Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

I've been a few times at this point and it's been a great experience. I'll break it down with some pros and cons for simplicity. Pros The sushi has been delicious. Great texture and taste and a huge variety. Cooked salmon with Kewpie, the o-toro, scallop nigiri, and yellowtail nigiri were favorites among many. The Japanese take on a fried fish taco was such a great bite, but I'm also a stupid level tartar sauce fan. Most visits the selection has been amazing, not just on the belt, but the a la carte ordering too. The atmosphere is fun and curious and bubbly. The drink robots, the choosing and pulling dishes and fun sounds, even the clatter of finished plates. Cons On one visit on a Sunday afternoon they seemed to be running out of everything. Some favorites like yellowtail and freshwater eel weren't on the belt or available to order. It can get really crowded. If it's any kind of peak dining time make a reservation or expect a wait. It can get expensive. If you have three or four people it can add up fast. In a more standard cheap sushi place you can pay about $30 a head and leave really full. Here $30 a head may leave a couple of you full, but the heavier eaters will still be hungry. The quality is better than a local "cheap" sushi place. The same atmosphere above could be a little loud and crazy for some folks. I was down the middle with it. Sometimes sushi is best enjoyed in a quieter more relaxed atmosphere, but Kura is a great way to explore new rolls and tastes. Give it a try!

Great place for revolving sushi near Tarzana. Place most definitely reminiscent of the times ive gone to Japan to eat sushi on conveyor or to order fresh on the spot. Great variety and also they have great Ramen and miso soup options. Beer and sake also available. Greay staff, environment feels like you are in Japan and its very nice clean and efficient and reasonably priced.

Kura Sushi is a fun and unique dining experience that’s perfect for families and anyone looking to try something different. It’s a revolving conveyor belt sushi restaurant where you can grab plates as they glide by, and even have your drinks delivered by a robot. My kids, ages 14 and 9, were completely fascinated. Watching the robot deliver drinks and choosing sushi right off the conveyor belt made the experience exciting and interactive. The atmosphere is lively, modern, and full of energy. It was busy when we arrived, with about a 30-minute wait, but it moved quickly and the whole experience felt worth it once we sat down. My son, who’s a total foodie, really enjoyed his meal and is already asking when we can go back. As for the food, the sushi was good, fresh, and satisfying, though not the best I’ve ever had. The real highlight here is the fun and the value. The prices are very reasonable, making it easy to try a wide variety of rolls and dishes without breaking the bank. Overall, Kura Sushi delivers a memorable and entertaining dining experience. It’s not a place I’d rush back to for top-tier sushi, but it’s absolutely worth visiting for the novelty, great value, and family-friendly fun. My kids gave it a 10 out of 10.

Definitely different than I am used to but it was good. It took a little time since they just opened but you can order of the screen at your table. I enjoyed it

We come here very often. Delicious sushi and rolls. No unnecessary sauces that ruin the taste. We really like everything, everything is always fresh, high-quality fish. The service is excellent. Often on weekends you need to book in advance, otherwise you have to wait a long time to be seated.

We had a really great experience at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar! Our main goal was to try the sushi from the conveyor belt — and it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and high-quality, and the fun presentation made it even better. We ended up enjoying over 15 plates and got a cute little prize at the end — super fun touch! The place was busy but well-organized. Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and lively. Definitely a fun spot for sushi lovers. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

So I actually work at the mall and I was only ordering a few things to go and they were nice enough, to give me the little Kirby surprise which is one of the reasons I ordered and my extra spicy mayo. Well first things first.. how can Kura rid of their version of Yoshinoya's Beef Bowl in Box from the menu ??? But regardless of that tiny inconvenience, everything else was made up for in this location's excellent customer service ! From the typical Japanese "Irasshaimase!" greeting which in this case felt more endearing rather than server's blurting out obnoxiously--to the hospitality in which one particular server, "Aerein" (like Erin) gladly catered to my silly request & brought my Yoshinoya Beef Bowl in Box to reality. Knowing that there's employees put there that go far &beyond truly makes the experience all worth while and I can say I'll be going back in no time; for my beef bowl in box ofcourse &Aerein ! btw, if anyone is deserving of a promotion.. it's her (;

My friend and I love coming here! We usually are able to get in pretty quick, but we did wait AN HOUR the last time we came, so definitely make a reservation if you can or if you know you don't want to wait. We usually aim for 15 plates and leave feeling plenty full. I love the revolving sushi, it's so fun! You get to see so many options and try new things. My friend and I usually stick to water to keep costs down for us. I'd love to try some of their hot to-order food some time, but usually we're just amped on whatever comes by us on the conveyer belts! We did try to hello kitty "donut"? But I'd say that's a do-not try. lol! It was super cute though. Everything always tastes great and it's a frequent favorite.

