp - unagi - spicy handroll (soft shell crab) - spicy scallop handroll overall, it's better than supermarket sushi for sure, but don't set your expectations high. It's usually busy after 7pm, so try to come before.

Katie L.

Yelp
Whenever I come here the service is on point! Everyone is always very attentive, and have a smile on their face, which is very sweet! The food comes out fast, and is very tasty! They also validate parking if you need it and they always remind me to scan for rewards. Download the app if you don't have it. I also like how you can see the chefs making the food, it's very cool to see watch. Overall very nice place to come eat, and chat!

Yelp
I just realized I live a 15 minute walk from this Kura sushi joint! My life just got sooooo much better! This location is in the Wilshire Center, easy to get to by metro or car or even bike/walk depending on how far. There is free validated parking at the parking lot below the restaurant. Service was super friendly and quick, plenty of food to go around. This location is a little more grimier than the other locations, as it is smack dab in the busiest parts of LA. But I didn't encounter anything problematic. The sushi plates that were on the conveyor belt were a little harder to detach and grab for me and my partner who dined with me today. This time I tried their warabimochi- a dessert of clear soft watery esque mochi covered in brown powder called kinako (toasted soybean flour)--- so good! Great quality, soft, melted in my mouth. Dare I say it, just as good as the ones I would eat in Japan *childhood tears ensue*. I also tried their anago (salt water eel) today, delicious. They ran out of the One Piece anime/manga limited edition cooling towel today T_T , today was the last day they have them in stock. I believe they will be coming out with new figurines coming Sept 1 though! =)

Yelp
Servers are great, shout out to servers Jose and Ronaldo Munoz, they treat people as family. My family and I had a great time and food is very good!! We will definitely come back here.

Aubrey G.

Yelp
This was my first time ever at a revolving sushi bar and I've always been nervous to try one, but we had the best time! Ronaldo made it such a fun experience and checked in on us all night, he was such a great server! The sushi was very fresh and yummy and the service was GREAT! definitely coming back soon and bringing all of my friends! You also get a prize after 15 plates, how fun is that :D
google avatar

Valerie L.

Yelp
This was my second time visiting Kura and definitely won't be the last. Who doesn't love food moving besides you and just picking what you want and just enjoy it?! We did order from the kiosk and got crispy rice and some gyoza! Both delicious and were tempted to get more but we didn't want to overdue it with the fried food lol. As for the sushi on the belt. So much variety here and everything is freshly made as you can see the chefs in the back working hard to replace those empty dishes going around. I do wish i there was a way to get rid of your other food plates (not from the belt) and trash. We thought the little robot came by to retrieve it but it doesn't lol it's only meant to deliver your drinks. We also came at a great time because as we were leaving it got really busy. This was on a Saturday mid day.

Imagine A D.

Yelp
Food was good, Khris was our server and was super nice, head server too, would come back

Yoshie W.

Yelp
Hello all.I am regular Costumer for wild at Kura sushi.I' m going to many another branches also but ring row Krown branch is the best Becouse new manager Jose is the best for the management person.there is so clean.worker is cleaning everywhere when they have time.I Love it!
google avatar

Cindy D.

Yelp
This is as close as you can get to a fast food version of a sushi bar. The sushi options are pre-made and placed on a conveyor belt where the customer can make/pick up their selection, with most plates costing $3.75 each. Considering the price, the sushi is pretty good and fairly fresh. Serving size is smaller than most but it's still a bargain. Each table is set up with a tablet where you have the option of ordering your items instead of picking them from the conveyor belt. Your order is then delivered via another conveyor belt or a robot server with a couple of minutes. Once you're finished with your plate, there's a small slot on the side where you drop you the plates in and the tablet displays your total tally. It's quite gimmicky, convenient and fun but at the same time, I do prefer the personal interaction with a live person as it saves a few jobs.

Polina H.

Yelp
Keep coming here with my kids. We enjoy this place every time and never get tired of it. Special thanks to all the team members especially to Jose and Juan! Thank you for your hospitality!
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Food quality here has gone down over the years but it's still a good spot to try out! Be prepared to wait, when I came I waited about an hour and a half. It's a cute restaurant to try out and I love how you can order right off the iPad!
google avatar

Leslie Morales G.

Yelp
This was my boyfriend and I's first time. The staff as very welcoming and made sure we understood how it worked! So helpful and detailed. The food was delicious!!! The salmon was so fresh, my favorite definitely! Felt like I was eating at home, we felt very comfortable! Will be coming more often, such a fun experience! Jose was our favorite server, extremely friendly!! Get that man a raise!!!
google avatar

Melissa V.

Yelp
This specific Kura location is our favorite! Every Monday me and my bf come for lunch. Service is always on point, shout out to Jose for being the sweetest. Food is always fresh and the place is always clean. Definitely recommend if you've never been.

Michelle S.

Yelp
I love this sushi spot! This is my second time coming here and Jose is the best. Most of the sushi I tried tonight was really good. My favorites were the garlic ponzu salmon & umami oil salmon. The yuzu jalapeño tuna was my least favorite, though I love both tuna and jalapeño. I think the combo with the citrus just didn't do it for me personally. The lemonade had a bit of a chemical taste, so I wouldn't get it again. Overall great though!
google avatar

Karolin H.

Yelp
I love Kura, but I usually visit this location as it's closest to home and because their staff is the absolutely nicest!! Shout out to Jose and Ashley for always being so friendly and attentive to customers, some of the nicest servers I've met at all Kura locations!
google avatar

Phoenix L.