I work in the mall and visit this revolving sushi spot constantly almost every single break. I'm a true regular. And out of the countless visits I've had, AEREINN is the only person who has ever truly elevated the experience from routine to exceptional. I work in customer service myself, so I don't say this lightly my standards are high. I pay attention. I know what great service looks like. And what she delivered was above and beyond. She didn't just take my order. She anticipated my needs. My spicy mayo and wasabi were refilled before I ever had to ask. She checked in thoughtfully and consistently without hovering. She clearly explained how to navigate the menu and went out of her way to tell me about the rewards program not just mentioning it, but explaining how it benefits me long-term. No one else has ever taken the time to do that. As someone who is neurodivergent, details matter to me. Comfort matters. Clarity matters. She let me know I could order from the app if that felt easier, and that individual seating was available. That level of awareness and care is rare. She made sure I felt accommodated, respected, and genuinely seen. She was warm, efficient, and incredibly fast. I was in and out quicker than expected happy, full, informed, and honestly impressed. That doesn't happen often. I've seen her there before, and she consistently brings a light into the room that makes the entire environment better. The kind of employee who doesn't just do the job she elevates the standard. If management is reading this: please recognize what you have in her. Employees like AEREIN build customer loyalty, increase return visits, and create the kind of experience people talk about. She deserves recognition, growth, and real appreciation. This is what excellence looks like. You deserve your flowers

Fun Experience, But Pay for the Novelty! Checked out the new Kura at Westfield Fashion Square! The Hello Kitty/Sanrio collab is adorable! The Garlic Ponzu Salmon was the star--buttery and melt-in-your-mouth. The Crispy Rice Salmon with jalapeño and the Spider Roll were also solid. The touchscreen ordering & revolving belt make the meal super interactive and fast. Quality-wise, it's commercial sushi; it doesn't quite beat Cho Cho San in Encino. Portions are small , we hit 13 plates and still weren't stuffed!making the bill add up fast. Also, skip the green tea mixed drink--it tasted a bit chemical--and go for a Japanese beer instead. We've come to this particular Kura over a few years and it's our favorite location! The wait is never more than 5 minutes and the restaurant is neat and well-organized. Service is super efficient and the staff is polite and concise in the way they assist customers. Parking is conveniently located in the Westfield Mall lot, no payment required ~ cheers to that. Booths are decently spaced out so you don't feel cramped and the conveyor belt design is fun to watch go round and round. The bikura pon game that you can play as you push your empty plates into a dish shoot is amusing ~ I think you automatically win a prize on your 15th plate so you may as well keep eating. We ordered quite a few plates today. We enjoyed everything as usual. What stands out the most is the Umami Oil Salmon Nigiri, the Scallop + Japanese Mayo, the Seared Salmon + Miso Cream Cheese. The salmon and scallops are always soft and sweet. We tried 2 out of 3 of the Hello Kitty collab dishes ~ The HK Avocado Dream Donut and the PomPom Purin Carmelized Tamago Tempura Roll. The donut was a chill shrimp avocado creation with a pink (apparently yuzu) sauce. It was slightly sweet, creamy and savory. The tempura tamago roll was also sweet and salty with a dense custard-like texture and a nice bright bite from the cucumber. I love cute collabs and you probably do too, so you'd better go before it's gone (02.28.26)! Kura to the moon ~

I think a big determining factor on your dining experience here is how close you sit to where new dishes come out of the kitchen. We came here for an impromptu lunch. I want to try some of the special Kirby themed dishes (which they, unfortunately were sold out of) and we were placed closer to where the food shells go back in to the kitchen to be restocked. Because of this, we were basically the 3rd of 4th last people in line so for a good part of our time there, we just sat around waiting for anything to come to our area. It was just empty shell after empty shell for most of our meal. That doesn't mean we didn't eat. We ate plenty. We just often times had to wait several go arounds before something we wanted to try make it our way. It was just a bummer because you knew everyone in front of us was getting the pick of the litter & we were basically getting the leftovers. That's not to say the food tasted bad/old by the time we got to try it. On the contrary. Everything tasted fresh and amazing. Flavorful and well portioned. You also need to just keep track of things mentally. With most dishes costing around $4.50 a plate, things add up fast and if you're not paying attention to things, you could run up a bill quite large before you realize it. We were there for around 40ish minutes and by the end of it, it was around $140 for our lunch. Not what I was expecting to spend that day. But you know what? It was a fun special treat and some times you just need to treat yourself.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a revolving sushi chain restaurant (heck the company is even listed on the stock market with a ticket KRUS) and our party recently came here for a late Sunday dinner at 8 PM. [Parking]: Easy parking as this Kura is located at the Westfield Fashion Square so the mall parking lot had plenty of available spots on late Sunday. [Wait time]: Apparently Kura has a new reservation system and visitors can download Kura Sushi Rewards app to make a reservation in advance (account is required but free to sign up). Originally I expected a short wait time given (1) this location is in Sherman Oaks and (2) late dinner time on Sunday at 8 PM - well it was simply not a correct assessment. After our party joined the walk-in wait list via the kiosk at the front entrance, it was actually a surprising 30-minute wait. No need to wait at the outdoor patio area because Kura will send out a text notification when tables are almost ready - so feel free to walk inside of the mall. [Price]: In most cases, each plate is $4.15. 15 plates into the disposal bin = one free prize from the gacha machine. If you ask me is it worth it to pay $60+ (15 plates x $4.10 per plate = $61.50) for one free prize? I say it is not worth it. [Experience]: Kura uses robot servers to deliver drinks. Customers must use the touch-screen menu at the table to place orders. A separate express conveyor belt will automatically deliver specific items after placing orders via the touchpad. Kura offers direct online payment options by scanning the QR code on the touchpad. [Food]: Dish quality? They all mostly tasted mediocre. The most interesting dish was Garlic Ponzu Salmon Nigiri but that was probably it. [Conclusion]: Most visitors come to Kura for two reasons - (1) novelty of experiencing revolving sushi bar and (2) looking for tapa style dining experience with an opportunity to try multiple dishes. However this is not the place I would come for high quality sushi or Japanese appetizers.

Came just for the exclusive limited-edition Mutenmaru key charm (an interactive collectible designed to unlock daily fortunes, exclusive announcements, surprise coupons and more all year long with the tap of your phone) and it was secured! It's free with the purchase of $65 or more not including tax/tip while supplies last. Made reservations for 11:00 am and was sat down immediately. Conveyer belt was fully stocked and orders using the screen all came quickly including my beer. Kura Sushi is good for a quick and easy meal and the gifts/freebies bring my daughter and I back every time. We love the collaborations they do! Employees were attentive and quick to help if we needed anything. Will be back soon.

Food was good, mall sushi as one expects. Tables clean and service via robot haha. Our soy sauce was nearly empty but no one was around to as to switch it out so we just had to do it ourselves. I thought the plates had tiered pricing but I guess they swapped it to all one price ? So the cost at the end was a bit eyebrow raising but inflation I guess. Would go again for the novelty my kids enjoyed

Location 4: South side of the Sherman Oaks Westfield Fashion Square off of Woodman and Riverside, in Sherman Oaks, California. Plenty of mall self parking on surface and in structures. Venue 4: Accessible from inside the mall and from the outside parking area. Indoor booths next to the conveyor belts. This is a revolving sushi restaurant where you either pick up food being circulated on the conveyor belt or you order specific plates and also the drinks using the touchscreen at your table. It gets delivered to you via the conveyor belt (which only stops at your table) or by their cute robot servers. There are also some human servers around but their job is usually to sit you down, get your drink orders, intervene if something goes wrong with the belts or the robots, and to bring you the check. You can make reservations on their website which I would recommend as they tend to get busy. Service 3: Basic and to the point. Food 3: Good for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant but not to the level of a high end sushi bar. The menu changes often and I usually pick up whatever comes on the belt and looks good :) The prices are reasonable and cheaper than full service sushi restaurants but portions are also smaller. Drinks 3: Beer, Sake and soft drinks. The Last Word 3: Good for a quick, inexpensive sushi fix if you are at or near the mall.