Yelp
I come here ALL the time as I live nearby. Service is great and it's easy to order takeout from their app also. But I enjoy eating there with friends or business partners - it's a fun way to dine and the prices are reasonable. The sushi is good and I LOVE their Tonkatsu ramen
google avatar

Maricar D.

Yelp
My partner and I have been to Kura Sushi Bar locations before in the past. We were used to expecting an hour wait or more to get seated but we were delighted that we were able to get seated as soon as we walked in Sunday evening. I enjoyed the taste of their limited-time bluefin dish. Now, we haven't been to Kura Bar in a few months at least-- however we were so shocked to find out that we were going to be spending a flat $100 on our sushi date! $50 each per person, NO tip included, and we were jaw-dropped at the price in the end. The sucky thing is the plates on the kiosk don't show the price of each plate. We assumed that each plate was still less than $2.75 max. I looked at the receipt and was SO shocked to see one plate was $3.65 EACH! I didn't even get the rolls, I ordered the nigiri, having one small slice of fish such as salmon/albacore/tuna etc topped on a little bundle of white rice. I remember when my partner and I forced ourselves to make our bill run up to $60 just to get a limited edition t-shirt that Kura was collabing with. The lady told us that usually reaching 20 plates would hit that mark. Well, we had hit 25 plates this time and was going to have just one of us cover dinner until we saw the receipt brought out to us. We were even debating on poke but changed our minds last minute because going to a revolving sushi bar is always a fun experience. Now, we don't think we ever want to go back because truthfully, one small plate with about 2 inches of fish ontop of a small chunk of rice should not be charged for $3.65... You can buy grocery-grade sushi for 2 items at that price and feel the same satisfaction. Or go somewhere else for more diverse sushi rolls. Or even go to an all-you-can eat buffet or Korean BBQ restaurant and still hit way under $100. We definitely felt our wallets hurt with this one and walked away feeling regret and a "Wish we had decided to get something else.." feeling. Definitely only go here if you plan to eat little, share a revolving sushi bar experience with friends, or just satisfy little cravings. Don't go here when you're hungry. Also make sure each plate you pick is worth it since they cost $3.65 each..
google avatar

Mimi I.

Yelp
Such a fun spot. Also affordable and pretty good sushi. We had a blast. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
This place is awesome! So much fun, food good! The robot waiter is great! 6 people in party- all loved it.

Yelp
I've heard of Kura for many years, especially when I lived in San Diego. I didn't actually end up eating here for the first time until last year. My husband and I moved to Koreatown and were looking for a decently priced sushi restaurant. After hearing about the hype for so long, we figured what better time to try it. Parking can be tricky, even when parking in the garage. The gates often don't open when trying to leave! Luckily, my husband just gets out of the car after I've inserted my ticket and just manually lifts it so that I can drive through. So ghetto. This has happened at both gates when leaving the garage, multiple times. So word to the wise: don't eat here alone. You will get stuck. We are usually always seated immediately upon arrival which is nice. Everything after that goes so smoothly thats impossible to believe. You can order the drinks through the touch screen at your seat, and a cute little music -playing robot will deliver them to you. All the sushi your heart desires can be grabbed from the conveyer belt next to your table and you can order more via the touch screen. The ambiance is nice and the restaurant it relatively clean. As for the sushi, all is generally of decent quality. Though its not top tier, its worth it for the price. The garlic ponzu salmon is definitely my favorite, and we like to order a side of it on the side to dip our other nigiri in. We'll typically pay around $60-$90 for a bunch of food, drinks and green tea mochi for desert. Come here if you like no bs for dinner. It's one of my favorite spots to hit up after work when I just want to start eating ASAP without waiting. Something to note is that I wish they had a bigger selection or at least a better rotation of new, featured items.
google avatar

Joo Yeon Y.

Yelp
Perfect mixture of good food and entertainment! I highly suggest taking your kids here if you have any young ones in the family. The food comes by, but if you want something specific asap, you may also order it on the monitor next to your table and it will come to you directly! If you reach 15 plates, you get a random little gift which was fun to look forward to. Make sure to pace yourself and eat the wide variety of food provided :) All the sushi is what you expect sushi to taste like and the desserts were also delicious (especially the mochi)!
google avatar

Rhea A.

Yelp
Good food, highly recommended. Jose was very helpful and helpful. The place are very clean.

Yelp
Sushi is my favorite food. Kura is my favorite sushi chain of restaurants. Koreatown location is nice, but it's kinda small. It's the smallest of all the Kura locations I've been too. Another bad thing about this place is the parking. I parked in the parking structure entrance on Vermont Avenue, and had problems exiting because the machine wouldn't let us out. I contacted the parking staff via the parking ticket machine at the exit to let us out. It took awhile, so you'll have to figure it out.

Yelp
this place is pretty high tech because there are robots that serve you water and lemonade.i was chomping down every single plate that came on the belt . in the end we got two prize balls. we had eaten 32 sushi rolls. i had eaten 16. it was very nice inside there. and the robots we quick.

Shutdown k.

Yelp
I had an amazing experience with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. Was seated right away the belt was a great experience the sushi was fresh and delicious. Would recommend to anyone.

Yelp
First time coming here and trying out revolving sushi! Patrick my waiter was great!! Super nice and fun :)