Used to love going to the one out in Diamond Bar years ago back in my college days lol! They slowly started moving up and finally we have one in the valley which is great! This place definitely gets busy, if you come around the time they open between 10:30-11am, it's less busy! They have a conveyor belt of certain items but you can also order from the menu. It's cool to get prizes for eating x amount of plates so it's worth bringing more people! Service here is much better than the Little Tokyo location and cleaner as well. This review is strictly for the bar area. (No food was had, only drinks). "If we meet at Westfield Sherman Oaks (Fashion Center), we can go to that revolving sushi bar that I was telling you guys about. The one with the robot server." - One of my friends, circa 2023. If you haven't already had the pleasure (or displeasure, depending on your views of technology) of experiencing being served your drinks / parts of your order from a "robo waiter", then here's your chance! I've actually been here a few years ago so I'll leave that dining experience to the side. This time around, this experience was strictly for the bar. I met up with a pretty good friend who lives in the area & we all know that Westfield Fashion Center is a pretty solid beacon for such a rendezvous for anyone in & even not as close to the area. However, as we were catching-up during our promenade throughout the mall, we decided that it was an occasion to celebrate. Therefore, libations were in order. Literally, the first & only immediate option that I could think of that was within walking distance was Kura. However, it had been a few years & I honesty didn't recall if they had an actual bar. Luckilly, they do. We came on a Friday evening - 6:30ish. Good think that we really only wanted drinks, because the wait for a table was about an hour. We went straight to the bar (no wait necessary) as we were the only patrons that were ok with drinking (& dining if we wanted to, less the signature revolving sushi bar). Granted the revolving sushi bar is in the name, it's very nice to know that you have the option of drinking *& dining at the bar if you are willing to forego the whole revolving sushi bar thing. DRINKS Chu-Hi Flights We order a set of 3 Japanese Style Cocktails. However, I personally only tried 2, since my friened had the 3rd. Lychee Chu-Hi - 7.5 / 10 Adequate lychee flavor. It almost reminds me of those lychee jelly snacks that were pretty ubiquitous in the 90's. If that's was turned into a drink, with sparkling water, & just the tiniest hint of alcohol (not enough to get a buzz), then that it what this drink is. Peach - 7.3 / 10 If you were to pour a teaspoon of peach syrup from say a can of peaches, mix it with some sparkling water, & the tiniest drop of alcohol, then that is what this cocktail would be. Again, I didn't try the 3rd drink of the flight since that went entirely to my friend. I believe that he opted for the melon / yuzu. I'd had both drinks & I was pretty ok to drive. Granted I waited a close to an hour just catching-up with my good friend & completely sobered-up with 2 full glasses of ice water. In all honesty, the bartender never checked-in on us after we had our drinks served to us. I'd have to flag someone else working there to get my 2 glasses of ice water. Maybe he was thinking that the robo waiter would take of all of our future needs. I get that it's a Friday night & we opted not to order food. But if we did, this would be a harsher review. It would had been nice just to al least touch-base with us once or twice while we had our drinks. Perhaps that's just wishful thinking on my part. I have a theory that the robo waiter is just the very beginning. Like if a few years from now, if we see the service industry all but replaced by autonomous counterparts, well, you can thank Kura's push towards robo waiters.

It's a fun place, but the cost will definitely start to add up after you go through a few plates. Not as great of a value like AYCE, but they do have a rewards program and you can win prizes after 15 plates. Not a spot I'd go to often, but fun to bring friends and fam every now and then.

The service was very nice. We were asked if he wanted a table or a bar area. They had screens to ask for them to come back to refill drinks or to ask about allergies. They explained the prize that we get if we finish 15 plates. There was a lot of cute little themed stuff going on with Kirby game series. They unfortunately had a lot of stuff using umami oil which most likely contains mushrooms which I have an allergy too. But that's not their fault. They didn't know where I was coming. Lol. Food was so good. I forgot we were paying by the plate and spent a lot more money than we were expecting to. I will say that if you come here, ask if we seated near the front, we are sat all the way towards the end and we had slim Pickens as it was revolving around. Which is fine because we get to order stuff off the menu and it comes right towards us on a second conveyor belt.

I love this place. It's fun and the sushi is great. The staff is wonderful. I feel that it's an easy concept to get the hang of. I just can't eat 15 plates to get one of the gotcha balls

I have been going to this exact location for the last 2 years or so. It's gotten to the point I started recognizing the servers! It could be the busiest day or the slowest day and every single person who works here is ALWAYS kind. I only come to this location for the quality of food and the quality that the servers and staff give. Sawtelle and Little Tokyo could never compare! I have even brought so many people here to show them why I love this place! :) Also, this location is much bigger than any of the other ones I've been to. It's bigger and so it's usually pretty calm and not beyond noisy like the other locations. Yesterday after my son was having a meltdown in the parking lot we went to eat at my favorite spot. I was really down because of the whole situation and the staff made it better. They were patient and kind. At the very end the server even gave me a bikkura pon. This is the exact reason that this location will always be my number one option. Thank you!! :)

I love Kura Sushi! I love the novelty of the conveyor belt sushi and the little robot that serves drinks. And the prize you get when you get 15+ plates lol. We went on Coachella Saturday and the wait was only 20 mins at prime lunch time. I was expecting like an hour + wait but the crowds were light that day. We ordered all our food and drinks vs grabbing from the conveyor bc I feel like it's just fresher that way imo. We also ordered the little prizes (sushi charms) they had available. In addition to the sushi we tried the Tonkatsu ramen and I would pass on that next time. It was way too garlicky and the noodles seemed a bit too al dente. The sushi itself was good. We ordered a variety of rolls. Philly, Rainbow, Spicy Tuna, Scallop, etc. The roll that stood out the most was their crab hand roll with soy paper. It was so good! Tasted like a roll you'd get at a more upscale sushi restaurant. Next time I'm starting my order with some hand rolls. The service itself was good but could be improved. We had to ask for a fork twice. I felt that they could have just sent it on the robot to be delivered if they were busy, but it seems like the robot is just in charge of drinks. Service depended on who we asked. Which is normal I guess. TL:DR Sushi - GOOD Ramen - NO Service - OK Robot - The best little robot out there :)

I pulled up thinking "alright... one more chance," after my last let down. Waited just a few minutes and got seated quick. Grabbed a few plates and honestly? Not bad at all -- big improvement vibes. Sushi is on the smaller side with a lot of rice, Most of my orders came from the touchscreen since the belt was a little empty. Soft-shell crab had good flavor, just barely any crab inside ... for that price, throw a little more in there, But overall... solid. Good service, smooth visit, and definitely worth a clean 4 stars.

If you're craving sushi and you're in the Sherman Oaks area, Kura Sushi is a fun place to get a quick fix! Upon arrival, we got on the waitlist with a 15 minute wait (it was 3:45 pm on a Sunday). We decided to walk around the mall until our table was ready. The great thing about revolving sushi is that you get to your table and can start grabbing plates from the conveyor belt right away. We really enjoyed all the nigiri's the most - the garlic ponzu salmon and sweet shrimp in particular were very fresh and delicious. I think each plate was around $3.99, with the exception of speciality items. We ordered a few things from the menu as well, like the spicy tuna hand rolls, but they were lacking in flavor. Overall, it's a fun experience if you've never been to a revolving sushi bar and it's a great option if you're hungry and low on time!

The food is amazing. They have so many options. Everything is very fresh. Their HiChus are yummy, especially the hibiscus and lychee! The service is amazing! Everyone is really nice and attentive! Especially Tony! He is very nice and always makes great conversation! We love seeing Tony when we go! He is the definition of a great employee and customer service

My wife and I's go to quick and easy sushi. The sushi is pretty good. To be fair, we only eat Salmon, Scallop, Tamago, Albacore, and Beef Udon here. She usually orders through the monitor because it allows her to choose with "light" rice. Service has always been on point. They are very catering. This Kura is alway clean.

Kura Sushi is honestly such a vibe. From the moment you sit down, it's nonstop fun--fresh sushi flying by on the belt, easy ordering on the tablet, and every plate tasting clean, flavorful, and super fresh. The rolls were on point, the nigiri melted in my mouth, and don't even get me started on the appetizers... absolute must-tries. What really makes it though? The experience. It's interactive, fast, and perfect whether you're with friends, family, or just treating yourself. Plus, winning prizes for eating sushi? Genius. Safe to say this won't be my last visit. I'll definitely be back, probably sooner than planned

Went to eat with my family and the service was perfect, go greeted by Aerien & Aerlianne In which case Made my experience amazing with the hospitality/service they both provided I recommend coming to this place to eat but what shines the most is the staff :) Also try out the limited items they have going it's delicious!

My nephew chose here for his family birthday dinner, it's his favorite. I've been to a couple revolving sushi spots in the past and always loved them so was eager to try here. things had changed since my sister was last here so now they only take reservations rather than checking in on the app like before. So the earliest reservation we could get was 7pm that Saturday night. We got there early, figuring we could walk around the mall while we waited, when we pulled up around 6:15, there were so many people waiting outside. Figured at least the food must be really good.... Apparently they were running behind about 20-30 minutes so we didn't actually get seated until 7:20-7:25. Vibe inside is kitchy with a robot server going around and conveyor belt weaving around the tables. There is a tablet at each table to order items that may not be on the belt, which were then delivered on a separate conveyor belt straight to your table Unfortunately, despite being crazy packed, the sushi and food overall were less than impressive. Bland flavors, odd portion sizes seeing as all the plates are the same price of $3.99.... Honestly, the only reason this place gets a 3 instead of a 2 is the unique and techy atmosphere. I hope to talk my nephew into going to another revolving sushi place next time

I have been coming here for years and always love bringing family and friends here for the fun experience of revolving sushi. The quality of fish is always good and price is always right. Today I had an issue with making a reservation through the app and my reservation disappeared from the system, Fiza immediately helped us to correct the system error and made sure we still got our table. She's a super star and truly made a frustrating situation much better. Great customer service, I hope management takes note of great employees like her

The service and overall experience are great, and I love being able to order whenever I want. My only complaint is the smell. The first couple of visits were fine, but the last two times it strongly reeked of bleach. While I appreciate cleanliness, the odor was overwhelming and made the dining experience uncomfortable. I'd suggest using a milder cleaning product or finding a way to contain odors from plate disposal. Other than that, everything here is excellent. The only reason for the 3-star rating is that my dining experience lasted only about 20 minutes due to how unbearable the smell was.

My husband and I frequently come to this location with friends since it's in the heart of Lil Tokyo and we can get a quick and delicious lunch. The food and service never disappoint and the wait times are always manageable. We really appreciated our server, Michelle, today as she was one of the most attentive and helpful servers we've had. She truly helped make our dining experience memorable!

Kura is the best but with a server like Aerein! It was amazeballs. Aerein and her fellow servers were attentive and made our experience even better. It's pricey to eat here but good service is always worth the cost ! Well done Aerein! And thank you!

This our all time fave revolving sushi restaurant. There's always a waitlist but didn't have to wait that long. s. The place is vibrant with lively music combined with bunch of hungry people craving for fresh sushi. My sister ordered the beef sukiyaki and the Japanese rice is not as good as the other branch and too salty. Crunchy sushi salmon and salmon with truffle oil is my comfort food. The waiters were attentive to our needs. The restroom well maintained.

Not the best sushi and unfortunately not the best experience though the staff was friendly and tried their best to right the wrongs. Right when we sat down we noticed the plates on the table were dirty. There was sauce caked underneath one of them... eeekkk. We called for assistance and our waiter fixed it immediately by taking it away and replacing them. We noticed a lot of the revolving sushi plates were empty so unfortunately there wasn't a lot to pick from. It was a pretty busy night with a lot of people waiting to get in but it would've been nice to have more food on the conveyor belt. Because of the lack of food, we decided to order things from the menu on the digital screen above. The handrolls were awesome except they kept sending the wrong menu items. We kept asking for assistance and the waiters quickly fixed the issues we had by removing the wrong items and replacing our orders. After so many mistakes we just decided to roll with it. What was happening back there in the kitchen? Maybe they were getting our table mixed up with another? Who Knows! I could maybe see myself going to another Kura at a different location but this place in particular was a little chaotic.

It was my first time going to this location and it did not disappoint. The staff was attentive and friendly. However, I want to make a special recognition for Aerein! She made my boyfriend and I's experience better by being attentive, giving us recommendation's, and having small conversation to make sure we were enjoying our food and experience ! I think it's important when a restaurant can make amazing food but also has great staff members, like her that make you feel seen! I'd highly recommend the seared salmon with Japanese Mayo or with the miso cream cheese, seared scallop with Japanese mayo, and garlic skipjack tuna, they were my favorites of the night! Highly recommend going to this location and hopefully you come across Aerein, she will make sure you're taken care of!

Stopped by Kura Revolving Sushi Bar yesterday and had a great experience. The environment was fun and relaxed, and everything we tried was fresh and came out quickly. Our server Aerein provided great service Friendly, attentive, and made the visit even better. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

My friend and I went on a Friday evening. We arrived around 7PM and the waitlist was 90-120 minutes. We were seated at 9PM. It was a very long wait but this is a popular restaurant that is small inside. It's located at the mall with plenty of parking. The quality of the sushi was good... I DID NOT get any food poisoning or anything like that. I had multiple different sushi and was very happy with the taste. The dessert was amazing and I would order it again in a heart beat. If the wait wasn't so long, I would be back.

The ambiance is busy and very perfect for a city. The service is ok providing nobody explained to us how the revolving part worked. I think leaving the service to a robot is cute but not the best way of providing service only because I ordered 2 waters and the robot was at my table for 10 seconds and then scooted away when I noticed and tried to grab my beverages causing the entire waters to spill lol The food however is tasty. Shoutout the chefs and the cooks for providing great food to me and my lady!!! Gracias team!!!

I come here way too often but it's great for budget sushi and variety. It can get busy and bustling but staff does a great job to get you what you need, Aerein thank you for your help when I needed to get my check wrapped up quickly!! This place is vibrant and lively, never a dull moment.

Great place for quick sushi. Consistent. Love coming here for a quick solo meal. Tonight I had the best service ever by Yasmeen! She anticipated what I needed before I asked. For a place that is very robotic, she made me feel taken care of! Thank you Yasmeen!

I've been to numerous Kura's both here in the US and in Japan. This location is located in the Westfield Fashion Square Mall, in a pretty high traffic area so the ambiance is one of a rotating sushi factory, rather than an experience. That's not saying it's bad as the nature of revolving sushi restaurants is to get you in and out with a level of excitement and joy. The service at this location is efficient, but also mechanical. They're there to serve and to get you out and turn that table. The food...well, it's as expected for this level of sushi albeit there are a few occasional stars like the blue fin tuna and fatty toro. Like every all you can eat type of establishments there is a small level of strategy that's goes into attacking your meal, focusing in on the high value items rather than filling yourself up on the soup and noodles, which by the way cost extra as well. If you want to minimize your wait, download the app or go onto yelp and sign up for the waiting list and then plan your mall visit accordingly. They will accept walk in's but you go on a different list which doesn't get priority especially if you have a specific table that you're interested in. Otherwise, try to enjoy the experience, close your eyes as you take a bite into the nigri and picture yourself in the heart of the Japan capital.

Food was fresh and tasty. Loved the creativity. The moving belt with sushi. It also had a TouchPad to order if you don't want to get from The belt. Service was fast. The food came straight to us. The service was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. Will def come back.

It was delicious and fresh!! Restuarant: Clean, friendly and attentive wait staff (including the robot that delivers the beverages--super cool and scary). Sushi: FRESH and TASTY. Not my first revolving sushi bar but definitely best that I've been to here in LA area. It runs like a typical revolving sushi bar as if in Japan. We were surprised how tasty the sushi was! Only criticism was the ginger we received was too fresh--needed to be ripe to eat but that's all--which really means they serve fresh sushi which is absolutely important. Price: It's $3.95 a plate which with the current state of inflation, I'm not surprised how expensive it is now as everything is expensive BUT I'd still come back and tell friends. If you're full quickly off of sushi, then you won't spend too much. Otherwise just know this going in.

I had dinner at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Sherman Oaks at Westfield Topanga Mall, and it was a solid 4/5 experience! Arriving around 5 PM on a Thursday, there was no wait, which was a big plus. The service was impressive. Both fast and attentive, making the whole experience smooth. The sushi was better than I expected, with most dishes tasting fresh and satisfying. The cheesecake dessert was an unexpected highlight as it was sweet, creamy, and a perfect way to wrap up the meal! While the conveyor belt had a lot of repetitive dishes, you can order specific items if you're craving something in particular, which helps. At around $3 to $4 per plate, it's reasonably priced for the quality and the fun, interactive setup. Definitely worth a visit for a casual, quick sushi night! Every 15 plates eaten you get a chance at the gacha machine that gives keychains (you collect 5) with one of them being like an ultra rare. Oh and service robots bring you your initial drink order

My wife got food poisoning from here. Try if you dare!!!! I highly wouldn't recommend anyone going here if they want something fresh.
